OPENING PRAYER

Father Almighty; the Alpha and the Omega – We give You all the Glory.

We Thank You for all You have done here, we Thank You for what You will do today.

Our Saviour, our Healer, our Deliverer, our Provider, the One who is Wonderful; today Glorify Your Name.

Please save Souls, heal the Sick, set the Captives Free, Perform Wonders, meet all our Needs, let our Joy overflow, let this Day mark a New Beginning.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Well, let someone shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Well you may shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and say: God Bless You!

And then you may Please be seated.

1 Samuel 16: 1 and 10-13:

1. And the LORD said unto Samuel, How long wilt thou mourn for Saul, seeing I have rejected him from reigning over Israel? Fill thine horn with oil, and go, I will send thee to Jesse the Bethlehemite: for I have Provided me a King among his sons.

10 Again, Jesse made seven of his sons to Pass before Samuel. And Samuel said unto Jesse, The LORD hath not chosen these.

11 And Samuel said unto Jesse, Are here all thy children? And he said, There remaineth yet the youngest, and, behold, he keepeth the sheep. And Samuel said unto Jesse, Send and fetch him: for we will not sit down till he come hither.

12 And he sent, and brought him in. Now he was ruddy, and withal of a beautiful countenance, and Goodly to look to. And the LORD said, Arise, anoint him: for this is he.

13 Then Samuel took the horn of oil, and anointed him in the midst of his Brethren: and the Spirit of the LORD came upon David from that day forward. So Samuel rose up, and went to Ramah.

I never Preached a Sermon without Praying – I learnt my Lesson a long time ago that when you Prepare a very Good Sermon using every known Methods but you don’t Pray; you will soon discovered that the Letter killeth and that it is the Spirit that gives Life.

You Preach your “Beautiful Sermon”; People will clap and shout but by the time they get outside and somebody said what happened? – Oh, the Preacher Preached a “Good Sermon”. What did he say? – I am not quite sure if I remembered.

But when God chooses the Topic; even by the time you are reading the Bible Text; Miracles will begin!

God Himself choose the Bible Text for today and also everybody who had spoke earlier had already said what I wanted to say.

That for someone: Today is your Day – Amen!

You see, when a New Day comes; how will you know?

From the Story that I read to you; there are certain things that will show you that this is my Day!

1. God will send you a Prophet.

Hosea 12:13 says: And by a Prophet the LORD brought Israel out of Egypt, and by a Prophet was he Preserved.

Amos 3:7 says: Surely the Lord GOD will do Nothing, but He revealeth His Secret unto His Servants the Prophets.

For Example in 1 Kings 19: 15-21 – While Elijah was busy doing his business; God and His Prophet were discussing about him.

Elisha didn’t know what was going on, he was busy but God was talking to Elijah saying: You are going to this Particular farm and you are going to meet somebody there and his Life is going to Change.

Now, I have said it again and again and some of my children said that we are not quite sure if you should be saying it anymore.

I said that I am not a Prophet and that I’m a Pastor.

But they kept on saying: Well if all Prophets are going to be telling us what will happen and yet it came to Pass; then maybe we have to think for another definition for a Pastor.

Well, this morning; let us say that a Prophet has come in the guise of a Pastor!

For someone listening to me now or reading now on the Label of DMC: Today is your Day – Amen!

2. The Second Way you will know that your Day has come is that: God will by-pass others to get to you.

The Pastor during his Introduction mentioned the fact that there are many Churches in United Kingdom – The Number of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) in the United Kingdom without any doubt, speaking Mathematically is over five thousand (5,000). Some of them close to my house.

And normally on Sundays when I come to United Kingdom, one of the conditions that I specified is that I don’t want to travel far – After Holy Ghost Service Night, those days of travelling long distances should be over now.

That this Man is not growing Younger, no matter how he Pretends.

And as they said back home (In Nigeria); Body no be Iron, Khaki no be leather.

But in a Single Sentence, when your Pastor says: Daddy, will you worship with us today? – Even before I could think of anything, I was already saying Yes.

It means that God is by-passing others to get to one Particular Person – And if you are that Particular Person, you will know.

You see, you always want to ask: God how do you choose one out of many?

If you ask Him, He will tell you – I am in the Heavens, I do as I Please!

Psalms 115:3 says: But our God is in the Heavens: He hath done whatsoever He hath Pleased.

He is the The “Original Majesty”.

In our Language back home (In Nigeria); they call Him “KABIYESI”.

“Kabiyesi” means someone that you can’t query!

I have said it before; there are three (3) ways of doing things:

I. The Right Way.

II. The Wrong Way.

III. The God’s Way.

… He just does it the Way He wants!

If you don’t like it, sue Him and then let’s see who will be the Judge, let’s see who will be your Lawyer.

In Romans 9: 15-16 – He said that: I would have Mercy on who I will have Mercy, Compassion on who I will have Compassion.

And therefore, it is not of him that willeth or of him that runneth but of God that showeth Mercy.

… Somebody is receiving Mercy today – Amen!

In John 5: 2-9; the Bible tells us that there was a Multitude of Sick People by the Pool of Bethesda – Incurable People, waiting by a Pool because an Angel will come once a Year to stir the Pool and the first Person to jump into the Pool will be healed.

They were there, they were many and Jesus Christ came by; He saw all of them but He went to only one Fellow; healed that one Fellow and left.

And yet we read in several other Places that He could heal everybody but on that Particular occasion, He healed only one.

He by-pass so many to get to that Fellow, He gave that Fellow a Miracle and He disappeared.

I shared a Story once upon a time somewhere in the United Kingdom here and my daughter teased me for quite a while after the Story.

I told them the Story of the first time I visited Canada in 1975 or something.

We arrived at Night, it was very cold and I was to attend the World Conference of Applied Mathematicians – I happened to be one of the two (2) People chosen to represent Nigeria.

The queue was long – People came from all over the world (Black, Yellow, White), whatever Colour and we have to now Register. It’s a long queue.

And all of a sudden, the Woman in Charge of the Registration got up and begin to walk down the line – She by-passed everybody until she got to me.

I have never been there before, I have never seen her, she has never seen me. She got to me and said: What is your name? – I told her. Where do you come from? – I told her.

That was all and she turned back to the Table, got a Pack of Sandwiches and a Big cup of very hot tea, came all the way back to me and handed it over to me.

I didn’t look at the face of anyone – That day, I didn’t share.

I finished the Sandwiches, drank the tea and as I was finishing, she came back – She has gone to do my Registration for me, brought my Papers and came with a Young Man and says: Take him to where he will stay.

Of all the People – I don’t know who God is coming for this Morning or as you are reading now on the Label of DMC: May God by-pass everybody else and come to just one Person – Amen.

Maybe that Fellow will shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

Because you see in the Story that we read: When the Man of God, the Prophet came to the house of Jesse; the father Presented seven (7) People and the Prophet kept on saying: Not this one, not this one, not this one.

When he has gone through the seven (7) – Ha, Papa Jesse must be saying: Are you sure you can’t find one?

He said: No, don’t you have any other son?

Well, there remains one. He doesn’t qualify to be a King; that’s why I didn’t bring him.

But God by-passed the “Big Ones” and zeroed in on the one they considered to be illegible.

3. And then one important Point is that when your Day comes; it doesn’t matter where you are; God will locate you.

David was on the field but his Day came and God located him there.

I. In Exodus 3: 1-5 – God located Moses at the backside of the desert.

II. In Genesis 41: 1-44 – God located Joseph in Prison.

When his Day came: He woke up in the morning a Prisoner, he went to bed the Prime Minister of the Greatest Nation at that time.

III. In the case of Elisha that I mentioned earlier on; he was busy on the farm and God located him there – 1 Kings 19: 19-21.

IV. In Luke 5: 1-11; Peter was at the Beach fishing.

He has fished All Night, caught nothing but God located him at the Beach.

I could remembered very well an occasion my father in the Lord travelled to Jerusalem.

I had a “Little House” at the Outskirt of the town surrounded by bush.

I had always loved the bush because:

I. I was born in the bush.

II. I went to School in the bush.

III. Even when I was going to the University, it was in the bush – Because as at the time that I went to University of Nigeria (UNN) Nsukka in 1963; but for the University, nobody knew of any Place called Nsukka.

IV. And when I left the University, I went to teach in a bush.

So, I have always loved the bush – And the house I had then, if you want to ease yourself, you go into the bush!

I went to the bush to ease myself and all of a sudden, I heard a Voice speaking to me.

And while that Voice was speaking to me; the Spirit of God made it so wonderfully different that I didn’t even ask who is speaking – The Voice was just coming!

Because when my father in the Lord was travelling; at the Service to send him off; one of the Song was that: We will meet again!

That Voice said that your father has travelled to Jerusalem – I said Yes; and you sang that you will see him again – I said Yes.

It said: What if he doesn’t come back?

Ha, of course he will come back!

Well, suppose he doesn’t come back, who will succeed him?

I said that there are some Big Pastors in the Church, the People who has been with him since the beginning of the Church – This Fellow and the Voice said it can’t be that Fellow because of so and so; that Fellow and the Voice said it can’t be that Fellow because of so and so.

… Secrets that Nobody can know.

And after I have Presented all the Pastors; whoever was speaking; the question come: What about you?

I said: How can it be me? I wasn’t even a Pastor then – Just a Worker.

And the Voice said: That was how David was Picked in the bush.

At that time, I suddenly realised that this talking is going in a dangerous Way – So, I said: What is my own concern?

It was then that I realised that I was alone in the bush!

My father came back safely and I was glad – Thank God; whoever was talking to me made a mistake.

And then Papa came back, came to me and Pointed at me that I want to see you in the office.

And when I met him in the office, he said: I will be Ordaining you in two (2) weeks time.

And suddenly, I remembered that I said I wasn’t even a Pastor and then I knew that I am in trouble.

My wife and I fasted for two (2) weeks that God will change His Mind but He didn’t.

… The Day came, He located me in the bush!

Your Day has come – Amen; and it is locating you now – Amen!

What is going to follow is already out of your hand!

4. How will you know when your Day has come?

Samuel said to Jesse: You better go and bring that boy because none of us will sit down until he comes.

When your Day comes; Destiny Helpers will come Speedily.

I think that it was in the Pastors/Workers’ Meeting that I was talking to them this Past week.

And when we said that God is going to do something for you; when God said that you are going to become something; your Problem is that you begin to use your brains trying to figure it out: How can it be?

I mean if God says that there is at least one Fellow here who will soon be lending to Nations; you will look at yourself and say: How can this be?

I mean that you may even be having issues Paying your Mortgage right now and then the Word came and says: You will soon be lending to Nations.

Never use your brains to try to explain God – You can never understand Him!

How much do you know? – Your brains is too small!

In those days when I was in the University in the 1960’s; there are three (3) Categories of Degrees:

I. General Degree.

Because they needed Graduates and so you will find People who will combine: Geography, History and maybe English/Yoruba.

… Just Graduate and come and teach in the Secondary Schools.

II. Then we have what they call: The Combined Honours.

You Study two (2) Subjects: Physics and Chemistry; or Chemistry and Biology; or History and Geography.

… In that case, you go deeper because you are focusing on two (2) Subjects.

III. And then we have those we call: The Special Honours.

You Study only one (1) Subject – Mathematics and that is it.

So, those of us who are Special Honours Students; we were Proud – We look down on the Combined Honours Students and General Degrees Students because we were the Big ones.

I was in my Final Year in the University – Special Honours Mathematics. And with all Humility, I was Good.

And then one day, I just strolled into the Meeting Room of the Lecturers and they have a little Library there.

I went there, Picked one Book – The Book says: Introduction to so, so Subject.

I looked through the first Page – Special Honours Mathematics Student and I couldn’t understand anything.

That day, I became Humble because I discovered that I knew Nothing.

What do you know?

It will take you a thousand Year for you to understand all that is to know in Mathematics and yet there is a God who knows all of Mathematics, all of Physics, all Arts Subjects – And now, you want to use your little brain to try and figure Him out!

Don’t waste your time – If God says that you are going to become something; what you should be waiting for is how He will do it and not how

May I say it again: Someone here listening to me today or reading now on the Label of DMC; will be Great – Amen!

Now, once He has made up His Mind that this is what you are going to be; He will send Destiny Helpers!

5. When your Day comes, you become Unstoppable.

After they brought in David and the Man of God anointed him and Pronounced him King – Even the brothers were not happy.

How do I know?

You can just go to the Next Chapter – 1 Samuel 17: 1-51.

When Goliath was terrorising Israel and David got there and said: Don’t worry, I will take care of the Giant.

The Eldest Brother said: You this Stupid boy, what are you doing here?

He was envious because he was the first one they Presented and God rejected him.

But that didn’t stop David.

When David was testifying; he said: After I got anointed; the Lion came, it couldn’t stop me; a Beast came, it couldn’t stop me – He said: Goliath, I will soon take off his head.

You see, once your Day comes, it’s just like the Bible says: The Light shines in darkness and darkness cannot overcome it.

Once your Light begins to Shine, you will keep on Shinning – Even your Relatives will not be able to stop you (Amen).

In 1 Samuel 19: 1-end – This is an Incredible Chapter of the efforts the father In-law made to kill David.

He announced Publicly to all his children, all his Servants – You must kill this boy!

Because somehow, he realised that this is the Fellow who will take over from me.

… He said kill him but they couldn’t.

He tried to “Spared” him with a Javelin but the Javelin missed him.

You know: From now on, it doesn’t matter how many People might be throwing Javelin at you; they will miss – Amen!

You want to say: Daddy, are you saying that from the moment your Day came, had there not been any attempts on your Life?

Don’t let me tell you the Stories but just one (1) – Just to let you know that from now on by the Special Grace of God; you will become Unstoppable (Amen).

It was New Year Day – We came home after the New Year Eve Service, I Prayed for my family, then we had a feast (Everybody has something Special to eat).

And then someone well known to the family sent food – Well, we are already Full, children Full, househelp Full; then we just felt that we have one dog who has just gave birth to some Puppies – Let this dog also enjoy the New Year Day.

So out of this food, we gave it to the dog.

The dog was dead within an hour!

… But I am still here

From this moment onwards, you will become Unstoppable – Amen.

But then, let me Conclude:

6. When they brought in David, when they told him: David, you are wanted at home.

Why? – Well, there is somebody in the house; one Fellow that looked weird

(DMC NOTES: Weird means: Something Supernatural or Unearthly).

And he came, only for that Man of God to Pour the Oil on his head – He had to kneel down.

For your Day to really begin, you have to learn how to Surrender!

God will never force you – You may have the best of Plans for your Life but He won’t force you.

I. He will give you an Invitation – You can accept the Invitation (Surrender) and then have a New Beginning.

II. You can say: No, God mind your own business.

There is No Problem as He has Nothing to lose.

You know the Story in the Book of Esther – Esther Chapter 1.

The King said to the Queen: Queen come!

The Queen said that I’m not coming – You are having your Party and I am having my own Party (Mind your business).

… That was the day she ended up being a Queen because God always have a Replacement!

If He says: I want to bless you and you say I don’t want to be blessed; He will say: No Problem!

So, when God said in Matthew 11: 28-30 – Come unto me all ye that Labour and are Heavy ladened and I will give you rest. Come, take my Yokes upon you, learn of me.

… You can say: Mind your own business and He will.

It was a Problem that brought me to The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – I’m sure that you have heard my Testimony.

I was a Lecturer at the University and there was this Church at Ebute Metta (RCCG National Headquarters Parish located at Ebute Metta in Lagos State Nigeria).

I had been to Ebute Metta before and everything there looked dingy.

DMC NOTES: Dingy means: Dingy (Pronounced “dihn-jee”; rhymes with stingy). It describes something dark, dirty, rancid, or moldy.

When somebody invited me that: Come and worship there – Me? A Lecturer at the University? I worship at a Cathedral!

But I had a Problem that Mathematics cannot solve because God loves me.

And when I got to the Church, because they told me God was answering Prayers there – I said: I want you to solve my Problems, tell me how much I will Pay.

And we get on – They began to Preach: Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ, forsake your sins, He will forgive you.

I looked at them – What is wrong with them? And then they were all illiterates and I was an Academician.

What do they know about sin? Everybody has sinful habits!

But one day; God broke through to me – You think that you are a Clever? Ain’t you Stupid?

They didn’t ask you to bring money; they just ask you to surrender your Life:

I. To your God, to the Maker of Heaven and Earth.

II. To that One that is written: At the mention of the Name; all knees shall bow: Whether Willingly or Compulsorily.

I yielded, I surrendered my Life to Jesus Christ – That is when everything became New!

ALTAR CALL

God is giving you an Invitation today – Do you want to surrender your Life to Jesus Christ or do you want to keep on resisting Him?

The Choice is between you and the Almighty God.

We are not talking about a Church; we are not talking about Denomination – We are talking about you and the Almighty God; we are talking about your Destiny; we are talking about how you are going to End.

God brought you here today or made you to read this Simple Message on the Label of DMC so that you can take a Decision.

If you want to surrender your Life to Jesus Christ; with all heads bow, all eyes closed; all I want you to do is to lift up your hands and say: Lord, I surrender my Life to You.

I am surrendering my Life to You, I want You to be my Lord and Saviour.

I will Pray for your Salvation in a moment.

If you lift up your hands; talk to God: Lord have Mercy on me, save my Soul, forgive all my sins and I will serve you for the rest of my Life.

The Lord is saying: Come to me all you that Labour and are Heavy ladened and I will give you rest.

And the rest of us, let us stretch our hands towards this People and intercede for them – Pray that God who save your Soul will save their own Souls also; Pray that the Blood of Jesus Christ will wash away all their sins and that God will give them a Brand New Beginning.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

My Father and my God; I want to Thank You – Thank You for Your Words and Thank You for all this People who has responded to Your Words.

Remember Your Promise: That whosoever will come unto You, You will no wise cast out.

This People has come – Those who are here and those who are surrendering their lives to You all over the world as a result of this Sermon.

Please, receive them, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins, write their names in the Book of Life and Please Lord, receive them into Your Family.

From now on, anytime they call on You, answer them by Fire. Let everything become New for them and let them serve you till the end.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

Now, I want to rejoice with those of you who has come forward today.

I want to Promise you that from now on by God’s Grace, I will be Praying for you.

So, the Counsellors will be attending to you in a moment because I will need your names, your Address and Prayer Requests.

I Promise you, God helping me that I will be Praying for you.

But I want you to wait for a moment because I want everybody to Pray.

If you believe that God will answer you today, shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

And then Please Stand on your feet.

Just cry to the Almighty God and said: Father, let this Day be “My Day” – My Day of New Beginning: New Beginning of Joy, Success and everything becoming Brand New!

… Go ahead, talk to the Almighty God!
