MODERATOR

Alright, let us delve into the Topic of the “Carpe Diem” (Seize the Day) and the Topic before us is very interesting to know that Youth all over the world need to hear all of these:

  1. Is there anything like too Young to fail or too Young for success?

MERVIN AZETA RESPONSE

I will say absolutely No! – That you can excel and succeed at any time in life and that you can fail at any time in life.

We have heard story of Young People blaze the trail at the ages of ten (10) or fifteen (15). And we have heard of People who fail at older ages.

I think that there is no such limit on when you can succeed or when you can fail.

MODERATOR

Alright thank you very much.

And unto you Pastor Bisi Akande on that question too Young to fail or too young to succeed.

BISI AKANDE RESPONSE

Evidently there is nothing like too Young to fail or too old to fail.

People fail for several reasons and different reasons – And we have seen quite a number of Young People who have succeeded at a very Young ages.

Uzziah at the age of sixteen (16) became King in the Bible.

There are only some Kings that actually succeeded more than him – Solomon and Probably Jehoshaphat.

He did well, he invented a lot of things. So, there is nothing like too Young to fail or too Young for succeed. You can succeed at anytime and you can fail at any time.

MODERATOR

To you Mervin Azeta: Why is it that there are not enough Young People helping with the Invention in the Society – Inventing and Creating New Pathways.

MERVIN AZETA RESPONSE

I will like to stress the fact that we only assumed such on the basis of Misinformation because I think a lot of Young People that are succeeding in whatever fields they find themselves you had very few People who had done Great Things, Invented New Thing in different fields.

I think it is just a matter of getting the whole idea behind Inventing and I think that is why we have this conversation around like story telling why People understand and sharing a lot of thing.

I think we get are a lot of Young People who might just need to do a quite some work.

I understand that we having many more doing that and we need to have the story put out there so that other Young People can be inspired as well.

MODERATOR

Thank you very much.

Pastor Bisi: So, you are in John Maxwell Team. You have Authored so many Books on success. I want to ask is there a formula for Success?

BISI AKANDE RESPONSE

I might not just say there is a Formula for Success because is not a Mathematical Theory that you are trying to solve.

It is not as if you are trying to put it together.

I wouldn’t say there is a Formula for Success really but I would say there is a “Principle that backs Success”.

If you are going to succeed then there are certain Principles to follow.

The challenge that we have among Young People especially in the Body of Christ is like we don’t understand that there is a difference between “The Person of Christ” and “The Principle of Christ”

So, many People go for “The Person of Christ” and forget “The Principle of Christ”.

And because they do that, they rest on “The Person of Christ” but “The Principle of Christ” are not in Place – You must have “The Principle of Christ” in Place.

If you remember in Joshua’s case because he was going to take over from Moses – Moses was so big that he talked to God face to face.

God had to talked to him and say: Look, I’m the One who allowed this man shift so that you can come in. What I’m saying to you is that if you allow the Book of the Law not to depart from your mouth then you will succeed.

And I can say here that: The Book of the Law was not just the Bible because the Bible was not a Physical Bible – Don’t allow what God is speaking to you, what Nature is speaking to you and the things that life is telling you to depart from you.

He said if you can do that then you will have “Good Success”.

… So, there are Principles that back Success.

If you look at the life of Jesus Christ – He work by Principles and that is why when He was twelve (12) Years old; He was in the Temple questioning People that were older than Him.

He went into a “Mentorship Arrangement” – He was Coached and I think a lot of Young People need a lot of coach to be able to advance their Call.

So, Success does not necessarily have a Formula!

MODERATOR

Ok, over to you Mervin Azeta: Do you have anything to say concerning the question, is there a Success Formula?

MERVIN AZETA RESPONSE

Just like Pastor Bisi Akande has already mentioned; there is “No Particular Formula” for Success.

I think what is important is understanding God’s Purpose for your life, what He called you to be and you are able to find that Purpose for your life and you are able to Impact lives around you.

Once you have that; you can actually excel in whatsoever you do for the Glory of God.

MODERATOR

Thank you very much for that.

So, Pastor Bisi Akande – You are a Youth Pastor in Charge of the Youth Province 1 and you have seen a lot of Youths don’t handle Diligence. They can’t handle the Favour of God. So, how should Youth handle Diligence, Favour and also the Grace of God upon their lives?

BISI AKANDE RESPONSE

That is very deep but let us look at it this way:

Favour and Grace is what a lot of People look for.

The Book of Titus talked about Grace that appeared to all men.

The Bible says God will surround His People with Favour as a shield.

But when you see: A man who is diligent in his business; that Person will be found in the Presence of kings.

So, Diligence in my own view is going to actually mix with Grace and Favour to take you to where you are supposed to be.

And I want to correct this, I have seen quite a number of People who are very diligent and I have worked with them. And there are other People who think Probably you can jump to life – Somebody just Pushed me or Prayer was said. Diligence is very very important.

When you look at the life of David in the Bible – How did he know that he needed five (5) stones? How did he know how to sling the stone and the stone went directly to the head and not the belly?

That is Diligence!

.. And Diligence simply means Paying attention to details.

People who don’t Pay attention to details are detained in life.

Any Young Person without Diligence can Pray all the Prayers he want to Pray but he will be detained.

MODERATOR

Now to Predestination in Success – Some People are called to be in the Spheres of Politics and all of that.

So, how important is Predestination in achieving Success?

BISI AKANDE RESPONSE

The Book of Romans tells us that those He (God) called He Predestinated.

Now, when we look at “Calling”; People believed that somebody is called and this is just it.

Remember the story our father in the lord told us about two (2) People.

One was told that he will be great and the other will not. The one that was told would be great went away and begin to sleep daily because he got a “Predestination”. The other one who was told will not be great went back home and started working and at the end of the day his Destiny was turned around.

I agreed that God called us into certain Places but you must understand that your “Eventual Destination” is not your Destiny but what you determined to do with the Destination!

So, you are going to walk into that Place by doing the things you are supposed to do as a Person.

But if you don’t do those things; you are likely to miss what has been Predestined.

God “Calls” but you must be able to make your “Calling and Election” sure as Young People.

MODERATOR

Mervin Azeta, As an Energy Saver working with Energy Company, are you Predestined to do what you are doing right now?

MERVIN AZETA RESPONSE

I must say this that whatever your hand finds to do, do it very well.

I can’t say that I saw in a Vision that I’m going to work in the Energy Industry.

But one thing is sure that you can always find Purpose around what you are doing and be diligent.

Ensure you do it well and to the Glory of God.

It is a balanced blend of Grace, Favour and Diligence and you need it to work.

You need to make sure that whatever you are doing you are doing it right and you are doing it well for the Glory of God.
