OPENING PRAYER
Lord, we say Thank You.
Thank You for Your Loving kindness upon our lives.
Thank You for Your Mercy and Graciousness in our lives.
We say be Thou exalted in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Father, we commit ourselves into Your able hands;
Oh God, and we ask that You take control of tonight’s Service in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
And we Pray that by the end of the day, all Glory will be returned to You in Jesus’ Name.
For in Jesus Mighty and Precious Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Glory be to God (Hallelujah).
I’ll like to use this opportunity to appreciate our father-in-the-Lord, who is also the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor E.A Adeboye.
And our Mother-In-Israel, Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye; the Chairperson of the Directorate of Teens and Children Education, RCCG.
As they say in my Language, “Miguo Ma, Miguo Sir” (DMC NOTES: I am on my knees Ma and Sir).
Our Bible Reading will be taken from John 15:1-5.
As we all know, our Theme for the RCCG April 2026 Holy Ghost Service is, “Excellent Fruits.”
John 15:1-5:
1 I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.
2 Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.
3 Now you are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
4 Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch can not bear fruit of itself, except it abides in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
5 I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.
And to the Glory of God, our father-in-the-Lord has done justice to Excellence last Month (March 2026).
Daddy said something very Profound – He said: “Before Excellence, there is Good, there is Better and there is Best.”
Meaning you have done good; you have tried to be better; and then you have done your best. But what crowns it all on itself is Excellence.*
WHAT IS A FRUIT?
A fruit on the other hand is what the Spirit of God empowers us to Produce.
So a fruit is the result of something you have done.
THEN WHO IS AN EXCELLENT FRUIT?
An Excellent Fruit is one who is empowered by the Spirit of God to Produce Excellent results.
Brethren, I need you to understand that your capacity to bear fruit as a Child of God, is determined by your ability to stay connected to the Vine.
AND WHO IS THE VINE?
I. The Vine Himself is Jesus Christ; our Lord and Saviour who died on the Cross.
II. Also, anyone who wants to bear fruit needs to pay attention to his or her seed.
- So, what exactly are you sowing into your Life?
- What exactly are you feeding on to grow?
I. When you plant an Apple seed, it generates Apple.
II. When you plant a Mango seed, it generates Mango.
But you cannot plant an Apple seed and expect a Mango to come out of it.
You must pay attention to your seed.
… So what seed are you sowing into your Life?
THREE (3) DIFFERENT SEEDS
Tonight I will be explaining three (3) different types of Seed.
- The Seed of the Holy Spirit
A young lady came out tonight to explain the Seed of the Holy Spirit.
She said something Profound. She said:
“When the Fruit of the Holy Spirit is evident in your Life, you are not just living, but representing God.”
Jesus Christ said in John 14:16, And I will Pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you forever.
So Jesus planted a seed in our lives, and that seed is the Fruit of the Holy Spirit.
Now, the Holy Spirit generates Fruit; and the Fruit is described in Galatians 5:22-23, which says: But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, Meekness, temperance: against such, there is no law.
Meaning, against the Fruit of the Holy Spirit, there is no Law.
But there is a Law that says we must bear fruit.
In our Bible Text (John 15:1-5) Jesus Christ said, if you are not able to bear fruit as a Child of God; as a Child, as a Teenager. He says He will cut you off. He will take you away.
But if you are bearing much fruit He says He will purge you; He will expand you; He will uplift you.
So what Seed do you Portray exactly?
I. As His Children He says we need Love:
- What can People see about your Love?
- Is it evident in your Life?
II. What can People see about your Meekness?
III. What can People see about your Tolerance?
These days, Teenagers are eager to get “the bag.”
We say, “I need to get that bag quickly.”
IV But again, the Bible talks about Patience.
You need to wait for the tree to grow and bring forth branches; bring forth fruits.
And I Pray for you with the loudest Amen, that before you leave this Service tonight, the Lord will plant in you an Excellent Seed, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.
- The Seed of Location
The Bible makes me to understand in the Book of Genesis Chapters 37 to 50; it talks about the Story of Joseph.
- Joseph was sold into Slavery by his brothers.
- He went to Potiphar’s house and the Master’s wife tried to seduce him.
- He was also thrown into the Prison, and he ruled there.
Meaning, Joseph Stood Out wherever he went to.
God already planted a seed in him even as he went everywhere.
While in Potiphar’s house, he still remained loyal and righteous
Wherever you find yourself as a Believer and Child of God, you are to bear Excellent Fruit.
Brethren, when you are with friends, colleagues; or you are in School, at home and in your Department or office; wherever you find yourself, what Fruits do you exhibit?
Jesus Christ already planted the seed of the Holy Spirit in us.
Are you displaying the fruit wherever you find yourself or you are hiding?
I tell myself everyday, and my Motto is, “Dare to be Different.”
That wherever Tracy Akpodafe finds herself, she will Stand Out.
I want you to tap your chest, mention your name and say: We all at DMC will Stand Out wherever we find ourselves – Amen.
- The Seed of the Word
In John 15:3, Jesus Christ says, Now ye are clean through the word which I have spoken unto you.
And one of His Words is found in Mark 16:15 which says: And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and Preach the Gospel to every Creature.
So the Bible is a Seed of the Word planted in our lives by those who wrote it.
The Holy Bible is not to sit in our bags all day.
I am sure that some People only open their Bible when they go to Church on Sunday; and close it till the Next Sunday.
The Scripture is planted in our heart to bear Excellent Fruits.
One of the words is Evangelism: And we have Vision 2032.
- How many Souls have you won?
- How many Souls have you Preached the Gospel to?
The Bible is not an ornament that we carry around.
So, as a Child of God, as a mother and father; If you are not bearing fruits, you are on a dangerous Ground.
And the Bible says in John 15:6, If a man abides not in me, he is cast forth as a branch, and is withered; and men gather them, and cast them into the fire, and they are burned.”
If He is to cast you into the fire, it means you are likened to firewood.
And He will just cast you into the fire where you’ll burn and become ashes.
When someone is cremated, he becomes ashes that would eventually be thrown away.
Do you want God to throw you away? Of course not!
And I don’t want to be thrown away either – I don’t want God to throw you away.
My Prayer is for us to become Excellent Fruits, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.
A tree that knows its worth does not struggle to produce fruits – It comes out Naturally.
And your fruit can only be relevant when it can be eaten.
When the children were Ministering this Evening in the Spoken Words; they were going around with Fruits: Apple, Mango, Pineapple, Watermelon.
If those who took the fruits from them refuse to eat them, will the fruits be relevant to them?
When they eat their fruits, I’m sure they will smile and say: Yes, this Apple is good, this watermelon is very watering and sweet.
… Can your Fruit be eaten?
ALTAR CALL
Brethren, you must be in the Vine and abide in the Vine to be an Excellent Fruit.
Meaning you have to accept Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour; and meditate on His Word for you to become an Excellent Fruit.
Without this, you are a seed that does not want to grow – A Dormant Seed.
And to do that, when our father-in-the-Lord comes up later tonight and he makes the Altar Call; I would encourage you: Be eager in wanting to Surrender your Life to Christ so that you can grow.
I want you to jump up on your feet (if you can) as we take some Prayers.
SPECIAL PRAYER POINTS
- Please rise up on your feet and say Father; empower me to Produce Excellent Fruits in all I do, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Be it in my Academics, in my Spiritual Life, in my Finances, in my Career, in my Physical and Emotional Life, in my Mental Health.
Empower me to Produce Excellent Fruits in all I do.
I want you to cry to the King of kings and Lord of lords that says: For where two (2) or three (3) People are gathered together in my Name, there am I in the midst of them (DMC NOTES: Matthew 18:20).
For in Jesus Mighty and Precious Name we have Prayed – Amen.
- We all know that we are gathered here for the Teens and Children. And I’ll like for Parents to hold the hands of their children (if they are with you).
If you are still believing God for the Fruit of the womb or you are already Pregnant; Place your hand on your belly.
Go ahead and begin to decree Excellent things into the lives of your children and Say:
My children will be Excellent in their Academics.
My children will be Excellent in their Career.
My children will be Excellent in their Spiritual lives.
My children will be Excellent in their Finances.
My children will be Excellent in their Relationships, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
For in Jesus Mighty and Precious Name we have Prayed – Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER
Our Righteous Father, we want to say Thank You.
Thank You for Your Loving Kindness upon our lives.
Thank You for Your Mercy and Fruitfulness upon our lives.
Father, as Your Word has descended on our Souls, we Pray that we will bear Excellent Fruits, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
The same Excellent Fruit that rested upon Daniel will rest upon every one of us in Jesus’ Name.
We Pray that at the end of the day, all Glory will be returned to You in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
For in Jesus’ Mighty and Precious Name we have Prayed – Amen.
