Shall we rise to our feet!
Can you lift your right hand and say: Jesus I love You! Wave your hands to Him – let it be from your heart. Say Jesus I really, really love You. Thank You for Your Special Love for me: You love me so much that You gave Your life, You suffered and died, that I may escape the captivity of the devil and sin!
Thank You for Loving me so much.
In Jesus Name we Pray – Amen!
OPENING PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we Thank You, we exalt You this morning, we Magnify You. Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
This morning we give You all the Praise, we give You all Adoration; Thanks for the Gift of another day, Thank You for an opportunity to be in this Ordination Service. Thank You for Your Goodness, Thank You for Your Mercy. Glory be to God.
In Jesus Name we have pray – Amen!
Let the newly Ordained people shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
I want you to shout louder another shout of Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
If you are sure that something New has started in your life; shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
Please be seated!
I want to Thank God for this Glorious opportunity to be in this Service. And I want to Thank our Father in the Lord, and our Mummy – the Lord will preserve you; the Lord will preserve you. And all your enemies will be put to shame.
… Let me hear a resounding Amen – AMEN!
I say all Daddy’s enemies will be put to SHAME – Amen!
Somebody say: Thank You Jesus!
“SINGS SHALL FOLLOW”.
… Signs shall follow you – Amen!
The Topic given to me is taken from St Mark Gospel Chapter 16; and because I’m speaking mainly to Students of the Bible, and Pastors. I assume that you know the content.
Something had happened, Jesus had risen from the dead. Three and halve (3½) years before now. After His baptism in water and His fasting. He was confronted by the devil: an OFFER was given to Him.
And the OFFER given to Him is this: I know what You have come for – it is to take the World (the kingdoms of the world).
He said, look at it all, according to Luke 4:5-6. He said but don’t let us struggle over this – if You just BOW to me and give me worship, ALL these Kingdoms and their Glory, and their Authorities shall be Yours!
And Jesus said: GET THEE BEHIND ME SATAN; ABOMINATION! Only GOD is to be Worshipped.
You want worship? You will never get it – not from ME!
And Satan said to himself: Well, am going.
The world has been delivered to me, and am not going to give it to YOU (if you don’t bow).
… And he LEFT!
Jesus proceeded and began to establish the Kingdom of God – preaching “REPENT! For the Kingdom of God is at hand”.
And He began to establish the Kingdom – Calling people to Repentance and to Faith in God, Healing the Sick, doing Miracles and Casting out devils!
And the MULTITUDES kept coming together.
… Coming together, Coming together. Thank You Holy Spirit.
And Jesus did so much – that the Kingdom of Darkness was provoked. And finally, they decided to kill Jesus.
Jesus warned His Disciples severally, that He would be killed and encouraged them that, that will not be the end. That He will only spend three (3) says and three (3) nights away. And He will be BACK!
But the Disciples did not understand.
So true to His words: He was arrested, and put to death. His Body was Graciously released by Pilate to Joseph of Arimathaea and He was buried.
But after three (3) days and three (3) nights in the belly of the Earth; the unexpected happened; the unimaginable happened – Jesus Christ ROSE from the dead!
And it was this Triumphant Resurrection that led to this Statement.
The Disciples were divided: Some believed and some did not believe, until He came to them.
He gave them “Incontrovertible Proof” that He is the same person that was crucified, that has RISEN from the dead.
And after He told them, He said: now that you have every assurance that I AM the same Person; it’s time to take over the world!
So He told them in Mark 16:15-16:
15 And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.
16 He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.
Believe in What?
Those who believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of God; those who believed that Jesus Christ took away their sins and that it was because of sins that He DIED!
Those who believed that Triumph over sin, over death and over hell and He ROSE from the dead:
… These Signs shall follow them!
So if you are a Believer, can you stand on your feet. If you do believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of the “Living God” and that He took your sins away and died on the Cross and He rose again from the dead – So do you believe?
Say after me: “I do believed that Jesus Christ is the Son of the “Living God”. He took over my sins and paid the price for my sins. He died because of me on the cross and was BURIED. He Triumphed over sin, over death, over Satan and over hell and rose from the dead.
Since I am a Believer – according to what God has said and according to what Jesus said then: “THESE signs shall Follow me” –
In the Name of Jesus, I will cast out devils. In the Name of Jesus, I will continually Speak in Tongues. In the Name of Jesus, I will take up serpents and if I drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt me. I shall lay my hands on the sick and the sick shall recover.
Thank You Father; I am a Believer. And these SIGNS are following me – Amen, Amen and AMEN!”
You may be seated!
Look behind you – What can you see? What can you see?
Tell yourself: the Signs are following me!
That suggests, that you are also going!
The SIGNS are to follow those who are OBEYING the Instruction – “Go Ye into all the world” – don’t just sit down!
The Signs are not guaranteed to follow those who SIT.
When you look at Matthew Gospel, the same period Jesus said to the Disciples – “All Authority in Heaven and on Earth has been given to ME” (that’s why He said “GO”).
He said therefore, because I have received all Authority both in Heaven and on Earth – “GO” therefore!
How is it that this Man that was offered the Authorities over kingdom of the EARTH three and half (3½) years ago (on the condition of worshiping Satan now turns around after His Resurrection and said:
“All Authority in Heaven, on Earth…”
That means something happened!
He must have taken over the Authority of the Kingdoms of the Earth from the devil. And that is why Jesus could boldly say: Not only the Authority of the Rarth but the Authority in Heaven.
I have Good News for you: We can enter wherever we want to enter. We can take over! But we must “GO IN THAT NAME!”
If you further go down in the reading in Mark 16:19-20:
So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into Heaven, and sat on the right hand of God (where He’s still sitting now).
And they went forth, and preached every where,
… I am re-establishing it: that for you to see Signs and Wonders, you must “GO FORTH”!
… the Lord working with them, and confirming the Word with SIGNS Following.
So the Lord will go with you, the Lord will work with you, the Lord will confirm what He has said with Signs and Wonders following you.
Let me hear three (3) Powerful Amen – Amen, Amen, AMEN!
AND WHAT TO PREACH?
In Luke 24:47: “And that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in His Name among all nations, beginning at Jerusalem.”
… Repentance from sin and Forgiveness from sin.
Any Religion that cannot provide Forgiveness for you cannot take you to Heaven. Any Religion that cannot save you from sin cannot take you to Heaven!
AND HOW DO YOU KNOW A RELIGION THAT CANNOT SAVE YOU FROM SIN?
It CANNOT break the Power of sinful habits.
It has no Assurance of Salvation. It tells you that when you die, then God will weigh your Good Works and check it against your Bad Works. And then maybe you will make it.
Listen, the wages of sin is DEATH!
Any Religion that has no Solution to Death and Sin; cannot save you.
ONLY JESUS HAS SOLUTION – WHY?
Jesus is the Only Man that lived for as long as thirty three (33) years (on Earth) and did not commit a single sin.
Jesus is the Only Man that ever opened His mouth to forgive the sins of people.
Jesus is the Only Man qualified to give His Life as Sacrifice – offering His Blood for the removal of our sins.
Jesus’ Blood is the only POWER that stops the devil.
Jesus is the Only Power that has ever come on Earth and harassed the devil and cast out devil.
All other Religions; they offer sacrifice to devil.
Jesus is the Only Man that cast them out. And also gave Authority to cast them out!
Jesus is the Only Name that causes demons to tremble.
Jesus is the Only Man that treats death as sleep and wake people from dead, as if He is waking them up from sleep.
Jesus is the Only Man that said He would die, how He will die and how long He would be dead. And said it categorically – that He will “Rise Again”!
Jesus is the Only One that ever opened the grave, and brought out the dead and displayed them in Jerusalem.
If you don’t preach Jesus; there is no Hope for the world!
All other gods, they are liars. All other gods they are impostors. All other Religion have no answer to sin, to death and to devil.
But Jesus said: in my Name: “YOU WILL CAST OUT DEVILS!”
Somebody Shout Jesus – JESUS!
We must not fail. The world has no Hope without Jesus Christ.
And Jesus said we should “GO and preach Repentance and preach forgiveness of sin!”
Meaning, you will no longer be condemned – because your sins are forgiven.
Brethren, for us to effectively discharge this duty, He said: I will be with you all the WAY. I will not leave you to go alone!
Then the concluding part of that verse 20 said: “…and the Lord went WITH them.”
That brings us to the Acts of Apostles – He went with them.
They got filled in the Holy Ghost in Chapter 2 (like you have gotten filled).
Peter Preached his first Sermon and in Acts 2:37; he made the Harvest. He ordered them to repent and three thousand (3,000) people repented.
Chapter 3 – the Lord still going with them at the Gate called Beautiful: The Lame was RAISED.
That man had been sitting at the Gate called Beautiful. He had been sitting at that Gate before Jesus Christ was born. Jesus Christ passed through that Gate but did not attend to him.
But on this day (after Jesus Christ had gone to heaven); He followed Peter to the Gate and He attended to the man.
Peter said: Silver and Gold, I do not have (in Acts 3:1-8), and he said: but what I have I give you – In the Name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth; “RISE UP AND WALK!”
And Peter turned like this: “Jesus I know You are here”. He held the man and the man stood up! Then they looked at him and said, in what POWER have you done this?
He said: let it be known – that I, Peter did not do this. I Peter did not do this! But that Jesus Christ whom you Crucified, whom you rejected – He has made this man well!
Everywhere you go – the Lord will “GO WITH YOU!” He will confirm His Words with SIGNS FOLLOWING!
“The Lord working with them and confirming His Word with Signs following…”
The Leaders became furious and decided to arrest Peter and John and queried them – to know the Secret of their POWER. And they said: JESUS CHRIST!
They threatened them but they went back and Prayed!
When they threaten you; go back and PRAY!
And Jesus Christ gave them “More POWER”.
Then by the Chapter 5 of Acts of Apostle; The MULTITUDES began to troupe out from outside Jerusalem. And the Leaders became embarrassed! And they arrested them again. They said: didn’t we tell you not to Preach in this Name again? And they flogged them!
And Peter said: We have one Assurance – We will continue to preach in THAT NAME!
… And there were “MORE MIRACLES” until the Priests themselves began to turn to Jesus Christ.
We will take over the WORLD! Satan has lost control of the world. We will take OVER – Iron sharpens iron!
So for you to MANIFEST these Signs – WHAT DO YOU NEED?
You need to believe that what Jesus Christ said is True – as He had SAID IT!
In 1977 when I shared this Scriptures and told all the New Converts that they were going to receive the Holy Spirit and Heal the sick. One of my Superior Pastors looked at me – “he said: Joseph, you are taking this Doctrine too far”.
So he refused to mind me.
When the Power of God was released and the people were Anointed; I ordered them to start Healing the sick; and there was INSTANT Results.
He said: Joseph is very LUCKY today! If nothing had happened, I would have lambasted him for his false Doctrine.
It is those who believe ONLY, that will see what Jesus Christ Says.
So stop sitting on the edge!
Do you believe Jesus Christ as He says concerning you? – These SIGNS are following you?
… Then Go and Preach!
So for you to Manifest these Signs:
Believe what Jesus Christ has Said.
Say what Jesus Christ Said out of your own conviction.
What you believe now Say it and start telling yourself – “These Signs are following ME!’
“Act Out” what you are Saying.
Refuse to DOUBT – to think otherwise.
REAFFIRM always that you have these Signs following you.
Jesus Christ will make them to happen.
… You have the ROLE – Nos.1 to 5 is your business; but No. 6 is Jesus’ Christ Business.
He has not failed me in over forty (40) years. Every time we call His Name – He shows up!
… Jesus Christ will “SHOW UP” for you.
HOW CAN YOU KEEP THIS POWER – after God has released it to you?
STAY Holy, Stay under the Blood!
Don’t be like Samson – he was going in and out!
Every time Samson went to the Territory of Philistines; he ate unclean, touched unclean, tasted unclean, lived unclean.
It is dangerous to carry this POWER and be eating unclean – Ah! You will be destroyed!
Anyone who loves unclean and also wants to keep this Power; will destroy himself. If you want to keep this Power stay under the Blood.
Any Hebrew that went out (on the Passover Night) under the covering of The Blood got Hit!
If you have confessed your sins, and you have been cleansed by the Blood Jesus; then STAY under the Blood. Don’t go out to pick the sin again – STAY HOLY!
If you take this Instruction to heart, then I will do what the Spirit has laid on me.
What I’m going to do is nothing New. But just to release the Fire of God. That, that which God has deposited in you will begin to Manifest.
Now, if you don’t believe me at all, don’t bother!
But if you believe that you want to carry something Extra, and you are really ready to go and Preach the Gospel -Assistant Pastors (you want to Preach the Gospel with Special Anointing) – COME OUT!
You want to Preach the Gospel with Fresh Anointing, I say COME OUT!
And if you don’t believe, DON’T COME!
Alright, stay there! That’s ok – Just stay there.
POWER is coming to you Now, Now; Now!!!
… But it is Power to Preach (with Signs following).
Now Power is coming on you.
NOW listen to me – Do you make a Covenant with God that you will stay Holy?
Hello! Are you hearing me?
Listen to me (don’t pray) – Listen to me:
… You are to receive and not to pray – I didn’t call you to come and pray.
Do you Promise God that you will Oreach the Gospel?
Say: Lord I Promise you before this Congregation and at this Altar – “I will Preach the Gospel”.
Do you Oromise God that you will stay away from sin?
Say Father; I Oromise You (by Your Special Grace) I will stay away from sin and live on the covering of Your Blood 24/7; all the days of my life in the Name of Jesus Christ.
Do you believe that what Jesus Christ said concerning you is True?
The Bible says: “… Believe the Lord your God you will be established; believe His Prophet you will Prosper”;
Do you believed me that this Power will fall on you NOW?
What Power is it?
You have to be Specific: Power to Heal the Sick? NO!
Which Power? Power to Preach the Gospel? – So that sinners will repent?
Which Power? Power to Cast out devils?
… OK mention the Power you want before I PRAY!
In Jesus’ Name we PRAY – Amen.
Have you made your demand? Have you asked God? Then you need to make a Conclusion.
Jairus said: Come and lay Your hands on my daughter; she will not die – she will live.
“… Come and Lay Your hands” is a DEMAND. “She will Live” is a CONCLUSION!
Did you hear me? The woman with the issue of Blood said: if I just TOUCH the helm of His garment – I will be whole.
“..Touching Him” is a DEMAND; “… I will be whole” is a CONCLUSION.
Now I want you to make a CONCLUSION – that place where you are standing NOW, the Power of God will fall on you!
So make your Conclusion: say Father, Your Power is falling on me right here! My heart is open – I am receiving Your Power RIGHT HERE!
… In Jesus Name RECEIVE!
Now, you have finished your prayer: lift up your hands, see yourself receiving. The Fire is going to FALL.
PRAYER BY REV OLAIYA:
My Father, my FATHER; As You sent me, and what You said to me – they have made their Covenant to stay Holy. They have made their Covenant to stay under the covering of the Blood. They have made their Covenant to Preach!
FIRE FALL!!!! – Power to heal the sick, to cast out devils, to set Captives Free, to Preach the Gospel with boldness, to bring sinners to the Kingdom.
… RECEIVE THE FIRE (the Fire falling). RECEIVE THE FIRE!!!!!
From NOW: Signs will follow you – Signs and wonders will follow you.
SINGS will follow you!
And you will give all the Glory to God.

Am sure that all the Ordainees have a copy of the Sermon Outline?
Am sorry there is an error where I quoted that 19,100 people are being Ordained. The Record truly shows 12,800 – Am sorry about that.
“There is a difference between speaking as a Leader and speaking as a FATHER”.
The Leader is primarily “Project Oriented” but the FATHER is “People Oriented.”
As I was preparing for this Meeting, the burden that God put in my heart (in addition to a few other things He showed me) was that: I should address you as a FATHER.
I would never have claimed that myself; but since the impression was very strong in my heart, I will do just that!
So I will be a little slower than I would normally preach, just to make sure what am saying SINKS into our hearts.
AND GOD SAID: GO YE (2ce); “GO YE!”
I have about five (5) Prayer Sessions:
The Opening Prayer
The Closing Prayer, and then
The Prayers for each of the Sections that you have in the Sermon Outline.
And the First Prayer Session, I would like us to rise and really pray with all our hearts, and ask God to ACTIVATE HIS CREATIVE WORDS IN ME.
… Ask for yourself!
Can we say Father; ACTIVATE YOUR CREATIVE WORD IN ME!
Please pray that Prayer: that the Creative Force of the Word of God would be ACTIVATED in your life.
ACTIVATE Your Creative Word in me, Oh God. Let Your Words dwell in me with Creative Force, Creative Power, Creative Ability. Oh God, Your Word; let it not be the LETTERS to me; let it be SPIRIT, let it be LIFE! Your Word oh God, ACTIVATE in me: its Creative Force, its Creative Power.
We ask oh God that as this Message comes, that it will work in everyone of us with Creative Force, with Creative Power!
In Jesus’ Name we have PRAY – Amen!

BIBLE TEXT: MARK 16:15
“And he said unto them, GO YE into ALL the world, and Preach the Gospel to EVERY Creature.”
As I all looked at this Passage, I felt that Jesus said this with a Father’s heart – a Father that is BURDENED. A Father that has Vision – He’s not a Father that is visionless, He’s not a Father that is Passionless, He’s not a Father that has no direction. But One that is really BURDENED!
Because this was the key thing; it was more important to Him at the time of His departure than any other issue: GO YE! – “And GO YE into ALL the world, and Preach the Gospel to EVERY Creature.”
And because the Lord Jesus Christ said this; we have Prayed that He will ACTIVATE the Creative Power of His Words in us.
We would take that “GO YE” and allow it to work in us – allow it to work in every perspective of our lives.
We will allow it to work; in our Ministries, in our Marriages, allow it to work in our Health, in our Finances, our Academics, our Businesses.
When He said: “GO YE!” He meant what He was saying – Go and Preach, go to all the world and Preach to every Creature.
This will lead me to the Second Prayer that I want us to Pray. You can sit down as we pray this prayer: Ask God to saturate us with the PASSION for souls.
Can we say Father; saturate me with the PASSION FOR SOULS!
Please pray that Prayer in the Name of Jesus Christ – Father saturate me with the PASSION for souls; with the desire to get people saved! The Passion for souls. Please Lord, please in the Name of Jesus, Oh God saturate us with the PASSION for souls. Lord Jesus, let this be the thing that is ruling my life. Let the Fire burn in my heart and in my bones. Passion for souls, we ask for everyone of us – Not just to know it, not just to experience it, but we will be saturated with the PASSION for souls.
Thank You Father! In Jesus Mighty Name we have prayed – Amen!
So “SECTION A” of our Outline made a statement. It asked a question this morning (it’s actually supposed to be a question): WHAT’S BURNING?
And why that question is asked is because (as you see in the First Scroll); “Whatever is burning in your heart is ruling in your life.”(2ce)
Even when Jeremiah said he wasn’t going to Preach to the world; but the Word was burning in his heart and burning in His Bones. And so he couldn’t stop himself – he couldn’t resist it.
If it is the Word burning in your heart, and burning in your bones: you can’t stop Preaching that Word.
Paul said: Woe is unto me if I preach not the Gospel. Woe is unto me, I have no other reason to live.
In fact, Paul was so convinced about it. The Word was burning in his heart so much that he couldn’t stop.
The other way to put it is: let me be accursed if I Preach not the Gospel.
“The thing that is burning in your heart is the thing that is RULING your life.”
If you check your life, you will find out that the most outstanding Passion that you have is the same thing that colours everything about your life, your Ministry, your Marriage, your Finances, even your Health.
… Everything is coloured by your “Most Outstanding PASSION!”
WHAT IS BURNING IN YOUR HEART?
What is the Fire that you have?
In fact I recommend to people that: “The Word should be written in your heart with BLOOD and FIRE”.
And when I say: BLOOD and FIRE; I mean the Word should be written in us with Blood – that is, it is something worth dying for.
… The Gospel is something worth dying for.
It’s a true statement that “Whatever is not worth DYING for is not worth LIVING for”.
The Gospel is worth Living for, and the Gospel is worth dying for.
If something burns in your heart to the point of desperation; that you say: Look, even is this will cost my life, it is Worth doing. Then nothing can stop you.
You are UNSTOPPABLE, when a Passion holds you to the point of life and death. When it is an issue of life and death; then that thing is written in you with BLOOD; and it is written in you with FIRE!
When it burns in such a way that ‘out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”
In the THIRD (3RD) SCROLL we talk a little bit about “MISSIONARY”
While I was praying, if what I received is correct; this Batch of Ordainees will have the Strongest impact in Mission’s work, in the Redeemed Christian Church of God, so far!
In fact there were two (2) illustrations that came to me as I was Praying.
I kept hearing the Word “ZEBEDEE” (repeatedly).
And I said, how is Zebedee related to those to be Ordained.
And what came to my heart is that: Jesus changed their names to the sons of THUNDER (2ce).
And then the second thing that came to me is that the number of you who will follow what God has told them will be known the way George Muller is known in Bristol .
Anybody who goes to Bristol, and mention George Muller, in fact it is an household name in that place (even after decades that he died).
… He made an impact in that Town that nobody has ever made.
God is sending you (a number of you) to Towns, to Cities, to Villages where you will make an impact that will keep your name indelible, in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen!
And the most important thing about the Missionary is what is burning IN HIS HEART – A true Missionary has THE WORD burning in his heart.
If the Word is burning in your heart; nobody at all will be able to stop you.
And then in the FOURTH (4TH) SCROLL; we are talking about your ULTIMATE POTENTIAL.
The Word of God is the SEED for you to manifest your Ultimate Potential.
There are three (3) MAIN LEVELS Of POTENTIAL:
No. 1 is your PERSONAL Potential – What you are able to do without another person’s help.
And of course that is not so much. There isn’t so much any of us can do without another person’s help.
The second level is your “Added Potential”.
Your “Added Potential” comes to Optimal level when all those who can help you; you operate in such a way that they help you.
When God sends you help from the Sanctuary; sends you help from Zion; sends you help from Heaven. And you allow all those Helpers to help you – You enter into the “Added Level” of your Potential.
And your “Added Potential” can be Exponential – it can multiple in a way that people will wonder where you came from and where you have being. Just because people are helping you:
“You are as great as the number of people and the kind of people who are Helping you.”
… That’s your “Added Potential!”
Your “Ultimate Potential” is when God takes over what you are doing.
When God begins to do for you; Exceedingly Abundantly above all that you can ask or think; and it is ccording to His Power that works in you.
Your “Ultimate Potential” results from your response to the “Creative Force” of the Word of God.
The “Creative Force” of the Word of God is activated by the Holy Spirit.
… So your “Ultimate Potential” results from THE WORD!
If the WORD burns in your heart; you will go beyond your “Personal Potential”, you will go beyond your “Added Potential”, you will enter into your “Ultimate Potential”.
Can somebody shout Hallelujah? – Hallelujah!
Then in the FIFTH (5TH) SCROLL: we say that every Activated Word of God, is SPIRIT and is LIFE.
If it is not Activated, it is a Letter. But if it is Activated, it is Spirit. It affects the Spirit and it affects the Life.
When the Word is Activated in you, you will have “Genuine Converts” – People who become Born Again and they can last. They will remain in Christ! Because the Spirit and the Word are working in your life.
And I want to look at the SEVENTH (7TH) SCROLL: THE SLACK IN EVANGELISM.
Anytime you find out that you are not burning in your heart for Soul Winning; the Word of God is going down – the Word Level is going down!
It doesn’t matter the position you occupy, anytime you noticed that the Fire for Evangelism has gone down; the Fire for the Word has gone down!
And I say it again: “It doesn’t matter the position you occupy, when the Fire of the Lord is burning in you, you cannot cannot stop telling people about Jesus Christ”
… You just can’t stop!
And God will have Mercy on us in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen!
We will pray our third PRAYER to prepare our hearts for the next Section of the Message.
And this Section says: POUR SOUL WINNING PASSION INTO MY HEART AND BONES
Someone would say it’s the same thing as the first. No, it’s not the same thing – There is PASSION for souls and there is SOUL WINNING PASSION.
PASSION for souls drives you – gives you the desire, the intensity to win souls. But the actual SOUL WINNING Passion – the nitty gritty of Soul Winning is another thing.
You can have PASSION and dissipate it for other things – dissipate it in noise making, dissipate it in anything, but not soul winning.
But when real SOUL WINNING drive (in the Holy Spirit) works in your heart, works in your bones then you will start counting the Converts that you have led to the Lord.
When it is only PASSION, you can have Passion without results. And that means – the real Soul Winning Power, the real Soul Winning Force, lacks a dimension in your life.
When Souls Winning dimension is activated in your life, you will count your Converts; you will know the people you have led to Christ.
If you say you don’t know people you have led to Christ; you can’t remember people you have led to Christ;
… You may have PASSION without Productivity. You may have PASSION without real Soul Winning.
This is why I want us to PRAY! This one, I want us to rise and pray it:
Can we rise and say FATHER: Pour Soul Winning Passion into my heart and into my bones. I want to win souls, I want to count the Converts, I want to know specific Converts. Pour the PASSION for this into my heart and into my bones.
Please go ahead and PRAY in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ: Father whatever it will take, pour Soul Winning Passion, Soul Winning Reaction, Soul Winning Wisdom, Soul Winning Power; into my heart: into my bones.
Oh God, like some people would say: Give me children or I die! Give me Scotland or I Die! Give me Whales or I die! Father, give me SOULS!!!! Pour that Soul Winning Passion into heart and into my life, oh God. That real Soul Winning Passion; the reality of bringing souls into Your Kingdom, pour it into my heart, pour it into my bones!
Thank You Father; in Jesus Mighty Name we have prayed – Amen!

So that SECTION B says: GO, KEEP GOING.
By the Grace of God I Witness everywhere – I Witness in Plane, I Witness in the Airport, I Witness in the Train, I Witness at every opportunity that God gives me.
Anytime I cannot say that these are the souls that I have won this Year; these are the people I have led to Christ – I know that I need to GET BACK to my place of Prayer and to the place of Fire in the Word: for FIRE of the Lord to act in a way that souls will be saved (and saved in definite ways.
… GO! Keep going!
You see, SCROLL NO. ELEVEN (11): “If you Stop GOING, You Will Stop GROWING In Power.’
If you really want the Power of God, you have to keep going.
Because if fear comes in, for instance and we fear to confront obstacles; then we need Miracles.
More Miracles comes into your life when you have the boldness to confront obstacles.
If Moses hid himself, and God said: “Go and tell Pharaoh”. And Moses just hid himself – he didn’t go to Pharaoh. He wouldn’t have been turning that water into blood; he wouldn’t have called the locust, called the frogs, called the lice. Moses wouldn’t have commanded thunder. The execution of the firstborn wouldn’t have taken place.
But Moses obeyed God and he kept going – as long as God said GO!
Please help be tell your neighbour and says: GOOOOOOOOO! Please make it as long as you can. Just say: GOOOOOOOOOOOO!
Please tell your other neighbour too. Now please tell yourself – Gooooooooooo!
… Keep going; keep going! -Gooooooooooo!
… That is the KEY to Power!
What I call “CHURCHGELISM” is when we settle in our Churches and look for ways to get people from other Churches into our Congregation – I call that “CHURCHGELISM”
It is not fair on the Kingdom of God – because that means there is no increasing in the Kingdom – “If your Parish is increasing without an increase in the Kingdom of God, then there is a problem!” There is a fundamental Spiritual Problem.
God forbid that Parish would increase without an increase in the Kingdom, in the NAME OF JESUS – Amen!
… It is a major problem;
If your Parish is increasing, the Kingdom should be increasing.
Therefore, we must reach out to unbelievers, and win them to Christ – RADICAL EVANGELISM: Winning the people as RAW unbelievers into the Kingdom of God.
In fact, getting them into the Kingdom first; is even more important than getting them into your Congregation.
… We need to think the way God thinks!
By the time you have Preached the Gospel for a while, you will find out that there are many things we do, that are unnecessary. There are many fights we fight that are unnecessary. Many things are just worthless – waste of time and waste of energy.
We need to concentrate on the things that are more important – the REAL PRIORITIES!
And the real priorities are in the HEART of God.
“CHURCHGELISM” is not a priority to God. RADICAL EVANGELISM is a priority to God!
And in SCROLL NO. THIRTEEN (13): It is good that you can use Instagram, you can use Facebook, you can use whatever the names are – all of them – Twitter and so on!
But even as you are using them, please make sure that this is coupled with Spiritual Preeminence.
Let SPIRITUALITY be the thing that is more important to you.
In every age, there is a New Invention; there’s a New Crazy, there’s a New Trend. As that trend flows on – we should use them (as Gospel Preachers) as Vehicles; not loose our abilities our lives in them.
Please these are tools.
You are not supposed to be bound by your phones and become a slave to your phone, a slave to your laptop, your iPad, your system.
Spirituality, Communing with God, hearing from Heaven is more important than Hearing the News of the day:
Knowing what is in the mind of God is more important than knowing what is going on in your Nation.
Because what God says about our Nation is the TRUTH about our Nation. And what God says about anybody is the TRUTH about that person.
SCROLL NO. FIFTEEN (15): At this stage of the Redeemed Christian Church of God; it is important to build a solid system – so that the WORK (all the labours of the years) can last.
But I want to tell you Brethren: DON’T GET LOST IN THE SYSTEM. Because you will be held accountable by God – BY GOD!
It doesn’t matter what the System says about you; what mattered most is what God says about you!
‘DON’T GET LOST IN THE SYSTEM – you can get lost in a System.”
A person gets lost in a System when he is not hearing what God is saying. All he is waiting for, all his directives are EXTERNAL.
WHAT IS THE SOLUTION TO THIS?
God has Chosen you, to use you as someone who contributes to the upgrading of the System by POWER – by the Power of the Word.
Let God so EMPOWER you with the Word that you are an UPGRADER of the System – not someone LOST in the System.
For this reason; SCROLL SIXTEEN (16): EVERY
PROMOTION you are given must be seen as an OPPORTUNITY to INCREASE IN POWER.
Let me tell you what am looking forward to.
I prayed this Prayer SPECIALLY, as I prepared to come here: That a time will come, when you are mentioned somewhere – Ah, that man/woman is a Deacon/Deaconess in the the Redeemed Christian Church of God, people will say: Wooow!
Not because of the kind of car he rides, not because of the kind of dress he wears – but because when they hear “he is a Deacon or she is a Deaconess in the Redeemed Christian Church of God’; they will say: that person must be carrying POWER!
Please someone say Power! Say it loud: POWER!! Say it again, POWER!!!
When they now say: somebody is an Area Pastor in the Redeemed Christian Church of God – the people will say, please can I see him? I know that if he prays for me I would be Healed. I know if he prays for me it will Change things.
When they now say: Somebody is a Provincial Pastor in RCCG; they will say I just want to touch his dress.
When they say the person is a Regional Pastor – Wooow! They want to touch his car.
Somebody say POWER!
That is what we need in the System – for you to Upgrade the System.
See every Promotion as an Opportunity to increase in the Power of the Almighty God.
SCROLL SEVENTEEN (17): John Wesley said – the WORLD is my Parish!
You cannot say it with ordinary mouth. There is no way the WORLD becomes your Parish if you are not committed to people who PERISH!
It is your commitment to those who are PERISHING that determines how much of the WORLD you can claim to be your Parish.
Am sure we know that Song: Rescue the Perishing; Care for the Burden.
May that kind of burden flourish in your heart, in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.
I want us to PRAY – the second to the last Prayer;
PRAYER NO. 4: God let me carry Your Glory (repeatedly). Let me carry it in a TRANSFERABLE manner.
Let me carry Your Glory in a manner that is SUSTAINABLE. Transferable, Sustainable!
Let me carry Your Glory.
Please can we just pray (right now where we are) and just say Father: Please let me carry Your Glory. Everywhere I go to, let me carry Your Glory: let my Shadow heal the sick, let handkerchiefs from my body cast out devils. Let me carry Your Glory. Let demons tremble as I walk in.
Let me carry Your Glory, oh God. Let me carry Your Glory.
Thank You Father, in Jesus Mighty Name we have prayed – Amen!
Section C: SHOWER IN POWER: GO!
When the Lord God said “GO YE”; He said tarry in Jerusalem until you be ENDUED with Power from on High.
Tarry until you are endued with POWER. The Power must be coupled with the going.
I want to plead with us, whatever it will cost you to create time and have time alone with God, please do it. Please do it!
An illustration comes to my mind: There was a lady that came to me and said she used to have Revelations but she has stopped (since she got married). I told her that: “Marriage does not stop Revelation”.
I said there is something you used to do before you got married which you have stopped.
She said ok, I used to pray between 12.00am and 1.00am every night – but since I got married I have stopped.
I said what stopped you?
She said I don’t know – maybe tiredness.
I said NO, It is not tiredness.
When does your husband sleep? – She said any time between 9.00pm and 10.00pm.
When does he wake up? She said 4.00am.
When you sleep usually around 1.00am. (That time is still open!)
… When she started praying 12.00am to 1.00am she started receiving Revelations again.
Tarry, Tarry! Stay with with God (3ce).
At the end you will find out that when you look back, the things you achieved when you stayed with God have are by far more eternal values than all these running around that we try to do – Running around trying to change things that we cannot change.
It doesn’t matter whom you are; find time to stay with God. Find time to stay with Him.
Tarry until you are ENDUED.
For every opportunity you have, tarry with God to specially ENDUE you for that opportunity.
… The Lord will help us in Jesus’ Name!
SCROLL NO. TWENTY THREE (23):
“CARRY THE GLORY, IT SUPERSEDES ANY ANOINTING.” (2ce).
Anointing is specific to the kind of Miracles that it may work. But the Glory can work any Miracle.
The GLORY is the Sign of God’s Presence.
By God’s Presence, He decides to do anything He likes – He’s not limited by your own Gifts and Abilities.
The Glory supersedes your Gifts and your Abilities. The Glory supersedes whatever you have learnt, whatever you have experienced, the Glory is superior to it.
And the Glory does not come accidentally; it comes by tarrying!
Tarry until you are ENDUED – till you arre COVERED with Glory.
… That’s what will make the Major difference in your life.
And then, I would also advise – from the TWENTY FOURTH (24TH) SCROLL there:
If two (2) will chase ten thousand (10,000) and one (1) will chase one thousand (1,000).
That means if two (2) people are working separately, they will chases one, one thousand. When you add it, it’s two thousand (2,000). But when they come together, they will chase ten thousand (10,000).
Then whatever it will cost you to work together with your brethren, please do it – DO IT!
Lone Rangers are cutting themselves short.
Lone Rangers – is just like a hand working alone. Let it carry itself wherever it’s going without the legs.
Let the hands feed itself without the mouth.
Work together (2ce); Don’t ever be the Problem. Wherever there is Unity. Don’t ever be the cause of disunity.
Promote Unity, Synergize, Work Together. And get the results that God has Purposed for you.
And LASTLY; SCROLL NO. TWENTY FIVE (25):
“Pursue POWER, and never DESPISE Administrators and Administration.”
Became that is the tendency that when you get very highly Anointed you begin to think that those that God has called to handle Administration are no longer Spiritual.
There was one very Spiritual Man of God that God used him to save tens of thousands of people. He made a statement – that was the beginning of the end of his Ministry.
He looked at somebody who was working in the same Ministry and he said that: “That person has as much Holy Spirit as his Dinning Table”.
They said from the moment he made that statement, it was like the Glory was lifted from him.
Don’t look down on Administrators and don’t look down on Administration.
Without Administration there will be no sustainability. Without Administration, you won’t have where to sit. This Public Address System would not be working well. There will be no order!
GOD is the Owner of all Power, and the Bible says: He’s not the Author of confusion – He’s not the Author of Confusion!
He is the Owner of all Power.
Every Power that every other person has is “Delegated POWER”.
And God is not the Author of Confusion. So don’t you ever DESPISE Administration – IT IS IMPORTANT!
Without it, the Revival will begin to go down – it will not be sustained.
So I would like us to rise up and pray the FINAL PRAYER:
This Final Prayer came to my heart (there are 2 dimensions to it).
Ask God for the WORLD – Ask Him: “Give me the WORLD (repeatedly). Make me Faithful where you have kept me now and make me Available. Make me TEACHABLE!
Make me Faithful, Available and Teachable! Make me Faithful, Available, Teachable.
Please Father, give me the WORLD, give me the WORLD; GIVE ME THE WORLD!!!
Please pray this prayer with the whole of your heart – With ALL your heart: give me the Whole World because You have got the whole world in Your Hands.
Give me the whole world; make me Faithful, Available and Teachable; please talk to God….

So lift your voices to Him and say Father: Silver and Gold are yours. All Your children who are involved in the Creation of Wealth; Prosper them Mightily. Go ahead and talk to Almighty God: that whatever they touch Lord, let it Prosper; everywhere they go, let them find Open Doors. Let them find favour with men, let them find favour with God. Now this is the week of our Convention. Let us call on the Almighty God that like never before, He will Manifest His Glory.

Father, accept our Thanks in Jesus’ Name.
Father, all Your children who are involved in one way or the other in the “CREATION of WEALTH”; anoint them from now on; whatever they touch, let it Prosper. Wherever they go, let them find Favour with God and let them find Favour with men. Open Mighty Doors unto them. Just let it be well with them.

BIBLE TEXT: 1 SAMUEL 2:7-8
… We will be talking briefly on: “LIFTED INTO GLORY”.
… Somebody is going to be Lifted today.
While you are opening your Bible, let me give you a secret information;
There have been Conventions before and there will be Conventions again after this. But this Year’s Convention is going to be a “CONVENTION LIKE NONE OTHER!”
As you know very well, the THEME of the Convention is: “AND GOD SAID”.
What is it that He said? –
The FIRST time He spoke, He said: “Let their be Light” and there was light.
During this Convention; darkness is going to be chased away.
The second time He spoke, He was speaking directly to man and He said; “You are blessed! He said, be FRUITFUL, MULTIPLY, have DOMINION….
God has a lot to Say and beginning from tomorrow, He will be Speaking.
If I were you, I would not miss a single day.
Tell your friends, tell those your loved ones (tell them that I said so); This week, Destinies shall be Transformed.
1 SAMUEL 2:7-8
The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up.
He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among Princes, and to make them inherit the Throne of Glory: for the Pillars of the Earth are the LORD’S, and he hath set the world upon them.
I say it again; He is going to “LIFT UP” somebody here today – Amen!
PROSPERITY IS IN LEVELS; I am sure we all know that.
We have the Poor, we have the Rich, we have the Wealthy, we have the Prosperous and we have the Flourish. But we have, based on the Topic before us today:
And we have what we could called “THE HOLE LEVEL”.
This is when somebody is inside a hole.
Financially speaking; a good example you will find in the book of 2 Kings 4: 1-7.
It tells us of a woman who was not just broke but so heavily in debts; that the only thing of any value in her home were the sons.
When a man is so down, to the extend that there is nothing anybody could say he wanted to sell – that is a HOLE (he is inside a hole).
He may be able to climb out if the HOLE is not very deep.
But if the HOLE is very deep, he would need assistance. He would probably need someone who would throw down ladder and say “use this one to climb up”.
Or occasionally, when people fall into a HOLE, they may break their legs and in the process maybe, somebody would throw down a rope and say tie this one round your waist so that we can pull you up.
My Prayer for everyone who is “OWING” anything at all is that; in God’s Own Miraculous way, very soon, you will be “DEBTS FREE” – Amen!
Another level of Prosperity is what we called “VALLEY LEVEL”.
It means this fellow is not inside a hole but it is VERY CLOSE.
… Just one (1) step higher than the one in the HOLE.
In 1 Kings 17:8-16; the Bible tells us about a woman who had only one meal left. She was not owing anybody, but very little difference between her and the one inside the hole – because she had just one (1) meal and death comes!
There are some people who are not owing but they are extremely poor.
You say, how do I know? I have been there before!
I remember as clearly as yesterday the day my father bought an umbrella, we celebrated it.
I had been there because the first eighteen (18) years of my life, I had no pair of shoes. I went through the Grammar School bear footed. It was even a Niracle that I finished the course.
I pray for everyone of you that are being tormented by Poverty, my Father will “LIFT YOU UP” – Amen!
When you hear some people criticizing you because you Pray that God should Proposer you, don’t pay attention to them – they have not been there!
They don’t know what you are going through. Many of them don’t know how you find it difficult to pay your house rent – They don’t know!
I know it and that is why I say from the bottom of my heart; none of my children “WILL DIE POOR” – Amen!
Then we have anothe Level: It is not the Hole, it is not the Valley; it is “LEVEL GROUND”.
For example, in Genesis 33:1-9 Esau and Jacob met after long years of separation. Esau had Promised the last time they met that the day he would see Jacob again, Jacob would be dead – because Jacob stole his Birthright.
But when they met after a long time and God intervened, they reconciled and they hug each other and wept.
But Esau said to Jacob: What is the meaning of all these animals that you sent ahead of you? He replied that: I wanted to buy favour – they are for “Peace Offering”.
He looked at him and said, brother, I have ENOUGH – keep your own materials as I have Enough.
Beginning from this .onth, in the Name that is above every other names, you will always “HAVE ENOUGH” (Repeated 2ce) – Amen!
I think it was around 1975 and someone was complaining that there are too many cars in Lagos, that is why there is Traffic.
One of my friends (very funny) said: you haven’t seen anything yet because am yet to buy my own car. He said cars are too many but they are not too many yet – for he has not bought his own.
I decree today, in the Name that is above every other names; you will have ENOUGH – Amen!
Then there is another higher level, that is the one we call: “The HILL LEVEL”.
This one you are not in the Hole, you are not in the Valley, you are not in the Level Ground.
Because the Almighty God has lifted you up into the “HILL TOP!”
In Genesis 26:12-14; the Bible tells us about a young man called lsaac. The Bible says he sowed and reaped one hundred percent (100%) and he began to Prosper on and on till a whole Nation began to envy him. He had so much money and he became the talk of a whole Nation.
When you get to that level, the Bible says: A City that is set on a Hill cannot be hid.
When you get to a certain level of Prosperity, you cannot pretend that you are not rich because people will “SEE IT”.
There is a type of car that you will ride that will show us (even before you arrive); it will tell us: “Here comes the Wealthy Man” – this one is not just surviving.
When you get to that stage you will begin to (forgive my grammar) make “YANGA” (Boast).
Even if you don’t want to because people will come to you and ask: “How are you doing it?”
You will just tell them: Oh, its not me, it’s the Grace of God and a little bit of “Hard work.”
The fellow will say: “I am working hard too”.
You will say: “It is a little bit of Common Sense” and the fellow will say I have common sense too – Tell us your Secret!
When you get to that level, Preaching the Gospel becomes easy.
Then, you will be able to say: Come to my Jesus, come and TASTE and see that the “LORD IS GOOD!”
I decree in the Name that is above every other names, you will be on the HILL TOP – Amen!
Finally, there is another level that we called “GLORY LEVEL”.
The example is in the book of 2 Chronicles 1:6-15.
It tells us the story of a young man; just on a Thanksgiving Sunday (like this) and he decided that he was going to say “THANK YOU” to God in thousands times – each time he said Thank You God, he would give Him a cow.
After he did that one and by the time he had slaughtered Seventy (70) Cows, the Priests were looking at him. Then when the thing began to get to hundred (100) Cows – they thought, maybe something was wrong with him. They said: your Majesty, is it not becoming too much? He said you haven’t seeing anything yet – A Thousand Cows!
Because when we just read it from the Bible, we have to imagine it. He told them keep on killing – it’s not your money.
… That night God said I will Pay this boy a visit.
There is someone here today, you will get a VISIT TONIGHT – Amen!
And then, God asked him: Young Man, what do you want? Because what you have done what nobody has ever done before.
What do you want?
And he said: God, what You have done for me is more than enough. I just want to say “THANK YOU”.
If I may need anything at all, I will need WISDOM to serve You better.
God said are you sure that is all what you want?
He said Yes Lord, that is all what I want.
And God said unto him: what you have asked for, I will give you and what you “DIDN’T ASK” for I will ADD!
The Bible says that things got so Good for Solomon that Silver was treated as ordinary stones in his time.
When they brought Silver to him he will say: Go and drop it at the backyards – anything that is not Gold I don’t want to see it in my Palace.
I have Prophesied it before and some peoples didn’t believe me. But I am going to repeat it today again because I know somebody will believe it: That a time is coming when those people working for you (when they want to report to you); I mean, when they bring Cash Report to you – you will say to them: I don’t want to see Five Hundred Naira (N500) notes, take them away! All I want is One Thousand Naira (N1,000) notes.
I am going a step further, under the Inspiration of the Holy Spirit: A time is coming for somebody who is listening to me (or reading) today that: When they want to give you your Financial Report; they will only be reporting in Dollars, Pounds, Euro.
… If you believe that let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!!!
But as we read in the Text, it is God who makes poor, He is the one who makes Rich, He is the one who “Pulls Down” one and He “Lifts Up” another.
When it comes to “Materials Success”; your Wisdom, Ability, Education, your Human Connection has nothing to do with it.
God is the OWNER of Silver and Gold – He is the ONLY ONE who Prospers!
The Elders have a sayig in Yoruba that: “Kira Kira ko dola, kasise bi eru o da nkan kan” (Meaning you can struggle vigorously, you can work hard. Working as a slave not enough).
If you want to see an hard working people, go to Wharf (This is somewhere in Apapa Lagos State, Nigeria). You will see hefty men, who are strong, placing a bag of cement on the left shoulder and another bag of cement on the right shoulder.
Find out how much they take home everyday?
Yet you will see some people will just be putting in their signature – if they remove their money from the bank, the bank will get into problem.
I decree in the name of the God who sent me, God will LIFT YOU UP INTO GLORY – Amen!
It takes only one (1) Action of God – not two (2) to “Lift you Up to Glory”.
When you get home, read Genesis 41 (read it carefully). Joseph was in prison, he was sleeping inside the prison among other Prisoners. And if anybody came and Prophesied that day and said: “there is someone here that by tomorrow you would not know Poverty anymore”. Joseph would not be among those who will say Amen!
But a King had two (2) dreams and couldn’t understand. Finally, they brought in Joseph, he interpreted the dreams and the King said: You are not going back to the Prison again, you are now my Prime Minister – Whatever you say in Egypt must be Obeyed.
… Just one Action of God!
I told my Ministers some days ago, that those who can Help them reach their Goal in life, God would send them some dreams!
Joseph knew this that there is only One Fellow who could “Lift him Up to Glory”. That is why when temptation came to hom he said: “I can’t do this thing and Sin against God.”
That is why when we say get away from SIN – it is sin that causes one downfall! Because it will say: this fellow should go down.
It is Holiness that “LIFTS one UP!” Because He said: How can two (2) work together except they agree.
You want to be at the “Glory Level”; then be Holy as Am Holy!”

That is why this morning, am appealing to those of you who might be here still living in sin – don’t delay your Progress.
Come and surrender your life to Jesus. He would wash you clean from your sins and your Journey to Glory would begin.
I am going to count from one (1) to Seven (7). If you want to give your life to Jesus Christ, you can come now and I will pray for your Salvation and everything you touch will begin to Prosper.
I am counting now 1……
You might be the only one, don’t wait for anybody else, the choice is yours. Promotion comes from God – He lifts up one and pull down another and you can’t query Him.
But when you belong to Him, He can easily “PULL YOU UP!”
Thank you those of you who are clapping – your hands will never be empty.
It is the Blessings of the Lord that maketh one Rich and adds no sorrow. If you are not on His side, you can’t expect His Blessings. Come and give your life to Him.

Now those of you in front; talk to Almighty God: I have come to surrender my life to You. I want to say bye bye to sin, save my soul, be my Lord and my Saviour; Go ahead and talk to the Almighty God.
The rest of us; let us stretch forth our hands towards our new brothers and sisters and intercede for them: that the One who saved our Souls should save their Souls too. Pray for them, intercede for them that God would wipe away all their Sins. He would give them a Brand New Beginning. He will turn the Tide in their Favour.

Father, I am Praying that today as they have come to You, You will receive them, You will let Your Blood wash away all their Sins, You will write their names in the “Book of Life.” You will receive them into the family of God. I pray that from now on, anytime they call on You, You will answer them by Fire and I pray that they too will serve You till the end. Thank You my Father!
Now all Your children who are here today they will be crying unto You now for “Lifting Up”: Lord, those who are in the HOLE, Father lift them Up. Those who are in the VALLEY, Father lift them Up. Those who are on the LEVEL GROUND, Father lift them Up. Those who are on the HILL TOP, Father lift them Up!
Please Lord before the end of this Month, let there be remarkable Changes for the better in all their lives!

Seeing “the world of sport today” as “a field of Christian Mission” may be a novel concept for many people.
On the superficial level, the Spiritual values of Christian discipleship would seem to conflict with the ideals of sports, which are viewed primarily as a secular activity.
Sports have become extremely important in the modern day world.
Political supremacy is often settled in the athletic field.
Professional sports occupy an important number of hours of TV programming.
Millions of people are involved in competitive leagues of all sorts.
Christian individuals will constantly be involved in competitive sports in one way or another: participating, watching, listening to Christian athletes and even evangelizing and giving Pastoral cares to athletes.
Sports and religion (Christianity) are essential tools for development, unity, stability, togetherness and peaceful co-existence among sports men and women as well as spectators i.e. sports lovers.
The only time Nigerians come together without any religious and ethnic sentiment or bias is when there is competition.
Religion and the role of religion as it pertains to sports involvement remain an area of concern – it should be apparent that sport and religion do have various common bonds.
Throughout history, humanity has invented sports primarily as a means to meet socially with others to display skills and physical prowess and to entertain or offer excitement.
Sports are recreational or competitive activities that involve some amount of physical strength or skill that has a form of disport meaning a diversion and an amusement.
Sports act as physical outlets; they allow participants to work out aggressive energies and emotions through involvement in the competitive recreational activity.
The roles of sports among many other things include the following:
To pursue personal achievement and self-promotion.
To be instrumental and goal-oriented in whatever one does.
To always be prepared for competition
To promote and develop social co-existence.
Religion fosters friendship; most societies see it as a means of recreation.
People converge in Churches and on days of Worship to meet friends and business associates.
Some regards it as a form of leisure.
There is no racial prejudice as it knows no bounds.
Religion advocates for love, brotherhood and social cohesion even among brethrens.
Several inherent relationship exist between sports and Christianity (religion) for instance: character building, discipline, competition, crown, physical fitness, constant practice, mental fitness, fairness,
playing according to rules, nationalism, and religiosity etc.
As such, sports are simply religion-like because both sports and religions have a similar characteristic that produces similar consequences.
It is observed that “Sports-Religions” relationship started from the Bible where … Jacob wrestled with the unknown (Gen. 32:24-30).
The following are identified similarities between Religion (Christianity) and Sports:
Both have places or buildings for communal gatherings and special events. Most sports have stadiums and arenas where fans attend regularly scheduled games or contests, and most religions have churches where believers attend regularly scheduled services.
Both emerge out of a similar quest for perfection in body, mind, and spirit. Sports emphasize physical training and discipline for physical development, and religions emphasize physical control and mental discipline for spiritual development.
Both are controlled through structured organizations and hierarchical systems of authority. Sports have commissioners, athletic directors, and coaches, and religions have Bishops, Pastors and Priests.
Both have events that celebrate widely shared values. Sports have games and contests to celebrate competition, hard work, and achievement, and religions have ceremonies and rituals to celebrate commitment, community, and redemption.
Both have rituals before, during, and after major events. Sports have initiations, national anthems, halftime pep talks, hand slapping, band parades, and postgame hand shaking; and religions have baptisms, opening hymns, regular sermons, the joining of hands, and ceremonial processions.
Both have heroes and legends about heroic accomplishments. Sports heroes are elected to ‘‘halls of fame,’’ with their stories told repeatedly by sports journalists, coaches and fans, and religious heroes are elevated to sainthood or sacred status, with their stories told repeatedly by religious writers, ministers, and believers.
Both evoke intense emotions and give meaning to people’s lives. Sports inspire players and fans to contemplate human potential, and religions inspire theologians and believers to contemplate the meaning of existence.
Both can be used to distract attention from important social, political, and economic issues and thereby become ‘‘opiates’’ of the masses. Sports focus attention on athlete celebrities, scores, and championships, and religions focus attention on a relationship with the supernatural, rather than here-and-now issues that affect the material conditions of people’s lives.
SOME BASIC TRUTHS ABOUT CHRISTIANITY AND SPORTS
Being an athlete is not easy. The kind of patience and perseverance it takes to practice day in and day out for years, often without immediate reward, is not uncommon.
The true athlete follows all the rules in order to achieve his or her goal. Likewise it is not easy to be a Christian. The kind of righteousness and perseverance it takes to please God until the last day is available to us only because of God’s grace.
Both the Christian and the athlete know very well what it means to fight patiently now to be glorified later. They know how to live wholeheartedly for a goal.
Paul compares the Christian life to a race, but with a better prize in the end in 1Corinthians 9: 24-27.
The elite athlete is characterized by his Self-Discipline and Will Power.
He knows he can master his own body. He knows he is physically superior, and his will is stronger than most other people’s will.
But where is a Christian’s real strength? Not in his youth (Isaiah 40:30), nor in his Might and Strength (Psalms 33:16-17); likewise it’s not in his Greatness or Popularity (Psalms 118:8-9).
It is true that there is a physiological kind of Strength that has to do with physical fitness, and another one with will Power, but both are nevertheless limited by how much of them a person has at any particular time.
The kind of Strength and Might which come from God have nothing to do with those mentioned above.
They depend on the fear of God and trusting and hoping in Him.
If you are a Christian athlete you must avoid the temptation of thinking that Victory depends only on strictly following a training routine, thinking that you are in control of your life and thinking that you, by your own means only, can jump one centimeter higher (Matthew 6:27).
The athlete must give everything he has got in order to win, but the less he relies on his own Strength and the more he abandons himself in God’s Hands, the Greater his Might and Victories will be (Isaiah 40:28-31).
Athletes are used to giving priority to Sports before social life, rest, study, work, family, etc., and it is true that unless they do that, it will be very difficult to succeed.
At the same time, God wants the Christian to keep his/her priorities straight. God is number one (Deuteronomy 6:4-5), and Salvation should be everyone’s first concern.
It is necessary to give everything to sports in order to achieve success.
There will always be injuries, sickness, and failure; only the best however will get the prize.
And what is the prize? Is it worth all the effort?
The athlete fights for a medal or money prize, but the Christian strives to receive an eternal reward.
Should a Christian risk the latter in order to obtain the former? (1 Corinthians 9:24-25).
Worship is often used in the Bible with a restricted meaning, related to Service and bowing down.
In order to please God, Worship must meet several requirements: it must reflect a life dedicated to obedience and the service of God (1 Samuel 15:22-23; Micah 6:6-8).
The worshipper must live in Holiness (Psalm 15), and be Just (Isaiah 1:11-17).
The Bible’s Old Testament is full of prescriptions for acceptable worship.
Furthermore, the New Testament states that there is one way to Worship God: in Spirit and Truth (John 4:21-24).
It is a little risky, therefore, to try to fit Sports competition as Worship.
The use of the term celebration (notwithstanding that celebration is sometimes a form of Worship) would be more appropriate. Although real competitiveness ought to be a characteristic of the Christian athlete, one condition should be met: the Glory and Praise should always be God’s, not the winner’s.
This is very difficult because sport fans idolize their champions.
The whole structure is built with a secular perspective.
Olympic Games, for instance, are a celebration of man’s Victory and Great Capacities.
True Christian games would not award medals to the winners but would end with Praise and Adoration of God (Acts 14:8-17).
In conclusion therefore, the ‘‘uses’’ of Sports by rlReligion and the ‘‘uses’’ of Religion by Sports are shared.
The combination of Sports and Religion strengthen National Unity, Church Membership, Self-Discipline and Character Moulding to cope with uncertainty, stay out of trouble, and give meaning to sports participation and Christianity.
It also put Sports into proper perspective, establishes solidarity and cohesion among teams, and reaffirms the rules and authority of coaches and the faith of Christians.
We are currently on the threshold of the biggest revival in the history of mankind.
The world however requires fire to jolt it out of complacency in order to appreciate God’s move and intentions to the world.
Without Signs and Wonders however, many people will not believe.
The Church is built on the Faith in Jesus Christ which is backed up with Power.
Without this Power, Christianity will not be different from the other religions.
When God started His dealings with the Israelites, Fire played a keyed role. Over times however; this Fire ingredients was dropped, Power eluded them and their relationship with God became a mere religion containing only traditions, rules and laws.
The coming of Jesus Christ however restored the Fire back into the Church.
Shortly before His ascension to Heaven, Jesus Christ promised His disciples the Baptism of the Fire which took place on the day of Pentecost.
At the Upper Room, literal Fire descended on the heads of one hundred and twenty (120) believers.
This waxed hotter as the Church grew with progressive revival. They care less about human approval and applause.
Within a short space of time after the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, the Gospel about Him had spread out to Rome, Alexandria, Antioch and all the great cities of Europe, Africa and Asia.
The Gospel had made great in-roads into the aristocracy and among the intellectuals – changing the lifestyle of countless number of ordinary men and women. This was achieved through Evangelism among the Disciples and Apostles.
Many years later however, the Fire continued to diminishes.
By how much you may want to ask as we approach the last days?
Therefore there is need for the outpouring of God’s spirit on His Church to sustain the Fire before it goes into extinction.
God has an expectation for His Church. It is His desire that the Church be identified by her Fire-Powers. He wants His Church to be filled with “Divine Fire” so that satanic agents will not be able to operate within and around the Assembly of the “Called-Out”.
There must be Fire on the “Prayer Altar” at all times.
A “Perfect Christian” is a Christian that is without blemish – a Christ-Like individual indeed!
Today however, what you will observe with utter dismay is how people counterfeited True Worship of God in the name of religion. People now worship in the flesh and not spirit.
The problem with many so-called 21st century Christian worshippers is that they no longer admit sin as sin. They trivialise sin and regarded it as “unavoidable mistakes” – so they never confess same or strive to overcome it.
This therefore explains the carnal worship and rascality in the name of Pentecostalism as we observe in most of our Churches today.
What we have now is a situation whereby witches and wizards now sit comfortably in our Churches because of Lukewarmness of the Believers and lack of fire in the midst of the Congregation.
To sustain your Christian life therefore and be part of “The Unstoppable Church”; you must watch over overcoming sin and the wind of false doctrines across the face of the world in these End-Time.
A lot of doctrines contrary to the Doctrine of Christ are polluting the minds of members of the Church which ought to be flushed out.
Many so called Christians nowadays are not well grounded in the Word of God. If you have a half-baked knowledge of God’s Word, you are giving room for the enemy to fill you up with false doctrines.
The bible says you should avoid peddlers of false doctrines – you should not greet them, receive them to your house and infact take to your heels when you noticed any of them around you (Romans 16:17; 2Thessalonians 3:6 & 14).
Any attempt to restore such fellow, you need to be put on your Spiritual Guards and be extra careful not to be swept off your feet by his/her false doctrines.
Another area to avoid is “Imperfect Service to God”. Many people work not caring if their work is acceptable to God or not.
You may be shocked on Judgement Day that God will deny knowing many supposedly workers of God.
Of all the vessels in God’s House, “Golden Vessels” stands out.
Paul was such a vessel and therefore God performed special miracles through him (Acts 19: 11-12).
You may start out as vessel unto honour but sadly end up as vessel of dishonour. Gehazi is an example of this – he started well as a servant of Elisha and threw away the golden chance of being the greatest Prophet of his time by not ending well to receive the double portion of the Annointing in the life of Elisha.
God is interested in the Growth of His Church.
Growth comes to those who are filled with the love of God.
The Church is a living organism and not a place, building or organisation and God has a special plan for her Growth.
God is not interested in you fishing without a catch (Luke 5: 4-11); having a lost sheep that is not restored (Mathew 18: 11-14); a lost coin not sought for (Luke 15: 8-10) and a ripe harvest that are not reaped (Mathew 9: 36-38).
What truly mattered to God is a sweet Fellowship with Him.
He can do everything with Nothing – He can put His Word in your mouth (Exodus 4: 10-12); commissioned even inexperienced men (Jeremiah 1: 4-10) and overlook lack of equipment and resources as reasons why some Churches are not Growing.
“The Unstoppable Church” therefore should resemble the “New Testament Church”.
They should be one whose membership and work are opened “ONLY” to those who are saved.
They should be the Church that continues daily steadfastly in Fellowship with one another both within the Church building and outside the Church – breaking of bread together in their various houses like the Early Church; giving themselves wholeheartedly to the earnest Study of the Word of God and Fervent Prayers.
Each of the Believers among them should Grow and become Strong in the Lord.
Such a Church must be a Studying, Sharing and Praying Church with the manifestations of Signs and Wonders being a common-place among them like the Early Church (Acts 2: 42-47).
Holiness is a Great virtue that must be evident in a Church that is Unstoppable. You must first and foremost be Holy Spirit filled – this is indispensable in the life of any Christian.
… Without the Holy Spirit, you cannot have any meaningful dimensions of fruits of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5: 22-23) that will make you a “Perfect Christian” in the world today.
We need to be clear about our Identity – though we are in the world but we are not of the world.
Therefore, we ought not to be bugged down by the affairs of this world but that of heaven. Our affections ought to be on the things above (John 15: 19; Colossians 3: 1-2).
MTN came to Nigeria at a time when nobody wanted to invest in Nigeria, at a time when Nigerians did not have phones. Even Zenith Bank refused to loan MTN cash to operate,
UBA rejected MTN’s offer but today see the difference.
What about Cowbell? When they came to Nigeria, they made milk in a sachet, Peak was laughing at them – they said Cowbell was milk for the poor – but they were right! 3-million poor people could afford N10 a day for a sachet of milk.
Oya, do the math – 3 million people buying milk at N10.00- that was N30million every single day. In a month they grossed N900million (almost N1billion).
Even Peak had to make sachet milk in order to survive in the market. So what have people told you?
What have they said you cannot do, or you do not qualify for, or you do not have experience for?
They told Cowbell, they told MTN, but today the story has changed. I have a feeling something is changing for you today!
They will change their strategies just to keep in step with you.
Don’t listen to what people are saying or what life is showing you. Don’t let the “NOs” stop you from sowing. Be happy when you get “NO” for an answer because your “YES” is veryyyyyy close!!!
YES, YOU CAN.
Success is not a destination, its a journey. Go and SOAR!!!
In 2Chronicles 1: 6-15, we have a documented story about how King Solomon benefited from the Spirit of Wisdom.
You may be tempted to think that the secret on why he was endowed was because he asked for wisdom. But have you ever asked yourself why God visited him on that crucial night?
Maybe his offering you may want to say next?
It was recorded that Solomon gave a thousand (1,000) burnt offerings.
But the next logical question is who gave this young boy the wisdom to do such a thing like this at a time no one else has ever done such before?
The truth of the matter is that it was God Himself that gave Him the wisdom to GIVE and also inspired him to seek for WISDOM to enable him rule God’s people.
God later went on to give him an open cheque to ask for anything.
Friends, the “Grace to Give” comes from God!
John 3: 27 says: “John answered and said, A man can receive nothing except it be given him from above.”
Some people are natural misers by nature and so comfortable when they do not have to give.
There are some other people by virtue of their professional training find it difficult to part with money.
On the other hand, there are yet another set of people that are naturally generous – they are always uncomfortable when not given the opportunity to give.
… All these are Grace from God.
God inspired Solomon to give what nobody else had ever given so that He could use that as an excuse to give him what nobody else had ever received.
The truth of the matter is, God was behind all that happened in the life of Solomon.
May God have Mercy and give us the Grace too.
Are you tight fisted and find it difficult to give to your fellow men and the work of God?
The truth of the matter is that as long as you fail to give towards God’s work, you will not be able to receive what is due to you.
… It is the same measure that you give that will ne melted back to you!
The truth of the matter is that: “every daily effort you fail to make use of gradually erodes your position in life”.
…The choice is therefore yours…”So PAY THE PRICE!”
Be ye also patient; stablish your hearts: for the coming of the Lord draweth nigh. (James 5:8)
Patience is a Golden Virtue of life. Infact nothing works like it.
Unfortunately, only a few can practice it as it is very hard to sustain. The man in a hurry misses the way. Patience is better than wisdom – for wisdom without patience is like a garden full of weeds. An ounce of patience is worth a pound of brains. Impatience brings sorrow, grief, discomfort, misery, sadness and failures. With patience, careful planning, hard work and dedication. Success is sure to come your way sooner than you think and expects!
One golden area patience is key and cannot be avoided in life is in RELATIONSHIPS.
The book of Genesis 2: 22 states that: “And the rib, which the Lord God had taken from man, made he a woman and brought her unto the man”.
When God finished the product He was making for Adam. He brought her to him. Some believers are so much in a hurry to get their partners that they lose focus on God. Some would say, “If God does not answer me in a particular time, I will backslide”. Who losses? It is you of course. The truth of the matter is that it takes time to turn raw materials into a finished product. But if you desire to bring it out in a hurry, it will have to skip some stages of production process and turn out to be a defective product.
Not all ladies are from the Lord. Prov. 19:14 says: “House and riches are inheritance of fathers: and a prudent wife is from the Lord”. If you therefore want your partner from the Lord, then be prepared to wait on Him.
Impatience of some believers has made them rush out their Partners before God was through, yet today they are complaining about the individual. So friends, be PATIENT.
Another Golden thing to note in Gen 2:22 is that God led Eve to Adam. Who says a sister cannot identify her partner first?

So when next he/she gets on your nerves, and you felt so upset, downcast or you want to burst out; before you react; recall that they are “Extra Grace Required People” and you have to handle them with extra grace and care.
Never give the key to your happiness or Joy to anybody to use anyhow.
Their main intention is that they want to succeed in making you sad whenever they want to.
The one in a hurry may be disappointed.
However the one with a load of patience will laugh last. The Bible even said that the patient one will inherit the earth and eternal life.
