NUGGETS FROM REVEREND SAM ADEYEMI’S TEACHING: DIRECTION AND REST – PART 2

Alright, let’s continue the discussed we started last week.

God gave us a word for this Year – It is the word “REST”.

And we get that rest when we find alignment with His Plans and Purposes for our lives.

So, let’s continue we are discussing direction and rest part 2.

So, we are going to read Psalms 23:1-6:

1. The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
2. He makes me to lie down in Green Pasture, He leads me beside the Still water.
3. He restores my Soul; He leads me in the Paths of righteousness for His Names sake.
4. Yea, though I walk in the Valley of the Shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
5. You Prepare a table before me in the Presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over.
6. Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Alright, Direction and Rest – This is a time of uncertainty and great anxiety in our world right now.

But we remind ourselves that God gave us a word for the year and is the word “REST”.

So, remember what David said that: He leads me besides Still waters.

God does not lead in confusion, He does not lead into confusion – He lead us in the Place of Peace.

Before God will transform your circumstances, the first things He does is to transform your emotions.

Isaiah the Prophet was Prophesying about the Messiah, he was talking about how the Messiah was anointed that the Spirit of the Lord God was upon me, He has anointed me to heal the broken hearted.

But in Isaiah 61:3, it says; “To console those who mourn in Zion. To give them beauty for ashes, the Oil of Joy for mourning, the garment of Praise for the Spirit of Heaviness, that they may be called Trees of Righteousness the Planting of the Lord, that He may be Glorified”.

God wants to lead us in Peace and I Prophesy in the Name of Jesus for anyone that is afraid, anyone that is anxious, anyone that is worried at this Point; every Spirit of torment in your Mind is removed in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen. Receive the Peace of God – Amen.

So, the Lord has got to be our Shepherd.

We are navigating a situation that we have never navigated before.

There is one Person that knows the Pathway – He knows the Pathway through everything, He is our Shepherd.

So, we think that the Greatest Priority right now is hearing from God.

And we said last week (Part 1) that hearing from God will be helpful and it becomes easy when we are intimate with God – We have got to chase, we have got to Pursue intimacy with God.

I think that there are still Seasons of uncertainty ahead.

I think so and the Greatest Source of certainty for us, God’s People, will be “GOD SAID”.

In Isaiah 40:8, the Prophet Prophesy it that the grass withers, the flower fades, but the Word of our God stands forever.

Right in the middle of storm if you can hear God speaking to you and you act on what God says, that is where our Confidence and Faith is! that is where the certainty is.

Jesus says: Anyone that hears this saying of mine and does it, is like a Wise Man that wanted to build his house dug into the ground find a rock and build his house on it.

Revelation from God is the rock that we stand on, the rock we build on.

Let’s pick this example from Luke 2:25-31 from New international Version.

25.At that time there was a man in Jerusalem named Simeon. He was righteous and devout and was eagerly waiting for the Messiah to come and rescue Israel. The Holy Spirit was upon him.

26. And had revealed to him that he would not die until he had seen the Lord’s Messiah.
27. That day the Spirit led him to the Temple. So when Mary and Joseph came to Present the baby Jesus to the Lord as the Law required,
28. Simeon was there. He took the child in his arms and Praised God, saying,
29. Sovereign Lord, now let your Servant die in Peace, as you have Promised.
30. I have seen your Salvation.
31. Which you have Prepared for all People.

Isn’t that amazing?

First, the Holy Spirit revealed to him that he would not die until he has set his eye on the Messiah.

What more certainty could a Human Being have there?

God tied his exit from this Planet to a particular event and until that event happens; he was not going anywhere.

I don’t care about the Pandemic or Plague that could happened in the world, I don’t care what Global Recession would happen in the world.

His (Simeon) own Faith was sealed by God – It was revealed to him.

So, I Prophesy in the Name of Jesus Christ; nothing would take you out of this Planet until your Purpose is fulfilled – Amen.

But it is all built on Revelation.

It was revealed to him by the Holy Spirit that he would not die until he had seen the Messiah.

So, any situation or circumstances that came to Simeon, however terrible they may be until he had seen the Messiah, Simeon knew that they were temporary he would outlived them.

I Prophesy again in the Name of Jesus; this Season your eyes are opened – Amen, this Season your ear are opened – Amen.

So, the Bible says: Simeon was led by the Holy Spirit to the Temple.

It is one thing for the Prophesy to have gone forth, it is another thing for you to come to the “Season of Fulfilment” and for you to know what you are supposed to do and where you are supposed to go.

So, every steps you would see that this man was taking was very sensitive to the Spirit of God and that he obeyed God.

That is why he didn’t missed Jesus.

The Parent took Him to the Temple for Dedication as directed by the Law of Moses and at that instant the Spirit of God was also moving Simeon and he was right there when Jesus was there and he Prophesy on Jesus.

And then he made that Great Statement that: Now your Servant can die in Peace as my eyes has seen Your Salvation.

I Prophesy again in the Name of Jesus; the Holy Spirit that revealed Simeon’s Future and Destiny to him will revealed yours to you – Amen. He will revealed mine to me in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.

So, when the Holy Spirit leads you like that; even in the midst of chaos, you will be living a “Unique Life”, marvelous things will be happening in your life, beautiful things will be happening in your life – The Proof that God is with you will show up – Amen.

So, remember David said in the book of Psalms that: Though I walk in the Valley of the shadow of death; he says I will fear no evil.

In the Name of Jesus we are free from fear – Hallelujah.

David made it a Point of duty to always ask God for Direction.

Jeremiah said in Jeremiah 10:23 that: I know, Lord that our lives are not our own. We are not able to Palm our own course.(New Living Translation).

Asking for Direction is a Sign of Humility.

Proverbs 3:5-6 from “The New Living Translation” says:

5. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, do not depend on your own understanding.
6. Seek His Will in all you do and He will show you which Path to take.

So, when I read about David in the bible; there is a Particular Phrase that thrills me

“And David inquire of the Lord” – Epecially when you read it from the king James Version.

Let’s take for example: 1 Samuel 23:1-13.

Here, David asked of the Lord what he should do when at keilah as soon as he heard that Saul would be coming.

In fact, he make use of Ephod.

So, after the resurrection of Jesus, the Apostles still used “lots” to pick somebody to replace Judas.

And Peter said they should cast “lot” and that “lot” fell on someone and so, they added him to replace Judas.

But from the day of Pentecost; we have never needed to use “lot” anymore because the Holy Spirit that express God through the Urim and Turim of the Lord is now inside us – Hallelujah.

Romans 8:14 says: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are the sons of God (New Living Translation).

In John 2:1-10, Jesus knew how to wait on the Father to get a Divine Direction, to get a Miracle as instructed.

Thank you Jesus!

I Prophesy in the Name of Jesus Christ: Whatever may be out of Place in your life, there is a Terminal End for that and it is today – Amen.

*I Prophesy once again: Your eyes are opened – Amen! your Spiritual ears are opened – Amen; you will hear God clearly this Season better than ever before in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

So, I remembered many years ago when I was Praying and I have explained before just after I gave my life to Jesus, as a student – I will kneeled down and Prayed and it would be like somebody Pressed an imagination on my brain and I would begin to see a Scenario.

And that was when I see myself standing before People to Preach and to teach.

It doesn’t happened to me before, it was after I received forgiveness of sin from body and I knew it was from God.

God knows your Destiny, the Holy Spirit knows your Destiny. What he showed me then is what I’m doing now.

I Prophesy that your future will never be confusing to you – Amen.

I Prophesy now that your Next Step will come to you in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
