Go ahead and lift your two (2) hands and begin to bless the Name of the Lord this morning.

I want you to Praise the God of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Praise the God of Divine Encounter. Praise the God of Breakthroughs, Praise Him!

Glorify Him, Honour Him, Adore Him, this morning. Blessed be the Name of the Lord!

OPENING PRAYER

The God of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – The God of Covenant! The Mighty One of Israel, the One Who visited us for a week – Giving us our Breakthroughs on all Sides.

The One who was, and is, and is to come. The One who does Great Things, the One who does Marvellous Things; the El-Shaddai.

We honour You this morning and we say, Good Morning Most High God.

We are Grateful for the Night hours; We are Grateful for waking us up in Health, and for bringing us into Your Presence,

Father, accept our Worship and Thanks in the Name of Jesus.

God of Divine Encounter, we have come that You may encounter us – In a way that is Uncommon, encounter everyone today, in Jesus’ Name!

Precious Spirit of God, I ask that You take over from the hands of man and just Glorify Jesus here this morning.

Thank You for having done so! At the end Lord Jesus, take all the Glory.

In Jesus’ Precious Name we Pray – Amen!

And everyone says – AMEN!

Put your hands together for the Jesus. And let us welcome one (1) or two (2) Persons around us to God’s Presence this morning; and tell him or her: Expect a Divine Encounter.

… And it shall be so, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

I like to honour our esteemed Father-in-the-Lord and our Mother-in-Israel. And to Thank God for their lives, and to Thank and Praise the God in their lives.

And I want to express our Gratitude for this awesome Privilege to Stand on this exalted Altar to take this Divine Encounter.

Daddy, we are Grateful, Mummy, we are Grateful.

Welcome to a Great moment of your Life!

Can I hear your Amen to that – AMEN!

As I was meditating in God’s Presence concerning this Meeting, I began to have a Strong feeling that this cannot be an Ordinary Divine Encounter;

Because it is coming immediately after the God of Breakthroughs has met with us.

So I began to trust God, not just for a Word, but for the Word that is meant for this hour – As People are just coming back from a Power Packed Time in God’s Presence at the RCCG Special Holy Ghost Service 2023

And the Word is: “SHOULD GOD GET YOUR ATTENTION?”

So this morning, I will like you to Please, Pay attention as God has something to say to you.

Tell someone by your side: Please, pay attention!

I take my Bible Text from Isaiah 6:8-9:

8 Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then I said, Here am I; send me.

9 And he said, Go, and tell these people, Hear ye indeed, but understand not; and see ye indeed, but perceive not.

One of the Greatest Problems of God with His People is to be able to get their attention.

However, once God can get your attention, you can’t escape having a Divine Encounter.

And the more He is able to do that, the more Divine Encounters you cannot escape!

The matter about being able to get the attention of His People, matters so much to God;

I. Because, there is so much He wants to do in us and through us;

II. There are Incredible Heights of Blessings He desires to take us;

III. There are ways Unimaginable He wants to use you and I.

But God seems to be having lots of issues with getting our attention. And to show how this issue masters indeed to God;

1. In the Old Testament, it took using a bush that was burning (but that was not consume) to get the attention of Moses;

When God needed to use him in an Uncommon way to liberate His People from Egypt, after spending four hundred and thirty (430) years – Mostly spent in harrowing experience.

Exodus 3:3-4 says: And Moses said, I will now turn aside, and see this great sight, why the bush is not burnt. And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called unto him out of the midst of the bush, and said, Moses, Moses. And he said, Here I am.

… God had to use this experience to get the attention of Moses.

And we are told, “…And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see,” God spoke to him – For the work He had for Moses.

I Pray that after this Divine Encounter, Someone that is listening here today or reading now on the Label of DMC, God will begin to get your attention – Amen.

2. It took putting Prophet Jonah in the belly of a big fish, and keeping him there for three (3) days and three (3) nights for God to really get his attention.

All that happened before then: the running away, being in a ship – God still had not gotten the attention of Jonah.

It took God putting him in the belly of a big fish; asking a fish to swallow him up but not to digest him. And he found himself there for three (3) days and three (3) nights.

That was when finally, God got his attention!

You can Study that Story in Jonah Chapters 1, 2 and 3.

By the end of Chapter 1, he found himself inside that whale (the big fish). In Chapter 2 he began to repent, he began to talk to God. Finally, God got his attention.

And by Chapter 3, when God now called him and said, “go to Nineveh” … Please, read the Book of Jonah to understand the Story.

By then Jonah dare not do anything else than to Proceed to do what God said; because God really got his attention.

During the Special Holy Ghost Service that just ended, there was one of the Testimonies that came from a Couple that had been waiting on the Lord for a long time.

And they made reference to a Hymn that was sung some times back; and that registered in a different way in their heart. By which they began to be on their way to clinching their Divine Encounter.

They spoke to us about a Stanza in that Hymn that says:

“Ponder anew
What the Almighty can do
Who with His love
Doth befriend thee.”

As I was in God’s Presence getting ready for this Meeting, my attention was drawn to the Hymn again. It was brought back to my Spirit Man.

And this morning, I want you as you listen: “Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, Who with His Love doth befriend thee.”

And when that Song first came to me, I thought the last line of that Hymn stanza was saying, “If” with His Love doth befriend thee.

But by the time I looked at the Hymn again closely, the last line the that Particular Stanza is actually “Who” with His Love doth befriend thee.

Meaning that it’s not that He is just going to befriend you and I (who are His Children) He has actually befriended us.

It says: “Who with His Love doth befriend thee.”

In John 15:15 it is written: Henceforth I call you not Servants; for the Servant knoweth not what his Lord doeth: but I have called you friends; for all things that I have heard of my Father I have made known unto you.

As you listen this morning or read now on the Label of DMC: “Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, Who with His Love doth befriend thee.”

The issue is, yes He has befriended us; but He has been having it very difficult getting our attention. It’s like you have a Lover – Yes you are Lovers, but he has been having it tough getting your attention.

This is simply because there is a barrier that keeps getting in the way of God getting our attention.

For example, in our Bible Text today – Isaiah 6:8-9; God was finally, able to get the attention of Prophet Isaiah for what He needed to use him for.

After the barrier of getting in the way was removed. The barrier of sin and filth which you could read in Isaiah 6:1-7. There you find the Process undertaken in getting that barrier out of the way.

… Until then, God couldn’t get his attention for the work He had for prophet Isaiah.

After Verse 7, what followed next was our Bible Text (Isaiah 6:8-9). That was when God got his attention: after the barrier had been removed.

Sin, according to Isiah 59:1-4, has always been and will always be a barrier to God being able to get the attention of those He had befriended.

It will surprise you that even in death, Jesus Christ still sought to get the attention of Lazarus whom He loved, whom He befriended but that death had tried to take away.

As far as Jesus Christ is concerned, death is not the end of those He loves and has befriended.

That is why in John 11:25 Jesus said unto her, I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live.

For those whom Jesus has befriended, death is not necessarily the end of the road.

And so, may I Prophesy to someone this Morning or reading now on the Label of DMC that: As a result of today’s Divine Encounter, every Good Thing that might have died in your Life will jump back to Life – Amen.

For Jesus Christ to get the attention of Lazarus – Even in his death state, the barrier Standing between them had to go!

Of course, according to John 5:28, the dead is able to hear His Voice.

And it will interest you to know that death was not the barrier Standing between Jesus Christ and Lazarus in the Grave – It was the Stone covering the tomb where he was laid.

That’s the reason when Jesus Christ got to the tomb of Lazarus, the first Statement He uttered was, “take away the Stone.”

John 11:39, Jesus said, Take ye away the Stone. Martha, the Sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.

The Resurrection and the Life got there, yes Lazarus had been dead four (4) days (rotten). But all those did not matter to Jesus Christ. All those were not barriers to Jesus Christ for getting Lazarus back to Life.

But there was a barrier – A stone. He said, “take away the Stone!”

Should that Stone remain there, there would have been no Divine Encounter for Lazarus, to bring him back from death.

But once the barrier (The Stone) was taken away and Jesus gave the shout in John 11:43, Lazarus came forth! Death immediately heard His voice and vomited Lazarus – Jesus’ friend. Lazarus himself heard His voice and jerked back to Life!

It was a Divine Encounter – It was an Encounter that Produced the Uncommon. An Encounter that made Jesus’ Name become more famous as the Testimony of Lazarus (as long as He lives) continues to draw People to Jesus Christ.

May I Pronounce this Morning that by the reason of today’s Programme, I see you having a Divine Encounter that will announce Jesus Christ – Amen!

I see you having a Divine Encounter that will make Jesus Christ more famous in your City, in your Town, in your Village, in your Nation, and the Nations of the world – Amen!

I see you experiencing the Uncommon in the Marketplace, in your Finances, in your Ministry, and in all that concerns you, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

Our Topic is: Should God get your Attention?

Meaning, if only you can constantly put yourself in the State or Position that can make it Possible for God to get your attention; if only!

Beloved, I need to let you know this – it doesn’t add up at all that you are befriended by God and you are neck deep in debt year after year.

Neither does it add up that He has befriended you and you remained Single and waiting to be married.

And you have been like that for twenty (20), thirty (30) years and nothing has happened.

It doesn’t add up!

SONG:

What the Almighty can do
Who with His Love

Once He is able to get your attention – Provided you are one of those He has befriended; then the following can begin to be expected:

And we will look at Two (2) of such things because of our time:

1. God will begin to nudge your Heart to do what is Uncommon.

Because He already has gotten your attention, He will begin to nudge your Heart to do what is Uncommon.

And when this happens, oftentimes it is because He wants to at th end, do what is Uncommon in your Life. He wants to take you to Uncommon Heights, maybe in your finances.

For example, you know the Story in 1 Kings 3:4-13 – At that Point in the Life of Solomon, he hasn’t started acquiring wives all about. And God could still get his attention. And so it was easy for God to nudge his Heart to give a thousand burnt Offerings at a go!

And we know what followed: he became the richest King that ever lived. Because he was really set up: God wanted to do something in his Life that would be Uncommon. God wanted to take him to Uncommon Heights in riches. And so He came to nudge his Heart.

Let someone say – “Nudged his Heart!”

He nudged his Heart and that made it Possible for Solomon to do what he did. And he was doing it with Joy.

When God nudges your Heart, what you are doing is not done in agony but in Joy because you know, “this is God impressing this in my Heart.”

2. It will not also be Uncommon for God to come to you in your Dreams:

To give a Solution to a serious Problem in your workplace or Nation: because now, He could get your attention.

And when this happens, oftentimes it is to catapult you into Prominence or turn you suddenly into a Celebrity.

… I will share the Story of a brother, and it will be time to Pray.

This brother was our First Fruit when we went to start The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Dallas (1994). And so we got close.

He worked in an Oil Company, and so they were sending him to Texas on “Cross Postings”.

So, in one is his “Cross Postings” he was sent to Houston Texas – He is a Geologist by Profession.

And so this time came in his Department, they were Prospecting in a Particular Location. And they did everything that the ‘Books’ told them; that ‘Experience’ informed them and they concluded, “there is no Oil in this Location.”

As that was going on, this brother slept and God appeared to him on his Dream. And there was a Screen that appeared before him in his Dream. And God began to Plot for him, the Graph that will enable them to hit Oil at that same Location.

… Go ahead and clap for the God of Divine Encounter!

So he woke up, remembered everything. And he went to his Bosses at work and told them, “Sirs, there is Oil in this Location don’t let us get away from here.”

They looked at him because he was the only African, every other Person are White Persons.

And they said, Boy, if it is Knowledge, we have more than you. If it is experience, we have more than you. We’ve expended enough of energy and resources, there is no Oil here!

You see, he couldn’t be telling them that God appeared to him and was Plotting a Graph for him – They would think that something has gone wrong with his head.

But he kept telling them, “would you Please give me a Chance? I am convinced more than ever before that there is Oil in this Location.”

So, when he kept insisting they said alright, go ahead!

He went to the Drawing Board and Plotted the Graph exactly the way God Plotted it for him in his Dream; took it back to his Bosses and said, “let us work by this Graph and go again and access Oil in this Location.”

… They did, and they hit Oil – Halleluyah!

From that moment, that Boy became a Celebrity in that Organization.

They were like, “wait a Minute, where did you get that Knowledge you this Small Boy?

In everything we are more than you – Where did you get that Knowledge?

When they take him to Nigeria, they won’t let him be in Nigeria for more than few Months; and they would have brought him back to the United States again.

He was a Celebrity!

… If only He gets your attention.

We are told in Psalms 119: 99-100 – I have more Understanding than all my Teachers: for thy Testimonies are my Meditation. I Understand more than the Ancients, because I keep your Precepts.

I see someone leaving this Meeting to begin to deliver “Witty Inventions” – Amen!

Witty Inventions that will solve many Problems of Humanity and will shoot you into Great Prominence – Amen!

But Please, remember – The key is putting yourself in the Position where Jesus Christ can get your attention at any Point in time.

And this will take removing every barrier of cutting corners in the name of being Smart; every barrier of Bitterness, Unforgiveness, Rancour, and causing disunity among Brethren.

Every barrier of Life of filthiness and sin, injustice, and corruption – Take away every barrier!

This year (2023); we have received a Word from our father-in-the-Lord that Finances will begin to Change hands. It is a wonderful year; and that would be the reason God is bringing this Word to you today.

Leave this Meeting to Position yourself, put yourself in the Position where Jesus Christ can get your attention at any Point in time and you will see just in the next six (6) Months what would have happened to you.

In the next six (6) Months, you would look at yourself and say, Wooow!

Such that year 2023 will be the best year you have ever seen and lived- Amen!

… If you believe I am speaking to you, let your Amen be the loudest – AMEN!

May I ask that you Please rise with me and let us Pray!

TWO (2) PRAYERS POINTS:

1. You will say Father, from now on, I will put myself in the State where You can get my attention whenever You want.

… Go ahead and talk to Him.

In Jesus’ Precious Name we have Prayed – Amen.

2. Father, I hereby remove every Obstacles that can get in the way.

Go ahead and talk to Him – Every Obstacles that you can think about, begin to evict them from your Life.

There is someone, take away the Stone of Forgiveness. Go and Restitute, forgive that fellow because that will create a barrier from Jesus getting your attention. Roll away that barrier of Unforgiveness.

You have been causing disunity among Brethren, stop it today!

Ponder anew what the Almighty can do, if He can get your attention.

Thank You Father! In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

ALTAR CALL:

If you are yet to give your Heart to Jesus Christ truly. I am not saying, if you have not given Jesus Christ your head but your Heart.

If you have not given your Heart to Jesus Christ, it is not Possible that you will be in the Group of those He befriends.

You can however, do something about this today, and this morning or wherever you are reading this message now on the Label of DMC.

So, if you want to give your Heart to Jesus Christ, do so Now!

His Word says “rend your Heart” not your Garment. Then this will be your beginning of Divine Encounter.

If you are truly ready for a Divine Encounter with Jesus Christ; begin to talk to the Lord. Confess you are a Sinner, repent of your sins and ask Jesus Christ to forgive you.

Thank You Father! In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

Father, we give Thanks.

Thank You for Your Word. Thank You for being here to encounter lives (both onsite and online). Accept our Thanks, in Jesus’ Name!

Lord, I Pray for everyone surrendering his or her Life truly to Jesus Christ today:

Your Words says those who come to You, You will in no wise cast away.

Please forgive them their sins, save their Souls, wash them Clean in Your Blood, write their names in the Book of Life, give them assurances of Salvation. Use them Mightily to Your Glory.

And Please Lord, uphold them to the very end.

Thank You, for having done so.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

We want to say Congratulations to those of you who have just surrendered your Life, for the Salvation of your Soul.

Our father-in-the-Lord will like to Pray for you from now on.

THANKSGIVING OFFERING

Now we want to give God an Offering.

Mind you, this is coming after you have done some very Specific Operations this morning – Of responding to the Word you’ve heard, of Praying, of taking away every barrier, so that Jesus Christ can begin to have your attention.

So, before you rush to give, just listen – He might want to nudge your Heart.

Because I am trusting God that from this Divine Encounter, something amazing will begin to happen in your Finances – Amen.

He want to nudge your Heart as to what to Give. And once you know what to Give, then put it together – Prepare it and it will be time to rise and drop that Offering rejoicing.

SPECIAL DIVINE ENCOUNTER PRAYER

Before we Pray, if you have any Special Request; something burning in your Heart that you want God to do for you.

I told you when we started that it was impressed upon my Heart that this Divine Encounter won’t be an Ordinary One.

So, if you have something burning in your Heart, that only God can do, I’m going to give you two (2) Minutes to Present it before Him.

Now that He could get your attention it would be easy for Him to answer your Prayers.

In two (2) Minutes talk to the Lord at this very Crucial Hour, in this year 2023.

… Begin to bring your Prayers to a Close!

The Almighty, the One Who says it and does it. the One Who Pronounces and it is established, the One who declares and it’s done;

We hallow Your Name this morning.

We Praise You for the beauty of Your Holiness. Father, receive our Worship, in the Name of Jesus.

Father, Your People are before You, Placing a Demand on Your Ability to do all things – Particularly at this very important Divine Encounter;

Most High God, I join my Faith with theirs: starting from this moment, O God, concerning them and their Requests, let there be a Shift!

Baba (Father), let there be a Shift.

Answer all Prayers by Fire, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Before the Sun rises tomorrow, in these lives and in these homes, let Testimonies start, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

In all these lives, let things of amazement and Uncommon Things happen, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

In all our lives, let us begin to experience the Unusual, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

We Present our Offerings, O God, sanctify the Offerings. Use this Offering for Your Glory.

I declare concerning every Giver, Lack will be a Stranger to you!

Starting from this Divine Encounter, in the Name of Jesus Christ, I Prophesy on this exalted Altar:

You will leave here to move from Glory to Glory! You will move from Riches to Riches; from Wealth to Wealth, in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Before you die, your world will Celebrate you!

It is done!

In Jesus’ Name I have Prayed – Amen!
