OPENING PRAYER
Almighty God, the Father of all fathers; the One who has been a Father even before the world began – Thank You.
Thank You for our Source, Thank You being our Supplier – Thank You
Thank You that You are all we need; that everything that we can ever need can be found in You – Thank You.
Oh Lord God Almighty, we appreciated the fact that there are Enemies Outside everywhere but we are glad that we have the Lord of Host Himself as our Supporter, that we can never lose a Battle as long as You are there for us.
Please accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
Today again, we gather before You; Father Please teach us, feed us, draw us even Closer to Yourself and keep us till the very End.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
Well, shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and tell them: My God will take care of you.
And you can be seated!
We will continue with our Series as we get to Part 19 of the Story of Joshua as an Example of one of the People: For Whom The Heavens Open!
And may I add that in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, the Heavens will continually open to you – Amen!
In the Last Series, we have spoken about how to survive in a City that is Besieged.
That if you are in, then you must be “Totally In” – Don’t go out, don’t go back to the world.
Never Dream of Backsliding, don’t return like a dog to its vomit.

Our Bible Text this Day will be: Joshua 6: 2-5
- And the LORD said unto Joshua, See, I have given into thine hand Jericho, and the king thereof, and the Mighty men of valour.
- And ye shall compass the City, all ye men of war, and go round about the City once. Thus shalt thou do six days.
- And seven Priests shall bear before the Ark seven Trumpets of rams’ horns: and the seventh day ye shall compass the City seven times, and the Priests shall blow with the Trumpets.
- And it shall come to pass, that when they make a long blast with the ram’s horn, and when ye hear the sound of the Trumpet, all the People shall shout with a great shout; and the wall of the City shall fall down flat, and the People shall ascend up every man straight before him.
This Passage is Full of Lessons – We will cover as many of them as God will allow us.
For Example, look at Verse 2 – The Lord said unto Joshua: See, I have given into thine hand Jericho.
… He has not even started fighting but He said that you have won the Victory.
Thank God for the One who is not just the Alpha but the Omega!
May be we will come back to that one of these days if God says so!
But then, He went on to begin to say: This is how we are going to win this Battle – Compass the City all ye men of war, go round about the City once and then do that for six (6) days.
And then, there must be seven (7) Priests that you must choose, who will bear before the Ark seven (7) Trumpets of rams’ horns – Not just any kind of Trumpet but those made with rams’ horns.
And on the seventh (7th) Day, you compass the City seven (7) times – Not once this time and then the Priest shall blow the Trumpets.
… And so on and so forth.
Let me just talk to you about this briefly – And like I said we can come back and dig deeper later.
But I feel impressed to talk to you about: “THE GOD OF DETAILS”.
To be blessed by God, you must Pay attention to His “Detailed Instructions!
And now, we find out that if you are going to stay “Totally In” and win every Battles; then you must Pay attention to your God who is a “God of Details”.
When you read the Bible, Pay attention to every words!
For Example:
- We always quote Exodus 15:26 – I am the Lord that healeth thee.
So, no Sickness, no Disease can bother you. Our God is the Great Physician, our God is a God who never refers a Case et cetera et cetera.
And we rejoice because it is true!
But Please read Exodus 15:26 and see the Conditions – The Conditions that must be satisfied before you will live the rest of your Life never sick again.
When you are to Sign a Contract, your Lawyer will advice you – Read the File lines, the File Prints. Check what are the Conditions.
For Example: Exodus 15:26 says:
I. “Diligently Hearken”.
It didn’t say: “Diligently Hear” but “Diligently Hearken”.
“Hearken” means to listen as if your very Life depends on it!
And in case there are some of you listening to me for the first time and you have never heard me defined “Hearken” to you before; I will quickly tell you:
I told those of you who has heard it before that when I was in Ilesha Grammar School (In Ilesha Osun State Nigeria); we had a Tutor of Geography.
That whenever Examination is near, he will call us together and ask us to ask him Questiins on what he had taught us.
The Older Students has told us what to do whenever that occasion occurs – Ask him Questions, he will explained everything in details and tomorrow when you get to the Examination Hall, it is the Questions you asked him yesterday that he is going to ask in the Examination.
So, we Practically set our own Examination in Geography in those days.
And when he is answering our Questions on the Day we are asking him Questions, we didn’t just listened but we hearkened – We took Note of everything that he is saying because we know that it is coming out tomorrow.
So, if you hearkened on the Day that you are asking Questions and he says he is revising with you; you can never fail the following Day.
Hearkening is not merely listening!
When he is teaching in the Classroom in those days (The Normal School Days); we hear but we don’t Hearken. We wait till the D-day of Revision and then we Hearken.
Exodus 15:26 says that you must hearkened Diligently – That means: With all your attention and with all your Strength!
II. Secondly, He said: Do that which is Right.
… Not just Hearken to Him but also do that which is Right.
You are not Hearkening to Him, you are not doing what is Right and you are saying that the Lord that healeth thee?
III. He says: Give ear to His Commandments.
… They are not many but He says: Pay attention to them.
IV. He said: Keep all His Statutes.
If He says that this is what I want you to do, you do them.
It is then and only then that He said – You will never be sick again. He said no Disease will come near you!
As a result of today’s Teachings, by the Special Grace of God; many of us will get Healed even before the Service is over – Amen!
- Deuteronomy 28: 1-3 – We are talking of a God of Details.
Again He said:
I. Hearken Diligently.
II. Observe what I say – Medidate on my Words.
III. Do all that I Command you.
Then He said that the Blessings will now begin to flow!
He says:
I. Blessings will follow you.
II. You will be running away from Blessings.
III. The Blessings will be running after you and Overtake you.
… And so on and so forth!
- Genesis 12: 1-4 – See what God said to Abraham.
I. Get out of your Country.
II. Get out from your Kindred – I don’t want any Relative with you.
III. Get out from your father’s house – You are going to Change Address Permanently.
IV. Go to a Land that I will show you – You don’t know where you are going but just go as I will show you where to go.
Then God now said: Me too, I will respond in seven (7) ways:
I. I will make of thee a Great Nation.
II. I will bless thee.
III. I will make thee Great – Today all over the world, the Name Abraham is highly respected.
IV. You will be a Blessing – And Christians all over the world are still singing: “Abraham’s Blessings are mine”.
V. I will bless them that bless thee.
VI. I will Curse them that Curse thee.
VII. In thee, shall all the families of the Earth be Blessed.
But you know what then followed in Genesis 12:4 – Abraham did not Pay full attention to details. God said: Get Out of thy Kindred but he took Lot with him – You know the Story.
And so, instead of getting into the Promise that God Promised him, he ran into a Famine.
Until finally in Genesis Chapter 13 that Lot separated from him and God now said that we can now get back to what I Promised you.
- Read Exodus 12: 1-end – And you will see the Instructions that God gave to Moses when he was about to bring a whole Nation out of Bondage.
Many of us just read it casually – Oh, the day the children of Israel was about to leave Egypt, they slaughtered a ram and then they ate it.
Pay attention – God said to Moses:
I. Every Man take a Lamb.
II. And then went on: But if the family is too small to finished a Lamb, they can share.
III. That Lamb must be without Blemish – No Blemish at all.
IV. He says that it must be a Male – Either of Sheep or Goat; but it must be a Male.
V. You must keep that Lamb in the house until the 14th Day.
… Everything that God is saying have Implications.
VI. Kill the Lamb in the Evening – Why not in the Morning? Why not in the Afternoon? He said: No, it must be in the Evening.
VII. Then put the Blood on the Side-Post and the Upper Door Post.
VIII. He said: Roast it with Fire – And I’m sure those of you who are Theologians; you know that one is talking about the Holy Spirit that is to come.
IX. Eat it with “Unleavend Bread” – Not Ordinary Bread.
X. And He insisted that you should not boil the Meat – You are tp roast with Fire.
- 2 Kings 4: 1-7.
The Widow of the Son of Prophet came asking for Help. And the Man of God said:
I. Go – Don’t stay with me here. Go back to your house.
II. Borrow Vessels.
III. Empty Vessels – Not just Vessels, but Empty ones.
IV. Make sure that you borrow many.
V. Shut the door on you and your children.
Details:
- There are some Miracles that must happened when Nobody is Watching.
- There are some Miracles that are Private to you and as and we will learn later on.
- There are some Miracles you don’t share until they are Complete.
… Shut the door on you and your children – There is something God wants to do for you alone.
VI. Then pour out the Oil into the Empty Vessels.
VII. Then set aside that which is Full.
So, I want to bring to your attention certain details that you must observes from now on:
- Don’t just Give!
He made it clear – Give Cherrfully as God loves a Cheerful Giver!
Please tell yourself today – Anytime from now on, when they say that they want to take an Offering and your Heart does not leap for Joy; keep your Money!
Because if you don’t Give Cheerfully, then you are not going to get a Reward – He loves a Cheerful Giver.
What does that mean?
He hates a Grudging Giver!
And you don’t want the Almighty God to hate you.
Don’t waste your Offering if you are not going to Give Cheerfully!
- Don’t just Pay your Tithe.
You can read Malachi 3: 8-10 – He said Clearly: Bring ye all the Tithes into my House.
Bring, All, “To my House”.
He didn’t say: Go and send Your Servant to go and drop it for you – You have to bring it. He is not begging you!
Oh, I know that there are several People who said: That is Old Testament.
Fine, leave them alone!
If you know anything about a Curse, you know what a Curse can do.
Oh, Jesus Christ never said anything on that – Well, check the Scriptures.
He said that you are to do all the things you are doing and you must also Pay your Tithes, fulfill all Righteousness and then do all other works of Righteousness.
In any case, as far as God is concerned – Don’t Give at all if you are not going to Give all.
- When you want to ask God for something be Specific.
I. In 1 Samuel 1: 1-20 – Hannah asked God for a Male Child.
She didn’t say: Just give me any Child, but that I want a boy.
II. In 2 Chronicles 1: 6-15 – Solomon, what do you want?
Solomon said that I want Wisdom and I want a Heart of Understanding.
Don’t just ask God for anything. Don’t say: God just bless me! No, tell Him how?
… What do you want!
III. In 2 Kings 2: 9-15 – When Elijah asked Elisha: What do you want?
Elisha could have said: Whatever you want, give me. Just Pray for me!
No, he said: I want a “Double Portion” of your Spirit. I know what I want.
IV. You know in Mark 11: 22-23 – The reason why many of us are still having Problems with moving Mountains is that we are not Specific.
What Jesus Christ said in that Passage (Mark 11: 22-23) is that: If you shall say to this Mountain – Say to a Specific Mountain.
There may be many Mountains in your Life; pick them one by one and move them!
- The Mountain of Sickness is different from the Mountain of Poverty.
- The Mountain of Poverty is different from the Mountain of a Difficuot Husband/Wife.
And so for God to move the Mountain of Marital Problems; you have to tell Him Specifically how you want Him to do it!
Don’t ask Him to kill your Husband/Wife – He won’t even asswer that kind of Prayer.
But you can say: God, this Husband/Wife is a Mountain in my Life; save his/her Soul. If he/she becomes a Child of God, things will Change – Be Specific!
- And when you are Praying, don’t limit the Holy One of Israel.
Never forget that He can do Exceedingly Abundantly Above all that you can ask or think.
So, when you go to Him in Prayer today; be Specific in your Prayer – Remember that He is a “God of Details”. Serve Him in details and He will bless you in details – Amen!
ALTAR CALL
Now, as for those of you who don’t know Him – You are not Born Again. Come to Him today and Pray Specifically: Lord, save my Soul; let Your Blood wipe away my sins and I will serve You in details for the rest of my Life.
So, bow your Head – Cry to Him: Lord, I want You to be my Saviour, I want to be a Child of God, I want to be an Example of a “True Christian”.
And He will grant your Requests even as I Pray for you!
PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God, I want to Thank You for Your Words and I want to bless Your Holy Name for those who has decided that You are the kind of God that they want to serve – The God of Specifics, the God of Details.
And as they cry to You for Salvation, Father Please answer their Prayers, let Your Blood wash away all their sins, give them a Brand New Beginning. Save their Souls Lord, bring them into the Family of God.
From now on, whatever they ask from You Specifically, answer them by Fire.
And I Pray Lord God Almighty that they will never leave you in Jesus Name.
As for all Your Children who are already Born Again; my Lord and Saviour; every Mountains they face today that they Command to move; my Father and my God, move the Mountains.
Every Prayers that they Prayed Specifically, Lord turn to a Testimony.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
