THEME: THE NEW ARMY
MINISTERING (DAY 2 EVENING): PASTOR E.A ADEBOYE (GENERAL OVERSEER, RCCG)
DATE: 27TH DECEMBER, 2025.
BIBLE TEXT: EZEKIEL 37: 1-10 AND ACTS 2: 1-4
Let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
Please let’s be seated.
I want to Thank the Almighty God for His Faithfulness – I Thank God for you and I Thank God for Answered Prayers.
And I am glad that He is going to answer your Prayers again Today.
I have not come here Tonight to Preach to you but to bless you – And you shall be blessed (Amen).
When we talk about “The New Army”; if we are to sit down to dissect the Topic, that will take quite a long time for us to do justice to the Topic.
You see because when you talk about “The New Army”; that implies that there must have been an “Old Army”.
The word “New” there is the opposite of “Old” – And so, you cannot discuss “New” adequately without saying something about the “Old”.
But I don’t want to begin to go into details because I know that you will want to be Part of the New Army and I just need to tell you briefly how that can come about.
Because whenever we talk about a “New Army”, there must have been an “Old Army”.
And we need to know what happened to the Old Army to necessitate a New Army.
Maybe the Old Army died or they Perished one way or the other.
And if we are to go through all the things that can cause a whole Army to die or Perish; we will be here till tomorrow.
We can take it from the Old Testament and we begin to look on Armies upon Armies and why they died.
And then look at the New Army that took over from them et cetera et cetera.
- We can take a look at Somebody like David who was a One-Man Army and see how he manifested.
I mean a Single boy delivered a whole Nation from a Terrorist that has been terrorising the Nation for forty (40) days.
We could see in David that in the olden days when they want to fight, they fight with swords, spear et cetera et cetera.
And we will now look at David and see the way he came into the Picture.
We can listen to what he said: “Goliath, you have come against me with a sword, with your Shield and with your spear, but I have come against you now in the Name of the Lord of Hosts” (DMC NOTES: 1 Samuel 17:45).
And the weapon he used was different from the sword and spear.
We can then look at what happened when the battle had Changed and you have to Change to a New Weapon to be able to handle the situation.
We can look at the situation and say: Once upon a time when you are going about with your Bible – Probably as big as the one that I am holding.
And then nowadays, you can have the Bible and several other things in a very small Telephone.
… We can talk about several things looking at the Old Army and the New Army.
- But then, when we jumped and talk a little bit about Elijah and Elisha.
That Elijah didn’t die but was Translated – And another One-Man Army left.
And a new One-Mxn Army took over et cetera et cetera.
- But then, if we look at the New Testament; we will quickly see what is it that makes a difference between the Old Army and the New Army.
And that is what you need to know.
You will noticed that when the Lord was here on Earth, He had an Army going out with Him – We call them Disciples or Apostles. And these People were already fighting battles.
I mean that you go to Luke Chapter 10 for example from Verse 17 (Luke 10:17); you will see that the Disciples were already an Army going out with the Lord Jesus Christ.
They were reporting to the Lord that even Demons were Subject to us in Your Name.
But then, the Lord needed a New Army and decided to Change the very Old Army to a New one.
Because by the time that the Lord Jesus Christ was leaving this world, all the Converts were about five hundred (500) Brethrens – That is what the Bible says (DMC NOTES: 1 Corinthians 15:6).
God felt that we have to move faster and so we have to Change the Old Army to a New Army.
They were the same Apostles and Disciples who were going about Preaching and Clearing the way for the Lord Jesus Christ.
And then, something happened on the Day of Pentecost in Acts 2: 1-4.
If you now take Note of what happened on that day before the Holy Spirit came as a Cloven Tongue of fire to rest on these People.
You suddenly see that what happened in Ezekiel 37: 1-10 – There was an Army that had Perished and that had become dry bones.
And despite everything that the Man of God did and despite all the Prophesies; nothing happened until the Wind blew.
The day that Elisha took over from Elijah, the Wind blew.
The day that Jesus Christ replaced Himself with a New Army – An Army now that could Preach one Sermon and win three thousand (3,000) Souls; the Wind blew.
And then by the time things continued – And there was an Explosion in Converts.
By the time we got to Acts Chapter 4; the Wind blew again.
And so you get the Point
If you are going to be a Member of the New Army, the Wind of the Holy Spirit must blow on you!
Not only that, even if you claim that you are in the Army – That you have been Baptised in the Holy Spirit and that you have received Power; for you to remain relevant in the New Army; the Wind must blow again.
It blew on the Day of Pentecost and Peter became a One-Man Army.
He Preached a Sermon and won three thousand (3,000) Souls (DMC NOTES: Acts 2:41).
And by the time you get to Acts 4:31; they became very bold.
If you are already filled of the Holy Spirit and you want to remain relevant, the Wind must blow again.
Because when we are talking about “New Army” today, some of you might come to the conclusion – Oh, God must be talking about a New Generation of Soldiers who will take the work of God to a Higher Level.
And then, you might look at the Old ones and say: You can’t be talking about these People because they are Old.
Let me assure you: Sooner or later, you too will grow old if the Lord delays His Coming.
Years ago, like forty something years ago – Well, by the Grace of God, I joined The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) and the Wind blew.
And I began to gather young, young People like me together.
The Elders then look at us as being Young and Aggressive and say: What is wrong with them? We have been speaking in Tongues when you People didn’t even know what is called Salvation.
There were some People who even Prophesied to me loud and clear: Oh, that is how Palm Leaf always starts – It will go up for some time and then it will bend and become just like another one of the Palm Leaf.
I remembered that by the Grace of God that I have the Boldness to tell them: This Particular Palm Leaf is going to continue to go up higher and higher and higher.
Many of us who started together then are now either in the late 70’s or late 80’s.
And by the Grace of God, because we discovered this Secret that I am telling you; we are still relevant today.
So, the Prayer that I am going to Pray for you is that God will let the Wind blow over you – Amen!
But it will be your responsibility to keep on moving the Wind so that it can keep on blowing on you.
You say: What do you mean by that?
When Paul was writing to Timothy, he told him: “Stir up the Gift that is in you by the Laying-On of my hands” (DMC NOTES: 2 Timothy 1:6).
One Great Man said something years ago – He said that if the Holy Spirit does not move me, I will move the Holy Spirit.
And we all looked at him and we did not quite understand.
Then he gave an Illustration and said: As you are seated, there is air around you. If you want to change the air around you to a wind; what do you need to do? You need a fan.
When you fan the air, it will become a Wind.
You must leave this Gathering this Year (2025) with a Determination that:
☆ If you are in the Bathroom and suddenly God reminds you that how many hours ago since you have not been in the Holy Spirit. Immediately, you get going
☆ If you are eating and the Holy Spirit hinted you while your Colleagues were cracking jokes; you let them talk but as you are listening even with something in your mouth; you can say a word or two in the Spirit.
The Bible says: “Pray without ceasing” (DMC NOTES: 1 Thessalonians 5:17).
When it says “Pray without ceasing”; the only way that you can do that is by Praying in the Spirit.
So, I am going to ask my Father to let the Wind blew on you. But it is going to be your duty to keep the Wind blowing.
Shall we Stand on our feet?
The difference between the Old Army and the New Army is the Wind!
I. When the Wind cease to blow on any Army, it will become an Old Army.
II. When the Wind even blows on an Old Army – Armies that has become dry bones; it will become a New Army.
III. If you are already in the Army and the Wind has blown on you – You have been there and you had the Pentecostal Experience; hey remember that when they were all filled with the Holy Spirit again in Acts Chapter 4, Peter got another dosage.
You must keep on fanning the Spirit!
Lift your hands to the Almighty God.
SPECIAL FATHER’S BLESSINGS AND IMPARTATION OF THE WIND OF THE HOLY SPIRIT
My Father and my God, I bless Your Holy Name.
I Thank You for these Your Wonderful Children and I Thank You for their Hunger to be in Your New Army.
Thank You because You Promised that: “Blessed are those who do Hunger and Thirst after Righteousness, for they shall be filled” (DMC NOTES: Matthew 5:6).
They want to be in Your New Army my Father and my God; Tonight let Your Wind blow.
Like never before, let Your Wind blow on them.
When they leave here, let them go away with the Wind blowing.
If they wake up in the middle of the Night to go and ease themselves, let the Wind blow.
In the Shower, let the Wind blow.
As they travel to their Places of work, let the Wind blow.
As they enter the New Year (2026), my Father and my God let the Wind blow.
Don’t let them ever become,e redundant.
Let them remain relevant forever.
And even as they open their mouths to cry unto You this moment; Father let the Wind blow.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!!!

Well, open your mouth and begin to Pray in the Spirit and let the Wind blow on you and begin with you right away.
