OPENING PRAYER

Father, we Thank You. We appreciate You for Your Love, Thank You for what You have done, Thank You for what You are doing, Thank You for what You will still do. We return all Glory to You – Please, take all Glory in the Name of Jesus.

Thank You for this Special Season. We ask Oh Lord that You take over my lips, make Your Words Simple enough so that everybody under the Sound of my Voice and those reading now on the Label of DMC including the Speaker will be blessed.

And we vow that when You do this, we will return all Glory and Honour back to You.

In Jesus Mighty Name we Pray – Amen!

Is Somebody getting ready to receive the Joy of the Lord; shout a better Amen – Amen!

I want to sincerely appreciate God for this opportunity to bring the Word of God to us from this Most Holy Highly Exalted Altar.

And Brethren, kindly join me to celebrate my Beloved father-in-the-Lord, our Coach, our Mentor, a Leader Per Excellence; who is celebrating Eighty (80) Years this Season.

And also, help me celebrate my “Beloved Mummy” also – Our Mother in Israel in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – The Assistant Birthday Celebrant of today. Common on, celebrate Mummy Folu Adeboye.

Join me to celebrate all our Elders – The Intercontinental Overseers and their Beloved Wives for their Support to daddy and mummy and their Support to the Young Adults and Youths.

I Pray that Heaven will go all the way to Support them and their children in Jesus Name – Amen!

Alright, the Topic under consideration tonight is: “THE JOY OF THE LORD”.

And I’m going to be reading two (2) Bible Texts – One from the Old Testament, the other from the New Testament.

Please follow me carefully: 1 Chronicles 16: 26-27 (KJV)

26. For all the gods of the People are idols: but the LORD made the Heavens.
27. Glory and Honour are in His Presence; Strength and Gladness are in his Place

If you read that Verse 27 from the New International Version (NIV) – 1 Chronicles 16:27 (NIV): Splendor and Majesty are before him; Strength and Joy are in His Dwelling Place.

Please, take Note of Strength and Joy are in His Dwelling Place – We are going to need it later!

The New Testament Bible Text is: Revelation 12: 7-8

7. And there was war in Heaven: Michael and his Angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his Angels,
8. And Prevailed not; neither was their Place found any more in Heaven.

May the Lord Brook upon His Words as we travel together in just some few minutes in Jesus Name – Amen!

Just by the way of Simple definitions – Like my father-in-the-Lord will say: In a Market Woman or an Ordinary Lame Man Language.

The Joy of the Lord is simply the Joy that comes from the Lord.

This implies that there are other Sources of Joy. But the one that we are considering tonight is the Joy whose Source is from the Lord.

1. The Joy of the Lord is a Joy in its own Class that only the Lord has the Capacity to give it.
2. The Joy of the Lord is a Specialised kind of Joy that can only be found in the Dwelling Place of the Most High.
3. The Joy of the Lord is an Extraordinary Joy – Only Divinity can give it to Humanity.

Now, let us go to our Bible Text:

1 Chronicles 16:26(a) says: For all the gods of the People are Idols.

What are the gods of the People that they have turned to Idols?

1. The gods of the People that they have turned to Idols are both Physical and Material Things which have given them some sense of Joy over some time.
2. They are both Living and Non Living Things that has been a Source of Solution to the People over time and giving them some kind of Pleasure, Joy and some form of Happiness.

And so, whether knowingly or unknowingly; consciously or unconsciously; these things just gradually become Idols in the People’s heart.

3. It is the Character and Nature of Men that we begin to get so addicted and so close to anything that will bring Joy for us.

That is what happened to our Great, Great, Grandfather in Africa – Especially in Yorubaland (The South Western People of Nigeria).

They actually believed in what they called “ELEDUMARE”

DMC NOTES: “Eledumare” or sometimes called “Olodumare” or also known as “Ọlọ́run” (Almighty); is one of the manifestations of the Supreme Creator God in Yoruba Religion.

But as they begin to find Pleasure in Mortal Men and Women of Unusual Powers and Abilities of their days; when they derived some Level of Pleasure, some Level of Happiness and some Level of Solutions from them; they gradually drift away from the “Eledumare”.

“Eledumare”, is the name given to the God Almighty!

Do you now know what happened?

They began to worship/serve – “Ogun”; “Oya”; “Sango”; “Osun”.

DMC NOTES: Kindly see below what each of the above referenced gods Stands for so that we can have better Understanding.

1. “Ogun* was a Warrior and a Powerful Spirit of Metal work, as well as of rum and rum-making. He is also known as the “god of Iron”, and is Present in Yoruba Religion.
2. “Oya” is one of the seven Primary “Orisha” in the Yoruba Religion, which originated in the Old Oyo Empire of Ancient Yorubaland, Present-day Nigeria. The name “Oya” is defined by the action “she tore,” “O-ya” in Yoruba. The River Niger, the thunderbolt, fire, tornadoes, buffalo, and the wind represent this female “Orisha”.
3. In Yoruba Mythology, “Sango” also known as “Jakuta” is Perhaps the most Popular “Orisha”; he is god of Thunder and Lightning and as well one of the most worshipped gods all over the world.
4. “Oshun”, also spelled “Osun”, an “Orisha” (deity) of the Yoruba People of Southwestern Nigeria. “Oshun” is commonly called the River “Orisha”, or goddess, in the Yoruba Religion and is typically associated with Water, Purity, Fertility, Love, and Sensuality.

These People are normal Human but because of the kind of Joy, the kind of Pleasure, the kind of Solution they are getting from them; they drifted away.

However, the act of Idolatory has shifted in the 21st Century:

1. We now have Ipad, Iphones etc.
2. There are People under the Sound of my Voice – If there is UEFA Champion’s League Match on a Sunday Morning Service, they will Prefer to watch the UEFA Champion’s League Match instead of going to Church.

That is not a sin on its own. It just shows clearly who you Prioritised in your Life.

3. In Philippians 3:19; the Scriptures was talking about those whose God is their belly.

In order words, there are People also – They cannot do without food. Their belly has become their god including some so called Pastors.

But our Pastors in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) anyway don’t do such.

4. Now listen carefully – There are People under the Sound of my Voice, they can’t joke with Facebook, they can’t joke with Instagram. It has become their god.

There are People that you don’t touch their car – If you bash their car even as Pastor, they will drop from the car and said: Let us leave Pastor alone first and let me show you who I am.

… Their things has become their “gods”.

But the Scriotures say: The People have begin to make some things to become their Idols.

And so, in order to separate Himself from all these “Small, Small gods’; the Scriptures continues in 1 Chronicles 16: 26(b) and say: He made the Heavens!

Can I Pray for Somebody under the Sound of my Voice or reading now on the Label of DMC – Are there things, whether Material, whether Spiritual that is contesting the Place of God in your Life; in the Name that is above every other names, they will be brought Low tonight or as you read in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

So, God created Heavens to avoid “Clash of Interest” with all this “Small, Small gods”.

And so what is Heaven? – Follow me carefully!

Heaven is a Place where God find comfortable enough to dwell and Tabernacle.

Isaiah 66:1 says: Heaven is His Throne, the Earth is His Footstool.

In Verse 27 – 1 Chronicles 16:27; the Scriptures now begin to tell us what you will find in a Place called Heaven.

It said that you will find Glory, you will find Honour, you will find Strength, you will find Splendor but most especially, you will find Joy!

I told you before, the Joy of the Lord is a kind of Joy that is residing in the Dwelling Place of the Most High.

This confirms to us that the Joy of the Lord is only what the Lord can give.

Let me show you just two (2) Significance of the Joy of the Lord:

1. It is only this Joy that comes from the Lord that we can refer to as Joy in its Fullness.

Psalms 16: 11(b) confirms that we will find in His Presence of the Lord Joy and at His Right Hand are Praises forever more.

If you will ask me – Its either your Joy is Full or I don’t consider it to be Joy at all. Or what is the importance of “Half-Baked”, “Half Full”, “Half Empty” Joy?

Can I Prophesy under this Atmosphere or as you read now on the Label of DMC – Whatever is it that is not making your Joy to be Full, may Heaven deal with them tonight – Amen!

I think in my own thought that the best one could get from Other Sources apart from the Presence of God can just be referred to as Happiness. Because as far as I am concerned, it is only in the Presence of the Lord that you can find the Fullness of Joy.

And don’t get it twisted – Happiness is not the same thing as Joy!

I. Happiness is an Emotional Feelings that you get from what is happening.

Joy is rather a Spiritual Chemical Reaction to what was written.

II. Happiness is a Feeling while Joy is a Spirit – Especially, one of the Fruits of the Spirit as confirmed by Galatians 5:22.

III. Happiness depends solely on what is happening while Joy depends on what was written.

And I can tell you for free that what is written is more Powerful than what is happening.

So, what is happening is that you have been waiting for the Fruit of the Womb for Years but what was written according to Exodus 23:26 was that: None shall be barren.

In the Name that is above every other names; what is written is about overtaking what is happening in your Life – Amen!

What is happening is Insecurity Challenges but the Scriptures speaking according to John 16: 33(b) – In the world thou shall have Tribulations but be of Good Cheers, I have overcome the world.

Can I speak to some Overcomers in this Particular Place or reading now on the Label of DMC – It doesn’t matter what is trying to tamper with your Joy; before this Weekend is over, you will finally overcome – Amen!

What is happening right now is that you are feeling sick with Doctor’s Report in your hand but I came with God’s Report so that what was Prophesied in Prophet Isaiah can come to Pass and find fulfilment in your Life that – He Himself took our infirmities and bore our sickness.

What He took long time ago is no longer there. He didn’t just take it now; He took it two thousand and twenty two (2022) Years ago.

I just declared to you God’s Report and God’s Report is Greater than what is happening!

2. The Joy of the Lord Supplies “Unusual Strength”.

In the Book of Nehemiah, the more they try to put in more efforts to build for the Lord, the more they encountered all manners of difficulties and discouragement on every sides. People like Tobiah and Sanballat will not allow them to build. People now begin to lose Strength, they begin to get discouraged.

So, in Nehemiah 8:10; Nehemiah said unto his People – Go and eat, go and drink; send some Portion to those who do not even have nothing to Prepare for this Day is Holy unto the Lord.

How many of you know that this Day is Holy unto the Lord?

Don’t feel sorry about what is happening – The Joy of the Lord is your Strength.

So that is the Strength that only the Joy of the Lord can Supply – In terms of Distress, in terms Challenges that keep People going even in times of difficulty.

Now I understand where the twenty four (24) Elders got their Strength from in Revelation 4: 9-10.

When the four (4) Living Creatures give Thanks, Glory and Honour to the One who sits on the Throne crying: Holy, Holy, Holy God Almighy; to the One who was, who is and who is to come.

The Scriptures says that the twenty four (24) Elders will usually fall down for the King of Kings shouting – Thou art Worthy Oh Lord, to receive all Glory, Honour and Power for thou hath created all things for thy Pleasure, they are and they were well created.

Now, that is not the Miracle – The Miracle is that up till now, they are still bowing, they are still rising, they are still falling.

Where did they get that kind of Strength from? I thought that the Scripturew says that they are Elders?

I don’t know how old they are; but whoever God can refer to as Elder in the Heavenly realm is not just seventy (70) Years; he must be very old. That the Scriptures say that they are so old and yet there was Strength that is being supplied from the Presence of the Almighty God that made them to rise, that made them to bow, that made them to fall.

Now, I understand where daddy GO is getting his Strength from – At eighty (80) Years old, the Man is doing Prayer Walk and we are the ones trying to catch up with him. The longer the distance, the faster his legs.

Now I understand that there is a Strength that is being supplied from the Most High, that is being supplied from the Presence of the Lord – It is called “The Joy of the Lord”.

The Strength supplied to an Elder that he can do Lets-Go-A-Fushing everywhere and all manner of Light Up Crusade everywhere.

There are People under the Sound of my Voice or reading now on the Label of DMC – You came here sick but the Joy of the Lord is about to heal you – Amen. You came here attacked, the Joy of the Lord is about to heal you in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen!

It is obvious that there is a Supernatural Strength being supplied from the Presence of the Lord and it is through the Joy of the Lord!

As I begin to Close; the Question now is: HOW DO I BE A PARTAKER OF THIS JOY OF THE LORD?

1. Become an ardent Soul Winner.

Luke 15: 7(a) – I say unto you that likewise there is Joy in Heaven over one Sinner that repent.

Now listen – If you are Privileged to be the one who leads Sinner to Repentance thereby causing Heaven to rejoice. I want to say to you that you can’t become an object of Sorrow here on Earth.

Excuse me sir; they can’t be throwing Party in Heaven over the Soul God help you to win in Heaven and they will not cause your own Joy to be Full.

Twenty four (24) Elders, all the four (4) Living Creatures, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit; they can’t be dancing over that Soul that came through you and you will be in sorrow.

And in case yiu don’t know how the smile of God look like; help me take a look at that Baba (Man – Daddy GO) there – That is how the smile of God look like.

When God smiles on a Man because he became an ardent Soul Winner, this is the repercussions on his Life!

Can I Pray for Somebody under the Sound of my Voice or reading now on the Label of DMC – You have been trusting God for smile over the Fruit of the Womb; you have been trusting God for a smile over your Relationship, you have been trusting God for some smiles over your Destiny; in the Name that is above every other names, before this Weekend is over, Heaven will smile on you – Amen.

Concerning your job, you have been trusting God for some smiles; concerning some sickness, you have been trusting God about your daughter; I say before this Weekend is over, Heaven will smile on you – Amen!

My father-in-the-Lord – Pastor E.A Adeboye is an evidence of the one the Lord has smiled at.

I don’t know who is going to be the Next? – THE DMC FAMILY MEMBERS!

As you join to become an ardent Soul Winnee, the Joy of the Lord will become your Strength – Amen!

There are People under the Sound of my Voice or reading now on the Label of DMC – You are saying: Pastor, they did not give me a Podium, they did not give me a Platform?

That was what I was complaining before until one day that we came for Ordination here at the Redemption Camp and through our Beloved Daddy – Daddy Charles Achonwa. It was as if he knows the thought of my heart.

When we finished the Ordination, he said now that you are Ordained, don’t Struggle. If they give you a Parish, no wahala (Problem); if they didn’t give you, seeing the Souls of Men go to Heaven is your concern; then the whole world is your Parish.

… That was what triggered me!

I am just an “Assistant Accountant” in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) but that Particular word – If the Souls of Men is your concern, the whole world is your Parish.

That was what brought me here – The Souls of Men is my concern – I began to hunt for Souls, I began to Pant after Souls and I have enjoyed some little smile.

Are there People under the Sound of Voice or reading now on the Label of DMC; Heaven will smile on you as you join in the Train of ardent Soul Winners!

2. Fight for your Joy.

Revelations 12: 7-8, the Scriptures says war broke out in Heaven. That is a serious issue.

Revelation 12: 7-8 says:

7. And there was war in Heaven: Michael and his Angels fought against the dragon; and the dragon fought and his Angels,
8. And Prevailed not; neither was their Place found any more in Heaven.

Heaven is a Place I said earlier where God has Capacity and so comfortable to reside.

Don’t look for Heaven in the Blue Sky:

I. If your Life is convenient enough; comfortable that it can create an atmosphere where God can sit; your Life can become Heaven on Earth.

II. If your Marriage is conduisive enough where God will find it so easy to dwell; your Marriage can become Heaven on Earth.

III. If your Church understands the “Atmospheric Condition” of Heaven and they can replicate it in their Services. At that Particular Point, your Church becomes Heaven on Earth.

But I have also noticed that everywhere that looks like Heaven is a “Prospect Target” for devil warfare.

Enemies does not like anywhere that looks like Heaven.

When a Marriage is looking like Heaven, it becomes a target of the warfare of the enemy.

Have you heard the Story before – A war broke out in a family that was enjoying the Joy of the Lord.

The husband said that you Press the toothpaste from the top, you are supposed to Press it from down. The wife said that in my house, we use to Press it from the top. And he said that did your father use toothpaste when he was growing up.

That one said that why did you mention my father?

Till tomorrow, we are still struggling to settle the case – The case has led to Divorce.

Now, the Problem was really not the toothpaste; it was because the devil saw an Heaven in that Particular house and he started the war.

And instead of them fighting the dragon, they were fighting themselves.

Let the Pastors stop fighting themselves but fight the dragons o – The dragon is our “Common Enemy”.

Don’t allow the enemies to take Charge of our house.

The Scriptures says war broke in Heaven. Angel Michael fought the dragon and the Bible says the dragon fought back – Contesting for the Peace, Honour, Majesty, Splendor and Joy in the Heavenly Atmosphere.

The Scriptures says that Angel Michael went ahead to employ some other Angels to fight with him.

But the dragon mobilised some Angels to reciprocate the fight back. But the Scriptures says that they Prevailed not.

They fight until there was no Space for the devil again in their house.

Can I beg Somebody under the Sound of my Voice or reading now on the Label of DMC – You got to put up a fight until there is no Space for the enemies in your Church and father’s house to Prevail.

A “Yeye” (Useless) Woman came to take over your Destiny, take over your husband and you are crying – Put up a fight!

What you don’t fight for, you will fail about it, you will faint about it – Until you fight, the enemy will not surrender!

Because the Scriptures says in Matthew 11:12 – Since the days of John The Baptist, up till now; the Kingdom of God suffereth Violence and only the Violence can take it by Force!

Tell the demon that we are about to take our Nation back, we are about to take our Marriage back, we are about to take the Joy over our children back.

The Scriptures says that the Weapon of our warfare are not carnal but Mighty through God to the Pulling down of Strongholds.

Please Stand on your feet – Hold your neighbour and fight your enemy.

In Jesus Mighty Name we Pray – Amen.

Exodus 32: 17-18 (NLT) Version says:

17. When Joshua heard the boisterous noise of the People shouting below them, he exclaimed to Moses, “It sounds like War in the Camp!

18 But Moses replied, “No, it’s not a Shout of Victory nor the wailing of defeat. I hear the Sound of a Celebration.”

I don’t know what you are hearing – But as far as I am concerned, I hear a Sound of Celebration – Amen!

I don’t know what the devil came with to you tonight; but as far as I am concerned; I hear a Sound of Celebration – Amen!

The enemies thought that we should be weeping in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) by now; but all I could hear is a Sound of Celebration – Amen!

They thought that by now that we will be mourning over my father-in-the-Lord but all I could hear is a Sound of Celebration – Amen

What you hear become your Reality – I hear a Sound of Celebration – Amen!

ALTAR CALL

How can you enjoy this Joy of the Lord if you are not connected to the Lord?

Because it is only the Lord that can give us the kind of Joy that we are talking about.

So, when my father-in-the-Lord make the Altar Call, calling you to come so that you connect or reconnect back in case you have been disconnected – Run to this Altar then like there is Fire on the Mountain.

… And I Promise you that Heaven is about to smile on you.

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, I Pray for everybody under the Sound of my Voice or reading now on the Label of DMC – In this Atmosphere of Celebration, you will come back with your Testimonies; in this Atmosphere of Celebration, Heaven will smile at you.
