Well let somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
I once told you the Testimony of one of our Sister. She had “Cancer of the Voice Box”.
The ” Voice Box” is what we used to speak.
Then the doctors said that there is only one way to spare her life – That is by cutting away the “Voice Box” and that is what you used to speak.
So, they performed the operation at The University Teaching Hospital (UCH) Ibadan (Affiliated to the Premier University of Ibadan in Oyo State Nigeria).
Very difficult decision but it has to be taken.
I went there and Prayed with her on the Hospital bed and I told her that I have a God who can reverse the irreversible.
For once a while, when she wants to speak or communicate; she will write or send a text.
Then one day I travelled and I came back. As I was coming out of the car, I saw a woman rolling on the floor. I turned to look at her and she said: Ha, it is me daddy – I can speak again.
Your own “Voice Box” is still there. Will you open your mouth and Praise the Almighty God? Will you give Him Glory and Adoration and Praise the King of Kings and bless the Lord of Lords and bless the Unchangeable Changer?
Will you give Him Glory, will you give Him Honour, will you give Him Adoration because you can speak – Your “Voice Box” is there?
The Lord God Almighty has made it possible in His Infinite Mercy to be able to speak again – Glorify His Holy Name.
Go ahead, Praise Him today – We are here to Praise the Almighty God. We are thanking Him for everything He has ever done for us particularly throughout last Year.
Give Him Glory, give Him Honour, give Him Adoration. Bless the Ancient of Days and the King of Kings. He is worthy to be Praised, He is worthy to be Adored, He is worthy to be Magnified.
Thank You Lord. Blessed be Your Holy Name. Thank You Ancient of Days – We give You Glory, we give You Honour, we give You Adoration.
Thank You, we just want to say Thank You – Thank You Lord, Thank You Father – In Jesus Mighty Name we worshipped – Amen.

The Ancient of Days we give You the Glory; Alpha and Omega, we give You Honour; Our Saviour, our Healer, our Provider, our Defender, our Promoter, our Hope of Glory, our All in All – We give You All the Glory. Please accept our worship in Jesus Name.
Thank You for Year 2019; thank You that inspite of everything that the devil Planned, we survived it. Thank You that we are here again this Year. Please accept our worship in Jesus Name.
My Father and my God, we are here just to say Thank You today and we know that if we thank You enough, You will do Greater Things. The Grace to be Grateful like never before; Father please give us.
The ability Lord God Almighty to Sing, to Praise, to Dance, to Glorify Your Name please don’t take it away from us.
And all those People who may be listening to us all over the world or reading now even from all the Social Media Handles of DMC; please Lord even before we finished this Service or reading the Full Text of the Message; open their mouths.
And those who cannot hear, please open their ears. Those who cannot see, open their eyes. Those the doctors said there is “Nothing More” they can do for them; Please Lord today reverse the irreversible.
As we Praise You today (And by Extension all throughout Year 2020); “Fearful Blessings” Father pour it upon us.
And to our children who has been Faithful throughout Last Year in the Payment of their Tithe and the Giving of their Offerings; this Year (2020) embarrass them with Your Blessings.
Rebuke devourers for their sakes.
Let this Year be a “Year of Success” for them.
Thank You my Father and my God.

BIBLE TEXT: PSALMS 34: 1-4
- I will bless the LORD at all times; His Praise shall continually be in my mouth.
- My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad.
- O Magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt His Name together.
- I sought the LORD, and He heard me, and delivered me from all my fears.
If God had ever heard your Prayers shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
… WHY SHOULD WE THANK GOD?
1. Reason Number 1 is because God commands it.
1 Thessalonians 5:18; it says: In everything give Thanks because this is the Will of God concerning you.
In Colossians 3:17; the Bible says: Whatever you do in words or deeds do it in the Name of Jesus Christ Giving Thanks.
… Whatever you do, Give Thanks!
A. If you are eating give Thanks – Why?
I. There are those who wants to eat and they have nothing to eat.
II. There are those that can eat a lot but sickness won’t allow them to eat it.
III. And I’m sure that you have heard of those who died on the Dining Table before.
In case you don’t know, I can give you several examples that sat down to eat, took one morsel and got choked to death.
You have been eating throughout last Year (2019); you didn’t choked, the food went down correctly
IV. And like I said to those of us who are in the Holy Ghost Service; that there are some of us we don’t have money but we can eat.
… If you are one of such People; will you shout Hallelujah with me? – Hallelujah!
I have a friend, one of the richest People Nigeria had ever known.
By the time he died; he had two hundred and fify six Million Dollars ($256,000,000) in Australia, not to talk of America – In far away Australia, $256,000,00.
The only food he could eat was Milk despite all that money.
I don’t have $256,000,000 anywhere but don’t believed those who says Pastor Adeboye doesn’t eat. If you want to see what Pastor Adeboye could do: Invite me to your house for lunch and make sure that there is plenty of Pounded Yam, plenty of Chicken, of fish and right there in your sitting room – You don’t have to go to any Church; you will see the Glory of God right there.
Those of you who can eat anything let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
B. That you can sleep, you should Thank God for that.
Whether you believed it or not; there are People who has plenty money, who have Beautiful Houses that they can’t sleep.
I have told you the story of a man who has fourteen (14) houses in Ibadan (Oyo State – Nigeria); came to me and say: Sir. I was told that if you Pray for me, I will be able to sleep because he has not been able to sleep for Years.
He said: Pray for me so that I can sleep and you can take all the fourteen (14) houses.
I say Jesus will heal you but I don’t want those fourteen (14) houses because I want to be able to sleep.
There are some of us who can sleep standing.
Anybody like that here? Let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
In everything you do; God commands that you should Give Thanks.
And then in Philippians 4: 6-7; He says: Be careful for nothing (Meaning don’t worry) but in all things; with Prayers and Supplications plus Thanksgiving, you just make your request known to God.
Everyone who knows how to say Thank You will get their Prayers Answered – That is what God said.
2. Reason Number 2 is that you have Good Reasons on your own as an Individual to Give Thanks.
I. One of the reason is that you are still breathing.
Psalms 150:6 says: Let all things that has breadth Praise the Lord.
As long as you are still breathing, they can’t bury you.
I told you the story of one man who went for Festival of Life in Abuja from Kaduna. And they are coming back and had an accident. And he was in a Coma for a long time but he was still breathing.
He happened to be a Christian, once a while he will come to the surface and shout Jesus and then go back into coma.
And then after a long while; again he will come back again and shout Jesus.
And the People saw him, this fellow has been in coma for a long time but because he is still breathing; they couldn’t bury him.
Then one day he shouted Jesus and then open his eyes.
Everyone of you that People thought there is no Hope; this Year, God will surprise them – Amen.
Because the Bible says that as long as you are still alive; there is Hope for you.
Ecclesiastes 9:4 says even a living dog is better than a dead lion.
If they call you a dog and you are still alive – say Thank You very much. I agree that I’m a dog but I’m still alive.
Because when there is Life, there is Hope.
And then when you read Genesis 18: 1-14, you will discover that as long as you are still alive, a day may come when the Almighty God will change Prophesies to a Decree.
For twenty five (25) Years, God was Promising Abraham and Sarah that you will have children. Then a Year came when God paid them a Visit and He didn’t say one day you will have a child; He said, nine (9) Months from now the child will come.
He changed all the Prophesies to a Decree.
And I’m standing on this Altar to say that: Every Prophesies that you have received up till this moment, this day; they will become a Decree – Amen.
Because when you read Isaiah 61: 1-3; the Bible talked about a Year – It called it The Acceptable Year of the Lord.
When I read that Passage and I was wondering what exactly does that mean?
The Lord showed me for the woman with the issue of Blood in Mark 5: 25-34; you know the story: Her Acceptable Year came after twelve (12) Years.
In Luke 13: 11-17; for the woman who was bent double: Her Acceptable Year came after eighteen (18) Years.
In John 5: 2-9; for the man who was by the Pool of Bethesda: His Acceptable Year came after thirty eight (38) Years.
For the man in John 9: 1-7 – The man who was born blind: His Acceptable Year came after forty (40) Years.
For every man, there is an Acceptable Year.
I have a feeling deep within me that this might be the Acceptable Year for somebody – Amen.
3. Why should I thank God – Number 3 is because of Divine Mercy..
Lamentation 3: 22-23 says: It is of the Mercy of the Lord that we are not consumed. He renewed His Mercy everyday, every morning.
He will look at us and said: I will be Merciful for another day – That is why we are still surviving.
It will interest you to know according to Romans 9: 15-18 that it is not everybody who got the Mercy.
He said: I will show Mercy for whom I will show Mercy.
I just happened to be one of them – Same as the entire DMC Family Members.
Is there anybody here who has received Mercy from the Lord? – Yes, The DMC Members.
I was telling my wife the other day and said that there are Songs that comes directly from God.
And do you know one of such Songs:
Modupe mo ri Anu gba (I give thanks that I obtained Mercy)
Modupe mo ri Anu gba (I give thanks that I obtained Mercy)
Tori ki se gbogbo eniyan lori Anu gba (Because it is not everybody that obtains Mercy).
… If you have ever received the Mercy from the Lord let Him hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
THEN. WHY MUST I THANK GOD FOR HIS MERCY?
Because in that Romans 9: 1-18; it tells us that it is not of his Will nor of him that runs but it is of the Lord that shows Mercy.
It is not of him that is able, it is not because of your ability, your wisdom, your connections; it is just because of thee Mercy of God that you are where you are.
Each time I read that Passage, I always remember an incident that happened when am at the University of Nigeria Nsukka way back in the 1960s – I think this one was in 1965.
There was this girl in our Team – in the University Team; she was the fastest thing alive at that time. I mean she can run.
So, when we are leaving Nsukka (University of Nigeria) for Ibadan (University of Ibadan) for the first Nigeria University Games and we are already counting Medals – For this girl, we will get Gold no doubt about that.
But we came to Ibadan and it was time to run: On your mark, Set, Go.
Immediately, she was gone. I mean in those days it was one hundred (100) Yards. Not long we began to use metres.
Within a short period of time; she has left others behind with a gap of about ten (10) Yards.
And then just about another ten (10) Yards to the Finishing Line; she fell, got up and fell; she got up again and fell. And then she began to crawl towards the Finishing Line.
In the meantime, the Person that should have been 2nd came 1st; the one that should have been 3rd came 2nd and the one who should have had no Medal came 3rd.
It is not because you are Clever, it is not because you are Able, it is not because you are Wise; you are where you are today because of the Mercy of God!
If you appreciate the Mercy of God will you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah?
And then Psalms 124: 1-8 tells us that if it has not been God on our side, what shall we be saying now?
Oh, I said when men rose up against us, they would have swallowed us up.
You think you have no enemies; you must be joking – If you are succeeding you have enemies, if you are a failure you have enemies.
If you don’t believed me ask Bartimaeus – He was an ordinary beggar by the roadside begging. And then he heard that Jesus Christ was passing by and he was crying to Jesus Christ for Mercy – To Jesus Christ not the crowd.
Then the crowd showed him that day that he had enemies – They told him to shut up.
They wanted to block his way – The way of a beggar into Deliverance.
You don’t know how many enemies you have? – Enemies from your father’s house, from your mother’s house, from the In-law side, from the Place of work.
There are People who hate you just for the way you walk. Not that you offended them; they just don’t like the way you walk – they say maybe you swagger.
Whether the enemies likes it or not; you will swagger the more – Amen.
Why? – Because the Lord is on your side!
If you know that the Lord is on your side, let me hear you shout another Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
I can go on and on but you know that they are always Timing me on occasions like this.
So, the issue is not even why should I Praise God?
… The issue is: How should I Praise God?
2 Samuel 6: 12-19; gives an example of how to Praise God.
This example I took from David – The man who wrote the Bible Text that I read to you – Psalms 34: 1-4.
The man who said that I will Praise the Lord at all times; His Praise shall continually be on my mouth.
He gave us an Illustration: There was this occasion that he was taking the Ark of Covenant into Jerusalem. And then somewhere along the line, there was an accident and somebody died because of the Ark of Covenant. So he said ha, i didn’t know that this Ark can be this dangerous so he looked for one man called Obededom and said if you die you die. He took the Ark of Covenant and took it to Obededom’s house.
As soon as the Ark landed in Obededom’s house; God began to bless him. He blessed him so mightily that the whole Nation heard about it.
So, they told David – The fellow that you thought is going to die has became the talk of the town.
Then he said that I will go and get my Ark back. He got there and took the Ark of Covenant of the Lord and the Bible said that when they were bringing the Ark of Covenant to Jerusalem, David danced with all his Might.
Now, you need to pay attention to the words there: David was a Mighty Man of War. I mean you have to be Mighty to be able to kill a lion with bare hands. You have to be really, really Mighty to kill a bear with bare hands.
… With all that Might, he danced.
But then he did something else: As soon as they take six (6) steps; he will say stop, I want to sacrifice to God.
They will sacrifice and then take another six (6) steps and will sacrifice again.
In Modern terms; he was spraying money to show his appreciations to God.
He wasn’t stingy at all, he was overgenerous when it comes to Thanksgiving.
And do you know how God responded?
Years later, David made a terrible mistake – he committed Adultery.
As a King, he uses his position – Abused his position; committed Adultery, sent for the husband of the woman, arranged for his death.
Once the husband was dead, he pretended to be a Good King, took the woman and brought her to his wife – You see I take care of my servants when they died in battle. I took after their wives.
And God was looking down from Heaven.
So, one day God sent His Servant to him: David, such and such happened. A man who has many sheep took a little lamb from the man who has only one and use that one lamb to entertain his Guest.
David said: In my Kingdom?
The Prophet said Yes.
… In this my Kingdom when am still on the Throne? David said.
The Prophet said Yes.
David said that man is dead.
The Prophet said that you are the Man: You did this, you did that.
Ha, David said: I’m in trouble. He said that I have sinned.
… That is all he said!
He has not even said: I am sorry. He didn’t even say: I will repent and restitute.
As soon as he said: I am sorry; the Prophet of God said God has forgiven you.
Ha, ha; the first time I read that Passage I said I don’t understand this one. What is going on here?
And there was no one to explain it to me and so I have to go to God Himself: Will you tell me because I know People who has not done a third of what David did and you killed them. This one committed Adultery, committed Murder, he was an Hypocrite.
And the Almighty God said that: I have nobody like him when it comes to Praising Me!
I have Plenty of Angels in Heaven Praising Me. This one, let him be Praising Me on Earth.
But He said that He will punish him because I’m a Holy God. But kill him, I am not going to!
I said it before: Anyone who knows how to Praise God correctly; one way or the other will make Heaven.
Someone reminded me that I said: If by any chance God forbid bad thing but if by any chance I get to Heaven and the gate shut against me. He said that I said I know what to do to get in
That I will stand out there and begin to Praise God. That I will say: You are the King of King, the Lord of Lord, the Ancient of Days. There is no One like You. Oh, You are the Brighter Morning Star, the Lilly of the Valley, the Rose of Sharon.
That I said, very soon God will say: Who lock that one out there? That fellow belongs here.
… That I will Praise my way through!
When you Praise God Acceptably; He will do for you what He will not do for other People.
I can give you other examples. You can take the example of Solomon, the son of David when he wanted to show appreciations to God.
He offered a thousand burnt offerings and People were saying: King, your Majesty; you are over doing these things.
He (Solomon) said that you don’t know what you are talking about: I know where I was coming from? – My father is an Adulterer, my mother an Adulteress of the worst type. And God looked down into all these combinations and choose me now – Product of these terrible People and made me King.
… He said: Mind your business, I will Praise Him.
That Night, God responded: Its like this boy is like hiss father. Let me show him too what Mr too can do on return.
You know all these things very well. It is the same Principle that the Juju Singers learnt long time ago.
You go to a Party, you borrow money to come to the Party. The Musicians come and he has found out your name. Even though you are a Messenger in the Place of work; he begins to call you “Emergency Contractor”. He calls you Managing Director.
Before you know it, you take the money you borrowed and give it to him.
When you want to take the money; your mind is telling you – You borrow this money and you said shut up!
Is there anybody here today who wants to Praise God?
Stand on your feet and shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
As for those of you who don’t know why we are Praising God? The Bible says in Psalms 34:8 – Oh taste and see that the Lord is Good.
We have tasted Him, we found Him to be Good and that is why we are shouting like babies; that is why we want to Praise Him; that is why you will see Traditional Rulers dancing this morning; that is why you are going to see Professors forgetting their degrees and Praising God.
… Because we have tasted and found that the Lord is Good!
ALTAR CALL
So, if you are here and you have not tasted Him. If you have not given your Life to Him; you don’t know what we are talking about but you can begin to experience it now.
So, I’m going to count from one (1) to ten (10). If you want to taste and see how Good the Lord is then come before I say ten (10). I will Pray with you and from this moment onwards you too will begin to see that the Lord is Good.
… Am counting now!
Oh, He is a Good God. His Mercy endureth forever. If He has not been on your side, by now you will be dead. He loves you.
Oh Yes, come and taste Him. He is a Good God. No One like Him. He can take care of all your problems. He can put a New Song in your mouth.
Now, those of us who are already infront and those of you on the way; talk to the Almighty God. Tell Him that I have come to taste the Lord. I want You to save my soul, I want You to take over my Life from now on. I will serve You for the rest of my Life.
Let everything become New from me Lord. Please save my soul, forgive all my sins.
And the rest of us, let us stretch our hands to our new brothers and sisters and intercede for them. Pray that the One who saved our souls will save their own souls also. Talk to the Almighty God that God will give them a Brand New Beginning – Intercede for them!
And if you want to come, you are not late yet; you can still come. Just make sure that you get here before I finished Praying.
Yes Lord; God Bless You – Keep coming. Make this Day your Day of Salvation.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION
Saviour I want to Thank You for Your Words and I want to Thank You for those who have come forward to surrender their lives to You.
Please Lord receive them, have Mercy on them, save their souls. Let Your Blood wash away their sins, receive them into the Family of God. Let everything become New for them.
And from now on, anytime they call on You, answer them by Fire.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed- Amen.
Now those of you who have come forward I rejoice with you because from now on by the Grace of God o will be Praying for you.
So I’m going to need your names, your address and your Prayer request.
I Promised you that I will be Praying for you.
The Counsellors could please come and attend to them where they are and they just give them a Card to fill so that they can give the cards to you.
Now the rest of us: Are we ready to Praise God?
I want you to Praise Him this morning. He will Pinpoint you. You can see that He is seeking for Worshippers.
Let Him Pinpoint you and said that this fellow has Praised Me more than others. And so I’m going to bless him or her more than others this Year.
I want you to just Praise God in your own way: Call Him by His Name, Sing unto Him, Dance unto Him, Clap unto Him – Just show Him your own appreciations.
Let us just go ahead and appreciate God. Let us give Him Glory, Honour and Adoration.
Let us Magnify His Holy Name, there is no One like Him. He reigns forever. Praise Him from the bottom of my heart.
Thank Him that you can see, you are still breathing, He hasn’t given you over to the enemas. Thank Him that you have obtained Mercy – Praise Him!
