OPENING PRAYER

Father, we worship You.

The Ancient of Days, we bow before You. You the Unchangeable Lord we give You all the Glory.

We Thank You for Your Mercy over Your children; Thank You for Protection from the evil scourge.

We Thank You Lord God Almighty that You remained the same Forever.

Please, accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

Once again, we are asking that You will empower Your Words today – That as it goes forth; it will bring Healings and Deliverance to Your People in Jesus Name.

Merciful God, we ask for Mercy on everyone of us and even for the world as a whole – We ask that You will Please tamper Justice with Mercy and put an end to all the sufferings of Your People.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

We want to continue our Study on: The Wonders of God – The God whose Name is “WONDERFUL”.

And today; we want to consider: “THE WONDERS OF HIS WORD”.

And our Bible Text will be: Hebrews 4:12.

For the Word of God is quick, and Powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

One of the Wonders of God – Almost frightening in His Nature is a Passage in the Bible: Psalms 138:2.

It says: God has Magnified His Words above all His Names.

That is: If you are talking about the Names of God; then you are talking of Him being: The Most High, the Almighty, being The Consuming Fire.

Whatever Names you want to call God; He says: He Magnified His Words above all His Names.

Mark 13:31 tells us that: The Word of God will Outlive the Heaven and the Earth.

… Marvelously Great is the Word of God!

It says that even when there is no longer Heaven, when there is no longer the Earth; the Word of God will still be there!

Psalms 119:89 says: Forever Oh Lord, thy Word is Settled.

Psalms 33: 8-9 says: Once the Word of God has gone out; it is already Settled.

… He spake and it is done!

As a matter of fact; Isaiah 55:10-11 made it clear: When God sends His Words on an errand; it will not return to Him until it has finished the job – It will not return to Him Void.

And I think that this explains why of all the Titles that Jesus Christ could have chosen –

I. I mean that He could have called Himself: The Rock because the Bible calls Him so.

Because when the children of Israel were on their Journey to the Promised Land; there was a Rock that followed them and that Rock was Christ.

II. He could have called Himself: The Lion of the Tribe of Judah because the Bible calls Him so.

But in John 1:1; He said: In the Beginning is the Word.

If you go on to Verse 14 (John 1:14); it will tell you that: That Word was the One that became flesh and dwelleth among us.

… The Word of God is Powerful, it is Wonderful

As a matter of fact, in the Bible Passage that we read to us; it says that: It is Active, it is Powerful, it is Sharper than any two (2) edged swords, Piercing even to the dividing assunder of Soul and Spirit and of the Joints and Marrow and it is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.

… The Word of God is Wonderful!

Now, within the Short Period that we have; we will try and talk about some of the Wonders of The Word.

1. The Word Travels!

Now, I’m here, I’m speaking and the Word is reaching out to the whole world.

In 1 Kings 17:2; the Bible says: The Word of the Lord came to Elijah saying…

The Word travelled from Heaven, came unto Elijah here on Earth.

And when it is travelling and it comes to you; no matter how hard you try, you can’t shut it down.

John 17:17 says: The Word of God is the Truth.

And you can’t shut out the Truth.

It doesn’t matter how hard you try; the Word of God cannot be shut out.

Why? – Because according to 2 Corinthians 13:8; the Bible says: You can do nothing against the Truth but for the Truth.

So, if God decides to send His Words to you and you say: I refused to hear; you are just wasting your time.

As a matter of fact – One Man of God explained that: If the Almighty God sends His Words to you and you say you are not going to receive it; they will stay put with you until you received it because it will not return back to God Void – Until it has done the job that it was sent to do; it is not going to leave you.

And it will be of interest to you that: Even in this Pandemic; when you are asked to wear a Mask – The Mask covers every Place except your ears.

The ears are kept open.

Why? – Because God has written in His Words in Romans 10:17 that: Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.

… So, even in this serious situation; your ears are kept open so that the Words of God can Penetrate.

Now, the beauty of it is that: When the Word of God arrives, it does some Special Things.

I. Psalms 107:20 says: He sent His Words and it Heals them and Deliver them from all their destructions.

… Nothing heals better than the Word of God!

II. The Bible Text that we read tells you that: It is Sharper than the Surgeon’s knife.

It tells us that: There are some operations that the Surgeon cannot Perform but the Word of God will Perform it.

That is why I’m believing God for those of you who are going through any form of ailments that the doctors have said that there is nothing more that we can do; even as the Word is coming to you today or you are reading it on the Label of DMC; receive your Healings now in Jesus Name – Amen.

… When it comes: It can Heal; when it comes, it can Deliver!

III. There is no drug that has been found yet that can chase out demons out of a Person.

If somebody is acting crazy and you take him to the hospital; they will give him something that will calm him down – Not cure. Just something that will sober him down.

And they will say that from now on; you can continue to “Manage” – Provided you don’t stop taking your drugs.

But when the Word of God comes – Just one (1) Word; and Freedom will come!

That is why I’m sending the Word of God to you today or as you read now on the Label of DMC that:

2. The Second (2nd) Thing that the Word of God does is that: It Encourages.

… The Word of God encourages.

Right now, some People are wondering: Where is God in all of these?

Well, Isaiah 66:1 tells us that: He is seated on His Throne and the Earth is His Footstool.

Meaning what? – He is In Charge!

… That is very encouraging.

There is nothing that is happening that is taking Him by surprise – He is In Charge!

And you know what?

If you are a “True Child of God”; if you read Isaiah 41: 10-13 He says: Don’t be afraid; I will help you.

That is what He said – It is the Word of God that is Forever Settled.

In Mark 11: 22-23; He said: If you will just have Faith in Me, you will move any Mountain.

His Words encourages because according to Psalms 90: 1-2; He says: Even before the Mountains were brought forth; He is God!

In order words: It does not matter how big the Problem you are facing now; before that Problems started, there was God!

He knows the Foundation of every Mountains and that is why He can uproot any Mountain from the very root.

What an encouragement that we have in Hebrews 12: 1-2.

It is saying to those of you: Who are already His children; who at one time or the other might be a bit worried – Will I Make it? Will I finished Well? Will I finished Strong?

He said: Don’t worry; there is a Cloud of Witnesses!

There are People like you who has run this race and have won. And they are there Cheering you up saying: We made it; you will make it too – Amen.

… Very encouraging!

And you know that it is written long before you are born in Isaiah 3:10 – Say ye to the Righteous, it shall be Well with them.

So, even if you don’t know what will happen? How is all these things going to end?

Hey, if you are a “True Child of God”; it is going to end Well – Amen.

The Word of God that is Forever Settled says: Say ye to the Righteous, your tomorrow will be alright.

And the beauty of it is this: When we talk about the Word of God – It can come to you as an Individual.

You know thousands of People can be in a Congregation and then the Sermon could be going on. And that Particular Section of the Sermon will go for the attention of one Particular Person.

The Others will not hear what you are hearing but what you are hearing will meet your own Particular Need.

You Probably has heard the story of one of my Uncle – A very, very funny fellow who found himself in “Turbulent Times”.

He used to be very wealthy and then he became very Poor – So Poor that he has to be taking some of the wrappers of the wife’s clothes to make “buba and soro” (A kind of Top Wear and Trouser Style normally sown by the Males among the Yoruba Cultured People in Nigeria).

So, he decided that he will commit suicide – That this suffering is too much.

… And I hope somebody is listening to me today or reading carefully this on the Label of DMC.

But being a very funny fellow; he decided that: He will go to Church on Sunday, he will dance so much that everybody will noticed him; then he will go back home and commit suicide.

… He said that he will attend his own Funeral Service!

Then he went to Church and the Preacher was Preaching on Daniel Chapter 3 – About Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

… This is a Sermon everybody has heard several times.

And then the Preacher said one word: When Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego said: The God who we serve will deliver us. They had no Idea of how God could do it.

… They had No Idea! – Ha, and he got that one!

He said: That is true o – I’m so deep in debt, situations are so bad with me and I have no Idea of how I can ever survive this but Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego didn’t know too how but God did it.

He said: I REFUSE TO DIE!

The day he was sharing his Testimony: He had just bought fourteen (14) cars for his workers at his Place of work because the Tides turned.

… He heard a Word!

That Word that you need that will turn the Tides for you; may you hear (or read it) today in Jesus Name – Amen!

3. The Word of God Comforts.

The Word of God comforts you like no Human Being can.

You know that it is written in Psalms 30:5 – Weeping may endure for a night, Joy comes in the morning.

If you sit down and Study that Passage very well; it is saying that: As long as day will follow the night; your Joy will come!

It means that it doesn’t matter how sad you are now; your day of rejoicing is on the Way – Amen.

In Joel 2:25; the Word of God says: I will restore to you all the Years that the cankerworms has eaten.

… Remember that His Word is Forever Settled.

He is saying that: It doesn’t matter how many things you have lost; He said: I will restore.

In the same Joel 2: 26-27; He repeated again and again: My People shall not be ashamed – Amen.

… Isn’t that Comforting?

And then in Hebrews 13:5; He made a Promise: I will never leave you; I will never forsake you!

Oh, that Passage has been so useful for me as a Person because there has been moments when you feel that you are alone; when the People you have done your best to help turned against you and tells lies of all kinds – Knowing fully well that you are not likely going to speak.

And you feel: Oh God; what is going on?

And He will tell you: It doesn’t matter if the whole world leave you; as long as I don’t I leave you.

… I will never leave you!

I told you a Story before – Several years ago, we held a Meeting. What we call a “Mini Ministers’ Conference” ((For those of us who are Pastors in the Church).

We are many then – All of us who are Pastors will fit into one (1) small room.

And then I was falsely accused before my father in the Lord.

And the Person who falsely accused me was the one who brought me to Christ.

And I wanted to say: This is not true – But for one reason or the other, my father in the Lord was not willing to listen to me before Passing Judgement.

I was so disappointed that on my way from Ebute Metta (The Location of the Headquarters Parish of RCCG) back to University of Lagos (Unilag) where I used to work as a Lecturer – I got to St Agnes (Somewhere around Yaba, a City in Lagos State). At that time then, there was a Traffic Light there to stop you.

While I was there in the Traffic; my mind said to me: Well if this is what Christianity is all about; if those who brought you to Christ can turn against you like this; if the People you trusted most can treat you like this – Well, if you can’t go forward, what about going to where you came from?

At that Stage; God spoke to me.

… He will speak to you today – Amen.

He just said: Son, what is the Problem?

Ha, I said: Lord You know all things. You know all that had just happened – You saw it all!

He said: Yes, I saw it all.

… Have I ever disappointed you?

I said: No Sir!

He said: I will never leave you, I will never forsake you.

May I Pray for someone here today or reading on the Label of DMC: That for the rest of your life; whatever you may come across – The Almighty God will never leave you and He will never forsake you – Amen.

4. The Word of God Empowers you for the “Battle of Life”.

Because Ephesians 6:17 calls the Word of God the “Sword of the Spirit”.

And the Bible Text that we read today says: It is Sharper than any Two (2) edged swords.

There is no sword in the hands of your enemies that is Sharper than the Word of God!

That is why you will discovered that when Jesus Christ was facing the devil in Matthew 4:1; He kept on saying: It is written.

… That is the strongest Weapon you can use against the enemies.

And you know what?

The Word of God made it clear in Isaiah 54: 15-17 – It assures you that the weapons of your enemies had been neutralized.

No weapon fashioned against you shall Prosper.

… That is the Word of God.

And the Word of God tells us in Romans 8:37 – It says that: You are More Than a Conqueror.

Do you now the meaning of that?

You have won even before the Fight began.

… How wonderful the Word of God can be?

It comes up at the times of trouble to fight for you.

That is why it is so Good that every child of God should memorise as many of these Words as Possible because when the days of battles comes; it is what you have already learnt that will come forward to fight the battle for you.

For example; I think this must be in 1981 or 1982 – I was just the General Oversee for about a year.

I was visiting all our little, little Churches – At the time, we had about thirty nine (39) Branches apart from the Headquarters.

And of course – Everywhere I went; I was well received – I was what you will call Popular.

Then I was going to visit the little Church that was in my hometown.

And as we were driving and I have heard about all the Preparations they had made – The School children are going to Line Up on the routes of the Village; the Village Hunters are not going to the farm – They are going to give me Gun Salute.

Suddenly, the devil began to speak and said: Now that you are very Popular – If you die today, you will have a very Glorious Funeral.

And the Word of God came from deep within: I will not die; I will live to declare the Glory of God.

Do you know that five (5) minutes later; I discovered that my drive was fast asleep at the Steering and he was heading straight toward the Gully.

And thank God that I have already learnt from experience that when you discovered something like that; you don’t shout.

Because if you say: Hey, you are sleeping! – He will now even go straight.

So, I woke him up very gently by saying: E Ku ise (Well done sir).

And quickly, he woke up.

… We were at the edge of the Gully.

You know: When you have a driver; you better make sure that anytime you want to travel, you Pray!

… It is not my Present driver – So, you don’t go and tell him that we heard that you nearly killed our daddy.

The Word of God came because it is in there to fight the devil!

Let me Conclude with this: The Word of God – All it’s Promises and you can go through the Scriptures and if you like; write down all the Promises of God – The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 1:20 that all His Promises are Yea and Amen.

Do you know what that means?

When God makes a Promise, it is already Settled.

AMEN means: “SO LET IT BE!

In Numbers 23:19; the Bible says that: God is not a man that He should lie. If He says anything; you can be sure that He will do it.

But there is something required of you – And what is that thing?

Well; Hebrews 4:2 says: Several People will hear the Word of God but it won’t Profit them because they do not mix Faith with it.

Meaning what?

I have always told those who will listen to me: If you don’t believed that the Bible is the Word of God; then don’t waste your time being a Christian.

If you are not going to believed every Words in the Bible; then you may as well forget about your Salvation because it is through these Words that you will know that you are saved.

When the Word of God comes; remember that I have said that there could be thousands in a Gathering; the Word will come to someone directly.

… It is the one who received the Word in Faith that will Profit thereby.

Let me remind you of a Story that I’m sure some of you has heard several times but since we are speaking to the whole world now; some of you may never have heard it.

It was December 31st – We had what we call: “Cross Over Night Service” and the Word of God came that: There is somebody in the Congregation who was having difficulty Paying his house rent and that in the New Year he will become a Landlord.

And that was in Lagos – You know that it will take a Miracle to become a Landlord in Lagos.

If the Prophesy had said: Before you die; you will become a Landlord in Lagos – Probably many People could have said Amen.

Only one boy had enough Faith to say Amen – And he was a Messenger.

He said Amen and I’m sure all Others must have looked at him as if something was wrong with him.

But then the New Year came and he went to work and went to salute the Chairman of the Company.

He Prostrated as we do in our Custom (Yoruba People – A Tribe in Nigeria) saying: Happy New Year sir.

And the Chairman looked at him and said: Messenger – The boy said: Sir.

He said: Have I given you a Christmas Present? – The boy said: No Sir.

What about New Year Present? – The boy said: No Sir.

And the Chairman said: Lagos State Government built some houses that they were selling by bids. I bid for one and I won. I don’t need it – Come and collect the keys.

The boy collected the keys; went to the address – He thought he was dreaming. He was thinking maybe it will be just one small room somewhere. He got there, he found a Mansion.

Put the keys inside, the door opened, went upstairs, look round – Could this be true?

May I decree to somebody today: That kind of Miracle that for a long time you will think that you are dreaming; may the Almighty God send it to you now – Amen.

He returned to the Place of work the following day; went to thank the Chairman – Roll to the Right, roll to the Left.

And the Chairman asked him: Hey Messenger, is there any furniture in the house? – And the boy said: No Sir.

The Chairman said: I change my furniture every Christmas – The one that I used last Year I don’t even know where to put it yet.

So, the Chairman called one of the Truck drivers: Go and load my furniture of last Year and take it to this boy’s house.

… December 31st; he was having a Problem Paying his rent. The Word of God came that in the New Year; he will be a Landlord.

He wasn’t just a Landlord; he was sitting on the chairs the Chairman was sitting on just last Month!

I decree to somebody today that: That Miracle that will shake you, that will cause you to know that there is a God in Heaven who speaks and it is done – May God give you that Miracle – Amen.

ALTAR CALL

But you know that Miracles are only for the children of God.

He said in His Words: I cannot give the bread of the children to dogs.

Meaning what?

Anyone who is not a “True Child of the Living God”; who is expecting a Miracle from God; will wait for a long time because His Words is Forever Settled.

So, if you have not yet surrendered your Life to Him and you want to become one of His children; may I appeal to you in your own interest that you do so now.

Even as you bow your head wherever you are now or reading on the Label of DMC.

You can call on Him by saying: Lord, Please save my Soul, make me one of Your children and I will serve You for the rest of my Life.

Will you Please Pray that Prayer now for a minute.

And may I appeal to the rest of us: That we will join in Faith with all these People and Pray that the One who save your own Soul will save their own also.

Let us intercede for them even as they call upon the Name of the Lord.

Because it is written: If you call upon the Name of the Lord; you shall be saved.

Let us Pray that God will save their Souls and they will become children of the Living God.

Thank You my Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God; I want to Thank You for Your Words – I Thank You because Your Words Travels. And it has travelled all over the world now.

And I Thank You for the People who has heard these Words, who has decided that they will surrender their lives to You so that they can become Part of Your Family.

Please Lord: Receive them, all, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins, write their names into the Book of Life, receive them into the Family of God.

And Lord God Almighty; from now on: Anytime they call upon You; grant their request.

Please Lord, all Your children who has been doubting Your Words before; the Grace never to doubt You again so that Your Words will begin to Profit them give them today in Jesus Name.

When thy call on You today because You Promised that if we call on You; You will answer us – When they call on You today; Please answer them in Jesus Name.

Thank You Almighty God.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
