TOPIC: TIME MANAGEMENT – PART 2.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
We are continuing in our Series on “Time Management.”

And it is important in this Series that you bear in Mind the following things about Time.
It is important you know how to measure how effective you are in Managing Time.
There are two (2) Quotes that I will like to start with: One by Charles Richards and the other by Henry David Thoreau.
According to Charles Richards, he said:
Don’t be fooled by the Calendar. There are only as many days in the Year as you make use of. One man gets only a week’s Value out of a Year while another man gets a full Year’s Value out of a week.
… Isn’t that interesting?
In other words, it is Possible that throughout the whole Year; the amount of Time you have actually used Productively is not more than one (1) week. Out of the fifty two (52) weeks of the Year; you have only been Productive for one (1) week.
Whereas another Person within one (1) week; he has actually accomplished what could not be achieved in one (1) Year.
… So, it all depends on how each Person utilises Time. It depends on your Mastering of Time!
That is what determines how effective you are in the Game of Life.
I want you to know that God has given Time to everyone in the same Quantity and that is why this Second (2nd) Quote is also very important and I quote:
It is not enough to be busy; so are the ants. The question is: What are we busy about?
Henry David Thoreau, an American Philosopher and Writer said: It is not enough to be busy; so are the ants. But the question is: What are we busy about?
Many People are busy doing nothing – That is why I will need to ask you some very important questions that can measure your effectiveness!
And I want you to take note of these questions:
- Are the task you work on during the day; are they ones with the Highest Priority?
You may answer that question with:
I. “Not at All”
II. “Rarely”
III. “Sometimes”
IV. “Often”
V. “Very Often”
- Do you find yourself completing Tasks at the Last Minute or asking for Extensions?
Do that happen to you all the time? Does it happen at all?
- Do you Set aside Time for Planning and Scheduling.
- Do you know how much Time you are spending on the various Jobs that you do?
- How often do you find yourself dealing with Interruptions?
- Do you see Goal Setting as a way to decide what Task and Activities you should work on?
You know we spoke on Goal Setting the other time – Part 1 during the PSF Hour of January 2021 HGS.
- Do you leave Contingency Time in Schedule to deal with the Unexpected?
In other words, do you Plan your Time in such a way that you are still Flexible around some issues?
- Do you know whether the Task you are working on are High, Medium or of Low Value?
- When you are given a New Assignment, do you analyse it for Importance and Prioritise it accordingly?
- Are you Stressed about Deadlines and Commitments?
Does that happens to you rarely or Often or “Very Often”.
- Does distractions often keep you away from working on Critical Task?
- Do you have to take work home in order to get it done?
For some People; their house is an Extension of their office. Often, they have to carry files upon files home so that there is no even time for them to relax at home because they have not Planned Relaxation Time into their Time Management.
- Do you Prioritise your To-Do List or Action Program?
- Do you regularly confirm your Priorities with your Boss?
What actually is a Priority to your Boss is that what is a Priority to you?
… That’s important!
- Before you take on a Task; do you check if the results will be worth the time you put in?
All these are questions that you must be able to answer and you must be able to allot time for them!
And allotting time for them will show us whether you are actually managing your Time well; whether you are effective in Time Management.
And I want you to listen to these questions over and over again so that you will be able to respond to them appropriately!

And may I say: Be Truthful to yourself when you are answering these questions because in our “Next Episode; we will be looking at how these questions will help you to know how to manage Time and to better deal with the issue of Time.

In the meantime, don’t forget the Prayers that we started with the other time when we were looking at this Time Management.
In Psalms 90:12 – That very important Prayer; tells us exactly about Time because the issue of Time has always been a “Main Discuss” from Generation to Generation.
So, in that Passage; the Bible says: So teach us to number our days that we may apply our hearts unto Wisdom.
Only the Wise will give Priority to how they manage Time.
… And I want you to be one of such!
Let us Pray together!
CLOSING PRAYER
Blessed Father, we appreciate You and we honour Your Majesty.
We give You Glory and Appreciation and Honour and Glory for all you have done.
Daddy, we Pray for everyone who has listened to this Particular Message or reading now on the Label of DMC; that you will help us to truthfully answer these questions and that these questions will help us to be Truthful with ourselves and to teach us how to be effective in our Time Management.
Thank You Heavenly Father; Blessed be Your Name because we know that our lives will Change for the better in this very Year of Restoration and Recovery – We shall recover all our “Lost Glories” even as we even learn to Manage Time much better.
