THE EPIPHANY SUNDAY
The word “Epiphany” is also referred to as Theophany, Denha, Little Christmas or Three King’s Day.
It is a Christian Feast Day that celebrates the revelation of God’s incarnate as Jesus Christ.
It comes from the Greek’s word for manifestation or appearance.
For many Christians, “Epiphany” refers to the manifestation of the “Divine Nature” of Jesus Christ and it is marked by a Feast.
In many Western Christian Churches, the eve of the Feast is celebrated as a “Twelfth Night”.
It is marked twelve (12) days after Christmas on the 6th of January for those Christian sect that marks Christmas on the 25th of December (or 19th of January for some Orthodox Churches who have their own Christmas on the 7th of January).
.. And it is a time when Christians remembers the “Wise Men” (sometimes called the Three Kings) who visited baby Jesus Christ and gave him Gifts.
