TOPIC: SENSITISATION ON SECURITY CONSCIOUSNESS

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!! Hallelujah!!!
We just want to Thank Daddy GO and Mummy GO and the Leadership of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) for taking Security so seriously.
That is why this Week is the RCCG Security Week.
And we are Grateful for the opportunity to Stand here and just highlight on what we should be doing going forward.
Let me just say that I am the Mission Security Adviser – And it is in that Capacity that I am Standing here.
Now, I want to say that God is interested in Security!
When God was doing Creation and Creating everything; He created Angels.
And a Component of the Angels were assigned to Security Duties – Headed by Arch Angel Michael.
Security is God’s Concern.
Infact the Bible refers to God as a Man of War – Exodus 15:3.
So, because God is interested in Security, then we too should be interested in Security.
The First Mandate to Adam; incorporated within it is Security Component.
When God was talking about Dominion in Genesis 1:28 – Dominion by its very Nature cannot happen without Kinetic Power (DMC NOTES: Kinetic Power is the energy that keeps a body in Motion).
And God’s Kinetic Power is Dunamis (DMC NOTES: In Greek, “Dunamis” means Power, Force, or Ability, Particularly in the context of the Bible. It’s often used to describe the Power God exerts or imparts, including Miraculous Power).
So, God wants us to be Security Conscious – And so, we are trying to Sensitise you to be Security Conscious.
When Nehemiah was rebuilding the Wall with a Team, we understand in Nehemiah 4:17 that a Component of the Workforce was Dedicated to Watching Security.
So, even as we Conduct our Services, even as we conduct our Programs; let us be Security Conscious!
In 1 Peter 5:8; the Bible tells us that we should be Sober and Vigilant.
Why? Because we have an Enemy!
So, as you go back, in whatever Hierarchy of Leadership that you are in; I want you to be Security Conscious.
Infact, be the Leader of your Security Team.
If you don’t have a Security Team, set it up immediately.
But let me say this: The RCCG Security Team is not a Fighting Force.
It is designed for us to Shape a Worship Place in such a way that:
☆ When People Park their Vehicles, they aren’t thinking about the Vehicles.
☆ When they bring their Children to Church, they are not thinking about whether the Children will be Kidnapped or not.
So, our job is to create an Environment that is Conduisive for Worship!
Our Main Security is the Almighty God Himself.
And He is such that when Fighting is required, He will fight for us!
In Numbers 14:14; He said that I will fight for you and you will hold your Peace.
So, we must be Security Conscious.
When you get back to your Base, Please create what we call an Awareness – Have what we called a “Situational Awareness”:
☆ Know the Security Dynamics within your Area of Responsibility.
☆ Know the kind of Security Challenges that are Prevalent in that Area.
So that you can come up with Strategies to Counter and Mitigate the impact of this Security Challenges.
Please, let everybody be Security Conscious as we have this Responsibility to ourselves to be Security Conscious.
The Bible says that Horses are Prepared for Battle but Victory is for the Lord – Proverbs 21:31.
That doesn’t mean that Horses will not be Prepared.
And that means that:
☆ Where there is need to put Gate – Put a Gate.
☆ Where you need to Post Guards – Post Guards.
☆ Where you need to put CCTV Cameras – Put CCTV Cameras.
DMC NOTES: CCTV means: Closed Circuit Television – A Video Surveillance System where Camera transmits Signals to Specific Location (Monitor or Recording Device) for Security Monitoring Purposes.
☆ Where you need to work with State Security Organs (Police, Civil Defence Corps) – Work with them.
Let’s Prepare because we are in the Last Days and our Enemies are desperate.
Stay Alert – Do everything you are supposed to do to Safeguard yourself.
☆ When you finish Service and going Home – Be Security Conscious.
☆ When you are coming to Church – Be Security Conscious.
☆ Protect your Entrance and Exit Points with People who can watch.
☆ Restrict Access to some Areas that are Sensitive.
☆ Maintain Vigilance.
☆ Don’t disclose Information that can put you in harms away from the Pulpit.
Our Duty is to tell you because God’s Security Architecture has you in Mind and there is a Role you must Play.
It is everybody Business:
☆ If you see something – Say something.
☆ If you need to give Information – Give Information.
We will Worship and our Lord will Protect us.
But we will do that which is within our Purview to do.
And the Lord will bless us!
Let’s us Pray!
Say: Father, Please defend us, Protect us and Watch over us until Jesus Christ Returns.
None of us shall be Lost, none of us shall be Consumed and none of us shall be harmed.
The Lord will Watch over us.
The Lord will fight for us and we shall hold our Peace.
