BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 1: 27-28

Let somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Let all the Youth in the House shout Hallelujah – Glory be to God.

I want to say that am truly happy to be at this Convention because I believed that Great and Glorious Destiny would be unleashed as a result of this Convention in somebody life in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

I believed very strongly within my Spirit that God will launch someone into a Destiny of Greatness during this Convention in the Name of Jesus.

If you are that Person, let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Glory be to God – Hallelujah!

I want to say that am truly happy to be at this Convention because I believed that Great and Glorious Destinies would be unleashed as a result of this Convention in somebody life in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

I believed very strongly within my Spirit that God will launch someone into a Destiny of Greatness during this Convention in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

If you are that Person, let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

God Bless You – Amen.

And because you see that I was a Banker and now I work in Government on various Government Policies; I will like to approach my Presentation on Practical Approaches of achieving Greatness.

You know, I will like to start by saying that God is not only interested in helping you to live a successful Spiritual Life.

Do you hear what I said?

God is not only interested in seeing you live a successful Spiritual Life, He also wants you to be Fruitful, to be Great and to be Successful Physically and Materially.

In order words my brothers and sisters; God wants you to live an Abundant Life.

And the Lord Jesus Christ said in John 10:10; it says that: I have come that you may have Life and that Life more Abundantly.

You see this afternoon; we do not have time to go deeply into that Statement.

But let me just submit to you that Eternal Life is a Spiritual Benefit of the Redemptive Work of Christ in your Life. While the Abundant Life is the Physical and Material Part of the Redemptive Work.

And Jesus Christ came to give you both the Spiritual Benefits and then the Physical and Material Benefits.

You see, Personally I have always been inspired by children of God who are able to succeed in their Vocational Pursuit and at the same time are able to excel and show Greatness in the matters of the Spirit – Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

That is what I called Wholistic or Wholesome Fruitfulness.

… And I believed that, that is what God desired for you as a child of God.

So, before we look at our topic this afternoon which is: STARTING SMALL AND GROWING INTO GREATNESS. – In what I will called Wholesome Prosperity Dimension.

Before I go into the Topic, it is important that I established that: To be Prosperous or Great Materially or to desire Prosperity is not Carnal or Unspiritual.

… Do you hear what I said: It is not Carnal and it is not Unspiritual to desire Material Greatness.

And I know that you know that the Concept of Divine Prosperity may have been abused.

So that abuse has led to a situation where People do not willingly acknowledged the desire to be Great Materially.

But that is the trick and lie of the devil because the Lord God Almighty wants you as His child to Prosper in every dimensions – To be Great in every dimensions of Life.

Let somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

And I will be sharing this with us before I go into this Exaltation of: Starting Small and Growing Great.

Let me just share with us two (2) Key Scriptures among so many – one (1) in the Old Testament and the other in the New Testament that confirms to you as a child of God that God indeed wants you to Prosper and to be Great in all ramifications of Life.

The first (1st) Scripture I will like to share with us is in Jeremiah 29:11. And its a fairly popular Passage or Scripture.

It says that: For I know the Plans that I have for you declares the Lord: Plans to Prosper you and not to harm you.

This is the Plan of God, not of man, not of your Pastor – It is the Plan of the Lord God Almighty.

And it says in this Passage that the Plan is to Prosper you and not to harm you. Plans to give you Hope and a Future.

So, this is the Eternal Plan of God for you to be Great Materially from one of the Scriptures of the Old Testament.

The Second (2nd) Scripture that I want to share with us just to underpin this notion that God wants you to be Great. That is taking from 3 John 1:2.

And it says that: Beloveth of the Lord; I Pray that you may do what? You may Prosper in all things.

Not only in some things but to be Great in all things and to be in Health just as your Soul Prospers.

… Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

“That is what I called Wholesome Comprehensive and Wholistic Prosperity”.

But I like the way the Message Translation put this very Incredible Passage of the Scripture for those of us who read the Message Translation – 3 John 1:2.

… It says that we are the best of friends.

In the New King James Version, it says Beloved.

But here, it says we are the best of friends.

And the thing about friendship is that you all wish your friends well.

… It says that we are the best of friends.

And I Pray for “Good Fortune” in everything that you do and for your Good Health and for that everyday affairs, Prospers well as your Soul.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah.

Children of God, it is the design, it is the Plan and it is the desire of God that you show Greatness even in the things that are Vocational to you – Amen.

And the Lord will help you to accomplish this in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

… So, it is not carnal to be Prosperous; neither is it necessarily Spiritual (indication of Spirituality) to be poor.

It is about being able to hold this Principle of Prosperity in Balances while of course giving Priority to Dominance of Spiritual Fruitfulness.

Because as the Scriptures said: We should seek first what? – The Kingdom of God and its righteousness.

But when the Lord made this this incredible statement, He says that you know that we should be getting our Priority right because other things will be added unto you.

And I might ask you here today: What are those other things that God is talking about because He has already identified the Pursuit of the Kingdom of God and its righteousness and He says all other things.

May I submit to you this afternoon that those other things include your Physical and Material Prosperity and your Material Greatness.

So, shall it be concerning you that you should show forth as a child of God, the Greatness that the Lord God Almighty has ordained for you in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ – Amen!

Genesis 1: 27-28

1. So God creates man in His own image, in the image of God created He him; male and female created He them.
2. And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be Fruitful and multiply and replenish the Earth and subdue it: and have Dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over every living thing that moveth upon the Earth.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

This is the Word of God to Adam.

And in Genesis 12:2; He then reiterates that same command to Abraham – He said that: I will make you a Great Nation.

Don’t let anyone deceived you that God has not Ordained you for Greatness and that it is not Spiritual to seek to be Great.

It says that I will make you a Great Nation. I will bless you and make your Name Great and you shall be a Blessing.

If you believed that that Promise is also for you, let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Job 8: 6-7 says if you are Pure and Upright, surely now He will awake for you and Prosper your Rightful Dwelling Place. Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end will increase abundantly.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Am talking about Starting Small and Growing Great.

The Bible says in Zechariah 4:10. It says for who has despised the days of small beginnings.

There is a Process to achieve Greatness my brother and sister. There is a Starting Point, there is a Middle Ground and there is the Point of Greatness – It is about Process.

However, the sad things that seems to you know affect our environment nowadays is the “Spirit of Instant Gratification” – The inability to follow the Process starting with an idea, nurturing that idea and growing that idea into Greatness.

This is what I find lacking in our environment nowadays – The impatience to work out your Greatness with Commitment and Dedication seems to be the ill or one of the challenges that this Generation faces.

And you will not be a victim of that ill or challenge in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

So let us go to our Topic: STARTING SMALL, GROWING GREAT.

And because like I said, you know that I will be coming from a Practical Perspective of this Topic. Just to share Life experiences with us and to try and conceptualized this Topic within our Economy so that as children of God; we will see the opportunities that are embedded in the Economy. And we are mindful to take up the opportunities.

You see, despite the enormous Human and Natural Resources that the Country is blessed with. It is true that Nigeria is obviously a tough place to do Business in – Very tough.

And this is due to a number of factors.

And because I work in Government and I was a Banker; I understand these factors extremely well.

One of those Factors include: Power Supply – You will know that very, very well.

And to drive this point home; you know that to use Generator Power to do your Business will cost you as much as twice the cost of paying for Public Power.

That is the challenge in this environment.

Just setting the context; we know about our poor Transport Network; lack of access to Finance is a Problem; the high Lending Rate in our Financial Institutions is a Problem; Inadequate Infrastructure is a Problem; Insecurity etc.

So, we know that our environment is challenged in terms of doing Business.

And this hard Business Environment is manifested in the Country’s Poor Banking and you compared it to even Countries like Mauritius, Rwanda, Kenya, Botswana, South Africa – we are ways down the ladder.

If you look at our Interest Rate, they are perhaps the highest among the Countries that I just mentioned.

If you look at the Consumer Inflation Index; it is almost the same story.

If you look at the Real GDP Growth, the same story.

So, that is the Economy Context that we are seeking this Material Prosperity in – It is a harsh Environment.

And Research has shown that most Business set-up in Nigeria failed within the first five (5) Years.

Some that managed to exist beyond five (5) Years becomes extinct between the sixth (6th) and the tenth (10th) Year.

Only about five percent (5%) to ten percent (10%) of Young Companies survive or thrive or grow to Greatness – That is the reality of our Environment.

So, as we put ourselves out there to try to improve this context.

My Prayers for you is that your own Vocation and your Pursuit will be among the five percent (5%) to ten percent (10%) in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.

However, irrespective of these obvious challenges and limitations; we may not be far from the Truth by saying that despite all these limitations. Nigeria is still the land flowing with “Milk and Honey”.

And behind the seemingly gloomy picture; there are still some axis who are Planting in this Season and taking advantage of the huge opportunities in the Country.

Let me just remind you of the story of Isaac as captured in Genesis 26: 12-14. It says that then Isaac sowed in the land and reaped in the same Year an hundredfold returns.

Ah, that is incredible. For he has possession of animals and the Philistines envied him.

And my Prayer for someone in this Auditorium today is that you will Prospered so much that your enemies will begin to envy you – Amen.

The question is: How does one transform an idea into a successful Business (into a Great Business)?

How do you transform an Inspiration into a successful, vibrant, thriving and Great Enterprise in this Country?

How do you navigate the Process of Greatness from the three (3) Key elements of Passion, Purpose and Prosperity?

Because in the Passage that we read in Genesis 26; we are told that there was famine in that land and so the Economic Environment was harsh.

But in that same Environment, the Lord God Almighty dropped an idea into the Spirit of Isaac and rather than Natural Inclination to go and be a Shepherd; we are told that he went into Agriculture.

He farmed rather than rear the flocks because he knew that in that situation of farming, what People needed is what? – It is FOOD!

May the Lord drop a successful idea into your Mind in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

1. The 1st “P” I will like to talk about is: PASSION

In Colossians 3:23; as young men and women; the Bible tells us that whatever you do, do it with all your heart.

… That is the seed – The Repository of Passion.

So what are you Passionate about?

And your Passion may I suggest to you are what will drive and sustain you through the hard times.

Because irrespective of how the Environment may be; when you start out on your journey to Greatness; you will encounter some hard times. And what will push through those challenges home will be the Passion, the Zeal with which you hold that idea God has committed to your hands.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

In this Clime, we tend to turn this the other way round.

It is what you see that Propels us.

… Oh, this is not reigning now and you start running towards that idea.

Oh, this is the Business that is succeeding.

No, you are allowing what you see or hear to determine your Passion and you are just following the crowd.

The admonition to you is that: Let your Passion – The Divine Idea the Almighty God dropped into your Spirit; let it determine what you see and what you adopt your Zeal to and not the other way round.

To understand Passion; let me ask you a question: What can you study endlessly without getting bored of? – It may be an indication of your Passion.

What can you do for a while without getting paid for? – That might be an indication of your Passion.

If you have Total Financial Freedom; how will you spend your Time? What is it that keeps you awake all Night? – These are indications of your Passion.

And when you are talking of how to explore your Passion to the opportunities in your Environment; it is important to understand that different Business Opportunities exist in the different Sectors of this Economy. I should know because am part of the Economy Policies Formulator.

And this underlying driver of these opportunities is the Share Population of the Country – Two Hundred Million (200,000,000) People is a huge Market.

So, when you are talking of areas of opportunities; there are huge opportunities in Agriculture. Or are we saying this as Young People, we do not want to do Mechanised Farming? It is too beneath us?

There are huge opportunities in Hospitality and that is the implication of massive Urbanization that is going on around us – The opportunity that Urbanization creates in the field of Hospitality.

There are huge opportunities in Firm Tech – Financial Technology and as Young men, this shouldn’t be strange to you. It is a Natural Thing for every young man.

There are huge opportunities in Education also coming out of the fact that the Population is Growing.

There are huge opportunities in E-Commerce. Technology has transformed the realm of buying and selling from Physical Market to the Virtual Market Place.

There are real opportunities in the Real Estate Sector.

So the opportunities are there. The question is: Are you seeing them?

And do you have the Passion to command them to where you can explore those opportunities?

May the Lord help you in the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ – Amen.

2. The 2nd “P” I will like to talk about is: PURPOSE

Proverbs 14:23 says that: All hard work brings a Profit but mere talk only tend to Poverty.

And there is a sense that you just see young men nowadays fantasized about various ideas.

It is not in the realm of fantasy that Commercial Greatness is created. It is in the realm of Efforts and applying your Efforts to translate it to reality.

May the Lord help you in Jesus Name – Amen!

So Purpose, talking of your Business is that idea that identifies a Problem within your Environment and provides a Solution for that challenge or Problem – That is Value Creation.

And People will part with their resources in exchange for the Value that you create for them and not the other way round.

Uber, this phenomena in Taxing that we are all talking about came out of the identification of a Need within the Society to be able to access Portable Transportation without the hassle that you need to go to the road and start waving for Taxi.

Which is identifying a Need and Plugging a Service to exploit that Need.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Facebook provided a means to establish a Social Network and also provide Market for your Business.

So, you need to create a Value in achieving your Purpose.

You then need to Prepare – Do a Market Research, do your Competition Analysis. Get Feedbacks from the Market about the Validity and the Commercial Viability of that Business Proposition.

Do not just say that I have an Idea Inspiration and you just enter the Market like that – NO!, it doesn’t work like that my brothers and sisters.

Then you need to Plan.

Planning and Preparation does not negate Faith – I need to let you know that.

That Planning and Preparation does not contradict Faith as Preparation is actually putting Faith to Action.

So as Christians, we tend to fall into that wrong erroneous notion that when you Plan and when you Prepare to execute Business Idea, then perhaps you are not showing Faith. Let us go to the Market and do whatever God has laid upon our hearts.

… No, God is a God of Preparation; God is a God of Planning; God is a God of Order! And He expects that in the execution of that Divine Idea that He has given you, that you will push that idea through a Process of Preparation and of Planning.

The Lord will help you in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen!

You are going to be given the Full description of the Business Idea.

What is your Market Strategy. What is your Competitive Analysis. Who am I competing with in the Space because this Idea may not be unique to me alone.

So, what is the Power? What is the Capacity of my competition? What are the Operation and Management Plan? How will I organize this Business? How do I Finance the Business?

And Finance is a critical part of Creating Value for Greatness because it is also important for us to know as young men to know that Capital is for your Business; not for your Range Rover.

The Capital is for your Business – to nurture that Business onto Greatness. It is not for your consumption to a Lifestyle.

And Natural Inclination for many young Entrepreneurs nowadays when they raise capital for their Business is to live a Good Life by buying big cars, houses and just want to show that indeed that thing that is supposed to be regenerating wealth for you, you are starving it for what you raised it for.

May the Lord help us in Jesus Name – Amen.

However, as an Entrepreneur – a Godly Entrepreneur; Capital should be for your Business solely. It is the Profit from that Business that you can then deploy to Lifestyle and Consumption.

… You must never starve the Goose that lays the Golden Egg of its resources.

May the Lord help us in Jesus Name – Amen.

So your typical Business Expenditure should not be for Range Rover and those big cars. It should be for items like the cost of renting your Premises, hiring your Staffs, your initial Equipment, the cost of Plant and Machineries and the Equipment you need for the Business; to purchase raw materials and the stocks for your Business and other things like Marketing Cost.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

And what are the Potential Sources of Finance?

Like they say; Capital is the Life Blood of your Business. And knowing where to find that money is very, very important.

I come across a lot of Young Enterprising Entrepreneurs and they will say that we have this beautiful idea but we don’t have money. No bank is willing to fund our Business Idea.

As a former Bank Managing Director; may I submit to you today that money is not sentimental. Money Finance is not Emotional. Money will go after any Good Business Proposition and not the other way round.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

I am looking for Business to fund – that is what a typical Banker will tell you. Am looking for viable Business to fund and not just some “Day-Dreaming” Ideas that young individuals have.

And the Lord will help us to understand that dynamics in the way that money behaves – Amen.

Money chases Passion, money chases viable Business Idea and not the other way round.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

And this money can be raised from various sources:

1. Your Personal Savings.
2. Assets raised from families and friends.
3. Money or Assets raised from Business Incubators – The People who just nurture Businesses, fund them from initial stage so that they can also benefit from the the Greatness the Business will grow into.
4. Various other sources of Funds.

But you have to identify the appropriate Funding that your Business requires and the Lord will help you in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

And what are Financial Bankers looking for to help you Incubate this Great Idea into Greatness.

1. They want to know if you have a Stake in the Game – Whether you have committed your own resources to this Venture or are you just exploiting or passing all the risks to somebody else?
2. They want to see what your Business Plan looks like and is it Realistic.
3. They will want to View the Risks and Rewards of the Business:

I. Do you have a Good and Result Oriented Team.

II. Who are the People that will manage this Business into Greatness – They want to know.

III. What is the Structure and Process. Apart from you; does this Idea be the same when you are not around?

IV. How well do you know the customers.

V. How well do you know about turning Capital to Profit.

VI. Are you a Honest and Transparent Manager?

… A lot of things they will like to know.

3. The 3rd “P” I want to share with us very briefly is: PROSPERITY.

a. Prosperity is the state of being Prosperous.

b. It is the reward for deliberate Planning.

c. It is the reward for Self Discipline.

d. It is the reward for constant Self Development.

e. It is the reward for Critical Execution – How are you able to translate the Ideas and the Plans into Actions.

Zechariah 4:10 says: Do not despise the days of small beginnings.

And there are small Business. Infact most of the most prominent Business in any Economy is what we call SME.

They are the backbone of any Economy and they represent the highest percentage of all Businesses. And they have created the most jobs in any Economy.

So, if you are starting small; it is not an anomaly – that is how most Business Grow anyway.

Small companies that has grown big starting small and achieving Greatness abound all over the Place.

How did Amazon start? And the Balance Sheet of Amazon are bigger than some Countries now – It started as a small Company.

Apple, Facebook, even Dangote here started from trading in Sugar. Sahara Energy started from trading in Oil and Gas. GT Bank started in 1986 from a 3-Bedroom Flat at Idowu Taylor Street in Victoria Island, Lagos State Nigeria.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

What is criminal is not to nurture that small Divine Ideas that the Lord has given you with all Dedication, with all Purpose for you to nurture it onto Greatness.

So Young’s CEO’s; we are Youth here – You that, that the General Conception is that you have to be old in order to be successful – that is not correct.

Nowadays, we see an increasing number of Youths/People at the forefront of the Business World – be it in Commerce, Industry, Entertainment etc. Young People have taken over the Business Space.

So, you should be asking yourself: What am I doing? Father, where is my own Inheritance? Where is my own Space in all of these Prosperity that I see around me.

And the Lord will answer you in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

When you look at companies like Red Media Iroko Partners etc; all of these Enterprises are managed, owned by People in their Young ages.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

In Conclusion now, having achieved Prosperity because we have conceptualized this concept of Prosperity within our Faith.

There is a Prosperity of the world but there is also the Prosperity of the child of God.

You know that having achieved all these Prosperity following the Principles that we have talked about what next?

And my admonition that as you achieved Greatness even here is that you will not be like that rich fool in the Name of Jesus Christ.

The rich fool that was described in Luke 12: 16-21.

The rich fool said: Yes I have arrived, have achieved Greatness Materially, have Prospered. But now what next?

I will just put my feet up and do nothing – not minding those around me for whom God has blessed me so that I can be a Blessing too.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

We must use our resources having Prospered to touch the lives of others – That is where True Greatness is accomplished.

My brother and sister and there are so many ways by which this can be done.

There is this Concept of Social Capital now being used to pull funds together. People who ordinarily are less privilege and do not have access to the opportunities that you have has access to – Putting together what you call a “SOCIAL CAPITAL BANK”

You can go into the areas of Health, you can impart your Generation and your Environment in the field of Education.

… And the Lord will help us as we put our resources to work for the Kingdom of God in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

I love this Passage of the Scripture very, very much. So am going to be closing this short Exaltation going back to the Book of Zechariah 4: 6-10. It says:

1. Then he answered and spake unto me saying, This is the Word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel saying, Not by Might, nor by Power but my my Spirit saith the LORD of Hosts.
2. Who art thou, O great Mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a Plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying Grace, Grace unto it.
3. Moreover the Word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
4. The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house, his hands shall also finish it and thou shalt know that the LORD of Hosts hath sent me unto you.
5. For who hath despised the day of small things? For they shall rejoice and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven, they are the eyes of the LORD which run to and fro through the whole Earth.

This is the Word of the Lord to Zerubbabel that this Greatness that you will be achieving is not going to be by my Might nor by Power but my Spirit says the Lord of Host. He say who are you Mountain?

It is the Promise of God that whatever He has Places as an Idea for your Greatness; once you apply the Principles of Diligence; He will help you to nurture it to Greatness in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Don’t despise your days of small beginnings. Don’t despise your days of Little Ideas. Don’t despise that little resources that the Lord has placed in your hands.

When the Lord wanted to do the great Miracle of Parting the Red Sea; He told Moses that there is something that you have commonized in your hands and it is that same thing that am going to use to achieved your Greatness.

There is a rod in your hands – The rod that the Lord has given to you as your instrument of Breakthrough; please don’t despise it.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Your enemies will rejoice with you to see your Days of Greatness in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ – Amen!

Whether they like it or not; they will rejoice when you mount your Podium of Success – Amen.

… So shall it be concerning you in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ – Amen

Let us begin to bow down our heads. I know that this is a Practical Talk but as children of God, as I said that you have contextualized even Divine Instructions for Physical and Material Prosperity.

Bow down you head. And if you are here in the Auditorium or reading now; you have not make any contact, you did not have any Relationship to this Great King whose desire and Plan is for you to Prosper and be in Good Health. If you don’t have a relationship with Him; I want you to begin to commit your life and your heart even unto Him right now.

Look at what Job said in Job 8:6 as you begin to Prayerfully contemplate handling over your Life to Jesus Christ – If you are Pure and Upright; surely now will He awake or arise for you and Prosper your rightful Dwelling Place. Though your beginning was small, your latter end will increase abundantly.

That is the Promise of God for you.

But there is a condition – If you are Pure and Upright.

That means that if you hand over your Life to Jesus Christ; surely God will awake for you and He will Prosper your rightful Dwelling Place for you to achieve Greatness.

And He says that though your beginning was small; yet your later end will increase abundantly.

If you are making that decision now; please just place your hands on your heart and say: Father, I come to you today in the righteousness of Jesus Christ and by the Blood of Him who lay down His Life for me. I confess my sins, I confess my iniquities. I ask my Lord and God that you will forgive me and you will cleanse me from every unrighteousness today. I want to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord and Saviour. I want to be clothed in the righteousness of Him who laid His Life for me because surely I know that you will awake for me and you will Prosper my rightful Dwelling Place.

Father Lord, I give you Praise. Eternal Rock of Ages I worship you.

CLOSING PRAYER

I Pray Oh Lord that every heart and every Lives that has uttered this simple Prayer that you accept him or her Lord into your Kingdom in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Father, I Pray that you Prosper each and everyone of your children in this Auditorium.

We declare them not only the Future of this Generation; we ask that even in the Present they will dominate in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

I Pray Oh Lord for everyone whose heart is passionately seeking for that Transformational Idea, that Business Idea that stick in our hand; Father will transform the entire Destiny in alignment with the Greatness that you have Ordained.

I Pray Lord for such heart Oh Lord that you will drop that Idea, that Plan, that Value in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

I Pray that you indeed Prosper your children wholesomely in the Mighty Name of Jesus. That they will excel in the things of the Spirit even as they excel in their Vocational and Professional endeavours.

In the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, Father I Pray for the Spirit of Excellency upon your children. I Pray for the Spirit of Abundant Blessings upon your children in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

Father, this very morning, we are gathered before You to hear from You and to learn from You on how to run “Profitable Business”.

Please Lord, teach us how to do it. Make us very successful in Life. Let everything that we do be Profitable.

We Thank You for what You have done for us so far in all these Programs of the Youth Convention since it started and we Thank You Lord for Your Glory and Your Power.

Let it be manifested again this morning – Manifest Your Power, let our lives never remain the same.

I want to thank the Almighty God for giving me the privilege to share with you on this Topic: “RUNNING A PROFITABLE BUSINESS “

I want to thank our daddy in the Lord – our Daddy GO, Pastor E.A Adeboye for this rare privilege to use the same Pulpit that he uses to Minister.

I want to thank all our daddies who are Youth Leaders – The Assistant General Overseer (AGO) and all our Pastors who has given me this opportunity.

… May the Lord anoint and bless all of us afresh in Jesus Name – Amen.

Running a Profitable Business- I want to start by saying that God knows how to run a Profitable Business andWe God is the One who can teach us how to run a Profitable Business.

Where do I have my authority from – Isaiah 48:17

“Thus saith the LORD, thy Redeemer, the Holy One of Israel; I am the LORD thy God which teacheth thee to Profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go.

So, if you indeed want to know how to make Profit in Business; ask the Lord.

We are supposed to talk on the Topic: Running a Profitable Business. I want to however let you know that I think it is necessary to first talk about: “What do you need to do to even start the Business before you start talking about how to run the Business”

And I will categorized them into three (3) Key things you need to know to be able to start Business before we talk about the things you need to do to run it Profitably.

1. You need Spiritual Revelations.

Brethren, the Bible says in the Book of Proverbs 29:18 that: Where there is No Vision, the People perish.

The Bible also says in Psalms 127:1: Except the Lord builds the House, the one who is building it is building it in vain.

You need Spiritual Understandings, Spiritual Revelations in order to start a Business. God needs to show you what you need to do.

Did I hear someone saying that how can God show me?

Oh Yes, God can speak about anything if you ask Him.

I have a favourite Scripture: Jeremiah 33:3. God says: If you call upon Him; He will answer you and He will show you two (2) things that you will do: “I will answer you and show you Deep and Secret Things which thou knoweth not”.

… That Word works Wonders like any other words in the Scriptures.

So, if you want to start a Business, ask God: What Business should I do? Where will it be located? Who and who shall be my Partners? What kind of items should I work on? Should I be dealing in Trading, should I be Manufacturing, should I be involved with Services?

… What should I really do and how do I go about it?

So the Beginning Point is the Spiritual Revelations!

2. The 2nd thing is Physical Knowledge – what I call Secular Understanding or Secular Knowledge.

You need to study and you need to have Skills for the Business you want to do.

The Physical, when you combined it with the Spiritual; results are going to come out.

That is why the Bible says in Hosea 4:6 that God’s People perish because of Lack of Knowledge.

The Bible says in Isaiah 33:6 that Wisdom and Knowledge are essential and so you need to get them.

Brethren, when God is talking about Success in Deuteronomy 28:12; when He said that you will be a Lender and not a Borrower.

It is when God blesses the works of your hands (Physical Works) added to the Spiritual that you will be Profitable.

You need the Physical side and that is where many of us made the mistake.

Prayer is important, Fasting is important but you need Physical Work to be able to support the Prayers and Fastings to get the Revelation to succeed

3. The 3rd Level or requirement is found in Psalms 1: 1-3.

We all know the Scriptures: Blessed is the man who dwelleth not in the Counsel of the ungodly – that is how it started.

But go to Verse 3 of that Scriptures; it now said that: Whatsoever the man doetth, it shall Prosper.

… So, you need to be doing a work for God to bless the works of your hands.

If you have no work; God cannot Prosper you

For God to add His Power, He has to multiply what you are already doing. That is why you must have something that you are doing. That is when God will Prosper the works of your hands; then you will be a Lender to many Nations and then you will not borrow.

… Somebody who has understanding, shout a big Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Brethren, what therefore are the conditions that you need to running a Profitable Business – There are ten (10) C’s of running a Business.

1. The first “C” is CAPITAL.

Capital is what you sow in a Business.

It is so fundamental that without it, the Business will not go far. The more of it that you have, the better is it.

It is simple as it is in the Bible – Galatians 6:7 says: Be not deceived; God cannot be mocked. Whatsoever a man sows, that he shall reap.

What you sow in a Business is your Capital. You need to sow into a Business.

And guess what? The Ministry of Jesus Christ is a Business!- Spiritual Business. I will show you this later by the Word of God.

Do you know that in Mark 10: 28-30; my namesake: Simon Peter said to Jesus saying: So what shall we gain from following you as we have left everything to follow you?

Then Jesus Christ said to him in Verses 29 to 30 that any man who will leave land, building or whatever you are doing for the Gospel and for His sake, He said that you will get an Hundredfold Returns.

What is that land and building?

It is talking about “CAPITAL” and the “INVESTMENT” that you are going to make in the Ministry.

He said that if you will make Investment in the Ministry, He said that you will get it in Hundredfold in this Lifetime with Persecutions and in the Life to come (Everlasting Life) – That is Harvest.

… Brethren, you need Capital.

You can ask me now: How do I get Capital?

Oh, there are so many ways of getting Capital.

I. One key way of getting Capital is through Savings.

You need to learn how to save.

Brethren, I found a formula in the Bible on Saving.

The formula says that you must save twenty percent (20%) of what you earn – I called it “THE JOSEPH’S FORMULA”

Joseph was a Youth like all of us here. In Genesis 41:34, the Bible says that Joseph was speaking to Pharaoh. He told him after interpreting the dreams that there will be seven (7) Years of Surplus and then seven (7) Years of Famine.

But he says to him, that in this seven (7) Years of Surplus and Abundance; one fifth (which in Mathematics means 20%) must be set aside of every Harvest of every Year.

And that way, there was enough in the seven (7) Years of Famine.

Brethren, look at the mathematics – which means that after five (5) Years; they would have been able to save in Egypt one hundred percent (100%) of all what was originally harvested in the first (1st) Year – You can imagine that. And there are still two (2) more Years of harvest.

And this is different from the subsequent harvest of Year 2, Year 3, Year 4 up to Year 7.

That was how by Spiritual Mathematics they were able to accumulate enough surplus to last Egypt and such that the whole world was coming to Egypt to collect food from Pharaoh.

I want to encourage you today to learn how to save.

Saving is one key way to raise Capital.

II. One other way to raise Capital is through your learning what I call “Windfalls”.

Sometimes, an unusual Income will come to you – somebody will just dash you money that you didn’t planned for. You are working in an office and they gave you a bonus you did not expect.

Somehow, something that you didn’t plan for comes your way. That money is a Capital for Future Business.

The temptation is to use that money to go to the shop and start a Shopping Spree.

… That temptation must be resisted as you need to raise Capital.

III. Again sometimes you have to look around and find out if there are “Idle Assets” around you.

“Idle Assets” are assets that are not yielding Value. You will need to sell them to mobilise Capital.

If you can do all these as stated above, you can have your Capital to start a Business.

And very importantly; don’t forget that when you start small; if God blesses the works of your hands as recorded in Deuteronomy 28:12. Then you are going to be a Lender and you will not be a Borrower. Then you will be Above only and you will not be beneath – That is the Secret.

2. The 2nd “C” that you need to run a Profitable Business is Capacity.

What is Capacity?

Capacity is the skill, the competence you need to run the Business.

You must not run a Business that you don’t know how to run. You cannot be a Plumber if you have not learnt Plumbing. You cannot be a Carpenter if you have not learnt Carpentry. You cannot be a Tailor if you have not gone to Tailoring School to know how to be a Tailor – You need to learn.

Subject yourself to People who already has experience on that Business.

Acquire relevant skills. Get the competency. If you don’t have the competency, you will run into problem.

And I will have a Bible Illustration to illustrate to you. And it is the example of our Lord Jesus Christ – Luke 2: 42.

The Bible says that Jesus was twelve (12) Years old. And then you look at yourself: 46 – 48. You will see that at the age of that twelve (12) years old; he was already quoting the Scriptures. He was arguing with those who knew the Bible – those who on quote attended Bible College of those days, those who knew more.

But the Bible says that they were astonished at what Jesus Christ knew.

But watch this: He did not start His Ministry at that age. Even though those who knew the Bible were astonished and amazed at what Jesus Christ already knew.

If it was some of us today; we will put a Signboard: “Something Something International Ministry” – They have started.

But Jesus Christ when you look at Luke 3:23. The Bible says that at the age of thirty (30) years old was when Jesus started – Eighteen (18) after was when He started.

How do you explain that?

Jesus Christ was building Capacity, Jesus Christ was acquiring skills, Jesus Christ was Preparing for the Ministry – The Ministry that took just three and half years, took Him eighteen (18) years to prepare for.

… When you have Capacity, then you are ready.

Don’t get into a Business that you don’t know about. Don’t start a Business that you have not been trained for.

Humble yourself and become an Apprentice. Learn under somebody, get relevant skills and then you are ready to go.

I Pray that you will have Understanding and you will do the right thing by acquiring the relevant skills in the Name of Jesus.

… Somebody who has Understanding shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

3. The next “C” is CHARACTER – We are talking about Integrity.

Brethren, if you don’t have Character, you cannot go far in Business.

If you are not willing to do it right, you won’t go far

Sustainable Business are only possible through Integrity.

You know the story of Gehazi in the Bible?

Do you know how he served Elisha?

We know how he lied because of the love of money. What happened between him and Naaman. And because of that, his Ministry was cut short.

You know the story of Judas Iscariot? Who also cut down his Ministry and lost his life in the Process – All because he lacked Integrity. Because he was doing the wrong thing – collecting bribes.

Every Business you want to do, if you don’t do it with Integrity; you will not go far in it.

I have heard the story of a very successful Business that everybody was admiring. One day, he did an Obituary of himself and sent to his Headquarters abroad that he was dead meanwhile the man was still alive.

Of course, the truth eventually came out; of course they cut off the supply line and of course his Business collapse.

Without Integrity, you cannot go far in Business. People must trust you as Business runs on Trust.

Infact, no Bank will give you money if you lack Integrity. And Bankers has a way of finding out the Integrity of Potential Borrowers.

Also Business Partners will not support you if you lack Integrity. If you want to take anything to sell on Credit, if you cheat People once, you won’t cheat them the second time.

Suddenly, you will find out that those who give you support will stop.

Check out those who as successful in Business; look at those who are very, very successful who have running Business for a long time on a Sustainable Basis; they all have Integrity, they have Characters.

Character has no alternative. You must have Integrity, People must trust you before they can be able to do Business with you.

… Trust is a MUST, then Money!

Trust opens doors. Trust is Capital.

There is something called “INTEGRITY CAPITAL”. There is something that is called “CHARACTER CAPITAL” – Money cannot buy them but they can buy money.

I Pray for you in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ; you are going to run your Business with Integrity – Amen.

If you are already running your Business and Integrity is not there; make sure that Integrity comes on board.

And I Pray in the Name of Jesus; God will cause your Business to Prosper in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.

4. The next “C” is COMMITMENT.

Another word for this is Diligence.

When you want to succeed in a Business, you must give it all that it requires.

You cannot run a Business and you are watching Movie by 12 O’Clock in the afternoon. You cannot run a Business and you are waking up by 10 O’Clock in the morning. And you think you will run it well – It is not possible.

You must get ready to wake up early; you must work late into the night – You must be Dedicated.

The Bible says in Proverbs 22:29 – Seeth thou a man that is diligent in his work. Where will he find himself? – He will sit among Kings. You will not find him among Mean Men.

I am Praying for you; you are going to sit among Kings and the Royalty in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

Brethren, part of Diligence is Determination, Resilience and Refusing to Give Up.

If you want to succeed in Business, you must not give up. When you quit, your Business has quit.

Never Give Up – Giving Up is not an option.

Look at the story of Isaac in Genesis 26:12. The Bible says that he sowed in the land in the time of Famine. But when you look at Genesis 26: 20-24; when he was now Prosperous, the Philistines envied him.

Because when you are Prosperous, get ready to be envied. But if you are envied, you must be rugged, you must continue to hold on and you must be resilient because if you Give Up, you will lose what you have.

So when Brother Isaac was Prosperous and the Philistines envied him; the Bible says in Genesis 26: 20-24; that as he was digging wells for his animals, the Bible says that they were covering the wells.

He dug the first well, they covered it – this was the well of his father Abraham o (he was digging an Inherited Property).

He dug the 2nd well, they covered it. The Bible said he dug the 3rd one, they did not contend with him again.

And the Bible said that he called the Place “REHOBOTH” – Saying that the Lord has made way for us.

I Prophesy into your life: This very morning, as you continued to be determined, resilient and committed in your Business and the Work you are doing; God will give you your own “Rehoboth” in Jesus Name – Amen.

… Somebody who has Understanding shout a big Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

5. The 5th “C” is what I called CURTAILMENT.

What I mean here is curtailing your excesses, curtail your expenditure. In essence control your Lifestyle.

There is a good example in the Bible in Luke 15: 11-16; the story of a mam we called “The Prodigal Son” even though the Bible did not use the word Prodigal.

But it was the story of a young boy, second son of a rich man who went to ask for a share of his father’s Inheritance. And we know the story – how he wasted the resources.

The Bible said that he has a “Riotous Living”.

We all know that at a time, he was begging to be given food that Pigs eat. That was how bad that things were for him.

Brethren, the formula for failure in Business is to waste what you have.

If you don’t want to be very careful with your money; your Business will go down.

You must check your Lifestyle. You must be very careful with what you have.

Get to know this: Life moves in Seasons as I showed you from the Life of Joseph – There were years of Abundance and there are years that you will have Lack.

So, if you are not careful to curtail your expenses in the Years of Abundance; when the time of Famine has come you will find things difficult – So you must curtail your expenses.

Brethren, I have found out to my surprise that People who waste money more are People who are Poor.

They are the ones who want to buy the latest phones (latest fashion) and throw away the old ones. They are the ones who want to fly First Class while rich men are flying Economy. They are the ones who want to buy the latest clothes. They are the ones who buy all kind of things that they don’t need – buy cars and park it in their house.

I have heard a Billionaire in this Country making a comment and he says: I don’t have a house in London. He says he does not have houses overseas too.

And they asked him why?

He said that he doesn’t need it.

If the richest man in Africa does not have a house overseas; why will you own a house overseas. Why will you buy a house that you visit only once a Year in a foreign Country?

It is only People who are not rich that will park a car in their house and the man is looking for money to borrow for Business.

Meanwhile that car that he parked in the house he can sell it, buy a bus, put the bus in Lagos Transport Business, get it registered and it will be generating income.

When he now has enough money in Future, he can now buy a car.

That is what they call “Wasting Asset”

Why will you keep an Asset that is wasting in your house? Why do you waste money?

Money is not happy with those who waste it. Money is only happy with those who use it very well.

I have an Israelite friend who told me once that money hears and money knows.

He said that if you look after money very well when it comes to your house and you put an Air conditioner to be blowing on it, he said that the money will invite other currencies to come and join the one you have.

He said however, if you are wasting money, If you always run to the shop to go and spend it. He said that, that money will tell other currencies that this man is a dangerous man – Don’t come to his house because if you come, he will throw you away.

… That is Wisdom, that is Knowledge!

I Pray that you will check your Lifestyle – Amen.

I Pray that you will curtail waste and control how you spend money – Amen.

You can only be rich if you control your expenses.

6. The 6th “C” is COMMUNICATION

What do I mean by this? – I mean Interaction.

If you want to have a Profitable Business, you must be ready to interact with People – You must make friends, you must relate with People.

You should note that Knowledge and Information are with the People.

Communicate with People that you know. Gather for Family Reunions, go for University Reunions, go for Family Outings – Maintain a Network of People.

Your Worth is in Your Network.

God is likely to bless you through the People that you know.

That is why the Bible says in Proverbs 18:24. It says that: A man that has friends must show himself friendly.

If you want to maintain a Network of People; you must be in constant connection with them. You must be talking with them.

There are lot of things loaded on your phone. Many people don’t know that sometimes when looking for Help all they need to do is to go through their phone.

If you go through your phone and see your Contacts List; you will be amazed with the People that you know who can help you.

… Stop Underutilizing the Contacts that you have and start Communicating with People.

Don’t live in your own life alone. Start to make friends.

If you are in Business, join the Association of the Business you belong to. Get to know what is happening, get to know what Government wants, get to know what the New Laws are and learn how to comply to them.

I Pray that God will give you Wisdom – Amen.

You will learn how to communicate with others and God will open doors of Connection for you in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

7. The next “C” is what I call CONFRONTATION.

Now, this sounds very strong for a Pastor to use the word Confrontation.

In Romans 8:37, the Bible says that: We are More than Conqueror through Jesus Christ.

Brethren, we are in the warfront. Business is War let nobody deceived you.

If Business is not war, then everybody will be successful. It is the one that wins that will be successful.

Business is not Ice Cream and Cake. Business is a very serious Business – You need to be able to know that.

Brethren, you need to know that God expects us to fight battles.

Deuteronomy 2:24 is one Scripture that I find very amazing whenever I read it. Because God was speaking to Moses and He says: Rise Up, Pass over the River Arnon: Behold I have given into thine hand Sihon the Amorite, King of Heshbon and his land: begin to possess it and contend with him in battle.

God was saying: “Move Over”. I have given the land to you.

So when I was reading that Scripture for the first time; I was expecting God to say: Ok, go and sit down and enjoy the land.

But to my surprise, God says: Begin to possess it and contend the land with him in battle.

God on one side is saying that: I have given you the land, I have given you the King. He now say again: Begin to contend with him in battle and then possess it.

Brethren, without battle you will not have Victory. Business is a battle, Business is a war.

But the good thing now is that the kind of war that we fight are “Spiritual Wars” – Our weapon of warfare are nor carnal but they are mighty through God to the Pulling down of Strongholds.

We now war on our feet. But now after fighting on our feet then we have to take Physical Efforts that are Holy for God to bless the works of our hands.

I Pray for you once more: As you contend with the forces that are contending against your Business Prosperity; God Himself will give you Victory in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

8. The next “C” is another Strong Word – CATAPULT.

This means move to another Higher Level.

I found a Scripture in 1 Chronicles 4:9. The Bible says: Jabez Prayed a Prayer – O thou will bless me Oh Lord. And he went on to say that God shall indeed enlarge his coast.

Do you know what that means?

Jabez wants his Territory to be expanded.

Do you know that God wants us to move from Glory to Glory?

That is why the Bible says in the Book of Psalms that I will increase you more and more; you and your children.

God does not want us to run a very small Business. He wants us to move from Glory to Glory.

Look at successful Businesses that are all over the world today and we are all Youths and know all the Tech Giants: Amazon, Microsoft, Facebook, Google, Twitter etc.

How many of them are serving Americans alone, how many of them are serving Europe alone? – They are all serving the whole world. They have enlarged their coast.

Begin to think Global, begin to think beyond the Local Places you are.

If you want your Business to be successful; you must enlarge your coast, you must enlarge your Business.

You cannot stay in that branch you are, you must get ready to move to the Next Level.

If you remain in a Village Business, your Profit will be Village Profit. If you remain in Local Government Business, your Profit will end up in the Local Government.

I have always told People it is not an accident that Africa’s Richest Man has businesses across Africa.

If you want to conquer Africa, you need to have Business across Africa. If you need to conquer the world, you need to have Business across the world.

… Enlarge your Coast, expand your Thinking Faculty, begin to Dream Big. Don’t forget that every big thing starts small – Change the way that you think.

And God will expand you beyond your Imaginations in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.

I Pray that you will not end up in a Village Business, your Business will go beyond Lagos – Amen.

Wherever you are staying; your Business will be known all over the world in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

9. The next “C” is COUNSEL.

What is Counsel?

It is Advice. I am talking about “Divine Counsel” now.

Proverbs 15:22 says that: Without Counsel, Purposes are disappointed. But in the multitude of Counsellors they are established.

Brethren, you need to have Safety – Safety lies in Counsel.

Proverbs 11:14 says that: In the multitude of Counsellors, there is safety.

You cannot make mistake when you have Genuine Counsellors around you.

You need Mentors. You need someone to be able to guide you. Whatever route that you trying to follow, someone has passed through that route before.

The elders are filled with Wisdom of elders to complement the Knowledge of the Youth. They will guide you.

You need Mentors or Mentress. You need somebody who will speak with you; who will guide you; who will ensured that you don’t make mistake – You need Help.

Brethren, don’t do Business without asking People. Get to know those who have been in that Business; ask them to advice you and stay under them.

Regularly, when you have an unusual problem, go and ask them what you should do. You are unlikely to make mistake if you seek Counsel of elders.

10. Finally, the last “C” is what I call COMMERCIAL ORIENTATION.

If you want your Business to work; you must know that Business is not a Joke. You don’t build wealth with emotions.

Business is a serious and rationale thing and not an Emotional Issue.

That us why when Jesus Christ was about to be distracted, He answered in Luke 2:49. He says that: Don’t you know that am going about my Father’s Business?

That is a strong statement. He is saying: Don’t you know that this is my Father’s Business?

… Jesus Christ called His Ministry my Father’s Business.

Brethren, Business is a serious business. And I want you to know something that the first first Businessman is God. – I found this out!

How do I know?

John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son to the whole world. That whosoever believeth in Him; shall not perish but have Eternal Life.

Brethren, Jesus was an Investment of God into the Kingdom.

God gave Jesus Christ so that He can win the whole world.

He made an Investment – He gave His Only Begotten Son that He may win the whole world.

That was why Jesus Christ was busy winning souls. He says that don’t you know that am going about my Father’s Business?

The Ministry is a Business and God’s Ministry is to win souls into the Kingdom.

You don’t joke when you are going around doing your own Business. There is no Emotions attached to it as Business is a serious affairs.

Brothers and Sisters; Youth of the world; I want you to know that if you follow these ten (10) “C’s”; your Business will not fail.

And I Pray for you: Your Business will never go down in Jesus Name – Amen.

Those of you who have not yet started; you will start in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen!

There is something that I learnt from a Business School that I attended recently. It is called “KIGAI” – You can Google it.

It is a Japanese Acronym for determining the kind of Business that you will do. We all know that the Japanese are serious successful People.

And KIGAI means that the Business that you will do will be a Business in which you have the following:

1. You must have Passion for the Business.

This reminds us of what our daddy said last night (Thursday, 3rd of October during Plenary Session 10 – A Session with the Father. Get the Full text on our Website or our DMC Social Handles).

He said that the thing that you are thirsty for, you will get it – Be it Money, Power and Glory.

He said that what you are thirsty for, then you will have Passion for it.

Let me tell you that the Business you must do must be the Business that even if you are not being PAID for it; you will still have to do it.

Any Business you do even if you are not been PAID for it, you love it and have Passion for it; that is where God wants to make you to be successful.

2. You must be very Good at doing the Business.

Not only must you have Passion for it; you must be very Good at it – CAPACITY.

3. The world must need that Business that you want to Produce.

4. The Business must be Rewarding to You.

This means that it must Pay you either in Financial Returns or Spiritual Returns.

I work in a Developmental Bank (Bank of Industry).

Our own Returns is not measures by Profits but by the:

1. By the number of Jobs that we are creating.
2. By the number of Savings of Foreign Exchange.
3. By the number of Localisation of Production so that the Country will be able to source Raw Materials Locally.

… That is my own Measurement of Returns or Rewards.

Before I close, I have taken time to study the Autobiographies of so many successful People all over the world – In Business, Sports, Religion and even in Music. And found out that there are three (3) things in common – all of which starts with the Letter “H”:

1. Hardworking
2. Holiness
3. Humility

If you are Hardworking, you are Holy and you are Humble; God will open a Place for you at the Top – It can only be a matter of time.

Remember that I started by telling you that Vision is what you need. Vision has an Appointed Time.

And the Beginning Point is Vision: The Spiritual, then the Physical.

Talking about Vision of your Business. Do you know that as am speaking to you now; this is the highest crowd that I have ever spoken to in my life.

But watch this: I saw you twenty four (24) Years ago. Then I was working in Port Harcourt, just a small worker in the Mission. I had a dream and I saw this large crowd and I was not yet a Pastor – was speaking to the crowd. Woke up and said what is this?

And few days after, I had another dream/vision: Daddy GO visited Port Harcourt in that dream and People were lining up to shake hands with him in turns. When it got to my turn, he shook my hands and won’t release it. He turned to the Pastor standing by his side and said: This is the man we have been looking for – that was twenty four (24) Years ago.

And today, what I saw twenty four (24) Years ago is coming to Manifestations.

I am Prophesying into your Life that every Vision God has shown you; as long as you continue to work hard, continue to Pray, be Businesslike in your approach, live Holy; then that Vision will come to Past in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

I say that your Vision will not die – Amen

Your Vision will come to Manifestations – Amen.

You will run Profitable Business that you will not be ashamed of – Amen.

What you need to run the Business, God will Give it to you and you will be celebrated all over the world in the Name of Jesus Christ – Amen.

So shall it be in Jesus Mighty Name we have Prophesied – Amen.

Finally, we are going to Pray now – Just one (1) Prayer Point.

If you can stand up and Pray with me. That Prayer us taken from the Scripture: Isaiah 48:19.

Where God Himself said: I am the Lord, I am your God.

When you hear God saying such, He is trying to lay emphasis. He is saying you better listen attentively. Because after that, He said: I am the One that teachers you how to make Profit. Am the One who will guide you on the way which you should go.

So say: Father, you are,my God. Teach my his to make Profit.

Thank You my Father. In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

PRAYERS

We Present ourselves to You. You are the Only One who knows how to make Profit. That is why Isaiah 48:17 says that you will teach us how to make Profit.

From this very morning Lord, each and everyone of us listening to me all over the world or reading by every Medium, Father teach us how to make Profit in Jesus Name.

Help Oh Lord to avoid losses in Jesus Name.

Everything that you need to do in order to make us Profitable in our Ministries, Families, Places of Works, Careers, Homes; Father help us to be Profitable there in Jesus Name.

Equip us with all the Resources that we need.

Let Your Name alone be Glorified. In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen

… You know that a Pastor will not finish talking about Business without talking about Salvation.

Believe you me, if you want God to Help you, then you must be a friend of God – God cannot help His enemies.

So, if you want to receive God’s Anointing to Prosper, if you want Help, just raise your hands wherever you are so that I can Pray for you and God will save your Soul. Please come to the Altar now.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

Almighty God in the Name of Jesus; I Pray for everyone who wants to say: I want You to save their Souls; remove their names from the Book of Death and write their names in the Book of Life.

Give them Power to be able to live Holy.

The Anointing that they needed not only to Prosper but to make Heavens; Father release now to them in the Name of Jesus.

Save all their Souls and have Mercy on them. Let Your Blood wash away their sins.

1 And the Lord spake unto Moses, saying,

2 Send thou men, that they may search the land of Canaan, which I give unto the children of Israel: of every tribe of their fathers shall ye send a man, every one a ruler among them.

… Tell your neighbor and shake them to be of good courage!

Numbers 13:7-33

7 Of the tribe of Issachar, Igal the son of Joseph.

8 Of the tribe of Ephraim, Oshea the son of Nun.

9 Of the tribe of Benjamin, Palti the son of Raphu.

10 Of the tribe of Zebulun, Gaddiel the son of Sodi.

11 Of the tribe of Joseph, namely , of the tribe of Manasseh, Gaddi the son of Susi.

12 Of the tribe of Dan, Ammiel the son of Gemalli.

22 And they ascended by the south, and came unto Hebron; where Ahiman, Sheshai, and Talmai, the children of Anak, were . (Now Hebron was built seven years before Zoan in Egypt.)

23 And they came unto the brook of Eshcol, and cut down from thence a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they bare it between two upon a staff; and they brought of the pomegranates, and of the figs.

24 The place was called the brook Eshcol, because of the cluster of grapes which the children of Israel cut down from thence.

25 And they returned from searching of the land after forty days.

26 And they went and came to Moses, and to Aaron, and to all the congregation of the children of Israel, unto the wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh; and brought back word unto them, and unto all the congregation, and shewed them the fruit of the land.

30 And Caleb stilled the people before Moses, and said, Let us go up at once, and possess it; for we are well able to overcome it.

31 But the men that went up with him said, We be not able to go up against the people; for they are stronger than we.

32 And they brought up an evil report of the land which they had searched unto the children of Israel, saying, The land, through which we have gone to search it, is a land that eateth up the inhabitants thereof; and all the people that we saw in it are men of a great stature.

33 And there we saw the giants, the sons of Anak, which come of the giants: and we were in our own sight as grasshoppers, and so we were in their sight.

… Turn to your neighbour and say: Neighbour, let’s go and take possession at once: for we are well able!

If you believe God is speaking to you, let your Amen be the Loudest – AMEN!!

Let God hear your Amen loud and clear – AMEN!!

You shall overcome the North! You shall overcome the South! You shall overcome the West! And you shall overcome the East!

You shall overcome the entire Nation of Nigeria! You SHALL overcome the entire Continent of Africa! You shall overcome the entire four (4) corners of the world!

… If you believe it, let your Amen be the Loudest – AMEN!

At this junction I want to Pray for somebody under the sound of my voice; A Grasshopper Mentality will leave your life today – Amen!

… Ah! that Amen is sitting on a wheelchair! Let God hear your Amen loud and clear.

From this moment henceforth, you will no longer operate with a Grasshopper Mentality!

NUMBERS 14:1-4

1 And all the congregation lifted up their voice, and cried; and the people wept that night.

2 And all the children of Israel murmured against Moses and against Aaron: and the whole congregation said unto them, Would God that we had died in the land of Egypt! or would God we had died in this wilderness!

3 And wherefore hath the Lord brought us unto this land, to fall by the sword, that our wives and our children should be a prey? were it not better for us to return into Egypt?

4 And they said one to another, Let us make a captain, and let us return into Egypt.

In the Name of the Lord of Hosts; you will not return to the land of Egypt – Amen!

Our Father in the Lord, the General Overseer of this great Commission, Pastor E.A Adeboye, has instructed that we are to watch a particular video, and this video deals in-depth with the Topic that is before us this morning.

I want you to take note that if you are slow in the Spirit, your neighbour has permission to GRAB what belongs to you. Because in the Spiritual Realm – OVERTAKING is allowed!

If you don’t believe me, ask Esau and Jacob: Esau was born with the birthright, but Jacob (who happened to be a Nigerian Sharp Guy) overtook his elder brother and took the birthright.

“… Because Nigerians no dey Carry LAST!”

And I have no doubt that the “Youth of RCCG no go Carry LAST!”

So turn to your neighbour and say: Neighbour, if you are slow in the Spirit this morning I will GRAB your Miracles; I will GRAB your Breakthrough; I will GRAB your Blessings and add it to my own.

Because, out of the heart comes Abundance; for whatever it is a man thinketh in his heart – SO IS HE!

The Bible tells us in Luke 1:37 – For with God NOTHING shall be impossible.

… That is the Scripture that brought the man standing before you this morning into the world. 

The three (3) siblings that I heard came ahead of me, were born by Caesarian Operation. But when our Father in the Lord and our Mother in Israel read the Scripture in Luke 1:37 and they saw that nothing was Impossible; it brought about the recalibration of their MIND SET.

And as a result, that night: a Marital Wrestling took place in the bedroom. And nine (9) Months later; Oluwadamilare, Oluwaseun, Temitayo Adeboye came into this world:

“To TAKE OVER TERRITORIES for the Kingdom of God!

Can I Pray for somebody here today? In the Name of the Lord of Host; you will begin to Take Over Territories in your workplaces. You will take over in your Schools. You will take over in the Market Place. You will take over.

Everywhere that you find yourself – you will take over – Amen.

I want you to know that even the word impossible is spelt “I Am Possible”.

Even the word impossible is spelt “I AM POSSIBLE’.

It is a matter of your Mindset – the way you look at it.

I don’t know who God is speaking to today; I hereby decree concerning Fifty (50) people who are quick enough in the Spirit this morning: Everywhere you find yourself from now on, you will be doing EXPLOITS – Amen.

That Amen is sitting in a wheelchair! That Amen get kwashiorkor ooh!!

The Bible says: one (1) of you shall chase a thousand (1,000), two (2) of you shall chase ten thousands (10,000)

By Mathematical calculations; three (3) of you shall chase a hundred thousand (100,000); four (4) of you shall chase a Million (1,000,000).

So GRAB your neighbour’s hand, as we Pray a Prayer of Agreement.

Lift up those hands to the Most High God and cry to Him from the button of your heart and say: FATHER, every territories that we have lost to the evil ones, today RESTORE!

Go ahead and talk to the Most High God:

Every Territories that we have lost to the evil ones, to the enemies, to the devil, to witches, to wizards, today oh Lord, let there be Seven (7) folds Restoration.

Every territories that we have lost, every land that we have lost, every authority that we have lost, today oh Lord, let there be Restoration!

Thank You Father, Blessed be Your Holy Name. In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

… Let your Amen be full of FIRE – AMEN!!!

“When you are not In-Charge of a Territory, you are subject to whoever is In-Coharge.”

But when you are In-Charged of a Territory; you have Dominion over that Domain.

It means that you are no longer a subject, you are no longer a victim, because God has given you VICTORY.

Your name has changed to VICTOR (if you are a man). And your name will changed to VICTORIA (if you are a lady).

I want you to lift up the hands of whomever you are holding and cry to the Most High God: FATHER, I am Praying for my neighbour; let Power change into their hands!

Go ahead and talk to the Most High God:

Father, I am Praying for my neighbour, I am Praying for DMC FAMILY MEMBERS: Let Power change into their hands; give them Dominion in the morning, Dominion in the Noon, Dominion, in the evening Dominion.

If they are going out – Dominion! If they are coming in – Dominion! At their workplace – Dominion! In their School – Dominion! In the village – Dominion! In the city – Dominion!

… Let them have DOMINION! Let Power Change Hands!

Thank You Father! Blessed be Your Holy Name. In Jesus’ Name we Prayed – Amen.

Let your Amen sound like THUNDER – AMEN!

Spiritual controls the Physical; and so for us to take over Territories, it must first be done in the Spiritual realms.

When I got to Bahamas (in England) to study; I discovered that it was the Muslims who were running the Town. They have the best Houses, they have the best Businesses, they have the biggest everything!

And I made up my mind and I said: “God, give me Bahamas or I die”.

So I discovered that in the morning around 4:30am they will come out on the street of Bahamas 
with their “Testbiu” and they will begin to pray to their god

And begin to take over the atmosphere! They will begin to take over the Territories! Before the rest of us wake up: they have taken over.

So I made up my mind that: “okay – no shaking, Nigeria no dey Carry last!”

By 4:30am I will carry my Bible too and begin to walk through the streets of Bahamas – and I began to Speak in TONGUES:

Father, the Earth is Yours, and fullness thereof, Bahamas is Yours, England is Yours, Europe is Yours and You have given it to us.

And we began to takeover, and in a short matter of time things TURNED Around in our favour!

I want you to lift up the hands of the one you are holding and DECREE; say FATHER, (call the name as if you mean business).

FATHER; every State in Nigeria is ours, the Nation of Nigeria is ours, the Continent of Africa is ours, every Nation in the world is ours.

So we hereby take Possession now! Go ahead and talk to the Most High God:

Every State in the North, every state in the South, every state in the East, every State in the West is ours! We hereby take Possession now: Possession of the North, West, South, East. .

Every country in Africa, every Country in the World, we take Possession Now!

Thank you Father, Blessed be Your Holy Name, in Jesus Mighty Name we Prayed – Amen.

And it is the Human Will that controls the Destiny of Man.

Therefore, the most Dangerous thing and the most Precious thing that God gave man is what? – THE WILL!

Therefore, the SEAT of the WILL is in the Conscious and Subconscious mind.

The MIND – that is the Center of the Soul.

And what is the Soul?

It is the combination of the Mind, the Will and Emotions that makes the Soul the most important thing we have.

That is why the greatest battle is for the Soul – not the Body, not the Spirit.

And the Soul is the First Media that God created; FIRST Component of Media that God created!

Which is to let us know that the Soul is the Mediator between us and God; between the Spirit and the Body.

And as we have been taught, the Soul receives from the sense and then deposits in the Spirit.

The Soul feeds the Spirit, it also receives from the Spirit.

WHY? – The Body transmits to the Soul and then it is transmitted to the Spirit.

As we all know, man is a Spirit that lives in a Body but possesses a Soul – Whoever control the Soul, controls the mind!

And it is God’s original Plan that He will use your Soul as a Medium to Rule this world.

That is why God focuses His Number One (1) Priority in the Prosperity of our SOUL.

I Pray for one thousand (1,000) People under the sound of my voice this morning or reading; your Soul will be Prosperous – Amen!

Therefore, God is battling for our Soul and Satan is also battling for our Soul.

That is why every Media Outlet is after our Soul.

So watch out, be careful of what you watch on TV and what you listen to because they after your Soul.

If Media is not interpreted correctly, then a wrong Message is going to be passed across.

Therefore the Mediator needs to interpret the Message correctly.

Media controls the Message, so therefore they control the quality of the Message and when the Media get it wrong, the people get the wrong Information.

Go ahead and appreciate God for that.

So in conclusion; before you can take over anything; conquer any Territory; be In-Charge anywhere; you must first take control of your Mindset – your SOUL!

There are seven (7) areas, if you want to be honest and want to be pragmatic and deliberate; that we must begin to CONTROL – as the Young Adults and Youths of RCCG:

1. The SPIRITUAL REALM:

That is why we started with heavy Prayers.

And I believed by God’s Grace, we are in Control and we will continue to be in Control of that Mountain in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!

2. The MOUNTAIN OF FAMILY:

The late Col. Gaddafi said concerning Europe and the rest of the World, he said: “Listen, we don’t need to bomb them with suicide bomb, just move into this Nation and begin to have as many Muslim children as possible; and in a (short) matter of time, our numbers will overcome their numbers.”

So as Christians, we must be deliberate about family: Stop giving birth to just one (1) child and say: “that is all I can afford!”

Commit your family into God’s hands and say Father, if it is twelve (12) – a Football Team You want me to bring up; they are Your heritage. And you will provide for me to look after them, so here I am oh Lord, use me!

… Can I get an Amen to that – Amen?

3. THE MOUNTAIN OF EDUCATION:

It is high time that when we are in School, we are on Fire in the Fellowship; but in the classroom, we are a dulling.

We should be the Brightest, we should be the Best in class. And all others should be coming to us for lessons after the class.

… Can I get an Amen to that – Amen?

Can I pray for every individual here who is student? I hereby Decree, the Spirit of Excellence will rest upon you today – Amen!

What is the fourth (4th) Mountain we must conquer?

Don’t forget what Caleb said: “Give me this Mountain oh Lord!”

4. THE MOUNTAIN Of MEDIA:

Social Media, Print Media, Video Media, Sound Media; every form of Media – begin to penetrate!

When the evil ones mention something derogatory about the Church, reply with a thousand ones and cancel out their insults with RESULTS.

So whosoever is “Daddy Freeze” – wherever he is, his destiny is FROZEN; because you and I are on Fire for God – Amen!

… Can I get an Amen to that? – Amen!

5. THE MOUNTAIN OF ART AND ENTERTAINMENT:

Stop listening to Worldly Music, let us develop our own Music.

Stop dancing their dance, Stop the ‘Shaku-Shaku’ dance. Develop our own dance steps: develop a Redeemed Dancing Steps.  

Can I get a louder Amen to that? – Amen!

6. THE MOUNTAIN OF BUSINESS:

Stop looking for employment; start your own Business – become an Employer of labour.

… Because, whoever pays the Pipers dictates the tunes!

No more will someone tell you that: “You can go to Church; you can’t go for Convention – you have taken all your Leave!”

You are the one who will determine what you want to do with your time, with your money, with your resources.

Can I get a Powerful Amen to that? – Amen!

7. THE MOUNTAIN OF GOVERNMENT AND POLITICS:

Dr. Myles Munroe said something at the last Part of his Message.

He said: “You cannot sit down complain and be mad. He said participate, take Control and be glad”.

.. Shall I repeat? “You cannot sit down and complain and be mad, participate, take Control and be glad!”

Yesterday, at the AGENDA, the Panelist told us that: “If you are not in the room where they are making decisions you have no option but to abide by those decisions.”

Therefore, we must get into those rooms where decisions concerning our Destiny are being made; shake the table, rearranged the table. If the table does not suit us – break the table!

Which means, if you have not yet joined a Political Party (because I want you to listen):

… All of these Mountains are controlled by the Mountain Of Government and Politics (part from the Spiritual)!

So if you want to control anything; you control Family, control Education, control Media, control Art, control Business, the Government: the Politicians can make a Policy tomorrow that will render you redundant.

But if you take the Spiritual (which we have taken) and you now take over the Politics; you now determine the Policies that will govern your Destiny!

So I want to challenge you this morning before I drop the microphone; there is a Political Party that have heard that we are doing our Annual Youth Convention and they have taken Permission.

They have come: they have set up a Stand somewhere over there.

As you are going on break this entire day, visit their Stand, get a form, register and become a Card Carrying Member.

Go for Meetings at the Ward Level, at the Local Government Level, at the State Level, at the Federal Level.

Become State Chairman, become State Secretary, become State Treasurer, become State Auditor and take control.

Can I hear somebody say: We are taking Control?

Rise to your feet;
Psalms 24:1-10 (refer!) This is Jacob; don’t forget Jacob is a Nigerian.

… You want me to Proof it to you?

His name literally means 419, Yahoo-Yahoo, Sup-planter.

Everywhere he went, he bamboozled them: bamboozled the brother, bamboozled the father, bamboozled the Uncle.

Jacob was a Nigerian!

I’m not pointing at any direction of the Country that he comes from that direction.

“… But Nna how far now?” – Laughing!

That is why the most enterprising people from our Nation, Nigeria come from that part of the Country!

Psalms 24:6 says: “This is the Generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob”

Then verse Seven (7) says: “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of Glory shall come in.”

… Now, come and see the LIVER!

Verse Eight (8) says: “Who is this King of Glory? -The Lord responded – The Lord Strong and Mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. is this King of Glory?”

… The Lord AROSE – He is the King of Glory!

I hereby decree: every doors and every gates shut against your Glory shall be lifted up today in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

Lift up your hands to the Most High God – cry to Him from the bottom of your heart and say Father; (cry to Him if you mean the Business) and say Father; every evil Doors, every evil Gates shut against my Glory, today let It be lifted up!

Do we have Youths that are ready to take over? – If you are ready to take over shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah! … Amen!

We want to thank God for the privilege which we will not take for granted – Our father in the Lord, daddy GO and our mother in the Lord, mummy GO; we want to say that we will continue to celebrate you.

The AGO’s (Assistant General Overseers) – especially the AGO in Charge of Young Adults and Youth Affairs, Pastor Peter Amenkhienan and the Youth Directorates – The National Youth Pastor (Pastor Previous Akingbade); thank you for this Privilege.

And to all those of you who has come to listen; God Bless You – Amen!

BIBLE TEXT: 1 CORINTHIANS 15:41

“There is one Glory of the sun, and another Glory of the moon, and another Glory of the stars: for one star differeth from another star in Glory.”

… Now this Scripture says the sun has its Glory, the moon has it’s Glory, the star has its Glory. Now one star Glory cannot stop another star Glory from Shinning – it is their Glory.

Instead for us to do the right things; instead for us to take the right steps, instead for us to keep into what to do as Ordained by God; most of the times we sit back and murmur. We sit back and envy.

Can you lift up your right hand again and say: “I MUST SHINE.”

Quickly, we will be Anchoring on Politics.

Politics originated from Greek words.

It means affairs of the cities (Polis). It means Politeia.

Many definition of Politics has been deposited severally. I will just mention one common one which states that Politics is he who gets what, how and when.

That means that it doesn’t mean when you are contesting Elections or you not contesting Elections.

By this definition; Politics is in your family, Politics is in your Business Place and even Politics is in the Church – Hallelujah!

Politics is also defined as the Authoritative Allocation of Scarce Resources. People have been given Authority to allocate the very, very scarce resources that the Society, Community or the Nation has.

But I want to let you know that Aristotle told us that: “Man is a Political Animal”.

If you are not a “Political Animal” and you so say that you are not; it further says that you are an Outcast like a bird who fly’s alone.

Some Authorities mention some things about Politics saying that we act Politically when we take some decisions – When we take some decisions on behalf of People then we are acting Politically.

Even if in your Classroom as a Class Monitor; you are acting Politically.

Sometimes, you may not be pronounced – they don’t vote for you. But somehow, there are some inmate Gifting in you and you begin to take some Charge talking on behalf of a set of People; you are acting Politically.

Politics is also an activity through which People make People preserve and also amend the General Rule under which they live and get their livelihood.

Now very quickly, we need to develop as Youth – Move over to the realms of “Taking Charge”.

But right now, we must think for certain People that wants to move forward. We have a Team called “Think Tank”.

Who are these Set of People?

They are the Set of People who are able to know what they are, where they are, the challenges they Project in the Future.

People of God, the Future of God for any Nation is in the hands of the Youth. And any Nation who has not or who do not Project for the Future is a Nation that is about to be destroyed.

In the United States; if you Google: www.globaltrends2025; they gathered Great Minds together and they call it: “THE NATIONAL INTELLIGENCE COUNCIL”.

And they look at what will happen in the next ten (10) to fifteen (15) Years and they Projected some things that will happen in 2025.

I will talk about three (3) of those Projections:

1. They Projected a Shift in Global Power.

The first thing that they looked at is: “The Power Elements”.

How many of you are here for Power?

If you are here for Power, shout a loud Amen – Amen.

That this Power will begin to shift from Bipolar System (Russia and USA); taking charge through a Unipolar System (Only the USA) and then begin to shift to Multipolar (India, Brazil and China).

And now you are beginning to see some things happen. Time will fail me to go into full details.

2. There is going to be a Shift in National Wealth.

Before, USA was a Monopoly – If you don’t have a dollar, you cannot even travel or transact International Business.

But now you are seeing that China is gradually Taking Over.

When you study the Chinese; they have ten (10) Years Development Plan. And in those ten (10) Years; they dealth on issues. And I want to assure you that seventy percent (70%) of the content of their Development Plan was hinged on the Youth.

How many Youths are ready to Take Over?

Let those Youths shout a loud Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

A Shift in Wealth. See what is going on now; we are talking of Petroleum, Petroleum. Now, they are talking of Electric Vehicles. They are talking of Power Surge through Electricity.

If we don’t move fast and have the right Mindset; they will soon deplore all their Petroleum cars to us when the Electricity cars come up.

3. Population Explosion.

The Population Explosion of the world is Projected at 8.2 Billion to 8.5 Billion and forty percent (40%) of these are expected to be Africa.

Now, Nigeria is expected to be in the region of three hundred and fifty million (350,000,000) as at that time.

Now, what are the Content Implications. When now that we are one hundred and eighty million (180,000,000) to two hundred million (200,000,000) we are still finding it difficult to feed.

If we don’t Plan, if the right set of People don’t Take Over resources; when we get to three hundred and fifty million (350,000,000) People; the Land Mass will not change – It is the Brain and Mentality that will Change.

And until this Change comes; something is looming – Hunger is looming.

And when you have a Society that is playing with hunger; everything and anything goes.

So, we need to start thinking. We need to change our Mindset. We need to have a Paradigm Shift.

And am believing God that as we key into Politics as a Tool; the Lord will take us to where we should be in Jesus Name – Amen.

Do you know that we have more Pastors in Nigeria than Imams?

Anybody arguing that fact? – We have more Pastors in Nigeria than Imams.

But in Governance, Key Positions; you have very, very few. The Percentage and Ratio is something that is even shameful to mention.

Who is Thinking for Nigeria? Who is Thinking for the Church?

… We need to start Thinking.

Quickly: POLITICS AND THE SCRIPTURES.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

God is interested in Politics.

Isaiah 9:6-7 says that the Government shall be upon His shoulders – Do you know that Scripture?

… And of the Increase of His Government shall be no end.

If He is not interested in Government – He is not talking about Government in Heaven but He is talking about Government here on Earth.

He said that we shall be Light of this world. Not the Light in Heaven.

Your Light will be useless in Heaven because in Heaven there is Gold and Light all over. Salt of the Earth.

When the three (3) Wise Men in Matthew 2:2; when they came saying: Where is He that is born the King of the Jews?

A King is a Political Mandate. They were not going to look for the Priest. He manifested as a King and as a Priest.

Revelations 5:10 says: And thou made unto us our God, Kings and Priest.

So anything short of that means as my father will say: Living Ignatius.

Zechariah 13:7(b) says if a head is smitten, the sheep scatters.

If the Head does not have the right head; sheep scatters.

And when the Righteous rules; the Bible says: The People rejoice.

We have been wallowing in Political Apathy for a long time – Thank God for the Revival. The Revival took the shape maybe because of enlightenment like this. Because of the “Think Tank Modulus” like this.

There was a time the Church does not even talk about Sex and the devil took it up and sex went hale wire.

But thank God that the Church changed.

Sex is something that was Ordained by God but we don’t teach it – we don’t talk about it.

There was a time as Christians that you don’t go and study Law – They will say that you want to come and lie.

Study Accountancy – They say you want to go and steal money

And so several of us lose the Core Areas of our Calling where we are meant to affect the world.

When you don’t participate in Politics and Governance; mediocrity rules.

I always quote my Mentor Plato. He says that those who are too smart to engage in Politics end up being ruled by those who are dummy – That is People who no get sense.

… They will rule you if you stay out of it.

We have Poor Standards in the Society, General Backwardness, No Initiatives to move the System Forward.

There will be Pain and Torture: People will be living in Fear, People will be far from God.

And once God is far from them because of the kind of Leader and where he is leading them to.

Jesus Christ says: Follow Me and I will make you who you will follow.

Something determines where you are going to end – It is either the Propagation of the Word of God, which is our Primary Assignment. They can go and do anything.

But if a Ruler is there who is a child of God; definitely some of those wrong Legislation; some of these Executive this, Executive that; will not be put to Place to end up causing People to murmur.

Because when you murmur according to 1 Corinthians 10:10; the Bible says that God is angry and destruction is imminent.

Very Quickly: POLITICS IS NOT A PROFESSION.

People can contest with me on this. I don’t believe that if you are a Political Scientist that is a Profession.

… But Politics is for all of us and that is what I agreed.

Governance is a bit of Politics.

An arm of Politics is just for People sitting together and saying this man has excelled in a particular Profession, this man has done well in his way of life – so let all of us give him the responsibility of our “General Common Wealth”.

When they give you a Form to fill and they say Profession and you write Politics. I see you as an understanding of a thug or somebody that want to shout unnecessarily.

Politics is for everybody. And that is why we must participate in it.

Don’t stay back – Either you are Voting or Contesting or you are Coordinating Things.

People of God, quickly let us see some Qualities that we are looking for – Some Qualities and am going to relate them to the Scriptures.

In Politics, if you want to Take Over Governance; there are some Qualities that you must have. There are some Mindsets that you should have.

1. You must know that God is Sovereign.

If you forget God about Leadership, then you have missed it.

If you forget God about Governance, you have lost it.

God is Sovereign. Psalms 75:6 says: Promotion does not come from the East, West, South; it comes from God – You must know that.

1 Samuel 2: 6-8 says: He lifted Up the beggar from the dunghill.

People of God, know that it is God that makes Leaders – don’t forget this.

Because most of the times; we tend to be half ways as Christians and when we have some Privileges, we forget that it is the Sovereignty of God that makes a Leader.

2. You must have a Solution Mindset.

Americans say think of what you can do for America and not what America can do for you – A Solution Mindset.

Everybody in Life; especially when you give your Life to Jesus Christ; you are created to be a Solution and not a Problem. And challenges of a Society can never ends.

So, look at the life of Joseph: Joseph was relevant because he was a Solution.

He was a Solution in his father’s house, he was a Solution in the Prison and he was a Solution in Portiphar’s house. And everyone and anyone he gets in contact with, he was put in Charge.

To the extent that when Pharaoh saw that this man is the Solution to Egypt; he didn’t ask him where are you from? He didn’t ask him what is your father’s name? – He simply gave him to Take Charge.

People of God, they may not like your face, they may not like where you are coming from, they may not like your father’s name. But if you have the Solution to the Society, men will put you on top – Amen.

So as a child of God, have a Solution Mindset.

In Acts 9:6; Paul has a Solution Mindset. Every other Apostles do not have the same report as Paul – Paul said that when Jesus Christ struck him and He said as he gave the Revelation, he said: What do you want me to do for you? What kind of Service? What kind of Area do I proffer Solution?

You remember, look at the life of Paul – Paul was the Chief of all the Apostles.

… Have a Solution Mindset!

However, in Exodus 1: 6-8 when a Pharaoh that does not know Joseph came to the Throne; the Israelites began to suffer – they were tortured.

One man can be a Solution and Change the Destiny of a whole Nation.

How many of you are prepared to be a Solution? – Shout a loud Amen – Amen!

3. Be ready to make Sacrifices.

In John 10:11; Jesus Christ gave us an example. He said that: I am the Good Shepherd.

The Good Shepherd is the one that is ready and prepared to lay down his life for the People.

If you are not ready to make Sacrifices; People are watching you. It is not when they say Governorship Form is ten million naira (#10,000,000); then you will raise the ten million naira (#10,000,000) and pay. The People that will decide, they have been seeing you and watching you: What kind of Life is this man living? How can we access him?

And that is what am trying to release to us this morning.

The Good Shepherd – Look at David; when his other brothers were sleeping in the house, he was in the bush working – Sacrificing. He was ready to risk his life.

That was why he was the only Person prepared to confront Goliath that was bringing reproach to the Nation of Israel.

Until Esther in Esther 4:16 says that: I will go to see the King and if I perish, I perish. That was the only time Deliverance came.

Because there may be some People who may be in Position but they are just useless – Just there.

People are crying to you but you don’t add any Value.

I Pray for you: God will cause the Power to reign to come upon you in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

4. You must have a Service Mind.

Job 36:11; the Bible says that if they Obey and Serve Him, they shall spend their days in Prosperity and their Years in Pleasure.

Service is Important!

What is your Mindset? – Are you prepared to Serve or you are prepared to show that you are in Charge?

People of God; Jesus in John 13: 8-12 has come down to show us the example by washing His Disciples’ feet – That is Service.

He was showing us that you need to come down; you need to do works.

Daddy always tells us that any hands that is not ready to do labour cannot carry Anointing.

I Pray for you: Your hands will carry Anointing – Amen!

Unfortunately, when we talk about Service; several People fall into the Pits of “Eye Service”.

Instead of Serving God and rendering Service to the Society and seeing and ensuring that God is seen and the One who will give Promotion will Take Charge; they go for “Eye Service”.

People of God; Ephesians 6:6, Colossians 3:2 talks about Eye Service.

Not when you see the Pastor coming, not when you see the Governor coming you begin to clear grass – Not that!

Eye Service is not a Christian Character.

5. Study.

2 Timothy 2:15; the Bible says: Study to show thyself approved unto God; a Workmanship that needed to be ashamed rightly dividing the Word of Truth.

If you don’t study, you can never be approved.

If you think that you are a Professor, you still need to Study. If not, a Master Degree Holder can bring you Knowledge and you will be useless.

If you don’t Study, you cannot meet up with what is it at every point in time.

If you don’t Study, you cannot bring NEWS because the world is looking for New Things. The world is looking for Advancement.

It takes you to Study to get there. It takes Readers to be Leaders. If you are not a Reader, you cannot Lead.

And most of the time, we find not People who are infront, who are ready to Study, who are not ready to Keep advancing.

So, People staying behind them if you find a Leader of such, there is an imminent Rebellion, imminent Trouble

What are we talking about?

Nobody is prepared to stay behind a Vehicle that is not moving because if you continue to stay there; they will ask of your Mentality – My friend don’t you want to Overtake?

When Overtaking is about to take place, the man infront will be elbowing, will be blocking. Even in Churches, such challenges are there. You see it in the case of Saul and David: Saul left the Covenant and was pursuing David – throwing Javelin at him.

You see that in several aspects of Politics and Governance.

As a child of God, you have the privilege to be infront, ensure that you continue to Study, continue to Advance your Knowledge.

I know of some People in some Organization and Establishment; they were employed as a Typist (I know a particular lady); today she is a Professor; became a Dean but she was employed as a Typist.

Whereas, some People will be a Typist, will become Senior Typist. If you are in Civil Service, they will get to a time they would have gotten to a Bar. Then you go about murmuring and your Destiny will not be fulfilled.

6. You must be ready to Submit to Authority.

In 2 Kings 3:11; Elisha was said to be pouring water into the hands of Elijah.

If you look at the History of these two (2); one was from a Prosperous and Known Family while the other one has no background. But the other man is your Leader and so you must be ready to Submit.

Listen very carefully; No King will handover his Throne to somebody who is not Submissive to him. And you need a man to name you.

Whether you like it or not; look at Mephibosheth (son of Jonathan and a grandson of King David) – he needed a Ziba (servant to Saul) to name him.

I Pray for you that when it is time to name you; your Ziba will manifest – Amen!

Look at David: he was thirsty and he asked that he needed water from a Specific Well (Well of Bethlehem that is by the gate).

The Bible said in 2 Samuel 23: 15-17; it said that David when he said that; three (3) of his men broke through the camp of the Philistines and drew the water from the Well of Bethlehem and brought it to David. Though he later threw away the water because he said that the men risked their lives.

Why will the the (3) men does such?

That was an epitome of Submission. These three (3) men are named as part of the Mighty Men.

People will envy. – Why? Because they are Submissive – Hallelujah!

I remember when I contested as a Councillor – I had all the Qualities. And when I won, several Promises came saying you will be the Vice Chairman as the Chairman was supposed to pick one among the Councillors.

And it was two (2) hours to the Swearing-In Ceremony. The Caucus of the Chairman sat down and do you know what they say: Are you sure this man will be Submissive to you? Let us change him to that man – two (2) hours to that time, it changed.

You must be prepared to be a Team Player building Synergy.

1 Corinthians 3:6 says: I Planted, Apollos water…

If you want to be in Governance, People of God; you must be ready to work with People.

You cannot be an Island on your own. Be ready to work with People.

No, No, No; they made me angry. You must be ready to work with all manner of People.

The Bible said that imbeciles all gather together and called on David to come and be their King. And from those People, David raised a Mighty Men.

If you are not approachable; your Character is such that you are full of Pride; People of God, nobody will Vote for you, recommend you or push you to come and manage their Commonwealth.

7. Step Out, Step Forward and Take Action.

Any Gift that is nor expressed, cannot Perform the Purpose.

If you have what it takes and know what it is; don’t stay back but Step Out.

Can you tell somebody: Step Out!

Faith without works is what? – Dead!

You can be loadedly Anointed but if you don’t lay hands on the People, if you don’t Pray for People; No sick will be Healed.

And People of God, I want to tell you that it is time to Step Out.

Is there anybody with me?

Whether you Vote or you don’t Vote; there will be a Councillor.

Some People will say we are Praying and Fasting – Very Good, very Perfect.

But People of God; if you finished Fasting; take your PVC (Permanent Voter’s Card) and go out to Vote.

Start from the Locals. Every Politics is Local.

Be involved with who is in Charge in your Community. Be involved with who is in Charge in your Ward. Be involved in your Local Politics and Governance.

Ensure that in all your decisions; you are making the decision in Righteousness. Don’t Stay Back – Hallelujah!

8. Run away from Sin.

In Genesis 39: 7-13; Joseph took off from sin.

In this Politics of Power, if you are not who you are; it is very Tempting.

When I got to the House of Assembly within my first week; the older People who we call the “Ranking Leaders” – they say: Pastor, this Place no easy ooo. You sure say you go survive? I give you one (1) Year, we go talk again.

Because when they go out for Conference, there is something they call “Conference Materials”. And all manner of People – The Speakers will say una no get “Conference Materials” here?

I now told my Assistant to give them the Conference Materials. They began to laugh that this man no know wetin we dey talk. We are talking of something else and he dey talk of another matter.

My “Conference Material” is my wife. And we go anywhere together.

Is somebody in the House?

People of God, I Pray for you that you Take Over.

Run away from sin. They can come from Inducting you until you become a Member of Buccaneers or Vikings.

Forget it, I am here today and standing on this Exalted Altar; I don’t belong to any Cult or Ogboni and God has been helping me. God is the Most Powerful.

But the challenge is that we are not many there.

… Come, let us Take Over in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

9. To raise Successors – Be conscious of Successors.

Daniel raised Successors. He raised Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego.

Because while there are People to talk to you from the Top, there should be People that should talk for you at the bottom.

You must know that Politics is a “Talking Game”. If you are deaf and dumb; forget it – Express Yourself.

While there must be People to talk about you (to recommend you up); there must be People to talk for you (to keep you up).

When you look down and you don’t see; it is like falling lime a Pack of Cards.

10. Stay in His Presence.

In Genesis 39: 1-5; it says that Joseph was taken down to Egypt and Portiphar, an officer of the Guards bought him.

And in Verse 2; the Bible says that: And the Lord was with Joseph and he was Prosperous.

The Israelites move with the Pillar of the Light by the Day and the Pillar of Fire by Night.

Note that it is only where the Spirit of God is that there is Liberty – 2 Corinthians 3:17.

… Stay in His Presence.

Anything that will make you go out of His Presence please don’t fo it.

Don’t forget that it is Prayer. Most of the time, when we Pray and get there; you don’t know that the examination to stay there; the marks you must make to be there; needs more Prayers.

What you get by Prayers and through Prayers you must sustain and retain through Prayers.

Ensure that you are still close to your Priest – Somebody that can tell you: Oga, shut up. This thing no work. Because, Politics is full of Sycophants.

Naaman would have been destroyed if not of that little girl that says that there is a Prophet in Israel.

When they told Naaman this is the right thing to do in River Jordan, he was boastful.

But the Bible said in 2 Kings 5:10; that the Servant came and said: Oga why don’t you try it.

The kind of People that you move around with will determine where you will get to.

It is Time to Take Over!

How many of you are ready to Take Over?

Rise up on your feet now.

You are going to say: My Father, my Father; the Grace to Take Over please release into me now in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

OPENING PRAYER:

Father, we worship You for who You are. We Exalt You for Your Presence in our lives, for Your Presence in this Mission. Father we Worship You! Please, accept our Thanks and Worship in the Name of Jesus.

Lord, we have gathered before You again in another Convention; You have been doing GREAT things in the Past Conventions, we are so confident that You will do GREATER things in this Convention. And so Lord we want to Thank You!

We Thank You for all You have been doing in the Redeemed Christian Church of God; for all You have been doing in the lives of our Youth and Young Adults. Please accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus!

Lord, in this Convention we are asking that You do something Unique – What You have never done before. That You lift Your children into a higher level of Your Glory and Power in the Name of Jesus!

And so Lord, we handover to You every aspect of ALL the activities that we will be partaking in, in this Convention; we ask that You Glorify Yourself; we ask that You manifest Your Glory and Your Power.

And let everyone attending this Convention and those who are watching us online and watching by Television receive Divine Impartation in the Name of Jesus!

Father, we Thank You!

We Pray for all the Ministers and all the Ministrations; we are asking that all those who will stand here to Minister; wherever Your children will be ministered unto in this Convention; that Lord, You will inspire every Speakers, inspire the Choirs, inspire all those participating in the activities.

And let EVERYONE attending this Convention, leave here going home with – something New, something Great, sometime Gracious, something Glorious in the Name of Jesus.

Father we Thank You!

We are waiting on You, we are so assured; we know that You will do Greater things.

Thank You Father; in Jesus’ Name we PRAY – Amen!

While we await the result of what we have just witnessed, to know the Regions that took the 1st, the 2nd and the 3rd Positions.

I want everyone of you to be getting ready for what God will do in your life.

If you are ready for Greater Things in your life shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Alright! So wait for the results: am sure you are already very anxious to know those who won the Competition that we just witnessed.

I know every Regions will say they Performed very well. All of you did VERY WELL.

… So give yourselves a round of applause.

But you know there must be 1st, there must be 2nd and there must be 3rd.

And am told by the Impartial Judges that we have that the Region that comes 3RD is REGION 2.

For example, see how and why they were judged (given) the 3rd Position: Banner – full size; Choir – they tried, but they were not the very best! So give them a round of applause.

But the Number of people that came from Region 2; the Number was smaller than Region 1; but more Coordinated!

And we expect that next Year, they will quadruple the attendance that we have just witnessed.

Outfit – better, and Uniformed appearance; Dancing – Ok. But lack Youthful Flavour!

… You see the Judges? I want you to look at the various items that they use to score them.

Second Position; the Banner – Colourful like their outfit; Choir – nicely dressed, and they had good song choices. Number – a very good turn out; Outfit – colourful and represented; Dancing – Drama (was nice), they had a nice touch, coordinated and decent.

… And the Region in question is REGION 21; Give a round of applause to Region 21!

And then the Region that carried the 1ST Position: Listen, Banner – they had 2 Banners (colourful) expressing the Region and have an expression of the National Emblem.

Choir – best dressed choir! Number – largest contingent by far! Outfit – out of this world, out of this world: Wonderful, Beautiful.
Dancing – invigorating Dance!

… Your guess is as good as mine; as usual – REGION 5!

Please allow them to celebrate; whether you like it or not, allow them to celebrate – Wonderful Region – REGION 5!

… Region 5 you can take your seat now. God bless you; you are wonderful.

Alright, give a round of applause to Region 5!

Now, am giving this challenge to Region 19, Region 11, Region 20, Region 26; that next year we expect them to do far more than Region 5 – God bless you!

Now, before I pray and we round up this Programme, I would like you to open your Bible to 1 CHRONICLES 29:11;

“Thine, O Lord is the Greatness, and the Power, and the Glory, and the Victory, and the Majesty: for all that is in the Heaven and in the Earth is thine; thine is the Kingdom, O Lord, and thou art exalted as head above all.”

The THEME for this Convention is “HIS POWER AND GLORY”.

And you see from this Scripture, that there is a LINK between God’s Power, Glory, Victory, and Majesty!

I just want to assure us, as we pray on this Opening Day that if you open your heart and receive what will be coming from this Altar (of Jesus) during this Convention; there are many things that will be coming from this Altar that will help you in life.

So I want you to always come on time; take your seats. We have done dancing now. But when it is time for the Word please; get your biro, get your IPad, get your Laptop (and whatsoever is your reading and writing material) ready!

And make sure you don’t miss ANY ASPECT of the Programme in the cause of this Convention:

Like you know, our father in the Lord will be coming to Minister to us also. He will be here on Thursday, he will be here on Friday (which is the Grand Finale).

When I looked at the Program; it is so loaded – that I will appeal to you, DON’T MISS any Program. And I can assure you that by the time we finish this Program, you would be singing a New Song;

Your life would have drastically changed!

What you are looking for will be delivered to you.

The Prayer you have been Praying (your request that you have been making), You will receive answers, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

Let us PRAY! I like you to rise you up and let us Pray.

I want you to just open your mouth and pray and talk to God personally, and tell Him:

1. Father, during this Convention, let me fully experience YOUR POWER AND YOUR GLORY.

… pray: Open your mouth and Pray!

In Jesus’ Name, we Pray – Amen!

CLOSING PRAYER:

Father, we want to Thank You for this day, we have already seen the Manifestation of Your Presence!

And so Lord, I Pray that all Your children who danced before You; who rejoiced before You; who are here with a heart if expectations; Lord I ask that You will open the Heavens and let them experience Your POWER and Your GLORY, in the Name of Jesus.

I Pray that no one will leave this Convention without Divine Impartation, in the Name of Jesus!

And I Pray that all that Your children have been looking for; as Your POWER and GLORY is Manifested, that they will go home with Abundance of Blessings in the Name of Jesus!

And their requests will be granted in the Name of Jesus!

And once again we Pray for all the Ministers that you have prepared; Lord Inspire them to deliver Your Counsel; and give us what You have given to them to release to us.

And we Promise that we will give You back the Glory and Honour.

In Jesus’ Name we Pray – Amen!
