OPENING PRAYER

God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Israel; we bless Your Holy Name.

We Thank You for all You have done for us all these Years. Thank You Lord because You are still there as our Supporter.

Please Lord, accept our Worship in Jesus Name.

Today, as we continue with our Series; we Your Children are Calling on You and we say fight our battles for us and give us “Complete Victory”.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Well, wave to one (1) or two (2) People and say: Good Day; God Bless You – Amen!

As we continue with our Series: GOING HIGHER – PART 29.

If you want to give it a Sub Title; you want to call it: “THE GOD OF ABRAHAM, ISAAC AND JACOB”.

And our Bible Text will be: 1 Kings 18:36.

And it came to Pass at the time of the Offering of the Evening Sacrifice, that Elijah the Prophet came near, and said, LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, let it be known this day that thou art God in Israel, and that I am thy Servant, and that I have done all these things at thy Word.

In the Olden Days; People were afraid to call God by His Name – The Name of God was so Precious and Fearful that they find it very difficult to Call Him by His Name.

When you hear names like: Yahweh, Jehovah et cetera et cetera; they hesitate to Call Him by His Name and so they looked for Alternatives.

And one of the Alternatives is to Call Him: “The God of Abraham, God of Isaac and God of Jacob.

Here we find Elijah wanting to Pray and we have a lot to learn from this Verse.

As a matter of fact; we can’t finish this Verse (1 Kings 18:36) today – We will continue the next Sunday time of Study if the Lord tarries (12th September, 2021).

And one of the Most important Thing to learn here is the fact that you don’t just go to God and begin to command Him without first of all worshipping Him first – You have to worship Him; you have to eulogise Him.

The Bible says that: I will enter His Gates with Thanksgiving and enter His Courts with Praise.

So, don’t just go in there and begin to command Him!

Even when you are entering into the Presence of Somebody who is Important; you are saying: Your Majesty, Your Excellency or Your Eminence et cetera et cetera – So, how much more, the Maker of Heaven and Earth?

So, Elijah Presented his Prayers by starting with: The Lord God of Abraham, of Isaac and of Jacob.

… That is the bit we are going to look at today!

1. WHO IS THE GOD OF ABRAHAM?

I. Well, if you read Genesis 12: 1-3; you will noticed first and foremost that: He is a God of Choice.

There were lots of People in the City where Abraham was but God just Picked Abraham.

God just said to Abraham: Abraham, of all the People here, I have decided to focus My attention on you.

I’m Praying today that the God that I served will focus His attention on you – Amen!

… He is a God of Choice!

In John 15:16; Jesus Christ said: You have not Chosen Me but I have Chosen you.

II. You noticed that: He is a God of Surprise.

Because Abraham was just minding his own Business when God surprised him.

And say: Hey Abraham, you are about to do something New – You are getting out of here and I’m taking you to somewhere you don’t even know.

In Isaiah 43:19; He said: Behold, I will do a New Thing.

I Pray that God will give you a “Pleasant Surprise” this Sunday or as you read on the Label of DMC – Amen

III. You noticed that: He is a God of Blessings.

… Abraham, I will bless you!

And Proverbs 10:22 says that: The Blessings of the Lord maketh rich and added no sorrows.

Abraham was Nothing when God called him and it wasn’t long when he became something because God is a God of Blessings.

I on behalf of my Father in Heaven Pronounce to you listening to me today or reading now on the Label of DMC: “GOD BLESS YOU” – Amen!

IV. He is a God of Greatness.

He said to Abraham: I will make you to be Great.

Oh; David said in Psalms 18:35 – He said: Oh Lord, it is Your Gentleness that has made me Great.

If you will ever become Great in this world; you owe it to God!

And as the Lord lives; as you continue to serve this same God, this Holy One of Israel; you will become Great – Amen!

V. And then He went on to say to Abraham – He said: You are going to be a Blessing.

… He said: I will bless all those who bless you!

He is a God of “Overflowing Blessings”.

When He blesses you; He will bless you Overflowingly.

You know the Story in Luke 5: 1-7?

When God blessed Peter; he caught so much fish that it overflowed into Other People’s boat.

VI. And then He went on to say: I will bless those who blesses you; I will curse those who curses you.

He is a God who is a Defender of His Own.

The moment you become His Own; anyone who tries to fight you will be fighting God.

Because He said; Those who bless you, I will bless them; those who curse you; you don’t have to answer; God will take over from there.

You know Proverbs 26:27 says: Those who dig a Pit will fall into it themselves; if they roll a stone, it will roll back to them.

… That is the Promise of God – It is written in the Bible and Nothing we can argue about it!

VII. And He is a God who is a Lover of the Whole world.

And I want to remind you of a Promise He made Particularly early this Year (2021) concerning The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) as a Church.

He said that The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) belongs to Me (God). I can take care of My Own and I will take care of My Own!

… Don’t forget that He has spoken it and it is Settled!

PROPHECIES FOR RCCG FOR YEAR 2021.

1. The Redeemed Christian Church of God is His Own and He can take care of His Own. He will take care of His Own.
2. The Almighty God says: There is a New Wave of Glory coming.
3. It doesn’t matter what is happening in the whole world, this Year is going to be: “Your Year of Restoration”.

The Restoration will be in three Categories:

I. Slow and Steady.

II. Fast and Steady.

III. Rapid, Very Rapid and Exceedingly Rapid.

We will be fasting for 63 days, in three (3) Phases of 21 days each.

I. The First (1st) of 21 days beginning January 11, you will do nothing except Thanksgiving.

II. The Second (2nd) 21 days, you will do nothing other than “Call for Mercy”, for yourself, your family, The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), and for your Nation.

III. The Last 21 days, you are free to Pray the “Prayer of Demand”; for yourself, your family, your Church (Whereby you will Demand for Growth, Expansion, Supernatural Provisions, Anointing, Miracles, Signs and Wonders).

You will Pray the Prayer of Demand for your Nation, for Healings (Physical, Economic and Political).

If you don’t want to fast on a daily basis and you want to fast continuously, each Segment of 21 days can be done 12 days continuously.

If you want to do all the 63 days in the continuous fashion, it is 30 days continuously.

Now, He is a Lover of the Whole world because He said to Abraham: I am not just Blessing you for your own sake only – Through you shall the Whole world be blessed.

The Bible tells us in John 3:16 – For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son that whosoever believeth on Him should not Perish but have Everlasting Life.

Do you know who is that “Begotten Son” that He gave?

Matthew 1:1 says that: Jesus the Son of Abraham

Look at it there – The Promise that He made to Abraham; He fulfilled it in Jesus Christ!

VIII. He is the One who is a Name Changer – He Changes name.

Genesis 17: 1-5 and 15 – He Changed the name of Abram to Abraham and Sarai to Sarah.

The God of Abraham is the One who will Change whatever that is in your Life that is hindering your Destiny from being Fulfilled.

He said to Abraham: Hey, we are calling you Abram, we will Change your name to Abraham so that you can become what I want you to become.

We will Change the name of your wife from Sarai to Sarah.

I Pray for everyone of you whose names are working against you that: God Himself will inspire you today to Change that name – Amen!

Oh you may say: What is in a Name?

Like one Poet said: A Rose called by any other name would smell as Sweet.

… That is what the Poet said.

DMC NOTES: ABOUT THE QUOTE OF THE POET IN REFERENCE

A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME

ORIGIN OF A ROSE BY ANY OTHER NAME

The Real Origin of this Phrase is Unknown, but it is said that it was coined by William Shakespeare.

In Act-II, Scene-II of Shakespeare’s Play: Romeo and Juliet. Juliet says this Phrase in reference to family, and the family name of Romeo.

She says, “What’s in a name? That which we call a rose / By Any Other Name would smell as sweet”.

This implies that his family name has Nothing to do with their love, and they should be together.

Since Capulets and Montagues hate each other, love is forbidden merely due to these names.

The importance of a Person or thing is the way it is; not because of what it is called.

Simply, it means the names of things cannot affect what they actually are.

This line is, in fact, very Profound, suggesting that a name is just a label to distinguish one thing from another. It neither has any worth, nor gives true meaning. Only an individual or thing has a worth when it deserves it – For example, even if we call a rose by an entirely different name, it would smell the same as it does by its name “rose.”

Likewise, Juliet links this with Romeo, that his name is just a label, and that he would stay the same for her.

This Phrase is very common is Poetry and everyday Life.

For instance, Poets and lovers call their beloveds by different names, like Rose, Lily, and Shinning Star.

Usually People name their Pets with human names and many other names.

It is used in birthday or celebratory speeches to flatter the Person that he is Praiseworthy.

It can be used in awards ceremonies to call Legends and Keynote Speakers.

However, it is best used with its conjoined sentence, “What is in a name’.

Juliet says this Phrase in lines 43-44, Act-II, Scene-II of Romeo and Juliet.

This Phrase implies Shakespeare’s belief that a name means very little, but the Individual’s worth counts.

Juliet is trying to argue that, though Romeo is from a rival’s house and named Montague, it does not matter to her, as long as they both love each other.

The idea of this line is love, beauty, and family names.

In this line, Juliet talks to herself, rehearsing that Romeo’s family is a meaningless and an artificial convention.

She loves him as a Person not due to his family name, Montague.

Out of his love for Juliet, Romeo rejects the name of his family, and vows as Juliet’s lover, as she asks him to be “New Baptized” and “deny (his) father.”

In fact, this line encapsulates the tragedy and central struggle of the entire Play.

Search the Scriptures; the name of Moses means: “Drawn Out of the Water”.

Watch the History of Moses and you will see Water, Water, Water:

A. Changing Water to Blood.

B. Opening the Red Sea.

C. Making Bitter Water Sweet.

D. And when he failed to get to the Promised Land!

… Why? – Water!

IX. We are talking about the One who rules by Decrees.

… That is the God of Abraham!

Genesis 18: 9-14 – He is the One who has been Promising Abraham: You are going to be the father of many Nations.

He said: Hey, Nine (9) Months from now; Sarah will have a son.

… He Change Prophesies to Decrees!

I Pray for everyone of you who had been expecting the Fulfillment of one Promise or the other; may that Promise become a Decree today – Amen!

X. Who is the God of Abraham?

He is the God who can reverse the Irreversible; the Unchangeable Changer.

Romans 4:19 says that when God was speaking to Abraham that Sarah was going to have a son; the womb of Sarah was dead.

Dead Wombs don’t Produce but not with God!

The God of Abraham can make dead wombs come back to Life – He can reverse the Irreversible!

XI. Who is the God of Abraham?

The God of Abraham is the Great Provider.

Genesis 22: 7-14 – Isaac said to his father: Daddy, we are going to worship God – I can see the knife, I can see the wood, I can see the Fire; where is the Lamb?

The father said: God will Provide!

… And He sure did.

I Pray that every Needs of yours will be met today in Jesus Name – Amen

XII. The God of Abraham is the God of Generational Blessings.

He is the God who will not bless the father and leave the son alone.

In Genesis 22: 15-18; God changed what He said in Genesis 12: 1-3.

In Genesis 12: 1-3 – He said: Abraham, through you shall the whole Earth be blessed.

In Genesis 22: 15-18 – He said: Through your Seeds, I transfer the Blessings to your Seeds.

The God of Generational Blessings – That is the God of Abraham

2. And also: He is The God Of Isaac.

WHO IS THE GOD OF ISAAC?

I. The God of Laughter.

… That is the meaning of Isaac.

Genesis 21: 1-6 – The mother of Isaac says: God has made me to laugh and everyone who hears will laugh with me.

I Pray that from now on in the Name that is above every other names: You will never know sorrow again – Amen.

God will fill your Life with Laughter: Laughter that others will laugh with you – Amen.

God of Laughter? – Are you saying that God laughs?

Psalms 2: 1-4 tells us that: Don’t worry, let the People in the Earth continue to make their Plots against the Child of God – He said that the One who sits in the Heavens shall laugh!

You know – When I became the General Overseer; we are living in that Era when the Teaching around then was that if you are a “True Christian”; you must look serious all the time.

… Thank God that we have learnt a little more now!

Now, I remembered those days at Ebute Metta (National Headquarters Parish of The RCCG) – When we are doing Sunday School Group by Group and I will be going round; watching everybody to make sure that things are going on Properly.

And I will leave my Office determined to be serious – General Overseer is coming and so everybody will be serious.

And as I will be going; I will see little children and I can’t resist them – Hello, my “Little Children” and I will laugh.

I will go back to my Office and say: Oh God, look at you (General Overseer) now; you are supposed to be serious.

Until God Himself showed me: Even Me your Father, I laugh!

… Oh, what a Deliverance!

I remembered one of my daughters came to me around that Period too when God delivered me from not having Laughter allowed in my Life.

She said: Daddy, what is the Problem: No Brother has come to me to say how now?

I said: My daughter, do you want to hear the Truth? – She said: Yes!

I said: If I am a Brother, I don’t think that I will come to you.

She said: Why? – I said that you are always looking morose; you are always looking as if you have just finished a fight.

… Smile – Begin to smile.

DMC NOTES: Morose means: Sullen and ill-tempered.

She was shocked and all of a sudden; she smiled – And low and behold, I didn’t even know that this Girl was beautiful because she was always frowning. I thought that she was ugly as she wanted to show that she is Holy.

Less than a Year later; she was Happily Married!

May the Almighty God Put smile on your face – Amen!

… That is the God of Isaac – The God of Laughter!

II. He is the God of “First Fruit Sacrifice”.

Genesis 22: 1-2 – God said to Abraham: Take your son Isaac, your only son; offer him as an Offering to Me.

John 3:16 says: For God so loved the world that He gave His Only Begotten Son.

That is why He Promised in Proverbs 3: 9-10 – He says: Honour Me with your First Fruit and of course of your Increase and see what I will do.

Like I shared with you before – God gave His Only Begotten Son so that He can become the First many Brethrens! – He sacrificed His Only Son and today He has more children than the world can count!

III. He is the God of The Living Sacrifice and the God of Total Surrender..

Because when Isaac got to the Mountaintop with his father; the father decided to bind him on the Altar but Isaac didn’t struggle with him – He simply surrendered!

And you know what? – God spared hiis Life!

… God is the God of Living Sacrifice.

Romans 12:1 – He expects you to be a Living Sacrifice – Totally Surrendered to God: In Living, in Dead; I’m yours Lord!

IV. The God of Isaac is the God of Multiplication.

In the same Genesis 22: 15-18 – God said to Abraham: In Blessings I will bless you but in Multiplying, I will Multiply your Seed (Isaac).

It will interest you to know that Isaac was the first one to have a Set of Twins in the Bible – Genesis 25: 21-26.

So, I decree to all my children who are Trusting God for the Fruit of the womb: Get ready for Twins in Jesus Name – Amen!

And the Bible Promised in Isaiah 61:7 – God Promises you double for your trouble.

He said: For your Shame; you will receive Double (Compensation).

V. Who is the God of Isaac?

The God of Isaac is the One that rewards Obedience.

In Genesis 26: 1-6 – The Almighty God told Isaac: Don’t leave this Land, Stay here when there was famine in the Land – And he (Isaac) obeyed.

… And that is why God Prospered him in the Land.

Isaiah 1:19 – The Bible says that: If you are Willing and Obedient; you will eat the Good of the Land.

VI. Who is the God of Isaac?

The God of Isaac is the God of Harvest – Of Hundredfold Harvest.

Genesis 26:12 – Isaac sowed in the Land and reap in the same Year an Hundredfold.

VII. Who is the God of Isaac?

He is the God of “Continuos Increase”; “Continuos Greatness”.

Genesis 26: 12-14 – Isaac sowed in the Land; reap an Hundredfold in the first (1st) Year and then he wax Great and he went forward and grew until he became “Very Great”.

… That is the God of Isaac!

3. And He is also the God of Jacob.

WHO IS THE GOD OF JACOB?

I. The God of Jacob is the God of Covenant Keeping God.

In Genesis 28: 10-16 – The Bible tells us that when Jacob was running away from his brother Esau and he got to a Place, tired and slept.

God appeared to him and said: I am God of your father Abraham and the Promise that I made to Abraham I will fulfill in you.

He (God) ignored what Jacob had just done because of His Covenant with his father (Abraham).

… He (God) is a Covenant Keeping God!

II. He is the God of Transformation.

In Genesis 32: 24-28 – He Changed the name of Jacob to Israel; transformed him from being a Cheater to a Prince!

III. He is a God who is the Unchangeable Changer – The God who can Change death to Life; who can Change enemy to friend.

In Genesis 27:41 – Esau Promised as soon as my father dies; I will kill my Brother.

But because after the encounter Jacob had with God in Genesis Chapter 32; by the time we get to Genesis 33: 1-4 – When the same Brother was coming to kill him (Esau coming to kill Jacob); he embraced him and kissed him.

God Changed death for Life for Jacob; Changed enemy to friend for Jacob.

Whatever God has to change so that you become what God wants you to become; may it be done today or as you read on the Label of DMC in Jesus Name – Amen.

So who is the God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob?

He is the Great Deliverer – Exodus 3: 1-10

He said to Moses: I have come to deliver Israel – Tell them that I am the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, the God of Jacob.

… He is the Great Deliverer!

What is the Conclusion:

Galatians 3:29 says that: If you are a Christian; then you are of the Seed of Abraham!

Meaning what?

If you are a Christian; every Blessings that God Pronounced on Abraham are yours; every Blessings that God Pronounced on Isaac are yours; every Blessings that God Pronounced on Jacob are yours.

If you are not a Christian; then you don’t know what you are missing!

ALTAR CALL

Which is why of course I’m going to give you an opportunity straightaway: Change your Ways, Surrender to Jesus Christ and then you too can claim to be of the Seed of Abraham – And Abraham Blessings shall be yours!

Shall we Pray?

So, if you are listening to me or reading now on the Label of DMC and you want to surrender your Life to Jesus Christ today; I will Pray with you – The Lord will save your Soul and you will become the Seed of Abraham.

So, if you will Call on Him now and ask Him to Please have Mercy on you and save your Soul and receive you into the Family of God – Family of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob; He will grant your Request now!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

Almighty God; I want to Thank You once again for Your Words and I want to Thank You: God of Abraham, God of Isaac, God of Jacob because You Promised and I know that You are a Promise Keeper.

That whosoever will come unto You; You will no wise cast out.

All those who has decided to come to You today: Please receive them, save their Souls, write their names in the Book of Life, let them become Part of Your Family.

And Lord God Almighty, I Pray not only for those who are giving their lives to You now but for those of us who has already given our lives to You and are sincerely Serving You – Every Blessings of Abraham, Please give unto us.

The Promise of “Overflowing Blessings”; Promise of Greatness; the Promise of being a Blessing to the Whole world; the Promise of blessings those who bless us and cursing those who curse us – All these Blessings Lord God Almighty, begin to fulfill in our lives today.

Thank You my Father and my God.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

I Promise you that from now by God’s Grace; I will be Praying for you.
