GENERAL PRAYERS

1. Can we just lift our hands to the Almighty God and begin to bless His Holy Name.

Let’s give Him Glory, let’s give Him Honour, let’s give Him Adorations. Let’s bless His Holy Name for everything He has done for us since the beginning of this Year.

Let’s Thank Him for what He has done for us in the Past forty (40) Years – Let’s give Him Glory, let’s give Him Honour. He is worthy to be Praised, He is worthy to be Honoured, He is worthy to be Magnified.

There is no one like Him – He is the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending; the One who was, the One who is, the One who is to come; the Unchangeable Changer, the Faithful One; the Holy One of Israel.

Let us bless His Holy Name – Give Him Glory, give Him Honour, give Him Adorations today – He is the Father of all fathers, He is the God of the First (1st) Born. Let’s bless His Holy Name.

Thank You Father, Thank You Lord.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have worshipped – Amen.

2. Let us bless the Name of the Lord on behalf of all First (1st) borns and cry to God for them that God will give them a “SUNRISE”.

Go ahead and cry to God for all the First (1st) borns.

Those of your here or wherever they may be or those reading now on the Label of DMC (First Borns); we Thank God for their lives, we Thank God for everything He has Promised for all First (1st) borns.

He (God) said that they are His Own – Now we want the Almighty to give them a “Sunrise” and a New Beginning – A New Beginning of Glory.

Pray for every First (Born) that it will be well with them, that their Sun will rise, that the Almighty God will Prosper everyone of them and make each one a Blessing to their families.

Thank You Father!

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

3. Now, I want you to lift your voice to the Almighty God loud and clear and say: Father, out of Your Infinite Mercies, let it be well with my family; let it be well with the Church of God and let it be well with our Nation.

Go ahead; talk to the Almighty God.

OPENING PRAYER

Ancient of Days, we worship You; the One whose Name is Faithful, we worship You.

Our Great Saviour, our Great Supporter, our Great Provider, our Friend, our King, our Lord, our Defender, The Ancient of Days, The Unchangeable Changer, The Holy One of Israel, The One who is Higher than the highest, The One who is Greater than the greatest, The One who is Wiser than the wisest, The One who is Richer than the richest – Glory be to Your Holy Name.

This morning Lord God Almighty; we want to say Thank You – Thank You for The Redeemed Christian Church of God, Thank You for the one You used as our Founder, Thank You for Pa Josiah Akindayomi, Thank You for his family, Thank You Your Faithfulness Lord, Thank You Your Covenant with him – Father Please accept our Thanksgiving in Jesus’ Name.

Thank You for all You have done in the Past forty (40) Years; Thank You for what You will yet do in the Future – Please accept our Thanks in Jesus’ Name.

My Lord and Saviour; we commit all the First (1st) Borns into our hands; Bless them, Protect them, let them become Mighty Leaders – Leaders in their families, Leaders in their towns, Leaders in their Countries, Leaders in the House of God.

… Please give them a “Sunrise”.

As for Your Children who has been Faithful Lord in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings; my Lord and my Saviour I Pray today like never before that you will visit them; embarrass them with Your Blessings. Even before the end of this Month; give them Mighty Breakthroughs.

And Lord God Almighty; I’m crying unto You again on behalf of our Nation Nigeria – Please Lord, have Mercy on Nigeria.

In Your Own Miraculous Way(s); use the New Head of Services (For Army, Navy, Airforce and Defence Staff) – Use them for Your Glory.

Father, help them!

I Pray Lord God Almighty that because everything that has a Beginning must have an End – Let Terrorism be soon over in Nigeria.

Whatever you have to do Lord God Almighty to bring Peace and Progress and Prosperity and Joy and Harmony to our Nation Father do it very quickly.

And as for Your Children who are here today and all those who are listening to us all over the world or reading now on the Label of DMC; Father I Pray that today will be a New Beginning for them – A New Beginning of Joy, of Peace, of Success, of Progress, of Promotion, of Anointing, of a Closer Walk with You, of Divine Power.

Thank You my Father and my God.

And if You delay Your Coming; I Pray that in another ten (10) Years; we will all be here – Healthy, Stronger, Closer to You, More Powerful in You and doing Greater Exploits for You.

Well, I don’t want to tell you all the details but the first time that I have the Glimpse of Heaven; some of the flowers there resemble these ones – Though they are far, far more Glorious than these but at least you tried.

And Thank You for the cake – I will keep a little bit of mine till when I can eat.

Glory be to God – Hallelujah!

Now, I want to thank all of you who has been Praying for us; who has been sending us Congratulatory Messages and all manners of Gifts.

The Almighty God will Prosper you in Jesus Name – Amen.

I’m sure that you are not in a hurry much – There might be one (1) or two (2) things that we need to say.

But first of all; just a short one for the First Borns.

I’m sure that you know that “Sunrise” means automatically: A New Day, a New Beginning

And so for all of you who are First (1st) Born; get ready for a New Beginning in Jesus Name – Amen!

But you see: Sunrise is different from a New Dawn.

… There could be days when the Sun will not rise!

The first time that I visited Canada; we arrived in the night.

When we woke up in the morning; there were lots of noise – Motorcyclists going wide, cars blaring their horns.

So I asked one of the People there: What is going on there?

And they said that in that Particular Part of the Country; they were seeing the Sun for the first time in six (6) Months.

… The Sun rose for the first time in six (6) Months.

It is a very Cold Part of the Country (Canada).

I said that they are excited about Sunrise?

They should come and visit me in Nigeria – The Sun rises almost everyday!

But you see; the Bible talks about the Glory of the Sun.

1. So, Sunrise does not just mean a New Beginning; it means a New Beginning of Glory.

So, for all of you who are First (1st) Borns – Wherever you are or as you read now on the Label of DMC; your Glory begins from now on – Amen!

2. Sunrise also automatically means Joy.

Because the Bible says: Weeping may endure for a Night; but Joy comes in the morning.

So, for all of you First (1st) Borns even as you read now on the Label of DMC; in the Name that is above every other names; your Joy begins – Amen.

I THINK THAT IS ENOUGH FOR YOU TO REJOICE ABOUT!

PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE WORDS OF APPRECIATIONS IN HIS 40 YEARS STEWARDSHIP AS GENERAL OVERSEER OF RCCG.

1. Because today; I want to really Thank God for a New Beginning.

I want to Thank Him (God) for what He has done in the Past forty (40) Years.

But you know that there is this saying that: Life begins at forty (40).

… So, forty (40) Years gone means Life is beginning – Beginning for me and my wife (Amen).

2. And you cannot ask for a better wife than the one God gave me.

I’m saying this with all sense of responsibility – If you have a wife that is better than mine; you should be afraid because it can only mean that your wife is not Human Being. That’s the meaning.

The Almighty God in His Infinite Mercies gave me the best woman anywhere in the world.

And I’m not just saying that one for the sake of saying it – I’m saying it because God who knows the End from the beginning knew very well that I could not Possibly have done this work with another woman.

If it has been a different woman that is my wife; I won’t be where I am today.

… It is not just Possible – It is as simple as that!

I mean I just give you one Illustration and then we move on to other things – We have agreed that nobody is in a hurry.

I love to spend time with God Particularly when we have Big Programs.

You see; if you can just sit down and you just think about it – Consider just one Million (1,000,000) People in one Place for a Week and there is no one trampled to death – Not for one (1) Year, not for two (2) Years, not for three (3) Years. Then you should know that God must be involved okay!

And for God to be involved; somebody has to quietly stay with that God and Position Him.

So, I love to be in the Prayer Room during the Conventions, Congresses and so on and so forth.

But you can only feel comfortable if I’m in the Prayer Room, if there is Somebody outside that is taking care of the Physical.

Moses can only feel comfortable on the Hill Top if there is a Joshua in the Valley below dealing with the Amalekites.

How many of you know what I’m talking about?

I can only feel comfortable in the Prayer Room because I know my wife is out there – If there is shortage of water, they run to her; she knows who to call. If food is not ready on time, they run to her; she knows what to do.

Help me Thank God for giving me a “Good Wife”.

I know that when she was singing; when she got to a Stage she said: Daddy GO.

I knew she was trying to say: Come and Join me.

I deliberately refused. I don’t want to steal her Show. That Section of the Show belongs to her.

… Let’s give the Lord a Big Round of applause!

Every members of my family; they knew at least they all know by now that if you say you want to see the General Overseer; you are wasting your time.

Because you say you want to see him today he is in India, tomorrow he is in Australia.

… You don’t need to bother about him – Just get his wife. Anything you want you will get it; even more than the General Overseer will give you.

So many occasions they will say: Help us thank your wife.

At times, I get jealous and I say: Hey, wait a minute Oh; who is giving the wife the Permission to do what she is doing?

I Thank God for my wife. I Thank God for you because God has given you a “Good Mother”.

3. I want to Thank God for my father in the Lord – Papa Josiah Akindayomi.

I want to Thank God for a Man who can hear from God because if he didn’t hear from God; I won’t be here.

He heard from God – Of all the People that could become the General Overseer; I am the “Least Qualified”.

I mean the Church started in 1952, I came in 1973 and two (2) Years after I came (In 1975); he ordained me as a Pastor.

… That is not done in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG)

The day he was ordaining me Pastor here in that “Little Building” over there; the Man that was anointed before me had been in the Church for fifteen (15) Years.

I just come – And what you called “Johnny Just Come” (JJC).

Of course; that gave a Signal to the entire Congregation – Watch that Boy!

When he called me and said that he was going to ordained me; my wife and I – We fasted for fourteen (14) days that God will not allow it to happen.

Ha, Oh yes: Who wanted to be a Pastor?

In those days at least in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); to become a Pastor is to be sentenced to Poverty – In Plain Language.

And I had been Poor, I have known Poverty – For the first eighteen (18) Years of my Life, no Pair of shoes.

Then I struggled and struggled and finished University Education – I became a Lecturer at the University.

Now, at least when I joined the Church; my car which was Second (2nd) Hand was a newest car in the Church out of the five (5) cars – At least the only one you don’t have to Push before it will start.

Then suddenly; somebody is now talking about becoming a Pastor? You want me to go back to Poverty? – Oh, No!

We Prayed and Fasted – My wife and I but God didn’t answer that Prayer.

… That God He didn’t!

When my father in the Lord told me that I will be succeeding him – Not that God had not told me Himself; we will take a little bit of that later on.

I told Him No that it won’t happen.

He said God told him and I said talk to God again. Anyone that He chooses for you; I will support the fellow one hundred Percent (100%).

But for me to leave the comfort that I have and become a Pastor?

I mean you won’t understand – As the Acting Head of the Department of the Mathematics at the University of Ilorin (Kwara State Nigeria); my Boy’s Quarter alone has four (4) Bedrooms.

Because in Ilorin (University of Ilorin, Kwara State Nigeria) then; there were houses with nobody to live there and not the way it is now.

And then they gave me a Guest House Quarter – Two (2) Bedrooms Bungalow.

… So, that will tell you what the Main house is like!

To leave there and come and live in one (1) Room in Mushin (Low Earner Living Part of Lagos State Nigeria)? – I said God forbid!

He insisted and I wrote him a letter.

You know Baba Akindayomi could not read other than the Bible – He could read the Bible because God thought him how to do that Supernaturally and he could read the Hymn Book by Supernatural Ability. But any other thing; he couldn’t read!

So, I wrote him a letter to tell him: Choose Somebody else.

Thank God that the boy who read the letter to him is here today – He is Pastor David Kuo.

So, I have a Witness that I didn’t want to be a General Overseer – It was in writing that I wrote it to the Old Man.

The Old Man called me and he broke my back by saying one thing – I know what God told me; I know what you are saying. That is okay as I can’t force you but I want you to know one thing: I LOVE YOU!

That settled the matter – I couldn’t disappoint the Man who loves me!

… And if we are talking about Love; Baba Akindayomi loved me!

He wasn’t Somebody that you joke with Oh – Baba Akindayomi was another Elijah. He was fire.

So, when you see me; there are lots of difference between us

When Baba Akindayomi says he wants to see you in his office; until you get there and he tells you why; you will be sweating – Ask the old ones there!

That was my father in the Lord – He was a Prayer Warrior, he was a Man of God, he could hear from God!

He is not one of these “So Called Apostles” – He was Great!

And it was the Covenant that God gave to him (Baba Josiah Akindayomi) that we are executing now.

We are merely operating under the Covenant that God gave to Josiah Akindayomi.

Let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

You see once your head is Good; all is well with the body. If a Man’s head is bad; every other thing will go wrong.

If a Man is mad; the brain is turned – With his own hands, he will remove his clothes. A mad Man will be walking naked in the Street and he won’t even know something has gone wrong with the head.

But we had a Good Head, who has a Covenant with God.

God told him – You do the following, I will make sure that this Church will go round the world and I will meet the Church when I returned.

So, when the People begin to cricticise the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); go on to stay all manners of things; I don’t Pay attention because what God has decreed is going to be established – Amen.

So, I Thank God for your Life – Those of you who are Members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God and those of you who will join because whether the devil likes it or not; the Lord is going to see you through – Amen.

4. I want to Thank God for all the Pastors all over.

I want you to know that you are not in the Redeemed Christian Church of God by accident.

I know that there will be many who will be “Birds of Passage” – Who will just come, spend some time and then go away. That is what is written for them.

For those of you who decided – This is where I am going to be till I see Jesus Christ; Ha Congratulations because I am going to see you in Heaven – Amen.

Okay, I can keep on going on and on but let me say just one more thing then I will say that one from the Book of Psalms 103: 1-5.

Psalms 103:1-5:

1Bless the LORD, O my Soul: and all that is within me, bless his Holy Name.

2 Bless the LORD, O my Soul, and forget not all his benefits:

3 Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases;

4 Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies;

5 Who satisfieth thy mouth with Good things; so that thy Youth is renewed like the Eagle’s.

SUMMARY OF THE JOURNEY OF THE PAST 40 YEARS BY PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE

If I am to give you a Summary of what the Journey has been like this Past forty (40) Years; I will be lying to you if I say that the Journey has been smooth because it has not been smooth. I will be lying to you if I say that things has been easy because to tell you the truth; it has not been easy.

There has been times of Pains; there has been times of Agony; there has been times of Sorrow; there has been times of betrayal – But one thing kept us going Strong and that is God gave us the ability to hear from Him – That is the Secret!

And I am going to share with you some of the things He (God) said as we began the Journey!

And I’m decreeing concerning everyone of you my children – In the Name that is above every other names; from now on, you will be hearing from God – Amen!

Because if you are travelling on a Journey that you have never travelled before; you need Guidance, you need someone who knows the Way, who will say: Hey, turn Right here, turn left here, slow down here et cetera et cetera.

1. I told you at the beginning that things were tough.

We had a Staff Strength of about thirty nine (39) of them and we had to Pray and Fast every Month to be able to Pay their salaries.

So, by the end of the Month; there is nothing left for the General Overseer but at least the Staffs were Paid.

And at that time; at least for the First (1st) Year; my wife was still working.

… So, you know who was feeding who in those early days!

Things were so tough, I sold my car.

You know when I become the General Overseer; as a Senior Lecturer at the University I was riding a Toyota Crown and the Toyota Crown of those days were I mean a long car.

It was what you call: “Head Turner” – When Toyota Crown was Passing by; everybody wants to look at it.

My car, I had to sell it – Even though the Person who bought it only Paid half of the money and never Paid the reminder till today.

So, I asked for my Gratuity from the Government – You know because I have worked with the Government for Years: I taught in Secondary School, taught in the University. We calculated all the Years together and they Paid me my Gratuity.

It was a “Big Money” – At least if you have nothing; any money is big.

I was happy – At least this money will keep me going on for a while because little by little; the Church was growing.

Then all of a sudden it occurred to me that I’m now under a New Management and I better ask God what I should do with this money.

And He said that I’m happy that you ask!

So, be careful if you want to hear from God – Some of the things that you hear might not be easy.

He said: Divide the money into three (3) – I said Amen.

I said He will say invest this one with Coca Cola, invest this one with whatever; said on and so forth.

He said: Give one third to this Ministry; I said Yes Lord.

Give one third to this Ministry – Ha, the Yes Lord became very Low.

I said Yes Lord and I was Praying seriously desperately that He will allow me to keep the remaining one third.

But He said and you give the remaining one third to this Ministry.

Ha, I said: Yes Lord – It was a whisper.

But then He said one thing: My son I will be Your Source!

So, when you see me today and you are envying me; you need to know who is my Source!

I decree because like father like children; the One who is my Source will be your Source; Inclusive all the DMC Family Members – Amen!

2. And then I began to cry to Him when the one (1) Year that my wife was going to be in Ilorin was drawing to an end and I was living in a room in Mushin (A Low Earner Part in Lagos State Nigera).

… That was the room my father in the Lord was living in by his death – So, I just moved into his room in Mushin (A Low Earner Part in Lagos State Nigera).

So, I began to cry to God – My wife and children are coming; Please build for me a Boy’s Quarter so that there will be a room for me and my wife, one for my children, one for Guest who may come. I think I said one for my boy who is a little grown; the girl was next to him.

… If you don’t mind; Please just a Boy’s Quarter in Mushin (A Low Earner Part in Lagos State Nigera) there.

And He said to me: Son don’t ask me for a house; I have told you before. He said because I have decided to build you a City.

… That is what He said!

I told those who are close to me and they laughed.

I don’t blame them for laughing – If you have only one room in Mushin (A Low Earner Part in Lagos State Nigera) and you are now talking of a City – It is either you have Faith in God or you are crazy to believe that kind of thing.

But I know his Voice.

Today, there is one “Little Place” called Redemption Camp – It is bigger than some Villages that I know; it has its own Water System (We are not connected to the Government Water System); it has its own Power System (We are not connected to any Power System); it has Schools; it has Clinics; it has Restaurants.

… From one room in Mushin (A Low Earner Part in Lagos State Nigera) to that Place!

I decree to those of you who thinks that you are small now and who are reading now on the Label of DMC; in the Name of the One who called me; you will be Greater than you can think – Amen!

3. And then after about two (2) Years or so of being General Overseer – Because with the thirty nine (39) Parishes or so that we have; there are thirty nine (39) Problems.

Oh God; Problems everywhere – Today they are quarreling in Ilorin (Capital of Kwara State Nigeria); tomorrow the Landlord in Kaduna is about to throw out the Church; next time; Oh, there is a Problem between the Pastor in Oshogbo (Osun State Capital in Nigeria) and the Pastor in Ilesha (Osun State Capital in Nigeria).

Oh God; crisis upon crisis – I don’t want to talk to you too much about that.

4. The then “Supreme Council” as they are called; we now call them “Governing Council” – We used to meet every Month and I had to Fast three (3) days before the Meeting because it was battle.

If you have a Group of People – I think about twelve (12) of them at that time and you can only rely on two (2) or three (3) among them; you will know what I’m talking about.

Thank God the one who is the “Most Faithful” among them all is still alive and well till today – Glory be to God (Hallelujah).

.,.. Well, don’t let me begin to mention names.

And so one day; I stood before the Mirror; I wasn’t forty (40) Years old then and all my hair had gone grey.

Ha Lord; I know Your Words says: Grey hair is a Crown of Glory.

But it is for Old People and not Young ones.

And He said to me: You are the one worrying!

Worrying? I’m doing the works you ask me to do.

He said that you are carrying the burden that is not yours.

What do you mean?

He said: What is the Name of the Church?

I said: The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

He said: Say it again and I say it the Second time; say it again and I say it the Third time.

He said: Is it The Redeemed Christian Church of Adeboye?

I said: No!

He said: Then why are you carrying the burden that is not yours?

But you are the one who made me General Overseer! I told you that I don’t want it.

He said: I’m just using you as a Camouflage – The People can’t see Me. They have to see somebody and so I Put you infront so that I can stay behind and do the work.

… It is not your Church and so it is not your Problem!

Hey, I said that I will never worry again.

Within two (2) weeks; every hair on my head became black!

When some Years ago when I’m approaching Seventy (70) Years – When I began to see some Grey hairs here and there; I said: Lord am I worrying again?

He said: This time, you are growing Old.

Whatever has been causing you to worry even as you read now on the Label of DMC; in the Name that is above every other names; it will end today – Amen!

5. And then I was forty (40) Years old, sitting in my office then.

And you need to see the office – It was built with Partitioning. We had a “Special Table” made. There was one Man in the Church then of Blessed Memory – Papa Alase (A Furniture Maker).

So, he made me a “Big Table” and infront of my table; there was a nameplate – Reverend (Dr.) E.A Adeboye (BSc, MSc, PhD).

… Laughs! The only thing that I didn’t write there was “Empty Barrel”.

I was forty (40) Years old and then God spoke to me – He will speak to somebody here today (Amen).

It is Good to be able to hear from Him – It makes the Journey easy.

And suddenly, He showed me a very little Vision and drew two (2) Pictures – The one that Mathematicians will understand.

There is one which the Mathematicians will call “Head Down Parabola” – It is the Picture of a Valley. And then there is one we call the “Head Up Parabola” – It is the Picture of a Hill (The other way).

And at the Turning Point (TP) of each one – The Turning Point (TP) of the Valley; there was forty (40) at the bottom. At the Turning Point (TP) of the one that is like a Hill, there was forty (40) there too.

So, I knew immediately that He was going to talk about my age.

And He said: Son, look at these two (2) Graphs; which one do you choose?

Ha, Thank God for the Holy Spirit and He guided me and I said: The “Head Down Parabola” – The one that is like a Valley.

He said to me: Son, you have chosen well because if at forty (40) Years you choose this one; it means that where you are now is the lowest you will ever be – It’s your Turning Point (TP).

… And I was glad!

But then He said: All these Reverend, Doctor et cetera et cetera will have to go. There is no Reverend (Dr.) in the Church. You are a Pastor – Period!

You humble yourself and I will lift you up!

And from that day till now; by the Grace of God we have been going Higher and I can assure you that we will just keep on going Higher!

And I decree concerning all my children inclusive the DMC family Members; beginning from today; in every facets of your Life you will be going Higher – Amen!

6. But then He has spoken to me in other ways again.

You see; when some People are Preaching and they say: Once you are Born Again, you can do whatever you like and you will still make it to Heaven. Grace will cover it all – I never argue!

I don’t know too much of the Bible you know – I mean anybody can Preach my Sermon.

My Sermon from the beginning to the end is: Jesus saves, Jesus heals, Jesus delivers and be Holy.

You can take all my Sermon and cut it into Pieces and find nothing there.

… That is the Gospel – Simple!

So, I don’t know Theology – That is one thing that baffles me why He (God) chooses me.

You know, I never went to Bible School – He didn’t even give me the opportunity to go.

So, I don’t know Greeks, I don’t know Hebrews – I only know English and Yoruba (A Language in Nigeria).

And because I don’t know all the deep, deep ones; that is why I listened to Him; let Him talk to me.

7. An incident happened – Some of you will remember.

Our First (1st) Camp in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) is in a Place called “Poka” in Epe (Lagos State Nigera) .

Today now; we have converted it to the Campground for former Area Boys – About three thousand (3,000) of them now are already rehabilitated and are doing great things for God.

It was our first (1st) Campground and we wanted to begin to use the Campground – So, we went there and we needed to build toilets (1 for Men; 1 for Women).

And there was this Surveyor who wanted to take the Contract for digging the toilet. And we told him – 6ft by 6ft and 6ft deep because we are using “ft” in those days.

So, he charged us.

And then we got to the Place where we wanted to build for him to measure the Ground and instead of him measuring in “ft”; he began to measure in metres – That is more than three (3) times what we bargained for.

I noticed it, I kept quiet and the Holy Spirit said to me: Correct him!

I said: No Lord! I’m not going to correct him. He supposed to be a Surveyor. Who doesn’t know the difference between “ft” and Metres? Maybe he charged me for Metres anyway.

We got to the Second (2nd) Place and he began to measure again in Metres; the Holy Spirit said again: Correct him.

I said: No Lord! If he is a Surveyor; whatever School of Survey he went to that they didn’t teach them the difference between “ft” and Metres; let him Pay for it.

… And God kept quiet!

And there was this huge Hausa Man (A Tribe in Nigeria) – Those who dig when you want to dig toilets or something; they are the People you call.

And as the Man finished measuring the ground; he (Hausa Man) looked at me and smiled and said: “Mai Gida” (Local Greeting Style in Hausa Language which means: Good Day Mr Man).

And when I saw this Man smiling at me; I wanted to be a Good Pastor and so I smiled back at him. He stretched forth his hands and I stretched out my hand to shake him – He crapped my hands and began to squeeze it.

… And I’m telling you that those big hands there are like iron.

I mean that he was Practically crushing my bones and it was very Painful.

I said: Ha Lord!

And God said to me: I told you to correct the Surveyor!

I will correct him Lord and the Hausa Man released by hands.

But by now; my hands was boiling like Fire!

I corrected the Surveyor and was going back to the car – I was Grumbling: Ha Daddy, the Punishment is too much for the offence.

And He spoke to me and said: Son, I have told you that you are Special to me. I will not take Nonsense from you.

Since then; I have learnt my Lesson!

Those of you that you who think that because God loves you; that you can do whatever you like – You are joking.

If you say that you are a Child of God, that you are Special to Him and you are misbehaving and He is allowing you to get away with it free; check your Salvation, check the relationship between you and Him.

The Word of God made it clear: Whosoever the Father loves, He chastens.

… And I hope somebody is listening to me – If you think that God will allow you to live a “Careless Life” and get away with it; then it may be that the God that you are serving is different from my own.

The more He loves you; the harder He gets with you.

For forty (40) Years Moses led the children of Israel in the wilderness – They gave him horrors. But one day; he lost his Temper.

One day, God told him to speak to the Rock but instead of speaking to the Rock, He struck the Rock.

God said: That’s it boy! You have blown it!

Pray for me!

You know that my Prayer Request has always been: That I will finish well, that I will finish Strong!

Pray for yourself that you will no longer be messing around with God!

You don’t mess around with the one who is called: The Consuming Fire.

I have explained it to some of my friends who said: Hey, how come can you be this close to God and still have the Fear of Him?

I said: I love Him, I Reference Him but I also feared Him.

There is a Line that you don’t cross with the Holy One of Israel!

It will be a mad Fellow who will not fear the One whose Name is “The Consuming Fire”.

The Elders will tell you: Even when a dog is mad; it will still recognise fire.

Is that not true?

You will never find a Mad Man who get burnt.

Tell a Mad Man: Touch fire. He will tell you: Ha, Ha; my craziness does not reach that level.

What is the Name of God? – Consuming Fire!

Oh, they tell you: God is Love. Yes I know!

I have just come to tell you how I got where I am?

Let them enjoy themselves – They say: Grace will cover the fall. I said okay!

I Pray that you are right.

Why don’t you enjoy yourself with all the beautiful women in The Redeemed Christian Church of God. You could have had hundreds of concubines.

You know that the devil is a liar – Our God is Holy!

Do I get an Amen to that – Amen!

… Don’t mess with Him!

8. Now, after Lekki 1998 (The Inaugural Edition of The RCCG Holy Ghost Congress held on the Beach Shore of Lekki Beach in Lagos State Nigera on the 18th of December, 1998 with the Theme: DIVINE VISITATION) – Which was another Beginning in our Mission’s History.

I mean Lekki Beach was Parked with People – The crowd as at that time was unbelievable. Souls were saved, the Sicks were Healed – It was beautiful!

So, when I got back to the Camp that night; I couldn’t sleep of course.

So, I got up at night as was my Practice.

When I was Praising God and Thanking Him for what He has done – Between 2am and 3am; suddenly I heard His Voice: Son – Yes Lord. Bend down – Yes Lord!

Like I used to say it jokingly: I bend down because that Place was still “Part Jungle” then. Maybe a Witch is about to Fly Pass.

So, I bent down quickly.

So, He said: Draw the figure of a Man in the sand.

Yes Lord – And so I drew the figure of a Man: Zero for Head, one line for the Body, one line here, one line there – Just like that kind of drawings.

Then He said: Get Up.

I got Up and He said: Wipe off what you have drawn with your leg.

By now, I was sweating because I knew He was going to say something serious.

I wiped out that thing with my leg and He said: Son, if you ever forget who is in Charge; just like you wipe out that drawing; I will wipe you out.

So, when People ask me: How can you be Humble considering all the achievements; all that God has done for you? How can you still remain Humble?

Do you think that I want to be wiped out?

He said clearly in His Words: You humble yourself, I will lift you Up; you become Proud, I will resist you.

Is that not in your own Bible?

I don’t know how it is written in Greeks or Hebrews o; but that is how it is written in English and Yoruba (A Language in Nigeria).

Now, I have told you this one because I needed to show you a balance.

Oh, there are several occasions, several Visitations where He spoke to me and told me: Do this, do that et cetera, et cetera.

Like next Month now (March 2021); we are going to have the Anniversary of the Holy Ghost Service.

He said: Son, what do you want for your Birthday?

And I told Him: I want a Miracle for every Members of my Congregation.

… And so on and so forth – Several occasions!

9. But I want to conclude with the one which I believed will be very, very encouraging to everyone of us.

And I told you early this Year that He said: Son, The Redeemed Christian Church of God is Mine; I can take care of My Own, I will take care of My Own!

The Almighty God asked me to make that one loud and clear to you now!

You know that I was telling you that Month: Don’t be afraid because I knew that there was fear in the Country and I see a little bit of fear around.

… But don’t be afraid!

Remember that I told you then: Don’t be careless either – Wear your Mask, watch your hands, sanitise your hands, obey the Protocols but God said: Don’t be afraid!

Why? – My Daddy says: The One who told me when I was in one Room in Mushin (A Low Earner Part of Lagos State Nigera) that He will build me a City. My Daddy who is Faithful, who moves in “Mysterious Ways” ask me to make it loud and clear to you: The Redeemed Christian Church of God is Mine; I can take care of My Own, I will take care of My Own!

May I say it one more time: God will take care of you – Amen!

I never Preached Denomination; I only Preached Jesus Christ!

But I’m Thanking God for those of you who decided and those of you who may decide from now on to join The Redeemed Christian Church of God – Whether the devil likes it or not; it doesn’t matter what your enemies Within or enemies Without do; God will take care of you – Amen!

ALTAR CALL

So, let me give an opportunity for those of you who may want to surrender your Lives to Jesus Christ.

If you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ; whether here or wherever is it that you are listening to me or reading now on the Label of DMC; come and surrender your Life to Jesus Christ.

As soon as He has saved your Soul; talk to your Pastor or to a Pastor of The Redeemed Christian Church of God close to you; get Baptized; be Baptized in the Holy Spirit; join the Church and I can assure you – The God of The Redeemed Christian Church of God will take care of you.

So, if you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ; come now as I’m going to count from 1 to 10.

… Keep coming those of you on the Way.

But those of you infront; Please talk to the Almighty God and say: Please Lord, save my Soul; I want to be Part of Your Family; I want to become True Child of the Living God. Lord have Mercy on me, forgive all my sins and I will serve you too, I will serve you all the days of my Life.

And the rest of us: Let us stretch our hands towards these People and intercede for them. That the One who saved our Soul will save their own Souls also; that the God who has been Merciful unto us, will be Merciful unto them also.

Please intercede for them for another one (1) minute.

And if there is anyone who is still coming – You need to hurry up now because I am about to Pray for Salvation.

Father, just have Mercy on Your Children and save their Souls – Intercede for them Brethren!

Thank You Father. Glory be to God!

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

Saviour, I want to Thank You.

Oh Lord, I Thank You for Your Words; I Thank You for Your Faithfulness; I Thank You for Supporting all of us all these Years.

And I’m asking Lord God Almighty that you will Please accept our Thanks in Jesus’ Name.

As for Your Children who are surrendering their lives to You now; Please receive them in Jesus Name; save their Souls; wash them in Your Blood; write their names in the Book of Life and Please receive them into the Family of God.

So that from now on; anytime they cry unto You; you will answer them by Fire.

Thank You Almighty God.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Now, I want to rejoice with those of you who has given your lives to Jesus Christ today.

I Promised you that from now on; I will be Praying for you.

The Counsellors will be attending to you in a Moment but I want you to be Part of the Prayers that we are going to Pray now before the Counsellors will take you away.

The rest of us; can we Stand on our feet and shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

You are going to lift your voice to the Almighty God and Please Pray this Prayer with all your hearts.

And say: Father, You who has been supporting this Your son; I cry unto You today let his Sun rise.

Go ahead to the Almighty God.

You have been supporting Your son for the Past forty (40) Years – It is a New Beginning now, another Sunrise for him Lord.

Please Lord let my own Sun rise too today.

Go ahead and talk to the Almighty God!
