We Thank the Lord for the Rendition of the choir; it’s our Prayer that God will continue to Anoint them afresh.
This is a New Year, God will do a New in your life – Amen!
And we Thank the Lord for the Privilege again, given to us by our esteemed Daddy in the Lord, Daddy E.A Adeboye.
The Almighty God will continually keep you and our Mummy for us, in Jesus’Name – Amen!

OPENING PRAYER
King of Glory, the Great I am, Thank You, Thank You, Thank You for a Brand New Year.
We bless Your Name for giving us the Privilege to be available and to be around; and for keeping us into the New Year.
Thank You for this New Beginning, Thank You for New Joy, Thank You for New Favour, Thank You for New Anointing.
Father Almighty, we Praise You for Good Health; we just want to say Thank You. Lord Almighty, receive our Thanks, in the Name of Jesus!
We are here today to look at Your Word again, Please, as simple as it may be, as familiar as it may be; we Pray that You will teach us. You will take us deeper into Your Word.
Everyone that requires Healing, give them healing. Those who require Deliverance, Please, deliver them.
We Pray that whatever is the Prayer that is hanging from the other Year (2020) till now, answer that Prayer, in the Name of Jesus.
I commit my head, my mouth to You my Father, You will take hold of me. And the few things that I need to say, You will take over from me; and the Holy Spirit will take control.
Even while You are using my mouth, I will get the benefits of Your Word.
Thank You eternal Father!
For all the People who are Praying; asking questions and giving commendations, let it be well with all of them.
Lord, your children also Pray for their Dad and Parents; we Pray for Daddy and Mummy today, continue to enlarge and endow them with Grace.
Let the Anointing of God tabernacle like never before over them.
Thank You Father!
And at the end of today, get all the Glory.

We want to appreciate God for the opportunity to come around again; and we Thank the Lord for the life of the People working in our Media – DOVE MEDIA especially (and DMC by extension) for making themselves available to be able to get this Message across to the world.
The Almighty God would continue to put His Anointing on that Media, and the entire Staff, in Jesus’ Name – Amen!
Today, we want to look at: WINNING OR VICTORIOUS ATTITUDE FOR THE NEW YEAR.
Now I’m going to read from Philippians 3:10-14 (but it’s good to read from Philippians 3:8-14 on your own).
Philippians 3:10-14;
10 That I may know Him, and the Power of His resurrection, and the Fellowship of His sufferings, being made conformable unto His death;
11 If by any means I might attain unto the resurrection of the dead.
12 Not as though I had already attained, either were already Perfect: but I follow after, if that I may apprehend that for which also I am apprehended of Christ Jesus.
13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,
14 I Press toward the mark for the Prize of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus.
The Lord bless the Reading and Hearing of His word, Jesus’ Name – Amen!
This is a Passage I can never be tired of reading, I can never be tired of studying.
And we all need to understand that the same Victorious Life that Paul had; the same Winning Attitude that Paul put forward is available to every Believer.
Some People may ask: “Is it Possible for someone like me, who is not an Apostle, who is not a Pastor or even a Worker; to have be able to live this Victorious lifestyle?
… We all can live the Victorious lifestyle that Apostle Paul lived.
In the above Scripture, we discovered some Secrets of Paul’s Power for his Victorious Life, for his Winning Attitude.
Apostle Paul, no doubts, was an High Flyer. His Retreat was not in Vocabulary, No!
He developed the Act of a Champion: He worked as a Champion, he moved as a Champion, he conducted all his Activities as a Champion.
And there is a Determination to WIN, that drove him!
And we need to understand that the same thing is available to us.
What Apostle Paul did, we can also do; what he enjoyed, we too can enjoy. We can have a Triumphant Life, we can Win as he did. And we can Experience all the Good Things that he had.
I’m going to mention Five (5) Things (for today) which I call: VICTORIOUS ATTITUDE FOR THE NEW YEAR.
WHAT ARE THE THINGS PAUL MENTIONED IN PHILIPPIANS 3:10-14?
- Paul had this Determination of DISSATISFACTION.
… He had an Attitude of DISSATISFACTION.
You should be comfortable, you should be satsified with Jesus Christ. But the Progress of your Life must not be limited to where you are.
There are many People today – They become satisfied: Sitting and warming the bench! They have joined a Church for quite a while, but they never get anything done! They are not committed to anything in the Church, they are not moving anything in the House of God.
And sitting down alone, suggests that you are going back.
Because some People just sit and watch the things going on around them; but that was not the Attitude of Apostle Paul.
Paul was expressing from where we read to us his DISSATISFACTION.
Oh yes, Paul said: I’m satisfied with Salvation, I’m satisfied with what God has done. But I need to Grow More. I need to move forward! I am making Progress, but I am not yet there.

Apostle Paul never Permitted himself to be content and satisfied with ALL his Spiritual Attainments.
I mean, this was the man who said: “I count all things but loss for the Excellency of the knowledge of my LORD Jesus Christ.”
You wanted to know more about his God!Daniel 11:32b says “… But the People that do know their God shall be Strong, and do Exploits.”
… Apostle Paul wanted to make Progress.
So, the first (1st) essential, to be Progressive in Christian Life, is what is call DISSATISFACTION.
The Salesman (maybe you have heard the story) came out of his Manager’s Office feeling very sad and he is one of the best!
And so, the Secretary asked: Mr Salesman, what happened? You are just coming from the Boss’ Office.
He replied: The Boss reprimanded me.
She asked: Are you sad? – He said No!
And so the Secretary went to the Manager and said: Sir, by record, this man is one of our best Salesmen. But when he came out of your Office, he was sad.
And the Manager said: I noticed that! And I also know he is one of the best Salesmen; but I cannot allow him to rest on his oars.
Sometimes, I need to bubble his ego style.
So, I told him: I know you have achieved, but you can do better.
And this is the same thing I’m saying to us: You can do better then you are doing now – There must be a DISSATISFACTION.
Christians have the tendency to maintain Status Quo; we tend to be easily satisfied and content with the Past Accomplishments.
And we have said severally: Your Achievement of yesterday is no longer an Achievement – It has become History.
… Nobody lives in History to go into the Future.
Many Christians become Self-Satisfied, because they are comparing themselves with others.
But remember, you are Unique! And you must know that our Standards as Christians, is not other People’s Standard.
And your Standard should not be measured using the Standard of another Christian – Your Standard must be the Standard of JESUS.
We must never be satisfied until we are conform to His Glorious Image.
2 Corinthians 3:18 says: “But we all, with open face beholding as in a Glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from Glory to Glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
So, your Winning Attitude, your Victorious Attitude, your Progressive Attitude for this New Year: No. 1 – is a New DISSATISFACTION.
Anything you are, anything you have been; you can still IMPROVE ON IT.
… That’s No. 1.
- You must have a NEW DEVOTION.
It’s a New Year; New Dissatisfaction, New Devotion.
Paul said in our Bible Text: “This one (1) thing I do.”
One (1); If you chase two (2) birds, you will lose the two (2).
Now, if you face so many directions, you will soon be confused.
So, one (1) thing – forgetting those things which are behind.
Yesterday ended last night, you can’t reverse what happened yesterday – It’s gone!
Move on to the next day – “Reaching forth to those things which are before.” Paul said: “I PRESS towards the Mark!”
So, what is the Lesson there?
Paul was DEVOTED to ONE (1) thing – SERVING Christ and GROWING in Christ.
Jesus said to that Self Righteous rich young ruler in Mark 10:21:
“Then Jesus beholding him loved him, and said unto him, One thing thou lackest: go thy way, sell whatsoever thou hast, and give to the Poor, and thou shalt have treasure in Heaven: and come, take up the Cross, and follow me.”
One (1) thing! Paul said, I focus on one (1) thing.
Jesus, in Luke 10:42; He told Martha: “But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that Good Part, which shall not be taken away from her.”
Please, I’m talking about NEW DEVOTION. If anything is worth doing, do it well.
David said in Psalms 27:4 – “One thing have I desired of the Lord, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the House of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the Lord, and to enquire in his Temple.”
One (1) thing! – Most Christians are rendered ineffective because they are involved in too many things.
So, Satan’s deadliest trick for keeping you from doing what God wants you to do is to distract you by getting you to do too many things.
Don’t allow yourself to be distracted in the Service of the Lord, in your focus.
I like the man Nehemiah, in Nehemiah 6:3 – Sanballat and Tobiah wanted to distract him from rebuilding the walls, he said:
“And I sent Messengers unto them, saying, I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down: why should the work cease, whilst I leave it, and come down to you?”
You must have NEW DEVOTION; devote your time to look to Jesus, to do His Will. Devote your time to Win Souls, devote your time to Pray and Worship.
… I said I’m going to mention Five (5) Things. And I have represented them with LETTER ‘D’.
- NEW DIRECTION.
Apostle Paul had a Past life, just like all of us do – He was a Persecutor of the People who were Preaching the Good News. But he said, “I put those things behind me.”
What is he really saying?
What Apostle Paul was saying is this: “I refuse to be influenced and controlled by my Past.
Some People are controlled by their Past.
Your Past has Passed; it’s gone! If God says He had forgiven you, He has!
Oh yes, you have committed abortions, fine! You have confessed, and He has forgiven you.
You have done abominable and terrible things. Once you have confessed, you are forgiven.
You cannot move Forward if you are always looking backward – That’s the truth.
Now, let me say this to you; the devil will like to get you to live in the Past – That’s the truth!
The devil will like you to live in the Past!
.. But the Past has Passed!
He will like to remind you about all your Past failures, your Past sins, your Past mistakes.
The devil will like to accuse you over and over again; the sins which Christ has forgiven you.
Don’t let the devil discourage you by accusing you of the sins which Christ has already forgiven you.
If you have Unconfessed sin, Please confess it today and move on.
DO not waste Valuable Time frigthening over what you have confessed to God.
Once you have confessed it, repent and forsake; let it go.
Far too many Christians are circled with the events of the Past.
Even as a Leader, I still counsel some People who refused to let go of their Past.
Please hear this Beloved; if you want to win this Race don’t live in the Past;
If you want to enjoy this Year, this Month. If you want to enjoy this Decade – Forget those things that are behind!
You can’t win the race by looking backward – Nobody wins any race by looking backward!
If you want to be a Winner, you want to be Victorious in a Spiritual Race, in the Walk of Life; you have to keep gazing at the Right Direction.
The Right Direction is the future in order to have a Victorious Life.
- You must have a NEW DETERMINATION.
Apostle Paul said in Phiplippians 3:14 – “I Press towards the Mark for the Prize of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus.”
The word “I PRESS” is a Greek word, which literally means: “To follow after.”
It is used to describe Hunters who relentlessly Pursue their Prey – They just Pursue!
You see, a Person does not just become a Winner in Athletics by listening to Lectures – No; by watching Movies? – No; by watching Others running? – No; by Reading Books? – No; by Cheering at the Players? – No!
He becomes a Winner only when he/she gets into the Race with a Determination to WIN.
And for you to win in the Race of life; for you to have Victory; for you to enjoy Progress; there is a need for Determination.
Apostle Paul had a steadfast Determination on the following:
I. He had a Steadfast Determination that he would not QUIT.
… Please, don’t quit!
Ii. He would not TURN BACK.
… Please, don’t turn back!
III. He would not to GIVE IN.
… Please don’t give in.
IV. He would not to THROW IN the towel.
… Don’t throw in the towel.
V. He would not to SLOW DOWN.
Each time I listen to Daddy G.O, he would say: “We are yet to start!” – I keep wondering!
Recently he said, People say I should slowdown, I won’t slowdown – I want to move higher!
Then I ask myself: “What is this man doing?”
If People like Daddy G.O are saying so; Please, don’t SLOWDOWN.
Apostle Paul said he would not slowdown.
Do you know what he said in Phiplippians 3:14? He said:
“I Press towards the Mark for the Prize of the High call Callinging of God in Christ Jesus.”
If you want to Win in the Race of Life; you want to be Victorious, you must have a Determined Attitude – “Spirit of Determination”.
Sometimes you need to apply Energy; for you to be Victorious, you need to apply Energy.
I’m not saying it’s going to be be easy; but it is Possible.
The Lord Jesus Christ has Promised us Victory. And I want you to understand that Victory does not come cheap.
Anything that is cheap is not valuable as such because whatever comes cheap goes away easily.
Victory does not come cheap; it will cost a little sweat or maybe much more than that.
It will cost you a Whole Life work and efforts in order to win the Battle of life.
I Pray for everyone reading this Message on the Label of DMC that you will win the Battle of life, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
It took determination for Joseph when he had an opportunity to commit immorality with his Master’s wife; to say: No, I will not do this great wickedness against God.
And you know what the Bible says in Songs of Solomon 2:15?
It says: “Take us the foxes, the little foxes, that spoil the vines: for our vines have tender grapes.”
It takes Determination to be able to remove those little foxes.
In the Book of Hebrews 12:1, there are sins that easily beset; you need to remove them.
There must be Determination to be Holy this Year; determination to go ahead and commit Extra Power.
In 2 Samuel 23:13-17; the Bible talks about the three (3) Mighty Men of David – Those three (3) Men were Determined People.
They suddenly realised David was not with them. So they decided to go look for him and they found David in a Cave.
David on the other hand, did not simplify their assignment. He said, I want water from the well of Bethlehem.
And the Bible said, these three (3) Men went in jeopardy of their lives – Determination!
To enjoy a Victorious Lifestyle, your Promotion has something to do with Determination.
In Daniel 1:8, the Bible says Daniel Purposed in his heart… No wonder, he became the Preferred President? – He was Preferred among the three (3) Presidents.
Do you want God to give you Preference this Year? – Then you must be Determined!
If you don’t have determination of where you are going, anybody can use you as a Load Carrier to their own Destination.
Determine this Year: I’m going to use all my time for the Lord; I’m going to do His Will; I’m going to fulfill Purpose, I’m going to love Him like never before.
And whatever it is that God has not approved, will not come my way this New Year – Amen!
- NEW DISCIPLINE
Sir/Ma let me read 1 Corinthians 9:24-27 (very, very KEY). It is self explanatory:
“Know ye not that they which run in a race run all, but one receiveth the Prize? So run, that ye may obtain. And every man that striveth for the Mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible. I therefore so run, not as uncertainly; so fight I, not as one that beateth the air: But I keep under my body, and bring it into subjection: lest that by any means, when I have Preached to others, I myself should be a castaway.”
It takes a great deal of discipline to run and to win in the Race called Christianity.
The very word ‘Christianity’ means DISCIPLINED ONE.
Christians are People who follow the Pattern of Christ;
…. Christians are disciples of Jesus Christ.
Who is a Disciple?
A Disciple is Legitimate Follower of his Master.
A Disciple is an apprentice who follows the details of the Masters work.
The word Discipline today among some Believers is a foreign word (and their lives) because of instant g/Gratification.
You want to be Victorious? You want to be a Winner? – There must be some Level of Discipline:
I. Disciplined to Pray;
ii. Disciplined to Fast;
iii. Disciple to be Diligent, in dealing with others;
iv. Discipline to Study the Word of God;
v. Discipline to attend Church.
Nobody needs any effort to fail; you don’t need any effort to fail. All you have to do is just sit down!
But you want to make it? You need to be Discipline.
I am not a Sports Person but I like following the match. I like how they move to the Winning Stage.
Some of their trainings are very rigorous – It requires Discipline.
There are things they must not do, and there are things they must do.
A life of Discipline is not negotiable! – It takes Discipline to work with the Almighty God.
Let me start concluding: Do you have a VICTORIOUS ATTITUDE?
… That is my question to you Sir and Ma.
Are you a CHRISTIAN? Are you Born Again at all?
I am not talking about going to the Church. Everybody who is born into so-called Christian families need to go to Church.
But I need to ask you whether you have this dissatisfaction?
Some People say: “I am not Born Again, but I am okay!”
You are not okay until God okays you; you are not okay until the Principles that makes life okay begins to work for you.
And everyone who says I want to be Victorious, you must have a New Dissatisfaction; you must be satisfied with Christ but wherever you are today, you know you can improve.
If you are not Born Again, come to Christ. Your focus on mundane things must shift to Eternal Things.
You must have these five (5) Things: Dissatisfaction, Devotion, Determination Direction and Discipline.
Are you getting what the Holy Spirit is trying to say to you? The Holy Spirit is trying to get you back on the right track!
Could it be that the Holy Ghost is trying to get you to excel in the things of God and in the things you are doing for life?
Today, I’m inviting you Sir and Ma, to a Recommited Devotion to Christ; to a Rededication to Christ in loyalty.
We need to settle in the race that Christ has set before you and before me.
Men are not the ones to judge you; but every secret of men’s heart are known by Him.
He knows how you move, He is aware of your moments; the secret things He knows about them.
… Now I am going to Pray!
ALTAR CALL
If you are reading now on the Label of DMC and you are not Born Again, Please, I want you to surrender to Jesus Christ today.
A Life that is not in Christ is in crisis; a Life without Christ is a wasted Life.
And if you are Born Again but you are not living right, you are missing the great benefits which God give to those He loves.
You can tell Him today: Lord, I need You in my life, have Mercy on me.
And if you are already Born Again, tell Him to take you deeper still.
And if you are not Born Again, I want you to bow your head wherever you are and say: Lord, I want You to come into my heart. I repent of my sins. I surrender to You.
If you are Born Again, but somehow, your life is full of crises and battle, tell Him Lord: I will apply these Principles today.
PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER
Father in Heaven, Thank You for the Word of God and I bless Your Name for the Privilege to say this.
Everyone who has listened to this and reading now on the Label of DMC, and they are surrendering their lives to Christ, or they are recommitting their lives to Christ today; receive them today oh God; and let the Spirit of the Lord start afresh with them.
And Let there be New Joy, New Breakthrough, New Anointing, New Favour, New Walk with God from today.
And let the Name of the Lord be Praised!
And for every Believer who is saying: Lord, take me deeper – Take them deeper!
… And let the Name of the Lord be Praised.
Please, help all of us, as we travel on this road and in this race, that we will all WIN. We will make it here on Earth and make it to Heaven.
