TOPIC: YOU NEED A LAND TO MARK

OPENING PRAYER

Our Father and our God, the Maker of Heaven and Earth. The Everlasting Father; You have no comparison anywhere.

You are the Lord of all – We Salute Your Majesty; we Worship You. You are our Lord, You are our Portion for ever.

In You we live, in You we move and have our Being. We Celebrate Your Loving Kindness this Morning.

You are the One that woke us up by Your Mercy; and Your Compassion is still on, through Your Faithfulness.

We are Grateful for bringing us together to Your Vineyard and for calling us Your Co-labourers.

Oh! What a Humble Father we have in You: You, our Creator, calling us Your Co-labourers.

We should be begging before entering Your Vineyard; but You have been Good, kind, Gracious, and have brought us to Yourself – We are Grateful.

We Thank You for Journey Mercies.

We Thank You for all our Leaders in Europe.

We Thank You Jehovah, for this Beautiful Campground.

We are so Grateful.

Accept our Thanks and Praises, in Jesus’ Name.

We Thank You for our General Overseer that You have kept alive to witness what You are doing in this Campground.

We are Grateful for sparing his Life; and Thank You for his vision that has not grown dim.

We want to Thank You for the Aarons and Hurs who have been lifting up his hands, in the Name of Jesus.

The Theme is LANDMARK – You own the Land, we are Your Children: and whatever You have belongs to us.

We are asking Lord, that You will show us what You want us to do Today in order to Possess and mark the Land. Don’t let us miss any of our Possessions.

Holy Spirit, come down in your Power, come down in Your Might, and empower us all. Open our eyes to see Wonderous Things from the Word of God.

And let this moment be registered in our hearts for ever.

Thank You for everything.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.

I want you to help me encourage your Neighbour.

Say my Neighbour: I have a Land, and that Land is my God. My Possession has no end. Today, I will make a Remarkable mark on my Land – What about you?

I salute the General Overseer – Sir, thank you for the Privilege you have given to me.

I am Grateful. Thank you Sir.

We are all Welcome to the Beautiful Land that God has given to us – We are so Grateful to Him.

And we want to Thank God for all our Leaders in the house; most especially, those who have been going up and down to make sure this Place is set for this Meeting.

The Lord will bless all of you.

Starting from our Continental Overseers, Deputy Continental Overseers, all our Emeritus Elders in the house, all our Regional, Provincial, Zonal, Area and Parish Pastors in the house.

God Bless You all – Amen.

We are talking about LANDMARK. And my Bible Text is found in the Book of Psalm 24:1-2.

The Earth is the LORD’s, and the Fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the Seas, and established it upon the floods.

Brethren, when we talk about Landmark, the Part I have chosen is: YOU NEED A LAND TO MARK

For example, this Campground has been here for years; but now RCCG has come to mark it – Halleluyah!

And by the Grace of God, Nobody can chase us out of this Place – Amen.

Landmark is a combination of two (2) words: Land and Mark.

You have the Land, and you are to make a mark on it so that it can become something unforgettable.

Where I come from in Nigeria, when you Possess a Land, they out a Sign showing the Land now belongs to Mr and Mrs Joseph. And that “All Trespassers shall be Prosecuted” (Laughter).

All Land belongs to God. So, whenever we put our own mark as His Children He would watch over it.

Hence this Morning, we are saying: you need a Land to Mark.

We are all Ministers of the Gospel; and since the Land belongs to our God, the Passage in Proverbs 22:18 made it known to us that the Land that has been marked by our forefathers, the Landmark must not be removed: “Remove not the Ancient Landmark, which thy fathers have set.”

This is were we are going!

God is the Owner of the Land. But by virtue of being Placed by God as Joint Heirs with the Lord Jesus Christ; then we have the opportunity to own, and to have a mark on it.

You are not here as a Trespasser: You have come to take your own land – Amen.

But you must put a mark on it – You need to put a mark on it.

So the Question we want to ask ourselves this Morning is: Which Land am I going to mark?

God has Graciously given us a Passage in John 15:16 – Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my Name, he may give it you.

Brethren, which Land is there for you to mark?

Any area that God leads you to – Because the Land we are talking about is the Land of the Souls of Men. Which is not too small, neither is it too big for you to mark.

That is why we need to really think and Pray, asking God:

• Where are You leading me to?
• Where I am already
• Have I made a mark?

You need to ask yourself, if I have made a mark, where do I put the next mark?

SUGGESTED MARKS TO PUT ON THE LAND.

As a mother, I want to suggest some Marks according to the Word of God you should put on the Land that is available to you as a Minister.

Some of them, God has Graciously helped me to do – So I have an idea of what I am talking about.

1. THE MARK OF MIDWIFERY:

You may be saying, I am a Pastor and I am not a woman – “How can I mark the Land of Midwifery?”

Everyone who has to take care a Soul must be a Midwife.

Tell your Neighbour: If you don’t know – You are a Midwife!

The Bible says in Exodus 1:15-21 – And the King of Egypt spake to the Hebrew Midwives, of which the name of the one was Shiphrah, and the name of the other Puah: And he said, When ye do the office of a Midwife to the Hebrew women, and see them upon the stools; if it be a son, then ye shall kill him: but if it be a daughter, then she shall live. But the midwives feared God, and did not as the King of Egypt commanded them, but saved the men children alive. And it came to pass, because the Midwives feared God, that he made them houses.

I Pray this Morning: Your family shall not be wasted – Amen.

*You need the Mark of Midwifery: Either you are a Man or a Woman, taking care of Souls that could have been destroyed by the Enemy.

The Enemy is really out now, destroying Souls of children.

Because we are here, or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC, we are going to put our Mark of Midwifery, having Maternity Centers all over; where Souls of these little ones would be saved, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

2. THE MARK OF GROWN UP CHILDREN

We have talked about Babies; so those who are about to abort should Please stop – Do not be a part of it.

In Matthew 19:14, Jesus said to His Disciples, Suffer little children, and forbid them not, to come unto me: for of such is the Kingdom of Heaven.

Proverbs 22:6 tells us that we should Train up a Child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

There is no way this Mark of taking care of the Children will not Prosper our Ministries because the Young shall grow!

This is very important to us as Ministers of God.

Psalm 127:3 tells us Lo, Children are an Heritage of the LORD: and the fruit of the womb is his Reward.

… The Mark of Children is very important.

And in those days, there were things we believed children did not know. But today, they know more than the Adults.

Only yesterday, I was asking one of my grandchildren to teach me one App that I don’t know on my Phone – She sat down, taught me.

I was looking at her; and she was telling me what to do – Thereafter, I said okay, thank you!

Children are very useful – That is why I am still in the Children Ministry till today.

Because they Probe my Spirit, to do some things.

Those of you Preaching only to Adults, and think “oh! I am doing well” – You are a Television Evangelist; Congratulations.

Who will raise these Children for us?

We are the ones to raise them.

No wonder Psalm 127:3 calls then Heritage of the LORD.

When you have the Heritage of the Lord in your Home or Ministry, you can be sure God will be Pumping Resources unto you because He will not allow His Heritage to be wasted.

May the Lord Bless us all -Amen.

Those of you in the Children Ministry, Please work harder – Your Blessing is for ever because when you see them growing up, you will be happy.

Something happened a few years ago: I went down a Female Minister’s Program in the Eastern Part of Nigeria.

I had travelled from Port Harcourt to Abakaliki, and finally ended up in Onitsha that Evening.

The women there said they would escort me the following day to my Next Point of call and I said okay.

Before dawn, I heard loud bangs on my door. “Who could this be? I don’t know anybody in Onitsha.’

By the time I opened the door, I saw six (6) girls; and they carried me up. I said, Please don’t let me fall (laughter).

They said, we are Bankers lodged here. We noticed that you are also lodged in this Hotel, so we said, we are going to wait till Morning, and then come and wake you up.

They were the children I taught at the University Staff School, Ilorin (Kwara State Nigeria); almost about sixteen (16) years before that time.

They were now Bankers.

I saw one of them Sarah – And I said, so Sarah you are now a Banker? She said, yes; your effort was not wasted. Because she refused to learn Mathematics in my Class and I would sit down with her, I would say: Sarah, it is very easy, just try.

I was very happy to hear that she is now a Banker.

Brethren, your Labour of Love over the Children will never be wasted – Amen.

You don’t know who would be the next Minister of your Nation – These children will eventually grow up, start working in big Offices.

And when you encounter them, they would be in Position to help you out – Because, that is one of the Rewards of Teachers.

So Teachers in the house, don’t think you have been forgotten – Put the Mark of the Children Ministry on the Land the Lord has given you. Don’t overlook it at all.

Jesus Himself said, bring the little children to me, for theirs is the Kingdom.

And I am sure we are all here for the Kingdom.

The Lord Himself will help us, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

3. THE MARK OF YOUTH:

If you are a Youth like Joseph in the house, shout hallelujah – Hallelujah.

When you put the Mark of the Youth on the Land the Lord has given you; watch over them, do the right thing for them at the right time; they are the ones who would bring Righteousness to all the Government.

Look at what happened in the Life of Joseph – He was well brought up by the father and all that was given to him, he cherished. He did not have anywhere to display it untill he got to where they thought they would never see him again.

All our Labour over our Youth will never be in vain – Amen.

All we need is to put that mark on the Land God has given unto us – Let’s do our best.

Joseph, in Genesis 49:9, the Bible tells us that when the Master’s wife asked him to sleep with her, he said: There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?

… Because the Seed of sin is not in him.

This is what we are Planting now.

We all know the days are evil and at the same time, God is still alive, and He is still doing His work.

Please I am appealing to you: Put the Mark of Youth on the Land God has given to you – Make it one of your Landmarks.

Joseph displayed Righteousness – At the end of the day he saved his entire family from famine and they took over the Land of Goshen, where there was Abundance, Peace and Joy, while there was famine in Egypt.

I Pray God will use our Youth Mightily, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

And as we teach them Righteousness, they will run away from sin, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

4. THE MARK OF GOOD WORKS:

Dorcas was a Widow in the Land – Acts 9:46-39.

The Bible says she did Good works.

Some widows think they can’t do much because they don’t have much – I am telling you now, that you can do much.

Let’s establish Hospitality and Widows’ Mark in all the Land God has given to us.

Dorcas was not an ordinary Widow; she even took care of other Widows.

When she died, and Peter came around, the Widows were crying: “Wake her up for us Please. Look at all she did for us.”

Being a Widow does not mean your Life is terminated from doing Good works.

My Prayer for our Partners has always been: “Because of this, your Life will not be terminated.”

Dorcas lived as a Prosperous Widow.

Don’t forget, we are talking about the Marks we have to put on the Land God has given to us.

5. As Ministers of God, we have also various kinds of Marks, such as:

I. The Mark of the Fatherless

II. The Mark of the Aged People

III. The Mark of the Vagabonds:

Remember David in the Cave Adullam – 1 Samuel 22.

IV. The Mark of the Poor

V. The Mark of the Rich

VI. The Mark of the Harlots

VII. The Mark of the Idol Worshippers

VIII. The Mark of the Hopeless

IX. The Mark of those who are Less Privileged.

X. The Mark of the Lunatics

XI. The Mark of Kings and Prince.

XII. The Mark of the Unreached – Missions:

Many People don’t want to go to the Mission Fields – We call them Unreached.

You want to be a City Pastor, you don’t want to go on Missions.

If you don’t want to go on Missions, then you are a Local Champion – You are limited in whatever you know about the Love of God.

Some of us have limited ourselves to one Mark; whereas God wants you to spread all over the world. Missions is very important!

It is right time we changed our Orientation – Don’t be a Local Champion, spread out.

Don’t just talk about Missions, go out there by yourself and see how it looks like. It is a blessed thing to do.

I Pray that God will open your ears and heart today – Amen.

Mark your Land with the Unreached, which we call Missions.

The Bible says, Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest (DMC NOTES: Ecclesiastes 9:10).

HOW TO MARK THE LAND

How do we Mark the Land God has already given to us? That is what we want to talk about next.

1. Allow the Leading of the Holy Spirit – Holy Spirit Guidance:

In John 14:26, the Bible says: But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my Name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.

That is why you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit all the time; and allow Him to guide you.

Sometimes when He is leading you, it looks too hard.

The beautiful thing is that, the moment you allow Him once and He knows you to be Patient enough to receive His Guidance; then He will continue to guide you.

We were in South Africa years ago; the Nigerian Ambassador to South Africa came to meet the General Overseer.

As they were discussing, I overheard him giving reports of deaths happening at Alexander, due to the water there. And the Holy Spirit said to me, “Missions on Assignment.”

I said, No. Missions on Assignment from Nigeria to South Africa? But that Night I could not sleep.

The following day, I called one of the Pastors who was friendly. I said: Please where is Alexander situated in South Africa? Go and do a survey of the Place for me, before we leave in the next three (3) days, and report back to me.

He went there and came back with the same report the Ambassador was giving the General Overseer.

And the Holy Spirit kept saying, “Missions on Assignment!”

So I told the Pastor: Can you Please help me start a House Fellowship there for the Elderly?

From Nigeria, by the Grace of God, we have been sending funds and other materials to them.

Today, we have over two hundred and Fifty (250) Members there.

We have a Team of Medical Doctors, Counselors, etc who go there from time to time.

And Mighty Testimonies are coming from there.

We call the Ministry there, “Heart of Gold.” And for the past seven (7) years, only two of the Members died. No more frequent death rates.

2. Always be Filled with the Holy Spirit:

Why? Because there are times when you will be down in the Mark; but being filled with the Holy Spirit will make sure the Mark is Strengthened.

Isaiah 40:31 says, But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their Strength; they shall mount up with Wings as Eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.

When you are filled with the Holy Spirit all the time, He will Strengthen you.

Because the Holy Spirit will always be around to comfort you, and to make sure your Labour of Love is not in vain.

“Therefore, my beloved Brethren, be ye Steadfast, unmoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, forasmuch as ye know that your Labour is not in vain in the Lord” (DMC NOTES: Isaiah 15:58).

You don’t need to count on the cost, because He will Provide – He is always there to help us.

3. When the Lord is Leading you, Obey!

Isaiah 1:19 says, If ye be willing and obedient, ye shall eat the Good of the Land:

If you don’t have the Mark, there will be no Landmark. You have to obey.

It is not easy to obey, until you have released your Spirit.

When God says go! You have to go.

Thank God for Good husbands, and Good wives.

Thank God for the General Overseer – When God says go! He knows it himself, he cannot stop me.

Because God would tell him, if you don’t allow Mummy G.O to go, you won’t be able to sleep. Because throughout the night I’ll be saying: “Hmmm! God help me.”

It is not easy to take decisions as a married woman to leave home.

I have left home for seven (7) weeks before, to cover seven (7) Countries – Thank God for Men who have the Spirit of God.

There were no Mobile Phones then, for me to connect home but I am still Standing – Halleluyah.

4. Start Small:

“Rome was not built in a day.”

Job 8:7 says, Though thy beginning was small, yet thy latter end should greatly increase.

5. Always Pray Fervently:

1 Thessalonians 5:17 say, Pray without ceasing.

When Nehemiah received the News of the broken down Walls at Jerusalem, he went into Prayer – Nehemiah 1:5-11.

Prayer is very important!

It is like when a tree wants to fall and somebody brings something to support it – it will be Strengthened.

6. Spend and be Spent:

Apostle Paul said in 2 Corinthians 12:15, And I will very gladly Spend and be Spent for you; though the more Abundantly I love you, the less I be loved.

Many of us are Storing Money somewhere – You are so conscious of the Money, and you can’t even spend it on yourself, not to talk of spending it on the Mark.

The Yorubas would say, “An empty mouth Produces no Sounds.” – “Enu ofifo ki ‘dun yomu-yomu.”

Something must be there!

God has been so amazing. I don’t find it difficult doing His work any longer – By the time I think about it, He will Provide.

Every Money you need, God will begin to Supply them to you – Amen!

Be Generous; the Money you have is not yours – God gave it to you.

May you spend it wisely!

7. Share Your Vision with Destiny Helpers:

Some People would say, “Somebody stole my Vision.”

I have a friend who would always tell them, “Why did you leave your Vision to be stolen? Why didn’t you use it immediately for the Assignment?”

It is because you were Procrastinating; that’s why God laid it in the heart of someone else, to do because the King’s Business requires haste.

Nehemiah shared his Vision with the King he was serving; and everything he needed for the Vision was Supplied.

Why are you hiding what God asked you to do? Please share it; and you will see how far God will enable you.

Nehemiah shared his Vision, and God Supplied all his Needs.

And I Pray God will Supply all our Need, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

8. Be Faithful to God:

1 Corinthians 4:2 says it Moreover it is required in Stewards, that a Man be found Faithful.

It is Profitable to serve God; but be Faithful.

9. No Stagnation: You must Move Forward.

When God has given you a Mark, make sure you do it. And at the same time, solidify them by moving to the next Mark.

Apostle Paul taught us in Philippians 3:14, I Press toward the mark for the Prize of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus.

Many of us are too comfortable where we are – We are not easy to direct again.

In this Year of Landmark, you must Move!

“No Waiting, No Stopping, No Parking – Move Forward.”

10. Use your God-given Talents, Gifting and Profession:

Some of you are Architects, Builders, etc; but when a Part of the Church building is cracking, you fold your hands as if you don’t know about about it.

Many of us have Gifts and Talents, but we don’t use them: because you feel, “I will not be Paid as a regular Person is Paid.”

Someone once said, “There is no free Service.”

Who gave you the ability to learn and acquire the Certificates you now have?

Brethren, you must have a Mark on the Land the Lord has given you. And you can only have it by using the Gifts, Talents and Professions God has blessed you with.

My Prayer for you today is that, your Certificates, Gifts, and Talents will not be used for the Enemy – Amen.

1 Peter 4:10 says, As every Man hath received the Gift, even so Minister the same one to another, as Good Stewards of the manifold Grace of God.

11. Always Give the Glory to God:

At every Mark God has helped you put on His Land; always return the Glory back to Him.

EXAMPLES TO LEARN FROM

1. Papa Noah:

In Genesis 8:20, after he had gone through the flood, he built an Altar unto the Lord – And Noah builded an Altar unto the LORD; and took of every clean beast, and of every clean fowl, and offered burnt offerings on the Altar.

Always give Glory to God – Every opportunity to serve is not by your Strength; but by the Spirit of the Living God.

2. Father Abraham:

In Genesis 12:7, he too built an Altar: And the LORD appeared unto Abram, and said, Unto thy Seed will I give this Land: and there builded he an Altar unto the LORD, who appeared unto him.

3. Jacob:

In Genesis 35:7, after going through Problems, he built an Altar. And he built there an Altar, and called the Place Elbethel: because there God appeared unto him, when he fled from the face of his brother.

Brethren, we have heard it all today:

• There is a Land own by our God, and it is for all of us.
• But there are some Marks we have to put on the Land.
• I have given you a List of Marks to put on the Land.
• I have given you Examples of the Marks.
• And God has led me to show you how to put the Mark on the Land.

WHEN DO I START?

You are to start Now!

2 Corinthians 6:2 says, (For he saith, I have heard thee in a time accepted, and in the day of Salvation have I succoured thee: behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of Salvation).

It is time for you to wake up; it is time for you to begin to Mark your Land with the right things to be put on it.

Is there anyone God is leading already to a Particular Mark even in the cause of the Teaching?

Start now! No more Procrastination.

I want you to tell God about it right away – He is the only One who can enable you.

So tell Him the Mark you want to put on the Land He has already given to you.

Cry unto the Lord now!
