DAY 3: CHURCH DEDICATION AND THANKSGIVING – WELCOME ADDRESS

MINISTERING: PASTOR DEJI AFOLABI (PIC PARISH, RCCG JEHOVAH JIREH)

Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!

You are all Welcome to this Dedication Service – Because of Constraint of Time, I will be very brief.

This is the Day that we have Prayed for; the Day that we have been expecting and we shall rejoice and be glad in it – Amen!

So, we want to thank our daddy to be here (DMC NOTES: Pastor Richard Adeboye, PICR, Region 12) – To come and Celebrate with us and Dedicate this Church today, 28th April, 2024.

Thank You sir for the opportunity to talk before you.

I will like to say some few things about the Parish:

The Parish (RCCG Jehovah Jireh started during the Easter RCCG Lets-Go-A-Fishing (LGAF) in the Year 2013 – DMC NOTES: Specifically on Sunday, 14th April, 2013.

Pastor Mathew Olusegun Obisesan (DMC NOTES: The then PICZ Jubilee Zone and now APICP Admin, Ogun 30 and PIC Area Victory Parish Ibafo Ogun State) Planted the Parish as the PICZ of Jubilee then and since that time; about three (3) Foundational Families Seconded to the Parish worked tirelessly to bring the Parish to what it is as at today (DMC NOTES: The Foundational Families are: The Afolabi, The Odebode and The Olowo).

And since that time, God has been helping us.

The Journey so far so good has not been a roller coaster but God has been Faithful to us.

God has Provided Resources, God has made Men available for us and in His Mercy; He has kept us, He has not allowed us to be defeated and He has not allowed us to be put to Shame.

At any Point in time that we call on Him on this Altar; He answers by Fire.

And so far so good, we don’t have any reason(s) to regret ever taking up this Assignment.

So all of us – That is every Members of this Parish; we are happy today.

This Church Dedication could have been done Last Year (2023) but because of Constraints of so many Factors that we could not do, we have to just mark the tenth (10th) Year Anniversary.

But today is a Day that we have all Prayed for; a Day that we have Longed for and a Day that we have been Expecting.

And now, God has made this Day a reality!

But in all the things that we have done; we still have a lot of things to do.

That is why the Theme for this Church Dedication Program is: “COME UP HIGHER”.

We have in Mind that this is not where we are going as we still have a lot of things ahead of us.

We want to make this Place much more Conducive than we Presently have it.

As at yesterday (Day 2 of the Dedication Program, on Saturday 27th April), we had Problem with our Generator because the Capacity of the Equipment that we have the Generator is not functioning Optimally to carry it.

We observed that as we are having the Program, the Light went off and we Struggled for a while with it.

But I know that something in this Auditorium today or as you read now on the Label of DMC – That ways shall be opened.

So, I want to say Thank You for everything – From six (6) Members to where we are today.

I want to thank Specifically Pastor Oluwaseun Oduntan (DMC NOTES: APICP, CSR Ogun 8) in Particular. Sometimes the Province Planted a Parish and they deem it fit that they will Pick a Pastor from the Parish.

And so, our Parish has Planted a Parish and our Pastor is doing well.

Let all the Members of this Parish Stand Up:

We are happy that from us, this Parish – That Mighty Things are Springing Up.

So, we Thank You and really appreciate you all.

So like I said, we still need a lot of things and a lot of Responsibilies – We want to put Air-condition and we are looking forward to buying the Landed Property beside us; which they are offering at fifteen Million Naira (#15,000,000) as at today (April 2024).

I know that it is Possible – If God had helped us thus far; we can still do much more.

The Sunmary of it all is that: “WE NEED MORE ASSISTANCE LIKE OLIVER TWIST”.
