OPENING PRAYER
Our Heavenly Father we Thank You. Lord. Thank You for keeping us alive until now. Lord we Thank You for Your Goodness and Your Mercy endured forever!
Thank You for being Gracious and Merciful. Thank You Lord for forgiving our
transgressions. Lord we Thank You oh God for making us Your children. Lord Thank You for Your Blessings!
Thank You for Your Protection; Thank You for Your Provision; Thank You for Your Mercies; Thank You for Your Love; Thank You for Healings; Thank You for Testimonies; Thank You for Miracles.
Lord we are Grateful!
We say all Glory belong to Your Holy Name in the Name of Jesus.
Lord, we ask oh God, even as we hear Your Words tonight, we will not hear the enticing Words of man’s wisdom! But we ask oh Lord You speak to us. Lord speak to our hearts by Your Spirit; and Lord, let Your Name be Glorified!
Lord we ask, You alone will take all Praises and Honour; for in Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Let somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
First of all, I want to Thank God Almighty for this very privileged.
I want to Thank God for the life of our father in the Lord: Pastor E.A Adeboye, the General Overseer of this Great Commission and the President of Christ The Redeemer’s Ministries (CRM).
I also want to Thank the Lord for our mother in Israel: Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye, who is also the Vice President of Christ The Redeemers Ministries (CRM, Education).
Daddy and Mummy, we must say: we Love You! We appreciate what God is doing in our lives through you!
Thank for Encouragement, thank you for your support, thank you for always being there for us.
Our Prayers for you is that the Lord will increase your Strength day by day in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
You will never know a better yesterday in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
The Lord will continue lifting you higher and higher in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

Tonight, we are considering: “TASTE OF WATER”.
THE TOPIC IS: A TASTE OF WATER.
I like us to turn our Bibles to the Book of
JOB 14: 7-9.
- For there is hope of a tree, if it be cut down, that it will sprout again, and that the tender branch thereof will not cease.
- Though the root thereof wax old in the earth, and the stock thereof die in the ground;
- Yet through the scent of water it will bud, and bring forth boughs like a plant.
I Pray for someone here tonight; that the Lord will bring a juvination into your life, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
When we speak of WATER; Water means a lot of things for a lot of different People.
For instance, what Water means to a Professional Swimmer is very different from what it means to a Fisherman!
… Water means different things to different People!
But for those of us who are familiar with Basic Science, or who did a little Chemistry; you remember we were taught that: Water is called ‘Universal Solvent’.
In other words, Water is a medium for a lot of Chemical Reactions.
So many reactions depend on the Presence of Water!
And in fact, in the Scriptures we find Water right from the beginning; in the Book Genesis 1:2;
“And the Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.”
… Despite the formlessness and the chaos; we still see Water at the end of it!
In the Book of Revelation 22:1; the Bible says: “And he shewed me a pure river of water of life, clear as crystal, proceeding out of the throne of God and of the Lamb.”
You see Water again: it talks about Living Water!
We see Water right at the beginning of the Creation of the Universe. And right at the end, we find water again.
You see, when we consider “A TASTE OF WATER”: it is something we should pay attention to!
And again, in the Scripture we find God talking about Water, doing things with Water!
I know many of us will remember that in Cana of Galilee, Jesus Christ turned Water in to Wine.
Tonight, the Lord is speaking to us on that TASTE OF WATER; and that suggests to us that this particular use of water is SPECIFIC!
… It’s not just Water for Washing or water for Bathing or water for Cleaning.
But He’s teaching about water for drinking; water with the SPECIFIC USE!
… And this water is for DRINKING!
Now our father in the Lord; during the Holy Communion Service here yesterday was speaking to us on how important Water is!
He said, as a matter of fact, when Jesus was on the Cross He could have asked for a lot of other things. But He asked for WATER: He said, “I THIRST!”
THIRST here; so that we can consider water: It is really of ESSENCE!
So when we talk about A TASTE OF WATER: WHAT ARE WE TALKING ABOUT?
What does a TASTE OF WATER SIGNIFY?
A TASTE WATER OF WATER can signify a lot of different things; depending on the Context and what God intends to do at the time. That is right!
From our Text where we read in Job 14:7-9; we saw the Story of the Tree.
It is a very interesting Picture that is painted!
He talked about the tree; and what is very interesting is that it is not just any tree!
If it were a tree that had been in the Garden (a tree that was being taken care of). Maybe we would have reasons to expect the best for this tree.
But the Bible begins to tell us details about this tree: The Bible in verse 7 said this tree, even if it is cut down; it will still GROW again!
In verse 8, it talks about a root of an the tree which has waxed Old. It talks about the stock already at the Ground.
And so, from where we have read:
1. The first thing about a TASTE OF WATER signifies “RESTORATION OF HOPE”.
And remember (for those of us who were at the Holy Communion yesterday) our father in the Lord spoke about HELPLESSNESS.
He said Helplessness is a very dangerous thing; because the Bible says the spirit of a man will sustain this infirmity, but a Broken Spirit who can bear?
When we talk about A TASTE OF WATER, it is RESTORATION!
It does not matter what Specific Context the tree is: it waxed old, it is even cut down, it has already died in the ground. YET, the introduction of WATER changed the Equation!
And this is something that happens in the field of Chemistry; a lot of reaction will proceed! Otherwise, if Water is not introduced;
So that the Presence of Water completely reverses Hope – Helplessness.
… So the TASTE OF WATER symbolises RESTORATION of Hope loss!
2. And also the second thing that the TASTE OF WATER represents is “THE EMPOWERMENT FOR FRUITFULNESS”.
This tree that was cut down; that was dead (completely gone!).
The introduction of Water changed everything!
The same tree began to grow; when the Bible said it will grow!
And I will like to remind you at this point; that THIRST for water is a sign that we are ALIVE! First, it’s a sign that we are Healthy.
God in His Wisdom decided to create in us this desire that can satisfy us (when we yield for water) – It is a proof that we indeed, are alive!
So when this tree experienced water; when the same water is introduced, even dead tree is FRUITFULNESS AND ESTABLISHED.
I am trusting God for as many of us that are expecting from the Lord tonight, that the Lord will grant us Supernatural Fruitfulness, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
… What else does the TASTE OF WATER SIGNIFY?
3. The TASTE OF WATER signify DIVINE PRESERVATION.
HOW DO I KNOW?
Because of the Book of Genesis 21:18-19; says
18 Arise, lift up the lad, and hold him in thine hand; for I will make him a great nation.
19 And God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water; and she went, and filled the bottle with water, and gave the lad drink.
It tells the story of Hagar, Sarah’s handmaiden.
It talked about when she was sent out from Abraham’s house,with the recommendation of Sarah his wife.
… And the Lord asked Abraham to permit it!
It talks about her in the wilderness; they ran short of the water supply and her soul was dying. And you see, she could not hold forth, because she was already giving up!
So she decided to go away saying to herself; “Let’s me no see the dead of the child”.
But you see, when the Lord heard the voice of the child, the Bible says: “God OPENED her eyes and she SAW a Well of WATER; and she gave the child water to drink.
So God PRESERVED what was considered Lost.
HOW? – With the introduction of WATER.
And I am trusting the Lord for us tonight, that every similar thing will be Divinely Preserved, in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!
What else does A TASTE OF WATER Signify?
Again we see the Almighty God doing tremendous thing with water.
When he talks about Water for Drinking there are very strategic things He has done as we journey through Scriptures with Water.
4. A TASTE OF WATER also symbolizing: “THE STARTING POINT OF UNUSUAL OPPORTUNITY”
We can see this in the Book of 1 Kings 17: 8-16; when we read this Passage we see the story of Elijah and the Widow of Zarephath.
As a matter of fact, Elijah could have asked for a lot of things Infact God said to him: “I have commanded the widow to feed you”.
When he arrived, he asked for a drink of Water FIRST.
… So this was a Platform!
Things changed, just because Water came into the equation.
And I am trusting the Lord for all of us tonight that the Lord will change situations through this TASTE OF WATER – Amen!
This woman was in a critical situation: She was all by herself, she was considered not to be with any husband (for she was a widow).
But the Lord, when He stepped in and asked for a DRINK; we see that it was marking a beginning of a Turning Point!
Tonight will mark the beginning of a Turning Point in our lives, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
The Lord will Turn Around all our stories, even as we experience this “TASTE OF WATER”, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
… We will receive tonight, in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.
So you see, it was the beginning of Unusual Opportunities!
Elijah had a drink of Water and it marked the beginning of something Remarkable.
Also in the Book of John 4 :7-26; we see Jesus asking for a drink of water from the Samaritan woman (we all know the story of this woman).
So for this Samaritan woman; the Presence of Water changed everything for her!
And I know that what we have been asking ourselves is: if this TASTE OF WATER is going to be very good, do I need to have this Taste of Water?
HOW DO WE EXPERIENCE THE TASTE OF WATER?
In other words, HOW DO WE BRING AN END TO THIRST?
Because you see, in as much as thirst is proof of you living (of being alive); thirst needs to be satisfied!
If someone stays Thirsty, that is unsatisfied; you and I both know the consequences are very disastrous – The body will give up.
SO HOW DO WE SATISFY THIS THIRST?
Because it is not just the thirst in the body; there is the yelling of the soul as well.
HOW DO WE BRING AN END TO THE THIRST. HOW DO WE EXPERIENCE THIS TASTE OF WATER?
In the Book of John 4:14 it says: “But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life.”
So we see here that the Lord Jesus Himself, introduced Himself as “The Giver of this Water”.
The Lord Jesus introduced Himself as the One with the Sole right to give the Living Water.
So if we would indeed have to thirst it would be wise to take the recommendation of the Lord Jesus Himself.
He says: “If you drink of this Water that I give, then you will never thirst again and this water will become in you a well of water spring up in to everlasting life.”
Now it is interesting that the Lord Jesus Christ does not just say to us that: ‘If you drink this water, you will never thirst’.
He could have stopped there! But He did not!
He did not stop there; He said: “This Water I will give you will become in you a well of water springing up into everlasting life!
In other words, we become carriers of Abundance of this Living Water!
So God’s Plan for us is not just to satisfied our Thirst; His Plan was that we should have Abundance of this Living Water.
I will like us to turn our Bibles to the Book of John 7: 37-39;
37 In the last day, that great day of the feast, Jesus stood and cried, saying, If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink.
38 He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.
39 say but this take the key of the spirit which they that believe in him should receive for the Holy Ghost was not yet given because of Jesus was not yet glorified.
So we see something unusual; God’s interest is not just that we have our thirst quench. It’s not even that we have this taste of Living Water spring in us;
But His interest is that: “Out of our belly will flow Rivers of Living Water”.
God desires for me and you that we will not be Drinkers of this Water; but we will become DISPENSERS of this Water.
So that the experience that we have, will be TRANSFERRED to other People!
The world around us is thirsty. The world is in need of the Life of God. And brethren, we carry this Life of God.
HOW? – Because we have gotten the Holy Spirit of God living inside of us if we have accepted Jesus to be Lord and Saviour of our life.
… So we see that God’s interest is that we bring others into this experience!
And in the Redeemed Christian Fellowship (RCF); our motto is “AGGRESSIVE EVANGELISM”.
What is the interest of God is that we are Rivers of Living Water!
So in the Campus, People must experience Jesus: People must know, People have to experience this TASTE of WATER.
We are not just to become Receivers; we are supposed to be STREAMS. We are supposed to become Dimensions – flowing through us!
And so the Change to us is that we must be AGGRESSIVE in Soul Winning!
As we experience this Living Water for the Lord, we must not take only for ourselves; we must be Aggressive; we must take this Change of the Lord seriously.
This Investment of the Lord in our lives is not for fun faring. He did not save us to Decorate His House – He saved us so that many more will be SAVED through us.
And I trust the Lord that tonight, the Lord will raise People who are Aggressive Evangelists – People who are Vicious Souls Winner, in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!
As we begin to round up; it is good for us to remember that in the Book of Revelation 22:17 it says:
“And the Spirit and the bride say, Come. And let him that heareth say, Come. And let him that is athirst come. And whosoever will, let him take the water of life freely.”
And like our father in the Lord will always say:
“Anytime we see WHOSOEVER in the Bible; it means Who So Ever! it means ANYBODY.”
We must believe that in the Scripture.
So when we read in John 7: 37-39; we see that this WATER was a type of the Holy Spirit of God.
So as Believers in Christ Jesus, we have to realised that as we DISPENSE it does not matter the People’s background!
… WHOSOEVER will take this Water of Life free!
Do you know when the Bible said in the Book of Isaiah 55:1; “Lo, every one that thirsteth, come ye to the waters, and he that hath no money; come ye, buy, and eat; yea, come, buy wine and milk without money and without price.”
So when our father in the Lord will be administering the Altar Call this evening; it is not the time first, to Think about it or the time for Meditation. But the time for us to get serious with this and experience the meaning of the Living Water.
And I trust the Lord that this will be the experience of so many People here tonight, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
I will like us to be on our feet even as we Pray.
The Lord has the Power to express to us through his Words that this TASTE OF WATER is a reality.
But for us to TASTE this Water, we must first THIRST.
For us to experience this reality we most first THIRST – we must first hunger!
No wonder the Bible says: They that hunger and thirst after righteousness.
WHY? – Because they shall be FILLED!
Can we lift up our voices unto the Almighty God tonight and say to Him FATHER: I am Willing, please release this Water of Yours to me.
Can we open our mouth and ask the Lord, and say Lord we are Willing.
The Bible says: “If we are Willing and Obedient we will eat the Good of the Land”.
We are Willing, we are available, we are ready oh God! We are ready oh God: release Living Water to us. Lord we received this Water, we receive this Everlasting Water, this Water that springs us to Eternal Life.
Lord we say YES to YOU: we accept this offer of Living Water, in Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
In the Book of Zechariah 10:1; the Bible says: “Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.”
It is the time of the Latter Rain; yet the Bible says to us: “The Lord will bring cloud and give to us showers”.
The prerequisite is to us!
No wonder that the Bible says in the Book of James that: “You have not because you ask not”.
You see, in our Campuses there is the need for Rain of Revival.
The Lord needs to bring down His Presence. The Lord needs to Rain down Revival!
As we ask the Lord God to Shower His Rain this time; Lord send us Rain, Lord send Rain to the Campuses.
Lord send Rain all over Nigeria; send Rain in Your Church; send Rain of Revival.
Lord we know that this is the time of the Latter Rain, Lord send us Rain in the Mighty Name Of Jesus!
Lord we receive this Rain; we ask that You release it, in the Name of Jesus.
… In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
In the Book of Proverbs 22:22 it says; “You see when the Lord brings laughter to you, the Bible compares it to Cold Water.”
It could have been compared to good Food; but it is compared to WATER.
Let us ask the Lord, as we say: Oh Lord, even in this Eleventh (11th) Month, Grant me GOOD NEWS.
That the Miracle that we have been expecting Lord, to our Thirsty Souls let us experience this Good News!
Lord what we have been expecting of You, release them to us! Remember us for good, Oh Lord, in the Name of Jesus!
Lord release this Good News, release the Showers of Abundance of Rain! Lord refresh us; remember us for Good!
Thank You Father! In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
I would like us to to Pray once again; for our father and mother in the Lord – You see, that they have consistently been Channel of Blessings for us.
Time and again we have experienced Living Water just because of them. Because they have allowed God to make them instruments!
Lets us ask that, like never before the Lord will increase them like never before. The lord will multiply their Anointing like never before; the Lord will grant them Unusual and Uncommon Breakthrough!
The Lord will give them the desires of their hearts, even as they labour in His Vineyard. That it will be indeed evident that the Lord is with them.
In the Mighty Name of Jesus we have Prayed – Amen!
Finally, before we go – The Bible says in the Book of Habakkuk 2:14 ; “For the earth shall be filled with the knowledge of the Glory of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
And Isaiah 11:9 says: “They shall not hurt nor destroy in all my Holy mountain: for the Earth shall be full of the knowledge of the LORD, as the waters cover the sea.”
… So there will be an OVERFLOW!
Remember, we are considering “SWIMMING IN THE GLORY”.
Let us open our mouth and say Father; in this Eleventh (11th) Month, grant us an Overflow Growing Church:
An OVERFLOW – all over the Nations of the world let the Knowledge of the Glory of the Lord cover us. So that we will not only TASTE but we will become CHANNEL OF RIVERS, we will become Effective in this work that You have called us into; that more People will follow You and the Name of the Lord will be Praised!
Thank You Father! In the Mighty Name of Jesus we have Prayed – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER
Heavenly Father we Thank You. THANK YOU Lord for this Water; Thank You for the Living Water!
Thank You for many who will experience the Living Water tonight. Thank You for the Showers of Abundance of Rain. Thank You Lord for Signs of Refreshing from the Presence of the Lord.
Thank You Lord for Great and Mighty works that they will do! Thank You Lord for our Campuses; the Students of the Redeemed Campus Fellowship.
Lord we Thank You because we know that it is well with us. Thank You for always Reviving us in the Name of Jesus.
Thank You Lord for the Redeem Campus Fellowship. God we Thank You because we know that these ones will believe in You, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Lord as we continue please, continue with us! Let Your Glory fill this Place. And let Jesus ALONE be Glorified.
In Jesus Might Name we have PRAYED – AMEN!!!
