OPENING PRAYER
King of Kings and Lord of Lords, the I Am that I Am, the Ancient of Days, the Lion of the Tribe of Judah, the Unchangeable Changer – Glory be to Your Holy Name.
Please accept our Worship in Jesus Name.
Thank You for Your Youths,
Thank You for everything that You have done for them,
Thank You for what You are going to do for them,
Thank You because Heaven belongs to them.
Father, accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
Tonight my Father and my God; in the lives of everyone of these Your Children:
Father Please do something New, do something Wonderful, do something Glorious and do something Heavenly.
So that at the end of it all; Your Name alone will be Glorified.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Let Someone shout Halleluyah – Halleluyah!
Now, I want you to shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and tell them: Neighbour, I love you but tonight my Miracle will be bigger than yours!
And then, you may Please be seated.
I can see that you have a very big good Problem – That your Auditorium is already extremely too small.
As the Lord lives, by the time you will be having your International Youth Convention next Year (2027); the Problem will already be adequately solved.
Congratulations for having a Good Problem!
And I have followed your Convention from afar of – This Year’s Convention has been very wonderful.
From the Parade on Monday to all the other things that you have done thus far – Excellent!
Give the Lord a big round of Applause!
I have listened to Practically all the Sessions and I am extremely delighted with all the Preachers – They have all done very very well.
I don’t have much to add – However, when we are talking about Heaven; definitely we assumed that we are talkimg to Children of God.
And so we need to really know what do we mean when we say that “I am a Child of God”.
What is the meaning when I said that “I am Born Again” – What exactly does it mean?
Because I have heard wonderful Sermons – I have heard Sermons on Sanctification and other Mighty Sermons.
And I said that I hope that our assumption that we are talking to Children of God – People who are truly Born Again is right.
Because when we say that you are Born Again, even as one of the Preachers said, which is very very correct; we come forward to the Altar looking one way, and dressed in one way. By the time we leave, we are still dressed the same way.
On the outside, we still looked the same way but the truth is that certain things has Changed!
And he used an example that I have always loved – The example of what happened when you got married.
When you go to the Altar to be married to your Spouse, you looked the same when you are going in and you looked the same when you are coming out. But certain things has Changed forever.
So, the illustration of being Born Again as I used to say in those days when we didn’t assume anything is that you are saying to Jesus Christ “I do”.
When the Priest ask a Question: “Will you take this Man as your Lawful wedded Husband” and and you say “I do”; that is exactly what you are saying when you say that I Surrender my Life to Jesus Christ!
You are saying that: He is the Bridegroom and I am the one comimg to be married.
And they have asked the Question: Will you marry Jesus? And the answer you say is that: “Yes, I do”.
And the moment that you get married to a Man, you come out looking the same and dressed the same way but certain things Changed that is recognised all over the world, on Earth as well as in Heaven:
No 1: Your name will Change.
You went in as “Miss” and you are now coming out as “Mrs”.
No 2: Your Accommodation will Change – I am talking of Proper Marriage now.
That day, as soon as you say that “I do” to that Man, you are supposed to leave your Parent’s house and go to your husband’s house.
No 3: From that moment onwards that you say that “I do” to that Man, there must be a Change of Responsibilities.
Before you say “I do” to Him, the two of you could have been living together in the same house in this face-me-I-face-you Apartment and we could even be friends.
But if you say that you want to go out:
I. Before you say “I do”, he has no right to say that you can’t go out because he is not your husband. Because you might be friendly one to another and you could help him to cook occasionally.
But if he asked you to cook and you want to go out; if you are not married, you will look at him and say: What are you talking about? When do you begin to control my movements? Am I your wife?
II. But the moment you say “I do”, hey you say you want to go out and he says how about my food? You have to suspend that outgoing until you have satisfied him.
When you are Born Again, three (3) Major things happened:
- Change of name.
- Change of Accommodation.
- Change of Responsibilities as you are now under a New Management.
And I am going to take my time to explain these things so that you yourself will know what we are talking about.
That is why the Bible says: Therefore if any Man be in Christ, he is a New Creature, Old Things has passed away.
How many things become New? All things (DMC NOTES: 2 Corinthians 5:17).
- From the moment that you say “I do” to Jesus Christ; you have a New name.
John 1: 11-13 – He came to His Own, His Own received Him not. But to as many that received Him, to them He gave them the Power to be called Children of God.
From the moment that you are Genuinely saved; you have a New name – I am a Child of God!
And you know what? That New name is recognised everywhere: On Earth, in Heaven and recognised by even those who are not Christians.
If you behave in a certain manner, they will come and said: Ha, ha; you call yourself a Child of God – They will say that your behaviour is not in accordance with your new name.
And I will give you a real Life example:
When I was at the University of Lagos, one of my Students came to me one day – I have always been Preaching to them but they make fun of me.
But she had a Dream – In the Dream, some Men gave her a Lift in the car and as soon as she entered the car; they Pounced on her – And then she woke up.
Ha, ha; what kind of “Frightening Dream” is this?
So she went to Somebody that she knew who was a Palm Reader – The Palm Reader looked at her hand and say: Ha, March 23rd; you will die.
What can I do that I won’t die? Nothing!
She said that this fellow doesn’t know what he is saying and so she went to one Herbalist (Babalawo) – That one checked whatever he check and said: Ha, ha; who have you offended? Because on the 23rd of March, you will die.
The same date? She said that there is something wrong with these People.
She then went to this Prayer People by the Beach – The Aladura People.
She went to one of them and that one rolled on the Ground, rang the bell and did everything.
He came back and said: I didn’t know what is wrong with you but by the 23rd of March, you will die.
Now, if three (3) different People tell you the same date for your death; how are you going to feel?
So by the time that she came to me, she was almost crazy.
And then I told her that you don’t have to die – All you need to do is to give your Life to Jesus Christ.
Because if you give your Life to Jesus Christ, you will live and not die.
To cut a long Story short, she gave her Life to Jesus Christ.
And the 23rd of March came and of course she couldn’t sleep throughout the Night.
And by the 24th of March, she came to me – She said that I am still alive. And I said that I told you.
So, may I decree to Somebody here Tonight inclusive those reading this Message now on the Label of DMC: You will live and you will not die – Amen!
But then she said that something Strange happened in the Hostel that Night. And I said what was it?
She said that not a single one of the girls in the Hostel was able to Sleep last Night. She said that everyone was talking about the same thing: Do you know that I couldn’t Sleep?
I said that you don’t know what happened? I said that Death came looking for you and checking the name of everybody but your name has been Changed!
Somebody is going to get a new name Tonight – Amen!
- A New Accommodation
In Colossians 1: 12-13, the Bible says that God delivered us from the Kingdom of Darkness – We were translated from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of His dear Son.
Who is His dear Son? Jesus Christ!
Who is Jesus Christ? According to John 9:5, it says: The Light of the world.
In John 8:12, He says: I am the Light, those who follow me will not walk in Darkness.
When you said that “I do” to Jesus Christ, you are translated from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of Light – And you get a New Accommodation!
I want you to realised the importance of what Salvation is all about – And I will give you another live example.
When I was at the University of Ilorin, they brought a case of a woman to us – This woman has a very Strange disease that I still don’t know the name the Doctors will call it.
The Sickness is such that whenever Electricity is supposed to be working in the house where she lived; instead of the Electrical Instrument working, the current will be flowing through her.
For Example:
☆ If you switch on the fan in her room, instead of the fan rotating; the woman will be rotating.
☆ If you switch on the fridge, suddenly she will become frozen.
☆ You switch on Electric Iron, the iron won’t get hot; only this woman will get hot.
She was living in Ilorin and in her room, you dare not put on anything Electrical.
And so I said go and bring her and I will Pray for her.
They said that the last time they put her in an open Vehicle Jeep, the moment the driver turned on the engine Ignition – You know that for the engine to work, current must flow from the Battery.
The moment the Driver turned the engine, the current picked her up and threw her out.
So they said: Sir, if you want to help her, you have to come to the House.
I went to the House and met her there – They had to use lantern to light up the place.
Of course I don’t have to Preach long for her to give her Life to Jesus Christ.
She gave her Life to Jesus Christ and my Daddy translated her from Darkness into Light.
We switch on the fan and the fan began to rotate and we switch on the Electricity and it worked – The woman became normal.
Somebody is going to have a Translation Tonight – Amen!
This thing that we call Salvation is not a joking matter.
I know the Town that I came from – I mean that if my People say that they will use you for Breakfast in those days, that is another way of saying that you won’t see tomorrow Morning.
Something similar was what they said to me and I ran – And I was running for thirteen (13) years till I met the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are not joking. That is why many of you come for Altar Call and instead of taking the matter serious, some of you are even taking Pictures.
☆ When you are Born Again, you get a New name.
☆ When you are Born Again, you get a New Accommodation.
- When you are Born Again you come under a New Management and you have New Responsibilities.
The Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 11: 28-30 – He said: Come unto me all ye that Labour and are heavy ladened and I will give you rest.
But He said: Take my yoke upon you – Come under a New Management.
When you say that you are Born Again, the Word of the Lord Jesus Christ is your Command.
When you take His yoke upon you, you have New Responsibilities and New Management – He said that my yoke is easy.
He begins to solve your Problems because you obey Him
If I have a Househelp who is taking good care of me – Preparing my food, watching my clothes etc; and then he falls sick and I am a Doctor. What will I do? I will heal him if I don’t then I will suffer.
When you are under a New Management, you obey Him completely and He will take care of you completely!
And I will give you another Story: Years ago in the middle of the 1970’s; I have small small friends like you and I call them “My Disciples”.
And I send them out to go and witness two by two.
And I will tell them: When you enter into a House, tell them that you brought them the Good News of Jesus Christ – Give your Life to Jesus Christ; He loves you and He will take care of you.
If they argue with you there saying that we don’t want your Jesus Christ, don’t argue – Just ask them if they have any Problem that they can never solve? Because we will Pray for you in the Name of Jesus and the Problem will disappear.
And so the two of them went to Sango Ota (In Ogun State, Nigeria) and they entered a House – They didn’t know that the House was the House of the head of all the Babalawo’s (DMC NOTES: Meaning Herbalists) in Sango Ota.
Many of you don’t know Sango Ota? Sango Ota used to be the Headquarters of Witches.
In Yorubaland in those days, if you want to say that Somebody is extremely wicked; you will say that he is as wicked as the Witch of Ota (DMC NOTES: O buru bi Aje Ota).
So they entered into the House of this Old Man and they Preached to him about Jesus Christ.
He looked at them and laughed – He said that because you are small children, I will excuse you. Don’t you know where you are? Can’t you see all over the wall all kind of charms?
You come to my House to talk about a God? I am the god here – I am the Leader of all the Herbalists.
Okay sir, we will go but do you have a Problem that you cannot solve? Because this Jesus Christ that we are talking to you about, if we Pray in His Name, He will solve your Problem(s) and then you will know that Power passes Power.
He said hold on I have a Problem – He said that I get my Powers from the Witches here but from time to time, they come to collect their Salary. And the Salary that they collect is that anytime I marry and my wife is Pregnant; they will come and my wife will bleed to death. There is no charm that I can do.
Can you bring the woman out – Because he said now I am married for the twelfth (12th) time and I have fallen in love with this one. And when she started bleeding, I know that these People has come to collect their Salary but I don’t want this one to die.
They said bring her.
So he brought out the woman and this boy and girl Prayed for her and they left.
They have just gone a little distance when they looked back and Baba was shouting: My children, my children, wait.
Why? The bleeding had stopped.
You are going to leave this Convention Performing Miracles – Amen.
So he gave his Life to Jesus Christ and he came here for Convention and gave the Testimony himself.
When you are Born Again; even as that Man used to be under the control of Witches who are supplying him with Power; you will come under the Control of the One who is the Almighty God and the God of all flesh.
And because there is Nothing too hard for Him to do, then Nothing becomes too hard for you to do as well.
So, if you are Born Again and you don’t have a New name, you don’t have a New Accommodation and you are not under a New Management; what kind of Born Again is yours?
That is why when I see some People misbehaving, I always ask a Question: Do they have the same Salvation that I had?
So Tonight, now that you know what it is to be really Born Again; I’m going to make an Altar Call – We will do that later.
But I have to settle that before you can understand what I want to say because we are talking of Heaven.
When you are Born Again, your Journey to Heaven begins – Until then, you don’t even know where you are going.
Once you are Born Again, you become Candidate of Heaven!
Mummy talked to you about Salvation, Sanctification, Baptism in the Holy Spirit etc.
So we now have a Question: Now that I am Born Again, I am Sanctified, I am Baptised in the Holy Spirit and when we talk of Sanctificationm let me say that you need to listen to the Lecture by the Special Adviser to Daddy GO (SATGO) for Youth Affairs – He did a great job teaching on Sanctification (DMC NOTES: The SATGO for Youth Affairs who also doubled as PICR Youth Region 65 and PIC RCCG Jesus Embassy Abuja is Pastor Babasola Olukoya).
Maybe I should just add this one to it:
To be Sanctified actually means to get a Brand New Heart.
You see, when we were born; the Bible says that we were born with a Heart that is desperately wicked.
The Bible says that the Heart of a Man is evil beyond all things and desperately wicked (DMC NOTES: Jeremiah 17:9).
The Heart of a Man is so wicked as if to say that it is on Wickedness that it thrives.
And unless that Heart is Changed, there is very little that you can do.
Nobody teaches a new Child how to be angry – Have you noticed that?
You see a little Child behaving in a manner – You look at the Child: Ha, ha; “omo ana” (A Child that was born yesterday – A baby), who taught you how to be angry?
It is inside the Heart – Evil and desperately wicked.
And for that your Heart to become the Heart that will be doing the Will of God; it has to be a Transplant Heart – Your Heart must be replaced.
And to have a Heart Transplant, Someone must donate his Heart.
And if Somebody is donating His Heart, the one who is doing the donation must die.
When they want to do an Heart Transplant, they look for Somebody who has an Accident, whose head is damaged beyond repairs and they quickly take out the Heart because he is not going to need it.
And then they will give it to Somebody who has been waiting in the Hospital for a New Heart.
When Jesus Christ died on the Cross, He says that: There is a Heart now available for anybody who wants it when He said that it is finished.
Anybody who needs the New Heart? And Adeboye said: Yes Lord, I am here (The DMC Family Members said Yes Lord, I am here too).
God is going to give Somebody a New Heart Tonight – Amen!
I am the last son of my dad and last born of mum – And I am telling you that my dad loves me like Nobody business and I loved the Old Man too. I mean he sold Practically everything he had to train me.
But when he died, I wanted to weep but my Heart was such that I couldn’t shed tears – My Heart was such hard that I couldn’t cry.
But now, if we are Praying in any Program and I see Somebody who is Genuinely sad crying, before I know it; tears begin to come to my eyes because the Heart has Changed..
Somebody is going to be Sanctified Tonight – Amen!
God is going to give you a Heart of Flesh:
☆ Soo you are saved.
☆ You got a New name.
☆ You have a New Accommodation.
☆ You have been translated out of Darkness.
☆ That Forces of Darkness can’t even touch you.
☆ You are now under a Management.
☆ Your Heart is now the Heart of Flesh.
☆ And of course, you are Baptised in the Holy Spirit.
Then the Journey to Heaven begins!
And so, we have two Young People travelling to Heaven and then the Question is – How do you want to do your Travelling!
The Goal is the same but from where you are both Starting to Heaven, we can do the Journey through two (2) Possible ways.
When you are running a race; do you want to do it as a Sprint or as a Marathon?
You can reach Heaven Tonight if you want you can Sprint and get to Heaven or you can do it as a Marathon.
- If you read Acts Chapter 6, the Bible tells you that there were some Young boys that were selected – We now call them Deacons. You know them: Stephen, Philip et cetera et cetera.
Within a short Period of time, by the time you get to Acts Chapter 7, Stephen was in Heaven – Oh that boy was a Sprinter.
And I am telling you that he ended up Gloriously – His face was like that of an Angel.
Before he departed from here (DMC NOTES: Earth), Jesus Christ was Standing at attention to receive him.
But do you want to die by tomorrow morning? Do you want to go to Heaven Straightaway?
You can Sprint like Stephen.
Because the Heaven opened, he saw the Glory, he saw the beauty and he says: Here I come Lord.
When we held the first Congress – We used to call it Christ the Redeemer’s Congress way back in 1975 at Ilesha Grammar School.
I remembered that Evening that I Preached on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit – And the Power of God can down Powerfully.
We invited Students from all over Nigeria and there was this girl that came from the North.
When the Power came down, the Heavens opened, she saw the Glory of God and said that I must die now.
It took about six (6) People to be holding her down – She was saying that I must go now. And I mean that they were on her for hours and I didn’t know
I just finish, set everybody to Pray and I went aside to go and be talkimg to God.
Around Midnight – I finished Preaching around 8pm and of course People just kept on Praying. In those days, when People are Praying; you have to ring a bell to stop them. Nobody rang any bell and so I didn’t know what was happening.
Finally I found out what is going on – What am I going to do? What trouble have I caused? You cane from the North to die on me? Then I will be in trouble.
Then God gave me Wisdom and I said: Listen to me, I an not asking you not to go to Heaven but don’t you think that you should use the Power you have gotten from God to win Souls and to do something useful for God?
Then she said okay I will wait.
… Stephen died shortly after his Ordination and Commissioning – He ran the race as a Sprint.
- But there was another Man in this same Group – His name was Philip. He didn’t run his race as a Sprint but he did it as a long Distance race.
And oh God, what that Man did:
☆ He won the City of Samaria over to the Lord Jesus Christ.
☆ He met Someone who was travelling to Africa and got him saved and Baptised.
As I was telling them in London some days ago; the Europeans boast that they brought the Gospel to Africa.
And I told them that the Gospel was in Africa before it came to Europe – The Gospel reached Ethiopia first through Philip.
☆ Philip went on and even got married and he became known as ” The Evangelist”.
So, I am recommending: Don’t run your race as a Sprint!
Let me take another Example of a Young Man who ran his own race also like Philip – His name was Apostle Paul.
If you are looking for an illustration of what I taught you earlier on:
I. He got a New name,
This Paul the Apostle was formerly called Saul of Tarsus.
When he met the Lord Jesus Christ on his way to Damascus, his name was changed from Saul of Tarsus to Apostle Paul.
II. He got a New Accommodation:
He used to live in the Company of those who are Persecuting the Church but he was translated and became one of the People he used to Persecute.
III. He got New Responsibilities.
☆ He said that for me to live is Christ, to die is Gain (DMC NOTES: Philippians 1:21)
☆ He said that I am Crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live, the Life I live now is for me and my husband (DMC NOTES: Galatians 2:20).
He ran the race going from Town to Town:
☆ Winning Souls.
☆ Establishing Churches
☆ Suffering Hardship
He kept on saying that I Press on – When he has achieved something here, he will move on. Until finally when he was old that he said that I think now I can go home and rest.
And before then he said that I want you to know that my Crown is waiting for me – I am ready for my Crowning,
I recommend that you run this race as a Long Term Race!
Stephen Performed Miracles but he has to do it by the Power of the Holy Spirit – You can read it in Acts Chapter 6.
So whether you run the race like Stephen by Sprinting or like Paul by Marathon; the Bible says that God Performed Special Miracles by the Hand of Paul – You need Engine!
You want to go from here (Redemption City of God) to Kano and you want to arrive very, very soon; you will need a Good car with a Good Engine.
You want to go to Kano but you don’t want to go by car? You are not in a hurry because you want to carry lots of Goods – You need a Trailer and you need a bigger Engine.
You are going to ask God for the Engine that you want for the race ahead
The Almighty God is willing to give you the kind of Engine that you want – The one that can pull a Trailer or the Engine of a big bus or the Engine for just a small car.
But you know that in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), if you have learnt your Visiion and Mission Statements:
VISION NO 1: To make Heaven.
VISION NO 2: To take as many People as Possible with us.
I remembered the second Year of the School of Disciples (SOD) on this Campground – We were having an End-of-the-Year Meeting and I asked everybody in the School of Disciples (SOD) then – All the People that you have brought into the School of Disciples (SOD) since we started a Year ago, ask them to gather to you so that you can see your job.
There was one boy – He alone has one hundred and fifty (150) Disciples that rallied round him.
And there were People there – Some had two (2), some had three (3) and some had none.
The Engine that you get tonight will determine next Year at your Convention – And I call one of you and say come and Stand before us. Raise your voice to all those People that got Born Again through you and ask them to come forward and join you.
Do you know that there might be Somebody that this Place will not be able to contain?
I know that some People are not really interested in how much load they carry – Don’t go to Heaven empty-handed; get a big Engine.
You know thar the Word of God says: Covet earnestly the best Gifts (DMC NOTES: 1 Corinthians 12:31).
In other words, God says: Ask me how big the Engine you want.
No matter how big the Engine that you want, He will give you.
That is why I took my time tonight to explain to you – I don’t just want to see a crowd who don’t even know where they are going and who don’t even know the meaning of Salvation.
ALTAR CALL
The first thing that I want you to do now is that those of you who will want to say: Ha, Thank You Daddy, I thought that I was Born Again but when we say all things has become New; I didn’t understand – Nothing became New the way you explained it in my Life.
So I want to say “I do” to Jesus – I really want to give my Life to Jesus Christ and not just joking again as I mean business.
But as many of us that mean that business, I will give you a few Minutes to come – Stand before me on the Altar and let us Pray for the kind of Salvation that I got.
I think that I will count from one (1) to ten (10) – If you really mean it, then you can come.
Now as you come Pray – Just cry to the Lord: Lord have Mercy on me, I didn’t understand before. I want Genuine Salvation as I have come to say “I do” to You.
☆ The Lord Jesus Christ, give me a New name as I want to become a True Child of God.
☆ Give me a New Accommodation as I want to be translated out from the Kingdom of Darkness into the Kingdom of Light.
I want to be one that Darkness will see me and they will run.
☆ And I want to be under a New Management Completely.
Now, go ahead and Pray that Prayer.
And the rest of us, let us Stretch our hands to our new Brothers and Sisters and intercede for them.
Pray for them that God will give them Genuine Salvation tonight – Real Salvation and the type that everything will become New.
Father, give it to me Tonight.
Let everything become thoroughly New.
Thank You Father! In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
PRAYER FOR SALVATION
My Fathee and my God, I want to Thank You for Your Word.
I want to give You all Glory and Honour for these People who has responded to Your Word.
Lord, Please receive them in Jesus Name.
They are saying “I do” to You Jesus Christ, Please say “I do” to them.
Save their Souls Oh Lord, write their names in the Book of Life, let them begin to live in You now and Lord God Almighty, let them remain yours forever.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Well, let Somebody shout Halleluyah – Halleluyah!
SPECIAL PRAYER FOR SANCTIFICATION
There is a Prayer that all of us will have to Pray – That is the Prayer of Sanctification. That is for us who is yet to be Sanctified.
Wherever you are, you Stand Up and cry to the Almighty God and say:
Father, give me a Heart of Flesh, take the Heart of Stone out of me – Sanctify me Oh Lord!
Cry to the Almighty God now!
Thank You Father! In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
SPECIAL PRAYER FOR SPIRITUAL ENGINE
And then finally, you want to cry to God for Spiritual Engine that will enable you to run the race all the way to Heaven and carrying as many People with you to Heaven.
The kind of massive Spiritual Engine like the one that Paul got so that God can Perform Special Miracles through me.
Cry to Him and say: Lord God Almighty, the biggest Spiritual Engine You have, give it to me. I want to serve You all the way to Heaven!
Open your mouth and cry to God!!!
