OPENING PRAYER
Ancient of Days, we give You all Glory, we give You all Honour, we give You all Adoration.
Thank You for Praying with us in the Prayer Walk.
Thank You because we know that all our Prayers are already answered.
Accept our Worship, in Jesus’ Name.
Father, Please continue with us now; and let Your Name be Glorified.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

I enjoyed my own.
As we said, those who are already seventy (70), their own Prayer is Local Calls.
Those of us who are over eighty (80), our own Call is never put on hold. Because many of us are already in the Waiting Lounge.
Glory be to God!
Immediately after this Talk, we would be having a Lecture from the Representative of PFN:
To talk to us on the State of the Nation; and our Roles as children of God. What we can do so that Nigeria would become better.
So my Talk this Morning would be brief, to give him room.
Our Theme, as you know very well is, The Overcomers. And our Main Bible Text is 1 John 4:4:
Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.
… I have already examined that Passage on Thursday and yesterday.
Yesterday we rounded up by saying;
Under no circumstance must we allow Him to say bye bye to us.
And we believe very firmly, that those who think they stand need to take heed, lest they fall. (DMC NOTES: 1 Corinthians 12:10).
We believe very firmly that the One who said we are seated in Heavenly Places with Christ Jesus, is also the One who said He likes dwelling in us.
This Morning (Day 3 Morning Session), we want to look at: “How do we make Him Comfortable when He dwells in us?”
Our Topic therefore this morning is: “Making Him Stay”.
And the Bible Text for that is Amos 3:3 – Can two walk together, except they be agreed?
It is a Question: How can two walk together except they be agreed?
How can you expect Him to abide in You unless the two of you are in Total Agreement.
I had a friend (of Blessed Memory) who said; Daddy, Please visit me in my house, even if it’s only ten to fifteen Minutes – Let it be in my CV that you visited me.
Since we were friends, I agreed.
I arrived at a time we agreed; he was already playing a Tape of one of my Ewi – As it was playing, I completely relaxed.
Before that one finished, he made sure the second Tape is ready.
He also made available Pounded Yam with combination okro soup, Bush Meat and all of that.
By the time I was leaving, three (3) hours were gone; because he knew what to do to keep me with him!
WHAT DO I DO TO KEEP GOD PERMANENTLY WITH ME?
Apart from Holiness and Purity which we have Studied, you need to have FAITH.
Hebrews 11:6 – But without Faith, it is impossible to Please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a Rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.
You want to Please Him? Have Faith!
1 John 5:4 says, For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the Victory that overcometh the world, even our Faith.
God is a God of Faith.
Hebrews 11:13 says, These all died in Faith, not having received the Promises, but having seen them afar off, and were Persuaded of them, and embraced them, and confessed that they were Strangers and Pilgrims on the Earth.
He made everything out of nothing – When God created the Heaven and the Earth He was demonstrating Faith out of Nothing.
If you find Him quarrelling with His Disciples, it is always because of their lack of Faith.
In John 11:35 – Jesus wept!
Why did He weep in the Story of Lazarus when He knew He was going to wake him up?
He wept because the People He taught did not believe Him.
John 11:21 says, Then said Martha unto Jesus, Lord, if thou hadst been here, my brother had not died.
In John 11:25, Jesus said unto her, I am the Resurrection, and the Life: he that believeth in me, though he were dead, yet shall he live:
And in John 11:39 Jesus said, Take ye away the stone. Martha, the sister of him that was dead, saith unto him, Lord, by this time he stinketh: for he hath been dead four days.
Jesus saith unto her, Said I not unto thee, that, if thou wouldest believe, thou shouldest see the Glory of God? (DMC NOTES: John 11:40).
I am Praying for everyone of you, that you will never cause Jesus to weep – Amen.
WHY MUST WE BELIEVE HIM?
- He is Holy:
Holy People don’t lie.
The Bible says, “For without are liars…”
And Numbers 23:19 says, God is not a Man, that he should lie; neither the Son of Man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?
Romans 3:4 also says, God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be Justified in thy sayings, and mightest Overcome when thou art judged.
John 14:6 ,Jesus saith unto him, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
He is saying here, I am not just the One who tells Truth; I am the Truth.
- He is Constant:
Malachi 3:6 says, For I am the LORD, I Change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.
Hebrews 13:8, Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.
Whatever He has done be, He will do again.
- He is no respecter of Persons:
Acts 10:34-35, Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, Of a truth I Perceive that God is no respecter of Persons: But in every Nation he that feareth him, and worketh Righteousness, is accepted with him.
He doesn’t love the Black more than the White; and He doesn’t love the White more than the Black – He is no respecter of Persons.
So whatever He did for A, He is ready to do it for B.
When I was going for my own Prayer Walk, I heard somebody crying to God as I was passing by: “O God of Adeboye, everything You’ve done for Pastor Adeboye, You must do it for me.”
I wished I could stop.
… But God will answer that Prayer!
Be Prepared to do something extra; because uneasy lies the head that wears the Crown – But it is a correct Prayer.
I’ve told you before; the first time I went to America to attend Kenneth Hagin Camp Meeting, I saw Miracles happening raw! In my Presence I saw the Lame walk, and the Blind see.
On my way back, in the Plane, I said to the Lord – Thank God He is my Father, and He loves me.
I said Daddy, if I get back home and You don’t Perform all the Miracles I saw you do in America, I will say You are a Racist – I will tell them.
He would have killed me in the Plane, but He knew it wasn’t Pride – I was Pouring out my heart to my Father:
I said, I am going home, if I don’t see You Perform same Miracles I will say You love the White more than the Black.
Glory be to God, He is no respecter of Persons.
I have always Prayed that all of you my children will be Greater than I; and it will surely come to Pass – Amen!
The Leper in Matthew 8:1-3 came to Jesus: When he was come down from the Mountain, great Multitudes followed him. And, behold, there came a Leper and Worshipped him, saying, Lord, if thou wilt, thou canst make me Clean. And Jesus put forth his hand, and touched him, saying, I will; be thou Clean. And immediately his Leprosy was Cleansed.
Jesus said, I will show you that I am Willing. And I know if you believe, all things are Possible.
God will Prove it to you today – Amen!
EXAMPLES OF THE OVERCOMERS’ KIND OF FAITH
There are several Persons who has Great Faith.
But let me quickly mention only two (2) out of the many Persons, to illustrate the kind of Faith God expects from an Overcomer.
- In Matthew 15:22-28, there was a woman who had a family Problem – Her daughter was grievously vexed of the devil. She came to Jesus crying: Please help me! Jesus ignored her, but she kept crying. After some time the Disciples said Lord, send her away.
She kept crying, finally Jesus said: I am not sent but unto the Lost Sheep of the house of Israel. She said, I know: but You will have to help me.
But He answered and said, It is not meet to take the children’s bread, and to cast it to dogs.
She said, You don’t need to tell me, I know I am a dog! But this dog is not going anywhere!
“And she said, Truth, Lord: yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their Masters’ table.”
If you will go home with your Testimony, shout hallelujah – Hallelujah.
Jesus said, are you saying the crumbs will be enough for you?
Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, Great is thy Faith: be it unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
As an Overcomer, God expects your Faith to be the kind that brings the Future to the Present.
What Jesus was telling the woman is that the time of the Gentiles had not yet come – Their time came in Acts Chapter 10.
The woman said to Jesus, I don’t care at all; all I know is that my time would come today.
Others will be expecting their Miracles from Monday when the Convention will start – As for me, my Miracle will come today!
There is the Story of a woman who was barren for years.
She came to the Convention, and it was time to ask God for what we wanted.
She said God, by next Year’s Convention, I want to come back with two (2) children.
The Word of Knowledge came – You are asking God for two (2) children, the Lord has granted your Request.
She became Pregnant; nine (9) Months later, she had a Baby.
And before she knew what was happening, she became Pregnant again.
Tell your Neighbour: Within a year you will hear my Testimony!
If you believe it, shout hallelujah – Hallelujah.
- Another example is in Matthew 8:5-13.
It is the Story of this fellow who came to Jesus: Please, my Servant is in need of help. Jesus said, I will come to your house and heal her.
Ha! You’ll come to my house to heal an Ordinary sick fellow? Speak the Word.
And Jesus said, I have never seen this kind of Faith – For the Man said, I know what it is to be under Authority.
“For I am a Man under Authority, having Soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my Servant, Do this, and he doeth it.” (DMC NOTES: Matthew 8:9).
Psalm 119:89 says, For ever, O LORD, thy Word is Settled in Heaven.
And Psalm 33:8-9 says, Let all the Earth fear the LORD: let all the Inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he Commanded, and it stood fast.
I believe He is saying to somebody: Your tomorrow will be alright – Amen.
O yes! Whether the enemy likes it or not, your tomorrow would be alright – Amen.
It’s not too long ago that I was taking my children on: What is called Faith – “Childlike Faith”.
I told them of how I went to Ilesha and saw some children Playing.
When they saw me that said, “Baba Eko has come” (DMC NOTES: “Lagos Father has come”).
So one of them said to me, “Daddy, can I have shoes for Christmas?” And I replied, I will buy you shoes for Christmas.
She ran to the others and said to them, “I have a new pair of shoes for Christmas.”
How? “Baba Eko said so!”
And another child said, I too have shoes for Christmas.
How? She said, my father will buy them for me.
They all said, that is “Yeye shoes” – Baba Eko’s shoes is the correct shoes.
Do you know why my tomorrow would be alright?
My Father is the Owner of the Heaven and the Earth; He knows the end from the beginning.
You want Him to stay with you?
He wants you to understand that “Mountains might be different, but the Mountain Mover is the same.”
Your Mountain might be Barrenness, another Person’s own might by Tribulations; but there is only One Mountain Mover – Our God!
I like what David said in 1 Samuel 17:34-51; And David said unto Saul, Thy Servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a Lion, and a Bear, and took a Lamb out of the flock: And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.
What was he saying?
A Lion came I killed it, a Bear came I killed it; and now there is this Goliath.
The Lion is different from the Bear, the Bear is different from Goliath – They are two different Mountains, and this Goliath is another Mountain.
The One who uprooted the first and second Mountains will also uproot this Giant called Goliath!
What is it to be done?
Mark 11:22-23 says, And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have Faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this Mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his Heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith.
Have the Faith of God, then speak to the Mountain: “I come to you in the Name of the One who was before Mountains, Move!
I know the God I serve; when it comes to Preaching Faith, I don’t Preach Faith – I Preach Holiness because it is the Master Key.
When it comes to Faith; with all Humility, I can say I don’t Preach Faith, I Live by Faith!
Because one of my Sunday School Teachers (of Blessed Memory) told me a Story again and again;
He said, if a boy is sitting on a two-storey building, then looks down, sees the father: “Papa should I jump?”
If the father says, jump! The child will jump.
Why? He is sure his father will catch him.
I have be jumping since then; and my Father has been catching me – Because underneath me are His Everlasting Arm.
All He has to do is Speak the Word, and I will jump.
When He said, I will build you a City, He showed me a Jungle where the City would be built – I didn’t doubt Him.
When we had only one Auditorium – 100 Meters by 50 Meters by the Expressway, and the Federal Minister of Works, acting on the Instructions of his Boss said he was going to bulldoze this Place, I laughed! – “You want to bulldoze what God did?”
The Minister is gone, but the Camp is here!
Beloved children, you are Destined for Greatness.
It does not matter what the enemy may Plane or do; in the Name that’s above every other name, you will reach your Goal – Amen.
It does not matter how many Enemies are fighting you in your father’s house, in your mother’s house, in your wife/husband’s house, in your Place of work, in the Church of God, or Prophets; in the Name that’s above every other name, you will reach your Goal – Amen!
Go ahead, tell the Almighty God: You have told me Lord, I believe You.
