Wherever you are, lift up your voice and begin to bless the Name of the Lord:

The King of kings and the Lord of lords. The One that is and is to come.

Bless His Name and give Him Praise!

OPENING PRAYER

Nkong Kong Abasi (Great God). Otobo Obogho (Called and be Saved). Ofori Eyere (The One Who Answers when Called). Lion ke Essien Judah (Lion of the Tribe of Judah). Edidem mme ndidem (King of kings). Uyaya Abasi (Glorious God). Anam Akpaniko (Truthful One). Anam Ikpo Nkpo (The Great Worker). Ime ino Fi ekom (We Praise You Lord). Ime ino Fi ukpono (We Honour You Lord)!

… LIFT UP YOUR VOICE WHEREVER YOU ARE!

Lord, we Exalt Your Name! Thank You El-Shaddai. Blessed be Your Name oh Lord.In the Name of Jesus!

Father, as we want to hear Your Word; let the entrance of Your Words bring forth Light.

And let it illuminate every heart and mind in the Name of Jesus!

Thank You Lord for answered Prayers.

For in Jesus’ Awesome Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Can somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Beloved, the Topic for today is: GOD BLESS YOU – PART 3 (I WILL LIFT UP MY EYES).

And by the Grace of God, before going into the Word today, I want to use this opportunity to celebrate our esteem Mother-in-the-Lord, Mummy G.O. And our dear Father-in-the-Lord, Daddy G.O.

Daddy Thank You for this wonderful opportunity to bring the Word. You will live long, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

And I will be taking my Text from the Book of Psalms 121:1-4:

1 I will lift up mine eyes unto the Hills, from whence cometh my Help.

2 My Help cometh from the Lord, which made Heaven and Earth.

3 He will not suffer thy foot to be moved: he that keepeth thee will not slumber.

4 Behold, he that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.

Hallelujah! – “He that keepeth Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep.”

God is our ever Present Help in times of Need – Psalms 46:1

Hence, our focus must always be on Him!

Infact, our beloved father-in-the-Lord is known as a man of Humility because he is totally dependent on the Lord.

So our Spiritual dependency is on God. Because in Him we live, in Him we move and have our being – You can see that in Acts 17:28

In Psalms 121:1, the Bible says: “I will lift up mine eyes unto the Hills, from whence cometh my Help.”

And so by the Grace of God, I will like to use David as a case Study for the Word I’m taking today.

When David lifted his eyes unto the Hills, he was not just seeing the Physical aspect of it; it had a Spiritual connotation.

Infact, lifting up your eyes is function of Divine Vision.

And so,I want to use the acronym ‘HILLS’ today.

1. I will start with the first letter which is Letter ‘H’.

David lifted up his eyes unto the Hills.

Letter ‘H’ stands for HOPE; it also stand for HELP.

David lifted up his eyes because he HOPED in the Lord:

I. Because his trust was in God;

II. Because, his Total Assurance, Confidence and God’s Faithfulness was evident.

So he has nothing else to do, than to lift up his eyes unto the Hills which was his Hope.

And because Hope attract a lot of things. For example, Hope attract Blessing and Peace.

Jeremiah 17:7 says: “Blessed is the man that trusteth in the Lord, and whose hope the Lord is.”

Hope attract Mercy – Psalms 147:11 says: “The Lord taketh Pleasure in them that fear him, in those that hope in His Mercy.”

David lifted up his eyes unto the Hills as his Source of Hope.

… Where do you lift up your eyes to?

Not just Hope; it was a Place of HELP for David.

I. That was why David, a Shepherd Boy could become the King of Israel.

II. Joseph could move from the Pit to Potiphar’s house; from there to the Prison and finally to the Palace.

III. Esther as slave girl could ascend the Throne and become a Queen.

The reason God is keeping you alive is because He still has Plan for you.

And if God still has Plans for you, then be sure, they are Good Plans – Jeremiah 29:11

2. The second (2nd) Letter is ‘I’ – which stands for INTIMACY.

David lifted his eyes unto the Place of Intimacy – A Place of closeness with God, a Place of friendship, a Place of unconditional acceptance, a Place where he could be catered for, a Place where he would be known, understood and loved for who he is.

Isaiah 26:1-3 says: “In that day shall this song be sung in the land of Judah; We have a Strong City; Salvation will God appoint for walls and bulwarks. Open ye the gates, that the righteous Nation which keepeth the Truth may enter in. Thou wilt keep him in Perfect Peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee.”

The Souls that is lifted up unto the Hills have recognized their emptiness without God.

You may have a nice house, have nice cars and even live in the best apartment; but without Christ you are empty.

No wonder our Beloved father-in-the-Lord when Ministering will say: “My Daddy say….”

… That is as a result of Intimacy with God.

He has a relationship, he has this closeness with the Father; hence, he could hear from the Lord.

Relationship with God is built in the Place of Intimacy.

3. The Third (3rd) Letter is ‘L’ – Which stands for “LOVE”.

David lifted up his eyes to the Place where Love is, to a Place where Love dwells.

… And the Place can only be Zion.

It is a Place where “Undiluted Love” is found – Love not mixed with feelings, not mixed with hatred. It is not mixed with hypocrisy.

Lamentation 3:22-23 the Bible says: “It is of the Lord’s Mercies that we are not consumed, because his compassions fail not. They are New every morning: great is thy Faithfulness.”

And that is why Apostle Paul said in Romans 8:37-39:
“Nay, in all these things we are more than Conquerors through Him that loves us.”

I. And so, Victory belongs to us, through Christ who loved us.

II. Prosperity belongs to us, through Christ who loved us.

III. Dominion belongs to us, through Christ who loved us.

IV. Blessing belongs to us through Christ who loved us!

God’s Love is revealed in His Son, Jesus Christ.

… And so David looked into that Love.

4. The Fourth (4th) Letter is ‘L’ – Which stands for “LEARN”.

The Hills is a Place of Learning, it’s a Place of acquiring Knowledge; seeking the Counsel of the Lord; seeking the Wisdom of the Lord!

So, David lifted up his eyes to the Place where he can Learn.

Sir/Ma: “When you stop Learning, you start dying.

And so that was why David lifted up his eyes to the Hills:

I. A Place where God can Chasten him.

II. A Place where God can Correct him.

III. A Place where God can show him the Way.

Hebrews 12:2 says: “Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith; who for the Joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God.”

… It was a Place to Learn.

5. The last Letter is ‘S’ – Which stands for “SAFETY”; it stands for “SECURITY”; and it stands for “SALVATION”.

There is no Safety in life, there is no Security in life, and there is no Salvation in life except through Jesus Christ.

David lifted up his eyes unto the Place of Safety.

In the midst of insecurity, he lifted up his eyes to the Place where Security is assured.

He lifted up his eyes where there is Salvation.

ALTAR CALL

And so today: For God to bless you, you have a Part to Play because his Blessings are for His Children.

And what is the Part you need to Play? – You need to Lift Up your eyes unto Him:

I. Who is the Author and the Finisher of our Faith.

II. Who is our Source, our Hope, our Place of Intimacy.

I want to encourage you to surrender totally to God today, as your Lord and Personal Saviour.

I like us to Pray!

Lift your voice and cry out to God and say:

Father, I choose to lift up my eyes unto You because it is in You, that my Hope dwells; it is in You I have found Intimacy; it is in You, I have found Love; it is in You, I can Learn from; it is in You, I have found Safety, Security and Salvation.

CLOSING PRAYER

Father, we bless Your Name for ALL Your sons and daughters.

Wherever they are gathered (and reading now on the Label of DMC); we Pray, that their Hope and Trust in You, will never be disappointed.

You will meet them at the very Point of their Needs:

You will Heal the sick, You will raise the dead and You will Provide for us Safety in the midst of Insecurity, in the midst of Diseases and Pandemic.

For in Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen! Amen!! Amen!!!
