OPENING PRAYER
The God of Abraham – That is the Covenant Keeping God; the God of Isaac – The God of Laughter, the God of Multiplication; the God of Jacob – The God of Grace, the God who loves even before we were born, the God of Change; the Almighty God. We Worship You.
We give You all the Glory and Honour for all You have done for us – Thank You for the Salvation of our Souls, Thank You for keeping Your Covenant concerning us. Thank You because we know that our tomorrow will be alright. God accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
Lord God Almighty, as we will see in our Studies Lord, we Pray that You will fulfill all Your Promises concerning us and let our tomorrow be Glorious.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

We are continuing with our Series: “GOING HIGHER – PART 79.
And today, we are looking at: 2 Kings 1: 5-8.
- And when the Messengers turned back unto him, he said unto them, Why are ye now turned back?
- And they said unto him, There came a man up to meet us, and said unto us, Go, turn again unto the King that sent you, and say unto him, Thus saith the LORD, Is it not because there is not a God in Israel, that thou sendest to enquire of Baalzebub the god of Ekron? therefore thou shalt not come down from that bed on which thou art gone up, but shalt surely die.
- And he said unto them, What manner of man was he which came up to meet you, and told you these words?
- And they answered him, He was an hairy man, and girt with a girdle of leather about his loins. And he said, It is Elijah the Tishbite.
You know the Story from where we started Last Week – The King was sick and he sent his Servant to go and find out from an idol whether he will be healed or not. And God spoke to Elijah – Go and tell him: Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are now turning to an idol? You are going to die, you are not going to live.
So, Elijah delivered the Message to his Servant and the Servant returned to the King. And the King said: Why have you come back so quickly? What happened? Then they told him that a Man met us on the way and gave us this Message that we should relate it to you.
He says: What kind of Man is that? And they described him. He says: Ha, it is Elijah, the Tishbite.
There are three (3) Major Questions that People will ask you when they are meeting you for the first time. There are other Questions that may come later but these three (3) Questions are very Crucial.
And you should be able to answer those three (3) Questions today if you have gone this far in this Series.
Question No 1: Who are You?
That is when you will meet Somebody that you have never met before and you want to know: Who are you?
Question No 2: What are you?
What are you? – I am a Teacher or an Engineer or a Preacher.
Question No 3: How are you?
They will ask you those three (3) Questions – Who are you? What are you? How are you?
Later on as you get more acquainted; they may begin to ask:
I. What is your Address?
II. Where do you come from?
III. What can I do for you?
Because the King asked a Question – Who met you on the way?
QUESTION NO 1: WHO ARE YOU?
I hope that your answer will be:
I. I am a Child of God.
And for your information, according to Romans 8: 16-17; I am an Heir of God. I am a “Joint Heir” with Jesus Christ.
Jesus Christ is my Senior Brother, He is the First Born in our family.
II. Not only is Jesus Christ my brother; I am a “Chosen Friend” of Jesus Christ.
In John 15: 14-16; He says that you are my friends. I am not calling you Servants because everything my Father has told me, I have made it available to you. And He said that I have not Chosen you.
I am a “Chosen Friend” of Jesus Christ – That is who I am.
III. I am a Soldier in the Army of Jesus Christ – 2 Timothy 2: 3-4.
I have been Chosen to be in the Army of Jesus Christ.
IV. I am the Light of the world – Matthew 5: 14-16.
In case you don’t know me, I am the Light of the world. And you know what? – My Light is Shinning.
V. Also wherever I go; when Darkness sees me coming, Darkness runs because I am the Light of the world.
And it is written in John 1:5 – The Light shines in Darkness and Darkness cannot overcome it.
… And that is the Fellow you are looking at.
A couple of weeks ago, I went to Preach in a Church (One of our Churches) and I made an Altar Call and People come forward to surrender their lives to Jesus Christ.
Because they were few in Number, and to encourage them; I decided that I will shake hands with each and everyone of them that came forward.
And I kept on shaking hands – God Bless You.
And when it come to the turn of one Particular lady; Oh God she was struggling hard to run away.
The Ushers were saying – Go forward, this is a Great Opportunity but she was running.
When Darkness see Light, there is bound to be a little bit of confrontation.
And those of you who are already True Children of the Living God, that have gone this far with me in this Particular Series; I Pray that from now on, when you are around, Darkness will scatter – Amen!
VI. Then according to Matthew 5:13; I am the Salt of the Earth.
Meaning what? – When I arrive, Joy arrives because Salt is a Seasoner. It makes what is Unpleasant to be Pleasant.
So, if anybody ask you from now on – Who you are? Tell them who you are!
QUESTION NO 2: WHAT ARE YOU?
Because who are you is different from what are you!
Who are you wants to know your name while what you are wants to know what is it that you do? What can you do?
If you say that you are a Teacher, it means that you can teach; if you say I am an Engineer, means that you can do some Constructions; I am a Doctor means you can aid the Healing of the Sick; I am a Preacher – Hopefully if you are truly a Preacher, you can Preach.
I said “Hopefully” because some Preacher needs to be Preached to!
What are you? – You can tell them that:
I. I am More Than a Conqueror – Romans 8:37.
How do you know that you are More Than a Conqueror?
Because I am a Beloved of the Lord.
And according to Romans 8:37; because God loves me; I am More Than a Conqueror.
I am not just an “Ordinary Soldier” of Christ, I am not the kind of Soldier that will run from battle. I have even won before I fight – I am More Than a Conqueror.
II. I am the Temple of the Holy Spirit.
1 Corinthians 3:16 made it abundantly clear that: I am the Temple of the Holy Spirit; the Holy Spirit lives in me.
Maybe if you want to know, that is why I live Holy – Holiness is what I do.
Why? – Because 1 Corinthians 3:17 made it abundantly clear to me – If I defy the Temple of the Holy Spirit, God will destroy me.
It didn’t say that if I defy the Temple of the Holy Spirit, He will Pact me on the Head and say: Well done boy, my Grace will cover it all.
He warns me that – If you don’t want to be destroyed, then don’t defy my Temple.
III. Tell them according to 2 Corinthians 4: 6-7 – I am a Divine Treasure.
You may see my Earthen Vessel, you can see my Body but I have a Treasure within this Earthen Vessel, I am a Divine Treasure, I am Precious to God.
And tell whoever is asking you – What are you? Tell him that in case you don’t know why I am the Treasure of the Lord, it is because the Greater One dwells in me. I may look small to you but the Overcomer of the world is dwelling in me.
1 John 4:4 says: Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because Greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
It might interest you to know that if you make these kind of Declarations, they may want to check you out to find out if you are truly who you say you are or what you say you are!
I remembered years ago in my first visit to South Korea. Many People came from all over the world to attend Yonggi Cho’s Ministers’ Conference. At that time, the Church was the biggest in the whole world and the whole world wanted to find out how.
And as we are on Break and we are all eating the little snacks we have; one Man just came to me and say: Who are you? And I told him that I have a PhD in Mathematics and I am a Lecturer at the University.
I didn’t know that he himself was an Engineer. But he looked at me and say: You, a Mathematician? I said Yes sir. You have a PhD in Mathematics? I said Yes sir.
The next thing is that he took his Program and at the back of the Program which was Plain, he drew something – A little bit of Calculus and said: Integrate.
I looked at him and laughed. He said: Why are you laughing ? I said that what you are asking me to Integrate you don’t put the Limits.
He looked at me and shook his Head and said: You don’t need to worry anymore.
DMC NOTES: In Mathematics, Integration is a method of adding or summing up the Parts to find the Whole. It is a Reverse Process of Differentiation, where we reduce the functions into Parts. This Method is used to find the Summation under a vast Scale.
Somebody may ask you to Prove that you are a Soldier of Christ – Be ready at anytime to say that you are the Beloved of God. You say that the Greater One is dwelling in you.
They may tell you that I have a Problem – Don’t run away. Pray in the Name that is above every other names and a Miracle will happen.
God loves to Prove Himself in situations like that but you must be confident that you are what you say you are.
IV. They may ask you: What are you? Tell them that I am the Power House of God.
Acts 1:8 makes it abundantly clear – But ye shall receive Power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you.
If you have been Baptised in the Holy Spirit, you are the Power House of God and if you have not been Baptised in the Holy Spirit, I encourage you today to take the Baptism in the Holy Spirit and you will become a Power House of God.
You may look Ordinary – It doesn’t matter. What is important is: What is dwelling in you!
V. And of course, if you are the Power House of God, you must also be able to tell everyone loud and clear that I am a Witness for Christ.
Because the latter Part of Acts 1:8 says: And ye shall be Witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the Uttermost Part of the Earth.
In other words, let him know – Just give me a Minute and I will tell you about the One who is called the Lord Jesus Christ.
QUESTION NO 3: HOW ARE YOU?
Because after you have introduced yourself and you have told them what you are and what you can do. The next thing that anyone will want to say Politely is: How are you?
I. Don’t just say casually – I am okay. Let them know how okay is your okay.
When you say Fine, you are telling them that Physically, I’m Healthy, I am Strong, I am whole.
1 Peter 2:24 says: By His Stripes you are Healed – Not going to be Healed but you are already Healed.
II. Let them know that you are a Free Man and you are Free and Free Indeed.
John 8:32 and 36
- And ye shall know the Truth, and the Truth shall make you free.
- If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.
III. Let them know that you are Strong and you are Capable.
Philippians 4:13 made it abundantly clear – You can do all things through Christ that Strengthens me.
Even when you are feeling weak, remember that the Bible says: Let the weak says I am Strong.
I remembered one daughter of mine – When I say: How are you? Why are you calling me? She will say: Daddy, I want you to Pray for me. Well, what is the Problem? She will say: I am Strong.
So, I know the Strong that she is saying is not exactly that of a Boxer that will enter the Ring – But let the Weak say I am Strong.
You see because, whatever God hears you say, that is what He will do for you!
IV. Don’t say that the situation in the Country – The Economy is bad, I am Broke. Never let that Proceed from your mouth. Tell them I am Rich.
2 Corinthians 8:9 made it abundantly clear: By His Poverty, you have been made Rich.
I remembered years ago in the Late 1970’s and early 1980’s; whenever I go to America to attend Kenneth Hagin Camp Meeting.
Americans will come to me when they heard about what God is doing in Nigeria – And how can we help you? By that, they are hoping maybe I will say: Well, if you can give me some Dollars that may be a Good one.
I always say to them: Come and see what God is doing so that your own Vision may be enlarged.
Thank God for the Almighty God who put those words in my mouth in those days has brought it to Pass – They can come and see. Because the God that I served, the God you served is not a Beggar. He is More Than Sufficient.
In those days when I will say: Come and See, we have to look for Places where we can eat Lunch for three dollars ($3). If it is more than that, we can’t cope because we didn’t have the money but we have God. And our God is More Than Sufficient.
V. And finally, if anybody ask you – How are you? Tell them that I have a Glorious tomorrow.
Colossians 1:27 says: Christ in you, the Hope of Glory.
If Christ is dwelling in you, your tomorrow is Glorious!
I have said it again and again that: My tomorrow will be alright. It doesn’t matter the situation you are Passing through now – Child of God, your tomorrow will be alright.
ALTAR CALL
That is why I want to remind those of you who are yet to be Born Again – You need to give your Life to Jesus Christ so that when they ask you:
I. Who are you? – You will be able to say: I am a Child of God.
II. What are you? – I am More Than a Conqueror.
III. How are you? – I have a Glorious Tomorrow.
I will remind you of the Fellow who came to us and said: Sir, I heard that you are a Prophet. I said: No, I am not a Prophet but a Pastor.
Yes, but I heard that whatever you say to God come to Pass. I said Yes, God has been Faithful.
Can you tell me my Future? I said that is an easy thing.
So I asked him a Question: Are you Born Again? He said No.
I said: Ha, your Future will be terrible.
He said: How do you know? You have not even Prayed, you don’t even know my name.
I said that it is written in Isaiah 3:11 – Woe to the Wicked, it shall be ill with him.
You are not Born Again, your Future is terrible.
But suppose that I have said that I am a Child of God and I’m Born Again?
I said: Ha, then I can tell you that your tomorrow will be Glorious.
How do you know?
It is also in the Scriptures in Isaiah 3:10 – Say ye to the Righteous, it shall be well with him.
You want your Future to be Glorious and you have not yet given your Life to Jesus Christ? All you need to do is to surrender to Him today and you can then boast that I am a Child of God, I am More Than a Conqueror, I am the Light of the world, I am the Salt of the Earth, I can do all things through Christ that Strengthens me and my Future is Glorious!
… That is what is waiting for you!
So, if you will bow your Head now and cry to Jesus Christ for Salvation; I will join you in Prayer – He will save your Soul and your Story will Change and you will have a Brand New Beginning.
Shall we Pray – Cry to Him and ask Him to Please save your Soul and receive you into the Family of God and all things will Change for the better for you.
Let Us Pray!
PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God, I want to Thank You once again for Your Words. I want to Thank You for all the benefits of being a Child of the Living God.
As for all these People who are surrendering their lives to You today; Father Please receive them, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins, receive them into the Family of God Lord and let them have a Brand New Beginning.
From now on, let them be able to Proudly say that I am a Child of God, I am the Temple of the Holy Spirit, I am More Than a Conqueror and my Future will be alright and let them serve You till the end.
And for all Your Children who are already in You, I Pray Lord God Almighty that from now on, they will be able to lift up their Heads high and say: I am a Child of God, Oh the Lord Jesus Christ is my Elder Brother, I am a Soldier of Christ, I am the Light of the world, I am the Salt of the Earth.
And Lord God Almighty, I Pray that everything that can contradict any of these assertions in their lives, You will banish away today.
Thank You my Father and my God. For in Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Now, I rejoice again with those of you who has given your Life to Jesus Christ. And I want to assure you that from now on, by God’s Grace I will be Praying for you.
