OPENING PRAYER
Ancient of Days, we worship You. The Holy One of Israel, we bow before You.
We Thank You for all the Blessings of January, we Thank You for February, we Thank You specially Lord for the Special Holy Ghost Service.
We Thank You that thus far that You have helped us Lord – Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.
We want to Thank You Lord especially for our Period of Waiting on You – Thank You that You have seen us through. Please accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
All the Request of Your Children, my Father and my God turn them to Testimonies now. Beginning from this moment now; Mighty Testimonies resulting from Waiting on You; let them begin to come forth on Your Children.
Thank You Almighty God.
For in Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
We want to continue with our Study on: Going Higher and this time, we are going to Part 11.
Our Bible Text will be 1 Kings 17: 7-9:
- And it came to pass after a while, that the Brook dried up, because there had been no rain in the land.
8 And the Word of the LORD came unto him, saying,
9 Arise, get thee to Zarephath, which belongeth to Zidon, and dwell there: behold, I have commanded a Widow woman there to sustain thee.
You know the Story from the Beginning – Elijah went before King Ahab and made a decree: As the Lord God of Israel liveth; before whom I Stand; there will be No Dew or Rain these days except for according to my word.
And then God told him: Get thee hence; go to the Brook Cherith, Stay there. I have commanded the Ravens to bring you food and you shall drink of the Brook.
And so Elijah obeyed; went to the Brook Cherith, the Ravens came regularly without fail – Morning and Evening, bringing food – Bread and Flesh to Elijah.
And then suddenly, the Brook dried up.
What happens when you are in the Place of Obedience and suddenly trouble comes?
Because it was God who told Elijah: Go to the Brook Cherith, drink the water there.
… And now all of a sudden, the Brook dried up!
It was God who told Paul through a Vision – When suddenly He came and said: Hey, come here over to Macedonia and help us.
He arrived in Macedonia, he began to Preach, he casted out a demon from a girl and landed in Jail.
What do you do when you are in a Place of Obedience and trouble comes?
Well, if you take the example of Paul that we just mentioned; it means something is going to take you Higher.
But let us go back to our Bible Text now because the Brook dried up as a result of No Rain.
So, who caused the trouble?
Elijah now – He is the one who Prayed No Rain. He decreed No Rain at all these days until I called for Rain.
Anyone who wants to go Higher must learn some very serious Lessons before ‘Going Higher” – And many of these Lessons are to be learnt from “The Brook dried Up”
So, we will take only a bit of those Lessons today and then we will continue next Sunday (21st March, 2021).
You see; the Bible says clearly in Ecclesiastes 8:4 – Where the word of the King is, there is Power.
The Higher you go; the more Powerful your words will become!
If nobody knows you; you can say what you like – Nobody is going to Pay attention. The moment you begin to rise; then your words will begin to carry Power.
Meaning what?
- Be careful what you Pray!
It is the Man (Elijah) who Prayed: Let there be No Rain and now, there is No Rain and now the Brook dried up.
I. Whether you believed it or not; God hears Prayers.
Psalms 65:2 says: Oh thou that heareth Prayers; unto thee shall all flesh come.
… God hears Prayers – So don’t think that we are joking when we are Praying. Every Prayer you Pray, God hears.
Now, I have always wondered: How is He able to hear everybody Praying?
For example; you come to the Convention at the Redemption Camp and a couple of Millions of People are crying at the same time.
How does God knows?
I tried to wonder when I was a Younger Christian how big are His (God) Ears? Until I realised how big are His (God) Legs.
The Bible says that He (God) is seated in Heaven and His feet are on the Earth.
And a little bit of Mathematics will tell you that those Legs must be very long!
And if the Legs and the Ears are always in Proportion; then you have a rough idea how big are His (God) Ears.
… He hears all Prayers and He will hear you today – Amen.
II. But not only does He hears Prayers; He answers Prayers.
Jeremiah 33:3 says: Call unto Me and I will answer you.
Not “I May”; “I Will” answer you.
He hears Prayers, He answers Prayers – Particularly those of us who are His Children.
If you are doing the Will of God; He hears your Prayers, He answers them.
In fact He says in Job 22:28 – He said you shall decree a thing and it shall be established unto you.
The moment it comes out of your mouth; Power comes!
I mean for example: In 2 Kings 5: 20-27; Elisha said to Gehazi – Because you have lied against me, because you have gone to Naaman to collect something. You said you wanted something and you collect something; let me tell you more: The Leprosy of Naaman shall cleave unto you and unto thy Seeds forever.
The Bible said: Immediately, he was covered in Leprosy as White as snow.
… The Higher you go, the more Powerful will become what you Pray.
- Beware what you say (Not when you Pray now) even when you have said it casually.
That is why it is a dangerous thing for a Man who wants to grow Spiritually to be a Talkative!
Learn my Beloveth children – Try and learn from me.
And I’m saying this with all Humility: Learn to keep your mouth shut. Don’t be a Talkative. If you want to talk, talk in Prayers to God.
Because in Matthew 12:36; the Bible says that every “Idle Words” that you speak, you are going to give an account of it on the “Day of Judgment” including the ones you said in Jokes.
Why? – Numbers 14:28, the Bible says God said: As you have spoken in my ears, so will I do unto you.
And He is listening – So, as you are speaking, He is Hearing and He says as I hear, so will I do.
Isaiah 65:24 says: Before you call; I will answer.
That is dangerous – You just say it casually and He hears and as He hears, He goes into Action.
I mean I have told you the Story that once upon a time – My children were very little then and we were going for “Lets-Go-A-Fishing” and as we were going, we saw a Sign Board that says: “Turkey for Sale”.
And I said to my children: Do you know that I have never had Turkey for Christmas?
I just said it casually and we continued with our “Lets-Go-A-Fishing”. I never even thought about it at all and I didn’t know that God was listening.
I came back from the “Lets-Go-A-Fishing” and there are three (3) Turkeys waiting for me at home.
The following Sunday, I went to Church and I began to brag to the People – You know I got three (3) Turkeys for Christmas but this is not an Invitation to dinner.
By the time I got back home; four (4) additional Turkeys had come.
… Be careful what you said casually because God hears!
- Be careful what you Vow because when you are making a Vow; you are speaking to God.
… God I will do the following for you – And He hears, He Pays attention.
For example; Ecclesiastes 5:4 says: If you make a Vow to God; Pay it because God has not interest in Fools.
… You make a Vow to God; Please don’t delay. He said because you make a Vow to Him, you delay in Paying because you are a Fool.
And you know who and who are in the categories of Fools!
The Bible says: A Fool is the one who says there is no God.
… And surely you don’t want to find yourself in that category.
In Psalms 50: 14-15; the Bible says: You offer Thanksgiving unto God, you Pay your Vows; then you call on Him in the Day of Trouble and He will answer you.
Do you know the implications of that?
If trouble comes and you are crying unto Him; when there are Vows that you have not Paid, you might just be wasting your time.
This might show some of us why some of our Prayers has been delayed thus far
And I Pray that God will give you the Grace today to Pay every Vows that you have ever vowed to God because the moment you make a Vow; He hears and He takes Note.
I remembered very well when I was a Younger Christian – You know I used to struggle with Malaria Fever. Malaria Fever will knock me down at least once a Month – Which was a very terrible thing for a Man who is a Sportsman.
So, after I became Born Again; I Prayed that Prayer casually – Father, heal me and I will serve You.
And He heard me and Malaria Fever disappeared.
In a couple of Years, He came and said: Okay now, I have fulfilled my Part of the bargain; it is now your time to fulfill yours.
That day; I wished I had said: Heal me and I will Praise You.
… Be careful what you Vow because He hears.
- Be careful what you Think because He knows even your Thoughts.
Even those things that you are thinking about that you did not say out; He knows!
In Mark 2: 1-12 – When they brought that boy who was Paralysed from neck downwards before Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ said: Son, thy sins be forgiven thee.
The crowd there were thinking in their hearts – Who is this Man forgiving sins?
They didn’t say it out; they said it in their hearts but He heard.
Be careful what you Think – That is why it is essential for everyone who wants to “Go Higher” to have “Pure Thoughts”.
… Don’t allow “Impure Thoughts” to dwell in your heart because God is Listening!
The Bible says in Proverbs 23:7 – As a Man thinks, so he is.
Your Thoughts will shape your Life because out of the Abundance of the heart; the mouth speaks!
… God is Listening even to your Thoughts.
Proverbs 20:27 says: The Spirit of a Man is the Candle of the Lord; searching the Innermost Part of the Being.
There is a Spy living inside of you – Your Spirit is the Candle of the Lord.
Everything that you are thinking; that Spy is Passing the Message on unto the Almighty God.
1 Samuel 2:3 tells us that by Him Actions are weighed.
In other words; God is not only interested in what you do; but why are you doing it? What is your Motives?
… Beware of what you thinks!
In Job 3:25 – Job made a Statement that should be a Great Lesson to all of us.
He said: The things that I feared had happened to me.
Remember that I keep on telling you: Don’t be afraid.
There are some People who are afraid that Coronavirus is going to hit them – I hope that you are not one of them?
Those who are afraid, they don’t say it out – The fear is within.
If you are afraid, you are asking for trouble.
Tell the Almighty God that: I am no longer afraid!
Tell the Almighty God that no evil is going to happen to me.
Tell the Almighty God that I belong to You and You will take care of me.
Tell the Almighty God that He said in His Words that a thousand may fall by my Right; ten thousand may fall on my Left but no evil will come near me.
Tell the Almighty God that I’m not going to die with all those who are dying – I’m not going to be one of them.
… Because what you think may affect your future!
Now, let us move to another aspect of this Brook that dried up!
As soon as the Brook dried up; God spoke to Elijah – ARISE!
… That’s a beautiful word!
Because when you compare this with what He said to Him in 1 Kings 17: 2-3.
He said: “Get thee hence” – Move!
Here (In Verse 9); He is not just saying: “Get thee hence”; He says: “ARISE”.
“ARISE” means automatically: Move to a Higher Level.
In John 5: 2-9; when Jesus Christ was speaking to the Man who had been sick for thirty eight (38) Years.
- He said to him: Arise, Move out of Sickness to Health.
And that is a Message to somebody out there or reading now on the Label of DMC: Rightaway, in the Name that is above every other names; Arise out of Sickness – Amen!
In Mark 2: 1-12 that I referred to earlier on; the boy that was carried in through the roof; Jesus Christ said to him: Arise!
- Arise not just out of Sickness to Health – Arise so that you will no longer be carried. Arise so that you can now carry what carried you in.
So, those of you who has been Living your entire Life depending on others; today I say unto you: Arise – Amen; those who have been carrying you, you too will begin to carry them in Jesus Name – Amen!
In Mark 5: 35-43; when Jesus Christ was speaking to the daughter of Jairus that had died.
He said unto her: Little girl, I said unto you Arise!
What does that one mean?
- Move from death to Life!
In Luke 7: 11-16; when He spoke to the dead son of the Widow of Nain.
He said: Young Man, Arise!
- Not just come back to Life; cease to be a Source of sorrow; become a Living Testimony of the Miracle Working Power of God!
And I am saying to somebody here today or reading now on the Label of DMC; out of death become a Source of Joy – Arise
Which brings me to the Conclusion of this First Part – I will ask you a Big Question: Are you willing to Pray a Prayer today that will move you to a “Higher Level” even if it is going to cause you some discomfort
You see because Elijah Prayed: Let there be No Rain and then the Brook dried up. But from the Brook dried up now, he is beginning to Arise.
In 2 Kings 2: 9-15; Elisha Prayed a dangerous Prayer – He said: I want a “Double Portion” of your Spirit Elijah and God granted his request.
But by the time we get to 2 Kings 6: 8-23; you discovered that as a result of that Prayer – Whereas his own father (Elijah) when he ran foul of the King; the King sent only fifty (50) Soldiers and a Captain. But because this boy asked for something Higher, when the King wanted to arrest him, he sent a whole Army.
… The Higher you go, the greater might be the Challenges.
Are you still willing to say: God take me Higher? Move me to a Higher Level?
I will be giving you an opportunity to Pray in a moment.
ALTAR CALL
But in the meantime, those of you who are yet to surrender your Life to Jesus Christ; God is saying: ARISE!
He wants you to: Come out of sin and become saved; Come out of sin and come to Salvation; Come out of being a Servant to the devil and move into being the Servant of the Most High; Come out of darkness, come into the Light.
And my advice to every sinner, everyone who is not sure of his or her Salvation listening to me or reading now on the Label of DMC – Wherever you are and you want to Arise out of death into Life, out of Sickness into Health, out of Bondage into Freedom – If you will bow your head and cry unto Jesus Christ and say: I have come Lord; receive me; save my Soul and I will begin to do Your Will.
I will join my Faith with yours and Pray for your Salvation.
So wherever you are and you want to surrender your Life to Jesus Christ; even if you are in your room and you are listening to me or reading now on the Label of DMC – As a Sign to Jesus Christ that you are surrendering to Him; why don’t you just Stand on your feet. And if you are in a Church Settings, why don’t you just rise and go towards the Altar to show the Almighty God that you have heard His Invitation; you are accepting it and you are Arising.
I will Pray with you in a moment and the Almighty God will safe your Soul.
And those of us who are already Children of the Living God; Please why don’t you intercede for all those who are arising now and Pray that the Almighty God will receive them and save their Souls and give them Genuine Salvation.
Thank You my Father.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God; I want to bless Your Holy Name for Your Words.
I want to Thank You for those People who has heard Your Words and are arising and saying now: I want to come out of sin, I want to come into Salvation.
Please Lord, receive them, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins and receive them into the Family of God. And Please Lord God Almighty write their names in the Book of Life and let them begin to enjoy the Light of the Almighty God.
Anytime they call on you now, Father Please answer them by Fire.
And Please Lord God Almighty; those of you who are already Your Children; in a moment we will be crying unto you – Telling You Lord that we want to Pray that we may go Higher even if it will lead us into some discomfort.
Please, as they cry unto you; answer them in Jesus Name.
Thank You my Father and my God.
