OPENING PRAYER
Father, we say Thank You.
King of kings, we say Thank You.
Excellent Father, we say Thank You.
Thank You for who You are; Thank You for who You will continue to be.
Father, during this Session, I Pray that People will be blessed in the Name of Jesus.
We Pray that at the end of this Session, Your Name will be Glorified;
In the Mighty Name of Jesus! (Amen)
Firstly, I want to Thank God for this opportunity.
I also want to Thank the Admiral Marshal and the Admiral of the Fleet; Daddy G.O – Pastor E.A Adeboye and our Mother in Israel, Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye.
I want to thank you for this opportunity.
I also want to thank the Mummies and Daddies in the House.
I Pray the Almighty God will continue to bless and uplift each and every one of you, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

My Topic today is Excellent Counsel
And my Bible Text would be taken from Isaiah 28:29, and it says:
This also cometh forth from the LORD of Hosts, which is wonderful in Counsel, and Excellent in working.
“… which is wonderful in Counsel, and Excellent in working.”
You know, as a Person, for you to thrive in this Life and on this Earth, you need Excellent Counsel.
Proverb 15:22 (The Message Translation) says: Refuse good advice and watch your plans fail; take good counsel and watch them succeed.
“… Take good counsel and watch them succeed.”
WHAT IS COUNSEL?
Counsel is advice that aligns with the Scripture and is rooted in God’s Wisdom.
For the Youth in the House, in this Season of our lives:
- We do not need Guessing; we need Guidance.
- We do not need a Checklist; we need the Word.
- We do not need More Options; we need Excellent Counsel.
WHAT IS EXCELLENT COUNSEL?
- Excellent Counsel is Heaven’s Voice that saves you from Earthly Mistakes.
- Excellent Counsel is a Counsel from God.
It means that when you get Counsel from God;
- You do not lower your Standards.
- You don’t marry regrets, you marry in God’s Time.
When God counsels you, you will excel in everything that you do – In your job, in your career, in your business.
Praise God!
- Excellent Counsel is seeking God First.
Matthew 6:33 says, But seek ye first the Kingdom of God, and his Righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
- God is telling you that before you apply for that job, you should seek Him first.
- Before you decide to move to that house, He is telling you to seek Him first.
- Before you decide to say say “Yes” to that Brother; or say “Yes” to that Sister, He is telling you to seek Him first.
The Bible says, when you seek God first, everything is going to come to Place.
- Even before you decide to “Japa” He is telling you to seek Him first.
Why? Because your Location will determine your Allocation.
DMC NOTES: “Japa” in Nigerian slang, it’s a Yoruba word for “to flee” or “escape,” referring to the trend of young Nigerians emigrating (Travelling Abroad) for better opportunities
It is very important that you seek Him first in everything you do.
And you may ask:
HOW DO YOU SEEK EXCELLENT COUNSEL?
- Through the Word of God.
Psalm 119:105 (The Good News Translation) says, Your Word is a Lamp to guide me and a Light for my Path.
- The Word of God is the Foundation for Excellent Counsel.
- The Word of God is what will help you to have a Proper Expectation.
I am sure each and every one of us here or those reading this Message now on the Label of DMC, have a List of the kind of man, the kind of woman that we want.
But once you are rooted in God’s Word, you have a Proper Standard.
- Through the Holy Spirit.
- The Holy Spirit will help you see things your Physical eyes can not see.
- He will give you the Spirit of Discernment.
- The Holy Spirit will help you see the Red Flag in that job;
- The Holy Spirit will help you see the Red Flag in that Person.
Because, who you “Marry” is what you “Carry”.
It is very important that you have the Holy Spirit in your time of Marriage: because everybody has a Purpose.
If you marry the wrong Person, you have “Carried” what you have “Married”.
- By having a Spiritual Mentor and Leader.
Someone who would not lead you astray or just Pray for you; but Someone who is accountable to God.
It is very important that whoever you decide to make your Spiritual Mentor or Leader is someone who is accountable to God.
Proverbs 11:14 (The Message Translation) says: Without good direction, People lose their way; the more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.
“… The more wise counsel you follow, the better your chances.”
You know, an Excellent Example of a Spiritual Mentor and a Leader is our father-in-the-Lord, Daddy E.A Adeboye – He is a man who is accountable to God, and you can see it:
- Over Forty (40) Years of Holy Ghost Service.
- Over Forty-five (45) Years of being the General Overseer of this great Mission; with branches in over 198 Nations of the world and still counting.
It can only happen when Somebody is accountable to God.
Our father-in-the-Lord is not only a General Overseer, but also a father who gives feather to the younger ones (like myself) – Wings to fly!
People of God, I want you to be on your feet and Celebrate God’s Mercy and Goodness over the lives of our father-in-the-Lord and our Mother-in-Israel, Pastor E.A Adeboye and Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye.
Praise God!
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU EXPERIENCE EXCELLENT COUNSEL?
You know, once you seek Excellent Counsel, there are things that would happen in your Life that you would know, “Yes, I have Excellent Counsel:”
- You will experience Peace.
Once you have Excellent Counsel you are going to experience Peace.
Colossians 3:15 (New Living Translation) says:
And let the Peace that comes from Christ rule in your hearts. For as Members of one body you are called to live in Peace. And always be thankful.
You know, there are times when you decide to say, “No” to a Person.
You have been in a Relationship for five (5) years; three (3) Years, something happens – and you tell the Person, “No, this is the end of the road.”
When everybody is running helter skelter; worried that, “Why would you do this?” You have Peace! Because God has given you an Instruction.
Like I said earlier, it is very important to know the kind of Person you marry.
And how you know it is by Excellent Counsel.
It is through Excellent Counsel you will know the Person because everybody has a Purpose.
And if you marry wrongly…
I Pray we will not marry wrongly, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
… What happens when you experience Excellent Counsel?
- You have Clarity and not Confusion.
1 Corinthians 14:33 says: For God is not the Author of confusion, but of Peace, as in all Churches of the Saints.
When People are trying to make you feel bad for your decision, you have Clarity; because God has told you, “This is the way, my Child.”
This is why it is important that you are rooted in God’s Word, because once you are rooted in God’s Word, you have Clarity in everything you do.
I Pray that God will give you Clarity in everything you do, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
- You get Conviction and not Excitement.
Because Excitement will distract you from what God has called you to do.
Excitement will derail you from the Path God has called you to.
But once you are Convicted in Christ, you are focused and you are Genuinely Grounded in Him.
- More importantly, for you to truly, truly experience Excellent Counsel, you need to give your Life to Christ.
You need to give your Life to Jesus Christ, because that is the only way; that is the only true way you can experience Excellent Counsel.
ALTAR CALL
People of God, when our father-in-the-Lord comes up Tonight, and he makes the Altar Call; it is very very important that you run to the Altar and surrender your Life Genuinely to Jesus Christ.
Do not look at anyone close to you.
If possible, just pick up your shoes or slippers; run to the Altar.
Do not miss the opportunity to Surrender all to God.
You may say, “I am a Sinner; I have sinned a lot.”
But trust me, Heis calling on you today!
So, when our father-in-the-Lord makes the Altar Call Tonight, it is important that you do not miss it.
People of God, I want you to kindly be on your feet.
Jump on your feet (if you can).
I Pray that from today, we will experience Excellent Counsel in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

In the Name of Jesus:
I am not confused;
I walk in Divine Clarity.

I receive Excellent Counsel from above.
I, DMC receive Excellent Counsel from above.
Therefore, I will not make costly mistakes.

My Heart is aligned with Divine Instructions.
My Steps are ordered by the Lord.
