GENERAL PRAYERS
- Let us open our mouth and begin to Thank the Almighty God – Give Him Glory, give Him Honour, give Him Adoration.
Thank Him for how Good He has been to you and how Good He has been to your Family.
Thank Him for His Help, His Protection and His Assistance .
Give Him Glory and Honour as He is Worthy to be Praised.
Thank Him because we are already in September – And September means that the Year is running to an end.
Praise Him as He is Good – His Mercy endureth Forever.
Thank You Lord!
Thank You for me, Thank You for my Family, Thank You for the Church and Thank You for our Nation Lord.
Thank You for Your Mercy and Thank You for Your Support.
Glory be to God!

- Now, I want you to Please lift up your voice and say: Father, we are committing all Your Children who are in the Legal Professions into Your Hands:
Give them Wisdom
Give them Understanding
Give them Courage
Let it be well with them and let it be well with their families.
Go ahead and Pray for these Wonderful People and Children of God in the Legal Profession: Lawyers, Judges and all of them together.

King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the Ancient of Days; we give You Glory, we give You Honour and we give You Adoration.

Thank You for our Convention of Last Month,
Thank You for Mountains that You have moved for us
Thank You for Greater Things that You alone could have done
Please accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
Almighty God, Thank You for bringing us to another New Year for The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG),
.
Thank You for Your Children who are busy winning Souls, Planting Churches and doing everything that You asked them to do – Thank You our Father!
Thank You for Your Children who are Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and the Giving of their Offerings – Thank You Almighty God.
Thank You for Your Children who are Lawyers, Judges and all Your Children who are in the Legal Profession – Thank You Father!
Today, we Pray that all Your Children in the Legal Profession, bless them.
Give them the Wisdom of Solomon
Give them the Courage of Daniel
Let it be well with them.
Please Support them, Protect them and take care of their families.
Lord, each time we hear concerning any of these Your Children; let it be Good News.
As for Your Children who has been Faithful in the doing their duties, keep on surprising them.
And for everyone of Your Children, let this Month be a Mighty Month for all of us.
Thank You Almighty God.
Let our tomorrow be alright.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Well, let Someone shout Halleluyah – Halleluyah!
Well, this is the beginning of a New Year in RCCG and so shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and say: “Happy New Year”.
And then you may Please be seated,
You have to Pray for me this Morning because Preaching before Lawyers is not easy.
And you know; you may have PhD in Mathematics but if you are not a Lawyer, then you are an illiterate – Only Lawyers are Learned People.
It doesn’t matter how many degrees that you have, if you are not a Lawyer; then you are an illiterate.
So, when you ask an illiterate to come and Preach to Learned People, then you have to Pray,
And then today, we are asked to speak on: “Wonderful Counsellor”,
Isaiah 9:6:
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a son is given: and the Government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.
Well, we all know that Jesus Christ has many names:
☆ You see Him today and He will call Himself “The Son of God”.
☆ Tomorrow, He will say that “I am the Son of Man”.
☆ Another time, He will say that “I am the Lamb of God”.
☆ Next time, He will roll two (2) names together and say that “I am the Resurrection and the Life”.
☆ Another time, He will put three (3) names together: “The Way, the Truth and the Life”.
☆ In the Bible Passage that we just read, He has five (5) names together: “Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, Everlasting Father and Prince of Peace”.
☆ There was even a Place where He felt that five names are not enough and He calls Himself: “The Alpha, the Omega, the Beginning, the Ending, the One who was, the One who is, the One who is to come, the Almighty God”.
I like Jesus Christ because He just loves names!
And the Point is that every name of His has a meaning and it has a Purpose – He just doesn’t call Himself by any name.
But that is one aspect that we will leave out for today.
Now, we have been asked to speak on “Wonderful Counsellor” – It looks as if our People has joined two (2) names together into one.
But if you look at the Bible Passage that we read, we discovered that after the word “Wonderful”; the Writer put coma to tell you that “Wonderful” alone is enough before putting “Counsellor”,
1. So let us look briefly at the fact that his name is Wonderful.
Wonderful is a combination of two (2) words: “Wonder” and “Full”.
So when you call Him Wonderful, that means “Full of Wonders”.
And everything about Jesus Christ of course is a Wonder:
I. His Birth is a Wonder.
Luke 1: 26-38; when you hear of a virgin conceiving without meeting a Man, whatever comes out of that kind of connection must be a Wonder.
II. When you think of all that He does like walking on water in Matthew 14: 22-33.
For Somebody to walk on water, you have to suspend the Law of Gravity.
Because the Law of Gravity simply says: If you walk on water, you will sink, what goes up must come down.
But in His own case, He just told Gravity to move aside and so He walked on water.
III. If you think of all that He did – How many are we going to mention? Just one shall be enough.
For Someone to raise up Somebody who has been dead and buried for four (4) days; surely that is a Wonder – John 11: 1-44.
☆ But the interesting thing is that He can do a Wonder for you – He can break Protocols to make sure that you get a Wonder.
In Matthew 8: 1-4; a Leper came unto Him and say: I know You that You can make me Clean and heal me. What I am not sure is: Will You be willing?
Because the Leper knows the Law that a Priest should not touch a Leper – You touch a Leper, you become Unclean.
So the Leper was saying: I have a rough idea of the Law – I know that You can heal me but will the Law allow You?
And Jesus Christ said no Problem; I can break Protocols to Perform a Miracle.
May I decree to Somebody today inclusive among those reading this Message now on the Label of DMC: Every Protocols that God has to break to bring you your Wonder; it shall be broken – Amen!
☆ But He can do more than that – He can turn you to a Wonder.
If you read Mark 5: 2-20; when He saw a Mad Man so Mad People will see him coming and run; He just decided to help him. He commanded all the demons to go.
And then after the Man became completely whole, the Man said that this Wonderful Man, I better stay with him.
Jesus Christ told him that I want you to go and tell everybody what I have done for you – Tell them that I have turned you to a Wonder.
And a Man that was an Ambassador of Satan because everybody who saw him, saw what the devil can do; he suddenly became an Evangelist – He became a Wonder to everybody around.
May I Pray for Someone inclusive to those reading this Message now on the Label of DMC that: This Month, God will do something for you that will be a Wondwe to the world – Amen!
I have seen it happen again and again,
We have heard a Testimony last Friday Night (DMC NOTES: During the September RCCG Holy Ghost Service of Friday, 4th September 2026) – Of Someone who was Pregnant.
Doctors said that you are Pregnant and you have a baby coming. She said that is Good,
The second time that she went to see the Doctor, the Doctor said that I think that I can see two! Ha alright, if you say so.
And then the next time she went for Antenatal, the Doctor said that it looks as if there are three here! Alright three, we might be able to manage it.
And then, not too long after that, she had to go again and the Doctor said: Did I say three? There are four here!
The Doctor himself may have been wondering: Did I go to the right Medical College?
There is Somebody who can turn you to a Wonder!
May that be done for you – Amen!
IV. Several other things about Him – His Death was a Wonder.
Because He Himself said in John 10: 17-18; He said that Nobody took my Life from me, I laid it down.
Who is big enough to say that he wants to kill me if I don’t yield?
V. And then His Resurrection to me is Probably the biggest Wonder of all,
Because if you know that You are going to rise again from the dead, why bothered to die?
I mean when I became a Christian; that was one of the Questions that my Scientific Mind was asking me – If you know that You are going to rise on the third day, why bothered to die at all?
So He is a Wonder (Wonderful) – God is a Wonder.
I am Praying for all of you who are here Today and those of you who are listening to me wherever you are inclusive those reading this Message now on the Label of DMC: Next time that I hear of you, you will have a Wonderful Story to tell – Amen!
You know that occasionally, God can so much bless you that when it is time to Testify, you can’t even speak?
There are things that God can do that you will open your mouth because you want to Testify but nothing is coming out – Overwhelming Joy!
I mean I remembered the Story of a woman when we were still in the first Auditorium.
We were Praying and because of the way that I was taught that when I an Praying, you must close your eyes. And I was Praying because I needed help too and I still need help.
And all of you who are in need of one help or the other, God will help you today – Amen!
When all of a sudden, God told me: Son, open your eyes. And I told Him: Lord, I am Praying! But He insisted – Yes Lord!
So I opened my eyes and He Pointed me to Somebody in the crowd – And I saw a woman there who was soaked in tears.
He said: Go and tell her, “Stop Weeping”.
May I say to Somebody here Today inclusive those reading this Message now on the Label of DMC: “Stop Weeping” – Amen!
So I went to her and and I touched her by the shoulder and said: Sister, Daddy asked me to tell you to stop weeping.
Ha, all of a sudden her eyes brightened – At long last, God has seen me!
I decree to Somebody inclusive those reading the Message now on the Label of DMC: In the Name that is above every other name, you shall weep no more – Amen
I delivered my Message and I left her.
And of course, from that moment onwards, she just brightened up as if the Sun came out of the Cloud.
The following year, some People were standing before me with some needing Prayers and so on and so forth. And finally, it was the turn of this woman.
She looked at me and said: You don’t remember me? I said no; how many People will I remember. She said that I was the woman you Prayed for when I was weeping and you said that I should stop weeping.
Oh okay, so what happened?
She opened her mouth and said Jesus! Okay yes, what happened?
She said Jesus the second time and Jesus the third time.
You know the kind of Joy that will leave you Speechless; in the Name that is above every other name, receive it today – Amen!
I said: Sister Please hurry up as there are several other People who are waiting to see me.
She said that I was the woman who was weeping and you said God told you to tell me “Weep no more”.
She said that at the time you are saying that, I had been married for a number of years and the Relatives of my husband has said that if I don’t give a Child to their son very soon; they are going to drive me out of the house – I was trusting God for a Child.
Then I looked at her and found out that maybe it is my turn to weep because on the right hand she was carrying a baby and on the left hand, she was carrying another baby.
Anyone here or among those People reading this Message now on the Label of DMC who is trusting God for a Miracle; my God will surprise you – Amen!
You will get a Miracle that will exceed your Expectations – Amen!
… That is Jesus Christ – Wonderful!
2. But then, let us quickly now talk about Counsellor.
A Counsellor in the Language of a Market Woman is an Adviser – He is Someone you go to when you have a Problem that you can’t solve it and so you need Advise.
And of course, you only go fof Someone for Advise if you know that the Fellow is wiser than you and more intelligent than you.
He is Someone who can show you the way out.
And the Bible tells us in Proverbs 15:22 – He says that without Counsel, Purposes are disappointed but in the Multitude of Counsellors, they are established.
You know many atimes you go to a Doctor and he gives you his own opinion and then you say that you go to Somebody else for a second opinion.
And if you are talking about Counsellors, you are talking of the People in the Legal Department – You come to Someone who knows more than you and you go Somebody who is Learned.
And among them as you know very well, there are Counsellors, Senior Counsellors, and Senior Advocates – People who are really, really high.
I remembered one day, one of my Cousins was retiring as a Judge of Appeal Court and she invited me to come and Preach at the little Party that she organised.
And I find myself among everybody there Mighty not only Judges but Doctors. And I said: Oh God, what am I doing here? How can you ask an Ordinary Pastor to come here?
Well, I summoned on courage and I said that I know you are not saying it loud but you are saying: Who is this fellow? What is he doing here?
I said that I am from the Chamber of the Senior Advocate of the Universe – I am representing the Greatest of all.
When we come to Superior Wisdom:
I. What do you say to Matthew 22: 16-22 – Some People thought that they can catch Jesus Christ; get Him to say something wrong so that the Government can grab Him.
And they ask: Should we Pay Tax?
If He says Yes, they will say that He is an enemy of our Land.
If He says No, then they will say that He is a rebel – He says that we shouldn’t give our Money to Caesar.
He said don’t let me answer your Question first – Bring me a coin and they brought Him a coin.
And He said: Whose Inscription is on this Coin? They said that of Caesar.
He said: Give to Caesar what belongs to Caesar.
Somebody said that what He is saying is that if you have an opportunity to slap Caesar, then slap him – Give Caesar what belongs to Caesar but give to God, what belongs to God.
II. In another occasion, they thought that they could tied Him more in John 8: 3-11.
They found a woman and brought the woman to Him – They said: Sir, this fellow was caught in Adultery in the very act. The Law says that we are to stone Somebody like that to Death – What do you say?
He said: Ha, I agree with the Law – You want to kill her? Go ahead to stone her to Death. But whoever among you that has never committed a sin should be the first one to throw the stone.
And one by one, the Accusers disappeared.
I have Good News for you today: All those who are Plotting against you and all those who are working against you so that People can say where is your God; they shall be disappointed – Amen!
… So He is a Great Advocate – That is the Lord Jesus Christl
And I want to give you one of His Advices for free:
In 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18, I discovered three (3) Verses of the Scriptures that can Change your Life completely forever – I discovered it myself not too long ago.
ADVICE NO 1: He said: “Rejoice Evermore”.
That when you wake up in the Morning, forget any Problem – Just rejoice.
Don’t worry yourself about what are the Problems for the day; just wake up in the Morning and shout Halleluyah!
ADVICE NO 2: He said: “Pray without Ceasing”.
Commit the day until God’s Hands – He took care of you yesterday, He hasn’t gone to bed. He doesn’t sleep and He doesn’t Slumber (DMC NOTES: Psalm 121:4).
ADVICE NO 3: He said: “In everything, give Thanks”.
You want to know by the Grace if God, with all the responsibilities of being General Overseer of a Church like the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); we are here now and thanking God for Miraculous Intervention in our Churches here and there.
☆ I mean there is an Earthquake in a certain place and all the houses around our Church fell but didn’t touch our Church,
☆ There was fire Outbreak somewhere; everywhere got burnt but didn’t touch our Church.
And so when I hear the News and I heard that something is happening at such and such a place; I say Thank You Jesus.
Even before I hear from my Man on the Ground, I have already said Thank You Jesus – That is why my Blood Pressure remains normal.
I wake up in the Morning – I rejoice and I Thank God for another day.
I will say: Father, I commit today into Your Hands – I know that you took care of me yesterday and you are not going to fail today,
And by that, Thank You for whatever that may be happening.
Even though you didn’t hear anything more than that, take those three (3) Advices with you!
And suddenly, your Blood Pressure will become normal.
Why? Because you don’t have to worry – There is Somebody who will take care of you.
Is it your Wisdom that kept you going?
I mean you want to tell me that I am a Legal Officer or Learned Person – Congratulations!
Who keeps your Brain going? God!
I have a friend who was a Chief Judge – We are very good friends. I am talking of visiting each other and eating Pounded Yam together – That kind of friendship.
And then when I was travelling to Abuja and he was coming down from the Aeroplane; I said here is my friend – Hello, you are welcome. How was your trip?
He was looking at me as if who is this? And I was surprised.
He just walked pass me as if he doesn’t know me because he lost his Memory – He couldn’t remember anybody anymore.
So if I don’t have control over my Brain and if I am not where I am today by my Ability but by the Grace of God and God only; why should I worry?
He took care of me yesterday, He is going to take care of me today and believe me honestly, it doesn’t matter what the Enemies may say, the Bible tells me that many are the devices of the Heart of a Man but the Counsel of the Lord shall stand (DMC NOTES: Proverbs 19:21).
How many of you believed that your tomorrow will be alright? The DMC Family Members!
… An Advocate, Someone who stand for your help when you run into trouble; Particularly with Law.
And the Bible says in 1 John 2:1 – It says: Hey, don’t sin. I advice you that you don’t sin,
But if for any reason you make a mistake, we have an Advocate – Before the Almighty God:
☆ We have Someone who is Pleading for us.
☆ We have Someone who is saying: Daddy, You have to forgive this fellow because he is one of Your Children.
And then Romans 8: 31-34 tells us: Who is the one who is really going to be accusing you when Jesus Christ is your Lawyer?
Why must you be afraid of the reports of Herbalists or afraid of one Fellow or the other who is saying that I will report you in our Secret Society?
Report me anywhere, I have an Advocate with the Most High.
Surrender your own report and the Almighty God will give His Own report.
And the Counsel of the Lord shall stand – Glory be to God!
Now, there are Categories of Advocate:
- Good Ones – He will give you a very Good Advice.
- And Better Ones – He will give you Good Advice for free.
I think that they call it “Pro Bono” (DMC NOTES: “Pro Bono” means Professional work Voluntarily and Completely free of Charge for the Public Good).
But there is no Advocate that I know among us that is like Jesus Christ.
Why? Because this is the only Advocate that I know who goes to the Judge and says: My Client is Guilty as Charged; however release him and take me instead.
My Client is Guilty as Charged – Guilty and should have been Sentenced to Death; Please do something for us, let him go and take me instead.
Only Jesus Christ did that – That is why He is called “The Wonderful Counsellor”.
And that is exactly what I am trying to get across to those of you who has not yet Surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ.
Come to the only Advocate who will go before the Almighty God and say: Hey, I know that he is Guilty as Charged but I have shed my Blood for him and I have died in his Place – Let him go free!
I heard a Story long ago and I will tell you and close with that:
Two (2) Brothers born of the same mother – The Younger one is a very terrible boy.
Apparently their Parents died early and so it was the Elder Brother who was trying to raise the Younger one but he was terrible.
And then one day, the Younger Brother came from outside; his dress soaked in Blood.
He then came in, remove his Jacket, dropped it, picked another Jecket and ran out.
The Elders Brother saw what happened and said: Ha, this boy had killed Somebody. And he heard the footsteps of the Police who are coming – Quickly, he threw off his own Clothes and put on the dress of the Younger Brother.
As soon as he finished, the Police came in and there was no need for further evidence; so they took him.
And the Younger one went into hiding.
To cut a long Story short, they took the Elder Brother to Court, Charge him for Murder and killed him.
When the Younger Brother heard the News that the Elder Brother had died, he went to Surrender himself to the Police because his Heart broke.
And the Police said: We can’t kill two (2) People for the same offence – Somebody had died in your Position, you can go.
Today, you are the Younger Brother while the Elder Brother is Jesus Christ – He had died in your Place.
Come and accept what He is offering you – Forgiveness, Healings, Deliverance and a Perpetual Advocate before the Almighty God.
To ignore such an Offer is not the Evidence of Someone who is Learned.
ALTAR CALL
So, if you are here or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC and you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ, I have done my bit and the Choice is now yours.
If you want to Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ, I am going to count from one (1) to ten (10) – Before I say ten (10), Please come and Stand before the Altar and I will join you in Prayer.
That God will save your Soul, His Blood will wash away your sins and from this moment onwards, you will have an Advocate before the Almighty God.
So come now as I begin to count!
Now, those of you infront: Talk to the Almighty God – Tell Him that I know that I am Guilty but I have come to You; forgive me, save my Soul and I will serve You for the rest of my Life.
Go ahead and talk to the Lord!
And the rest of us, Stretch your hands towards these People and intercede for them.
Pray that the One who saved your Soul will save their own Souls also.
Thank You Father!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION
And so my Father and my God, I want to say Thank You very much.
Thank You Your Word and Thank You for these People who has come forward to Surrender their lives to You.
Father, Please receive them, have Mercy on them, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins, let them become Members of the Family of God and write their names in the Book of Life.
And from now on, anytime they call on You, answer them by Fire.
And on the Day of Judgement, remember today and set them completely free in Jesus Name.
Thank You Father!

How many of you feel that you need God’s Help?
Well stand on your feet and shout Halleluyah – Halleluyah!
I am going to Pray for you and then you will Pray for yourself.
FINAL CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God, I want to Thank You very much for all Your Children
You are the Greatest of all Advocate and we Your Children now we need Help.
We sincerely need You to break every rule, every Protocol and every Law in order for You to give us our Miracles.
Father, Please do so today.
In a manner that will cause Your Children never to forget today; Please Lord answer our Prayers.
Surprise us Oh Lord
Beyond our wildest Expectations Lord, surprise us.
Everything that we will need that will make our Joy Overflow, Father give unto us.
You are the One who said that we should rejoice forevermore;
Almighty God from this Day onwards, every day we wake up, let us wake up rejoicing.
You asked us to Pray without Ceasing,
We are Praying now Father, grant our Requests.
And then you say that in everything we are to give Thanks:
The Grace to remember that whatever may be happening to us Your Children, is going to end up in Testimony; Father give that Grace to us in Jesus Name.
Let it be well with all of us.
And let us serve You till the end.
