OPENING PRAYER

Almighty God, the King of all flesh, the Alpha and the Omega, the Beginning and the Ending – Glory be to Your Holy Name.

Thank You for January, Thank You for February, Thank You for March, Thank You for April, Thank You for May, Thank You for June, Thank You for July, Thank You for August, Thank You for September, Thank You for October and Thank You for November.

Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

Today, we are Presenting to You Your Children who are Waiting for one Miracle or the other:

Your Children who by now should be married and are not yet married.

Your Children who by now should be Fruitful but who are not yet Fruitful.

Your Children who has been expecting one Miracle or the other in this Year of Remarkable Things and thet haven’t seen any Sign yet.

Your Children who has received Specific Prophesies concerning their lives and they are yet Waiting for Fulfilment.

Almighty God, before this Month is over, let the Waiting be over.

All of us who has been Waiting for the Manifestation of Your Power,

All of us who has been Waiting for one Miracle or the other from You – The One who can never fail.

All of us who has been fighting one battle or the other and we are yet to receive Victory.

And yet we know that You are the Lord of Host and we know that You cannot fail.

Please Lord, before this Month is over give us our Testimonies.

You are the Only One who can Silence our Mockers and the Only One who can say that I am here on your side.

When People are beginning to ask where is our God; my Father and my God, Please Show Up.

In Your Own Mighty and Miraculous Way, Father Please Show Up.

Bless Your Children, Show them Lord God Almighty that You are the Unchangeable Changer.

And all Your Children who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings; that Singular Breakthrough that they will say we don’t have enough room to contain; give to us this Month.

Please answer all our Prayers, have Mercy on us and let us serve You till the end.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Well, let Someone shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Greet one (1) or two (2) People and tell them with boldness: “My Waitung is over now”.

And then, you may Please be seated – God Bless You!

This Morning, we are talking about: “From Waiting to Winning”.

We are all Winners in Jesus Mighty Name – Amen!

Genesis 21:1-7:

1. And the LORD visited Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did unto Sarah as he had spoken.
2. For Sarah conceived, and bare Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him.
3. And Abraham called the name of his son that was born unto him, whom Sarah bare to him, Isaac.
4. And Abraham circumcised his son Isaac being eight days old, as God had commanded him.
5. And Abraham was an hundred years old, when his son Isaac was born unto him.
6. And Sarah said, God hath made me to laugh, so that all that hear will laugh with me.
7. And she said, Who would have said unto Abraham, that Sarah should have given children suck? for I have born him a son in his old age.

I have Good News for Someone: “You will Laugh Last” – Amen.

Nobody came in this world by Accident – God doesn’t send Someone to the Earth just to Occupy Space.

If you are born into this world, it is because God has a Purpose for your Life.

In Jeremiah 1: 4-5; God made it clear: Before you are formed in the belly; before your Daddy and Mummy met to Produce you, God said that I knew you.

And while you are still in the Womb, He has already decided what role that you are going to Play on Earth.

And God made one very important Statement in Jeremiah 29:11 – He said that I know the thoughts that I think towards you; thoughts of Good and not of evil, to have an Expected end.

You put that in Mordern Language, God is simply saying that your End will be Good – Amen.

In Ecclesiastes 7:8; the Bible says that: “Better is the End of thing than the beginning thereof”.

In the Name that is above every other name; your End shall be well – Amen.

Now, when God send you into the world, He sent you to fulfill a Purpose.

And the interesting thing is that the Purpose you are sent into the world to fulfill is connected with the Purpose of several other People.

There are several People that you meet Today that you never thought you could meet and one way or the other; your own Purpose is connected to their own.

There are some People that you meet Accidentally as far as you are concerned – People who one way or the other are going to shape your Future.

Teachers that thought you in School – Many of them, born hundreds of Kilometres away from you.

I mean one of my Professors who took me through the Master’s Degree and PhD Degree was an Indian – Born in far away India.

When we met at the University of Nigeria Nsukka and then the Civil War came and we were scattered – He landed at the University of Lagos and I landed at the Obafemi Awolowo University, OAU (It used to be known then as the University of Ife).

I finished my B.Sc at Ile Ife and he was already working in Lagos.

And then, I came for the Commonwealth Scholarship Interview – I wanted to go ahead and Study my Master’s Degrew in one of the Commonwealth Countries on Scholarship.

I came for the Interview at the University of Lagos and the People who were at the Interview Panel Interviewing me had asked all kinds of Questions.

And as you all know that in Mathematics, when they ask a Question, it is either you know the answer or you don’t know it.

If I ask you now: What is two Plus two; you all know that the answer is four.

But if I ask you that: What is the Square Root of two; you will say what? You mean thar two has Root? Whether Square or Round?

So, they asked me Questions and all the Questions they were asking me were very easy things – I know the Answers and I gave the Answers.

And then while the Interview was on, there was a Man who was Sleeping all the time they were asking me Questions – But he was the Chairman of the occasion.

So after they all finished their Questions, they woke him up and said: Sir, have you any Question for this Young Man?

He said Oh Yes – He said: Where is Entebbe?

DMC NOTES: Entebbe, a City in South-Central Uganda on the shores of Lake Victoria. It is known for being a Transportation hub with the Country’s International Airport and a former Capital during the British Protectorate era. The City gained International attention in 1976 for Operation Entebbe, a Successful Israeli rescue of Hostages from a hijacked Airplane.

I mean that the Question came to me as a Shock and so I said: “I am sorry sir, I am not here for Geography”.

So everybody laughed.

I didn’t know that I have made then to Laugh at the Chairman.

And of course you know that if you ridiculed the Chairman at your Interview, then you know that you have, lost the Interview.

But as I was coming out of the Interview Hall, who did I meet? My former Lecturer at the University of Nigeria Nsukka.

He said: Ha Adeboye! I said sir, long time no see and we rejoiced.

What are you doing here? I said that I came for a Commonwealth Scholarship Interview.

What do you want to do with a Commonwealth Scholarship? I want to go Abroad and do my Master’s Degree.

He said that you don’t have to go anywhere; I know your Stuff – Come and do it here.

It looks like an Accidental Meeting but God had Planned it that before I was born – That Somebody who was born in India is going to influence my Life.

And it was because I ended up doing my Master and Doctorate Degrees at the University of Lagos that I came across the Fellow who brought me to Salvation.

That is why I am Stsnding before you Today.

God has a Purpose for your Life and that Purpose is a Good one and that Purpose is connected with the Purpose of other People.

But I want you to know that the whole world is a Stage.

One English Poet said it: Everything that is happening in Life is a Drama – This is the Pure Truth of the matter. One of these days, I will show you from the Bible.

DMC NOTES: The English Poet and Playwright who famously wrote about everything in Life being a Drama is William Shakespeare. The well-known quote comes from a Monologue in his Pastoral Comedy As You Like It, spoken by the Character Jaques in Act II, Scene VII. The lines are:

“All the world’s a Stage,
And all the Men and Women merely Players;
They have their exits and their entrances,
And one man in his time Plays many Parts,
His acts being seven ages.”

This Speech, often referred to as “The Seven Ages of Man,” uses the extended Metaphor of a Theatrical Play to describe the Cyclical and Predictable Nature of Human existence, from infancy to old age and eventual oblivion.

Now, when there is a Play; everybody has the time when he will come in and Play his own Part – You can’t come in until it is your turn.

If you come in when it is not your turn, you will spoil the Play.

That is why the Bible says in Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8 – It says that God has a Timetable for everything.

So if you think that God is Sleeping because you have been crying to Him for one thing or the other and He hasn’t done it yet; He is not Sleeping but Waiting for the appropriate Time to bring you into the Play so that the Play which He wrote before the world will not be spoilt.

So what you call Delay is what God called Part of the Play.

I want to assure you that the Parents of John the Baptist, if you read John 1: 1-25; they were very Holy People without Blemish. The father was a High Priest and yet the mother was barren.

Why? Because it is in the Play that God wrote that John the Baptist was to be born only six (6) Months before Jesus Christ comes.

So six (6) Months before Jesus Christ was to come into the world, an Angel now went to Zechariah and said: Alright now Old Man, you are now going to have a son.

You can’t blame Zechariah – He said: What are you talking about? You said you are a Servant of God? I have been serving this God all these Years, now I am Old, I can hardly function like a Man and you are now telling me that I will have a son?

That was why he said: Show me a Sign.

And the Angel said: You are asking God that you want a Sign? Alright, you won’t be able to speak until the Child is born.

I have Good News for Somebody: God will remember you Today – Amen.

So if you are Waiting – You are Waiting for a husband or you are Waiting for a wife; God has Somebody for you and He will bring that Fellow at the appropriate Time.

If you try to jump ahead of Him, you will get the wrong Fellow.

You know the Story of Jacob and Rachel – Jacob and Laban, the father-in-law had a Meeting and Laban asked Jacob what he will want to be Paid for serving him.

Jacob had fallen in Love with Rachel because Rachel was beautiful.

He said thatI will work for you for seven (7) Years without Pay. But after the seven (7) Years, you must give me Rachel.

I am sure that when we get to Heaven and see Rachel, we will know the reason why a Man will say that I will work without Pay for seven (7) Years to just marry Somebody – That Woman must have been really been a Beautiful Woman.

Seven (7) Years Passed, Jacob went to Laban – Where is my wife?

And Laban was the original 419 Man (DMC NOTES: “419” means a Fraudster) – In the Night, he switched and brought Leah. Leah wasn’t that beautiful by any Standard.

Jacob was so much in Love that he didn’t even bothered to check the face of the Lady as he was so happy.

By the following Morning; hey who have I married?

But he waited another seven (7) Years before he finally got the wife God meant for him.

But do you know that it was through Rachel – The one he waited for, for fourteen (14) Years that Joseph was born?

☆ The Man who was to become a Prime Minister of Egypt.

☆ The Man who was to become the Saviour of the world at that time when the Famine came.

Wait for God as God is not Foolish – He knows better than you.

And not only that – He also knows the Future.

So, why do we have to wait occasionally like some of us who are here Today have been doing?

1. Because God is Sovereign.

Psalm 115:3 says that: Our God is in Heavens and He does as He Pleases.

You cannot query God – It Please Him to make you a Girl or else you could have been a Boy. And vice versa.

And as they say: The White Man who made Pencil is also the one who made Eraser.

If something is written in Pencil and God decides that He wants to erase it; you can’t even query Him.

I tell you the Truth – That is one of the reasons I am Personally flying because He can do and undo.

When He has done something and occasionally He does certain things that I find it hard to understand.

What do I do then? I Surrender, afterall He is the Almighty God.

2. But then He delays occasionally to show you that He who Laughs Last Laugh Best.

And without any doubt, Someone listening to me right now or you are reading now on the Label of DMC; you are going to Laugh Last – Amen.

Twenty five (25) Years before Abraham had a son called Isaac; God had told him that I will bless you, I will make you Great, I will bless those that blesses you and the whole world is going to be blessed through you.

Abraham didn’t ask Gid for anything – He was just minding his own business but then God came to him and said that this is what I will do.

And then this Man waited and waited and waited.

On several occasions, God will call him at Night and said: Abraham, come out. Look Up, can you count the number of Stars?

No Lord! And He will say so shall your Children be.

On one occasion, he had to say: God, what kind of joke is this? How am I going to be the father of many Nations when I can’t even Produce one Child?

And God said: Abraham, I am the Almighty God and I will show you that there is Nothing too hard for me.

In the Name that is above every other names, your own will not be too hard for God – Amen.

On another occasion when God had finished speaking to Abraham; he Laughed so much that he fell on the Ground saying what kind of joke is this?

You know the rest of the Story – When God was ready, He was the One who came to meet Abraham at home.

Abraham invited Him to come and eat and He agreed.

He did what He has never done before as He was the One who had said earlier that if I am hungry, am I going to eat your Goat or Lamb? What food are you going to Prepare for me?

But when He was ready, Abraham said: Come and Eat and He said that I will come,

And then when He finished eating the food, He Changed Prophesies to Decrees – All that He has been saying that sooner or later; He now said: “No more Delay”.

Because you are in Church this Morning or reading now on the Label of DMC: No more Delay – Amen!

If it is true that: Yes, God has a Purpose for my Life, He knows who I will marry before I was born, He knows that I will be Fruitful and even give birth to one of the Greatest Evangelist in the world.

Because when eventually John the Baptist was born, Jesus Christ said that there is Nobody Greater than this Man in the Old Testament.

Sir, is there anything that I can do so that my Waitung can come to an End Today?

1. Well according to Psalm 102:13; the Bible says that: Thou will arise and have Mercy on Zion.

Why? Because the Time to Favour her, yet the Set Time has come.

That tells you that God has a Set Time.

But then in Daniel 2: 20-21; the Bible tells us that He Controls Time and Season.

He Changes Time and Season – What He says will happen in ten (10) Years time, He has the Ability to make it happen in ten (10) Minutes.

He has the Ability to Change “Not Yet” to Now”.

In John 2: 1-12; yiu remember the Wedding at Cana of Galilee?

When they lacked Wine and the mother of Jesus Christ came to Him and said: My Son, this People has run out of Wine.

He said to His mother: Mama, I know that you know that your Son wasn’t an Ordinary Son but my Time has not yet come.

The Time that was in the Play when I will begin to Perform Miracles; that Time hasn’t come yet.

But the mother looked at those People Standding by and said: Don’t Pay attention to what He had just said; whatever He ask you to do, do it.

And you know the rest of the Story – And when Jesus Christ saw that Mama had Practically tied his hands: I am your mother, all this issue about my Time has not come et cetera et cetera; I don’t buy it – Mama is Mama.

Jesus Christ Changed His Mind – From my Time hasn’t come in less than one hour, to the Time has come.

In the Name that is above every other name: Before you go to bed Tonight, your Time will come – Amen!

But you see something in the Story there – The mother said that whatever He asked you to do, do it.

Make up your Mind that from now on: I will serve God.

Whatever may be happening, I know that if I can just obey Him in everything, He will surely Change “Not Yet” to Now.

And then another case in Matthew 15: 21-28 – A Woman came to Jesus Christ and began to cry to Him. She said that: Lord, I need Help as my daughter is grievously vexed of the devil.

The Bible says that Jesus Christ didn’t answer her a word but she kept on crying.

The People who could have helped her – The so called Pastors, told the Lord Jesus Christ to drive her away as her Noise is disturbing them.

Jesus Christ said that I am not set but unto the Lost Sheep of the House of Israel – I am not sent to this Unbeliever.

And this Woman kept on crying saying that you have to help me.

She said that I can’t give the Bread of the Children to dogs.

In other words, the Time for the Gentiles is “Not Yet” – It is to come Years later in the House of Cornelius.

And God said to her: I can’t give the Bread of Children to dogs – You are a dog for now.

The Woman said: Dog or no dog, I am not going o because I have come to the Last Bus Stop and I have no where else to go and so you have to help me.

I am not asking for the Bread of the Children but just give me a Crumb.

She got her Crumb and she got her Miracle.

If you will learn to hold on to God and say: God, I am not going anywhere because I have come to the Last Bus Stop.

If you don’t come to Jesus Christ, where else can you go? Who else is going to help you?

I will tell you a Story – You have heard it before.

One of my Pastors got married and for twenty six (26) Years, they were Waiting for the Fruit of the Womb.

The Pastor is a Pastor in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – And with all Humility, a Church where God answer Prayers. So where else can he go?

He waited for twenty six (26) Years and then a day came – I think the Holy Ghost Congresa was on and God spoke that there is Someone here Today, your Waiting is over.

As he was shouting Amen where he was sitting on the Altar, the wife was shouting Amen where she was sitting in the Auditorium.

By the time the two of them met, they knew that God has Spoken.

Less than one Year after, they had their first Child.

And some People who heard said maybe she Adopted a Child after twenty six (26) Years?

God waited to show the world that when He speaks, it is done.

When she was going to have the second baby; God made sure that the baby came few days Premature so that she was in the Hospital and everybody came to greet her there and they saw that this baby had come from this Womb.

In the Name that is above every other names: I say it one more time that your Waiting is over – Amen!

Just make up your Mind that you will serve Him, you will obey Him irrespective of what your Present situation is and then hold on to Him in Prayers.

Tell Him that I am your Child – I am not even asking for a Crumb but I am asking for the whole full big Loaf of Bread and so you must answer me and answer me now.

So, that is why if you are not a Child of God; you can’t claim the Bread – You must run to the Almighty God for Salvation.

If He saves your Soul, then you don’t even have to ask for a Crumb as you too can take Part in the whole Loaf of Bread.

And the Time to Favour you can be now!

ALTAR CALL

So, if you are listening to me and you are Waiting for one Miracle or the other and you know that you are not a Child of God; I beg you so as not to make God look like a Liar; come and Surrender your Life to Him.

The moment that you become one of His Own, I can assure you just like the Bible says: If any Man be in Christ, He is a New Creature; Old Things has Passed away, behold all Things has become New (DMC NOTES: 2 Corinthians 5:17).

All Things can become New for you Today if you will come and Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ.

So, I am going to count from one (1) to seven (7) – If you want to Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ, come now!

If you are Backsliden and you are no longer doing what He says that you should be doing – You are no longer Winning Souls; and you are no longer doing all the Commandments of the Lord; come back to the Almighty God.

He will save your Soul, He will restore you and then your Time will come now.

So I am counting now!

Those of us infront, let us talk to the Lord:

Lord, have Mercy on me, save my Soul as I want to be one of Your Children, Please forgive all my sins Today and I will Serve You for the rest of my Life.

I will obey You – I want You not to be just my Saviour but I want You to be my Lord and I will do whatever You want me to do from now on.

Go ahead and talk to the Lord.

And the rest of us, let us Stretch our hands towards our New Brothers and Sisters and Intercede for them:

Pray that the One who saved our Souls will save their own Souls also.

Talk to the Lord for them.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, I want to bless Your Holy Name.

I want to give You Glory and Honour for Your Words and I want to Thank You especially for these Your Children who has come forward now.

Please receive them in Jesus Name, have Mercy on them, save their Souls, and let them become Children of God.

And from now on, anytime they cry unto You, answer them by Fire.

And let them serve You forever,

My Father and my God, I am also Praying for everyone of us here Today or reading now on the Label of DMC:

In a moment I am going to be asking Your People to Pray – Whatever is it that we have been Waitung for and whatever Miracles that we have been expecting; Please give to us Today.

When Your Children begin to cry out to You and tell you what they want – Whether Physically, Materially or Spiritually; Please Lord God Almighty, grant our Requests Today.

Change our Waiting to Winning.

Put a New Song into our mouths,

Help us to Laugh Last.

And in Your Kingdom, don’t let anyone of us be missing.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

How many of you believe that God will answer your Prayers Today?

Stand on your feet and shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.

You will open your mouth and cry to God – You are the one who can tell what you are Waiting for.

And say: Father this Particular Miracle that I have been Waitung for; give it to me Today!

Go ahead and talk to the Almighty God!!!

GENERAL PRAYERS

1. The Almighty God has kept you till the Month of October.

If you believe that He will see you through to the end of the Year; lift up your Hands to Him and Praise Him – Give Him all the Glory, Praise the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

Thank Him for what He has done for you thus far – From January till October, He has been the One keeping you, Protecting you and Providing for you.

He is Worthy to be Praised, to be Honoured, to be Adored and to be Magnified.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Worshipped – Amen.

2. And then one more time, Thank God for Nigeria – God indeed had been very Good to this Nation.

Yes, we have many Problems but then we have survived thus far,

And the One who has caused us to survive thus far, He will help us till the End.

Let’s Praise God for Nigeria – Give Him Glory, give Him Him Honour and give Him Adoration.

Thank You Lord.

We Thank You for Nigeria – Thank You for all You have done for us in the Past sixty five (65) Years.

We give You all the Glory and Honour.

And we Thank You Lord God Almighty for all Your Children who are involved with the Governance of this Nation; Father we are saying: Receive our Thanks in Jesus Name.

Father, we are Thanking You Specially for all those who are involved with the Governance in Lagos State Nigeria.

We Thank You especially for those of them who are with us Today – Our Governor, his wife and all these Great People in Charge of Governance in Lagos State.

My Father and my God, Specially visit them Today, bless them Today, Support them Today, defend them Today and let it be well with them.

All those who are involved with Governance in any form from the Lowest to the Highest; Father let it be well with them.

And all Your Children who are here and all those who are connecting to this Service all over the world Inclusive those reading now on the Label of DMC – In a very, very Special Way, let the Month of October be very Successful for them.

This is the Month of “Double Grace” – With everyone of us, we ask that it will be Doubly Gracious.

Give us Peace, give us Joy, give us Abundance, Silence the Enemies and Glorify Your Name.

This Month in Particular, Please be Wonderful to us.

And all Your Children who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings; this Month embarrass them with Your Blessings.

King of Kings, Prove Yourself in our lives.

At the end of everything Lord, I Pray that Your Name will be Glorified.

But everyone of us will go home Today with at least one Miracle or the other.

By the End of this Month my Father and my God, let all of us have Mighty Testimonies to Share.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Well, let Someone shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.

Shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and tell them: “It is going to be well with me you know?”

And then, you may Please be seated – God Bless You!

You know: By the Grace of God, I have travelled Practically throughout the whole world – From where the Sun rises to where the Sun Sets.

And I can say this with all Boldness – There is hardly no Nation on Earth like Nigeria.

Oh yes, we have our Problems but you know that we hold the World Records as the Happiest People on Earth.

Somehow, no matter how difficult the situation; we know how to Laugh.

One day, myself and some of my Children we were in a Shop in Britain and then we were discussing – And then of course, we were Laughing.

One White Lady came to me and she said: Your Laughter makes me Laugh.

I smiled and I said: You don’t know anything – We Laugh everytime no matter the situation.

The day that you will no longer be able to Laugh will never come into your Life – Amen.

So those of you who are listening to me all over the world; help me Thank God for Nigeria – We are Wonderful!

I have been asked to speak this Morning on the Theme: “THE KING OF KINGS”.

Revelation 19:11-16:

11. And I saw Heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in Righteousness he doth judge and make war.
12. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself.
13. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God.
14. And the Armies which were in Heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean.
15. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the Nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God.
16. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.

In every Kingdom, there is a King.

When we talk about Kingdom, it is a combination of two (2) words – King and Domain.

King rules by Decrees.

Ecclesiastes 8:4 tells us that where the word of the King is, there is Power.

But then, Kings are in degrees.

Like Today, when you want to talk in Mordern Terms, we have in every Councils we have Counsellors. Then we have in every Local Council Chairman, then we have Governors and then we move on to President.

Definitely, no matter how Powerful a Local Council Chairman is, he is no where near the President.

The Chairman of the Local Council in Ifewara Osun State can make a Pronouncement that will be binding on the People in Ifewara.

He cannot sit down in Ifewara and begin to dictate to those of us in Lagos State.

… So we find out that Kings are in degrees.

And then the Bible now says that there is one Person who is the King of all Kings – You gathered all the Kings together, they too have a King.

And He is called “The King of Kings”.

The Bible calls Him “The Most High”; the One who is also “The Almighty” – Psalm 91:1.

And then it tells us in Ecclesiastes 5:8 – It said then when you see a High Person misbehaving, don’t worry yourself as there is Somebody higher than him and then there is still Somebody higher than that Fellow.

In other words, it calls Him: The Most High, Higher than the highest.

So, we want to talk for few Minutes on this Person called “The Most High”, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords.

1. In the Kingdom of Animals, the Lion is the King.

But there is Someone who Controls the Lion – The One who is called “The King of Kings”.

When you read Daniel 6: 17-22; He told the Lions when they saw Daniel being dropped to their Den – Lions, don’t touch this Fellow.

And I am sure that the Lion must have said to God: You are the One who created us to eat meat.

That is true but this one, you can’t touch him.

Why? Because he is also a Lion – He is the son of the Lion of Judah.

May I decree to You Today: Wherever you go, no Lion will be able to touch you – Amen.

But then, when you read 1 Kings 13: 1-26; there was Somebody who disobeyed God and God wanted to use him as an Example.

And so, He sent a Lion to kill him but not to eat him – Just kill him and stand by him by the Roadside so that People will learn that when God gives you an Assignment, you must do the Assignment absolutely as God said.

So, He demonstrated that He is the King of Lions by telling a Lion that you can kill this one but you must not eat it.

And then when you now read Daniel 6:24; the Bible tells us that when they had Pulled out Daniel out of the Den of Lions. God now said that these Lions I kept them hungry throughout Last Night, let’s feed them now.

Then He ask that the King will Command – And they brought all the People who conspired against Daniel.

They said this time when they are coming, they should come with their wives and children.

Then all of you, go and pay a visit to the Den of Lion.

The King said that something must have happened to my Den of Lions – Now, go and find out for me.

The Lions saw those ones coming and said: God, are these also Children of the Lion of Judah? God said No.

They said: Can we eat now? God said: Enjoy!

I decree in the Name that is above every other name: Anybody who tries to put you into the Den of Lions will replace you there – Amen!

2. In the Kingdom of Fish, the Whale is the King.

But when you read the Book of Jonah Chapter 1 – To Prove that the King of Kings can show that He Controls the King in the Kingdom of Fish; He told a big Fish to swallow Jonah.

And told the Fish that you are just to swallow him o but not to eat him.

Don’t digest him at all as I just want to teach him a Lesson that when I give Commands, the Commandments must be obeyed.

And I have a Purpose for a Man’s Life – It doesn’t matter what is happening; that Purpose must be fulfilled,

So the Whale swallowed Jonah and after three (3) days and after Jonah had come to his senses, he said: Lord, have Mercy on me and I won’t disobey again.

He spoke to the same fish: I want you to vomit this Man now but he can’t swim and so don’t vomit him in the Ocean but take him to the Beach.

When you get to the Beach, you can now vomit him – You see because I still have a Purpose for his Life.

For all of you who have Honoured God by being in His Presence Today or reading now on the Label of DMC; that Purpose of God for your Life shall be fulfilled – Amen.

You see, when you are dealing with the King of Kings; He has a way of Preparing People in Advance who as reluctant as they may be; will still be used to bring you to where God wants you to be.

Why? Because He is the King of Kings.

I remembered years ago when we wanted to establish the first Parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Israel and I went to our Ambassador there – And I told him: Sir, we want to Register The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Israel; he Laughed.

I said: Sir, why are you Laughing?

He said that everybody knows that the Best friend of Israel is America – I said Yes sir.

He said that they have told the Americans – Here in Israel o, you want to start Churches here, there is room for Roman Catholic, there is room for Anglican and there is room for Baptist.

But don’t bring anything called Pentecostal here.

He said that if they say No to America, and now you are coming from Africa to start a Church? And the Church is none of those ones they said that they can tolerate? He Laughed.

In the Name that is above all names: Your own will be different – Amen.

Finally, being a Diplomatic Person, he said that if you are not going to listen to the Truth; what do you want me to do?

I said: Simple! I just want you to help me take the Application Letter for Registration to them. You are an Ambassador and so you can walk in and enter where I cannot enter.

Is that all? I said Yes. He said no Problem.

So he took the Letter – Six (6) Months later, we were Registered.

In the Name of the One who is called “The King of Kings”; every door that has been shut against you; shall be opened – Amen

3. In the Kingdom of Birds, the Eagle is the King.

But there is Someone that is the King of Kings – He Controls even the Eagles.

In Exodus 19:3; He said: I carried you out of Egypt on Eagle’s Wing.

In Isaiah 40: 28-31; He was talking about what happened to those who wait upon the Lord.

He said that He will cause them to mount with Wings as Eagle’s.

What He was saying there is this – If you are one of mine, I can cause you to reach a Height that is Humanly Impossible.

There are some of you here Today or reading now on the Label of DMC, Particularly those of you who are Politicians – The Position that you can never think that you can ever reach; in the Name of the One called “The King of Kings”, you will reach that Height – Amen.

Oh there might be Mountains on the way; there might be Obstacles on the way and there might People who will look at you and say: Everybody is talking of getting to High Position and you are talking.

I have Good News for you: Those who says so will come back and say that your God is Great – Amen.

I remember years ago when we are about to start The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in Kenya – By the time that I got there, I was staying with one Brother. And I was talking to him about the Possibility of us getting a Land to build a Church.

And he said: Land? And I said Yes.

He said: Where? I said in the Town now. He Laughed.

He said: No 1, there isn’t such Land anywhere and No 2, there is a Law – You want to start a New Church in Kenya? You have to get the Permission of this and this.

I said: Thank You sir.

Then I said that is it Possible for me to see the President?

Ha, Ha; look at this Fellow? A New Fellow from Nigeria and the first thing that he is asking for is that he wants to see the President.

I Prophesy into the Life of Somebody here Today and those reading now on the Label of DMC: Where they say that there is no way; my God will make a way for you – Amen.

To cut the Long Story short, I got to book an Appointment with the President.

It was on a Monday – The President was supposed to have a Council Meeting and all the Ministers were already there.

And they say: 15 Minutes Maximum – I said that us enough.

And then I met the President and we started discussing one (1) or two (2) things.

And after about 30 Minutes, the President ask me: Will you like a cup of tea? I said that I won’t mind sir. So he ordered for the tea.

To cut the Long Story short, two (2) Hours Passed and we were still talking.

By the time that I was leaving that Plsce, he had already told his Minister – Anywhere there is any vacant Land, get one for this Brother.

I believed that God is speaking to Someone here Today or reading now on the Label of DMC!

Let me round up:

All that I have come to tell you Today is that: If you belong to The King of Kings, He will make you a King.

Because the Bible says so in Revelation 1: 4-6 – He makes us Priests and Kings to the Most High God.

You see: When He says that “I am the King of Kings”; that also means that I rule over those who are Kings.

So, if you come under his Rulership, you automatically becomes a King.

It doesn’t matter how Little you are; and it doesn’t matter your Beginning; the moment you Surrender to the King of Kings, then you are on your way to becoming a King.

I don’t want to tell you many Stories but at least many of you know my Beginning

You have heard how Low I was at the Beginning.

I have told you that my father was so Poor that Poor People called him Poor.

I have told you that some years ago when I was going to my Village in an Helicopter because there is something urgent that I needed to attend to.

The Pilots could not find my Village on the Map of Nigeria – That will tell you how Little we were.

I had to say: Alright, when they say that we can’t locate where you asked us to go – I say that can you locate Ile Ife? They said Yes

Get to Ile Ife and I will direct the Pilot.

Today, they can’t say that they don’t know my Place.

Today, when you get out of here; go and Google and ask them to show you Mount Carmel.

They will ask you – Which one? There is one Mount Carmel in Israel and there is another one Ifewara. So which one do you want?

I come here Today to decree to Someone: Before you leave this world, the world will hear about you – Amen!

But if you are going to become a King, then:

☆ You have to Surrender to the King of Kings.

☆ You have to come under His Authority.

☆ You have to be ready to obey Him in everything.

And that’s all He is asking you for.

That is why He said in Matthew 11: 28-30 – He said: Come unto me all ye that Labour and are heavy Ladened and I will give you rest.

But He says that if you are coming to me, you must be willing to take my Yokea upon you and learn of me.

Then He said: You will enjoy being under me.

But your Surrender must be Total and Complete.

If you think that you are already Big and don’t need to Surrender to Jesus Christ; No Problems. He will leave you where you are and one day you will discovered that Failure to Surrender to Jesus Christ is cheating yourself.

I have said this before – My Greatest Ambition in Life was to be the Youngest Vice Chancellor of a University in Africa.

Oh, if I could just become that, I will say that my Life had been meaningful.

So, when some People began to say that Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ; I just laughed at them because I was already on my way to fulfilling my desire in Life – I was already a Lecturer at the University of Lagos and doing very fine.

Then I gave my Life to Jesus Christ.

And Today, only God can count the number of Universities with their Vice Chancellors calling me father.

You think that you are Great? You don’t know the meaning of Greatness until you Surrender to The King of Kings.

He can Pick you up from wherever you are!

And when God is the One Promoting you, there is no Limit to your Promotion!

If it is Human Beings Promoting you, sooner or later those who are hailing you singing Hosanna Today will be the same People who will say Crucify him tomorrow.

That is the way of Human Beings – If Human Beings are the People lifting you up; very soon, their hands will be heavy and then they begin to bring you down.

Don’t you know those of you who are already in Big Positions how you used to enjoy yourself when you are not known?

Now everything you do, they scrutinised it and there are many People who will be doing their best to Pull you down.

Why? Because everybody wants to be Number One.

So if you are there, they want to do something that will Pull you down so that they can take your Position

But God is not threatened by your Greatness – He enjoys it.

Surrender to Him and let Him Pick you up and begin to lift you Higher.

And when God is lifting you Up – Because His Hands are Everlasting, He will just keep on lifting you up Eternally.

ALTAR CALL

So, I appeal with those of you who are here Today and those reading now on the Label of DMC: And you have not yet Surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ? Come and do so now!

It is your Life – It doesn’t matter what anybody may think: If I decide to give my Life to the King of Kings, what is your Business?

So come now!

I am going to count from one (1) to seven (7) – Come and Stand before the Altar and declare Jesus Christ boldly.

And He will save your Soul and a New Beginning in your Life will start Today.

So, I am counting now!

Those of you on the way and those of you infront, let us talk to God and say:

Father, King of Kings; I have come to Surrender my Life to You. Please take over – Save my Soul, forgive my sins and I will serve You for the rest of my Life.

Go ahead and call on Him.

And the rest of us, let us Stretch our hands towards these People and Intercede for them.

Pray that God will save their Souls, Pray that His Blood will wash away their sins and Pray that they will become True Children of the Almighty God.

Thank You Father!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, we just want to say Thank You.

Thank You for Your Words and Thank You for these People who has come forward to Surrender their lives to You.

Father, Please receive them, Forgive them, let Your Blood wash away their sins, write their names in the Book of Life, receive them into the Family of God and let them become Kings.

From now on, anytime they cry out to You; answer them by Fire.

And I Pray that in Your Kingdom, None of them will be missing.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen,

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Now, I believed that Somebody is already thinking that Today must be my Day?

If you are that Fellow, Stand on your Feet and shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

You are going to cry to God now and say: Father, King of Kings; just take over my Life and take me to whatever Heights that You want!

Call on Him and let Him hear you!!!

Let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Somebody says that the moment you begin to hear “BER” at the end of the name of a Month – September, October, November, December; then you should know that the end of the Year has come.

The God that has kept you so far to see the Month of September; that same God will see you through the Year.

1. So, let us go ahead and bless His Holy ‐ Let’s give Him Glory, Honour and Adoration.

Say Thank You Lord for letting me see the Month of September because I know that if You can bring me to the Month of September, You will see me through this Year.

Thank Him for His Faithfulness, Thank Him for His Support, Thank Him for His Protection, Thank Him for His Love and Thank Him of course for His Mercy.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

2. Then you are going to talk to the Almighty God and say: Father, You made me certain Promises at the beginning of this Year and the Year is Ending, Please fulfill Your Promises.

Go ahead and talk to Him.

There are certain things that you told me this Year – You said that this Year will be Remarkable for me and the Year is Ending, Please fulfill Your Promises now.

All Your Promises for me Father, bring them to Past now.

3. Today, we want to Pray especially for all the People in the Legal Profession – The Bar and the Bench.

Let’s cry to the Almighty God for them and say: Father, give these People Wisdom, Understanding, Fear of God and Divine Mercy .

All Lawyers, Judges, People in the Legal Profession, the Bar and the Bench – Help them, Protect them and give them Divine Mercy.

OPENING PRAYER

Our Father and our God, we want to bless Your Holy Name.

We want to Thank You for January, we want to Thank You for February, we want to Thank You for March, we want to Thank You for April, we want to Thank You for May, we want to Thank You for June, we want to Thank You for July, we want to Thank You for August and Lord, we want to Thank You for September.

Please, accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

Our Father and our God, Today we are Praying especially for Your Children in the Legal Profession:

Please Lord: Help them, give them Wisdom, give them Understanding, Support them, be Merciful unto them, and take care of their families.

And wherever they go, let Your Presence go with them and keep evil far away from them.

My Lord and my Saviour, I commit all Your Children Particularly those who has been Faithful in the Giving of their Offerings and their Tithes; just like You Promised, overwhelm them with Your Blessings.

The kind of Blessings that they will say that this is too much; Father make available to them.

Lord, I commit everyone of us all over the world into Your Hands:

You have brought us safely to September, Please help us till the very end of the Year.

And let our Tomorrow be alright.

Every Prayers that Your Children will Pray Today, answer them by Fire.

Please shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and say: Good Morning, God will have Mercy on you!

And then, you may Please be seated.

You must Pray for me today because when you have a Pastor Standing before all these “Learned People”; you should know that the Pastor needs Prayers.

Because as I have always said that even if you have a PhD in Mathematics but you are not a Lawyer; you are an illiterate – Only Lawyers are “Learned People”,

When you consider the fact that God says that He choose only foolish People to be Pastors, then you will fully understand.

Today, we have been asked to speak on “Divine Mercy”.

Our Bible Text will be: Matthew 5:7.

It says: “Blessed are the Merciful, for they shall obtain Mercy”.

Why do we want to talk about Divine Mercy this Morning?

Because according to James 2:13; the Bible says: “Mercy Triumph over Judgement”.

We are talking to People who are constantly dealing with the Issues of Justice.

Justice according to Someone is when you get what you deserved.

Mercy on the other hand, is when you get something you don’t deserve,

Why do we focus on Divine Mercy?

When we say “Divine Mercy”; there are two (2) words here:

I. Divine – Talking about God.

II. Mercy – Mercy is what you get that you don’t really deserve.

Whenever we are talking of Divine Mercy; it means: “Of God”.

Anything you say about God is in the Superlative!

I. Psalms 91:1 calls Him – The Most High, the Almighty.

II. Ecclesiastes 5:8 calls Him – The One who is Higher than the highest.

III. Genesis 17:1 calls Him – The All-Sufficient One.

IV. Exodus 3:14 calls Him – The I AM That I Am, The One who never Changes.

But whenever you go through the Scriptures and you want to hear God talk about Himself or talk about His Wealth; you will find out that it is only in one Place that He talks about His Riches,

And He says that: I am rich in Mercy – Ephesians 2:4.

He didn’t say that “I am rich in Power” – Even though He is the Almighty.

He didn’t say “I am rich in Love” – Even though He Himself is Love.

But He says that “I am rich in Mercy”.

The Power of the Mercy of God is difficult to describe:

1. But in Lamentations 3: 22-23; the Bible says that: It is of the Mercy of God that we are not Consumed.

In other words, the fact that we are still alive Today is simply because of the Mercy of God!

When you consider various ways in which a Fellow could die, you will know that you are alive Today not because you are Clever!

I. I mean that I know a Chief somewhere in Ondo State Nigeria – Healthy, Wealthy, Popular and Intelligent; who sat down to eat Pounded Yam in his own house.

And just while eating, Somebody did something near him that got him depressed and the food choke him.

And before he got to the Hospital, he was Dead.

… So, one could die eating.

II. And one could also die because they Slept and never woke up again.

The Doctors will have one name or the other to give it as the cause of the Death.

But the fact that we are still alive here Today is because of the Mercy of God!

III. When earlier this Year that a Tanker lost Control over the Bridge near Otedola Estate in Lagos State Nigeria and jumped into the Estate,

It burnt down the first House, jumped the second Building and then landed on the third Building and burnt it down Completely.

And the Building that was left untouched happened to be a Parish of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

You will know that there is no Human Explanation for that – Just the Mercy of God!

IV. That your Driver knows how to drive and that he was driving correctly on his own side of the road; does not mean that you will reach home safely.

Because Somebody else cam come even from the other side and crash into your Vehicle.

The fact that you are the one on the right side of the road doesn’t stop Death from killing you.

It says that: “It is of the Mercy of God that we are not Consumed”.

If Somebody is Grateful that God kept you alive despite everything; let that Fellow shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

2. And then He went on to say in Romans 9: 15-21 – It says in Summary that: “It is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth; but of God that showeth Mercy”.

In other words apart from the fact that He has kept you alive; you are what you are Today by the Mercy of God!

Oh, you don’t understand – I was very Brilliant and I Studied very hard.

I. I had known an occasion in my University Days – And with all Humility, I was Good in Mathematics.

I mean just by the Mercy of God; many of my Colleagues – They will come to me to say: Explain this to us.

And I got to the Examination Hall – And in those days, I don’t know of now; they will give you eight (8) Questions to answer five (5) Questions.

I got there, read the first one – What is this? I can’t understand this one.

I read the second – Blank.

Read the third and fourth – Blank.

By now, I was sweating.

I went through all the eight (8) Questions, I couldn’t even recognise any of them.

This is a Subject that I teach my Classmates – I just Blank out.

I was about to get up and leave – Afterall I can’t see anything here. It simply means that I will come back and resit.

But even then as at the time that I didn’t even know God, there was a certain hand that kept me seated.

I sat down 15 Minutes after everybody was writing by my right and left – I mean that the Teacher of Colleagues just sat down there.

And then, I looked at the Questions again:

I read the first one – Ha, this is Theory so, so, so.

I read the second one – Ha, this is Somebody’s Equation.

In the little time left; I answered all the eight (8) Questions.

And I wrote at the Top as Someone who was a bit Rascally in those days: Mark any five (5).

II. I have always told you the Story of when I was at Elisha Grammar School in the 1950’s.

There was a Madman infront of the Gate of the Grannar School.

Anytime that we really want to enjoy Good History, we will go – Buy him a keg of Palm Wine.

And then he will say: Okay, which History do you want?

British or European? From what Year to what Year?

And he will begin to teach us what our Teachers could not teach us.

You know what? He was a Professor of History and then something went wrong Upstairs.

He could tell you all the History that you want to know but he couldn’t even remember his own name.

If you are Grateful to God that He has made you who you are; will you Please shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

3. From Mark 10: 46-52; we discovered that a cry of Mercy to Him can stop Him in His Tracks.

The Almighty God is Passing by and a Blind Man/Beggar cried for Mercy.

The Bible says that Jesus Christ Stood Still.

And when you fully understand the meaning of that – Because the Bible says: It is around Jesus Christ that the whole Universe revolves.

When Jesus Christ Stands Still, it means that the Sun Stands Still and the Moon Stands Still – Meaning Nothing is moving when He (Jesus Christ) is not moving.

That God stops the Heaven and the Earth for a Beggar who asked for Mercy tells us one thing – If you have been Praying for something for Years and you haven’t receive an Answer yet; Today Change your Prayers and ask Him for Mercy!

Oh, there are several Examples in the Scriptures where you will find out that Jesus Christ Himself will break His Own Rules just to attend to Somebody who asks for Mercy!

I. I mean that there was a case of a Leper who came to Him and ask for Mercy – DMC NOTES: Matthew 8: 1-3.

And the One who said that you must not be touch a Leper – It is written that if you touch a Leper, you will become Unclean; broke His Own Rule and touched him (DMC NOTES: Leviticus 5:3, Leviticus Chapter 13).

I want to Pray for Someone here Today, including those reading now on the Label of DMC: As you cry for Mercy this Day, God will touch you – Amen!

And now while the Mercy of God is Everlasting according to Psalm 103:17 – Its Mercy is Unlimited from Everlasting to Everlasting.

But that Mercy is not without Condition – He insist that: “Blessed are the Merciful, for they shall obtain Mercy”.

Do you know the meaning of that?

Trouble for the Unmerciful because that Fellow is not going to obtain Mercy.

He said in Proverbs 28:13 – He said that if you conceal your sin, you won’t Prosper.

He said that but if you confess it and forsake it, then you will obtain Mercy.

When God chooses to withdraw His Mercy, the result is not always Pleasant!

Proverbs 29:1 says: There is Someone that is often reproved (Corrected) and he refuses ti yield (Hardened his Heart).

The Almighty God said that the Fellow will be destroyed without Remedy.

I will give you just one illustration from the Scriptures:

There is the Story of two (2) Brothers: One Younger and the other the Elder – You will find the Story in Genesis 48: 8-20.

It is the Story of the two (2) sons of Joseph – DMC NOTES: Manasseh and Ephraim.

The father was old and so couldn’t see clearly – Joseph brought his two (2) sons before the father died so that Papa can Pray for them before he dies.

And then he (Joseph) Place Manasseh where the Right Hand of the father can land on his head and put Ephraim where the Left Hand can land because the first born is supposed to get a Double Portion of the Blessing.

And the Double Portion of Blessing is associated with the Right Hand – Don’t ask me for details.

All I am saying is that whenever a Man of God wants to bless you, put your head where the Right Hand will drop – Just collect the Blessing first and then you can then find out why later.

And the Old Man suddenly crossed his hands and Placed the Right Hand on the head of the Younger one and the Left Hand on the head of the Elder.

And Joseph said: Please Papa, you are making a mistake – This one is the Elder and this one is the Younger.

Papa said that I know what I am doing – I am being Guided by God.

He said that the Younger one will be Greatee than the Elder.

And so, he blessed them with his hands crossed.

And within a couple of Years, God had blessed the Younger one (DMC NOTES: Ephraim) ten times more than the Elder (DMC NOTES: Manasseh) – Deuteronomy 33:17.

Whenever we talk about one thousand for Manasseh, we talk of ten thousand for Ephraim.

Then Ephraim became Proud:

Whenever they say that they should go out and do something for God; Ephraim will say that everybody should go.

Ephraim, why are you not coming?

Why am I going? Who is going to enjoy all these Riches? Where do you want me to keep my goats and sheep? And then go to battle?

You just go – I am Supper Blessed!

And God began to send one Prophet after another to Ephraim – Ephraim, I love you, I gave you the Blessings that belongs to others to you and even the Blessings that you don’t even deserve.

Why are you behaving like this?

He said that I know that You are there for me.

That is what many of us will say when we talk about giving our lives to Jesus Christ.

You will say: What are you talking about? I know God and I was even born into a Christian Home.

As if – If Somebody is born in a Cattle Ranch, that makes you automatically a Cattle.

My name is Joseph – Therefore, I am a Christian.

Anyway, again and again; God kept on sending Prophet upon Prophet to Ephraim – Ephraim, come to me! I love you from the beginning and that is why you became what you are.

He said: Don’t bother me.

Finally, God said: Alright, Ephraim has made up his Mind; leave him alone – Hosea 4:17.

And when God says: Leave him alone, you should know that means trouble.

Because shortly after that, God said in Hosea 5:9 – He said that Ephraim shall de Desolate.

And do you know the meaning of Desolate?

Desolate means that by the time God finishes with the Fellow, there will be Nothing left.

So, by the time that we get to Revelation 7: 4-8; and they began to mention the names of the Tribes of Israel; Ephraim Name was no longer there – Manasseh who has said that I will serve God till I die has been brought in to take his Rightful Position.

I Pray for everyone of us here Today and those reading now on the Label of DMC: The Mercy of God over you will never end – Amen!

But once God decided that Enough is Enough – If He has been reaching out to you saying: Hey my son/daughter, I am the One who made you who you are and I am the One who has kept you alive; Surrender your Life to me,

And you are saying: Leave me alone.

The moment He says: No more Time; it can be very serious.

I will tell you just one more Story and then I will release you:

I was sitting down in my Office at the University of Lagos trying to solve a Mathematical Problem for my Publication.

I have stated the Problem and I have stated the Methods that I will use – Vectors Analysis to solve the Problem.

Suddenly, I heard God say: Son, I want you to write a Letter to Chief So, So, So.

And of course, when He is talking like that, you don’t waste time – I grabbed my Pen and began to write down.

Tell him that I love him – I know about his faults and I know everything that he has done wrong.

Tell him that I love him – If he will Surrender his Life to me; I will forgive everything that he has done in the Past and I will still take him to Heaven.

So I quickly wrote.

It was after I wrote the Letter that I said: Lord, I don’t even know this Chief and I don’t have his Address.

But He said: Write at the back of the Envelope: Chief “So, So, So”; “So, So, So” Town and Post the Letter,

He (God) said that he (Chief So, So, So) is Popular enough that the Postmaster will know where to take the Letter.

And I am talking of those days when if you Post a Letter, if it arrived after the Third Month, then you Thank God.

Tell him that if he (Chief So, So, So) wants to know more about how to become one of my Children, let him send for you.

So, I wrote the Letter and Posted it.

Within three (3) days the Letter had reached him and the Man sent this Driver to come to my Office to tell me to wait for him – That he will be with me the following day.

So I was glad.

And the following day he came – And I explained to him that it is a very Simple matter.

All you need to do is to tell the Almighty God to take over my Life, forgive my Past sins and from now on, I will do Your Will.

Simple! And we will Pray.

He said that I will think about it – And I said “Yes Sir” – Because you can’t force anybody to be saved.

For the next three (3) Years, every two, two weeks, I kept on Travelling to his Town to go and say: Sir, God has loved you and He has shown it by this – Do something.

Ha my friend, you are Welcome – I will think about it.

Then all of a sudden, he had a Stroke – Massive Stroke, the kind that takes away the voice.

But before he became unconscious; he told the People around – Send for Pastor Adeboye and then lapsed into coma.

And they sent for me and I ran.

I got there and saw him – Almost gone.

And I cried to God: Lord, Please have Mercy. Restore him one more time so that I can make one more Appeal.

In less than one hour, he was Completely Whole again.

So I said to him – Chief, God has shown you Uncommon Mercy; will you give your Life to Jesus Christ now.

He said: “I will think about it”.

Of course I knew at that moment that there is no need wasting my Time.

It wasn’t long after that that he died.

ALTAR CALL

I want to appeal to everyone of us here Today or including those reading now on the Label of DMC:

If you have not yet Surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ, do so now because tomorrow might be too late as we only know Today.

And if you Surrender your Life to Him, He knows all the details about you – He knows those things that you yourself know not to be correct.

But if you want to say to Him: Lord, I will Surrender my Life to You now.

I want to appeal to you to Please just take that one little step – Come and Stand before the Altar and I will join my Prayers with yours and Pray for your Salvation.

I am going to count from one (1) to five (5) – If by the time I say five (5), you are not already Standing before me, I will know that it is either you are Born Again or you have made up your Mind that God can mind His Own Business and let me mind my own.

So, I am counting now!

Those of you who are comimg forward and those infront; talk to the Lord.

Say: Lord Jesus Christ, have Mercy on me, save my Soul, forgive all my sins and be my Lord and my Saviour.

From now on, I will do Your Will.

And the rest of us, Please let us Stretch our hands towards those People and intercede for them.

Pray that the One who saved your own Soul will save their own Souls also.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

My Father and my God, I want to Thank Yoy for Your Words, I want to Thank You for Your Mercy and I want to Thank You for those who has come forward now to Surrender their lives to You.

Please receive them in Jesus Name.

Forgive them in Jesus Name.

Let Your Blood wash away their sins.

Save their Souls Lord and receive them into the Family of God.

And from now on, anytime they call on You, answer them by Fire.

And let them serve You till the very End.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

All of us who believed that Today is our Day, will you Please Stand Up and shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, I want to commit all Your Children into Your Hands.

I want to Thank You that thus far, You have helped us.

I am asking that You will Please help us till the End.

Very soon, these Your Children will be crying to You for Mercy; as they cry unto You, the Power that is in Your Mercy let it work for them.

Any Prayer that they have been Praying all these Years that has not received an Answwe yet; as they cry to You for Mercy Today; answer them.

Let this Day mark a Turning Point in their lives.

And very soon, let me begin to hear Fantastic Testimonies.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

1, Let’s lift our hands to the Most High God and bless His Holy Name.

Bless the King of Kings, bless the Lord of Lords, bless the Ancient of Days.

Give Him Glory, and give Him Honour for all He has done for you since the beginning of the Year.

Praise Him and Worship Him.

Thank Him for His Protection, His Provision, His Promotion, His Support, and His Favour.

Go ahead and Praise Him,

Give Him Glory as He is Worthy to be Praised and Worthy to be Adored.

There is no one like Him – He is the Ancient of Days.

He is the same Yesterday, Today and Forever.

Thank You Father!

Father, we commit all those who are involved in Sports into Your Hands; Please take care of them, keep Accidents away from them, no Tragedy, no Problems.

OPENING PRAYER

Oh Almighty God, we bless Your Holy Name.

Thank You for January, Thank You for February, Thank You for March, Thank You for April, Thank You for May, Thank You for June, Thank You for July; Father Thank You for August.

Thank You because we know that You have brought us thus far by Your Special Grace and You will see us till the End of the Year.

Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

We Thank You for every Good Thing that You have done for us: Journey Mercies, Provisions, Protection, Promotion, Joy, Success etc.

Please accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.

And this Morning in Particular, we are Presenting to You Specially all those who are involved with Sports from the Minister of Sports, to the Commisioners, to Coaches, to Players and to everyone connected with Sports in one way or the other:

Please Lord, take care of them,

Protect them from Evil,

Build a Wall of Fire around them,

And don’t let the Enemies Penetrate through to them.

Just let them keep on Succeeding.

Let there be no Accidents, no Tragedies and no Sorrow.

Let them move from Success to Success and from Glory to Glory.

Just let it be well with them.

My Father, we commit all Your Children all over the world into Your Hands:

Those who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings.

You Promise that You will embarrass them with Your Blessings – Fulfil it this Month.

Whatever they touch, let it Prosper and let it be well with them.

And all Your Children my Father and my God who are Connected with this Service in one way or the other; let this Month be a Month of Pleasant Surprises to them.

My Father and my God, Your Convention begins this Week: From all over the world, Your Children are coming,

Even before they arrive at the Redemption City of God, Surprise them with Miracles, with Signs, with Wonders and with Joy.

The Theme this Year my Father and my God is: “The Overcomers”.

Everyone who will attend the Convention this Year, make them Overcomers.

Whatever may be their Individual Problems; and whatever may be the Battles they are fighting; before the end of this New Week, let them be Singing the Song of Victory.

Make all of us Overcomers.

And let us be Overcomers forever.

You may want to be asking the Question: Why is a Church setting apart Special Sunday for Sports Men and Women and all those involved with Sports?

Well there might be many reasons but one of the reasons is that I happened to be a Sportsman – I may not look like one now but I used to be a Boxer.

Let me tell you the Truth – There are Lessons that you learn in Sports that will see you through Life.

… Many, many Lessons!

I remember very well way back in the 1960’s, we had a Coach who gave us tough time – He will Presurrise us and Pressurise us.

At a Stage, we confronted him – Sir, we are not Preparing to join the Army o; why all these rigours?

He looked at us and said: What is wrong with you Stupiid boys? The Strength that I am building in you; by the time you leave, are you going to Transfer them back to me?

Today, I still Thank him for the Strength that he built in me because now, I have to do things that Ordinary bodies will not be able to cope with.

But there was Somebody who kept on asking me to Push the Wall – Push it as if you want to Pull it down.

Why? We just want to Play Football.

But then, I have always told you – Your Coach can’t be your friend!

Why? Because your friend is satisfied with who you are and how you are.

That’s why he is your friend.

But your Coach knows that you can be much better than you are.

No matter how Good you are; a Good Coach will never be satisfied with how you are – You must keep on Pushing.

If he doesn’t Push you till you begin to wonder what is wrong with this Man; then he is not doing the work of a Good Coach.

But then, Today we want to talk about: “The Winning Team”.

Proverbs 22:29: Seest thou a Man diligent in his business? He shall stand before Kings; he shall not stand before mean Men.

Is there anybody here Today or reading now on the Label of DMC who will love to be a Winner all the days of your Life?

Let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Victory is Sweet and it is Rewarding – You give Rewards to Victors

One of my Coaches in those days says: “Don’t believe them when they tell you that all that is important in Sports is taking Part”.

Because some Coaches will tell you that it doesn’t matter whether you win or not; just take Part – And that is the Gane.

My Coach says: That is not the Game.

He says that anytime they tell you that, ask them that how come they don’t give Medals to Failures?

If all that is important is just to take Part in the Gane, then everybody who takes Part should get a Medal.

… They give Medals only to Winners – Nobody Celebrates a Looser!

Years ago, Nigeria won the U-17 Male World Cup in Football (DMC NOTES: The Nigerian Golden Eaglet as the U-17 Male Team is called won the Maiden Edition of the FIFA U-17 World Cup in Beijing China in 1985. A feat they now has repeated afterwards in 1995, 2007, 2013 and 2015 – Making them a 5-Time Champion of this Tournament and the Most Successful Team in the History of this Tournament).

When they return to Nigeria, they Paraded from the Airport in Lagos all the way in Lagos.

Some times later on, they went for another Competition and they Lost – Nobody knew when they came back to the Country as they sneaked in.

I decree in the Name that is above every other names: You will not be a Looser – Again!

When you go through the Scriptures, you will discovered in Revelation 2:17 that Overcomers will get Gifts.

It says that they will get to eat of the Hidden Manna; they will get White Stone and they will get a New name – Just for bring a Winner.

So I wasn’t surprised when the Nigeria President (DMC NOTES: Senator Ahmed Bola Tinhbu, GCFR) decided to give Gifts to the National Senior Female Team of Nigeria called Suoer Falcons – When he said that each one of them will get an hundred thousand dollars ($100,000).

I said Wao! In our own days, all we get is an Handshake.

And that they won’t just get the Money alone; they will get a House – I said is that so? (DMC NOTES: Each of the Super Falcons Players and Officials got a 3-Bedroom Flat in the Renewed Hope Estate in Abuja Nigeria).

Unfortunately now, all my children are grown up – They can’t then begin to compete now.

And then they were given National Honours – DMC NOTES: Each of the Super Falcons Players and their Coaches were Awarded and Conferred with “The Officer of the Order of the Niger (OON).

DMC NOTES: All these Rewards were given to the Super Falcons of Nigeria for winning Nigeria’s 10th Title of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations Tournament in Morocco.

… God said that they will get to eat of the Hidden Manna, they will get a New Brand White Stone and there will be a name reserved for them (DMC NOTES: Revelation 2:17).

I thank the President for the Gifts to the Super Falcons.

However, as I will show you; I am not quite sure that I will agree that the Coaches should get less than the Players.

Because I am going to show you here that without Coaches, the Team will not Succeed.

But I don’t want to get into Controversies.

God bless the Coaches – Amen!

God bless the Coaches because you need them.

I am going to tell you three (3) Major Things that you must take Note of if you are going to be in the Winning Team:

Whatever I am saying this Morning is not applying to Sports alone; it’s applying to Life!

NUMBER 1: YOU MUST KNKW HOW TO WIN.

It is not everybody who contest that can win.

Proverbs 4:7 says: Wisdom is the Principal Thing – Get Wisdom.

Then, what is Wisdom?

Wisdom is the Correct Application of Knowledge.

The Coaches have Knowledge and they have Experience.

These People has acquired this Wisdom to help you win.

Ecclesiastes 9:16 says: Wisdom is better than Strength.

You can be Strong and still loose.

You say how come?

I have told you that I used to be a Boxer.

My Model was this Fellow who later on became to be known as Muhammed Alli – He started off by being called Cassius Clay

DMC NOTES: Cassius Clay was the birth name of Muhammad Ali, one of the most celebrated Heavyweight Boxers in History. He was born Cassius Marcellus Clay Jr. in Louisville, Kentucky, in 1942. He later changed his name to Muhammad Ali after converting to Islam.

That boy was Clever – The time that he was asked to face Sonny Liston, Nobody ever thought that a boy will defeat Sonny Liston.

DMC NOTES: Sonny Liston, born Charles Liston, was a formidable American boxer who reigned as the world Heavyweight Champion from 1962 to 1964. Known for his intimidating Presence and Powerful Punches, he achieved significant success in the ring, but his career was also marked by controversy and speculation.

That Man (Referring to Sonny Liston) was a Monster – He was Strong and I mean terrible.

This Man was on one occasion was fighting and his Jaw was dislocated and they said that they should stop the fight.

He said No! Tie the Jaw together – And he still went ahead and defeated the Opponent.

And then came this Young boy – Very Young and an Handsome Man.

Hey! Give me Sonny Liston and I will finish him.

He made so much noise that they say: Alright, let us shut his mouth for him – Give him the opportunity.

And they say: Okay, you can go ahead and fight him – He will kill you.

And he went on and began to abuse Sonny Liston – He said so many ugly things about him and the Man was Mad.

By the time Sonny Liston got into the ring with Cassius Clay, he was Mad and angry.

And when you are angry, you make Mistakes.

And so the boy kept on dancing in the ring – Making him more and more angry until Sonny Liston begin to throw Wild Punches.

And then my little friend (Cassius Clay) just moved in and finished the Man.

… Wisdom is better than Strength!

The African Elders has a Saying: “You have Strength and you don’t have Wisdom, then you are Nothing”.

DMC NOTES: “Alagbara ma mero, baba ole” – Meaning that a Powerful Man who lacks Tactics is Nothing but the father of all Lazy People.

Wisdom brings Success!

Ecclesiastes 10:10 says: Hey, if you want to be Successful, be Wise!

That is why you need a Good Coach – It is a Good Coach who will tell you that this is the way to go about it.

Football is not a “Lone-Man” Game – You must work as a Team.

This is the way you do this and that.

You need the Coach to win because if you don’t know how to win; you will loose!

Now, I am going to give you two (2) Examples quickly from my own Experience:

I. Several Years ago at the University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN); they are going to do a kind of Exchange Program between the University of Nigeria and the University in America.

So, during the Long Vacation, they wanted to send some People from our own University to that University there.

So, you spend three (3) Months there enjoying yourself in America.

And they Selected the Best Students from each Faculty to pick a handful from there.

And by the Grace of God; I happened to be one of the People that they are considering.

But before the Selection, they invited us to a Dinner – We didn’t know that a Dinner can be an Examination.

So, we got there – Many of us are Ruffarians and some of us are Village Boys like myself.

They Set the Table very neatly and there was a Man who was just going around taking Notes.

They gave us soup and then little, little breads.

Well, we got there and we kept on eating – People like me will grab the bread, bit it off and we know what we did to the soup.

At that Stage alone, they said that some of us have failed.

Ha! What is the Problem?

They said that you are not supposed to bit your bread – You are suppose to break it.

Ha, Ha; what is the difference?

And they say that you are not supposed to drink your soup – You are supposed to eat it.

How do you eat Liquid?

He said that you are supposed to put the spoon there and take a little bit little by little.

We ate the bread and the little soup that remained, we used the bread to scooped it.

… We failed because we did not know how to Succeed.

II. But then I will give you another Example on the Positive side.

They are about to select those of us who will represent the University.

They wanted to select about a dozen of People – And those of us who came for the Selection, we are about one hundred and fifty (150).

But Somebody had given us an insight that on the day of Selection; the first thing that they will asked everybody to do is to run a Mile. And then when you come, they will ask you to do ten (10) Press Up’s. And after that, they will ask you to go and lift Weight – About eighty (80) Pounds or something before you Play at all.

So a friend of mine – Now of Blessed Memory and I now said: No Problem, we will Prepare.

☆ We will be asked to run a Mile – Everyday, we were running two (2) Miles.

☆ They are going to ask us to do ten (10) Press Up’s – Oh God, we were doing twenty (20) Press Up’s.

☆ They will ask us to carry Eighty (80) Pounds – We were already carrying one hundred and twenty (120) Pounds.

So the day of Selection came and the whole crowd gathered.

And then the Judge say: Everyone of you run a Mile – We were running two (2) Miles already and so we came first.

I mean that when the others were still afar off; we have arrived.

Alright, go there and do ten (10) Press Up’s, they stopped us when we were doing twenty five (25).

Okay, go there and carry eighty (80) Pounds – Eighty (80) Pounds? We are already close to carrying one hundred and twenty (120) Pounds. So we ignored the small ones.

He said that the two (2) of you – You are already in.

We haven’t Played but we have been told how to Succeed.

I decree to everyone of you here Today and those reading now on the Label of DMC: The way to Succeed in Life, may the Almighty God show you!

No 2: Work Extra Hard

The Bible Text that I read to you – Proverbs 22:29 says: Seeth thou a Man diligent in his Business, he will Stand before Kings and not mean Men.

… He will be among Kings and Winners!

Proverbs 12:24 says that: The diligent shall bear Rule.

The one who is Hardworking is going to end up as a Ruler – He is going to be a Winner!

It is not enough to be a Winner if all you want to do is to do the Normal Practice – That won’t guarantee you being a Winner!

You have to do more than Ordinary!

I will just give you one Example again from Sports:

Our Coach told us that when you are Practising for Football, you are not supposed to Practice for 90 Minutes – That is the Regular Practicing Time.

He said that the 90 Minutes in your Practice Time should be your Half Time.

So, he will drive us for 180 Minutes – That is when he will let you go.

Why? The whole thing is supposed to be 90 Minutes?

He said that is not under my Watch!

We grumbled but it didn’t yield.

Then the day came when we had what we called the 1st NUGA Games (NUGA means Nigeria University Games).

There were six (6) Universities in Nigeria in those days and there were twelve (12) Trophies.

University of Nigeria Nsukka (UNN) cleared seven (7) Trophies!

And I will never forget the Final Football Match – I didn’t want to mention the University that we Played against.

But by 90 Minutes, it was a Goalless Draw (0-0) – The other Team was Good as well.

And then, they gave us 20 Minutes Extra Time.

Now, the other Team was tired as they have Played their Hearts out. But for us, it was just our Half Time.

Within 20 Minutes, we scored four (4) Goals.

I am talking from Experience – The same thing is true for Pastors.

That is why when I asked you to Fast for seven (7) Days, I will be Fasting for fourteen (14) Days.

When I asked you to Pray for 1-Hour, I have already Prayed for 2-Hours.

That is how to win – You must be Extra Strong and you must do more than the Average Fellow!

If you do what the Average Fellow does, you will be Average!

There are other things you need – I mean for Example: The fact that in the Boxing, if you are to be a Winner, you must Protect your Weak Point.

What do I mean by that?

If you are a Boxer, one time or the other; you are likely to suffer an Injury – A blow may just hit you in the eyes and it bleeds.

After the fight, it will heal.

But there will be a scar underneath – They sew it off for you so that it won’t show much.

But the one who is going to fight you the Next Time; if he is Wise, will have Studied your Previous fights. And so would have noticed the Place that have suffered an injury before.

So when it is time to fight you, he is going to focus his attention on the Injury Point.

Because if he can break that wound again and that thing begins to bleed one more time; they will stop the fight.

He doesn’t win by knocking you out; he wins by making you impossible to continue with the fight.

If you know that you have any weak Point in Life – Protect it!

Because you may not know it but the devil knows!

And each time that there is an opportunity, he wants to hit you at that Weak Point!

No 3: In Life just as in Sports; you need Divine Involvement to win.

Every Game is like Betting.

Ecclesiastes 9:11 says that the race is not always for the swift nor the battle to the Strong.

Why? It says that Time and Chance happens to everything.

Many atimes, the one who wins the race is not the Fastest.

Many of the times, the one who wins the Boxing Bout is not the Strongest.

In Life, the one who makes it to the Top is not always the Brightest!

A friend of mine has two (2) sons – One of them was very Brilliant while the other wasn’t too Brilliant.

Somehow along a time in their Life, the one who is Brilliant I think became a Professor while the one who is not too Brilliant became a Governor.

The father says: That one gets Brain but the other one doesn’t have Brain but Lucky.

We all know what he is saying!

How many times do you see a Professor coming and there are Horse Riders?

Whether you become a Winner or not in Life depends on God!

Because in Romans 9: 15-16; it is written – God says that I will have Mercy on whom I will have Mercy and I will Compassion on whom I will have Compassion.

It says that it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but of God who shows Mercy.

I will tell you another Story from Sports:

That NUGA Games that I told you about incidentally took Place in 1965.

Before we left Nsukka, we sat down and examined our Possible areas of Victory – Where are we sure that we will win this one?

And it came to 100-Yatds Dash for Women – That is what they call it in those days.

Ha! We know that we have won that one because at that time; the Fastest Thing on this Earth was a Girl – And she was in our University.

She was Fast and so we already wrote down Gold for her.

And then the Day came – Heat, she left everybody far behind.

Then it came to the Final and we are already rejoicing that another Gold has come.

On your Mark, Steady, Go – And she was off. I mean she left the others far behind.

And then from a Short Distance to the end of the race, she fell – She got up and fell; she got up again and fell again. And then she began to crawl.

Oh, she made it to the Finishing Line but the fellow who would have been 2nd had become 1st; the one who would have been 3rd become 2nd and the one who would have no Position before now came in 3rd.

In Romans 9: 10-14; the Bible tells us that a Woman was Pregnant with a Set of Twins.

The two (2) were not yet born but God said: The Elder will serve the Younger because “I love the Younger and I hated the Elder”.

Ha! They are not yet born? Query God!

Sue Him for Proving to you that He is the Almighty, the Sovereign One and He does as He Pleases!

If you have any sense at all – When you can’t beat Him then you join Him!

You think that you can win in Life without God’s Support? Don’t be a Joker!

Success in Life is dependent one hundred Percent (109%) on God!

I have told you the Story of two (2) boys – Twins. One become the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a huge Company and the other one was his Driver.

Two (2) boys? From the same Womb? – One ended up as Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and the other his Driver.

And when they asked him – How come you ask your Twin Brother to be your driving you?

He said that in this world of uncertainties; the only one that I am sure that will not drive me into the hands of Killers is my Brother.

You want to sit down and ask yourself – How can God allow things like that?

Ask God! Sue Him!

But if you have Wisdom, you will Team up with Him.

Because if He calls you a Winner, then you are a Winner!

If He says that you are a Looser – You try everything you can; you will loose!

That’s the Truth!

Be a Winner!

If you have Surrendered your Life to Him – Congratulations!

He can re-arrange the rest of your Life and get you to becoming a Winner!

If you have not yet Surrendered your Life to Him; do so because at the end of the Day, He determines Tomorrow!

He is the One who will determine how you will end up in Life!

ALTAR CALL

So, if you are here or reading now on the Label of DMC and you have not yet Surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ but you want to do so now – I’m going to count from one (1) to five (5).

Before I say (5); come and Stand before the Altar.

Let me join my Prayers with yours and let Jesus Christ save your Soul.

I’m counting now!

Those of you who are infront and those on the way, say: Father, have Mercy on me, take over my Life from now as I Surrender to You.

I put my Life and Future in Your Hands, just take Absolute Control and I will serve You from now on.

Go ahead and talk to the Lord!

And the rest of us, let us Stretch our hands towards this our New Brothers and Sisters – And intercede for them.

And Pray that the One who saved our Souls will save their Souls also,

Thank You Father, Glory be to God.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

Ancient of Days, I want to give you all Glory and Honour for these People who has responded to Your Words this Morning.

Please receive everyone of them, save their Souls, forgive all their sins, let Your Blood wash them Clean, receive them into the Family of God, write their names into the Book of Life.

And from this moment onwards, each time that they call on You, answer them by Fire.

And let the rest of their lives be Completely under Your Control.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Congratulations to those of you who has come forward!

I assure you that from now on by the Grace of God; I will be Praying for you.

But before you go, I want you to join the rest of us as we Pray,

Those of you who believed that Today is your Day, let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, I commit all Your Children who has listened this Morning or reading now on the Label of DMC into Your Hands.

In Your Own Special Way, make all of us Winners and don’t let us loose forever.

And even in all cases where we have lost; my Father and my God, reverse the Irreversible.

I am reaching out to you Today from Mount Carmel Prayer Village in Ifewara Osun State Nigeria!

In this Place that the Almighty God Himself Set Up where we can come and Pray and God will answer by Fire.

GENERAL PRAYERS

1. I want you to lift up your hands to the Most High God and bless His Holy Name because you have survived the first Half of this Year.And I trust that the Almighty God that you are going to survive the rest of the Year.

So, lift up your hands to the Most High God and bless His Holy Name – Give Him Glory, give Him Honour, give Him Adoration. Praise Him, and give Him all the Glory that is due to His Holy Name.

Thank Him for His Mercies and Thank Him for every kind of Provisions that He has made available to you during the first Half of this Year.

2. And then, cry unto Him and say: Father, since You have seen me through the first Half of this Year; I trust that You will see me through the remaining Half.

I am asking Today that this Second Half of the Year will be far, far more Glorious for me than the Previous Half.

3. Cry unto Him and say: Lord, in this Second Half of the Year; the Reward of my Fasting and of my Waiting on You for 100-Days; let the Rewards begin to show now and begin to come very, very rapidly.

In this Remarkable Year, give me Remarkable Miracles, Signs and Wonders.

4. Then go ahead and let us Pray for all those who are involved in the Economic Sector of our Nations.

Include in your Prayers everyone that has to do with the Economy of the Nation – And I believe that includes you.

5. I ask you to also Pray Particularly for Youth Corpers, all those who are job Seekers and all those who needs Help urgently in the Financial Sector.

Pray for them now because we are Today in Particular reaching out to you from a Place where all Prayers will be answered.

Go ahead and cry to the Almighty God for these People who are Particularly in Need now in the Financial Sector.

OPENING PRAYER

Ancient of Days, the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords; the All Sufficient God – We bless Your Holy Name.

We Thank You for January, we Thank You for February, we Thank You for March, we Thank You for April, we Thank You for May, we Thank You for June and now Lord, we Thank You for July.

Thank You for seeing us through the first Half of the Year and Thank You because we know that You are there to see us through the remaining Half of the Year.

Please accept our Worship and Thanks in Jesus Name.

Father, we commit all those who are involved in the Financial Sector of the Economy of this Nation into Your Hands:

We ask that You will send Help to them, You will give them Wisdom, You will give them Understanding and You will give them Breakthroughs.

We commit into Your Hands all Youth Corpers, we commit into Your Hands all job Seekers and we commit into Your Hands all those who needs a Miracle in the Financial aspect of their lives:

Please Lord in Your Own Miraculous Way, meet all our Needs and send Help to us Lord.

Father, we are Praying especially for Your Children who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings.

In this Seventh (7th) Month of the Year; Surprise them Perfectly.

Let Your Name be Glorified Lord.

Answer all our Prayers Today my Father and my God.

Heal the Sick, Set the Captives Free and Comfort all those who might be in Sorrow.

And anyone who is in Need of one kind of Help or the other; from You Lord – This very Day, answer them all.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Well, let Someone shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Then shake hands with one (1) or two (2) of your Neighbour and Prophesy to him/her: “The Almighty God will send Help unto you”.

And then, you may Please be seated,

This Morning, we are talking about “Divine Opportunities”.

And our Bible Text will be taken from: Mark 10:46-52:

46. And they came to Jericho: and as he went out of Jericho with his Disciples and a great number of People, blind Bartimaeus, the son of Timaeus, sat by the highway side begging.
47. And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have Mercy on me.
48. And many charged him that he should hold his Peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have Mercy on me.
49. And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they call the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.
50. And he, casting away his Garment, rose, and came to Jesus.
51. And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.
52. And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy Faith hath made thee Whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Opportunity is a “Divine Helper” sent to Help Someone who needs Help urgently to be able to achieve God’s Ultimate Purpose for his or her Life.

There are two (2) things that you can do when it comes to Opportunities:

1. It is either when the Opportunity comes your way, you seize it.
2. Or if you are Careless, you loose it.

If you seize the Opportunity, then for the rest of your Life; you got it made!

And I am Praying for Someone Today that: That Opportunity that will give you a Mighty Breakthrough, and that will take care of your situations for the rest of your Life; God will give it to you Today – Amen!

If you miss that Opportunity, that Opportunity may never come back again!

A Poet in the Olden Days wrote a Poem and he says:

“There is a tide in the affairs of men which, taken at the flood, leads on to fortune; neglected/omitted, all the voyage of their Life is bound in shallows and miseries”

DMC NOTES: This is a famous line from William Shakespeare’s Play Julius Caesar – It means that there are opportune moments in Life, like a rising tide, that can lead to Success if seized, but if missed, can lead to a Life of Hardship and Disappointment. The line is spoken by Brutus to his fellow conspirators as they contemplate their next move in a conflict.

The African Elders will tell you that Opportunity is a Man – A Man that has Plenty of hair Infront of his head but at the back of the head is bald.

So they that when you see Opportunities coming; you better grab him by the front of his head because the moment he Passes by you and you try now to grab it; you will discovered that the back of the head is bald.

You try to catch it then, you will catch Nothing!

Everyone that God Created will get at least one Major Opportunity – You grab it, then you are Settled for Life or if you miss it, then that might be byebye.

I Pray in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ that Today, God will send you a Major Opportunity and that He will give you the Grace to grab and seize it so that from now on and for the rest of your Life; you will be riding High – Amen!

We will take one (1) or two (2) Examples of those who seize Opportunities and what was the results!

1. In 1 Kings 19: 19-21; we have a Man called Elisha there.

He was already doing very well – He was the son of the Richest Farmer in the Land.

But then, one day came when a Prophet Passed by him and threw his Mantle upon him.

And something told Elisha: The Purpose for which you are born is now about to begin to happen.

And what did he do?

He seize the Opportunity – He let go of everything and decided to follow the Servant of God.

Later on in Life, this Unknown son of a farmer became so Mighty that everywhere he went; even Wealthy People beg him to come to their home to dine (DMC NOTES: The Story of Elisha and a Great Woman of Shunem as documented in 2 Kings 4:8).

And by the time you get to 2 Kings 13: 14-21; you will discovered that even Kings call him Daddy.

And that even after he died, his dead bones still raised the Death (DMC NOTES: 2 Kings 13: 20-21).

He had an opportunity of a Lifetime – He seized it and Today, we are still reading about him!

2. Another Good Example will be a Woman that you read about in Mark 5: 25-34 – DMC NOTES: The Woman with the Issue of Blood.

This Woman had a Problem that no Doctor could Solve – She has been bleeding for twelve (12) Years everyday continuously.

Doctors has referred her here and there until she was Completely Broke.

Then she heard that Jesus Christ was Passing by and something told her: “Here comes your Opportunity”.

And she moved Fast – Struggled through the crowd and touched the hem of the Garment of Jesus Christ.

That Day, her Problems were over.

Yes she was healed of the Issue of Blood – And I can assure you that it wasn’t long after that she got married and got her children.

She would have bled to death if she had missed that opportunity.

3. And then of course, the Bible Text that we read to you – Mark 10: 46-52.

Bartimeaus was a Beggar sitting by the roadside begging.

He couldn’t attend the Crusade that Jesus Christ had organised but he had heard of all the Miracles that the Son of God had Performed.

So, when he heard that Jesus Christ was Passing by; he knew that this is the Opportunity of my Lifetime.

So, when he cried to Jesus Christ for Mercy and People told him to keep quiet; he refused to keep quiet but cried louder.

And you know what? Jesus Christ never came back to Jericho.

If God had not opened the eyes of Bartimeaus that Day; he would have died in Darkness!

But because he seize the Opportunity, Today we are reading about him thousand of Years after he died.

Oh, but there are those who lost their Opportunities – Maybe we will just mention one (1) or two (2):

1. Someone like Gehazi.

Gehazi was the Servant of Elisha – If there was anybody who was Placed by God to become the Greatest Prophet, it was Gehazi.

Why? Because when Elisha was to die; he would have asked Gehazi just as Elijah asked Elisha – “Gehazi, what can I do for you before I go?”

And his answer Probably could have been: ” Give me a Double Portion of your Spirit”.

Imagine what a Double Portion of the Spirit of Elisha could have done for Gehazi?

But instead of him seizing the Opportunity that the Almighty God had given him by Postioning him with a Man who can say to a Leper: “Go and wash and be Clean”.

I mean that it was Gehazi who delivered the Message of Elisha to Naaman – And so he knew every details.

He was living with a Man with an “Awesome Power”.

He was living with a Man who can speak to River Jordan and River Jordan will become a Curer of the Incurable.

But because of Money, he lost the Opportunity and ended up becoming the Patron Saint of Lepers.

2. There is another Fellow who lost his own Opportunity – His name is Judas Iscariot.

The Bible tells us in Acts Chapter 1, reading from Verse 15 – Peter was talking about Judas Iscariot and he said: “This Man was with us – He saw all the Miracles that Jesus Christ did”.

This Man had been with us when we went out casting out Demons.

But he declined to loose the Opportunity and he ended up hanging himself.

This Morning, I don’t want to talk too much.

I will just give you some illustative Examples of those who had Opportunities, seizes it and those who had Opportunities and missed it.

Because Today, I believed that God is going to give some Major Opportunities to certain People.

My Prayer is that you will seize your own Opportunity so that at the end of the Day; you will have cause to rejoice!

Let me give you an Example of Somebody who had an Opportunity and seize it:

I was invited to to come and Minister by the Traditional Ruler of one Town not too far from where I am now and I went because the Traditional Ruler happened to be one of my Spiritual Children.

And he wanted to Thank God for so many things that God has down for him.

When I got to the Church, just as I was about to settle down; the Chiefs of the Traditional Ruler began to come forward to the Church – And I mean that they were deeply Occultic

They came fully dressed in the various dresses of their various Secret Societies.

You can see that they came to show everybody that they really belonged to the devil.

The Ushers saw them coming and said: Sir, are we going to allow these People into the Church?

I said of course – Bring them in. Put them in the front rows where Jesus Christ will be able to reach them very quickly.

They came and I Preached – I was much Younger than this then as I am talking of more than 40 years ago.

I Changed my Sermon – I was going to Preach on “Oh that Man should Praise the Lord”. But when I saw these People, I Changed my Sermon to: “What happened on Mount Carmel?

And I hit the devil hard – I was Young and I have lots of zeal but maybe not as much Wisdom as I have now.

At the end of the day, I Challenged all of them – And they knew that I was Preaching at them.

I said that I came here with my wife and my son in a car with Registration Number so, so and so.

I said that if you think that your god can do anything, let him make one of my tyres flat.

And if that happened, I will serve your god.

But if he can’t do that, then you must Surrender to my God.

Then I made the Altar Call – And the Second in Command of the King, who was the Head of all Secret Societies was the first Person to come forward to Surrender his Life to Jesus Christ.

And of course when the other Chiefs saw that their Head was going forward; they followed him.

After the Service, the King said “E.A” and I said sir – Because we are very close and so calls me by my initials.

Let’s follow up this High Chief – Maybe he doesn’t know what you asked him to come forward for.

Maybe he thought that you are asking him to come forward for Healing.

So we went to his house and the King asked him: Why do you Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ? Why do you go forward when the Altar Call was made?

He said: Ha, you see a small boy like this Challenging all of us – Who does not know that he has Somebody behind him?

He said that it is the One behind him that I Surrendered to.

That Man was very Old – He was over 90 Years Old.

He diied 30 Days later!

All his Life he has served the devil but within 30-Days of dying he Switched to the side of the Lord!

He had an opportunity and he grabbed it!

And today I”m sure – When I finally get to Heaven that he is one of the People I will meet.

I am going to tell you two (2) Stories about those who has Opportunities and lost them.

This Story is important because of those of you who we are Praying for Specially today – Those of you interested in Financial Breakthrough in one form or the other.

There was this Young Man – Everyday he will come to me: Daddy, Pray for me, I want God to give me a Financial Breakthrough.

And so, I kept on Praying.

Then one day he came excited – Daddy, God has answered your Prayers.

I said what happened?

He said that my Landlord called me and said: I have a house in Ikoyi – Thirteen (13) Flats. I want you to go and sell it for me and bring me “So, So, So” much amount.

It doesn’t matter how much you sell it; this is what I want.

He said that God has answered your Prayers because the Price he is asking me to bring is less than half what that thing will cost.

I said Congratulations

Then he went and got Somebody who was ready to Pay much more higher than the Landlord was asking for.

And then he came back to me – Oh, this your God is Wonderful as He really, really answer Prayers.

I said fine – Now you are going to Pay your Tithe. And you have thirteen (13) Flats at your disposal.

I said maybe in that case you will give one of the thirteen (13) Flats to God – Afterall, ten Percent (10%) of thirteen (13) is more than one (1).

And he got angry – I mean: He was very furious.

He said: That is the Problem with you Pastors – I’m getting the first Breakthrough in my Life and the first thing you want me to think about is the Payment of my Tithe.

I said Please forgive me.

He said what kind of nonsense is that? And he Stormed out of my Office.

And then the following day, he went to the Landlord – Yes sir, the house you asked me to sell; I have sold it now.

Where do you want me to Pay the “So, So, So” amount you asked for?

The Man said: You sold my house? And he said Yes

For how much do you say you sold it? For “So, So, So” much.

My House? Is that not Number “So, So, So”? He said Yes sir.

I asked you to sell my House for that amount?

And the Man spoke in Yoruba and said: “Ati iwo ati eniti o se ogun ye fun e; e ku pa po” (DMC NOTES: Both you and the Person that made that Charm for you; both of you will die together).

In other words, he was saying: The one who gave you the Charm that you used to charm me for me to say what you said I said; both of you will die together!

If you don’t get out of my House!

So, he ran and came back to me – Daddy, help me!

I said what for sir!

He said Pray! My Landlord has Changed his Mind.

I said Please don’t get me involved o – It is between you and God. Go and settle with Him.

Up till Today, he is still a Tenant!

But that is a Minor one – I will tell you a Bigger one which many of you know.

Because I know that some of you will say: Assuming I have lost an Opportunity, is God not Big enough to restore? Can’t He give me at least another Chance?

Oh He can – I will give you illustration of People who lost Opportunity and God gave them another Opportunity but they still lost it.

A very Good Example will be King Saul.

King Saul was tested whether he will be Obedient to God.

Prophet Samuel told him: Wait for me, I will be coming to make Sacrifice to God.

He waited for some time – He checked the whatever Clock that he was carrying and he felt that Prophet Samuel was late and so went ahead to offer the Sacrifice.

He said that: What a Pastor can do; a King can do better.

As soon as he finished making the Sacrifice, Prophet Samuel arrived – What have you done?

He said that I waited for you but you didn’t come on time and that was why I went ahead to do the Sacrifice.

Prophet Samuel said to him: If only you have waited, you and your family would have ruled forever.

But because you have disobeyed God, your Kingdom will not Last.

DMC NOTES: You can read the Story in 1 Samuel 13: 8-14

But then, God in His Infinite Mercies looked down from Heaven and said: Let us give this boy another Chance and let us test whether he will be Obedient now.

And then you see what happened in 1 Samuel Chapter 15 – God called Saul and said to him: Alright now, I want you to go and do this to the Amalekites et cetera et cetera – Killed everything that you meet in that Town.

He got there he killed everybody:

I. He spared the King so that he can make a Triumphant Entry to say that I have Conquered. Look at their King that is now my Slave.

II. And then he saw some fat animals and said: I can’t kill everything now! This must be Good food.

He missed his Opportunity twice and the King ended up being a Mad Man!

So, I will tell you the Story of a Man who lost his Opportunity and God gave him another Opportunity and he still lost it again.

I was sitting at my Desk at the University of Lagos.

I was about to write a “Learned Paper” – I have spelt out the Problem and I have spelt out how I am going to attack the Problem.

And I was going to continue when suddenly I heard God said: “Go to Chief ‘So So So’ – Tell him that I love Him and tell him that if he will Surrender his Life to me, I will forgive all the sins that he has ever done and I will take him to Heaven at the Last Day.

I said: Lord, I have heard of this Chief but I don’t even know his Address – I just know that he lived in a Particular Town.

And God told me to write the Letter to him and then write at the back of the Envelope: Chief So So So; Chief So So So House; So So So Town and Post the Letter.

I did what God said.

In those days, if the Letter arrives in three (3) Months, you will Thank God.

But this Letter, with that Little Address arrived within 3 Days because God guided the Letter.

And the next thing that I saw was that the Driver of the Chief came to my Office and said: Chief asked me to tell you that: I got your Letter and I want you to wait for me in your Office as I will come.

The following day, he arrived and I explained to him – God says He loves you, He wants to save your Soul and He wants you to Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ.

He said that I will think about it.

For two (2) Years, every two, two Weeks (Fortnight); I went to this Chief Pleading – Give your Life to Jesus Christ but he will say: “I will think about it”.

Then one day, he had a massive Stroke – The kind that when it hits you, you won’t be able to talk.

But before he became unconscious, he told his People: Send for Pastor Adeboye and then he lapsed into unconsciousness.

And they sent for me and I ran there.

When I got and I saw him unconscious; I cried to God: God, Please have Mercy just one more time. Restore him so that I can Present Salvation one more time to him.

And then within a hour, he was Completely Whole.

Not only did he recovered, there was no Sign that he had a Sstroke – The mouth that was already bent to the side was back to normal.

And then I said: Okay Chief, God has given you the Last Chance. You are already gone but He has brought you back – Will you Please give your Life to Jesus Christ now?

He said that: “I will think about it”.

Then I know that there was no Hope for him.

And it wasn’t long after that, that he died.

I have told you all these Stories for those of you in Particular who has not given your Life to Jesus Christ – You have an Opportunity Today, don’t miss it.

Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ because He is at the door knocking and saying: “Open the door for me”.

If you miss the Opportunity Today, you may never have it again because you don’t even know if you will still be alive by this time tomorrow.

Nobody knows – None of us is aware of when we are going to leave this world.

All our Days are Numbered – Young and Old.

You never can tell whether you will be alive by this time tomorrow – Give your Life to Jesus Christ now!

That is the Biggest Opportunity that you can ever have.

ALTAR CALL

So, if you have not given your Life to Jesus Christ; I’m going to count from one (1) to ten (10).

Wherever you may be listening to me all over the world or reading now on the Label of DMC; before I say ten (10):

☆ If you are in the Church, go to the Altar now.

☆ If you are in the car listening to me by the Radio in your car; Stop the car and Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ.

☆ If you are in your Room, just Stand Up as a Sign to the Almighty God that you are Surrendering your Life to Him.

Amd He will save your Soul.

And I’m counting now!

Now, those of you who might be on the way and those infront of the Altar, cry to the Almighty God now and say: Lord, Thank You for giving me another Opportunity for Salvation.

I Surrender my Life to You Today – Please save my Soul, have Mercy on me and I will serve You for the rest of my Life.

Go ahead and Pray!

Let the rest of us Stretch our hands to all those who has come forward to Surrender their lives to Jesus Christ.

Pray that the One who saved your Soul will save their own Souls also.

Pray that God will have Mercy on them and as they have accepted the Opportunity to be saved; that God will give them Genuine Salvation.

Please Pray for them for one Minute and I will Pray with you.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

My Father and my God, I want to Thank You for Your Words and I want to Thank You for all those who has decided to Surrender their lives to You Today.

Father, Please receive them, have Mercy on them and let Your Blood wash away all their sins.

Even as they have Confessed You to be their Lord and Saviour; save their Souls and receive them into the Family of God.

And from now on, whenever they cry unto You; answer them by Fire.

And let them remain forever Your Children.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, I want to Thank You once again for Your Words.

And I want to Thank You for all Your Children Today Particularly those of us who might have Lost Opportunities in the Past.

I am Praying that in Your Infinite Mercy, You will restore the Opportunities that we have Lost.

And I Pray that You will never let us miss another Opportunity ever again.

I am asking Lord that Today, those of us who have never had a Major Life-Changing Opportunity, You will give us that Opportunity this very Day.

I Pray that before this Month is over, many of us will have cause to Glorify Your Holy Name because You have given us Mighty Opportunities that we have seize.

And we can see Clearly that from now on, it will be forward ever and backward never.

We can see it that from now on, by the Opportunities You have made available to us, we can only go Higher but will never go Lower.

Thank You because that it is already done.

For in Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

PERSONAL PRAYER REQUEST

Now, it will be your turn to cry to the Almighty God and tell Him exactly the kind of Opportunity that you want.

An Opportunity that will give you a Breakthrough so Mighty that for the rest of your Life; you will never Lack, be in Need and you will never go Low but go Higher.

GENERAL PRAYER

The Bible says only the Living shall Praise the Lord.

So, if you are still alive, open your mouth and begin to Praise God.

Give Him Glory, give Him Honour, give Him Adoration.

Worship Him because He is Worthy to be Praised, Adore Him, give Him Glory and Honour.

Thank You Father!

OPENING PRAYER

King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Ancient of Days, the Father of all fathers – Glory be to Your Holy Name.

Thank You once again for January, Thank You for February, Thank You for March, Thank You for April and Thank You now for bringing us to the Month of May.

Father, Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

For all You have done for us since the beginning of the Year – In Provision, in Protection, in Support, in Security and in every areas of Life.

Please accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.

Today, my Father and my God, we are committing especially Students from Nursery even to the University – Students of all Categories; my Father and my God, take care of them.

Give them Wisdom, give them Understanding and let them be Exceedingly Great.

And since we are all Students Studying at Your Feet, learning more and more about You; bless everyone of us and make everyone of us Exceedingly Great

As for all Your Children all over the world who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings – This Month, embarrass them with Your Blessings.

The Evidence that it Pays to serve God, let it be more and much more in their lives now than before.

And Today my Father and my God, we are Praying that by the time this Service is over; everyone of us will have New Testimonies.

Thank You Almighty God.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Well, let Someone shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Now, I want you to shake hands with People on your right and left and then Prophesy to them and say:

In the Mighty Name of Jesus, You shall be Exceedingly Great.

Tell the Fellow on the other side the same thing.

And then you turn – But this time around, you are going to talk about yourself – And say:

Neighbour, whether you believe it or not; I’m going to be Exceedingly Great.

Let’s open our Bible to Genesis 30: 41-43 – But you should read the whole Story at home (DMC NOTES: You can read the whole Story from Genesis 30: 25-43 – A Beautiful reading indeed!).

Genesis 30:41-43:

41. And it came to pass, whensoever the stronger cattle did conceive, that Jacob laid the rods before the eyes of the cattle in the gutters, that they might conceive among the rods.
42. But when the cattle were feeble, he put them not in: so the feebler were Laban’s, and the stronger Jacob’s.
43. And the man increased exceedingly, and had much cattle, and maidservants, and menservants, and camels, and asses.

Greatness can be Generational:

1. Abraham was Great – Genesis 24: 34-38.
2. Isaac his son was Very Great – Genesis 26: 12-14.
3. And we now come to Jacob – The one we read about today in the Bible Text.

In Genesis 30:43, he became Exceedingly Great.

Greatness usually begins with Somebody in the family. And then like a River, the Greatness can continue to flow downwards!

My real name is “Adejare” and “Adeboye” is my father’s name.

By the Special Grace of God, one way or the other, it has Pleased the Almighty God to bless “Adeboye” – That’s my father.

But now, everywhere I go, I am Pastor Adeboye – Many People don’t even know “Adejare”.

And the other day, Somebody saw my son somewhere – Oh, you are “Adeboye”.

What did he call him? “Adeboye”.

So, even if there is no Greatness in your Generation, it will begin in your Life – Amen!

You see, because the moment God makes you Great; your children will become automatically Great – It flows like a River.

But then, we want to talk briefly about this boy that the Bible says was Exceedingly Great – So that we can learn from him.

So, even though our Parents are Great, we can become Exceedingly Great.

1. He was Blessed by his father Isaac – Genesis 27: 1-38.

And then God confirmed that Blessing in Genesis 28: 10-22 – God told him that He will bless him with the Blessing is not just of your father but that of your Grandfather, I Pass it to you.

When God was speaking to Man after He Created Man in Genesis 1: 26-28; the first thing that He said to Man is: “Be Blessed”.

So, I can repeat what God said that Day on Somebody here Today or reading now on the Label of DMC: No matter how Young you are – “Be Blessed”!

2. The Second Thing about this boy who became Exceedingly Great was that: “He was Focused”.

And I hope those of you who are Students in Particular because this is your Day – I hope you will take Note of that.

He was focused on what he wanted to be!

Some of you now – If they asked you: When you grow Old, what do you want to become? Some of you don’t even have an answer.

But there are some of you – No matter how Young you are; you are already thinking that I’m going to be a Doctor or Lawyer.

And I think that Somebody might be thinking that I want to be General Overseer.

When you read about this Fellow in Genesis 29: 15-28; when he was asked: Who are you going to marry? He said Rachel.

And the father said: Okay, you serve me for seven (7) Years without Salary. Your Salary after seven (7) Years will be my daughter, Rachel.

But then, when the seven (7) Years has Passed, and he asked for Rachel; the father of Rachel Performed a trick and gave him Leah instead of Rachel.

Jacob was so madly in love – You know that he didn’t even check the face of the one they gave to him until the following Morning.

The following Morning, he said: Ha, Rachel is what I want but you have given me Leah.

Papa said, no Problem! You still want Rachel? Then serve me for another seven (7) Years.

And Jacob said: No Problem.

… He knew where he was going.

The Bible tells us in Luke 9: 61-62 – Once you have laid your hands on the Plough, you must not look back.

Once you have made up your Mind that this is what I want to become; then “Be Focused”.

You cannot Succeed in Life if you don’t know where you are going!

And this has nothing to do with Age – You have to decide even when you are Young!

For Example, my father has two (2) wives – And he was so Poor that Poor People call him Poor. Yet he has two (2) wives and ten (10) children.

I was Young – And I am talking of way back in 1955.

But I have enough sense to realised that if I don’t Study hard, I will die in Poverty!

Because all the Plantations that my father had is not enough to make him rich – I mean Poor People call him Poor.

Now, there are ten (10) children – And so when he dies, they will divide what is not enough for one Man to ten (10) Places.

That is “Poverty Squared”.

So, I Study very hard, gained Admission to Elisha Grammar School Ilesha Osun State Nigeria and my Parents said that where are we going to get the Money to Pay the School fees?

They said to me: Do you want to ridicule us? Where will the Money comes to Pay the School fees?

I told them that: You will have to find the Money one way or the other.

I told them as Young as I was in 1955 – I am not going to eat until you Pay the Money because you have to Pay.

When you get the Admission in those days, you have to Pay what you call Deposit – Something that will serve as evidence that you have Accepted the Offer.

And the Admission Deposit then was two Pounds Sterling (£2) – That was a lot of Money in those days!

I am not going to eat until you Pay – My mother laughed, when hunger catches you, you will Change your Mind.

First Day, I refused to eat; Second Day, I refused to eat – And I happened to be the only son of my mother.

I have three (3) Sisters but I am the only son.

When by the Third Day and she saw that the way I was; they found the two Pounds Sterling (£2) by force – Because I was focused.

I know that if I don’t Study hard, I will die in Poverty.

I Pray for all of you Students listening to me Today or reading now on the Label of DMC: None of you will die in Poverty – Amen!

3. He was Diligent – A Hardworking Man.

For 14 Years he Laboured because he wanted Someone.

Hebrews 11:6 says: God is a Rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

You want to become Exceedingly Great? You cannot be Lazy – There is no room for Laziness in the Kingdom of God.

Proverbs 12:24 says: The Diligent shall bear rule.

It is only the one who is Hardworking who will ever become anything in Life.

It doesn’t only apply to Students, it applies to everybody.

If you are not Hardworking, God is not going to Reward you – He is not going to make the Lazy Great. Never!

He wrote it in His Words – Only the Diligent will bear rule. The Slothful, they will always be Servant.

I’m sure that I have told you this Story before:

When I was going to a Particular University every Month – I still have Plenty of time then to go and teach them the Bible.

And then I got there one day and I saw everybody – They were all sad.

What is the Problem? They said that many of the People in the Fellowship who will Pray and Fast, failed their exams.

I said what happened? And they told me the details.

And I said that at the time when you are supposed to be Studying, you are Singing Choruses?

Are you not the one who told us that the Holy Spirit will remind us and will help us?

I say that the Bible says that the Holy Spirit will remind you of what you have learnt .

You don’t Study? What is He going to remind you about?

What is the duty of the Holy Spirit?

I say: He will Comfort you – He will tell you: Wake Up, tomorrow you will Pass if you now begin to Study very hard.

I hope you children are listening – You don’t work hard or you don’t Study hard and you think that you will go to the Examination Hall and then get there and begin to speak in Tongues?

And the Teacher will say: What is the Square Root of 169? And you begin to speak in Tongues?

Iro ni yen – DMC NOTES: That is a lie!

Nothing will come!

4. And then, this boy who became Exceedingly Great was a Prayer Warrior.

God answers Prayers – And He even answer the Prayers of Younger People faster than the Older ones!

Because the Older ones has so many other things that they are worrying about and so they don’t have time to Pray!

You must Pray!

In Genesis 32: 24-28; this Young Man (Jacob) had an Encounter with an Angel and he began to wrestle with him.

He was winning and the Angel said: Leave me alone and let me go?

He (Jacob) said that you are not going anywhere until you bless me.

The Bible says that even the Angel dislocated his thigh – He said that it is my thigh that you dislocated and not my neck. I am still going to get what I want.

Until finally, the Angel said: Okay, what is it that you said you want?

He said: Just bless me.

You have an Advantage – Those of you who are already in Christ at your Youthful Age – You have the Almighty God to cry to.

Many of us (Elderly ones), when we were at your Age; we didn’t know anything about Christ – Some of us never went to Church and some of us even when we go to Church, the one Preaching to us Probably didn’t even know what he is talking about. When he is talking, Probably we fall asleep.

But in your own case, your situation is different!

He Prayed until God had to say: Okay, whatever is it that you say you want; you will get it.

That doesn’t apply to Students alone – It applies to everyone of us.

You want to be Exceedingly Great? And you are Lazy in Prayers? Somebody is deceiving Somebody – You must be a Prayer Warrior!

Some of you have heard me tell you this before:

I became General Overseer and I did everything that I could but the Church was not growing.

Every Monthend, I have a Seminar – People will come for the Seminar but by Sunday, I won’t see them.

I Pray, I Fasted and I Studied the Bible, but Nothing was happening.

Then one day at the Redemption Camp, I told God: Today is today; when you told me to become General Overseer, I said leave me alone and let me continue to do my work as a Lecturer.

Afterall, I am already serving you as a Lecturer – The little Money I get as a Lecturer, once I give my wife the Money for food, the rest is Yours.

But you said that I should leave that and come and lead Your Church.

I said alright I agreed but I am not seeing results.

So I told God: It is You and I here and Nobody is here – It is either You do something or you take me Home!

When God saw that I was desperate, He answered,

There was an Earthquake at the Redemption Camp – The Ground shook and the shaking was felt as far as Ijebu Ode (City in Ogun State Nigeria). Pictures hung on the Wall were falling down.

Is there Somebody here Today or reading now on the Label of DMC that God is going to in a Remarkable way? Yes, The DMC Family Members!

DMC NOTES: Ijebu Ode is about 60Km away from the Redemption Camp.

How come that this boy become Exceedingly Great? It was because God was with him – For him and with him!

Romans 9: 10-16; the Almighty God had already decreed – It was already in the Destiny of this boy that he was going to become Exceedingly Great before he was born.

And like we discussed during the RCCG May 2025 HGS on Friday, 2nd May 2025 in Jeremiah 29:11 – You are Destined to become Great.

You said: How do you know?

This boy got the Blessings of Abraham.

And the Bible says that if you are in Christ, you are Abraham’s Seed.

If you are a True Christian, you are on the same Line of Greatness as Abraham!

The Bible tells us that Christ has redeemed us from the Curse of the Law because it is written that Curse is any Man that hangeth on a tree.

He said that so that the Blessings of Abraham can be on you.

Your Destiny is Settled!

☆ You are Settled for Greatness.

☆ You are Destined to be Exceedingly Great.

And when Jesus Christ opens the door, Nobody can shut it.

There are several People who could have been glad if I had died Young.

But as we will learn at the Next HGS (DMC NOTES: RCCG June 2025 HGS with the Theme: Destined For Greatness – Part 2) – If you are Destined for Greatness, there is no way that you can die before you become Great!

Destiny has a way of destroying Death!

So, all you my children – You are not going to die Young (Amen).

That is why I asked you to tell your Neighbour: Whether you like it or not; I am going to be Exceedingly Great!

So, the Choice is yours – Are you a Child of God? Do you belong to Jesus Christ?

If you belong to Jesus Christ – Not Pretending, there is no way that the Blessings of Abraham will not come down on you.

Greatness is Generational – And it flows Downstream!

If you truly, truly belong to Jesus Christ – If you are not Pretending.

If you really mean it and you say that Jesus Christ, You are my Lord whether the devil likes it or not; you will be Great!

But if you are Pretending, you will know what the results will be.

ALTAR CALL

So, if you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ – You want to really, really be a Child of the Living God; come and stand before the Altar.

Let us Pray for your Salvation – And as soon as you become a True Christian, the Blessings of Abraham will become available to you.

So, I will count from one (1) to seven (7) – If you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ, you can begin to come now as I count.

I want those of us who are already infront and those on the way; cry to God and say:

Lord Jesus, Please save my Soul as I want to be a Child of the Living God and I want to be a Seed of Abraham.

And I Promise You Lord that I will serve You for the rest of my Life – Be my Saviour and be my Lord.

Go ahead and talk to God.

And the rest of us, let us Stretch our hands towards these People and intercede for them.

Pray that the One who saved your Soul will save their own Souls also.

Go ahead and let us Pray!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION

My Father and my God, I want to bless Your Holy Name.

I want to Thank You so much for Your Word Today and I want to Thank You for these People who has come forward to Surrender their lives to You.

Father, Please receive them in Jesus Name, save their Souls in Jesus Name, let Your Blood wash away their sins, write their names in the Book of Life and let them become Children of the Living God in Jesus Name.

And anytime that they cry to You, answer them by Fire.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Those of you who are sure that because you are now True Children of the Livinf God and you are going to end up Exceedingly Great, Stand on your Feet and shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God, I want to Thank You for Your Words.

The reason why Jacob became Exceedingly Great was because he was blessed by You.

I am Standing Lord God Almighty in the Position of a father to these Your Children and I hereby decree:

Everyone of you, you shall be Blessed.

You shall be Great.

You shall be Exceedingly Great.

You will not fall by the way Side.

You will not die Young.

You will not die Poor.

You will not die Unknown.

The Almighty God will Reward you.

All your Efforts will not be in vain.

What you want to become, the Almighty God will make it Possible.

It shall be well with you.

Before I see you next time, you will already be Greater.

So shall it be.

And you too, you will Serve the Lord.

Remember that Jacob was a Prayer Warrior – And so, you need to Pray hard this Morning.
