OPENING PRAYER
Heavenly Father, we Thank You for the Gift of Eternal Life and Your Holy Spirit that You have given unto us that we may know You and reflect You.
Thank You for bringing every one of us here tonight that we may have encounter with You.
We ask, as Your Word comes, it will come as Fire and Power:
To Heal, to Deliver and to Transform us.
Blessed be Your Holy Name.
In Jesus’ Name we have Prayed – Amen.
We bring warmest Greetings to our Parents-In-The-Lord.
To all our Senior Pastors, we Pray that the Almighty God will sustain you all, in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.
Tonight, I have been instructed to speak on the Topic, Heaven.
And I will look at it from three (3) Standpoints.
- Heaven as a Revelation of God.
- Heaven as the Government of God.
- Heaven as the Tabernacle of God.
Revelation 21:1-3:
1 And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea.
2 And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.
3 And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
HEAVEN AS A REVELATION OF GOD
One of the most Profound expressions of God’s Love to Humanity is that He makes His Spirit and His Word in writings and spoken form apvailable that we may know His Nature, His Plans, His Purpose, to the end that we may host Him and reflect Him.
One of such great writings is found in Matthew 4:17, From that time, Jesus began to Preach and to say, “Repent, for the Kingdom of Heaven is at hand.”
Jesus being the fulness of God the Father, and the Holy Spirit in the flesh was not only declaring His arrival on Earth by that Particular Verse of the Scriptures, He is the Holy Offering and Sacrifice that can deliver the Earth realm, Souls of men and all Creatures in Earth from the Dominion of self, sin and Satan.
But if we pay a little more attention to that Scripture (Matthew 4:17); we’ll discover He was saying something like this – “He, the Creator and the Ruler of Heaven and the Earth has come to reveal His Nature, His Plans, through His Word and His Works.”
Based on this, He was making demands that Humanity should turn their hearts away from self, from sin, and from Service unto Satan.
- That they should receive Him.
- Submit themselves to His Government.
- And receive all that He has.
That was exactly what He was saying by that Statement.
Tonight, we are going to be looking at Three (3) Scriptures to help us see that Heaven is all about God:
- John 1:4 In him was Life; and the Life was the Light of men.
Through the account of Genesis and some other Scriptures, we are able to see that all lives – Those ones in Heaven Celestials, those ones on Earth Terrestrials, they come from God.
That is, God is the Source of all lives.
Aside from that, we discovered that God is the Author of all lives also – God sticks to the plans on how and when of Life.
Beyond that, He is the determinant of how all of these lives is going to end in this Age and in the Agge to come.
John 1:4 is saying something more and Powerful – It says, there this kind of Life is from God, and it brings a Change to Humanity.
When a man receives this kind of Life and he is placed beside God, they look alike.
This life is only found in one Person (Jesus).
1 John 5:11-12 says, And this is the record, that God hath given to us Eternal lLie, and this Life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath Life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not Life.
That is, this Life that brings transformation; that brings a Change of nature unto man is found in only Person – Jesus!
… And this Life is called Eternal Life.
Eternal Life is not just the Life that has no end; it is a Life that captures the fullness of the essence of God.
And this Life is all that Heaven is.
Jesus Christ sometimes would say, “I am the Bread of Life that came from Heaven.”
He did not only come to the Earth to reveal that Eternal Life is all about Heaven. He is the only One who has the Capacity to give this Life.
And this is why, till tomorrow and forever, Jesus Christ would be the only Access to Heaven.
Turn to your Neighbour and ask him or her:
- Do you have Eternal Life?
- And are you living in the consciousness of that?
- 1 John 4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
It is actually Possible for a man to give himself to a course like a Philanthropy and at the end in Heaven’s record, such a man’s giving as an expression of love doesn’t make a mark.
Why is it that a man can give and the People would be saying, this Person has given a lot. But before God, he has given nothing – “He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.”
There is a Nature in God called Eternal Love.
Except you and I have this Eternal Love, everything we do in the name of giving is in vain.
If God is love and He dwells in Heaven, then we can conclude that: “Heaven is a Reflection of God’s kind of Love.”
- Psalm 62:11: God hath spoken once; twice have I heard this; that Power belongeth unto God.
Power in this context does not mean the ability to do work alone; but also the ability to Approve and Disapprove situations at any given instance.
So here we hear God saying that He is the Source of all Authority and Power in Heaven and on Earth.
Isaiah 66:1, Thus saith the LORD, Heaven is my Throne.
Throne simply means, Visible Authority.
If we do a remover and a replacement – If we remove the Throne and replace it with Authority, we have a statement like this, “Heaven is my Authority.”
That means when we receive Heaven, we have Unlimited Authority.
And I’ll like to quickly tell us that this Authority and Power are also found only in Jesus.
HEAVEN AS THE GOVERNMENT OF GOD
I remember our father-in-the-Lord, Daddy G.O; shared a Testimony while Ministering, of how the Holy Spirit told him to tell the Congregation to shout Halleluyah.
And right there, a woman who had been sick for a while shouted, and a Life worm jumped out of her mouth, and instantly she received her healing.
In the same manner; for those of you who are having bone conditions, pains in their ligaments, I want those group of People to tise and shout Halleluyah – Halleluyah!
Now, we are looking at Heaven, as the Government of God – We did that to let us know that:
Without the functional Government of God in place, Heaven is not visible.
When we talk about the Government of God, we are talking about the Presence of the Almighty God Himself, in a place and in a Life.
Without the Presence of God Almighty in a Life, such Life may yield to God’s instructions, but the works of Heaven cannot be fulfilled.
Matthew 6:9-10 says, After this manner, therefore Pray ye: Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done on Earth, as it is in Heaven.
That Kingdom simply means Government.
Until the Government of Heaven; as in the Presence of God is available in my Life, in your Life and until His set of Rules, Constitutions are available, someone cannot experience Heaven, and he or she cannot enter Heaven.
I remember sometimes ago in my journey as a Believer, I struggled with Pornography and Masturbation until the Grace of God located me through the Holy Spirit, whispering to me that I need to go to the Court of the Lord in Heaven, with the Blood of Jesus.
And insisted that, “All that God, through Jesus Christ has achieved for me, I can enforce it now.” I never got total deliverance.
Anywhere anyone is experiencing a Challenge, it’s an indication that the Government of Heaven has not been adhered to in specific instructions.
HEAVEN AS THE TABERNACLE OF GOD
Tabernacle means a dwelling place – It is from the Hebrew word ‘Mishkan.’
And there are three (3) places where God dwell.
Matthew 6:9 After this manner, therefore Pray ye: Our Father which art in Heaven, Hallowed be thy Name.
I. God dwells in Heaven.
The Heaven where God dwells is Spiritual – For Spirit beings.
Heaven is perfect and needs no reformation.
II. God dwells in our Eternal Spirit.
1 John 4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.
1 Corinthians 3:16 Know ye not that ye are the Temple of God, and that the Spirit of God dwelleth in you?
The above Scriptures affirm the truth that we are true citizens of Heaven – God is Present in you and I.
III. God dwells with Heaven’s Citizens.
That is, everyone who has received Eternal Life.
At the End, God wants to dwell with us in the New Heaven and in the New Earth, with all of His Creatures.
And this is the greatest Agenda in the heart of the Father and his is the very purpose for which He created the Heaven and the Earth.
Remember the Bible tells us in Genesis 1:26-27, And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the Earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.
This Agenda, God’s thwarted by sin through the inversion of the devil.
But God is still on this Plan – He has not stopped. His greatest Agenda is to dwell with us.
The Bible says in John 1:12, But as many as received him, to them gave he Power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
The greatest Agenda in our hearts also will be what is in the heart of our Father.
All our focus as we are excelling in Businesses, as we are ruling and leading in Politics, should be towards the fulfilment of God’s Agenda.
THREE (3) REASONS THE AGENDA OF THE FATHER MUST BE FULFILLED.
- The first thing is that, until the Agenda of the Father to dwell with us, Jesus will not be enthroned.
Until the New Heaven and the New Earth is achieved, Jesus will not be enthroned in the New Heaven and the New Earth.
God’s Eternal Plan was to make Adam and Eve the Sole Authority; Leaders of the Earth Realm.
But they violated the Governing Authority of God by choosing self over the instruction of the Father.
And God has designed it that Jesus and the Church (you and I) would replace Adam and Eve.
- Until this Agenda is fulfilled, the devil will not be removed from the Earth Realm.
- Until the Agenda is fulfilled, the Earth Realm will remain like this.
Romans 8:19 says, For the earnest expectation of the creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.”
As long as the Father’s Agenda is yet to be fulfilled, the Earth Realm will remain like this.
HOW DO WE RESPOND TO THIS?
- We should give Thanks to the Almighty God all the time.
For the Change that the Citizens of Heaven will be translated into a New Heaven that has been Perfected in Jesus.
- We should live in the consciousness that as we go on our daily businesses, it is all about Heaven.
- Until the Agenda is fulfilled, the Earth Realm will remain like this.
I was in a meeting sometime ago and somebody asked, “How many of us actually want Jesus Christ to return now?”
There was no hand raised to that.
And there was uproar in the room; People were saying, “My PhD, I am yet to get married, etc.”
Let’s look at Hebrews 9:28 which says, And unto them that look for him shall he appear the second time without sin unto Salvation.
Until our hearts are reprogrammed in such a way that we are eagerly expecting the Second Coming of Christ, that greatest Agenda in the heart of the Father will be a little delayed.
Remember, it was until the Children of Israel began to cry for a deliverer that the Almighty God sent a deliverer (Moses) to them. It is a model.
I Pray for us tonight that as our father-in-the-Lord comes up and makes that Altar Call:
For those who are yet to receive Eternal Life, Eternal Power, Eternal Authority and Eternal Love, so that you can become Citizens of Heaven;
I Pray that you will not delay when he makes the Altar Call tonight, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.
Shall we please rise to our feet.
CLOSING PRAYER
Say Father, I thank You for Your Word that has come expressly.
Father, we give you Thanks!
Be Thou exalted in Jesus’ Name.
He who testifieth these things saith, “Surely I come quickly, Amen.”
Even so, come Lord Jesus!
The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with us all – Amen.
