BIBLE TEXT: ISAIAH 41:10-16
OPENING PRAYER
Father, in the Name of Jesus!
Please can we take a few seconds to just appreciate the Lord wherever we are?
You have shown us so much mercy, Lord. Our lives are a product of Your goodness.
Who are we O God, that Thou has shown mercy?
Let Your Name alone be glorified.
Lord, tonight is the Holy Ghost Service, this is Your Service;
Glorify Yourself again.
Let Your Name alone be glorified.
Let Your Word that is able to transform, gushed out of my mouth with Your Glory, in the Name of Jesus.
And let Your Name alone be glorified.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we Pray – Amen.
People of God, please join me as we Celebrate our Father and our Mother in the Lord – Daddy and Mummy Adeboye.
Please help me celebrate them!
Thank you Daddy and Mummy, for giving me this privilege as Youth.
Also, let’s celebrate our Continental Overseer and his wife – Daddy and Mummy E.A Odeyemi.
Celebrate also, our Pastors in charge of Regions, Provinces, Zones, Areas, Parishes, Youth Pastors and all their Assistants.
Shout hallelujah – Hallelujah.

It is a deep privilege and honour for me to stand before you tonight and share God’s Word.
There are several Angels here tonight (even as you are reading this Message on the Label of DMC); and they are ministering to those whose hearts are opened unto God.
We will be looking at “Fear Not” – Which is our Theme.
Isaiah 41:10-16
10 Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.
11 Behold, all those that were incensed against thee shall be ashamed and confounded: they shall be as nothing; and they that strive with thee shall perish.
12 Thou shalt seek them, and shalt not find them, even them that contended with thee: they that war against thee shall be as nothing, and as a thing of nought.
13 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee.
14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel.
15 Behold, I will make thee a new sharp threshing instrument having teeth: thou shalt thresh the mountains, and beat them small, and shalt make the hills as chaff.
16 Thou shalt fan them, and the wind shall carry them away, and the whirlwind shall scatter them: and thou shalt rejoice in the Lord, and shalt glory in the Holy One of Israel.
You see, Fear has destabilized and paralyzed so many people.
Infact, many people have died out of fear more than the causes of illnesses or sicknesses.
Fear can simply be defined as an Emotional, Physical, Mental, or Psychological response to threat, perceived harm, or sanctity.
We all have agreed on the definition that Fear is: “False Evidence Appearing Real.”
This reminds me of a story I heard years ago about a young Man of God. He went to a City and was invited to minister.
At night he wanted to ease himself; behold, he saw a white figure hanging by his window, and he started praying.
Let’s say he started praying from 2:002am, by 6:30am when light started entering the room, he then realized that what he had been casting and binding was his White Suit.
He spent five (5) solid hours binding what did not truly exist!
Is it possible that you and I have been praying about things that are not actually real?
Or that we have been so consumed with Fear of things that are not actually real?
As students, to test an Acid you’ll use Litmus Paper.
- Litmus Paper turn Red when deep in acid;
- Then turn from Red to Blue when put in Base.
FEAR: FIVE (5) BASIC LITMUS TESTS.
When you experience Fear; when Fear grips you, what is God trying to say?
- Lack of or No Knowledge of His Presence, Power and Promises.
Once there is lack of or no knowledge of God’s Presence with us, His Power and Promises, then there is every likelihood that Fear will come into our heart.
We can confirm that from 2 Peter 1:3 which says, According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
- There is a Possibility that the Love of God has not been made Perfect yet in our Heart.
1 John 4:18 says, There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love.
Once I begin to sense Fear, there is every likelihood that Love has not been made Perfect in my heart.
- Great Victories and Deliverances are actually ahead.
Once you sense Fear, it is God telling you that Victory is ahead; Deliverance also is ahead.
How do I know?
Luke 8:32-33 tells us about Jesus; Now it came to pass on a certain day that he went into a ship with his Disciples: and he said unto them, Let us go over unto the other side of the lake. And they launched forth. But as they sailed, he fell asleep: and there came down a storm of wind on the lake; and they were filled with water, and were in jeopardy.
Jesus slept in the middle of a Storm because He knows His God – Hallelujah!
- A Proof that the Devil is afraid of you.
That fear is engrossing your heart is a proof that the devil is afraid of your Manifestation.
Once Fear begins to grip your heart, Satan is afraid that your Manifestation is close.
Somebody shout hallelujah – Hallelujah!
Say to your Neighbour: My Neighbour, whenever you notice Fear, there is every likelihood that the devil is afraid of your Manifestation.
- It shows that you have given the devil Legal Access to your heart.
There is every likelihood that God is pointing us to either the sin of Unforgiveness; or He is pointing us to the sin of Immorality.
Once you give this Legal Access to the Devil, he can then grip your heart with Fear.
FOUR (4) PILLARS TO OVERCOME FEAR
How can I live a life that is free of Fear? By following these Four (4) Important Pillars:
- The Pillar of Believe:
John 1:12 says, But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
Romans 10:10 says, For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
The problem with Christians is that we stop at the first Pillar – Believe.
We say, “I Believe in God.”
And so what? The Bible says even demons believe in God and they tremble.
So Believing in God is not enough.
Believing also has to do with knowing His Nature; and knowing His Characteristics.
With my little knowledge of God, I have come to understand that God is not impulsive – He doesn’t just react.
It is Men and Institutions that react.
God is not in the caliber of responsiveness – He is just too Faithful.
Meaning that whether things are working well or not, His Nature does not change.
Once I come to the knowledge of the fullness of the Nature of God, I can beat my chest and say, “I know that God is with me.” Amen!
- The Pillar of Faith:
There is a great difference between Believe and Faith.
James 2:18-20 says, Yea, a man may say, Thou hast faith, and I have works: shew me thy faith without thy works, and I will shew thee my faith by my works. Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: the devils also believe, and tremble. But wilt thou know, O vain man, that faith without works is dead?
Which means I cannot claim to have Faith without Action.
Infact, the proof of my Faith is the step I take in accordance with God’s Word.
So we must move beyond just believing in God, to having Faith in God because many of us believe God’s Word, but have refused to act on them.
I am sorry to say that you do not have Faith yet; because Faith is Action in what you Believe.
In Joshua 1:9, the Bible says, Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and of good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
What then is Courage?
We define Courage as a movement, despite the presence of Fear.
And Biblical Courage is different from Normal Courage.
- Normal Courage says, move even though there is Fear;
- But in Biblical Courage, He says, move in accordance with the Word of God.
Meaning, any movement I make; any step I take that is not in accordance with the Word of God, is no longer Biblical Courage but Normal Courage.
Once I move in accordance with the Word of God, then He will call that Courage.
Somebody shout hallelujah – Hallelujah!
How can I build Courage?
What I want to say next is what Daddy G.O has consistently taught us.
And those of us who have applied it would realize that it always works.
And what is it?
Courage is built through Recollection; Remembering, Reconnecting and going back to past Experiences with God.
Sometimes you just need to sit down and remember all His Goodness and Mercy towards you and your Family. And all of a sudden, Faith would be stirred up in you, and Fear begins to vanish.
Why? It’s because God has done it before; and He would do it again – Amen.
The Lord told me, “Those who can not Recollect don’t know how to Reconnect: Therefore, they don’t know how to Collect”
I’ll say it again, if you don’t know how to Recollect all of God’s Goodness, you would not know how to Reconnect;
… And if you can’t Reconnect, how will you Collect?
Somebody shout hallelujah – Hallelujah.
- The Pillar of Trust:
You know, most times we confuse Believe, Faith and Trust:
- Trust is a higher level of Faith.
Trust is saying, “God, whether You do it or You don’t do it, I will consistently follow You.”
That is Trust!
So many Christians have Faith in God; but when what they had Faith for does not work out they leave God.
But they acted in Faith.
Trust is what Shedrack, Meshach and Abednego said to King Nebuchadnezzar:
Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, answered and said to the king, O Nebuchadnezzar, we are not careful to answer thee in this matter. If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of thine hand, O king. But if not, be it known unto thee, O king, that we will not serve thy gods, nor worship the golden image which thou hast set up. (DMC NOTES: Daniel 3:1618)
Paul the Apostle also said, I know who I have believed, and I am persuaded.
That is Trust!
Trust says,: “I am unshaken; whether it turns out good, whether it turns out bad, O God, You are Faithful”.
Once you come to that level of trust, Fear will fear your surrounding.
What is Trust in Simply Terms?
It means Surrendering control to God – Believing in His Wisdom, that His Wisdom surpasses your Understanding even when the way forward is not clear.
It is completely surrendering control to God – Believing His Wisdom surpass your Connections and your Strategies; and then leaving everything for Him to handle.
… Of course you have a part to play: We are coming to that.
- The Pillar of Spoken Word:
I can have a gun, fill it with bullets and probably bandits attack me:
If I don’t use that gun, release the bullets, what would happen?
I might be a dead man before I know it.
We all have a gun – The Word of God; fully loaded with bullets; but we have not been using it.
Learn to Speak the Word always.
Paul the Apostle said, we believe and we speak.
In Genesis 1:1-3, the Bible says, In the beginning, God created the Heavens and the Earth. The Earth was without form, and void; and darkness was on the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God was hovering over the face of the waters. Then God said, “Let there be light”; and there was light.
There was chaos and uncertainties yet nothing happened until God spoke!
Say to your Neighbour: Speak the Word of God, do not keep quiet.
Some years ago I was praying, and at the same time I was being attacked. I was saying, O God help me.
Guess what was God’s response? He said Son, Speak to that problem now!
And the moment I began to speak the Word of God, I received freedom and also regained strength.
Why? I had everything I needed right inside me but was keeping quiet – Choosing rather to listen to what my thoughts had loaded me in my generation.
Tell your neighbour: Don’t keep quiet, Speak the Word of God!
Sometimes to overcome those challenges, we need to know the exact Word (of God) to use per time.
RESPONSE TO FEAR
For Instance:
- If Fear tells you that you are going to die.
What will be your Response? “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD in the land of the living.” (DMC NOTES: Psalm 118:17)
- When Fear tells you that you are alone; that nobody cares about you.
What will be your Response? “And, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.” (DMC NOTES: Matthew 28:20B)
- When Fear tells you that you will fail; You are too weak.
What will be your Response? “I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.” (DMC NOTES: Philippians 4:13)
- When Fear says your Future is Hopeless.
What will be your Response? “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.” (DMC NOTES: Jeremiah 29:11)
- When Fear says, this Problem will Drown you.
What will be your Response? “When thou passest through the waters, I will be with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.” (DMC NOTES: Isaiah 43:2)
- When Fears says you will not find Peace.
What will be your Response? “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” (DMC NOTES: John 14:27)
- When Fear says, your Enemies shall Drown you.
What will be your Response? “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their righteousness is of me, saith the LORD.” (DMC NOTES: Isaiah 54:17)
- When Fear says nothing Good can come out of you.
What will be your Response? “Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?” (DMC NOTES: Lamentations 3:37)
PRAYER
Please, can we be on our feet?
Begin to speak to your Fears! Respond to those Fears now using the exact Word of God.
This is not a time to keep quiet.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER
Let Your Name O LORD, be glorified!
Thank You for giving us Victory.
