Whatever He has done for you, most especially, since the beginning of this International Youth Convention 2025; and even in your Life before you came here. Begin to Thank Him.
Siyabonga Jesu (Thank You Jesus). Oh, the Lord of Hosts, the King of Glory. You are my Alpha and Omega, You are my Creator, the Designer of my Destiny.
So far, so Good, my Life is in You – In You I live, in You I move, and I have my being in You.
What a God I have! What a Father I have in You – So Good, so Kind, so Loving. The Greatest Protector of all Human Beings and the whole Universe.
I salute Your Majesty. I give You Praise, I honour You for what You have done for me.
… As a man, woman, son, daughter – Give Him Praise, give Him Honour. Thank Him!
Let Him hear you saying: Thank You Jesus!
What Honour can we give to You, LORD that will be enough?
Is it the way you kept us in our mother’s womb till we were born? We were not born deformed.
We are here now, Nobody is running away from us. We are not objects of any form of evil.

OPENING PRAYER
Our Heavenly Father, the King of Glory, the Lord of Hosts: the Ever Faithful, Ever sure Daddy; the Most High is Your Name.
You have no Comparison – From Everlasting to Everlasting You are God – We Honour You, and we salute Your Majesty.
We Magnify Your Name, most especially for this Wonderful International Youth Convention 2026.
Oh Jehovah, You Planned it; You have started executing it and we know that it will end in Your Perfect Glory, with lots of Abundant Blessing for all of us Your Children.
And so Father, we say Thank You for this Morning again.
Thank You for another Time in Your Presence.
We Pray that the Joy of Your Presence will be our Portion.
By the Time we finish this Session Lord, we shall have more Understanding, and Additional Virtues to all we have received, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Thank You Father.
In Jesus’ Name we have Prayed – Amen.

And say to them: I rejoice with you that you are here, or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC. Your life will receive a Turnaround.

I want to sincerely Thank God for all that He has started doing in this Convention.
I salute all our Leaders – The Special Assistant to the General Overseer on Youth; the National Youth Pastor, the Regional Pastors, all Provincial Pastors; every one who is at the helm of Affairs of the Youth in RCCG.
The Lord who has Promoted you all to these Positions of Honour will work with you, and you all will be Successful – Amen.
I salute our Mama in the House – The Wife of the Admin of RCCG Worldwide, Mummy Balogun. Thank you for coming to Support us. We are Grateful.
To all my children in the House, and those reading now on the Label of DMC, I want to greet you.
And my Message to you is that your Life will receive a Turnaround after this Meeting – Amen.
This morning, God has laid it in my heart to talk to you about “The Truth about Gate Protectors”.
Because, before anyone Protects any Gate, he must know about the Gate – Whether to hold a key or it is remote controlled. If he is battling at the Gate he cannot be a Successful Gate Protector.
My Bible Text is in the Book of Psalm 127:1 – Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the City, the Watchman waketh but in vain.
There is Truth about being Gate Protectors because if you don’t know the Truth, you cannot be Successful.
In our Bible Text (Psalm 127:1) the Bible says, “Except the LORD…”
Brethren, the Glorious thing about this Mission (RCCG) is that everything is laid on the Foundation of the God of the Universe; the God who created us.
And the Greatest Gate Protector against all Forces is the Lord of the Church – Who incidentally is the Truth.
Everybody shout: The Truth!
In John 14:6, He said, I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
We call on the Name of Jesus, because it is through that Name we can Pray and receive answers.
That’s the Truth.
Therefore, the Gate that People consider to be too Strong even to open; it can open at His Command.
In Psalm 24:7-10, we see how He commanded the Gate to be lifted.
The Bible says: Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye Everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The LORD Strong and Mighty, the LORD Mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye Everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in. Who is this King of Glory? The LORD of Hosts, he is the King of Glory. Selah.
We are talking about Gate Protectors and the Truth.
What brought about this Topic? It is because anything done outside Jesus Christ would be false; it cannot thrive.
Hence we need to recognize the Original Gate Protector Himself.
He is now at the right hand of the Father, according to the Word of God, interceding for us, soliciting as our Advocate.
You cannot do any Gate Keeping without Jesus Christ, and without His Word which is Truth.
In other to understand this Topic very well, Psalm 91:4B tells us: “His Truth shall be thy Shield and Buckler.”
You cannot safely Protect a Gate and the People inside without instruments of Warfare to fight against the Enemies.
… You need a Gate so that your Treasures can be Protected.
What do we have inside, that can be Protected?
- Our Life: Body, Soul and Spirit.
- Our Home: Fathers, Mother and Children.
- Our Career.
- Our Academics.
- Our Relatives.
- Our Organizations.
- The Church of God.
- The Nation.
These are very important issues.
When you fill any Form and you are asked of your Nationality, you have to fill where you come from correctly.
And we have to Protect these Organizations, Nations, Homes, places of work, etc.
The Lord who has brought us together this Weekend will Himself keep us in the Truth – Amen.
And we shall take the Truth, swallow it; and it will continue to guide us, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
THINGS TO CONSIDER IN THE TRUTH ABOUT GATE PROTECTORS.
- A Gate Protector must be a Timekeeper:
Time is Life!
If a baby was born yesterday, by tomorrow he or she will be two (2) days old.
The Bible says, So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our Hearts unto Wisdom. (DMC NOTES: Psalm 90:12)
Many of us are counting our years and days; we don’t count our time. And time matters.
For every Gate Protector in the House, or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC, you must not be late to the Gate.
If you don’t marry when you should, there’s always a Problem.
Even in the Church today, those who should be married but are not married are not happy.
We are Praying for them seriously, that their Wedding Bells will ring this year (2025) – Amen.
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says, To every thing there is a Season, and a Time to every Purpose under the Heaven:
That is why we cannot continue to waste our time Procrastinating – “Tomorrow I will do this and that.”
There is a Time to Plant – When you don’t Plant during Planting Season and you miss the Time, a Particular Seed will not Germinate the way it should, and bring fruits the Time it should.
So we should consider Time as the Truth of the matter.
As a Gate Protector, always arrive on Time:
Don’t go to the Salon when you are supposed to be in the Classroom.
There is Time for everything in Life – That is the Truth.
No more Procrastination, no more Slothfulness, no more Wastage.
Caleb and eleven (11) others were sent to spy on the Land; when they came back ten (10) of them had False Report – “We are like Grasshoppers, those People are giants.”
Caleb told them, “Let is go up at once! This is the Time to go up at once.”
Numbers 13:30 says, And Caleb stilled the People before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and Possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.
Those who said it cannot happen, that they won’t be able to do it – They died.
“Unto thyself be true!” – You are the first Gate Protector apart from God who is telling us what to do now.
So you should be true to yourself, manage your Time well. When you should be reading don’t be Sleeping.
The General Overseer told us about some Students of a Particular University – They asked him, “why do Born Again Students Graduate with Poor Grades; even as Members of the Campus Fellowship?”
He asked them, “what are you doing when you should be Studying?” They said, “we go to Fellowships.”
He said, no Problem, when you fail, the Holy Spirit will comfort you.
Which means, the Truth of the matter is that there is a Time for everything.
- A Gate Protector must be Prayerful:
This kind of Prayer is not a Show Off Prayer – You don’t Show Off to the Almighty God. He knows your Heart.
He said some People are saying: Lord, Lord; but their Hearts are far from Him.
A Gate Protector must be a fervent Prayer Warrior – Your Prayer Life must not be Shallow. It should not be a Show Off kind of Prayer.
Stop deceiving yourself – “Unto thyself be true.”
James 5:16 says, “The effectual fervent Prayer of a Righteous man availeth much.”
*You must Pray with your Body, Spirit and Soul and not Absentmindedly.
What has that got to do with a Gate Protector?
- With that you are building a Relationship;
- So you can receive direction of where God wants you to go;
- To do what He wants you to do;
- And know how to do what He says you should do at the Gate;
Because you don’t know where the enemy would come from.
The Psalmist said in Psalm 121:1-2: I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made Heaven and Earth.
Our help comes from God, and it is certain that God answers Prayer.
Our God is a Good God – Whoever puts his or her Trust in Him would not be put to shame.
Take the Truth: Prayer is essential to a Gate Protector.
All these years we have not consulted any Prophet to Predict the future of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – Our God has been Faithful.
The Bible says, Faithful is He that has called us.
You can develop a Relationship with Him in Prayer; and Consulting Him for everything.
When you Pray, you will be sensitive to the ways He answers your Prayers.
And what you do often becomes a part of your Life and your Lifestyle. And you would be able to hear Him audibly.
You may be hearing Him faintly before, very soon you’ll begin to hear Him audibly, in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.
Brethren, Prayer is one of the Truth to navigate and manage the Gate Successfully.
The Bible says in Matthew 26:41, Watch and Pray, that ye enter not into Temptation: the Spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.
1 Thessalonians 5:17 says: Pray without ceasing.
Everytime: while walking, cooking, washing – Pray without Ceasing.
- A Gate Protector’s Light must not go out:
You must fill your Lamp with Oil all the Time.
You need the Power of the Holy Ghost as you cannot Protect any Gate with your own Power.
Zechariah 4:6 says, Not by Might, nor by Power, but by my Spirit, saith the LORD of Hosts.
The Apostles showed us ways in Acts Chapters 3 and 4 – They showed us Practical Truth by being filled with the Holy Spirit all the time, to be able to operate.
Hence, their first outing, three thousand (3,000) Souls were saved.
The next time, five thousand (5,000) Souls; and then followed by Multitude.
We all are Apostles of Christ – That is why we are here today, or reading the Message now on the Label of DMC – RCCG is not bringing the Youth and Young Adults together for fun.
- It is so that the work of God can continue.
- So that we all can live Exemplary and Glorious lives;
- Worthy of Emulation by Unbelievers. And they would be able to run to us and say, “Tell us your Secret.”
You can’t just carry the Power and hide it under a bushel – You must use the Power you have received.
You need the Power of the Holy Ghost, and it is not what you can hide.
On one of the New Year Days (1st January); someone brought food to our house.
Of course so many People have been coming and going, eating and eating.
As I entered the kitchen I said, “who brought this food?” They said, such and such fellow brought it.
I looked at the food, and I said, “Please take it to the dog.”
One of my daughters who came in from London almost abused me, but couldn’t because I am her mother.
In an hour’s time the Gateman brought the News that the dog has died.
Imagine that! On a New Year Day, if some People have ate that Particular food in the house of the General Overseer, what would be the News?
Disaster will never happen in you home – Amen.
The Holy Spirit will guide you; and He will lead you – Amen.
That’s why you cannot afford to lie to yourself – You must be Truthful to yourself, receive the Holy Ghost and the Power.
I am already seventy seven (77) years old, and I am not lying to you.
When we were in the Choir back then, the Superintendent (late Pa Akindayomi) asked all Choir Members to wait behind after Service one day.
When Baba said you should wait behind, you are already shaking.
Then he said, “how many of you have received the Baptism of the Holy Spirit?” Only about six (6) People said they have received the Power.
He said, “until you receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost, don’t come to the Altar to Minister again.”
In those days, if you were stepped down from the Workforce of the Church, it is as if Heaven has rejected you.
And it is Compulsory for you to attend all Church Programmes – You sit at the back, and Special Ushers would spy on you.
You must attend Church Programmes; and you can’t run away to another Church because they would even follow you up.
Back then, there was no Teaching on how to be baptized in the Holy Ghost.
Thank God I laid my hands on a Book about how to receive the Baptism of the Holy Ghost.
On the third Night of Fasting and Praying, God Himself baptised me with Fire.
And in 1985 we went to a Reinhard Bonnke’s Meeting. In one of the Evenings I began to Speak in Tongues until the following Morning.
I have never seen such a thing before in my Life – I locked myself in the toilet, my foot was glued to the Ground. I Prayed in Tongues throughout the Night.
Of course, it was not in vain. All the six (6) People we went there together; God gave me a Message for each of them.
When I started giving them the Message, they were weeping.
Of course I gave the Message in the Closet, not in front of everyone – Then I became terrified!
Don’t joke with the Power of the Holy Spirit at all – You can’t be a Successful Gate Protector without Power.
- He will show you the evil that is coming;
- He will lead and guide you to higher Heights.
- And He will help you conquer all Enemies surrounding you.
At Ebute-Meta (Lagos Nigeria) two (2) Witches came to me simultaneously, after attending the Sunday Class on Restitution.
They said, “we are the ones who tried to kill you. But we could not kill you.” I said to them: I didn’t even know that you exist. Because I can’t feel you in my Life.
Brethren, there is no other Power Greater than the Power of God – Don’t be deceived by False Prophets on Mountains.
Jesus Christ is our Greatest Prophet. He is LORD of the Church.
If the Apostles could be baptized on the Day of Pentecost – One hundred and twenty (120) People were there, including women. What about you?
We are exposed to the Power of the Holy Ghost, and we will not miss out, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
- A Gate Protector must be Consistent:
Don’t say, “I am not the only one in this family.” The Lord is using you to meet their Needs.
Your elder brother lost his job, now you are bragging, “am I the only one?”
God has put you in that family for such a time as this – As Mordecai told Esther.
You are a Gate Protector over their finances, welfare, etc. so you must be consistent.
As long as God is meeting your Needs, you cannot afford to be tightfisted or stingy.
And that includes all your Gifts. Because the more you use your Gifts, you will have Additional Gifts.
It is happening in my Life; and it can happen in anybody’s Life too.
We have to be consistent as Gate Protectors – Protecting our wives, children, family Members: Spiritually, Financially and otherwise. Praying, guiding and leading your family Members.
Wives too must Protect their Husbands.
The Yorubas have an Adage, “To oju tire l’aparo fin so mu” Meaning, with your eyes, with the eyes of the sparrow it watches.
Sparrow is a bird, and the Bible says, His eye is on the sparrow.
Brethren, we have to be consistent – We are Gate Protectors for the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); but some of you are already tired, eve as young men and women.
God will renew your Age like that of the Eagle, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
You cannot afford to be tired.
Psalm 91:5-12 says: Thou shalt not be afraid for the terror by night; nor for the arrow that flieth by day; Nor for the Pestilence that walketh in Darkness; nor for the destruction that wasteth at noonday. A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee. Only with thine eyes shalt thou behold and see the reward of the wicked. Because thou hast made the LORD, which is my refuge, even the Most High, thy Habitation; There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his Angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways. They shall bear thee up in their hands, lest thou dash thy foot against a stone.
Gate Protectors, even at Night, while others are sleeping you have to Protect the Gate.
Psalm 91:1 says, He that dwelleth in the Secret Place of the Most High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty.
You are to consistently dwell in His Presence where God has put you to Protect.
Some of us may say, “I am not the only one.”
You are the only one for that Assignment now – God wants you to Protect your family for now.
Some of you, your Parents are not Born Again, and you think you are save? No way! God will ask you what you did about it.
Your in-laws, Uncles, Aunties, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews are not Born Again; you cannot be comfortable, because God has chosen you to be a Gate Protector to that family.
That is why you cannot close your eyes to any of them.
Even though some of them play on our intelligence, by saying “go to him, you will get whatever you need.” But the Holy Spirit will tell you where to top.
Brethren, be consistent in your Gatekeeping: You will not be weary, and you will not be tired, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
- A Gate Protector must be Loyal:
That is the Greatest Truth about being a Gate Protector.
If you are not loyal to God, to your Boss; you may miss the height God has Prepared for you because you are not going to remain in that Position for ever; you will climb higher and higher.
Wherever God has Placed you now, it is to Prepare you for Greater Heights. And you shall get there, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
- You have to be Loyal.
- Our Loyalty should be unto the Lord.
We have learnt about Joseph – He was loyal to his Master; to the extent that when his Master’s wife came to him he said, “how can I do this great Wickedness and sin against God?” (DMC NOTES: Genesis 39:9).
It is abiding in the truth of Loyalty as Gate Protectors, that can help us get to the Height God wants us to reach.
If Joseph had misbehaved, and was careless with his Life, Morally, and Spiritual, because he said he didn’t heed to sin against God;
- His Lifespan would have been cut short.
- He would have been imprisoned: but he would have died there.
The Glory of someone who is very Loyal is from Prison to the Throne.
That will be your Portion, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Whatever Problem you are facing now; and they are saying, “Those are Jesus’ People, don’t let them attend our Meeting, so they won’t expose us.” Leave them, they are the ones digging their own graves.
When they fall into the pit they dug, you will be flying, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Psalms 75:6-7 says, For Promotion cometh neither from the East, nor from the West, nor from the South. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.
So your Promotion is not in the hand of anyone. It is in the hand of God; and He will Promote you – Amen.
You just have to be Loyal.
Whatever you are not supposed to take, do not take.
God is watching us right now, and He is recording everything we do.
Romans 8:35-39 says: Who shall separate us from the Love of Christ? shall Tribulation, or distress, or Persecution, or famine, or Nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written, For thy sake we are killed all the day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter. Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am Persuaded, that neither Death, nor Life, nor Angels, nor Principalities, nor Powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other Creature, shall be able to separate us from the Love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Beloved Gate Protectors, your Loyalty is unto God in everything:
- In Training your Children: The Bible says, Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it (DMC NOTES: Proverbs 22:6).
- Caring for your Home: The Bible says, He that will not take care of his family is not supposed to be a Bishop or even a Deacon in the Church of God, or even be a House Fellowship Leader (DMC NOTES: 1 Timothy 3: 4-5).
Nothing should separate us from the Love of Christ.
We have so many things that are Militating against our Welfare today – They shall all come to pass, because they will not last forever.
Our God is our Shepherd; He says we shall not not want (DMC NOTES: Psalm 23:1).
Nothing should separate us from God, not even Angels, Principalities or Powers..
We have to go through all these things and yet remain Loyal.
May the Lord help us to remain Loyal to the end, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
As Gate Protectors, the Truth can do lots of things in our lives; Spiritually, Physically, Materially, Emotionally, Maritally, Educationally, Career wise, Ministerially, etc by;
- Abiding in the Truth.
- Saying the Truth.
- Confessing the Truth.
- Applying the Truth to whatever we do.
Because, no liar will go to Heaven.
You may be anything in Life; if you are not Truthful you are just building castle in the air. Only the truth will help you at the end of it all.
In Psalm 111:8, the Bible says, They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in Truth and Uprightness.
They stand firm not just for only Today; for one Month, for a year, for ten years? No – for ever!
Let us rise up, Please.
The Lord is Truth is in the house and He has Ministered the Truth to us.
- We cannot be Gate Protectors without being able to keep to Time. There is Time for everything in Life. We must be true to our Time.
- We must be true to our Prayer Life: Pray for all the People you need to Pray for. 1 Timothy 2:1 says, I exhort therefore, that, first of all, Supplication, Prayers, Intercessions, and Giving of Thanks, be made for all men; Don’t be selfish with your Prayer Life;
- Don’t let the Oil in your Lamp get dry: Be filled with the Holy Spirit so you can Last.
- You must be consistent:
A Musician, I.K Dairo of Blessed Memory sang a song:
“Ai se ipade iya, ko je ka mo eni iya je ju ra won lo.” Meaning; Because yoo don’t call a Meeting of the Less Privilege, you cannot tell who is suffering more among them.
We have all passed through Sufferings in Life – It’s only the degrees that are different.
Don’t let Sufferings take you out of the Gate.
- You must be Loyal at the Gate: You must be true to yourself, and don’t let the enemy cheat or deceive you.
Psalm 111:8 says Truth must be for ever.
GENERAL PRAYER
- Begin to tell the Lord of Truth, the only One who can help you remain a true Gate Protector;
Ask Him to help you remain a Gate Protector. Ask for Grace to let these Truth guide you at the Gate.
- Ask God to give you the Ability to use your Gifts. Pray that you will not waste your Gifts as a Gate Protector.
So shall it be in Jesus’ Mighty Name – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER
Our Father and our God, we Thank You and we Honour You Lord.
What shall we say unto these things?
Except You keep the City, those who watch are doing so in vain (DMC NOTES: Psalm 127:1).
We Thank You for the Truth You have exposed to us Today.
I Pray Father, that we shall be more Time conscious in our Assignments.
We will not Procrastinate; and we will no longer delay.
We will do all things at the Right Time to Glorify Your Name, and to make You happy.
We Pray Lord, that You will help us, even in the Truth: to be consistent in whatever we are doing.
That we will be Ttrustworthy so You will not think of changing us, Lord. Because when we are not consistent, the Owner of the Gate may replace us.
Father, we Pray Today that Nobody would replace us, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Our Characters and manners will not make us to be Substituted with someone else.
Make us loyal to You Lord.
Give us the Spirit of Loyalty as it pays to be Loyal.
Loyalty took Joseph from Prison to the Throne. Help us to remain Loyal, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Help us to be Prayerful – let it be our Lifestyle.
Let us know Lord that we cannot do anything without You in our lives.
Let that consciousness be in our Hearts, to trust You more and more.
And help us to consult You in everything, in the Name of Jesus.
Make our Relationship with You deeper and deeper.
The Bible says You spoke to Papa Moses mouth to mouth.
Let this be our Portion, in the Name of Jesus.
Let us hear You speak to us mouth to mouth; and help us keep our lips.
Let us spend more Time with You daily than with all other activities around us, in the Name of Jesus.
