BIBLE TEXT: PSALMS 100: 1-5

If you are “BORN TO SING GOD’S PRAISE” I want you to shout hallelujah – Hallelujah!

… Now shout that hallelujah like you mean it – Hallelujah!

I like to appreciate our Father and Mother in the Lord for the opportunity to stand before the children of God to share the Words of the Lord. Daddy, may the Lord continually increase you in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.

Shall we be on our feet as we worship the Lord.

OPENING PRAYERS:

Creator of the Heaven and the Earth, we bow to You tonight. We the people You have brought forth to sing Your Praises; we ask tonight that You will dwell in our Praises, in the Name of Jesus.

Tonight, I ask for utterance. I ask for the right interpretations of Your Words. That at the end oh Lord, Your children will be blessed; and You alone will be lifted high.

Thank You Father; in Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Can someone shout hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Tonight, the Theme of this Holy Ghost Service is: Swimming in Glory – Part 6. And I will be talking to us on the Topic: BORN TO SING GOD’S PRAISE.

BIBLE TEXT: PSALMS 100:1-5

1 Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. 

2 Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his Presence with singing.

3 Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture.

4 Enter into his gates with Thanksgiving, and into his courts with Praise: be thankful unto him, and bless His Name. 

5 For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all Generations.

Brethren, tonight I would like to make the definitions of some Terms in the Topic:

To be BORN means to bring forth. Or to come into existence by birth (repeated).

To SING means to make Musical sound. Or to make joyful Musical noise. (Repeated).

PRAISE is the expression of Worship to God (repeated)

“BORN TO SING GOD’S PRAISE” Means: brought forth to make joyful Musical sound in expression of Worship to God; for Who He is and for What He does.

Brethren, I like to tell you tonight that we are a people brought forth to sing God’s Praise.

Everyone that is born on planet Earth: whether as a believer or an unbeliever: we have been brought forth to sing God’s Praise.

In the Book of Revelation 4:11; the Bible says: “Thou art worthy, O Lord, to receive Glory and Honour and Power: for thou hast created all things, and for thy pleasure they are and were created.”

… ALL things; ALL things!

Brethren, whether you like it or not; you have the mandate to Praise God. And if your life is not bringing Praise to God; you are living in error. you are not fulfilling Purpose.

I like to tell you: that everyone Born on Planet Earth has been brought forth to “SING GOD’S PRAISES”.

Peradventure the people of this world are not going to Sing God’s Praise; I tell you, every child of God has been separated to sing God’s Praise.

The Book of 1 Peter 2:9; the Bible says: “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the Praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into His marvellous light:”

Brethren, I like to tell you tonight: that you have been separated from the world to sing Praises unto the Lord.

We are a people called out; a people separated for a particular Purpose. And that Purpose is to show forth the Praises of God, who has delivered us.

I like to tell you also tonight, that there is no time limit to Praising God. You are expected to Praise God in the morning, in the night and in the noon time. When things are going well, when things are not going well: everyone is expected to show God’s Praise.

In the Book of Psalms 34:1; the Psalmist says: “I will bless the LORD at all times: His Praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

I will bless the Lord in the morning, I will bless the Lord in the noon time. When things are rosy I will bless Him, when things are not going well, I will bless the Lord.

WHY? Because this is the reason I am fashioned.

WHY SHOULD WE PRAISE GOD?

No. 1 reason we should Praise God is because He CREATED US.

God made us, and because of that singular reason: we are expected to Praise Him.

In the Book of John 1:3; the Bible says: “All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.”

I like to tell you that because God made us, we are expected to show forth His Praises.

No. 2 reason why we should praise Him is because He is the ALMIGHTY.

Almighty implies that God is sitting on top of ALL. He is Above ALL, He is Greater than ALL, He is Higher than ALL, He is more Powerful than ALL.

… HALLELUJAH!

For that singular act, we are expected to show forth His Praises.

It takes the humble to Praise God.

If you are humble you will be Praiseful. When you are Praiseful you will become Thankful. And when you are Thankful: Praises will begin to burst out of you.

… Hallelujah!

Let me tell you; as a child of God if you are Praiseful, it means God has come down to inhabit your Praise.

I tell you the truth, when God comes down to inhabit your Praise, anything is possible: the sick can be healed, the lame can walk, the dead can be raised up again, battles can be won.

And I tell you, tonight as you praise God acceptably; the Lord will go into your life and make all things beautiful again in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

BENEFITS OF SINGING GOD’S PRAISE

No. 1 benefit is, when you Praise God acceptably, He takes over your battle. God takes over your battle!

Now, you can’t Praise God and be a victim.

Brethren, you cannot Praise God and be a victim.

In 2 Chronicles 20: 21-22 the Bible says:

21 And when he had consulted with the people, he appointed singers unto the LORD, and that should praise the beauty of holiness, as they went out before the army, and to say, Praise the LORD; for his mercy endureth for ever. 

22 And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and mount Seir, which were come against Judah; and they were smitten.

When you Praise God and He comes down to dwell in your Praise, your enemies will be smitten.

No. 2 benefit why you should Praise God is because when you Praise Him: He comes down to rescue you.

… Brethren, you cannot Praise God and be a prey!

I like to take you to Acts 16:25-26. The Bible says:

25 And at midnight Paul and Silas prayed, and sang praises unto God: and the prisoners heard them. 

26 And suddenly there was a great earthquake, so that the foundations of the prison were shaken: and immediately all the doors were opened, and every one’s bands were loosed.

I tell you that when you Praise God; you can be sure that He will come down to rescue you.

WHAT ARE THE DANGERS OF USURPING GOD’S PRAISE?

How do I mean?

When you decide to take God’s Praise, what happens?

Hallelujah!

No.1 thing that can happen is that GOD CAN DEBASE YOU.

God can bring you low; God can bring you down when you don’t give Him the Praises that belong to Him.

Daniel 4:40, the Bible says: “The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the Kingdom by the might of my Power, and for the Honour of my Majesty?”

… by the might of my Power, and for the Honour of my Majesty?

The Bible tells us that ALL POWER belongs to God. All Majesty and all Honour are unto God. And here we see a man (a mere mortal) ascribing Majesty to himself.

While God was waiting for him to appreciate Him for helping him to rule such a Kingdom; he was busy arrogating Praise that belongs to God to himself.

And all of a sudden (you know the story) God DEBASED him.

… God took him from the Kingdom of men to the Kingdom of beasts!

I pray for you tonight: you will not take God’s Praise in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

No. 2 Danger of usurping God’s Praise is that God can summon your soul – your soul can be required of you.

According to Luke 12:16-21 (you know the story of the rich fool)

“And he spake a parable unto them, saying, The ground of a certain rich man brought forth plentifully:…..

Instead of this man to begin to appreciate God for what He has done – for increment…

I like Apostle Paul so much – Apostle Paul knew that every increase that you can record today is coming from the Lord.

That is why he said in 1 Corinthians  3:6: “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase.”

The Bible says in Luke 12:16-21 (Please refer); God was waiting for this man to ascribe the Glory due Him to Him. But this man gave the Glory to himself; he never recognized God.

Let me tell you brethren, the day you begin to think that the increment you are having (or will be having) is coming from the fertilizer or because of the fertility of the soil: without giving Praise to God, Who gives the increase.

… I tell you, you can be in danger of God summoning your soul.

My prayer for you tonight is that you will not be in the danger of usurping God’s Praise, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

As I conclude tonight; It is not everyone that qualifies to give God Praise.

“It is not everyone that is qualified to give God Praise.”

In as much as God cannot afford to share His Praise with any man; but the Praise of a wicked man, the Praise of that man that has not repented is an abomination unto the Lord.

In the Book of Psalms 15:1-3; the Bible recorded a lot of things that qualifies one to sing God’s Praise.

… He that walketh UPRIGHTLY!

In the Book of Psalms 24:4, it says: “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor swore deceitfully.”

… It is only such people that can Praise God.

If you are not qualified to SING GOD’S PRAISE, and you open your mouth and sing; you are just making noise. And God cannot inhabit in such Praise.

I pray for you tonight, that you will give God acceptable Praise, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

Peradventure you are not qualified to Sing God’s Praise, you have a mandate tonight; God can qualify you. You have an opportunity tonight!

As our Father in the Lord will be coming up to Minister, when he makes the Altar Call; please I would like you to come and give your life to Jesus.

It is only then that you will QUALIFY to SING GOD’S PRAISE.

It is only then that you can be sure that when you Praise God, He will accept it.

And I have told you earlier that: When God accepts your Praise, He steps into your battle. He can fight for you and give you victory.

My earnest prayer for you tonight is that the Lord will fight for you; and that He will handover Victory to you, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

I like us to rise on our feet tonight, as we pray.

Peradventure you are not qualified; you still have opportunity to qualify tonight.

We are going to sing this song that the people of Israel sang unto the Lord; when the Lord delivered them from the hands of the Egyptians; when the Lord crossed them from the Red Sea – They gathered, they raised this song unto God.

Before we pray, I will like us to stand on our feet as we sing this song:

Among the gods, who is like You?

Glorious in Holiness,

Fearful in praises

Doing wonders

Hallelujah!

PRAYERS:

1. I like you to say: My Father, my Father; tonight as I Praise you, please take over my battles. Open your mouth and pray that Prayer:

“FATHER; tonight as I Praise you, please take over my battles, in Jesus’ Name.”

 … In Jesus Mighty Name we have prayed – Amen.

2. I like you to say: my Father, as I Praise You tonight; restore to me everything the enemies has stolen from me.

Open your mouth and pray that Prayer to God.

3. like you to say: I will cause my children, and my children after me to Praise You. 

Cause my children, and my children after me to Praise You; because You are Worthy of my Praise.

I like you to sing your own Praise unto God. Choose a song and sing unto Him; He inhabits our Praise. Just Give Him Glory, Honour and Adoration. There is none unto our Father. From Generation to Generation He is God.

Thank You our Father, we are born to sing Your Praise; we are born to Honour You. Our generation will worship You, our children will bless You. Be Thou Exalted, be Thou Magnified, Be Thou Glorified. You are Worthy oh Lord.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have prayed – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER:

Father we Thank You tonight; Your Word is Yea and Amen! The entrance of Your Word (the Bible says) gives light and understanding.

Tonight, we pray: Our lives will reflect Your Praise, in the Name of Jesus.

We will tell our children and our wards to Praise you because You are worthy. Be Thou Exalted tonight.

For in Jesus Mighty Name we have prayed – Amen.
