OPENING PRAYER

Father Almighty, we bless Your Name.

Thank You because Your Name is Faithful and Your Name is Amen.

You are the Way, the Truth and the Life; You are the Unchangeable Changer; You are the Covenant Keeping God; You are so Reliable as it is impossible for You to fail.

We Worship You that we have a Reliable God as our Father.

Covenant Keeping God; Please accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.

My Father and my God, we trust You for all the Promises You have made to us.

Even those of them that are yet to be Fulfilled; Father fulfill today.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Well, you may want to greett one (1) or two (2) People and tell him/her that: God will be Faithful to you.

And then, you may Please be seated.

We are now moving to Part 31 in our Series: “For Whom The Heavens Open”.

And we will be looking at: Joshua 6: 26-27

26. And Joshua adjured them at that time, saying, Cursed be the man before the LORD, that riseth up and buildeth this City Jericho: he shall lay the Foundation thereof in his firstborn, and in his youngest son shall he set up the gates of it.
27. So the LORD was with Joshua; and his fame was noised throughout all the Country.

RECAP FROM OUR LAST SERIES

I. We have learnt of the danger of Ingratitude – That if we are Ungrateful, we are Placing ourselves under a Curse.

II. We have learnt about the Power of Gratitude – That among many other things, if you are Grateful, God will bless you beyond Expectations.

III. We have learnt that our God is a Covenant Keeper and so we His Children must also be a Covenant Keepers.

And that whenever we make a Promise, we must fulfill the Promise.

Today, we will come against something very somehow a little bit disturbing! – We see Joshua Placing a Curse on whoever will rise up to rebuild the City of Jericho!

And as we will find out – The moment he Pronounced the Curse, the City became Cursed!

It took several years down the Line for Elisha to come to Jericho to break this Curse.

A Curse is a very, very Powerful Force.

As a matter of fact, we have Probably learnt that the two (2) most Powerful Forces on Earth will be a Curse or a Blessing!

I’m Praying for those of you listening to me today or reading now on the Label; that if there is any Curse upon you or your family; may the Curse be destroyed today – Amen!

I said that this Place is a bit disturbing because it leads us to the Question – “CAN A CHRISTIAN PRONOUNCE A CURSE?”

So, we will be digging deep today as we remind ourselves one more time that – “There is time for everything (Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8).

1. As a Child of God, you need to know that there is Time to be a Lamb.

Following the Example of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself who of course is our Number One Example.

John 1:29; John said: Behold the Lamb of God who taketh away the sins of the world.

… Jesus Christ definitely was a Lamb.

As a matter of fact, in John 10: 17-18; Jesus Christ said that I lay down my Life and Nobody took it from me.

That was when they came to Crucify Him (Jesus Christ) and He told Peter that I could have told my Father to send a Legioj of Angels and all these People could have been wiped out. But I lay down my Life; afterall I am a Lamb.

2. But there is a Time also to be a Lion.

When you read Revelation 5: 5-6; the Bible spoke about the Lion of the Tribe of Judah. And it was talking about the Lord Jesus Christ..

Even while He was still here on Earth, in Matthew 21: 12-13; the Bible tells us that when He entered into the Temple and He saw those who are buying and selling there.

Oh, the Lion came forth – He wiped them, overturned their tables.

… it wasn’t the Lamb that was doing that but the Lion.

3. So, there is Time for every Christians to be as Gentle as a Dove.

Matthew 10:16, the Lord said that I’m sending you forth into danger and so I want you to be Gentle as a Dove but as Wise as a Serpent.

4. So, there is a Time to be Gentle as a Dove but Beloveth, there is a Time to resist even the devil.

There is a Time when the Lion in you must roar.

In James 4:7; the Bible made it clear that if you have Submitted to God; you are a Child of God.

Hey, you must Stand and fight the devil – Resist the devil and he will flee from you.

5. There is a Time to be a Worshipper.

John 4: 23-24; God says: God is a Spirit, those who Worship Him must Worship Him in Spirit and in Truth.

There is a Time when you have to be in Church, Worshipping God, Praising Him, Lifting Up your hands; to the Almighty God, Singing and Dancing beautifully,

6. But there is a Time to be a Mountain Mover.

You that is dancing just now, leading Worship, leading the Choir; there is a Time when you are to be a Mountain Mover.

Mark 11:23 – The Time that you the same Choir Master, Worship Leader, there is a Time you will tell Mountains to move,

For Example, in Acts 13: 6-12; Paul was Preaching and there was this Socerer disturbing him.

Gentle Apostle Paul, commanded that the Socerer be Blind for a Season.

Like I have always said, I wondered why he added “For a Season” – Because that Fellow could have died Blind.

But he moved the Mountain out of the way and the Governor gave his Life to Jesus Christ.

7. Are we to bless a Witch in the Church? Are we to bless Someone who is trying to hinder the work of God? – I’m not quite sure.

There is a Time to be Emotional, Gentle, Meek and Sympathetic.

Romans 12:15 says that we are to weep with those who weep.

I went to Comfort one of my sons some years ago – He lost his wife years before, remarried and then lost the Second wife.

I went there, encouraged him et cetera et cetera.

And it was time to go and I burst into tears. People began to say: Daddy, Daddy; you shouldn’t be crying.

Leave me alone! I told them that Jesus Christ Himself cried.

There is a Time like that – When you feel for Somebody who has gone through a Major Tragedy and you weep.

It is accepted as you are to weep with those who weep.

8. But there is a Time to Rebuke.

Isaiah 54:17 says: Hey, no weapon formed against you shall Prosper.

But it says every Tongue that rises up against you in Judgement; it didn’t say smile at it, it says thou shall rebuke.

… It is the Bible that says so – You must compare Scriptures with Scriptures.

9. There is a Time to raise the Dead.

In Acts 9: 36-41; Dorcas died.

Dorcas was a very Great Woman, very Generous and taking care of the Needy.

And they came to tell Apostle Peter – We have lost a very Great Benefactor; help us.

The Bible tells us that Peter went with them and when he got there; the People were there weeping, showing him all the Great Works this woman had done.

And so Peter went in, did what the Lord Jesus Christ did in the house of Jairus – Drove out all the Mourners, followed the Example of Jesus Christ and brought back Dorcas back to Life,

10. Whether you believed it or not, there is a Time to Kill.

The same Peter in Acts 5: 1-11; killed husband and wife in one Sunday Service.

Husband came and lied and Peter decreed his Death.

The wife came and lied again in cooperation with her husband and the same Peter said, go and join your husband in Hell.

There are Times to raised the Dead and of course Time to Kill.

Remember that it is written in Matthew 15:13 – Jesus Christ said that every Plants my Father did not Plant shall be rooted up.

I decree today that every Plants that God has not Planted in your Life, shall be rooted up – Amen!

How many of you remembered the Story of one Lady who must have been Demon Possessed who suddenly came and said that I am her husband.

How can I be your husband? I am happily married and I’m a Preacher? She said that you are joking.

I mean she came face-to-face with my wife and told her that you won’t let me marry him? I will kill you.

I called her husband and called the family – She didn’t yield.

I involved Senior Officers of the Police to tell her never to come to the Redemption Camp again – She wouldn’t Change.

And then I travelled to London – In those days, there was no Mobile Phones.

As I was entering the house where I was going to stay, the Phone rang. And who was on the other end of the Phone? The same woman!

She said, welcome.

I said who are you? She said so you don’t know my voice? She said that I am in the next bust stop and I will soon be with you.

Then I knew that I had a Problem.

And of course, I told her – You come here, the Police will Pick you up.

And then, I turned to God – God what am I going to do?

What is going on? I didn’t tell anyone that I was going to London. How did she know?

And the Almighty God said – As long as you allowed the Mountain to stay, it will stay,

I decreed that Mountain move – They brought her back to Nigeria in a coffin.

I decree today – Every Mountains in the Life of every Child of God listening to me today or reading now on the Label of DMC; the Mountain will move – Amen!

11. There is a Time to ignore a Fool.

Proverbs 26:4 says: Don’t answer a Fool.

… So, just ignore him.

12. But the same Proverbs 26:5 (The next Verse) says that you better answer a Fool or he may think that he is Wise.

So occasionally, you have to deal with a Fool and deal with such Fool firmly.

You will remember that during the Last RCCG Annual Convention 2023; that I asked you to Pray a Prayer when some Fools began to talk about me using Demonic Forces.

That if I’m lying and if I’m Pretending, that God should kill me before the following Morning.

Thank God I’m still here!

But Someone said: What are we going to do with those People who are making Noise?

I said that we don’t need to bother about them because God knows how best to deal with False Prophets. The only thing is that I won’t beg God to be Merciful unto them as I will just keep my mouth shut.

13. There is a Time to bless.

Romans 12:14 says, oh bless o and Curse not.

14. But you must also remember that there is a Time to Curse.

2 Timothy 4:14; Paul said Alexander the Coppersmith did me a lot of evil. He said that God will deal with him.

• You need to know that you are a Child of the Lamb and at the same time, you are the Child of a Lion.

In you, there is a Combination of the Lamb and the Lion!

What you need to Pray about today is that God should let you know when to be a Lamb and when to be a Lion – Amen!

• You must constantly remember that God is Love (1 John 4:8).

But also in Hebrews 12:29; He is also the Consuming Fire.

So, you want to ask the Question – Why did Joshua Cursed Jericho?

Because remember what he said – This City must never be rebuilt.

Anyone who wants to rebuild this City, he said that I Cursed the Fellow.

1. He (Joshua) was simply saying: According to Nahum 1:9 – Affliction must not arise the Second Time.

I. If you have been through “Serious Problems” and God brings you out; you reserved the right to decree that the Problem will never come again.

II. If Someone has caused you a lot of Problems; learn to forgive, learn to forget but take Precautions that the Fellow will never have the Opportunity to give you another Problem.

I have said it – If I have a Treasurer who steals my money.

I will forgive, I will forget but he will never be my Treasurer again.

I think that is what being Wise as a Serpent is talking about.

2. And you need to remember that it is whatever you allowed that will be allowed in Heaven.

Matthew 18:18 – That is where Jesus Christ says: Whatever you bind on Earth, will be bound in Heaven and whatever you loose on Earth, will be loosed in Heaven.

Do you want another Wall of Jericho across your Paths?

Do you want another Hindrance to block your Progress?

It is up to you – If you allowed it, it will be allowed; but if you reject it, it will be rejected.

Afterall, Proverbs 18:21 says: Death and Life are in the Power of the Tongue.

… It all depends on how you use it.

And Joel 22:28 says that you shall decree a thing and it will be established unto you.

I told you during the Last RCCG Annual Convention 2023 that if you Command every Sickness, every Diseases to leave your body and you mean it; the Suckness and Disease will obeyed you.

But if you will allow it to stay, it is up to you.

Now I Close with this Little Story:

Years ago, a Man was coughing very bad and we went to Pray for him.

And do you know what he said – Pray that my cough will be going small, small.

Why don’t you Command this thing to get out of here?

Are you the one coughing? – No sir!

Today, we are going to use the Power of your Tongue to decree that everything you don’t want in your Life be Cursed and they will get out of you – Amen!

God will grant your Request in Jesus Name – Amen!

ALTAR CALL

Now, for those of you who are not Born Again; you are still sinning because you allowed it.

The devil is still using you because you allowed the devil.

But you can make up your Mind – Devil, leave me alone now as I’m going to the Lord Jesus Christ and I’m going to the Light as I am tired of Darkness.

… And Jesus Christ will receive you!

So, if you will bow your Head now and cry to the Lord Jesus and say: Save my Soul, and I don’t want to have anything to do with the devil anymore.

And He will receive you!

Bow your Head now and I will Pray with you!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, I want to Thank You for Your Words and I want to Thank You for those who are making up their Minds now that they don’t want to have anything more to do with sin and Forces of Darkness.

Father, Please receive them; save their Souls; let Your Blood wash away their sins, set them Free from Yokes of Darkness and receive them into the Family of God.

And I Pray that from now on, the devil will stay away from them and whenever they Call on You, You will answer them by Fire.

As for all Your Children who are listening to us today or reading now on the Label of DMC; whatever they disallowed today, let it be disallowed in Heaven; let only what they allowed be allowed.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Now I rejoice with those of you who has given your Life to Jesus Christ today.

OPENING PRAYER

Our Father and our God – The All Sufficient God.

The One who is Higher than the highest, Greater than the greatest, Better than the best, Older than the oldest, Richer than the richest – We Worship You. Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

Today, in the lives of all Your Children; Please demonstrate Your Almightiness.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

We will move on to Part 28 of our Series: For Whom The Heavens Open; using Joshua as our Example.

We have learnt in the Last Series about “The Beauty of Silence” because we say that Wise People are usually Quiet and a Fool is known by the Multitude of words.

I am sure that since this Last Series, you Probably must have been re-examing your Relationship with some “Talkative People” – People that shouldn’t be your friend.

Because if they have Nothimg else to say in any case, they are likely to reveal your Secrets.

The Elders has a saying when they say: What the Wise Man said in Secret, you will hear it from the mouth of a Fool in Public.

… Learn to be Quiet – That is where the beauty of Silence lies!

But we want to move further on now – There are several other things still in Joshua Chapter 6. And there are still many, many more things we want to learn from the Life of Joshua.

So, we are going to Joshua 6:20 – Meaning that we have jumped many Verses.

At least that is the way I feel. If the Holy Spirit says No, go back and learn everything Verse by Verse, you trust me that I will obey Him.

But now; Joshua 6:20 – So the People shouted when the Priests blew with the Trumpets: and it came to Pass, when the People heard the sound of the Trumpet, and the People shouted with a Great Shout, that the Wall fell down flat, so that the People went up into the City, every man straight before him, and they took the City.

Today, I want to talk to you about: “THE POWER OF SHOUT”.

Everything about our God is Super – Supper Big, Gigantic etc.

There is Nothing small about God at all:

I. His Legs according to Isaiah 66:1 – His Leg reach all the way from Heaven to the Earth. Those Legs are long.

II. His Arms – Oh, they are Everlasting Arms.

Deuteronomy 33:27 – Underneath are the Everlasting Arms.

III. His Eyes – They are Big.

2 Chronicles 16:9 – His eyes can see the whole Earth as they are not small eyes.

IV. His Nose according to Exodus 16:8; it says that He breathe on the sea, the sea Parted and you must know that is not an “Ordinary Nose”.

V. His Ears – Waoh, are Big.

Psalms 65:2 says: Unto thee shall all flesh come, thou who heareth Prayers.

You can imagine the ear that can hear all the Prayers of all flesh at the same time!

VI. His Position – This is extremely High.

Psalms 91:1 calls Him “The Most High”.

Ecclesiastes 5:8 calls Him “The One who is Higher than the highest”.

VII. His Resources:

Psalms 24:1 says that the Earth is the Lord and the Fullness.

Haggai 2:8 says Silver is Mine, Gold is Mine.

The “Little” that you have in your hand; you got it from Him.

Psalms 50:10 – He says that all the Cattles upon the thousand Hills, they are mine.

VIII. His Power – When you talk about Super Power.

Psalms 62:11, my Father said: All Power belongs to me.

He is the Almighty; the All Sufficient – Genesis 17:1.

Everything about God is Super – Super Big, Super Large, Gigantic, Super Great.

And so you can understand that when He says when you are dealing with me; don’t treat me casually as I am not your toy, I am not your Size, I am not your Rank. Don’t treat me as you will treat your Earthly fathers and mothers or your Governor, and President as I am Super.

And so He says – If you want to eulogies me, if you want to Celebrate me, if you want to show me that you appreciate me; do it in a “Big Way”.

1. My Father said it in Psalms 47:1 – Clap your hands all ye People.

He is calling on everybody on Earth and He says: You want to Clap for me; all of you do it together.

Maybe the combination of all your Clappings will show your Appreciation of how Big I am.

2. And when you read Revelation 5:11; you will see the Size of His Choir.

The Bible calls His Angels, those who are singing His Praises – Thousands times Thousands; Ten Thousands times Ten Thousands and then Thousands of Thousands.

3. You know that the Almighty God said it in Psalms 98:28 – It says, this Human Beings; we don’t know how much we can trust them.

And so He said to the Oceans, keep Clapping – Let the Floods Clap.

That is why you find what we called the waves constantly – The waters in the ocean rising and crashing down (Clapping).

4. In Isaiah 55:12; He says that even the trees are to Clap.
5. And the Bible says that His Choir never rest Day and Night – Revelation 4:8.

They are always there singing – Holy, Holy, Holy; Non-Stop.

6. And like something which will explain to you why I ask you to shout Hallelujah.

Because it is a Preparation – I’m Preparing you for Heaven as Heaven is not a Quiet Place at all.

If you don’t like Noise, don’t go to Heaven.

Read Revelation 19:6 – It says that when they shout Hallelujah in Heaven, it sounds like a “Mighty Thunder”.

… I like that!

So, those of you listening to me now or reading now on the Label of DMC- May I just give you an opportunity to shout Hallelujah (Hallelujah!)

To get His attention, He expects all the People to Praise Him:

1. Psalms 67:5 says: Let the People Praise You, then our God will bless us and the whole Earth will fear Him.

He has the Ability to bless you in a Fearful Way!

He has a way of blessing you in such a manner that you will say: This is “Too Much” and He will say that I have not started.

He has a way of Anointing your Head with Oil and the cup will keep on running over and He will say that I have much more where this is coming from.

And I thank the Almighty God for the saying of the Elders – They said: When God decides to fight for you, by the time He finishes, even you will be afraid. That is God!

Now He said that if all the People will Praise Him; our God will so bless us that the whole Earth will fear Him.

2. And you know what – When somebody as Great as that is on the Move, it takes quite a bit of Noise to herald His coming,

When someone like the size of our God is on the Move:

I. You are likely to hear Noise.

In Acts 2: 1-4; on the Day of Pentecost, when all the People were in one accord; suddenly there was a Sound like a rushing Mighty Wind.

… A lot of Noise to say: Hey, God is on the way!

II. In 1 Kings 19: 9-12 – When He waa about to talk to Elijah, the Bible tells us that the Wind blew – Mighty winds breaking bones, stones and rocks.

God hasn’t come yet – That was just a Forerunner.

Then there was an Earthquake – Forerunner.

Then there was a Fire – Forerunner or Despatch Riders.

Before Daddy later arrived and then He spoke in that Small Still Voice.

III. In 1 Samuel 4: 4-5 – When the Ark of Covenant arrived in the Camp of the Israelites; there was so much shout that the Ground shook.

3. The Power of a shout is that God wants your “Full Attention”.

You want Him to do something for you; you want Him to Pull down your Wall of Jericho, you want Him to move the Immovable for you – He wants you to approach Him with your Full Attention!

Nobody shouts casually – When you shout, all that is within you will be involved.

You remember that David said – Bless the Lord Oh my Soul and all that is within me bless His Holy Name (Psalms 103:1).

If you shout, it is not just your voice doing the work now – Your Liver, your Heart, your Lungs and infact everything will be involved in a shout.

And Deuteronomy 4:29 says: Seek Him with all your Heart.

When the Bible says that He is listening to all the Prayers of all flesh – He is busy taking care of everybody in the whole world and you want to get His attention?

One Individual? He asked you to shout!

When He said – Clap your hands all ye People.

What did He say next? Shout unto God – He loves shouting.

He says: Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord, all ye the Earth.

Oh, I know that my “Respected Elders” will tell me that in the House of God, there should be Silence.

And believe me honestly, they have Passages to quote to support that – The Lord is in His Temple, let the whole Earth keep Silent before Him.

That is when He wants to talk so that you can hear Him.

That is true – How are you going to hear Him if He wants to talk and you are rowdy?

But He dwells in the Praises of His People – He comes in when you are Praising Him

But you enter His Gates with Thanksgiving, come into His Court with Praise – Praise Him, Shout, Jump.

Miracles can happen when you shout!

Some of you will remember the Story of a Lady – Wealthy Woman and she just discovered That she had a Problem; whatever she ate, she vomited.

And she went everywhere and the Doctors did all kinds of Tests on her but they couldn’t find anything wrong.

And she came to Ebute Metta (DMC NOTES: This is the National Headquarters Parish of RCCG in Lagos Nigeria) and I just said: Let everybody shout Hallelujah

As she opened her mouth to shout, out came a worm – That worm must have been Demonic because it didn’t appear on any of the Xray.

And that was the end of the Problem.

DMC NOTES: X-rays are a form of Electromagnetic Radiation, similar to Visible Light. Unlike Light, however, X-rays have higher energy and can pass through most objects, including the body. Medical X-rays are used to generate images of tissues and structures inside the body.

Maybe, Somebody should shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

He said shout! Why? Because you are His Children and He loves you.

And because He loves you, you are More than a Conqueror. And the Winning Side is a Shouting Side.

In 1 Samuel 17: 51-52; the Bible tells us that when the children of Israel saw that Goliath was dead. That the one who has been terrorising them for forty (40) days and forty (40) Nights, that his head was now in the Hand of David cut off; the Bible said that they shouted with a Big Shout.

And all of you who are Pretending that you can’t open your mouth to shout, that you are “Too Sophisticated” to shout, that butter can’t melt in your mouth; when you are on a Football field in a Stadium and your Team scores a goal, you forget that you are a Governor, President, Chief or Proffesor and you shout.

My Prayer for everyone of you is that you will never shout in Pain – Amen!

He says: Make a Joyful Noise – You are a Victor and Winners are always shouting.

4. You know in 1 Thessalonians 4:16; the Bible tells us that one of the ways that you will know that the Lord finally Returned is that the Lord Himself will descend with a Big Shout and there will be the Sound of Trumpet.

Oh, my Daddy loves Trumpet because it can make quite a Good Noise.

But let me Conclude because of Time:

When you are Stingy with Praising God, you rob yourself of many benefits.

In Acts 16: 25-end – Paul and Silas were in Prison; the People who put them in Prison are well known for killing People; Particularly Christians.

They gave Instructions to the Jailer – Make sure you keep them safe and not escape. Put them in Chains and a very Secured Place.

The Bible says that at Midnight, Paul and Silas Prayed and sang Praises unto the Lord – And they didn’t do it quietly.

The Bible said that the Prisoners heard them.

… Just two People, having a Night Vigil and every Prisoners in the Prison heard – They were not doing it Quietly.

And suddenly the Lord of Host arrived – Because He said that I am seeking for Worshippers (Anywhere People are Worshipping me; I will show up).

He showed up – What happened?

1. The Ground shook.

Because the One who arrived, His Legs are Big Legs and so anytime He is moving, the Earth begins to shake.

By the time He arrived, there will be an Earthquake.

II. Prison Doors were flung Open.

III. And because the Anointed One had come, Anointing destroyed the Yokes.

Everybody bonds were loosed.

IV. And the Jailers became their Servant.

The one who was supposed to keep them safe, was the one who washed their wounds and Provided food for them.

V. And by the following Morning, those who threw them in Prison came to beg them out.

A. Learn to Praise Him – Nobody can bind you.

B. Learn to Praise Him – There is no yoke that will be able to stay.

C. Learn to Praise Him – Your Enemies will become your Servants.

D. Learn to Praise Him – And those who are mocking you will come down and bow before you.

The Choice is yours!

The Next Time I asked you to Praise God, do it whichever way you like – Do it quietly or you do it with all your Strength.

ALTAR CALL

As for those of you who are not yet Born Again, how can you begin to Praise the One that you have not yet called Lord.

But if you Cross Over to His Side and now you begin to Praise Him like you ought to; you will experience the Power of Praise and your Life will never remain the same.

So, those of you who wants to give your Life to Jesus, you bow your Head now and call on Him to save your Soul.

Tell Him – Be my Saviour and I will be one of the “Loudest People” Praising You.

He will receive You, He will save Your Soul.

So call on Him and I will Pray with you now!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

So my Father and my God; from the bottom of my Heart, I am saying Thank You.

Thank You for Your Words and Thank You for all those who has made up their Hearts that from now on, they want to serve You, they want to Praise You in Spirit and in Truth.

Please receive them Lord, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins and receive them into the Family of God.

And now, anytime they shout unto You, destroy the Yokes in their lives.

As for those Your Children who are already Born Again – Everything that has been shutting their mouths; my Father and my God, remove it today.

And as they begin to Praise You with all their Strength; my Father and my God, let every Wall of Jericho fall before them and let Your Name forever be Glorified.

Thank You Father.

OPENING PRAYER

Holy One of Israel, the same Yesterday, Today and Forrever; the Unchangeable Changer, the One who can Change Sorrow to Joy, who can Change Failure to Success, Emptiness to Fullness – We Worship You.

Please, accept our Worship today in Jesus Name.

Father, we Pray that the Power in Your Word will reach out to Your Children today and bring us Victory out of defeat and bring us Joy out of Sorrow.

So that at the end of today; Your Name will be Glorified again.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Well, let us shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and tell them that my Father will reach out to you today – Amen!

And then, you may Please be seated!

I will move on to Part 27 in our Study – For Whom The Heavens Open.

And as you know, we have been using Joshua as our Case Study for quite a while now.

And our Bible Text today will still be: Joshua 6:10

And Joshua had commanded the People, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word Proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.

Last Week, we discussed that:

• Silence Preceeds a Shout.
• That we should be encouraged that Weeping may endure for a Night but Joy will come in the Morning.
• That at the very, very Beginning, Darkness was there before Light come.
• That there was Confusion before Order.
• That there was Emptiness before Fullness.

… And so on and so forth.

But today, we want to look at this same Passage (Joshua 6:10) and talk about: “THE BEAUTY OF SILENCE”.

Because Joshua told the People – Go round the Wall for six (6) Days and don’t say a word. On the Seventh (7th) Day, you are going to go round seven times and you won’t say a word until I say: Shout and then you Shout.

… There is beauty in Silence!

The Bible teaches that Probably the most Powerful Member of our body is “The Tongue”.

• It tells us that “The Tongue” is extremely Powerful.
• That “The Tongue” is the Steering of the entire body.
• That “The Tongue” can cost a lot of Damage, even as it can do a lot of Good.

1. As a matter of fact, Proverbs 18:21 tells us that Death and Life are in the Power of the Tongue.

That means that “The Tongue” can make alive and “The Tongue” can kill – A very small Part of the body but extremely Dangerous.

2. As a matter of fact, Proverbs 10:14 says that the mouth of the Foolish is near Destruction.

In other words, the mouth of the Foolish can even bring Destruction to the Fool himself.

3. James 1:26 says: If you don’t learn to Control your Tongue, all your Religious Activities are Null and Void.
4. The Bible made it clear in Ecclesiastes 3: 1 and 7 that there is a time for everything.

And one of the things that the Bible says there is time for is, a time to keep Silent – There is a time when you keep your mouth shut.

So, there is a Big Advice that I will want to give you today – That is “Be Wise”.

“Be Wise” – Learn to Control your Tongue!

5. Ecclesiastes 5:3 says: A Fool Voice is known by Multitudes of words.

That you are a Talkative, we don’t have to search further if we are looking for a Fool as we have already found one!

So, when you find out that there are some People who in any Gathering, they won’t even let Others talk – They just want to keep on talking; then you know that you are dealing with a Fool.

6. Proverbs 17:28 says something very, very interesting.

It says: If a Fool keeps Quiet, we won’t even know that he is a Fool.

That Somebody who keeps Quiet is considered as a Man of Understanding.

You know, if there is a Gathering of Professors and there is Somebody there who never did WAEC – As long as he didn’t say a word, People will think that he is one of the Professors.

It is when he opens his mouth that they will know – Oh, what are you doing here as you don’t belong here at all.

DMC NOTES: WAEC stands for the West African Examinations Council. It is an Examination Board established by Law to determine the Examinations required in the Public interest in the English-Speaking West African Countries, to conduct the Examinations and to award Certificates comparable to those of equivalent Examining Authorities Internationally.

And the Bible says several other things – It says the Man who shuts his lips is considered as the Man of Understanding (DMC NOTES: Proverbs 17:28).

If you know how to Control your Tongue, People will respect you.

7. Oh, but you have something that I want to say – Well, look at Proverbs 29:11.

It says: A Fool uttereth all his Mind but a Wise Man will keep Part of it behind.

Some People must talk and talk – They must tell you everything they have in Mind as they must say it all.

When you have Somebody like that, you know that you are dealing with a Fool and you should not befriend a Fool.

We have been quoting from the Book of Proverbs because we are quoting from a Man who was considered as the Wisest to live.

8. In Proverbs 17:27; he said: He that has Knowledge spares his words.

A Knowledgeable Man doesn’t talk much – When you see Somebody who is normally Quiet, he is a Man of Knowledge and Understanding.

9. And you know what? In Proverbs 10:19, Solomon said something again that is very important.

He says that out of the Multitudes of words, there wanteth not sin.

You keep talking and talking; you are going to say something that will bring you in conflict with God!

10. Because according to Matthew 12:38; Jesus Christ said that in the Day of Judgement, you are going to give an Account for every “Idle Words”.

Oh, I was just joking? – Well, come and explain.

11. Proverbs 6:2 says: Your Tongue can become a snare to you.

That you can be snared by the words of your mouth.

12. The reason why you should be careful in talking and talking without Control is that you might say something God will hear and God will say okay as I have heard in my ears, so will I do unto you – Numbers 14:: 26-30.

You remembered the Spies who were sent to spy the Land – They came back and said that it cannot be done and we can’t take the Land.

God said, fine. You won’t enter the Land because you have said so.

So, whenever God is speaking and you hear what God is saying and you are one of those Peoole who will jump up and say Impossible. God will say yes sir, but for you it will be Impossible.

13. Solomon said something that is very, very heavy in Ecclesiastes 9:17.

He said: Wise Men speaks Volume by being Silent.

In other words, they haven’t said a word and because they haven’t said a word, they have Spoken Volumes.

14. The Bible advices you Beloveth Children – Study to be Quiet (1 Thessalonians 4:11).

Study to be Quiet is an habit you have to acquire.

Learn from God Himself – God is never a Talkative.

The Bible says: God has spoken once and twice have I heard this that Power belongs to God!

When you heard the Second Time, it is the Echo that you are hearing.

Let there be Light – He said it only once and there was Light.

Follow the Example of God and you will discovered something very Precious – That Silence confuse your Enemies because your Enemies does not know what you are about to do because you have kept your mouth shut.

1. Take the Example of what happened to Samson in Judges 15: 11-14.

The Relatives of Samson came to bond him with the intention of handing him over to the Enemies.

They said, Promise me that you won’t attack me yourself because I don’t want to kill you as you are my Relative – They said that we will only bind you and hand you over to the Enemies.

I. They bound Samson – God said Nothing.

II. They brought him down from the Hill – God said Nothing.

III. They brought him to the Enemies – God said Nothing.

Why? Because God was waiting for the Enemies to surround him so that they won’t be able to escape.

God waited until the Enemies began to rejoice before He moved – You know the Story.

When God came down all of a sudden, and Samson took the Jawbone of an Ass, and killed a thousand of them.

How come was he able to deal with a thousand?

They were all surrounding Somebody they thought, now it is Victory – They were rejoicing over a Victory that they haven’t gotten.

By the time they realised what was happening, before they could scatter; a thousand was already gone.

Learn from God to be Quiet!

2. Let me give you another Example in Daniel 3: 1-end. This is a Beautiful Story to read.

I. A King raised up an Idol – God didn’t say anything.

II. The King said everybody must bow down to the Idol – God didn’t say a word.

III. They discovered that Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego didn’t obey – God didn’t say anything.

IV. The King said if you don’t obey, you are going to the Fiery Furnace – God was Watching.

V. The King said: Make the Fiery Furnace seven times hotter than before – God didn’t say a word.

VI. They bound Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego – God didn’t move.

VII. The Mighty Men threw them into the Fire and the heat of the Fiery Furnace killed the Mighty Men – God didn’t say a word.

Oh, the Enemies were thinking that they won because they are about to throw you into the Fire. At the end of the Day, we will see who the Fire will consume!

Look at the end of the Story – By the time Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego came out of the Fiery Furnace, what was it that the King said?

He said that there is no God like their God who can deliver like this!

Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were Promoted!

Learn from God – He knows how to confuse the Enemies by keeping Quiet.

3. Look at another Example in Daniel 6: 1-end.

I. When the Enemies of Daniel were Planning how to get him to the Den of Lion – God said Nothing.

II. By the time they threw Daniel in – God said Nothing.

But you know the result – By the time they Pulled out Daniel the following Morning; all the Enemies of Daniel ended up in the Den of Lion.

Who was Laughing at the end of the Story?

God was Silent in other to give His Son Complete Victory – Nobody ever bothered Daniel after that.

Learn to be Quiet – I know that it is very difficult for many of us as:

• We want to talk
• We want to defend ourselves
• We want to tell the whole world this is my own side of the Story.

But why don’t you just keep your mouth shut and let God be God!

4. But the one that I am sure that you will find most interesting is on the case of God the Father and God the Son.

I. In the Garden of Gethsemane; Jesus Christ cried: Almighty God, all things are Possible for You. Take this Cup away from me – But Daddy said Nothing (DMC NOTES: This is recorded in Matthew 26:39; Mark 14:36; Luke 22:42 and John 18:11).

II. On the Cross, He cried: My Father, my Father; where are You? – God didn’t say a word. (DMC NOTES: This is recorded in Matthew 27:46; Mark 15:34).

He didn’t say a word until the Ressurrection Morning – He allowed them to kill His Boy, allowed them to bury Him, allow them to roll a huge Stone at the mouth of the Graveyard.

But then, He speaks in Matthew 28: 1-6.

On the Ressurrection Morning, an Angel came, rolled away the Stone, sat on the Stone and said alright now, it is my turn. Anybody who wants to roll this Stone back will have to get me up from here first.

Why was God Quiet?

So that according to Revelation 1:18 – His Son can Proudly say: I am the Alpha and the Omega; I was the One who was alive and who was dead and now I’m alive Forevermore. And now, I have the keys of Death and Hell.

Learn from God – Learn to be Quiet. Some of us still talk “Too much” and we need to learn to be Quiet.

And I have tried as much as I could to demonstrate this to my children but they still haven’t learnt the Lesson and you need to learn the Lesson.

Probably one more important Point – Don’t let your mouth destroys you!

Because if you read the Story in 2 Kings 7: 1-end – A Man of God gave a word of Prophesy and say that within 24 hours, there will be Abundance.

And a Chief said that even if God were to open the Windows in Heaven, can these things be?

The Man of God turned to him and said: Alright, you will see it with your eyes but you will not Partake of it.

My Beloveth Children – From time to time, God has spoken. He has said things that are difficult to believe.

I beg you, if you don’t believe the Word of Prophesy, just keep your mouth shut because God will do whatever He said that He will do whether you believed it or not.

The Bible says that: Let all Men be liars but God will be True.

If everybody denies Him, He can’t deny Himself

This is very important – Particularly for those of us in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

We should learn from the Track Records of God that when He says this is what I want to do; that is what He wants to do.

If you don’t believed, keep your mouth shut – Stop saying that it can’t be, it cannot be done because He will do what You say it cannot be done. Then He will allow you to see it but you won’t Partake of it.

There were several People who didn’t believed me when I told them way back in 1981that God said: Son, don’t ask me for a house because I have decided to build for you a City.

Those who laughed then – Many of them are still alive today. But they are not enjoying in the Redemption City.

There are several things that God Promised those of us in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – Some of them are very difficult to believe.

If you don’t believed, just keep your mouth shut because God will be God!

So today, I will ask you to cry to God and say just like David said: Lord, don’t let my mouth destroy me!

ALTAR CALL

As for those of you who are not Born Again, you have inside your mouth a Tongue that the Bible says has the Power of Death – It can kill.

Why don’t you come and Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ; so that He can take Control of that Tongue and that Tongue can bring you Life.

I’m sure that you are Wise enough to know that it is with the mouth that you declare war, it is with the mouth that you declare Peace.

That is why He wants you to use that mouth to confess Him aa the Lord – The One who is the Ressurrection and Life and He will take over your Life and things will continue to get better and better for you from now.

So, if you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ, Please bow your Head wherever you are.

And with your own mouth, call on Him and say: Have Mercy on me, save my Soul, take over my Life and I will serve You for the rest of my Life.

Call on Him now and I will Pray for you!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

And so my Father and my God, I want to bless Your Holy Name.

I want to give You all the Glory and Honour for Yoir Words.

And I want to Thank You over those People who has decided to confess You now as their Lord and Saviour.

Please receive them, have Mercy on them, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins.

And even as they have confessed You as Lord, Please Loud become their Lord and Saviour.

From now on, let their Tongue only bring them Good Constantly.

Father, I’m Praying for all Your Children who are already yours; every evil that they have already Planted for their Future with their Tongue; my Father and my God, I Pray that today such will be completely wiped out by Your Blood.

That from now on, Your Children will only use their Tongues to Praise You and to Pray and to decree that their tomorrow will be alright.

So let it be Lord.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Now, those of you who has given your Life to Jesus Christ; I want to rejoice with you. And I’m Promising you with my Tongue that by the Grace of God; I will be Praying for you.

So, if you will let me have your names, your Addresses and your Prayer Requests as soon as Possible, I Promise that I will be Praying for you.

OPENING PRAYER

Father Almighty, we Worship You.

We are saying Thank You very, very much for giving us yet another New Week.

We Thank You for all You have done for us in the Past; we Thank You for what You are doing right now and we Thank You for what You will do in Future – Please, accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.

Thank You for Yesterday, Thank You for Today, Thank You for Tomorrow and Thank You because we have a God who is always Constant; a God who is always “I Am” – Please, accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

Today, in a very, very Special Way; speak to us, encourage us and Lord God Almighty, give us Peace.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

We are now moving on to Part 26 in our Series: “For Whom The Heavens Open” using Joshua as our Case Study.

And our Bible Text is Joshua 6:10:

And Joshua had commanded the People, saying, Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word Proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.

We had already looked at:

I. The Instructions given to Joshua by the Representative of the Lord of Host; how the battle is to go.

II. We have been told that the People are to go round the Wall of Jericho once a Day for six (6) days and then on the seventh (7th) Day, they were to shout.

And God had Prophesised that “The Wall” will come down that Day.

III. We had discussed a little bit about the Theology of Numbers: 1, 2, 3 on and on up to 7.

IV. And now, we have Joshua taking over from where we are now.

And in Joshua 6:10; Joshua had Commanded the People saying – Ye shall not shout, nor make any noise with your voice, neither shall any word Proceed out of your mouth, until the day I bid you shout; then shall ye shout.

The Angel had come and had done his own job – Now, the Captain of the People (Joshua himself) now took over.

He told the People – You are to go round the Wall once a Day for six (6) Days and on the 7th Day, you are going to shout.

But those Days when you are going round once a Day; “Shut your mouth” – When it is time to shout, I will tell you.

Again, we have a Section of the Scriptures that is loaded with meaning.

But today, we will just take one aspect of this Passage to bring a word of Encouragement to Someone.

I believed that the Sermon of today is for Someone in Particular – I believed that God wants me to tell Someone: “SILENCE PRECEEDS A SHOUT”.

Whoever that Fellow may be – God wants you to know that:

1. Darkness come before Light!

In Genesis 1: 1-3; in the very Beginning when God created the Heavens and the Earth; there waa Darkness before God said: Let there be Light and then there was Light.

In John 9: 1-7; there was a Man who was born blind and he was blind for forty (40) years before Jesus Christ came on the scene and Changed his Darkness to Light.

In the same John 9: 24-25; when some People were arguing about whether or not Jesus Christ was actually a Sinner or not; the blind Man said, whether He is a Sinner or not I don’t know but I know one thing: Whereas I was blind but now I see.

Whoever you are Struggling with the Present situation you have found yourself; my Daddy wants me to encourage you – After Darkness, there will be Light (Amen).

2. At the very Beginning when God created the Heavens and the Earth, the Bible says that first, there was Confusion.

It says that the Earth was without Form (Confused) before God said: Let there be Light and then Order came.

There is Confusion before Order!

In Mark 5: 2-20, in the Story of the Mad Man of Gadara.

Because of Demonic Activities in the Life of that Man, he was in Confusion – He was cutting himself with stones and doing things that will normally destroy him.

But after Jesus Christ came on the scene, the Bible reports that when the crowd came; they found him in his “Right Mind”.

That means he was in his “Wrong Mind” before – He was confused. But he is now seated, dressed and calm.

The Man ended up becoming an Evangelist for the Almighty God.

Are you in a Confused State right now? Then this Message is for you from the Almighty God that “Order is on the way!” – Amen!

3. The Bible tells us that at the Beginning when God created the Heavens and the Earth, the Earth was not only without Form but it was empty.

But after God said: Let there be Light; suddenly everything that you can think of, that was created later on came in Multitudes – Fish was Multitude in the Sea; Bird was Multitude in the Air; Animal was Multitude on the Land.

Therefore, Emptiness comes before Fullness!

In Luke 5: 1-7; Peter fished All-Night and caught Nothing until Jesus Christ stepped in. And all of a sudden, he caught so much fish that his boat cannot even contain them all.

He (Peter) was Empty before but now Overflowed!

When you read 1 Samuel Chapters 1 and 2; you will found out that Hannah was barren – She was Empty!

But by the time we get to the end of the Story, she had six (6) children – She was empty before but later on become Full.

Are you Empty?

You are listening to this Message or reading now on the Label of DMC – Are you Empty Physically, Materially or Maritally? In the Name that is above every other name, your Emptiness will soon give way to Fullness – Amen!

4. The Evening comes before the Morning!

In Genesis 1:5 and throughout the rest of Genesis Chapter 1; the Bible kept on telling us: “And the Evening and the Morning, first Day, Second Day et cetera et cetera.

God’s Day starts in the Evening!

So, that is Good News for those of you who might be weeping right now – Psalms 30:5 tells us clearly that: Weeping may endure for the Night, Joy Cometh in the Morning.

So, if you are in Sorrow right now, I have Good News for you because “Silence Preceeds a Shout”; your Joy is on the way!

5. The Almighty God made it clear in His Words that Crisis Preceeds Triumph.

In Isaiah 43:2; He says that if you are Passing through a River, it is not going to Overflow you; if you are Passing through Fire, it is not going to burn you.

In 2 Kings 4: 1-7; the Widow of the Son of the Prophet was about to be swallowed by Death – She was about to loose the two (2) sons that she has left but the Almighty God Intervened.

Are you in Crisis? You are coming out – Amen!

In Daniel 3: 1-end – Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego were definitely in Crisis. The devil Planned something terrible, knowing fully well that these boys are not going to bow to Compromise to any Idol.

He (Devil) arranged for them to be thrown into the Fire, seven times hotter than before because they refused to Compromise.

But you know what? They came out of the Fire to be Promoted.

Are you in Crisis? Very soon, you will be shouting for Joy – Amen!

6. At times, Death comes before Ressurrection.

In John 11: 1-44; when Lazarus was sick God knows as Jesus Christ was informed. But the Bible says that He waited for four (4) days before he started coming.

When they were reporting the situation to Him – They told Him that “That Man thou loveth is sick”. But He still waited.

Because when finally He called him out of the Grave after four (4) days – Oh, I wasn’t there but I’m sure that there must have been lots of shout Hallelujah that Day.

Are you going through a Period of Sorrow? Very soon, in your family there will be shout of Hallelujah – Amen!

7. Lost always come before Gain.

In John 12:24; the Bible tells us that except a corn of wheat falls into the Ground and die, it abides alone. But if it dies, then Multiplication begins.

God knows what He is doing – He is working out His Purpose out in your Life.

It might be a Period of Silence but a time of shouting will soon come – Amen!

8. But you need to know that “Total Surrender” to the Will of God, must come before you can begin to experience this Promotion.

You need to Study the case of the Lord Jesus Christ Himself in Philippians 2: 5-11.

You are admonished to follow His Example – That He went down steadily in Obedience to God till He died on the Cross.

But at the end of it all, He got a Name that is above every other name – That at the Name of Jesus Christ; every knees should bow!

In 1 Kings 19: 19-21; Elisha surrendered all to follow Elijah.

He was the son of a Wealthy Farmer, he was going to inherit a very Wealthy Business but he surrendered all.

And in 2 Kings 2: 1-15; he (Elisha) was given an opportunity to Change his Mind three (3) times but he refused.

At the end of the Day, the one who became a Servant of a “Homeless Prophet”; became the father of all Prophets in the Land,

… You have to go down before you can go up!

When you read the Story of Esther – You can read the entire Book as it is a very beautiful Book. It will be a Good reading for a Sunday Afternoon.

Situation got to a Stage where Esther had to say in Esther 4:16 – She said: I Surrender; if I Perish, I Perish.

But she didn’t Perish because you can’t have God on your side and still Perish.

At the end of the Day in Esther 8:1; she inherited the house of her Enemy.

The Bible is clear – The Wealth of the Wicked is stored up for the Righteous.

9. Every Child of God must know that before any Testimony, there will be a Test!

There are some People who tried to Play around with the word Testimony.

They say: A Testimony is the result of the Test that I had and now here comes my Victory!

In 1 Kings 17: 8-16; the Widow of Zarephath was given a Tough Test.

You have one Meal left for you and your son to eat and die and the Man of God said: Go and cook but give me a bit of it first.

It was a Tough Test but she Passed the Test.

And for the next three years Plus, she had a Daily Testimony.

It does not matter what you are going through now – Weeping may endure for the Night but Joy is coming in the Morning (Amen).

10. And the Greatest Encouragement that I want to give you from this Passage today is that: It doesn’t matter how terrible your Past had been, it does not Stand in the way of a Glorious tomorrow!

In 1 Timothy 1:15; Paul described himself accurately as Someone who used to be a Chief among Sinners – But that was in the Past,

Later on, he was to write in 2 Corinthians 11:5 – He said that I am a Chief among the Apostles.

He had a “Horrible Past”, but he had a “Glorious Future”.

Don’t let the Devil ever tell you that you have done so many evils that Gid can never make use of you again!

He can use a Murderer, He can a Kidnapper and He can use a “419 Man” for His Glory.

All you have to do is to hand over your Life to the One who Controls tomorrow – And your Weeping may endure for the Night but Joy comes in the Future!

Today might be the Day of Silence in your Life but tomorrow, there will be shout of Hallelujah!

ALTAR CALL

And so, I’m calling on those of you who has not yet surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ – The only thing standing between you and your Present terrible situation and a Glorious Future is a Total Surrender to the One who is both the Alpha and Omega; the One who Controls Times and Seasons; the One who said I am the Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending and the One of whom it is written: Christ in you, the Hope of Glory.

You Surrender your Life to Him today, you might even end up becoming a Great Evangelist for God.

But the Choice is yours – You can stay in the Dark or Cross Over to the Light.

If you want to Change your Mind and Cross Over to the Light of God, bow your Head now.

Cry to Jesus Christ for Salvation – Ask Him to save your Soul, ask Him to take over your Life and ask Him to give you a Brand New Beginning.

And I will Pray for you and He will save your Soul.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

And so my Father and my God, I want to Thank You for Your Words.

I Thank You for that Particular Person that you are encouraging today.

I Thank You for those who has heard this Message and they want to Surrender their lives to You.

Father, Please receive them, save their Souls, have Mercy on them, let Your Blood wash away their sins and give them a Brand New Beginning. Don’t let them ever go back to the world.

And my Father and my God, I’m Praying for all Your Children listening to me today or reading now on the Label of DMC – Those who are Particularly going through a Rough Time; I Pray that though they may be in the Period of Silence now, their shout of Joy will come very soon.

OPENING PRAYER

Our Father and our God, we Worship You. There is no One like You, You live forever and You are never Limited by anything – You are not Limited by Age, Death, Resources; because all things belong to You.

You are the All Sufficient God, You are God and God alone – We Worship You.

Father, we want You to know that we are Proud of You – We are Proud to be Your Children and we are Proud that our Father is so Great, so Wonderful, so Powerful. Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

We are here again Lord God Almighty and it is written that in Your Presence, there is Fullness of Joy.

Let our Joy be Full today!

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and tell him or her – Your Joy will be Full today!

And then, you may Please be seated.

We are now on Part 25 of our Series: “For Whom The Heavens Open!

And we have been using Joshua as our Case Study.

And we bless the Name of the Lord that He has been giving us Revelations upon Revelations from the Life of this Great Man of God.

Our Bible Text still remains Joshua 6: 3-5 – Even though our focus will be on Verse 4 today.

Joshua 6:3-5:

3. And ye shall compass the City, all ye men of war, and go round about the City once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
4. And seven priests shall bear before the Ark seven Trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the City seven times, and the Priests shall blow with the Trumpets.
5. And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the Trumpet, all the People shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the City shall fall down flat, and the People shall ascend up every man straight before him.

We have been looking at this Passage now for a couple of our Series:

• We have discussed the Routine of going round the City once a Day for six (6) Days.
• And then in the Last Series (Part 24); we discussed the Issue of the Number Seven (7). And that every Numbers has its own Significance.
• We spoke Particularly about Number Seven (7) being the Number of Perfection, Rest, Blessedness and Breakthrough.

But there is something in Verse 4 of our Bible Text (Joshua 6:4) that we cannot ignore:

And seven Priests shall bear before “THE ARK” seven Trumpets of rams’ horns …

Meaning that: The Ark of the Covenant of God is to go with them as they go round the City!

The Greatest Secret of Success is “Divine Presence”.

If God is Present with you, you just keep on Succeeding as it is not Possible for you to fail if God is going with you everywhere that you go!

1. In Genesis 39: 1-3; the Bible tells us that God was with Joseph.

It was because God was with him (Joseph) that is why He found Favour as God was with him even in Slavery.

In Genesis 39: 20-23; the Success of Joseph in the Prisonyard was because God was with him.

2. In Exodus 3: 7-12; when God told Moses that I want you to go to Egypt and bring my People out.

And Moses said: Lord, aren’t you forgetting something – I am a Fugitive, as I ran away from Pharaoh. Now, you want me to go and tell him to let go the People he has kept in Bondage for hundreds of years.

God said that I will give you one assurance – I will be with you.

3. In Joshua 1: 1-5; when God spoke to a Servant – You are to become Head of State and where your Leader failed, you are going to Succeed.

He (God) told Joshua – As I was with Moses, I will be with you.

4. In 1 Samuel 17: 33-37; when King Saul said to David – You can’t fight Goliath as you are a Little boy. Goliath is a Veteran as he has been a Warrior from birth.

And David said that I have killed a Lion before, I have killed a Bear before; the God who was with me then will take care of this Goliath.

Saul said: Go and the Lord be with you!

5. In Jeremiah 1: 1-8; when God said to Jeremiah that I am going to send you to this Rebellious Nation.

But Jeremiah said: But I am a “Small Boy” and I don’t even know how to speak et cetera et cetera.

God said: Don’t look at their faces; I will be with you.

6. In Acts 10:38; the Bible says: How God Anointed Jesus Christ of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power, who went about doing Good and healing all that were oppressed of the devil.

Why? For God was with Him!

7. In Mark 16: 15-30; Jesus Christ told the Disciples – I want you to go into the whole world and continue to Preach the Gospel to every Creatures.

As you go, Signs will follow you – You will cast out Demons, you will heal the sick et cetera et cetera.

The Bible said that they went everywhere – Miracles, Signs and Wonders began to happen because God was working with them.

The Greatest Secret of Success is Divine Presence.

And so I Pray in the Name that is above every other name that everyone of you listening to me today or reading now on the Label of DMC; God will be with you – Amen!

Now, the Ark of Covenant is the Symbol of Divine Presence – That is what the Ark of Covenant represents.

Where the Ark of Covenant goes, God goes!

In 1 Samuel 4: 1-8 – When the children of Israel were facing battle with the Philistines and the Philistines were winning.

The Elders says: Hey, we know why we are losing – The Ark of the Covenant is not here. Let us go and get it!

So they sent home and brought the Ark of Covenant to the Camp.

When the Ark of Covenant arrived, they shouted loud!

The Philistines heard the shouting, and said: What is going on? And they said that the Ark of Covenant had come to the Israelites Camp.

The Philistines were frightened – God has come to battle. And they said: Ha, we are downfall. Who is going to deliver us from this God?

When you look at Numbers 14: 39-45 – After the Spies came back from spying the Land and they said that we can’t go into the Land because the Land eat up their Inhabitants thereof et cetera et cetera.

And God sent Moses to tell them – Alright, tell them that if they don’t want to go, then they won’t go. You are going to Perish.

They said that we are sorry and we are ready to go.

Moses said that it is “Too Late” now as you can’t go anymore. God has said that the way is shut against you.

They said that we will go!

Moses said fine, it is up to you if you want to go. But the Ark of Covenant will not go with you.

The Bible said that they went without the Ark of Covenant and the Enemies dealth with them.

Don’t go to war without the Presence of God!

Now, the Ark of Covenant – Representing the Presence of God is so Powerful that no Demon can withstand it!

In 1 Samuel 5: 1-3 – When the Philistines captured the Ark of Covenant.

Hey, we have gotten that thing these People (Israelites) relied upon and it is now in our Possession. And they put it in the house of their God – Dagon by name.

By the time they returned the following Morning, Dagon was lying down flat – Bowing to the Ark of Covenant of God.

They said: Dagon, what are you doing? Don’t shame us. They picked up Dagon and set it on its feet again.

When they returned the following Morning, according to 1 Samuel 5: 4-5; Dagon is no longer not just on his face; his head is broken and his hands were gone.

You can’t fight God and wins – If He knocks you down, it is to warn you. If you get up again, and said that you want to continue the fight; then you will lose your head.

But why have I brought the Ark of Covenant before you today?

Am I asking you to go and search for where the Old Ark of Covenant is, so that you can bring it to your house? – No!

The Truth of the matter is that you can become an Ark of Covenant for God!

You said: How? It is very Simple!

Revelation 3:20 says: Behold, I Stand by the door and I knock. If any Man will hear my voice and open the door to me; I will come in unto him and begin to live with him – Eating and Drinking.

And remember that wherever God is, that is where the Ark of Covenant is.

In John 14:23; Jesus Christ said that if you Love me, you will keep my Words; then my dad will Love you. And then both of us will come in and live in you.

What do you need to do?

• Love Jesus Christ.
• Obey His Commandments
• Himself (Jesus Christ), and His Father will Love you and they will both come in and live in you.
• So wherever you go, it will be the Ark of Covenant going,
• What will follow? And then you will win every battle.

2 Corinthians 2:14 – It says that we should give Glory to God who always causes us always to Triumph.

Because where the Ark of Covenant is, there is Victory!

1 John 4:4 says: Little children, you have overcome them.

Why? Because Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world.

Why have you overcome now Little children?

Because you are now the Ark of Covenant of God – You are carrying inside of you the Greater One.

So that wherever you go, all you need to do is to say – In the Name of Jesus Christ and Knees will begin to bow (Philippians 2: 9-11).

When Jesus Christ is in you; the devil knows that here comes an Ark of Covenant – You may not appreciate it but it is True!

I quickly remind you the Story of one Young Fellow who went somewhere and came back loaded with Demons – So loaded with Demons that he couldn’t sit down, he couldn’t stand up but can only lie down like a Vegetable.

And they brought him to the RCCG National Headquarters Parish at Ebute Metta in Lagos State Nigeria.

And I saw him and guided by the Holy Spirit, I said to him that I want to Pray with you and that he should kneel down. And he said that I can’t kneel down.

I said that I Command you to kneel down. He said that in whose Name? And I said in the Name of Jesus and he said that is different and he knelt down.

I Prayed for him and casted the Demons out of him.

And after that, I said get up and he said that I can’t stand up.

I said that I Command you to stand up. And he said in whose Name?

… Oh, how sweet the Name of Jesus is!

I said in the Name of Jesus and he said that is different.

He got up and I told him to go home, take his bath and go to work. He said that I can’t walk.

I said that I Command you. He said in whose Name? And I said in the Name of Jesus.

And I’m commanding today that every Mountains before everyone of you listening to me now or reading now on the Label of DMC; will move in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

In Acts of the Apostles 8: 5-8; the Bible said that when Philip got to Samaria, Full of the Holy Spirit; it is as if the Ark of the Covenant has arrived.

The Bible says: Demons were screaming and getting out; so that the whole City became safe and there was Great Joy in the City.

Go to your City as an Ark of the Covenant of God – Christ is in you, God the Father is in you, the Holy Spirit is in you. You are an Ark of Covenant of God and so go and chase out every Demons in your City.

But I must tell you the whole Truth – Why the Power of the Ark of the Covenant of God remained Solid; it can be trouble in the wrong hands!

Remember the Story in Acts of the Apostles 19: 11-17 – The Bible says that God Performed Special Miracles by the Hand of Paul so that even his Handkerchiefs was getting rid of Demons.

And then some People said that we see what you are doing – You are just calling the Name of Jesus and these Demons are fleeing.

And so they saw a Mad Man – And they said in the Name of Jesus that Paul Preaches, Demons get out!

The Demon said: Jesus Christ I know, Paul I know – I know a Carrier of Jesus; but who are you?

In 1 Samuel 5: 6-11 – When the Philistines took the Ark of Covenant of God to Ashdod; Ashdod got into trouble.

And so they sent the Ark of Covenant to Gath; Gath got into a “Bigger Trouble”.

So, they sent it to Ekron; the People in Ekron (DMC Notes: The Ekronites) saw the Ark of Covenant coming and they shouted in fear – They wanted to kill us.

You can be an Ark of God if you are willing to live Holy!

• It is dangerous to be an Ark of God and live a Careless Life.
• It is dangerous to be an Ark of God and live in sin.

I’m telling you that you can begin to operate as from today as an Ark of God – Casting out Demons, Healing the Sick, becoming a Carrier of Joy and Deliverance wherever you go; Provided that you are willing to live Holy!

Remember what Jesus Christ said – If you will Love me and keep my Commandments, my Father will Love you and my Father and I will come and dwell in you.

Don’t forget the Details:

• You must Love Him (God).
• You must keep Hiis (God) Commandments.

I. And don’t forget that one of His Principal Commandments is that you occupy till He comes.

II. One of His (God) Principal Commandments is that you will keep on Winning Souls.

Let me Close with this:

It is a very dangerous thing to be an Ex-Ark of God!

It is better that you have never been an Ark of God, than to be an Ex-Ark of God!

Do you know what that means?

Better not to have been saved, than to be a Backslider!

1 Samuel 10: 1-12 – Saul was a farmer’s boy but he was Anointed by Samuel (He Poured Oil on him).

And he told him that you are no longer Ordinary – The Spirit of God will be dwelling in you.

And as He turned to go, the Bible says that the Holy Spirit took him over and the farmer’s boy began to Prophesy. So much such that all the Prophets are saying: Ha, Ha; is this not Saul? Is he one of the Prophets?

But by the time we get to 1 Samuel 16: 1-14; after Saul now had become “Too Big” for his shoes; after he disobeyed God in 1 Samuel Chapter 15 – The Bible said that when the Spirit of God left King Saul, an Evil Spirit from God troubled him.

I can Congratulate you and say: Now, you understand that you are an Ark of God.

You are Born of God, you Love God, you Love the Lord Jesus Christ, God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit dwelling in you; but never Dream of Backsliding. Not even once because Nature has no Room for Vacuum.

If the Spirit of God leaves you, the space will have to be occupied by the Spirit of the devil and the end will be worst than the beginning!

It is our Prayer that the Almighty God who has been dwelling in you will remain there Permanently – Amen!

ALTAR CALL

As for those of you who has not given your Life to Jesus Christ and you say if that is the case, I don’t think that I want to be a Child of God.

Do you know what that one means?

It means that there is something already dwelling in you.

Remember that there is no Room for Vacuum in Nature – If God is not in you, then Somebody is in there.

Each time you tell a lie, the Bible says that you are speaking as a Child of your father. And it says that the father of lies is satan.

So, if you have ever told a lie before, you know who is dwelling in you.

But you can chase him out today by coming to the Lord Jesus Christ and Surrendering your Life to Him.

And then, Jesus Christ will come in.

And you know what? Very soon, wherever you go, you will be going as an Ark of God, Triumphing in every situations.

So, if you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ; will you Please bow your Head and cry unto Him and say:

Hey, II’m opening my Heart unto You, come in Please – Save my Soul, come and dwell in me and I will serve You for the rest of my Life.

And I will Pray with you now for your Salvation!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, I want to say Thank You once again for Your Words.

And Thank You for these People who has Chosen now to open their Hearts to you so that you can come in.

Please, save their Souls, forgive all their sins, let Your Blood wipe away all their sins, write their names in the Book of Life and come and dwell in them.

From now on, when they cry to You, answer them by Fire and let them serve You to the End.

And Father, I’m Praying for all Your Children who are already Yours – Thank You for the realisation that they are Arks of Covenant, walking about, carrying You wherever they go.

Please Lord God Almighty, everyday let them Triumph and don’t let them ever Backslide.

Uphold them till the very End Lord!

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
