OPENING PRAYER

King of kings, Lord of lords, The Eternal One, the Holy One; the Unchangeable Changer, the Ever Loving God, Ever Dependable God, Ever Reliable God;

Thank You for Who You are, Thank You for Your Generosity. Thank You that You love us with an Everlasting Love. What a Good God; Not as a result of what we have done, but You just determine to LOVE us. We say THANK YOU!

All of us, as a member of the Body of Christ; we Worship and we Adore Your Name today. Please, accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus!

Our Father and our God, we are sitting around Your Table today, to share in this Digging Deep, we ask that Your Spirit will take us DEEPER;

Lord, You will open our understanding to Your Word; both those of us here, and the people at the other end even reading on the Label of DMC, all of us together, let the Light of Your Countenance shine over our understanding, in the Name of Jesus!

Let there be Healing, let there be Salvation, let there be Signs and Wonders.

Lord, terminate long standing issues in the lives of the People of God, in the Name of Jesus!

Let the Touch of God, that bring Signs and Wonders, touch every one of us.

Father Almighty, I ask oh God, even as I’m standing here by the delegation of our father in the Lord; help me oh God, not to do violence to Your Word. Take Possession of my head, my heart and my mouth.

And that at the end of this day, Oh God, You will take all the Glory: We Thank You our Maker!

And when our life ends here, let us reign Eternally with You!

We Bless and Praise Your Name oh God; in Jesus’ Most Wonderful Name we Pray – Amen!

Let someone shout hallelujah – Hallelujah!

We want to appreciate the Name of the Lord for another privilege that my father in the Lord has given unto me to stand in this Place; I never take it for granted.

And I Pray that God will continue to increase him; from Glory to Glory, from Honour to Honour, from Anointing to Anointing, and from Favour to Favour!

The Cover of God on your life (Daddy) will never fade away. Thank you very much!

And we Praise the Name of the Lord for all the He is doing – Thank You JESUS!

TODAY, we want to examine “THE POTENCY OF GOD’S PRESENCE.”

And I’m going to read from Exodus 33:12-16;

12 And Moses said unto the LORD, See, thou sayest unto me, Bring up this people: and thou hast not let me know whom thou wilt send with me. Yet thou hast said, I know thee by name, and thou hast also found grace in my sight.

13 Now therefore, I pray thee, if I have found grace in thy sight, shew me now thy way, that I may know thee, that I may find grace in thy sight: and consider that this nation is thy people.

14 And he said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest.

15 And he said unto him, If thy presence go not with me, carry us not up hence.

16 For wherein shall it be known here that I and thy people have found grace in thy sight? is it not in that thou goest with us? so shall we be separated, I and thy people, from all the people that are upon the face of the earth.

… May the Lord Bless the reading, and hearing of His Words, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

There is nothing so Magnificent, so Glorious, as children of God carrying the Presence of God with them, wherever they go!

The Secret of Success, Victory and Unusual Health Point that the People of God carry, and that goes along with the People of God is in the fact that they always carry the Presence of God.

It is your determination or desire, or decision in life, to over come great problem?

Do you want to fulfill your Purpose of Existence? Do you want to make a mark on the sand of life?

… Then, you and I would need THE PRESENCE OF GOD.

When the Presence of God envelopes a man or a woman; even when People intended to say NO – they would say YES!

Joseph appeared once before Pharaoh, and that was it! He was Promoted beyond any human imagination.

And let me say this; Satan cannot give Divine Presence; it is more costly than Gold!

The People mourn each time they seems to lose the Presence of God and it is a calamity and tragedy for any Christian to live a life, to walk a life, to conduct their daily Businesses without the Presence of God.

And, each time you are asking for breakthrough: the Presence of God is the KEY to undeniable Breakthrough

… Without which, no Success, no Breakthrough. There is no strength that is impossible!

And it is impossible operate in the Supernatural, WITHOUT God’s Presence.

I think it is a dangerous thing for any man, any woman, to sleep, and to travel, and to move – without the Presence of God.

So, having the Presence of God with us: more than Silver, more than Gold; more than Riches or Fame. I mean, more than Prizes that any one could give us!

I like what David said in Psalms 16:11: In the Presence of God, there is FULLNESS of Joy.

Now, outside the Presence of God, there is frustration, hardship; we have failures of all kinds, sickness, suicide and all the like!

The question I want to ask, before we go into the study today:

Do you carry the Presence of God? Do I carry the Presence of God (more than anything) Or have you lost the Presence of God?

David cried aloud at a time in his life, in Psalms 51:11, he said: “Cast me not away from thy Presence; and take not thy HOLY SPIRIT from me.”

… This is a Powerful Prayer!

And we need to have the Presence of God everywhere.

The key to Good Life, the key to a successful Ministry, the key to the Supernatural is the Presence of God.

So, we are going to examine this Study under three (3) Headlines;

1. THE REQUIREMENTS FOR GOD’S PRESENCE;

… REQUIREMENTS – because the Presence of God has requirements.

2. THE EMBLEMS, THE SYMBOLS, THE CHARACTERISTICS OF GOD’S PRESENCE;
3. THE POTENCY OR THE POWER OF GOD’S PRESENCE.
4. THE REQUIREMENTS FOR GOD’S PRESENCE

I. HOLINESS: It is good to be Born Again, but you need to move a little bit closer.

Now, I hear People say: I’m a son of God; I’m a daughter of God. Yes! You need to move from sonship to Friendship.

Jesus said, I don’t call you slaves, I don’t call you any other thing – you are my Friends because I don’t hide anything from you.

And so when we are talking about the Requirements for the Presence of God, Holiness – Seeking after God and His righteousness;

In Isaiah 59:1, the Bible says: “Behold, the LORD’s Hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:”

But He said, when somebody contaminates his or herself; then the Lord would not be able to hear.

In Matthew 5:6, it says; “BLESSED are they which do HUNGER and THIRST after righteousness: for they shall be FILLED.”

I like David, great Man of God: the one who killed Goliath at the age of seventeen (17) years.

He said in the Book of Psalms 42:1. He says: “As the hart panteth after the water brooks, so panteth my soul after thee, O God.”

The SACRIFICE of Jesus for our Redemption is a Complete Work! And there is nothing you can ADD, and there is nothing you can REMOVE.

However, you need to continue to stand in His Presence; to continue to PURSUE; to continue to be DILIGENT – walking with the Almighty God!

Jesus Himself said it in Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his righteousness; ..”

… SEEK Him first! Every other things, they become Secondary.

And in 1 Timothy 6:11, it says: “But thou, O man of God, FLEE these things;

… Anything that doesn’t connect with Holiness, with Purity, FLEE!

In 2 Timothy 2:22, it says: “Flee also Youthful lusts: but follow righteousness, faith, charity, peace, with them that call on the Lord out of a pure heart.”

So, the righteousness of God is inputted; but you need to walk in it, you need to walk WITH HIM.

Now, if you are not living in righteousness, you are not His child; And therefore, you cannot experience His Presence.

I’m not the one who said is. 1 John 3:10: “In this the children of God are manifest, and the children of the devil: whosoever doeth not righteousness is not of God, neither he that loveth not his brother.”

You can’t say you love God, you belong to God: and you didn’t quit sinning.

… That’s No. 1 – RIGHTEOUSNESS (I’m talking about the Requirements);

II. PRAISES: Praises triggers the Presence of God.

In two (2) instances in the Bible, Praises brought something massively, incredible:

A. In the Book of 2 Chronicles 20:15-24 – They wanted to go and fight a battle, and this man didn’t know what to do.

So, WHAT DID HE DO? – He started Praising God; he started PRAISING GOD.

No wonder David, in Psalms 100:1-4 said: I was glad when they said let us go to House of the Lord. So said in verse 4, I will;

“Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name”

And he was describing how he dance, how he will Praise, how he will enter into the Presence of God with JOY: because in the Presence of the Lord there is fullness of Joy.

B. Paul and Silas were another example in the Bible – In the Book of Acts of Apostle 16:25-27 – They were imprisoned. These people would have been crying. No! They never – they started singing and Praising the Lord!

And all the fetters just broke loose; and there was an earthquake, and all the doors that were chained, they opened – because PRAISE is a weapon.

Praise brings down the Presence of God and it is very crucial.

If you like, do all other things; but PRAISE is one of the Requirements, to bring down the Presence of God.

III. The Word Presence: In John 1:1; the Bible says: “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

The Presence of God comes into a WORD SOAKED environment; GOD and His Words are the same – and they cannot be separated.

Each time the Word of God is put in Place, something outstanding happens. And that is why we need to seek diligently to Study, Meditate on the Word of God.

In the Book of Joshua 1:8, it says: “The book of the law must never depart from your mouth ..”

… That Book of the Law is the Book of Light.

In Psalms 119:9-12; “Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word….”

It is not just quoting the word, but the dimension of the Revelation of the Truth that FLOODS People’s Spirit, that brings the Presence of God

Sometimes you are illuminating, thinking about a problem; as as you are reading the Word of God, something just clicks; and there you got the solution.

So, the Presence of the Word is one of the Requirements for the Presence of God;

The ENTRANCE of the Word of God, the STUDY of the Word of God, the MEDITATION of the Word of God.

IV. SACRIFICE: In 1 Kings 3:3-15; Solomon triggered an undeniable Presence of God; leading to undeniable encounter with God – He gave Him not just what He wanted; but ALL God needed

… God wants sacrifice!

My father in the Lord has emphasised from time to time, that whatever you are realising to God, He just wants to test the LEVEL of your Love; the LEVEL of your Appreciation.

SACRIFICE – I need to put it to you Sir/Ma; how long have you done something that pinched and shook your entire life, in terms of sacrifice?

We are told about Solomon, that he was just sacrificing, he was just killing animals. And People thought; this guy must be out of his mind.

No wonder he got what anyone in the Generation has never received: The wisest and the wealthiest.

… Sacrifice triggers the Presence of the Lord!

V. LOVE FOR GOD/ HONOURING GOD: Love for Him!

In 2 Kings 3:3; there is a statement I love there, Solomon LOVED God.

Everybody NATURALLY, wants to be where they are Loved and Honour. They don’t want to go where they are tolerated.

And so we must Love and Honour God.

Do we Love God? Do you LOVE God and celebrate Him? Do you want to be in His Presence all the time? Are you glad that God is your Father?

His Presence is announced in our lives and situations in an UNDENIABLE WAY, when we Love Him!

Because He wants to show People that when you Love God, it is not just for fun; you LOVE HIM, because He is God. And in return, His PRESENCE comes to you!

… And when you have the Presence of God, anything can happen.

How do you think a mortal man could stand before the Red Sea, and the Red Sea parted?

How do we explain that?

And that is in Exodus Chapter 14 – Nobody can explain that!

How do you think a man; because the Bible says their shoe never went cumber – Forty (40) years, one shoe kept changing colour on daily basis. They wore only one cloth, and the cloth kept changing colours!

That is what the Presence of God can do: The Presence of God is very crucial.

VI. OBEDIENCE: Obedience to the Word of God – Obedience!

Now, Psalms 40:6-11; No matter the SACRIFICE you make, and your PRAYERS; it will not make any difference if you are in REBELLION, and walk out of the Will of God.

It doesn’t matter!

I mean, when the Bible was talking to us the Book of Isaiah 1:18-19 – “If you are Willing and Obedient, you will eat the Good of the land.”

Remember, God and His Word will never change!

In other to enjoy ANYTHING you want in life, you have to align with His Plans and His Purposes first.

“There are many devices in a man’s heart; nevertheless the COUNSEL of the Lord, that shall stand.” – Proverbs 19:21.

So you need to be obedient to Him.

Ah! Each time I read certain things in the Bible, I’m so dazed.

Dazed in the sense that; certain things, you just have to risk it.

Jesus said to the People: Fetch water and put in the pots; that was in John 2:1-11.

And He said, fetch it and give to the People – and Miracle happened!

… Obedience has to go before FIRST!

I Pray today, even as we desire the Presence of the Lord; the POWER TO OBEY, God will give unto us, in in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

… And the last one for this Segment is;

VII. HEALTHY PERSONAL FELLOWSHIP and HEALTHY Congregational Fellowship:

Do not joke with your Quiet Time; you must Plan to have a QUIET TIME.

Family Devotion – YES!

But your Personal Quiet Time – When you Pray meaningfully: you Study, you Memorise, you Mediate the Word of God. And you do this DAILY!

The same thing; the Bible says we should not forsake the Assembly of each other.

Because after this lockdown; don’t say, I am used to worshipping God in the house.

Now, there is a direct Presence in the HOUSE OF GOD; in the TABERNACLE OF GOD.

The Altar in any Church, is the Room and Throne of God.

And I Pray, that the Presence of God will ABIDE with you Permanently, in name of Jesus – Amen!

… Now, let me jump into the second (2) Subheading;

2. THE EMBLEMS, OF GOD’S PRESENCES.

… Or call it CHARACTERISTICS;

I. God’s Presence is EVERYWHERE: He is Present anywhere!

In Psalms 139:7-10, the Bible makes us to know; you can’t’T hide from Him – Anywhere you like – go underneath the Earth; the PRESENCE OF GOD is always there!

And God’s Word tells us in that Psalms 139:7-10; there is nowhere you can hide!

And I am Praying for you today, that God’s Presence will always ABIDE with you, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

II. God’s Presence is PERSONAL:

God from the beginning this is what I meant to say: In the Garden of Eden, in Genesis 3:8, God kept walking to Fellowship with man.

It says, God would come in the COOL of the day;

Adam and Eve, were enjoying the Fellowship until they sinned!

From time to time, God would come and spend some time with them.

But after they sinned; they were removed from the Garden, and they were removed from Fellowship.

You know, that is one of the greatest tragedies that happened to human being.

What I’m saying in essence is this: You must Personalise, let God’s Presence be PERSONAL – carry Him wherever you go!

… Carry the Presence of God wherever you go.

How can we have a Personal Relationship with the Presence of God, when we have sinned?

Where I read to us earlier on, in Isaiah 59:1-2 says: God’s hand is not shortened. But when sin is in a Place, He cannot Fellowship.

I keep wondering; why should God reveal something to Joseph, not his brothers? To Daniel, not the other ones?

How is it that God was with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego, when they were thrown into the fire?

.. Because they carried God’s Presence with them – Personally.

Now, God’s Presence is EVERYWHERE, it’s PERSONAL, and;

III. God’s Presence is PRACTICAL: it’s not Ambiguous.

Practicing God’s Presence is what is called ABIDING.

John 15:4-5; God’s Presence is something that has to be PRACTISED in our life. And it’s beneficial and useful.

God’s Presence is something to be enjoyed – ABIDING I’m Him;

When we trust God in any situation, He will move in.

Proverbs 3:
5-6 talks about: Lean not unto your own UNDERSTANDING – Acknowledge Him!

And Jesus said in John 15:7: “If ye abide in me, and my Words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.”

We are to let the Word must ABIDE in us – Includes Memorisation, Meditation upon the Word of God – Joshua 1:8.

Now, you remember the Story – Maybe many of us in the Redeemed Christian Church of God will remember the Story about three (3) Fishes that our father in the Lord told us:

One said it wanted to have eyes all over its body; the other one said it wanted wings to be able to fly while the third one said, well I just want Your Presence to go with me everywhere I go – PRACTICAL!

The one with many eyes died; The one with feathers became food for the Eagle; but this one, the PRESENCE of God; God would not allow anything to touch that fish in the ocean.

When you have the Presence of God, and it’s PRACTICAL – No! No evil can touch you.

And I Pray (if you care to say Amen); that God’s Presence will ABIDE with you in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

IV. God’s Presence is PEACEFUL:

The Holy Spirit indwells your life and He Produces fruits of PEACE, just as Jesus Promised;

In John 14:24, the Bible says: “Peace I leave with you, my Peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be AFRAID.”

V. God’s Presence is POWERFUL:

… I have mentioned five (5) Points in the particular second Segment;

• God’s Presence is everywhere;
• God’s Presence is Personal;
• God’s Presence is Practical;
• God’s Presence is Peaceful; and
• God’s Presence is POWERFUL!

There is no way you can carry the Presence of God and the enemy will not BOW – No, No, No!

How Rich is God?

He owns everything on the Earth!

According to those Riches; He wants to strengthen us in the inner mind by His Spirit.

That is what Ephesians 3:15-17 says:

“As a result, we are STRENGTHENED in Christ; and when He DWELLS in our heart, He will be at home everywhere – He would RULE there!”

Because anywhere you go, when you carry His Presence, it’s okay!

Ah! Something about this Presence of God is so amazing; how can People who didn’t work, who didn’t farm for forty (40) Years:

They said, Oh! Moses we need meat and God brought Quail.

Oh! we need bread and God supplied Manna – The bread baked from the Oven of Heaven.

… Ah! The Presence of God is amazing!

I Pray for myself and the People listening or reading this on the Label of DMC; that the Presence of God will TABERNACLE with us, in the Name of Jesus -Amen!

… Now, let me go to the third (3rd) Segment – which is the LAST ONE;

3. THE POTENCY, THE POWER, THE CAPACITY OF GOD’S PRESENCE … There is a great POWER that goes with the Presence of God

I. Power for CREATION: in Genesis 1:1-3.

That is the Series my father in the Lord has started since the beginning of this Year in our Monthly Holy Ghost Service.

Now, at CREATION, the Spirit of God moved, and the Word of Authority that brings a Perfect Creation was Spoken because the Presence of God has something that Creates and Recreates.

Whenever God’s Presence is there, creative Miracles – CREATIVE, undeniable: things that were not there would just be there!

Moses experienced Creative Miracles by the Presence of God.

Now, I noticed Three (3) Things in the life of Moses, when we talk about Creative Miracles;

A. In Exodus chapter 14 – Creation of Walking Path in the Sea.

I have never heard that anybody, as they were coming and the Sea parted. But there was Creative Miracle – there was a Path there!

B. Now, the second (2nd) thing that Moses experienced and his People – Creation of Drinking Water from the Rock.

… Water that is cool, clean and fresh!

Today they have to treat all the water that we are drinking (laughs!).

We have to put another chemical – Any water that is not chemicalised is not a good water.

But for this one, the chemical from Heaven was mixed with it.

That is a Creative Miracle!

C. And the last thing under that one, is the Creation of Manna from Heaven.

Manna came down from Heaven – It 8s a Creative Miracle – that BREAD (laughs!) came down from Heaven.

I like the Song we normally sing:

Bread of Heaven
Feed me till I want no more;
Fill my cup, fill it up,
And make me Whole.

… And Bread came!

So God’s Presence has the Power for Creation.

I don’t know what thing you want to be recreated in your life – And I Thank God for the Power of God in the life of our father in the Lord (during the Holy Ghost Services): where People who said they were short, and then they grew TALLER.

I mean, a Man of God was speaking on Television the other man. He said he was by the side – A Popular Man of God in this Nation (Nigeria): that he was by the side of someone who grew taller when that incident happened.

And they are real things that happened; there are Testimonies I hear that dazed me.

Somebody was watching the Holy Ghost Service and there was Power Failure; it didn’t happened Abroad, it happened in Lagos (Nigeria) – The Fuel finished in the middle of the night. She went and fetched water, poured it inside the Generator Fuel tank, and the generator started working.

I mean, when the fuel was short and the generator stopped working, she added another water – and he started working again.

… That’s Creative Miracle!

And I Pray, whatever Miracle that you desire; the Presence of God will carry to you in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

II. The Presence of God has Power for RESTORATION:

In Psalms 51:12, David cried aloud: RESTORE unto me the JOY of thy Salvation;

The Presence of God has Capacity to bring Restoration of ALL the enemies has stolen; whatever the enemies has destroyed, at the Presence of God (if you can believe Him): there will be Restorative Miracle and Blessing – Amen!

There can be Restoration of your health, of your home, wealth and Joy.

Hope is not LOST; you can still make it in life – Yes! You can still be Healthy again!

Is it not in this particular Church of ours that somebody is fifty two (52) Years old, fifty six (56) Years old, sixty two (62) Year old, sixty eight (68) Years old – they gave BIRTH!

… Not by IVF or something like that, they are by Pure Natural Conception.

You are the NEXT on the line of Miracles – Amen! I am the NEXT, on the line of Miracle – Amen!

III. Power for PROTECTION: It has Power for Protection!

And this, I really like – Power for Protection.

Now Luke 10:19-20, Jesus said there:

“Behold, I give unto you POWER to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.

The Presence of God with a man, with a woman, with someone; brings Divine Protection around him or her against all kinds of evil and danger – whether Physical or Spiritual:

When we engage the Power of the Presence of God in every Areas of our life, this will give us Permanent and Lasting Victory.

Thank You JESUS!

Thank the Lord for Isaiah 54:17: No weapon that is formed AGAINST ME …

… Because I don’t know what your thinking!

“No weapon that is formed AGAINST YOU; shall Prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in Judgment thou shalt condemn.”

God opened the eyes of Elisha, when they surrounded him, he could see BEYOND.

And when the servant was troubled, he said No, No, No – don’t worry, they that be with us are more than they that be with us.

I Pray today; God will Protect you, Protect your family – Don’t be AFRAID!

We are in the Season that People are panicking; even the most Spiritual are afraid.

RELAX! – God is always in Control, His Presence will take you there.

… And it shall be so in the Name if JESUS – Amen!

IV. Power for DESTRUCTION:

1 John 3:8 says: He can destroy the Power of the enemy.

God’s Presence destroys the Power of sickness, destroy the Power of sorrow. Because He came to destroy the Power of the enemies.

John 10:10 says: He came to give you life Abundantly.

… And lastly;

V. There is Power for IMPARTATION; the Power for REVELATION – Acts 2:1-2.

This particular Presence of God has Power to give you Revelation. To give you REVELATION!

In the Book of Deuteronomy 29:29; it talks about the fact that the Presence of God has the Capacity to bring Heavenly Vision and Revelation.

What is it are we saying?

Some People have carried this Presence and it has worked for them.

Way back, Abraham carried, Isaac carried, Jacob carried – They carried the Presence of God.

Joseph, Daniel, Elijah, Elisha! And we are under a better Covenant;

DO YOU WANT TO CARRY THE PRESENCE OF GOD?

The first thing is to repent of all your sins.

And if you are Born Again, and you want to carry the Presence of God; Study MORE, Speak in Tongues MORE because it has capacity to do that for you!

It is your your hand.

A young Boy came to a Wise Man, holding something on his hand. He said to the man: What am I holding?

The Wise Man looked at him and smiled. He said: You are holding a bird.

The Boy said, is it dead or alive?

The Wise Man said – IT’S IN YOUR HAND; whether to make it alive or to let it die.

… It’s in your hand: whether you want to. Abide in the Presence of God or not.

ALTAR CALL

BOW YOUR HEAD – If you are not Born Again, tell Him Lord, I want to get Born Again.

And if you are Born Again, just let Him know He is your Maker and you want to carry His Presence.

… And I will Pray with you Now;

PRAYER FOR SALVATION/CLOSING PRAYER

Father Eternal, we Thank You for the People that are making decisions now. Thank You for everyone that has determined to carry the Presence of God:

I ask that everyone of them will carry the Presence of God from TODAY. Let the Glory of God manifest in a way that is BEYOND Comprehension.

I ask that the POWER of the Lord shall take over HENCEFORTH; and the Name of the Lord will be Mightily Glorified.

OPENING PRAYER

Father in Heaven; we want to Bless Your Name for the privilege of another day, of another time in the Presence of the Lord.

Thank You for what You have done before, Thank You for what You are doing now.

What a Great God, what a Mighty, what a Dependable God, what a Reliable God. Please, accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus.

Thank You oh God for Testimonies over what You have done in the Past few weeks; Thank You for the lives You are touching, and the lives You have transformed. And those ones You are transforming at the moment. We say Thank You!

To You be Glory, to You be Honour in the Name of Jesus!

We have come oh God to drink from the DEEP of God; we ask that this particular day, You will teach us again.

In this Digging Deep oh God, I release myself, my heart, my head and my mouth to You: that on this Platform, I will not do violence to Your Word.

And within the time I have, I will be able to do Justice to the Topic that You have approved.

Lord I ask that Your hands would be involved in the Teaching of today; You will make it clear, simple, that no one will go without receiving their in the Name of Jesus!

12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him.

13 Let no man say when he is tempted, I am tempted of God: for God cannot be tempted with evil, neither tempteth he any man:

14 But every man is tempted, when he is drawn away of his own lust, and enticed.

15 Then when lust hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin: and sin, when it is finished, bringeth forth death.

16 Do not err, my beloved brethren.

… May the Lord Bless the reading and hearing of His Words, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

We are living in the day of relentless temptations, it is very, very difficult.

Never before has our Adversary has such a Powerful Technology which he uses to glamorise sin.

Temptation on it’s own is not the same as sin.

I mean sometimes, being tempted makes us feel dirty but temptation is not sin.

Jesus was severally tempted, but that does not mean He contaminated Himself with sin.

WHAT IS TEMPTATION?

It is the seduction to evil; solicitation to do wrong thing – It is different from trial.

Because trial seeks to discover man’s Moral Qualities and Character; but Temptation Persuades to evil that it may ruin that fellow.

And why it is a Good Thing, it is things that God ordained, it is something that God pull to live a right life.

Now, we need to understand that once you have determined to live a life that Pleases God, you are the Prime target for Temptation of Satan.

The devil will stop at nothing to go to the one that is standing – doing the Will of God.

And that is why in the Book of 1 Peter 5:8, the Word of the Lord says;

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:”

Now, the devil is not concerned about normal Christian: who is not living life according to the Will of God; but his major concern are those particular people – that man, that woman that is living for God.

I Pray that the trap of the enemy will not capture us in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

A life lived for Jesus is the life that would be attacked.

2 Timothy 3:12; I mean, Paul cried out loud to Timothy: “Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer Persecution.”

So, the remedy to Satan’s attack, when we are tempted is what Romans 13:14 said: “But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not Provision for the flesh, to fulfil the lusts thereof.”

So, before you give in to temptation and things that look enticing, take a moment to think about the consequences:

1. What will happen to your Testimonies in the eyes of others?
2. What will happen if your Leaders find out?
3. What will happen if others find out?
4. What will happen if your spouse or somebody who is dear to you finds out?

Today, I’m going to look at it in three (3) SEGMENTS:

The Schemes of the serpent.

The Strength of the Saints.

The Succour or the Support of the Saviour.

THE SCHEMES OF THE SERPENT

Satan and his kingdom are well organised entities and they make use of various Schemes and Strategies, and Technology (if you want) to Check people and to Test people.

In 2 Corinthians 2:11; the Bible says: “Lest Satan should get an advantage of us: for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

I. So No. 1 Scheme is ENTICEMENT Scheme

Satan will package common and unusual things for you, to Present it in a ‘Special’.

For instance, he could make a married man/woman to see another woman/man as ‘Special’; leading to sin of sexual impurity or immorality.

In Judges 16:1, the Bible talks about Samson, a Man of God born with Anointing. He went down to Gaza and he saw an harlot there and went in to her.

Another example is Eve; Eve has been in the Garden; Eve has been in the Garden with fruit that was there. Satan with his subtle and cunning attitude, posed a question to her.

We can read that from Genesis 3:1-10; but my emphasis would be Verses 1 and 6. Look at it:

“Now the serpent was more subtile than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the Garden? And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was Pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat.”

The tree has always been there; but the devil used an Enticement Scheme.

II. PERSISTENT Scheme: The devil would use this strategy of Persistency;

The devil sometimes Persist in bringing multiple temptations at the same time – Like the case of Jesus when you read the Book of Luke 4:1-13.

Now, he came to Jesus and said: You know you have been Fasting for 40 Days now; turn stones to bread.

Jesus replied him!

He came again and said: Look, I will give You all these things that You can see.

Jesus rebuked him!

Now, the third (3rd) time, Satan took Him to the Pinnacle of the Temple – He removed Him from the Congregation of the Saints to the Pinnacle.

Be careful, when the devil continues to flatter you – You are still yourself. And be careful of unusual, unnecessary Titles.

He took Jesus out of the Congregation – Nobody stays in the Pinnacle (You stay in the Congregation) just to single Him out, to be able to destroy Him.

But Jesus rebuked him!

And the case of Joseph; but the devil kept repeating it severally – lie with me, lie with me, lie with me – Single Temptation, several times – Genesis 39:7-20.

So many Believers are unable to resist such kind of Temptation.

We should know that the Devil cannot be tired, and he does not give up on his business.

As Christians, we have to be on GUARD at all time, by Watching and Praying.

III. DECEIVING Scheme: The devil most of the time hides his Identity;

As demon, he would transforms himself to an angel of Light.

So there is a story in the Book of 1 Kings 13:1-23; but I will zero in on Verse 18.

Now, the story is this: God sent the man to go and Prophesy in another town – Prophesy on the Altar of evil. And exactly he came to that town.

There was another Prophet in that town; so he said, please the Angel met me and said you should do CONTRARY to what God had said.

Look at verse 18 – “I am a Prophet also as thou art; and an Angel spake unto me by the word of the Lord, saying, Bring him back with thee into thine house, that he may eat bread and drink water. But he lied unto him.”

I don’t know why he should do that, but that is to tell you that – That’s the strategy of the enemy: Deceiving Schemes, a liar from the beginning.

And let me say, there are two (2) Terrible Lies Satan wants you to believe:

A. He wants you to believe that just ONCE will not hurt – Fornication once, Adultery once, Stealing once.

… That is a lie!

B. Now that you have DONE it and you have ruined your life there, there is no remedy; God has forsaken you and you cannot do anything.

That is also a lie you must be weary of this particular deception of the enemy.

IV. DESPISING Scheme: When the devil makes People to feel, it does not matter.

It does not matter if I do what I need to do: Certain worldly dressing doesn’t matter; Revealing dresses doesn’t matter; Singing worldly songs doesn’t matter; Joining People to do certain things doesn’t matter.

Remember Esau: Esau felt it didn’t really matter – and he lost Permanently his birthright, in Genesis 25:29-34.

Look at what he said in Verse 34:

“Then Jacob gave Esau bread and pottage of lentiles; and he did eat and drink, and rose up, and went his way: thus Esau despised his birthright.”

The Salvation of your Soul, the Salvation of my Soul, is not quantifiable – It is Priceless!

The Salvation of our Souls – somebody PAID for it. He used His blood to Pay for it; He condescended from above.

The Bible says in Philippians 2:8: “And being found in Fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross.”

Somebody Paid for it, don’t let us despised it!

V. MAJORITY Scheme: People are likely to judge some things right, by the acceptance of Majority.

So we use this approach, you know we are in the Political Arena (Democracy) – Majority wins the Vote.

… The devil also uses that!

In the Bible, there is a very, very Powerful Story – The story of the Prophet Micaiah.

Now, when the Man of God (Jehoshaphat) joined King Ahab, and the King said; I want to go and flight battle, will you join me?

And the man (Jehoshaphat) said: Well, your People are my People. I will join you. But is there any Prophet?

They gathered all the Prophets and many of them – four hundred (400) of them; they Prophesied the same thing.

But Jehoshaphat, maybe by experience maybe by the Prompting of God said: There is still something more.

He said: Is there no other one?

King Ahab said, there is one, but I hate him; he doesn’t speak well of me. His own words are always on the contrary, he doesn’t follow Majority!

Many a times when you deal with God, the Majority may not win; but the devil uses the Majority Scheme to deceive People.

Now, let’s look at that story; you can take it from 2 Chronicles 18:4-34. But I want to emphasis on Verses 12 and 16;

Now, when they asked to go and call the Prophet (Micaiah); the Servant who called him said: Everybody said something good about the King.

Because your own is too much, you have received madness with your own Religion. You, your own: you can’t touch this, you can’t touch that!

Your own you don’t joke with Sunday, you don’t joke with Digging Deep or Faith Clinic. You don’t joke with Services to the Lord.

He said: Speak according to the other People!

The Prophet said, whatever the Lord says, I will tell them!

So, when he got there, he first of all spoke like the other People.

And King Ahab said: Look … Look at what he said first, but he spoke the truth at last.

Now, he first got there. And when he got there, he said: God says you should go – God says you should go!

Then King Ahab said: Tell me the TRUTH.

And in Verse 16 the Prophet Micaiah said;

“Then he said, I did see all Israel scattered upon the Mountains, as sheep that have no Shepherd: and the Lord said, These have no Master; let them return therefore every man to his house in Peace.”

The King Ahab said, I told you, this man: his own is always different.

And this is one of the Schemes the devil uses to deceive People – Majority are doing it!

That Majority are doing it does not necessarily put a Stamp of Approval on it.

VI. SECRETIVE Scheme: The devil makes us comfortable to commit sin, as long as nobody finds out.

… But remember, nothing is hidden from God.

Ananias and Sapphira in the Book of Acts of the Apostle 5:1-10; they went into that Temptation, they sold the land. Peter was not there, nobody was there.

But they said: Did you really, are you bringing the whole money?

They said, oh, YES!

Mr. Show off, show forth! Mr. Eye service, Mr. Sycophant. And said YES!

And Peter said: Why did you lie? Why do you also lie?

The wife also came, he said to her: Did you sell the land for so much?

She said YES!

… And both they DIED!

Joseph overcame because he was able to remind himself.

And the Book of Genesis 39:7-20; in Verse 9, Joseph said:

“There is none greater in this house than I; neither hath he kept back any thing from me but thee, because thou art his wife: how then can I do this great wickedness, and sin against God?”

… Sin against God – Against God!

I Pray today that the Power to overcome sin, God will give unto you, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

2. THE STRENGTH THAT GOD HAS MADE AVAILABLE FOR THE SAINTS

I. TRUST in God: You need to realise that God will help you.

He will neither leave you, He will never forsake you. He is your Strength and He is your Buckler.

In Psalms 125:1, the Bible says: “They that trust in the Lord shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.”

And in 1 John 4:4, the Bible says: “Greater is He that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

You are on the Winning Side – You have to align yourself with Christ who is the Conqueror!

II. Be HUMBLE: If you are not humble you will crumble – James 4:10.

You need to humble yourself. As long as you are Proud and you think you can fight sin on your own – you will not be able to move forward.

When you think you are so Strong that sin cannot touch you; then you have set yourself up to fail.

We are only Strong in the Lord.

Look at Samson – Samson thought no problem moving from one sin to another.

He didn’t know that the Spirit of God was going away from him gradually and suddenly, he couldn’t get himself.

III. You need to RESIST Temptation: God is building your Character.

Every time you say No to Temptation, it will be much easier to say No the next time you are tempted.

James 4:7 says: You should RESIST, I should RESIST.

Don’t play around with sin. You try to enjoy, it will hurt.

… But RESIST Temptation and move on.

IV. FLEE: There is a time to dialogue, but when you come to certain temptations in life, especially Temptations on fornication and adultery, you need to FLEE.

If you are struggling with lust, stay away from Pornography; stay away from any situation that could entice you.

In 1 Corinthians 6:18, the Word of the Lord says: Flee from sexual immorality.

In 2 Timothy 2:22, the Bible says: Flee the evil desire of youth.

.. So FLEE!

V. EMBRACE the Truth: Jesus is the Word from the beginning;

He is the Way, the Truth and the Life – That is what John 14:6 says.

And in John 8:31-32, He said, you shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you FREE.

So the Bible remains the Book of Conquerors – The Bible remains the Helpful Book to conquer in times of Temptation.

Jesus Himself quoted the Scriptures against the devil, in Luke 4:1-13.

… RESIST the devil with the Word of God.

VI. You need to PRAY: Prayer is of a great help in Temptation.

Pray, it’s very important.

In the Lords Prayer that we were taught – “Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name….”

Verse 13 says: And lead us not into Temptation, but deliver us from evil.

Even the Almighty Jesus, our Saviour, in Matthew 26:41 He said: The Spirit is Willing but the body is weak.

… That was in the Garden of Gethsemane.

But if we PRAY, He will send help to us!

VII. Embrace the LOVE of God; embrace God and His Love.

…. Or if you want: Embrace the LOVE of God!

Proverbs 18:17, we need to embrace the Love of God. Love is the unique Glory of Christianity.

And God loves us so much.

John 3:16 says: “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

And He said: I have loved you with an everlasting Love. That is Jeremiah 31:3 – Everlasting LOVE!

And so with the Qualities above, YOU NEED TO:

A. Deal with Temptation IMMEDIATELY – Don’t allow Temptation to linger in your life.

If you don’t deal with it, it will grow out of counsel. Get down to go the Word, deal with it IMMEDIATELY.

B. You need to Deal with Temptation REALISTICALLY – You need to be REAL with what you know is the object the devil is targeting at.

So understanding sin is more Powerful than you are.

Jesus said to His Disciples: Watch and Pray that ye enter not into Temptation in that same Matthew 26:41.

… You need to deal with it IMMEDIATELY, REALISTICALLY;

C. And you need to Deal with it RUTHLESSLY:

In Mark 9:43-48; some times when Jesus talks, there are certain things that are so strong.

He said: If thy hands causes offence, cut it off; if your eyes would make you sin, He says pluck it out.

… That sounds very, very, difficult.

Regardless of what you have to get away from, get sway from it.

IV. And Deal with that Temptation CONSISTENTLY: you have to be consistent.

V. And you need to Deal with it CONFIDENTLY: because according to 1 Corinthians 10:14: God will make a WAY of escape.

… Now, that’s the second (2nd) Segment. The Third (3rd), which is the last one, is:

3. THE SUCCOR OF THE SAVIOUR; THE SUPPORT OF THE SAVIOUR

Now, there is a Strength available to you as a Saint; but there is also a Support from the Saviour.

JESUS, who was tempted in all areas, and He didn’t sin – These are the SUPPORTS or SUCCOUR we have in Him:

I. He set Himself as an EXAMPLE: He was tempted on every sides, He didn’t fall into any of those Temptations.

Look at Him as our Perfect Example.

Hebrews 4:15 says: “For we have not an High Priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all Points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.”

II. He gave us the HOLY SPIRIT:

… He is our Example, and He gave us the Holy Spirit.

One of the reasons why we are Baptised in the Holy Spirit is to have Power to say No to the devil and to resist the Temptation of sin.

He said in Acts 1:8: Ye shall receive Power when the Holy Ghost comes upon you.

He said in Luke 10:19: Behold, I give unto you POWER.

So He gave us the Holy Spirit to be able to resist Temptations.

III. He gives us a WAY of ESCAPE: Don’t say, I can’t overcome this Temptation – You CAN!

Now, in 1 Corinthians 10:13, the Bible specifically said God will make a way OUT of Temptation;

… But we must be active in finding the DOOR out!

IV. The next Support is the ADMONITION by the Biblical Saints:

… The story of Bible Saints who lived before us.

Some of them were not even Born Again; some of the Instruments and Supports that we have now in this New Testament, they didn’t have it.

But they passed through Temptations and they overcame!

Remember, Malachi 3:6; the Bible says: “For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed.”

Now, watch the Motto of the Redeemed Christian Church of God; it says – “Jesus Christ the same yesterday, today and forever” – Hebrews 13:8.

The SAME yesterday, today and for ever – So you have the Admonition of Him being there.

V. REWARD for Overcomers: Anyone that conquers will be crowned with the Crown of Life.

Our Saviour has a lot of Promises for those who overcame – All these can motivate us to Walk and to Overcome Temptations.

I don’t know whether you heard the story of an Evangelist that came to Town – The Evangelist was Preaching; he came to a small City and the whole city gathered around him.

And so, on the third (3rd) day of the Crusade, he joined a Bus from where they were holding the Crusade to town.

And so he Paid a certain amount of money (as Bus fare) to the Bus Conductor. And he was to receive balance.

And the Bus Conductor, by Purpose and intention, gave him back triple of his balance that he needed to collect.

So the man was troubled. Initially, he said – Ah! This is the blessing of God. On the other side, he said No! This is stealing.

So he was struggling on and on. But when he was at the Bus Stop for him to disembark; he told the Bus Conductor, the balance you gave me is not the correct amount – You paid me triple.

And the Bus Conductor laughed: Now I know you are a true Man of God. I did it intentionally. I will attend your Crusade this evening because I thought you were like them!

… Are you like them?

… Don’t fall into Temptation.

He would have missed the Bus Conductor – later who became a World Evangelist.

What if he had missed it? – Don’t MISS IT!

Somebody may ask as I close: Is there any HOPE?

What if I MISSED it? Is there any Hope FOR ME? What if I FALL into Temptation?

There is Forgiveness for such because in 1 John 2:1-2, because of the sacrifice that Jesus PAID; you are encouraged that you can be FORGIVEN.

No wonder Micah 7:8 says: “Rejoice not against me, O mine enemy: when I fall, I shall arise; when I sit in darkness, the Lord shall be a light unto me.”

And as a Believer, it is high time you rise against all Temptations. If you have missed it before you can adjust.

If you need the Lord in your life today; if you are a backslider, come BACK! God is waiting for you – there is another opportunity.

If you have not given your life, Please you can do it right away! If you need the Lord today, whether to fight Temptation; He is available and you can have Victory over sin.

Let us go over the BENEFITS or ADVANTAGES of Temptation; so that God can take you to where He wants you to go. You can overcome Temptation, you are destined to overcome Temptation.

Three (3) Things that I have said and I have mentioned:

1. The SCHEMES of serpent,
2. The STRENGTH of Saints.
3. The SUPPORT or the SUCCOUR of the Saviour.

Today, you have opportunity to ask the Lord for Help; because He is willing – He can Help you; He had helped the people who have been under Temptations before.

That you will not be tempted, forget it!

Any student that wants to be Promoted will have go sit for an examination.

For you to get to the Next Level of your life in Christianity, you need to be tempted. but after the Temptation;

After Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego entered the fire and came out, they were Promoted.

Daniel, when he entered the Lion’s Den and came out, he was Promoted.

Now, you are set for Promotion, but God will help you to overcome.

… Shall we bow our heads as we Pray;

And if you want to give your life to Jesus Christ, I beg of you today, don’t delay till tomorrow. God is waiting for you!

Just tell the Lord: LORD; I am here, wash me, cleanse me. I want to follow You for the rest of my life.

… Thank You Eternal Father, in Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed!

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Thank You for the People that are giving their lives today. I Pray Oh Lord, as a baby is being born in Your Maternity today: Cleanse them, wash them, write their names in the “Book of Life”.

Whatever it is that has been object that does not allow them to come to You; Lord, remove that object from today, oh Lord.

And I ask that from this day onward, You will give them Strength to serve You.

Everyone in Temptation, everyone who has been Deceived, everyone who has been Attracted to Temptation and many that are in it now; give them Power to OVERCOME, in the Name of Jesus!

Those who have already fallen into it, please give another chance for them; raise them up, in Jesus’ Name!

The Power to live Victoriously, give to everyone of us, that are watching or reading now on the Label of DMC.

And Lord, everyone who needs a Special Touch in the area of their Spiritual Life, Touch them, and let all things be well.

Eternal Father, You invented Giving – You don’t need money, You have everything sufficient.

And so, we are Giving this to You; we Pray that You will accept it, use it for Your Glory.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

We are up to Digging Deep today, and we want to Bless the Name of the Lord for our father in the Lord, daddy GO. Who has allowed us to do this centrally, for today.

We Thank the Lord for his life. May the Lord continue to Bless our father in the Lord – Amen.

We want to Thank the Lord for the opportunity to stand; to be able to do this.

Shall we just bow,as we Pray to God today;

GENERAL PRAYER

1. Begin to talk to God wherever you are. That God will MEET with you at the point of your Need.

Let’s ask the Lord, that God will open us up to the Word of God today.

The Word of God brings life, the Word of God is a Container of Miracles.

We want to ask that the Word of God will carry our Miracle to our sitting room to our room where you we actually gather to share with Digging Deep.

Let’s Pray that the Word of God will heal us the Word of God will take over the affairs of our lives.

Let’s Pray that the Mighty Hand of God will be involved; those of us, from this end and are looking at the Word of God, and those of us who are sharing the same at home.

That the POWER of God will rest upon all of us, in the Name of Jesus.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

2. I like us to Pray today; You are going to say: My Father, VISIT me by Your Word today. Take AWAY my affliction, take away ALL my problems by Your Word.

The Bible says: He sent His Word and the Word healeth them from ALL their afflictions.

That today, the Word of God will address my issue, and the Name of the Lord will be Mightily Glorified!

I like you to Pray that Prayer: Pray that God will bring healing to the comfort of your home. Pray that God will open ways for you.

Pray that even the Word of God will clear the virus; this particular Coronavirus, away from our environment, from Africa scene, from the Global scene, and from this Nation and various States where we are listening or reading this on DMC Media Label; to the Glory of the Name of the Lord.

Eternal Father we Thank You for the privilege to come and share Your Word.

Thank You for today’s Digging Deep. Thank You King of Glory, because the Word of God has no restrictions.

We Bless Your Name oh God, that even though some States are on lock down, the Word of God can still reach to us in our bedroom, in our sitting room. We Thank You!

We Pray oh God, that even today, as we share in the Word of God, Lord Almighty let the Word bring Joy; let the Word terminate affliction and oppression!

And we are declaring by the Word of the Lord today; those who have been affected by these Coronavirus, You will Heal them. The families that are bereaved, You will comfort.

And Father Almighty, we ask that the Word of God today will do us Good: God’s Healing, God’s Favour, God’s Anointing, will manifest.

Thank You Eternal Father!

As I stand here by the Permission of my father in the Lord, I Pray: that I will not do violent to Your Word.

I ask that the Word of God will meet the Need of all of us, even me (and DMC family by extension);

Today we are going to be looking at: WHY WORRY? (laughs)

WHY WORRY?

I’m going to read from the Text of Jesus Preaching; one of the greatest Sermons that my father in the Lord referred to in his Preaching. He referred to it in the April 2020 Holy Ghost Service (full Text of which you can read on DMC Media Label).

I’m reading MATHEW 6:25-34;

25 Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?

26 Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?

27 Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?

28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin:

29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.

30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?

31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?

32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.

33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.

May the Lord Bless the reading and the hearing of His Word, in Jesus’ Name – Amen!

And we can just read this and close the Digging Deep; because Jesus’ Sermon is very explicit.

Most of us, we worry unnecessarily about too many things.

We are living in a time and in an age that many people have referred to as ‘An Age of Anxiety’.

Now, worry has become a watchword for so many, many people! They worry about weather – they worry about sunshine!

They are worry about things that doesn’t concern them.

I mean, to me it seems that people are searching for problems in this generation: as they TALK so much about problems, instead of focusing on Solutions.

But Jesus admonished us (from where we read) that we should take no thought for the morrow.

Take no thought about how you are going to feed, what you are going to wear.

As I was looking at this, I stumbled into a Statistics of somebody who actually analysed what people worry about.

Now, take a look at this STATISTICS ABOUT WORRY – this is what the fellow said:

1. 40% of all the things we worry about NEVER come to pass – 40%!
2. He said, 30% of ALL worries involve decisions that CANNOT be changed – 30%!
3. He said 12% focus on CRITICISM from others who spoke because they feel inferior.

I mean, 12% focus on Criticism from other people – because they feel inferior; because they didn’t like what you are doing; because you are doing much more than them.

4. And 10% are related to our HEALTH; which get worse.

I mean, it gets worse when we worry!

5. 8% of our worries could be described as LEGITIMATE. And those are the ones that call for concern.

That’s remarkable to me!

That 1% of our worries; or 1 in 10% of all our worries are worth the things we are worried about!

And so God does not wish us to spend our time to worry. He wants us to spend our time to ENJOY: because He is the One who created us, and He has the Plan for the future.

I love what Jeremiah 29:11 says.

It says: “For I know the THOUGHTS that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of Peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”

Now, when Jesus was talking in the Text we read, He said: God takes care of the flowers, takes care of the grass, takes care of the little, little birds.

Why would He not take care of you, who He created in His own image?

That means He is a PROVIDER – for all the people that trust in Him.

Now, worry is the worst way to deal with weather. I mean weather of life.

Now, we are Christians, and we are God’s children. We must learn that God cannot possibly abandon us. And leave us just to it in our own way.

We may come to a situation in our lives that calls for concern; but all that we are asked to do, is to let Him handle it!

God can handle any situation. He has never been out of control. He is always and firmly in control.

You can see in the world there is pandemonium; the world is going helter skelter. Then what they know best cannot work for them.

Those who boast to be in the First World, now nothing seems to be working: but there is something that works – the POWER of God!

… The Power of surrendering ALL; the Power of leaving ALL.

In 1 Peter 5:7; I like what it says there: “Casting all your cares upon Him for He careth for you.”

I’m not an English major, but I have a common sense English – CASTING means and suggests: ‘Do it and keep doing it’.

My father in the Lord quoted a scripture in his Sermon on Sunday, that is Matthew 11:28, where it says: “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.”

What we are saying is that: Jesus wants you to let Him handle your worry.

I’m going to look at this particular Study in THREE (3) MAJOR WAYS; and I will be able to say something.

Now, there are Three (3) different kinds of worry;

1. People worry about things that have already happened.

… Things that have already happened!

Sir/Ma, yesterday ended last night. There is nothing you can do to bring yesterday back – It’s gone permanently!

So, to worry about yesterday is a futile effort.

Look at where we read to us – Matthew 6:27; “Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature?”

Worrying is like a. Rocking Chair – it gives you something to do, but it gets to nowhere!

You are just there just on the same spot.

So worrying about things that have already happened, is like you sawing Sawdust – it’s already a dust, why are you sawing it?

So worrying about the Past is like trying to put toothpaste back into the tube – it’s used!

Worrying is like egg that has been broken already, and you want to put it back. There’s no way! It’s broken permanently.

So, Past deeds cannot be undone; nor Past word be unsaid!

If the Past involves sin, obey the condition of pardon, and God will abundantly forgive!

In Isaiah 55:6-7, it says: “Seek ye the LORD while He may be found, call ye upon him while He is near: Let the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and let him return unto the LORD, and He will have Mercy upon him; and to our God, for He will abundantly Pardon.”

If you have done anything in the Past, confess it to Him – He can forgive you!

So stop worrying about what you cannot rectify; the Past is passed!

… So when God forgives you, forgive yourself!

I like what one time Prime Minister of Britain said – Prime Minister Lyons George of England. He said (let me quote him):

“I have made it a practice of my life always to close the gate behind me.”

… Make it a practice – once it is gone, LEAVE IT!

And this is what we need to do with all the things that have already happened.

2. People worry over things that will inevitably happen.

Now, some worry about their children, whether they will get married.

… Leave that to GOD!

If God said in Hebrews 13:4 that ‘Marriage is honourable…’ Hand your children over to God, they will get married. They WILL!

I mean, men and women were created for Marriage! (In Genesis 2:25) they were created for marriage.

And many people worry: my children, when will they get married? Will they get married? Will they get married to the right person?

LEAVE that to God: do the Needful – by Praying for them; hand them over to God. God has a way of taking care of His own.

Now some worry about dying: there are things that will eventually happen!

Hebrews 9:27 says: “And as it is APPOINTED… ” It’s an Appointment!

So why are you worrying about dying? We will still die!

Now some worry about growing old. They are things that will inevitably happen!

Everyone of us is growing old: from the time I started talking, I’m growing old!

Nobody asks ‘how YOUNG are you?’

And something about age is that – when you are young, and they say to you, you are young! You will say No, I’m old!

When you are old and they say to you, you are old! You will say, what have I done? I’m still young!

But we are growing old!

Age is catching up. So don’t worry about aging; it will still happen.

Whether you worry about it or not, it will still happen.

3. Some worry about things that will never happen – Things that will NEVER happen!

First (1st) category – something that has happened;

Second (2nd) category – things that will inevitably happen;

The Third (3rd) category (I’m talking about now something that will NEVER HAPPEN.

And survey has shown that some of the things we worry about NEVER happens.

Worry about whether there will be sunshine.

There is something in life that you shouldn’t give it a thought, please!

That is the Teaching of Jesus: Leave your anxiety for Him!

I Pray today, even as you roll your burden to Him, the Grace of God will be sufficient for you, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

Why are you worrying?

Why do you worry Brother/Sister: when God takes care of animals, takes care of vegetation, the birds of the air? The lilies of the field clothed bountifully!

And God will take care of you; He will take care of me (and DMC Media Family).

The birds do not work they do not have a job, but they have FOOD: and if God could do this for all these common things, why do you need to worry?

Worry doesn’t help you, it doesn’t help me. We cannot change the situation by worrying; so many at times, worry makes the situation worse!

… Let me get to the second (2nd) one.

WHY YOU SHOULD NOT WORRY, WHY I SHOULD NOT WORRY:

I will mention Seven (7) Things on that – why should you not worry?

1. The same God who created life in you can be trusted with the details of that life.

God is not a wicked God; He created life – you can trust Him with your life.

Look at it in Matthew 6:25: “Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment?”

We are the most Valuable of God’s Creatures: In all that we face in this world, we can trust God.

I like that song: The God of good times, the God of bad times, God on the mountain, the God in the valley …

I also like the song that says: I sing because I’m Happy, I sing because I’m free …

He takes care of the sparrow, I know He will take care of me (Take care of the DMC Family in General).

We must make a choice to leave worry and trust Him!

And I like the way a man put it – Mark Redman they call his name!

He wrote a song, and look at what he said;

Blessed be Your Name,
Blessed be Your Name
When the Sun shines down on me
When the world all at ease should be
Blessed be Your Name!

On the road mark with suffering
Blessed be Your Name.
Though there is pain around me
Blessed be Your Name.

You give, and many at times
The devil struggle to take what You give
Blessed be Your Name.

He said …

My heart choose to Bless the Name of the Lord; Because I know God cannot possibly do evil.

So, what are we saying?

If God created you – because the Bible said, you were created like Him. He created your life, you can trust your life with Him!

When you read the Book of Genesis 1:26-28: “And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have Dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the Earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the Earth, and subdue it: and have Dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth.”

… And so, He made us in His image!

Why worry is not good for you;

2. Worry about the future hampers your effort today.

Matthew 6:26 says: “Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your Heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they?”

You are lot more valuable than birds, grass and animals – He will take care of you!

3. Worry is more harmful than helpful – Worry can harm you!

Matthew 6:27 says: “Which of you by taking thought can add one hour to your life?”

… You can’t add a single hour to your life.

I read a story many years ago; Death was walking towards a city and so, as He was going, he met a man and said: Death, where are you going?

And Death said: I’m going to kill. I want to go and kill one hundred (100) people in in the city.

And the man he met said, that’s horrible!

And Death said that is my work!

So Death went into the City and at the end of that day, ten thousand (10,000) people died.

So while Death was coming out of the City, met this same man again.

He said Death, you lied to me.

He said No, I didn’t lie:

You told me you are going to kill one hundred (100) people, now ten thousand (10,000) people at the end of the day were killed.

No! I killed only one hundred (100) people; FEAR killed the rest of them.

… Fear kills faster than the problem itself!

I was reading (just yesterday night), I sat down and I was reading the Chronicles of people who are apprehensive of the Coronavirus.

And many people, as a result of FEAR (anxiety) that they have died.

In fact, those people within the time Coronavirus came forth, people who have died of fear are more than those people Coronavirus has killed.

Worry is not good for you! Worry and Fear kill others and it kills faster.

4. God does not ignore those who depend on Him.

Worry is not good for you, because God DOES NOT ignore those who depend on Him.

Matthew 6:28-30: “And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his Glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?”

We worry about things we have to do, instead of being thankful to God.

Now I look at it, the Analysis experts gave us – because it’s good to compare Statistics.

When you compare statistics, you will appreciate God; you will love Him.

Now look at what some Experts said:

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep. You are richer than 75% of this world. – laughs!

… Is that not amazing?

I go over it again; if you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof over your head and a place to sleep. You are richer than 75% of this world.

Now it goes on further: if you have money in the bank and in your wallet, and a spare change. You are among the Top 8% of the world Wealthy.

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness, you are more blessed than the millions who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, the pangs of starvation; you’re ahead of five millions of people in the world.

… 5 million of people in the world!

Look at this: If you have freedom in your home, you can listen to the Word of God, you can listen to News, without fear and harassment, without arrest and torture. You are more blessed than three Billion people.

And if your parents are still alive and they are still married. You are very rare. Even in Africa and the world over.

… Very Powerful Statistics!

5. Worry shows a lack of Faith and understanding of God.

Matthew 6:31-32 says: “Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

Let me pick that one (verse 32) again: “For after all these things do the Gentiles seek: for your Heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.”

When it comes to the issue of Faith, you need to impose your Faith in Him.

A child does not worry whether the house will still be there when they return from school – they just run home! They don’t worry whether their parents would be there.

They don’t worry about supply; they believe the supply would be there!

Stop worrying about things you don’t have control over.

6. Worry keeps you from focusing on what God wants you to Pursue.

Let us read Matthew 6:33: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

… ALL these things!

There are two (2) kinds of people in the world – the people who believe they can DO IT. And the people who just do what they can DO.

Stop worrying about what you think you can do, just go ahead and do what you can do.

7. Living one day at a time keeps us from being consumed by worry.

You live one day at a time! Live one day at a time.

Living one day at a time keeps us from being consumed by worry.

Matthew 6:34 says: “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

It is not good to worry about tomorrow: We may not have tomorrow, or you may not know what is, till tomorrow.

I don’t know what is in my tomorrow, but I know Who owns my tomorrow – My tomorrow is in the hands of God!

If you are worrying about the problem of tomorrow, you will miss the blessing of today!

Let me now talk about: WHAT SHOULD I DO? HOW SHOULD I OVERCOME WORRY?

What are the things I should do to overcome worry?

I will mention Seven (7) Things quickly; I may not be able to discuss those things in details.

1. Make up your mind that you are going to Conquer.

We must not allow our thought to push us around.

Make up your mind that TODAY, I’m going to win all my life battles.

Make up your mind, I’m going to be happy!

Make up your mind, I’m going to do things in a manner that will give Glory to God!

Make up your mind that I’m going to be happy, it doesn’t matter what really happens, I’m going to be happy.

Make up your mind – nobody has control of your day: God and you! – So make up your mind.

Abraham Lincoln said: “I have been as happy as I made my mind to BE!”

2. Form the right Relationship with God.

… I’m talking about how you can overcome worry.

Form the right relationship with God.

Philippians 4:7 says: “And the Peace of God, which Passeth all Understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

The closer you are to God, the fewer worries you have: Get yourself closer to God!

There are things that happen to you by Chance; there are things that happen to you by Choice.

Those things that happen to you by Choice – determine to hand them over to God.

Those ones that you can Choose, go ahead and do them!

So, remember I started with: Make up your mind that you are going to conquer everyday.

…You are going to conquer in the battle of everyday;

No. 2 – Form the right relationship with God;

3. Develop the right Attitude of mind.

Always look at the Bright side of the Sunshine.

Count your blessings, not your woes. Count your blessings, don’t concentrate on the bad – to neglect the good!

Just make sure that you develop the right Attitude.

“The Right Attitude will give you the Right Altitude!”

4. Do what you can and turn the rest to God.

Do what you can, and let God have the rest!

Now, what you should do is to trust in the Lord.

In Isaiah 26:3, He said: “Thou wilt keep him in Perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

… He will keep him in Perfect Peace!

In Roman 8:28, He said: “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.”

5. Live one day at a time.

Yesterday is buried, tomorrow is unborn. The best way to prepare for tomorrow is to fulfill your duties today!

Matthew 6:34 says: “Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.”

So what we are saying is that – Live one day at a time!

You encumber yourself with so many things that doesn’t concern you – Just leave that to God!

6. Engage in Purposeful Work.

Even in Eden, God saw the need for Employment – to ensure man’s happiness!

Genesis 2:15 says: “And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the Garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it.”

There was a wise man who said he has no time for worrying; for in the day time, he was too busy, and at night, he was too sleepy.

So what we are saying is: Engage in Purposeful Work!

Even this time that there is lockdown (in many areas). Write a Book, Sing a song, Act a Drama!

Do something NEW that you have never done before; compose a Poem. Just do something – engage your mind!

7. Which is the last one – Refocus your Faith, Reset your Priorities, Restrict your Thoughts.

All those things are found in the Book of Matthew 6:31-34.

… Refocus your Faith, Reset your Priorities, Restrict your Thoughts.

… Very, very POWERFUL!

In Jeremiah 17:7-8; the Bible says: “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.”

So Christians should place their Faith in their Heavenly Father

… Faith is the Substance of things hoped for the evidence of things not seen (Hebrews 11:1).

Hebrews 11:6, it says to us: “But without Faith it is impossible to Please Him: for he that cometh to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of them that diligently seek Him.”

… Very, very Pertinent!

And in Hebrews 10:38, it says: “Now the Just shall live by Faith:”

Habakkuk 2:4 says: “The Righteous shall live by HIS own Faith.”

I want to conclude: Philippians 4:6-7 says: “Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by Prayer and Supplication with Thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the Peace of God, which Passeth all Understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”

…. If you have a Need don’t worry, but ask God.

We try to give our children good things; why should God deny us anything Good?

Worry is not good for you!

Jesus said: Take no thought – let Him handle it.

PRAYER OF SALVATION

Father Eternal we Thank You for the people who are surrendering their lives.

We ask that the Power of God that saves life will save them;

The Glory of God will come Mightily upon them;

Lord, the Power of ‘Sin no more’ put upon their lives;

Write their names in the “Book of Life”; give them Power to be able to Walk and Serve God;

And everyone saying Amen, iniquity will not be found in their Tent – Amen!

I pray for EVERYONE who is worried about what is going on; worried about now, worried about tomorrow, worried about their future. I Pray that God will take care from TODAY – Amen!

As they handover their lives to You, let the Name of the Lord be Praised.

Peace with you! Receive that Miracle, receive that Healing. And the Joy of the Lord is your strength!

… So shall it be!

And we Pray oh God, that in this Season that this virus is moving all over, You will not be a Partaker of evil. God Himself will take over.

Thank You for hearing, Blessed be Your Holy Name.

THANKSGIVING OFFERING

Eternal Father Thank You for the opportunity to give to You.

Lord, You just want to test our Faith: Silver and Gold belong to you but You want to know whether we are grateful.

And we have brought out of the multiple; out of bountiful we have brought this little. Please, take it.

And Father, everyone Giving; here on Earth, we will not miss our Rewards in the Kingdom of Heaven, where the streets are paved with Gold. We will be there to reign with You.

Lord, Bless ALL hands, and Bless every hands that are giving today.

And let the Name of the Lord in our lives and family be Glorified.

Remove affliction, oppression by the token of this Giving.

And Lord, take all the Glory at the end of the day.
