We want to Thank God for the Rendition by the Choir. The Almighty God will continually Bless them. They will never lose their relevance, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

OPENING PRAYER

The King of Glory, the One Who has Exclusive Right to receive Praises and Honour. The Almighty God, the Great I AM!

We Adore You this Particular day, we Thank You this Particular night. Thank You for the Digging Deep of today! What a Great God,what a Mighty God we serve!

And Lord, we want to say: Thank You!

Accept our Thanks today in the Name of Jesus.

We appreciate You Oh Lord for the opportunity we are given by You and by our father in the Lord – our Leader, to stand on this Platform from time to time; and to declare from the things that he has taught us.

We Pray God Almighty that You will continually Strengthen Him, in the Name of Jesus!

Even as we start today Lord Almighty, to speak and look at the Word of Liberty; we Pray that the Word of God today will not irritate the People.

God You will use this same Word to Heal; You will use this same Word Almighty God to Deliver. There will be Salvation.

You will encourage someone out there, who is listening and watching or reading now on the Label of DMC.

And Father, we Pray Almighty God, that this Particular day – You who sent out Your Word and it healeth them.

We Pray that You use the same Word to Heal all of us!

I Pray You will take Possession of my head, my mouth and my heart. And I will just do exactly, according to the leading of the Holy Spirit.

Take over Oh God and let Your Counsel and You Will be done!

We give You Glory, God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.

… Continue to take it! You Own it anyway!

Today, we want to consider a very short and brief Teaching which is loosely used in our Generation – Both in Christiendom and in the Circular world.

We want to consider today: “FOUR (4) F’s OF PEACE AND PROGRESS.

In the Book of Philippians 3:13-14, I to read:

13 Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,

14 I Press towards the mark for the Prize of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus.

The Lord Bless the Reading and the Hearing of His Words, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

Before I go into what we need to consider today; I don’t know whether you have heard the story of the Mouse!

The Rat looked through a crack in the wall one day, it saw a Farmer unwrapping certain things from the boxes. And the Rat kept wondering: ‘What is he unwrapping?’

By the time the Farmer brought out the thing inside the boxes; it is Rat Trap! And so the Rat said: We all are in a mess in this house!

And it ran to the Chicken and said: The Farmer has just bought a Rat Trap.

The Chicken said: Well, you are the one who has business in the house. I stay outside! And I eat maize and those things given to me. Go and sought it yourself.

The Pig said: Oh, I am sorry for you. What I can only do is to Pray for you. Who knows, maybe you will escape.

The Rat went to the Pig and said: I saw the Farmer a while ago, he just bought a Rat Trap.

And so it went to the Cow and said: See, the Farmer just bought a Rat Trap.

And the Cow said: Why are you insulting me? What do I have to do with Rat Trap? It said, go and sought it out by yourself.

So, the Rat went back to the house and warn the mice: ‘Please, the Farmer’s house is no go area, until I say so’.

And that night (in the Farmer’s house); there was a click of the Trap. And so the Farmer’s wife thought it caught a Rat. Everywhere was dark!

It was a Python, its tail was caught in the Rat Trap.

So, the Farmer’s wife was in darkness. So the Python released poison to the body of the woman.

At the hospital, the Doctors said she has fever and that she needs Chicken Pepper soup to cure the fever.

So they went home, killed a Chicken.

Yet the fever refused to go! And the People kept visiting the Farmer. They had to kill the Pig to entertain the visitors.

And eventually the Farmer’s wife died! And they killed the Cow for burial.

In Corinthians 12:26, the Bible says: “And whether one member suffer, all the members suffer with it; or one member be honoured, all the members rejoice with it”.

We must keep our eyes on one another, and we must make Personal efforts to encourage one another.

One of the best things in life, is to Synergize with one another; especially in the Lord – Hence, these four (4) F’s are very, very important.

FOUR (4) F’s OF PEACE AND PROGRESS.

1. FORGIVE

If you want to enjoy the Peace of heart; you want to make progress; then, that element – FORGIVENESS must be there.

Look at what Colossians 3:13 says: “Forbearing one another, and forgiving one another, if any man have a quarrel against any: even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye”.

Did you catch the challenge?

God in the above Passage of the Scriptures is challenging us, to give up Grudges.

And that is what it means when He says FORGIVE – If any man has a quarrel against any; even as Christ forgave you, so also do ye.

You know in life, grudges destroy marriages. Grudges break family. Grudges rein friendship and grudges splits Church and fractionalize it.

Study shows that forgiveness is not only a Good Theology; but a lesson for living healthy as well.

And according to the latest Medical and Psychological Research: “Forgiving is Good for our Soul and for our body was their conclusion!

So, People who FORGIVE others, enjoy these benefits because forgiveness builds immunity and it lowers Blood Pressure.

Those who FORGIVE have Mental Balance – They don’t live in anger!

But those who don’t forgive are prone to Hypertension and all kinds of Viruses.

Now, it is a Negative Thing to have an Unforgiving Spirit.

Anyone who is living with that is setting himself or herself up for something that may impair his or her health.

And I am Praying for someone listening and reading now on the Label of DMC: May the Lord God Almighty release the Grace to FORGIVE others, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

And I am absolutely certain that someone listening and reading now on the Label of DMC – You need to give up Grudges!

Maybe somebody hurt you long ago: Your Boss, your Spouse, Love ones, your neighbours – God is saying to you (Just as He is talking to me): Give up Grudges and Forgive them.

If you want to change your life and move on in the Journey of life, and enjoy everything God has to offer – You to commit yourself to give up Grudges.

… That’s Number One (1) F – FORGIVE!

2. FORGET

In that Philippians 3:14-14, it says: “Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I Press towards the mark for the Prize of the High Calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

If you want Peace of mind, then you have to FORGET.

There are certain books you need to close!

And as you journey on in life, if you want your life to experience wonders; you want to enjoy the rest of your life, you need to commit yourself to Forget what others have done to you – Your failures, your disappointments; Forget!

Now, D.L Moody (the Great Preacher) was narrating a Story in one of his Sermons;

He said two (2) men were under the influence of Alcohol, and they have to go back in their boats to the other end.

So, under this influence, they entered their boats, and roll all through the night; only to discovered that they were on the same spot.

Why? – Because they forgot to cut off the rope that tied their boats to the harbour!

You need to cut the cord that connect you to your Past in other to move on!

I Pray today, the Grace to forget the failures of the Past, and what others have done to us; the Lord will give unto us, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.

Now, still talking about FORGET; there was a man called Arthur Rank – An English Executive; one of the Great Men who lived in the Past and he was a Great Achiever.

They asked him: Why is it that you achieve so much in your life?

He said: I use one (1) day in a week to worry about ALL the issues and events around me! So when anything agitate me and it is not Wednesday; I will write it and throw it in a box.

And he said: One thing I have discovered is that by the time I opened the box, what was worrying me few days before they would have been settled.

… You need to Forget!

Some of the things we worry in life, they are not worth the worries – So you need to Forget!

Apostle Paul said: I forget the Past.

Yes, I have a lot behind me – It was a very bad Past.

He Persecuted the Church, he used his Authority to kill Christian.

In his own words, he said – ‘I am a Chief Sinner.’

He could have walked around in life with this burdens of guilt that would have crippled his Ministry. He would not have become a Great Apostle who gave us over two thirds (⅔) of the Epistles in the New Testament – But Paul said: FORGETTING what is behind!

So, you want Peace of mind? – FORGET!

As long as you are alive, life is not a smooth road, it is full of up and down!

Life is not only Mountain, life is not only Valley – And as you Journey on in life, definitely; even when you don’t mean to offend, offences will come!

When you don’t mean to make a mistake, you will make one because nobody is absolutely correct in all areas.

No one! – Only God and the Holy Spirit.

And so when there is a mistake, apologise if you have to.

When you have failed, close the Chapter and begin again because the end of a Sentence is the beginning of another! After a Full Stop, you start writing.

So, why do you need to live in yesterday?

Yesterday ended last night. You can’t bring it back, you can’t do anything about it – FORGET about it! They offended you, they injured you.

I still remembered like yesterday, but Thank God for His Grace:

When my Uncle’s wife poured fresh excretes on me and she said: ‘You are worth less than nothing!’

In this same life, this Particular Lady came and kneel before me, saying: She is sorry for what she did.

If I was living with that Grudges, I would have been lost forever!

Thank God I was able to Preach Christ to that Lady before she Passed on to Glory.

So, forget what People have done to you – You have been deeply hurt, but close the Chapter.

You have failed so woefully, and everybody have known you are a failure – That is their Opinion. Forget!

3. You need to FORGO.

… I like that – FORGET, FORGO!

I Pray that the Almighty God will give us the spirit to FORGET, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

You need to FORGO!

1 Peter 3:8-9; says: “Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing.”

That you and I may inherit BLESSING.

And when you talk about FORGO, you need to give up fighting.

Do not repay evil for evil – Evil for evil is BAD. Do no repay insult for insult.

While Jesus was Teaching, some of His Hard Doctrines were: Somebody slaps you, turn the next side. Somebody wants to take you one mile, go extra miles.

When you have done that, He says – Close the Chapter and move on.

Sometime, the effective way to solve problems is to remain silent.

Somebody says: I want to Prove a Point!

You do not have any Point to Prove because, God has given us Plain Instruction.

And Apostle Paul while speaking said: I close the Chapter of yesterday.

Oh Yes, some things happened yesterday, but I need to let them GO.

Someone offended me; I need to let it GO.

The Apostle did not accept me; I need to let it GO.

People belittle the Grace of God on your life, they think you cannot amount to anything, they don’t expect nothing from you – That is theirs! You need to FORGO.

Charles Carlton one of the Great Theologians said: “When you have nothing to SAY, say NOTHING!”

And that looks like what Jesus said: Let your yea be yea, and your nay be nay.

I mean, when you say – I have FORGIVEN you, it is all gone. I FORGET it, it is all gone. And I FORGO it, and hand it to God.

… Let it remain so!

You need to FORGIVE, you need to FORGET and you need to FORGO.

It is one thing to FORGIVE, but do you FORGET?

It is another thing to FORGET, do you FORGO?

Or you are Praying; Oh God, avenge me! Oh God, do this.

Most of the regarded Bulldozer Prayers today are Prayers of Vengeance.

But in the words of my father in the Lord: If you Pray to destroy everyone, who are you going to Preach to?

… But God is Merciful.

When we look at the trends of happenings in the world, God has given everyone opportunity to repent.

I Pray today, that the spirit to FORGO, God will give unto everyone of us, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

4. The Fourth (4th) F, which caps it all, is FOR GOD.

… Forgive, Forget, Forgo and FOR GOD!

Now, 2 Corinthians 1:8-11; and I will read after that 1 Peter 5:7.

2 Corinthians 1:8-11:

8 For we would not, Brethren, have you ignorant of our trouble which came to us in Asia, that we were pressed out of measure, above strength, insomuch that we despaired even of life:

9 But we had the sentence of death in ourselves, that we should not trust in ourselves, but in God which raiseth the dead:

10 Who delivered us from so great a death, and doth deliver: in whom we trust that he will yet deliver us;

11 Ye also helping together by prayer for us, that for the gift bestowed upon us by the means of many persons thanks may be given by many on our behalf.

… Talking about different things we come across in life.

You want Peace in life? Then you need to let GOD have His Way!

The troubles of life are so many! And Jesus Promised us in the Book of John 16:33:

“These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have Peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of Good Cheer; I have overcome the world.”

In the Book of John 14:1; the Bible says: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in Me.”

So, there are trouble in life, but when you give it over to God, there is a way he handles it on your behalf.

Give your Problems to God – When it looks like it is out of your control, then give it to God. He is the only One who has the Power to do Exceeding Abundantly.

Give it to Him!

1 Peter 5:7; says: “Casting ALL your care upon Him; for He careth for you.”

… All, and not some!

No wonder when Jesus was Teaching and Preaching – Just as He was saying to them, He is saying same to us now, in the Book of Matthew 11:28-30:

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light”.

… You need to give it to God!

I don’t know whether you have heard the story of a little Boy – ten (10) years old!

He needed a pair of shoes, and each time he wanted to ask the Parents (maybe because the Parents looked hard) he would be afraid.

But they took him to Sunday School one day. And the Sunday School Teacher said: ‘Anything you need, ask God; All your cares, cast them upon God, because He cares for you.’

So, the boy put up his hand and asked: Sir, are you sure that what you taught us now is exactly the way it is?

The Sunday School Teacher said: Yes, that is exactly the way it is – Anything you ask God!

So, the boy went to a shoe shop one day (Peeping through the shop window): Our Sunday School Teacher said I should ask God, God, I need a pair of shoes.

And there was a fairy old Lady who touched the boy on the shoulder and said: Young boy, what exactly do you need? Why are you peeping?

He said to her: My Sunday School Teacher told me, anything I need, I should ask God. As I am peeping, I am asking God to give me a pair of shoes.

So, the Lady took the boy inside the Shop and said Please, I need two (2) pairs of shoes for this Young boy.

Took the boy behind the Shoe Shop, got a water in a bowl, soap and towel. Wash the boy’s leg. Wore him the shoe and socks.

The young boy held the hand of the Lady, looked up and said: ‘Are you the wife of God?’ And the Lady smiled!

That is very instructive: If you want your Problems to be solved in life, you need to let God have it!

Don’t carry excess luggage. You are too small – Your Experiences, your Education, your Connection, your Money are all too small to handle the Multinational Problems of our world!

If you want your life’s Problems to be solved, give them over to God and trust Him – He will help all of us.

Hear what Paul said (in another translation):

“We are crushed and overwhelmed and saw how Powerless we were to help ourselves. But that was Good for them: we put everything in the Hand of God for He can even raise the dead. And He did help us”.

… And we expect Him to do it again and again.

If He has done it for one, He will do it for all – He is the same yesterday, today and forever.

That is what Hebrews 13:8 says.

When Moses and the Israelites were trapped in the land of Egypt, and they cried unto God, He delivered them.

As if that was not enough, when they got to the Red Sea, it looked as if they were trapped.

God said: Watch and see the Salvation of the Lord.

Let us trust the Lord. Let us give our burden to Him.

Have you heard that Song:

“God will make a way,
Where there seems to be no way …”

… He can make a way where none exist!

In the Book of Proverbs 3:5-6; the Bible says:

“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct thy Paths”.

What are we saying?

We are saying that: The four (4) F’s of Peace and Progress are life Changing ones to rest on God for the rest of your life on Earth.

The life we have is a borrowed one. We are only here for the time being.

All these Rat Race – trying to outdo others; we want to show off!

There are People who have troubled Nations in the Past; that children who are coming up today, don’t know anything about them.

Do what God has called you to do. Don’t put unnecessary burden on yourself.

You need to FORGIVE, you need to FORGET, you need to FORGO and you need to leave all FOR GOD.

Now:

1. You need to FORGIVE – If you want Peace of HEART because your heart will be free.
2. You need to FORGET – If you want the Peace of MIND.

That is the way it is!

3. You need to FORGO – If you want the Peace of your BODY.
4. And if you want an overall Peace and Success in life; you need to leave all FOR GOD.

He owns all things, He can do all things, He has all Power.

If you want to apply these things into your life, I Pray that God will give you Grace to be able to do it – Amen.

You need to apply all these if you want a meaningful life – You will have Peace and see Changes; you will have Satisfaction in Serving God.

You will have friends everywhere and you will have Success. And you will be able to Serve your God.

ALTAR CALL

But let me say to you my Brother, my Sister, Uncle, Aunty, Father, Mother:

1. That except you give your life to Him, FORGIVENESS will be difficult.
2. Except you give your life to Him, you will not be able to FORGET.
3. Except you give your life to Him, you will not be able to FORGO.
4. And until you have given your life to Him, you will still think your Strength and your Wisdom can give you what it takes.

… But you can still hand over to God!

Now, for those of you who are Born Again, apply these four (4) F’s of Peace and Progress.

Cod’s intention for us is a Good one. And He wants you and I to enjoy – He does not want us to be troubled.

And that is why I want us to Pray now.

Even as we Pray for about a minute, you are going to release everyone that have sinned against you.

… You are going to say: I FORGIVE YOU.

Those burdens you have carried because you come from a Polygamous family – Somebody injured you, jilted you and you are still suffering the ripple effect.

Now FORGIVE, you have your life ahead of you.

Say Lord, I release this fellow, I release them.

And those of you who want to surrender your lives to Jesus Christ, Please I beg of you, just tell Him: Let Your Blood wash me.

Say Lord: I am giving my life to You today. I release ALL into Your Hands. I want You to forgive me.

Cleanse me by Your Blood. I know Your blood has Power! – And let the Blood wash me.

And for those who are Believers, but you find it difficult to FORGIVE, to FORGET, to FORGO. You find it difficult to commit the issue into the Hands of God.

You can say: Lord, over to You, I surrender ALL – My Life, my Ambition, my Hurt, my Feelings, my Anger, my Anxiety.

… And I will Pray with you.

Thank You Father!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER

Eternal Father, we Thank You for the Word today. We Thank You because You have given us Your Words.

Everyone confessing their sins; the Lord who can FORGIVE, forgive them today, in the Name of Jesus!

You are the God of Forgiveness, let Your Blood wash them, in the Name of Jesus!

And I Pray that All Believers who are confessing their sins and who are making up their minds to forgive others; we Pray that You who can do all things, just do it in their lives again and let Your Name be Glorified.

We want to Pray that when all is said and done, give us the Power to do Your Will and let us make it to Heaven.

Thank You Eternal King! We Bless and Praise Your Name.

OPENING PRAYER

Eternal King we Praise Your Name because You are the ONLY Living God.

You don’t have a Beginning, no Middle and You do not have an End.

The Beginning, the End and the Middle, are actually compacted and fused to one in you.

Thank You because You are the Light! Lord Almighty, and You are the Mighty One.

We want to Thank You for what You are doing in our lives. Thank You for what You are doing on this Platform of Digging Deep.

Thank You for our father in the Lord who has allowed us to do all the things that we are doing.

We Pray for an increase in Strength for him; we Pray for Grace.

And Lord Almighty, we are asking that everyone that connects to this Programme every Tuesday on Dove Media or reading on the Label of DMC; we Pray that the Power of God will Tabernacle with them!

We are here today again to look at Your Word; Please, I confess I don’t know nothing!

I Pray that the Holy Spirit will operate through my mouth, my head and my heart for everyone watching and listening or reading on the Label of DMC.

That God Almighty, You will bless us together, teach us together. Mould our lives, encourage and just Strengthen our Faiths.

Heal all our diseases and we ask Oh God that You will remove every iniquities in our lives.

And Lord at the end of the day, let there be Miracles in our lives!

When all is said and done Lord, let the Word of God strengthen us for the Journey.

Thank You Eternal Father! We give You Glory, we give You Honour.

Holy Spirit just take over and let Your Counsel and Your Will be done.

Praise the Name of the LORD – Hallelujah!

Once again, we want to appreciate our father in the Lord. My own father in the Lord, for the opportunity and the Privilege that he has given to this Young Boy to keep coming to do this.

Today, in our Digging Deep, we want to study what we call: “CONVENIENT COMPANION VERSUS COVENANT COMPANION.”

GENESIS 17:1-2;

1 And when Abram was ninety years old and nine, the Lord appeared to Abram, and said unto him, I am the Almighty God; walk before Me, and be thou Perfect.

2 And I will make my Covenant between Me and thee, and will Multiply thee exceedingly.

… The Lord bless the reading and hearing of His Words.

Now, in the Scripture we just read to us, God is trying to establish a Covenant with Abraham.

And He told Abraham: Walk before Me, and be thou Perfect.

And this is the Foundation of walking with God – And may I say: it is the Foundation of Christianity.

Abraham, who happened to be the grandfather of Christianity; because God called him out of darkness into Light.

God went further to say: And I will make My Covenant between Me and thee, and will multiply thee exceedingly.

… That is a very loaded Promise!

But as you know, when we talk about the Covenant with God, it is a TWO (2) WAY TRAFFIC:

GOD’S Part, and Human Part.

Let’s see how far we can go today.

WHAT IS A COVENANT?

A COVENANT is a VERY STRONG Agreement.

And it is the highest level of relationship a man could have with his Maker – the Almighty God.

Because we are talking about the Almighty God here.

… What is a Covenant?

A Covenant is a Statement between two (2) Parties.

The Christian Covenant started between two (2) Parties – Father Abraham and God. Then that cascaded down to us.

God is a God of Covenant; everything God does, He does them by Covenant.

So God established His Relationship with Abraham by: A COVENANT OF SEVEN (7) FOLD PROMISES.

… We are not going into that today!

In the Book of Genesis 12:1-3, God established a relationship with Abraham by a Seven (7) Fold Blessing.

We are not going that round today. But I want you to know that Covenant, as it concerns and Pertains to us;

Because every Covenant comes with a Promise!

And that is why, where we read to us today; if you go down – Genesis 17:1-4.

Now, something is in that Particular Passage – Sometimes, a Covenant is backed up with an Oath and secured with a token.

So, when God makes a Covenant with any individual, He can never fail. Man may fail. But God cannot!

The Bible says to us in Hebrews 6:13 – We can see how God made a Promise to Abraham:

“For when God made Promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no Greater, he sware by himself,”

And you know God, because He does not have ability to change; Numbers 23:19 says God is not a man, God is GOD.

… That is a Study on its own!

God is God. Whenever He says anything, it turns out exactly to be what He wants to do!

SO, WHAT ARE THE TYPES OF COVENANTS HE HAD IN PLACE?

… Especially, as regarding you and I.

I will mention Seven (7) TYPES OF COVENANT:

1. Now, there is the Covenant of PEACE for you and I.

Isaiah 9:6, the Phrase I want to use there is: “The Prince of Peace.”

It says: “For unto us a child is born, unto us a Son is given: and the Government shall be upon his shoulder: and His Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, THE PRINCE OF PEACE.”

If you are in trouble, maybe you have not entered into that Covenant.

Remember, Jesus Christ Himself said in John 14:27: “PEACE I leave with you, MY PEACE I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

Now, look at what He said in John 14:1: “Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me.”

So, everyone that is Born Again, everyone that desires Good Life, everyone that desires Peace; you must enter into this Covenant with the Prince of Peace.

And if you are Born Again, you are already into this Covenant; because the Prince of Peace dwells in your life.

… So, Covenant of PEACE!

2. Covenant of FAVOUR.

In the Book of Daniel 1:9; “Now God had brought Daniel into FAVOUR and tender love with the Prince of the Eunuchs.”

We are talking about FAVOUR – When God favours you, no own can disfavour you!

In Exodus 3:21, the Bible says: “And I will give this People FAVOUR in the sight of the Egyptians: and it shall come to Pass, that, when ye go, ye shall not go empty:”
.
The People of Israel, God gave them FAVOUR in the sight of the Egyptians.

Psalms 102:13 (that Popular Passage): “Thou shalt arise, and have MERCY upon DMC Family (all all those reading now): for the time to FAVOUR her, yea, the set time, is come.”

So, put your name wherever you see ZION. Because you are the one in Place now!

… Covenant of Peace, Covenant of Favour. Now there is a third (3rd) Covenant;

3. Covenant of DIRECTION.

Everyone that is Born Again, you are not supposed to walk, and get lost in the wilderness of life because, there is a Covenant of Direction.

In Exodus 23:20, the Bible says: “Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the Place WHICH I HAVE PREPARED.”

There is a “Prepared Place” for you.

God is not a wicked Father; sending you to the world, without a direction, no compass – NO, that is not the GOD we serve.

No wonder, Paul when he was speaking in the Book of Romans 8:14 said: “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

Because the Bible says in John 1:12; “But as many as received him, to them gave He POWER to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:”

But let me quickly add, that even as a child of God: You also need to be sensitive. And get connected to the Holy Spirit in other for you to have Direction.

…Covenant of Direction!

4. Covenant of HEALING.

3 John 1:2 says: “Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest Prosper and be in HEALTH, even as thy soul Prospereth.”

We live in a world, that when the Doctors, the Medical Experts have reached their wit end, they tell you: “We are sorry, that is a bit that we know!” And they give up.

I have told you the story of a woman before.

Our father in the Lord, once upon a time, at the RCCG Throne of Grace at Ebute Meta; a woman came and Daddy G.O was not around but he left a word: That whenever I am not around, whosoever is my Assistant here, let the Person stand in.

This woman came with a loaded Report of Cancer. The Doctors said she had this cancer, and that the Secretary to the General Oversee directed her to me.

And I said, okay!

She said: Could you Please check all the Papers?

I said: I am not a Medical Doctor, I am a Pastor.

Initially, I was worried, but then I said well, the Secretary to the General Overseer has already directed her to me; so I will just do the Needful.

So, I said to her: Are you married?

She said No!

Then I said to her: God cannot afflict you with Cancer. He is a Good God and a Great Economist.

How can a Beautiful Lady like you, a Graduate (with a very bright future). Because I asked her the University she graduated from, her Field of Specialty.

Anyway, after all that, I said: I don’t think you have cancer.

She said: They told me I have cancer.

I said: Well, I am not a Medical Doctor, but I am telling you: you have come to this House and you have come to see my father in the Lord. I am not a Prophet, but I am a Son of a Prophet all the same!

So, I laid my hands on her and Prayed: Oh God, I know that this Lady cannot Possibly have Cancer; but if she has any, kill it.

Oh God, she has not come to me, but has come to the God of Baba G.O. May the Anointing on Pastor E.A Adeboye come and heal this Lady.

Lord, even beyond that, connect her to her God’s Ordained husband, because she is still Single.

Oh God, Thank You for hearing. In Jesus’ Name – Amen!

And she said: Is that all?

I said that is all – It is FINISHED.

And as she was going (holding the door) she said: So, what do I do? They said I will soon start Chemotherapy.

I said: DON’T GO THERE!

I calculated, and I said: after this Prayer, two (2) weeks, go and do another Test. Another two (2) weeks, go and do another Test.

And I now said: If the thing is still there – I calculated when Daddy G.O will come back from the Mountain. So I calculated like a Month and a half (1½), I said come back then.

And she left!

I Picked my intercom and said: “Hello, is that Daddy G.O Secretary? Why should you direct someone like that to me? If it is headache I know, if it is stomach ache I know. But Cancer – My anointing is not up to that!

He told me: That is what Daddy G.O told me to do!

And I said: When he send you like that, you should know the level of my Anointing.

He said well, I will rather obey my Boss than you!

He said is that okay, I said that is okay.

He said that is what Daddy G.O asked me to do, next time I will still do it.

… And he ended the call.

When she left, I said: Thank God it is not me she came to meet. If she does not get healed Praise God. If she gets healed, Praise God!

At least Daddy G.O will be around; and when he lays band on her, it will be gone!

So, two (2) Months later, I got a phone call: Hello, do you remember a Lady that came with Cancer?

I said, I remembered.

She said, I want to give you two (2) Good News.

She said:

1. Somebody has Proposed;

But that was not what I wanted to hear because when I Prayed that Prayer, I Prayed hanging it on the neck of Daddy G.O that well, God knows what to do!

2. She said, the second (2nd) one, I am coming from the third (3rd) Test. And the Doctors said there is NO CANCER ANYWHERE.

When I dropped the Phone, I said: Ha, God Please forgive me.

So, You do answer the Prayer of an Unbelieving Pastor?

Now, what I am saying is that Covenant of Healing is for every child of God. Things that kill others should not kill you – Amen.

But look at what He said in Isaiah 53:4-5: “Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our Peace was upon Him; and with His stripes we are healed.”

I am not an English major; but IT IS DONE.

… So, you have a Covenant of HEALING.

5. Covenant of DELIVERANCE.

Exodus 3:7-8 (Put that one down, because that is not where I want to read).

Psalms 27:1 says: “The LORD is my light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear?”

But Luke 4:18 is where I want to read – The Covenant of DELIVERANCE;

Luke 4:18 says: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because He hath anointed me to Preach the Gospel to the Poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to Preach DELIVERANCE to the Captives, and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at Liberty them that are bruised,”

This is why I like my father in the Lord – You know some People specialise in Deliverance. They say: I am a Deliverance Minister.

My father in the Lord says he is All Round Gospel Preacher.

And I like that one. Because when the Word of God goes deep down, it will cause Deliverance.

… So, you have a Covenant of DELIVERANCE.

6. Covenant of PROTECTION.

Revelation 3:10 (Put that one down).

But Psalms 91:1-2 says: “He that dwelleth in the Secret Place of the Most High shall abide under the SHADOW of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust.”

The Bible says in Isaiah 54:17 that: No weapon that is fashioned against you will Prosper.

… So, you have a Covenant of PROTECTION.

7. Covenant of PROSPERITY.

Listen, I said Seven (7) Types of Covenant:

• Covenant of PEACE,
• Covenant of FAVOUR,
• Covenant of DIRECTION,
• Covenant of HEALING,
• Covenant of DELIVERANCE
• Covenant of PROTECTION.

And Covenant of PROSPERITY!

In Deuteronomy 8:18, He says: I am the One that gives you Power to create Wealth.

So, wealth belongs to God.

Matthew 6:33 says: “But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

And in the Book of Philippians 4:19, it says: “But my God shall supply ALL YOUR NEEDS according to His Riches in Glory by Christ Jesus.”

You are entitled to Prosperity, if you are Born Again.

If you are not Born Again, give your life to Jesus today and you will begin to Prosper.

FACTS ABOUT GOD’S COVENANTS THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:

1. God cannot ALTER His Covenants.

God is not a man. He does not lie concerning His HOPE and Promise.

You are very important to God – And whatever He says concerning you, He will bring to Pass – Hebrews 6:18 and Numbers 23:19.

… God cannot Possibly change what He said.

2. When God makes a Covenant, ALL the Machineries in Heaven are set to make sure those Promises are carried out.

In Genesis 1:3, He said: Let there be Light!

.,. Of course, all the Machineries in Heaven complied immediately.

That is God!

3. God CANNOT BREAK His Covenant.

Jeremiah 33:20 says: “Thus saith the LORD; If ye can break my Covenant of the day, and my Covenant of the night, and that there should not be day and night in their Season;”

That is when you can break the Covenant of God.

… His Covenant is certain, deliberate

4. Every time God wants to move someone out of bondage or do Special Thing in someone’s life: He often ask for a Covenant.

Abraham is an example – God called him out in Genesis 12:1-3.

He came back to him in Genesis 13 and 15.

And in Genesis 17, God assured him about the surety of something that cannot fail.

In Genesis 18:1-13, God visited Abraham in other to bring to Manifestation, the Covenant He (God) made to him (Abraham).

Whatever He says to you is a POSSIBILITY and He will BRING IT TO PASS – Amen!

… Relax, because He is on your side.

5. God always acts by a Covenant.

Every ACT of God, is an Act of Covenant.

When He was about to bring the children of Israel out of the Land of Bondage, He asked for a Covenant in the Book of Exodus 12:3.

God does not bless anyone outside of the Covenant – NO! You have to be in the Covenant.

You can say everything about Israelites today, they are still BLESSED of God. Say anything about their land, they are still BLESSED. Say anything about the Jews, they are still BLESSED!

That is God’s Covenant – for God; His ways are straightforward.

… God always acts by Covenant.

6. In a Covenant of GOD with Man, the devil is always a LOSER. And I am happy about this – That the devil is always a LOSER.

If you are in a Covenant with God, He will always cause you to Triumph!

In 2 Corinthians 2:14, the Bible talks about how we TRIUMPH.

But I like John 10:10: “The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I AM COME that they might have LIFE, and that they might have it more ABUNDANTLY.”

7. Under the Covenant of God, there is REDEMPTION and SAFETY.

It is a Comprehensive Coverage; that makes you fully covered. He takes everything over from you – Your fight, your battle.

Because He said in Luke 10:19: “Behold, I give unto you Power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the Power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

And He said to them (when He was going away), He said to the Disciples in the Book of Matthew 28:18-20. He told them: “And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All Power is given unto me in Heaven and in Earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all Nations, Baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen.”

No wonder he told them in the Book of Acts of the Apostles 1:8: “But ye shall receive Power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be Witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost Part of the Earth.”

8. Everywhere you STEP into will become a SOLUTION – Under the Covenant with God.

Who would have ever thought David could kill Goliath?

But David was in a Covenant with God. And when he stepped into that Valley of God Elah , it became the Place of Victory.

9. Under the Covenant of God: He will BLESS your BREAD and your WATER; He will TAKE AWAY sickness.

Exodus 23:25-36 says: “And ye shall serve the LORD your God, and He shall bless thy bread, and thy water; and I will take sickness away from the midst of thee. There shall nothing cast their Young, nor be barren, in thy land: the number of thy days I will fulfil.”

When you enter into this Covenant with God: Every Evil Covenant that has been operating in your life will be nullified, cancelled. And they will Vanish.

In Hebrews 8:13, it says: “In that He saith, A New Covenant, He hath made the first old. Now that which decayeth and waxeth old is ready to vanish away.”

So, WHAT ARE WE SAYING?

You are under a NEW and a BETTER Covenant. I am, you are!

… If you are not there, I beg of you, in the Name of Jesus, come in today.

Lamentations 3:25 say: “The LORD is Good unto them that wait for Him, to the Soul that seeketh Him.”

God has a Waiting List – It is the List of things He Promised you in Life!

The List contains the expectations of God for your life. Absolutely, nothing is removed, nothing is subtracted.

As God remembered Noah, in the Book of Genesis 8:1, He will remember you for Good – Amen!

Under the Covenant, you will always be remembered. There is no way you can be forgotten in a hurry. You cannot be forgotten.

Your Memorial is always before Him. He has engraved you on His Palm – God is a God of Remembrance.

A NEW COVENANT!

In Revelation 5:9, answer the question:

WHY WOULD GOD REMEMBER YOU AND I IN A NEW COVENANT?

Let the Books of the Bible answer this for us; Revelation 5:9 gives us an answer: “And they sung a New Song, saying, Thou art worthy to take the Book, and to open the seals thereof: for thou wast slain, and hast Redeemed us to God by thy Blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and People, and Nation;”

1. So under a New Covenant, you are always remembered – He Paid the Ultimate Price for your Redemption.
2. If you are under a New Covenant through JESUS CHRIST: Barrenness, Emptiness, Sickness, Calamity, Frustration, are not your Portion!

They should be far away from you because you are IMMUNED (as it were!) To every atrocity of the devil.

3. What others call impossibility, will be a work over for you.

I mean, He said in Luke 10:19: “Behold, I give unto you Power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and over all the Power of the enemy: and nothing shall by any means hurt you.”

… Jesus overcome, for you!

4. Now, you will have New Degrees called: B.A. – You are Born Again!

M.Sc – Master over Situation and Circumstances.

PhD – Power over the Hosts of Darkness.

D.D – Destroyer of Demons.

It is the Covenant of God – Covenant of Blood that qualified you to be God’s Professor.

5. A man under the Covenant is bound to be ENVIED.

Isaac was envied. check that in Genesis 26:1-the end.

6. Under this Covenant, you are LOADED on a daily basis with BLESSINGS.

I mean, Psalms 68:19 says: “Blessed be the Lord, who daily loadeth us with benefits, even the God of our Salvation. Selah.”

7. Also, God Increases you MORE and MORE, in Christ.

… No shortage, inadequacy, in God!

Because Covenant of Sorry, Death, Pandemic, Calamities, will never touch you – Amen.

Because you are no longer under that region again.

WHAT IS BETTER UNDER THIS NEW COVENANT?

… I will quickly run down Seven (7) THINGS:

1. A New and a Better MESSAGE – Hebrews 1:1-2:

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time Past unto the fathers by the Prophets, Hath in these last days spoken unto us by his Son, whom he hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also he made the worlds;”

… New Message – Message of Hope!

2. BETTER THAN Angels.

We have Jesus – According to Hebrews 1:4 – “Being made so much better than the Angels, as he hath by inheritance obtained a more excellent name than they.”

… What do you have better?

3. You have BETTER HOPE.

The Lord made all things Perfect!

But the Covenant of God makes all things very, very good for us – Hebrews 7:19.

4. You have a BETTER SURETY – Hebrews 7:22.

Jesus has become the Surety of a Better Covenant to you.

5. BETTER PROMISES- Hebrews 8:6: “But now hath he obtained a more excellent Ministry, by how much also He is the Mediator of a Better Covenant, which was established upon Better Promises.”
6. BETTER SACRIFICE.

The things in Heaven should be Purified; The Blood of Jesus can handle Better Sacrifice.

7. BETTER HEAVENLY HOME.

“… Knowing in yourselves that ye have in Heaven a better and an enduring Substance” – Hebrews 10:34;

8. You have a BETTER FUTURE.

God, having Provide something better for us – Hebrews 11:40.

You have all those things, better and better for you.

• A New and a Better Message;
• Better than Angels;
• Better Hope;
• Better Surety;
• Better Promises;
• Better Sacrifice;

What is BETTER?

Better Heavenly Home;

• Better Future, you have!

HOW DO I ACTIVATE THE COVENANT OF THE BLESSING OF GOD?

… Let me mention few Things:

1. YOU MUST AVOID LOOSE LIFE.

Don’t give the enemy an opportunity to Point an accusing finger at you.

You cannot afford to live your life CARELESSLY.

I. To avoid loose live, you must watch your Association; Choose your friends.

The Bible says in Proverbs 13:20,: “He that walketh with Wise Men shall be Wise: but a companion of FOOLS shall be destroyed.”

… Move with the WISE

“Be not deceived: evil communications corrupt good manners.” – 1 Corinthians 15:33.

Young ones, Youths, Teenagers of our days: Mind who you walk with. Ask your Pastor, ask the People in Church questions.

Thank God for the Redeemed Christian Church of God: Ask question. Instead of asking People who do not know.

You must shut your eyes and your ears; because they are gateway to Polluted Programs. Be careful: The kind of Programs you watch; the kind of music that you listen to.

… How do you activate the Covenant?

2. HUMILITY.

Humility is the ability to remain quiet and avoid the temptation of striving to lift yourself above others.

God Himself hates anyone that is Proud.

And my father in the Lord has said it: Anyone who is Proud, God is his or her enemy.

So, God detests those who are Proud; because that was what sent the devil out of Heaven.

3. Maintain a POSITIVE and Biblical Confession of your Faith.

… It will show up as you Profess it.

Remember what God said to the People in the Book of Numbers 14:28.

He said: “Say unto them, As truly as I live, saith the LORD, as ye have spoken in mine ears, so will I do to you:”

Keep Praising God, surprise the devil. When he wants to make you cry – Just keep smiling.

4. Maintain CONSTANT Focus on Jesus.

… Keep your eyes on Him.

Hebrews 12:2 says: “Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith; who for the Joy that was set before Him endured the Cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the Right Hand of the Throne of God.”

The Book of Psalms 34:5 says: “They looked unto Him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.”

Keep your focus on the Kingdom.

In the Book of Numbers 21:8-9, the Bible commanded the children of Israel to look at the Brazen Serpent.

And as many of them who looked at the Brazen Serpent, they were delivered.

So look unto Him, let your eyes look unto Him

5. FULFIL YOUR VOWS.

A broken Vow will open door for the enemy to accuse you.

Please, always watch your mouth before you make a Vow.

Remember Jephthah in Judges 11:21-40.

Before you open your mouth, make sure you are ready to do what you Promise – Deuteronomy 23:21-23.

Make sure that you Pay your Vow.

If you have Unpaid Vow, Please go and Redeem it.

6. Do away with Bitterness and Unforgiveness.

In Matthew 6:8-15, our Lord JESUS said: When you Pray, forgive others. If you don’t forgive others, you will not be forgiven.

In Matthew 18:22-35; a servant, who refused to forgive his fellow servant was Judged with a great Judgment.

7. Continue to give Praise and Glory to God.

… That you are counted worthy to cut a Covenant with Him.

Let me conclude; the Blood also does better things in your life than the blood of Abel.

Under this Covenant, Mercy is there for you every morning.

Remember Galatians 3:13 says: “Christ hath Redeemed us from the curse of the Law, being made a curse for us: for it is written, Cursed is everyone that hangeth on a tree:”

You have REDEEMED us from the Curse;

But it is now left unto you to enter into the New Covenant.

ALTAR CALL

I don’t know where you are – If you are not yet Born Again, bow your head and Pray: God, I want to give my life to You.

And if you are Born Again, but you are not enjoying these Covenant, I will Pray with you.

Shall we just Pray?

Thank You Jesus!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING.

Father Eternal God, we Thank You for the People that are watching or reading on the Label of DMC, especially the People who are giving their lives today:

I Pray that you will forgive their sins, wash them from their iniquities; let the Blood of the Covenant work for them!

And let them enjoy the Promises of the Covenant from today.

And all the Believers who are hearing across the Globe, or reading now on the Label of DMC; Please, whatsoever is lacking in their lives within this Covenant, Please put it back there and let them enjoy them.

Let the Name of the Lord be Mightily Glorified!

Keep all of us to work and make it on Earth and make it to Heaven.

OPENING PRAYER

We want to appreciate You Alpha and Omega. The One that began the Beginning – The Unchangeable Changer, the King of Glory, the Ever Faithful God, the Husband Man; The One who has no Beginning, no Middle and will have no Ending – We just want to say THANK YOU.

Thank You Oh God for the Blessings that You have given to us even on this Platform of Digging Deep.

We want to appreciate You for Great Testimonies and very many Questions that drives us back to the Bible – We want to say THANK YOU.

Lord Almighty, we ask that as Your Words Proceed out today, let the Miracle of God be delivered; let the Hands of God be Mighty.

Lord, I Pray that this Young Man will disappear and the Holy Spirit will appear.

Lord, I empty myself from anything that may stand against Your Words – That even me as You are using my mouth to speak, I will hear it.

And Your Words will bring Salvation, Healing, Comfort and Deliverance.

And Lord, answer everyone who has sent their Prayer requests to this Platform – Please answer them.

And Lord, in Your Words today, Equip us to be a Mighty Instrument in the Hands of the Lord!

And we Pray that the Placement and the Investment of Heaven upon us will not be in Vain.

Lord, we will yield FRUITS that God can be Proud of.

Lord, we remember our father in the Lord that has given us this Platform; let Your Glory find Expressions More and More in His life. And Lord, grant Him Radiant Health!

Today we are going to look at what we Titled: “THE REDEMPTION OF FRUITLESS VINE.

LUKE 13:6-9

6 He spake also this parable; A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard; and he came and sought fruit thereon, and found none.

7 Then said he unto the dresser of his vineyard, Behold, these three years I come seeking fruit on this fig tree, and find none: cut it down; why cumbereth it the ground?

8 And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it:

9 And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.

May the Lord Bless the Reading and Hearing of His Words, in Name of Jesus – Amen!

… Loaded Passage!

When we Genuinely repent and begin living for God, the FRUITS in our lives will soon be evidence to all that Pass by – Those who are aware of our lives before.

The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17: “Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a New Creature: Old things are Passed away.”

In the Book of John 1:12, He said: But as many as received Him, to them gave Him Power to be FRUITFUL.

… He gave them Power to become like God Himself.

And likewise, a failure to repent and live for God will show a lack of FRUIT as evidence.

If we also read Romans 1:28 specifically says: “Because they failed to retain God in their knowledge, He turned them over to Reprobate Mind.”

So, the absence of FRUIT in our lives or in the lives of those People who claim to be God’s People, is an important issue in God’s Word.

For example, in Matthew 3:8, he said: “Bring forth therefore fruits meet for repentance:”

… That was John the Baptist speaking there.

In the Book of John 15:5, Jesus Himself said: “I am the Vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit.”

In John 15:8 Jesus is still speaking there – He said: “Herein is my Father Glorified, that ye bear much Fruit.”

But there is something that is very strong in Matthew 3:10 – “Every tree which bringeth not forth Good Fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire.”

So, when you compare the Bible Text of today (LUKE 13:6-9).

These few Passages that we have read – FRUITS: Real and Spiritual Fruits is a necessity. And should be a necessary concern for anyone who love God and desire to go to Heaven.

We shall look at the Parable of this Fruitless Vine or the Barren Fig Tree in three (3) different ways

Because in the day of Jesus (here on Earth) this was a Parable about the Jewish Nation. But it also contains some important Lessons for us today.

So, the Biblical Parable of Fruit bearing and the Principles He put forth is applicable to the Church.

… And that concerns You and I.

Three (3) aspects we want to consider in this Digging Deep:

1. We are going to do a GENERAL SURVEY of this Parable.

… That will be Sub Topic 1.

2. And we will look at the HINDRANCES to FRUITFULNESS of the Vine.
3. Lastly, we are going to look at the TIPS for Redemption of the Vine to FRUITFULNESS.

• General Survey of the Parable;
• Hindrances to Fruitfulness of the vine;
• And TIPS for the Redemption of the vine.

2. WHAT ARE THE GENERAL SURVEY OF THE PARABLE?

There are the things we need to look at in that Particular Passage:

In Verse 6, the Bible says: ‘A certain man has a Fig Tree’.

I. So the first thing we need to consider is: A PERSONAL ASSET

There are actually two (2) men mentioned in that Particular Passage:

• The Owner of the Vine yard – It says: ‘He Planted the tree in his Vine yard’.
• And the Vine yard Keeper – Who was Probably an employee in charge of the farm.

Do the cutting down the Fig Tree was a drastic action?

But it was well within the right of the Owner – It was His Vineyard, it was his tree. He could do what He Pleased with it.

We are also like a tree Planted in the Vineyard of God – Supposed you decide to Paint your house the colour you choose. Somebody else comes from outside and say: No, I don’t like that colour, Paint it with this my colour.

Would you just go ahead and say: Okay, Paint the house in the colour he likes? – No, you will refuse.

WHY? – Because it is not his own house, it is your house. So you are the owner of your house.

… The Owner has the Rights of Ownership.

The Rights of Ownership carry the Right Determination.

Like, God owns the whole world and He owns everything in it. He owns each of us. And so He has all the right to deal with us the way He wants.

And do you know what we do today? We behave as if we have no Owner.

He has every rights to expect anything He chooses in our lives – He is our Owner!

Paul asked in Romans 9:20-21: “Nay but, O man, who art thou that repliest against God? Shall the thing formed say to Him that formed it, Why hast thou made me thus? Hath not the Potter Power over the clay, of the same lump to make one vessel unto honour, and another unto dishonour?”

We live in an era where People talk back at God all the time; forgetting that we are His creation and that He can do whatever He wants with our lives.

Most especially those of us who are Born Again – You are planted in the Vineyard of the Lord.

So, a Sign that the Gardener or Vine Dresser has been there, is very, very clear – Very, very obvious;

The vine is tender – It has been pruned, cleaned, and tied to the harbour.

So, the Season of care should be followed by the Harvest season – But this Man did not get the expected Fruits.

But remember – It is his Personal Asset. God is your Legal Owner, He is my Legal Owner.

Not like the story of a woman that I heard: A woman in her early sixties (60s). She went to the Grocery, Parked her car in the Car Park.

When she finished Shopping, she came out and she found four (4) People in the car. And she threw down the Groceries, took her purse, brought out a gun. Point the gun to the People in her car.

She said to the four (4) men in her car: if you don’t come down from the car, I will kill all of you. And the People ran away in terror.

So, when the woman Pulled herself together, she put the Groceries in the car. She got to the ignition, tried to put the key, it did not enter. She looked and said this does not look like my car.

She suddenly realised that she has become Part of the Nation’s Crime of Car Hijackers.

So, she closed the door of the car, got into her own car and drove to the Police Station and report herself that she had made a mistake.

And the Police Officer on duty was laughing.

And she said: Why are you laughing? And he said look at the other desk – Four (4) men just ran in, making report that a woman in her early sixties (60s) just hijacked their car.

So, then woman Pleaded with those People and they did not put any charge on her.

But God is our Original Owner and He can never mistake His Property.

When you check the Book of 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 – Because He is our Legal Owner.

“What? know ye not that your body is the Temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? For ye are bought with a Price: therefore Glorify God in your body, and in your Spirit, which are God’s.”

God has the right to tell us what He expects from us.

And from the Parable, God expects you and I to Produce Fruits for Him.

I just want you to remember that such an expectation is well within the reach and the Rights of your Owner.

II. ADVANTAGE LOCATION.

Verse 6 says: “A fig tree which has been Planted in the VINEYARD.

… The Fig tree enjoyed certain Advantages, not Possessed by other fig trees – Many fig trees on the wayside; no one fertilize them, no one care for them. They survives on shallow and scarce Nutrients.

But this one, is well taken care of – Enjoyed Good Care, with Keepers there to Watch over it.

.., There is enough Nourishment.

Now, God has put His Chosen People in a Favoured Position.

He lavished care on you and I. He has taken interest in us. He send Prophets to put regular fertilization of His Words in our lives. He sent Apostles, He sent Pastors, Teachers and Administrator.

Doesn’t it seem obvious that He will expect Returns on His Investments?

Yet, with all these advantage that we have; well, many turn out not bearing fruits.

… He did not find fruits in the life of those He favoured.

What about us?

God lavished all He has on us. The Word of God is widely circulated today; we have Prophets, we have CDs, we have Cassette, we have Radio Programme, we have Television Programme, we have Computers all around us – We are indeed Planted in a Privileged Place. Yet, we are not Producing appropriate fruits.

Doesn’t it follow that the Owner of the Vineyard invested so much in us, hence, there should be much Fruits?

… Personal Assets, Advantage Location.

III. ANTICIPATED PRODUCTION.

Now, what is the expectations of the Owner of the Vineyard?

In verse 6: He came LOOKING FOR FRUITS – The fig tree in this Parable had leaves.

… A Fig tree cannot survive without leaves.

But it had no FRUITS, after three (3) years! – Israel were Religious People having lots of leaves.

In fact, there will be Hard Press to find more Religious Nation anywhere in the world, than the Nation of Israel, in the time of Christ.

Religion was their heartbeat – I mean, attendance to Church Services in Jerusalem was expected, if not required.

People regularly died for their Nation and for their religion. Yet, this Parable is prefigured: They had no FRUITS.

… So they were cut down.

Do you know the difference between Leaves and Fruits today?

All Religion and all People are going to Church, all these are taking place in our country:

• Where is the influence of this in our Culture?
• Where are the changed lives?
• Why is it that Honesty and Honour are in short supply?
• I mean, where do we find People of Integrity?

We often bemoan the direction of Nation, that they are going away from God.

We blamed the Politicians, we blamed the Political Parties, we blamed the unbelievers for controlling the Media.

Yet none of these things could have had any influence, if we are following the Lord and we are bearing fruits.

May I say to you, Brothers and Sisters: God is looking for Fruits in our lives.

He is not talking about List of Crying: Lord, I will do this! List of merely sitting in Church building and dancing to Music.

No, He wants fruits in our lives – According to the Passage; He will cut down and remove those who do not bear fruit.

May you not be cut down, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!

… Personal Asset, Advantage Location,Anticipated Production.

IV. GRIEVANCE AGAINST FRUITLESS VINE.

He says: “Behold these three (3) years, I have come looking for Fruit on these leaves, without finding any.”

There is an intimation here: Here is God’s forbearance for His People who have been Planted in the Vineyard.

There should have been Fruits for three (3) years – But nothing!

There is a dissatisfaction, disappointment each year – So, He said ‘I will cut it down’.

WHY? – The Owner is giving every reasonable opportunity for Production of fruits. He does not want to destroy the tree.

And I Pray, we will not be cut down, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

You and I should bear fruits so that we will not be removed.

He said: “I did not find any.”

So, Personal Asset, Advantage Location, Anticipated Production, Grievance against Fruitless vine.

V. THE VERDICT AGAINST FRUITLESS VINE

And this part of the Parable is very simple to understand; look at what He said in verse 7 – “Cut it down! Why does it even use up the ground?

What a terrifying thought, to imagine God saying that one of us: “Cut it down, it does not even worth the space that it takes on the Ground.”

It is quite very easy for us living into the age of Grace to be deceived into a False sense of Security – Thinking that such a thing would never happen.

But the Patience of God should not be confused with the largeness of His heart – God is not a slack concerning His Promises.

Apostle Paul when he was talking to the Roman Christians said in Romans 2:4:

“Or despisest thou the riches of his Goodness and forbearance and longsuffering; not knowing that the Goodness of God leadeth thee to repentance?”

… Don’t let us abuse the Grace of God.

Besides, Producing Fruits in life is a Process – It is not something you do for few days, few weeks or Months. It is a lifetime – you continually bear fruit.

The same thing you need to do Spiritually – So, you will need to bear fruits for Him.

We are Personal Assets of God, we are at Advantage Location, there is an Anticipated Production we need to do; then He has Grievance against Fruitless Vine and His Verdict.

… Let me quickly mention two (2) more things, before I move to other things.

VI. THE SUPPLICATION FOR PATIENCE

Notice that the Vineyard Keeper Interceded for the Tree.

An Interceder stepped in between the two (2) Parties, just to reach an Agreement – Now to give one of them another chance.

In Luke 13:8-9; the Bible tells us: “And he answering said unto him, Lord, let it alone this year also, till I shall dig about it, and dung it: And if it bear fruit, well: and if not, then after that thou shalt cut it down.”

What a beautiful Prefigure of Jesus’ Ministering among the JEWS!

But may I say to you that, that is true of us today!

Listen to the Word if Jesus in Matthew 23 and Luke 13 – When He was talking about His People; He said:

“Oh Jerusalem who killed the Prophets and stoned those who are sent to her. How often I wanted to gather you as children together, the way the hen gather her chick under her wings. But you are unwilling. Behold your house is been left to you desolate.

In our Parable that we are examining today: it is the fig tree that is cut down.

But who was the Interceder in Israel’s case?

• A Prophet of God sent to intercede for them;
• Then THE PROPHET (Jesus Christ Himself).

Again, this is History. We are not doing History Lesson, but we are bringing it in to our lives.

This Passage has meaning for us today: Christ has interceded for us and continues to do so, as I speak.

That intercession is not, so that we can continue to do NOTHING about God’s expectations.

VII. DEFERRED JUDGEMENT.

Notice the element of warning to us, that gang at the end of verse 9. It says: “If not, CUT IT DOWN.

As History Lesson: that if NOT was fulfilled for Israel, because they failed to utilise the extension of time God gave them.

But what about us today? What about you and I today?

• Will you UTILISE the Extension of the Grace of God?
• When will you STOP sinning?
• When will you get CLOSER to God?
• When will you start BEARING FRUITS?

All these supports that you have from God; they are for you to BEAR FRUIT, they are for me to BEAR FRUIT.

Seven (7) things I have mentioned, before I jump to the other Sub Topics:

• The Personal Asset of the Owner;
• Advantage Location of the Fig;
• Anticipated Production from the Owner;
• The Grievance against the fruitless Vine;
• The Verdict against fruitless Vine;
• The Supplication for Patient, and;
• The Deferred Judgement.

1. HINDRANCES TO FRUITFULNESS OF THE VINE.

… Let me quickly mention Four (4) Things:

Now, combining the accounts of MATTHEW, MARK and LUKE; we can identify four (4) Factors responsible for FRUITLESS Vine:

I. CARES OF LIFE.

Matthew 13:22 says: “He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the Word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the Word, and he becometh unfruitful.*

Now, what do we mean by that?

The “Cares of Life” refers to things of this world that Christians become Obsessed and Preoccupied with.

The “Cares of this Life” are wide range of things: Career, Educational Pursuit, Ambition, Responsibility, Duties and other Material things.

In the world that we live today – where Success is measured by Money and other Material things; Christians are tempted to follow a Twenty first (21st) Century that Care about all these things.

… They are likely going to abandon the Major things.

Christians should not be OBSESSED; Pursuing Material Things – Because the Bible says in Matthew 6:33:

“But seek ye first the KINGDOM OF GOD, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.”

II. DECEITFULNESS OF RICHES.

… I am talking about Hindrances to Fruitfulness.

Mark 4:19 says: “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”

What do we mean by this?

Deceitfulness of Riches refer to People’s heart that are deceived by quest for RICHES.

Deceitfulness of Riches encompasses the shady means People become so rich – Such as: Corruption, Prostitution, Bribery, Murder, Pride, Arrogance, Extravagant Living.

There are Excesses to characterise the life of worldly lived Person.

It is worth mentioning that many Christians have been deceived today. They have lost their Values; they started Stealing and Cheating.

And some of those who are already rich (Christian way), they have entangled themselves with something that is not of God and because they failed to bear Good Fruits, they became something else.

III. THE LUST OF OTHER THINGS.

Look at what He says in Mark 4:19: “And the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lusts of other things entering in, choke the word, and it becometh unfruitful.”

So what is He saying?

The “Lust of Things” means (in Greek word) ‘Epitumia’ – Which means having a desire for what is forbidden.

Now, the Phrase in that Particular Mark 4:19, could refer to Circular Entertainments – Fame, Riches, Sexual Pleasure – Which has become most Part of Carnal Nature of unbelievers today.

I mean, you see something, and you are amazed: Alcohol, Porn, Illicit sex, etc. And some Christian Brothers and Sisters have smuggled themselves into this – And they still appear in Church looking so sanctimonious and Holy.

Lust of Other Things! – A Christian who is a Fruitful Vine must never get entangled.

You want to bear Fruits? Do not get entangled!

IV. THE PLEASURE OF THIS LIFE.

… I am talking about something that could hinder us from bearing Fruits.

Luke 8:14 says: “And that which fell among thorns are they, which, when they have heard, go forth, and are choked with cares and riches and Pleasures of this life, and bring no fruit to Perfection.”

So what is that saying to us?

It is saying: Sinful Activities; which include Drug Abuse, Alcoholism, Promiscuity, Greed, Circular Music.

You know today, I hear some Christians say: No, there is no Problem with that. Carnal Pleasure!

And these Factors are: Cares of Life, Deceitfulness of Riches, Lust of other things and Pleasures of Life – Would rather lead Christians to errors; will lead them to become Victims of Fruitless Vine. Hatred will become the order of the day, Greed, Covetousness, and Lasciviousness.

But these are not the kind of Fruits God want us to bear.

How Do I Bear Fruit that will lead to the Redemption of the Vine to Fruitfulness?

…. Five (5) THINGS, I will call them quickly:

3. TIPS FOR THE REDEMPTION OF THE VINE TO FRUITFULNESS:

I. Place your Life directly in the HANDS OF GOD.

When a Plant gets Light, then it will grow. Get the Light of God’s Word and let it grow.

Psalms 27:1 (I like this) says: “The LORD is my Light and my Salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the Strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?”

In Acts 20:24; the Bible says: “But none of these things move me, neither count I my life dear unto myself, so that I might finish my course with Joy, and the Ministry, which I have received of the Lord Jesus, to testify the Gospel of the Grace of God.”

… Place your Life in His Hands.

II. Make sure you ABIDE IN HIM.

Make Him your Abode – Make sure that you have Shelter in His High Wings.

The Bible says: You need to dwell in His Safe Place.

In Psalms 27:4; the Bible says: “One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his Temple.”

In Psalms 91:1; the Bible says: “He that dwelleth in the Secret Place of the Most High shall abide under the Shadow of the Almighty.”

… Dwell, make Him your Abode.

III. Add COMPOST or MANURE to the SOIL of your life .

Add Spiritual Fertilizer to your life – To be able to bear Fruit, Spiritual Fertilizer is needed.

Pray that your life will open to CHANGE.

Psalms 34:5 says: “They looked unto him, and were lightened: and their faces were not ashamed.”

James 5:11 says: “Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very Pitiful, and of tender Mercy.

IV. GET SUPPORT from the Lord.

Let God take care – Lean upon God.

Psalms 55:22 says: “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and He shall sustain thee: He shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.”

Matthew 11:28; says: “Come unto Me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you REST.”

V. Let the Master PRUNE YOU.

The Master should PRUNE your life. Let God shape you – Even when it HURTS!

John 15:2 says: “Every branch in me that beareth not fruit he taketh away: and every branch that beareth fruit, he purgeth it, that it may bring forth more fruit.”

Hebrews 12:7 says: “If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?”

Let the Lord water you into a Delicious Entity, then the world will take a bite and they will fight to know more of your God; because your FRUIT IS GOOD! And you will lead other people to bear fruits.

Let me conclude; we need to take stock of our lives – We are all in the Probationary Period of the Fourth (4th) Year – You and I.

Jesus Christ, the Vineyard Keeper has made intercession for us. He is our Senior Advocate.

He did not do that to grant us more time to do nothing for God. He expects us to use the time we have remaining, to Produce Fruits in our lives.

The Fruitless Vine will be cut off and put in the fire.

…May that not be your Portion. Amen!

You have Pledged your allegiance to Christ:

I. So that you will bear Fruits for Him.

II. So that you will follow Him, and bear Fruits for Him.

My life does not depend on your own fruit; your life does not depend on my own fruit.

This Digging Deep comes straight from God to you and I;

To bring forth FRUITS keeping with Repentance.

… May Gos Bless you, as you bear Fruits.

ALTAR CALL:

If you are there and you are not Born Again – You have not started at all.

Remember that there is a GENERAL THING God expects from you.

There are HINDRANCES you need to avoid.

And there are WAYS (TIPS) for you to bear Fruits for your Master.

Wherever you are now, or reading now on the Label of DMC; if you are not Born Again, tell the Lord: Please, save me.

And if you are Born Again and you are not Fruitful – How can you be in a Church for three (3) to five (5) Years and you are not Bearing Fruit?

Evangelism, you are not there; Vigil, you are not there; Midweek Service you are not there.

… You are so busy; at the end, what will you do?

Bow your head with me, I am about to Pray.

If you want to be Born Again, just tell the Lord: Lord, I am here.

If you are Born Again, ask the Lord: Empower me to bear fruits.

… I want to Pray with you;

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING:

Father Thank You for the People who are confessing their sins.

May You forgive them and write their names in the “BOOK OF LIFE.”

I Pray that from today: everything that corrupts their lives will be removed.

Let the Blood of Jesus Christ CLEANSE them!

The Senior Advocate of Heaven – Jesus: I ask that as You are Pleading their course, may their head receive the answer.

And ALL Believers that have not been bearing Fruits, i Pray as from today: May they have a change of heart. May they be STIRRED UP to bear Fruits.

And Lord, when You come for us, You will not say: “CUT IT DOWN!”

That we will be able to reign Eternally with You!

Thank You our Maker, we worship You for hearing.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we Pray – AMEN!
