OPENING PRAYER

Eternal Father, we want to give You Thanks. We give You Glory, we give You Honour, we give You Majesty!

You are the Commander in Chief of the Heaven and the Earth; no one is as great as You are.

You remain the Only God that has the Exclusive Monopoly of making man:

Thank You for what You have done and what You are doing. To You be Glory, to You be Honour, to You be Majesty!

We want to appreciate Your great Name; accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus!

Lord, we have come to the Table of God today to Study; to dig deep.

We Pray that the Holy Spirit – The Great Teacher will take us Deeper, will take us Higher; will do in our lives that which no one can do.

You will Perfect and Perform Your wonders in our Christian life and in our lives in general.

Today Lord, we Pray that the Word of God would bring Blessings, would bring Joy; Favour to the People of God.

Where we need to adjust, the Word of God would correct us, and we would do the adjustment immediately.

Lord, I confess my ignorance and my lack of knowledge: Holy Spirit, take over and let Your Will be done!

We Thank the Lord once again for the Privilege to look at the Word of God.

Today, we are going to be looking at: “NEVER PLANT THE SEED OF DISCORD.”

Proverbs 6: 14 and 19;

14 Frowardness is in his heart, he deviseth mischief continually; he soweth discord.

… He soweth DISCORD.

19 A False Witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.

The Lord bless the Reading and Hearing of His Words, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

This is a Counsel from the Wisest King that ever lived – Way back, in the Old Testament.

And now, it is more real in our own Generation, than it was then!

God created us to live in Unity.

In the Book of Psalms 133:1, it says: “Behold, how GOOD and how Pleasant it is for Brethren to dwell together in Unity.”

When Believers are United; when they work together, they are like multiple cord that cannot be broken – They are stronger together.

We are better able to endure the attack of the enemy!

… That is what the Book of Ecclesiastes 4:12 said:

“And if one Prevail against him, two shall withstand him; and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.”

When someone sow DISCORD, he or she attempts to undo the three fold cord – Thereby destroying the Unity.

In Proverbs 16:28 – “A Perverse man sows strife, And a whisperer separates the best of friends.”

Believers devoid of Unity are weaker; they are vulnerable to the enemy’s attack.

God said in His Book (the Holy Bible), He hate some things. And one of them is: “A Person who sow DISCORD among Brethren.”

Some are too ready to quarrel, some are too ready to fight.

A Person will stir strife because he wants to be in control; he wants to get honour or wants a combination of both.

And our responsibility as a Believer is to help our brothers and sisters to be edify and to build them up and not to tear them down!

Not only that: Those outside are watching for us to exhibit the Fruits of Love, Peace and help quench the heat of quarrel.

Sowing discord is one of the most abominable sins in the Bible.

It is a wicked sin fathered by Pride – Which is the exact sin that was found in Lucifer: when he sowed the seed of DISCORD to one third (⅓) of the Angels in Heaven to disobey God.

The “SEED of DISCORD” Is sown in secret by Hypocrites, the Gossips, the Liars and Deceivers.

And you should know the devil is the father of all these.

I. Sowers of DISCORD are False Witness who breathe out lies and deceits;

II. Sowers of DISCORD start small – Like little drops of water, then spread to flood and destroy Good things of life.

And most cases, some of the destructions are irreversible because they cause damages to the heart and situations.

Sowing the seed of Discord generate distrust among Brethren; and also generate Arguments that lead to a fight.

Usually, the sower of DISCORD acts as if he or she is trying to settle argument – People spreading false rumours don’t have the intention that their action can destroy.

… And this starts by sowing DISCORD.

I’m Praying that everywhere DISCORD is found: in any Organization, in any home; the Almighty God would deal with it, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

In Proverbs 17:9 the Bible says: “He that covereth a transgression seeketh love; but he that repeated a matter separateth very friends.”

Sowing discord among the Brethren is an Abomination.

It is totally detestable in the sight of God – God hate it.

In Proverbs 6:16-19:

“These six things doth the Lord hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto Him: A Proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief, A False Witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren.”

It is a fallacy to think that sowing DISCORD is harmless!

Whether in the Office, in the Church or at Home; God says anyone involved in this is an Abominable Person because the Act is an Abomination to God.

God hate the act of sowing DISCORD and strongly denies those who sow strives.

In Proverbs 16:28, the Bible says: “A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.”

God hates DISCORD because it violates the Unity that Jesus Christ Prayed for.

John Chapter 17 is a Prayer of Unity for the Church:

The damages, the oneness of the Body of Christ, which Apostle Paul Prayed for in Ephesians 4:1-16.

The Badge of Christianity, the Badge of Discipleship, the Badge to show that one is a Light Bearer is love according to John 13:34-35.

DISCORD destroys the Bound of Love.

“Did you hear what that man is doing?” – You are sowing DISCORD.

If you go to one man and you ate saying negative things about someone, you are sowing the Seed of Discord.

Because the Second Person’s opinion will automatically be influenced.

… “Oh, I heard that so and so, is saying something about you.”

You are sowing the he Seed of DISCORD.

The sowing of the Seed of DISCORD according to Proverbs 6:12-14 (NKJV) is:

“A Worthless Person, a wicked man, Walks with a Perverse mouth; He winks with his eyes, He shuffles his feet, He Points with his fingers; Perversity is in his heart, He devises evil continually, He sows discord.”

It is a Symbol of someone doing something for his own gratification.

Sower of DISCORD sow the seed of Bitterness, Distrust and Anger; they sow the seed of hatred into the People’s heart.

These actions do not come from the Spirit of God, they are from the he devil – From the pit of hell.

And it is so common today, in the world we live in. And these things ought not to be so among Christians; It ought not to be so in Organizations; it ought not to be so in homes.

DISCORD is part of the Works of the Flesh that Galatians 5:20 mentioned.

It said: “Idolatry, Sorcery, hatred, contentions, jealousies, outbursts of wrath, selfish ambitions, dissensions, heresies,”

They are usually driven by Self Interest, and it’s scorch to entangle their victims.

Discord Sower exploit the Passion and emotions of others. And more often than not, they derive Pleasure in tormenting others.

Sometimes, they are aware of what they are doing; sometimes, they just play into the hand of the Spiritual Force of the devil.

And their Mission is to cause commotion, to cause disunity and make People go against each other.

And when this happens, there are all kind of injuries, suspicion.

The Sower of Discord Plot the Vulnerability of others; seeking for their weak points to expose and to exploit.

They may have Valid Points; but generally, they do not offer Constructive Solution.

Instead of Pulling God’s People down, why don’t you think of taking them up?

They don’t say they are angry whether with the System, or with an individual but they go round to gain grounds.

PEOPLE WHO SOW DISCORD;

1. They attack People instead of the Problem!

When there is a Problem in a Place, you need to find Solutions.

But they go round leaving the Problems, and attack the People.

And the Sower of Discord attract followers to make their divisive roles Stronger. And Present themselves to be working for a Good cause.

It is easier to focus on yourself, when you are looking at others critically.

And Jesus was talking to His disciples, He said: “Why do you see the speck on another man’s eye, when there is a log in your own eye?”

So, People who sow DISCORD, open up emotions for the People to generate negative thought.

Please, all believers – Everyone who is truly Born Again; “You must guard your heart with all diligent, for out of it are the issues of life” – Proverbs 4:23.

2. They are concerned with Foolish and Ignorant things – 2 Timothy 2:23.
3. They are Stumbling Blocks to others – Luke 17:1-2;

… I hope you are not one of them?

4. They are to be MARKED and AVOIDED.

Apostle Paul said in Romans 16:17: “Now I beseech you, Brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them.”

If your brother sin against you, go and tell him his fault; if he does not listen, go and inform the Elders.

And there is a Process of amicable Settlement:

When you check the Old Testament Archive, a story was told about Absalom – A proud Young man and one of the sons of David.

He used his Good looks and smooth talk to swap the People to himself. He caused division in Israel.

2 Samuel 14:20-29, Absalom sowed discord and was eventually consumed in his Plot.

Anyone who sows the seed of Discord; seed of Division, seed that makes People go against each other is working for the devil. And your life is being destroyed gradually.

In fact,the Punishment of all those who sow Discord, will be greater than that of Absalom who suffered Untimely death.

… You need to shun it!

5. Sowing the seed of Discord means you sow your SEED CAREFULLY.

And a sower does not sow haphazardly; they don’t sow accidentally; but they have a careful Plan they sow to get maximum reward.

But when they sow a seed, they want to reap an harvest.

That little thing you sow; comes back to you – thirty (30), sixty (60) and one hundred (100) fold.

So, those who sow seed of Discord so cunning craftiness; they sow the seed, like an Apple seed sown: A seed will Produce a Tree, a tree will Produce fruit and the fruit an harvest, and then a wilderness!

David wrote in Psalms 55:21(because those who sow seed of discord have sugar coated tongue): “The words of his mouth were smoother than butter, but war was in his heart.’

That’s a Perfect example of someone who sows the Seed of DISCORD.

And most of them have envious spirit!

WHAT KIND OF SEEDS PRODUCE AN HARVEST OF DISCORD AMONG PEOPLE?

I will mention just a few of them;

1. The Seed of PRIDE.

Pride goes before destruction!

The Pride insists: “I am better, and therefore deserves to be better treated than others.”

“My opinion must be heard! And if my opinion is not heard, I will make my discontent known.”

… This attitude is divisive – it divides!

Consider others better than yourself – That is what the Bible says!

Considering others better than yourself, foster Unity; considering yourself better than others, foster Division.

2. The Seed of SELFISHNESS.

When we demand our way should be the way, or else any other way is not the way!

Rather than insisting on having your way, let other People also have.

3. The Seed of GOSSIP.

This seed is a significant destroyer of harmony – Like a juicy secret.

Proverbs 18:8 says: “The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost Parts of the belly.”

Proverbs 16:28 says: “A froward man soweth strife: and a whisperer separateth chief friends.”

People who engage in gossips have too much time in their hand and less of work.

2 Thessalonians 3:11 says:

“For we hear that there are some which walk among you disorderly, working not at all, but are busybodies.”

They lack Purpose; 1 Timothy 5:12-13.

Gossip is a sin listed among Murderers and Thieves – 1 Peter 4:15.

It kills one’s reputation and takes away one’s respect.

In the Book of Ephesian 4:31-32 – Put away evil talk.

And Titus 3:1-2 says: “… And don’t speak evil of anyone.”

WHAT ARE THE EFFECTS OF SOWING DISCORD?

1. It destroys the Unity of and Organization; it destroys Church Joy and Testimony.
2. It distracts the People of God from focusing on Major things.
3. It impairs Purpose for which God called the Church; and that of an Organization.
4. It weakens Worship and retards our Spiritual Growth. And hinders the Vision of Saving Souls.
5. It hurts everyone in the family and results in weariness of mind.
6. It is a burden on our hearts resulting in heaviness of the Spirit.

The effect is a nagging Spiritual headache that seek relieved; but alas, is very far!

In James 3:16; the Bible says: “For where envying and strife is, there is confusion and every evil work.”

In such circumstances, the Children of God cannot grow as Planned.

WHO ARE THE VICTIMS OF DISCORD?

1. The Victims are always the People who are Successful.

Look at it in Psalms 37:12 – “The wicked Plotted against the Just, and gnashed on him with his teeth.”

Their targets are the People who are making Progress.

Watch out for the People who are sowing the seed of Discord – They are always at the back! – Just like back biters are always at the back to fulfil their Ministry.

2. And their targets are People who are Focused.

People who are making Progress and making sure their Vision is realised.

HOW TO AVOID BEING A DISCORD SOWER?

1. Avoid those who are Divisive. Romans 16:17 and Titus 3:10 – reject them.
2. Avoid things that tend to cause Division.

Paul told Timothy in the Book of 1 Timothy 6:20: “O Timothy, keep that which is committed to thy trust, avoiding Profane and vain babblings, and oppositions of science falsely so called:”

… It is a Subject of activity that Produces division!

3. The Best way to Promote Unity is to Adopt the Mind of Christ.

Philippians 2:1-11 says: “Let this mind also be in you, which was in Christ Jesus.”

… The mind of Humility!

Christ was so focused, and he was so humble to follow up and to finish his work – Christ is our focus!

4. Be not conform to this world.

Romans 12:2 says: “And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

If you receive Jesus Christ into your life, now you make it easy. And if you are one of the People sowing discord; repent today!

I am not talking about Speaking in Tongues – No! I’m not talking about your achievements;

I am talking about “Whether you are a Discord Sower or not.”

5. You should stop comparing yourself with somebody.

2 Corinthians 10:10-18 says: “For we dare not make ourselves of the number, or compare ourselves with some that commend themselves: but they measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves, are not wise.”

6. Keep your mind occupied with the things of God not man.

Matthew 12:34 says: “O Generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak Good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.”

We must do all we can to avoid sowing Discord; remembering that every idle word shall be judged.

7. Swallow your Personal Pride.

Humble yourself in God’s sight and do everything to the Glory of God – 1 Peter 5:5-6.

8. Recommit yourself to steering up Love and Good works – Hebrews 10:24-25.

What is it that we are saying?

God hate those who sow the Seed of Discord.

Are you one of them? Are you even Part of the Body of Christ?

Listen to this: “One little grain of sand cannot do much on its own; but when they come together, they can resist the ocean” – Jeremiah 5:22;

God’s people can accomplish more in UNITY.

Therefore, Ephesians 4:3 says:

“Endeavouring to keep the Unity of the Spirit in the bond of Peace.”

Love BINDS us while discord SEPARATES us;

God hates those who sow Discord. God’s People are PEACEABLE.

Jesus Himself declared: “Blessed are the Peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” – Matthew 5:9

But let me ask you: Are you a Discord Sower?

… Never Plant the Seed of Discord!

If you have been doing it, it doesn’t matter what level you are; you can repent today.

ALTAR CALL

If you are not Born Again, give God a chance – Let Him handle the matter.

I want you to bow your head wherever you are; because many of you want to give your life to Jesus – Let Him have His way.

… And I will Pray with you.

Those of you looking for favour; but in order to get that favour, you are discussing People. That’s not it – TALK ABOUT CHRIST.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER.

Father in Heaven, Thank You for the Word today.

You have given us this Topic and we have been able to do Justice to it.

Lord, the few we have said, King of Glory, as many who are repenting and surrendering their lives to You; we ask that You would receive them to Yourself, forgive their sins, write their names in the “Book of Life” and keep them to work with You.

All the People who are saying amen with them, iniquity will not be found in their tents.

We ask that this day; for as many Believers who find themselves sowing the SEED of DISCORD and as they are confessing; Please, forgive them and put them on the Proper Platform today so that they can fulfil Purpose and Destiny.

And Lord Almighty, from this day onward, let their Prayers be answered, let their troubles be cleared.

That when the Roll is Called Up in Heaven, let us make it there!

OPENING PRAYER

Our King of Glory, we want to say THANK YOU!

JESUS, we Adore You!

We Magnify Your Holy Name; we confess You are the “True God” – There is no other god like YOU.

We want to Thank You for the Day Three (3) of the Youth Convention; Thank You Father, thus far You have helped us.

Thank You for Your Revelational Words that You have been impacting upon our lives.

Daddy we are committing this Session in to Your Hands; we are asking You will take absolute control, in the Name of JESUS!

In Jesus’ Name, we’ve Prayed – Amen!

It is my Singular Honour to thank and appreciate my Parents in the Lord, Daddy and Mummy E.A Adbeboye (Daddy and Mummy G.O) – For the opportunity given to me to Preach on this exalted Altar.

… Thank you Sir, Thank you Ma. I appreciate you.

I will also like to appreciate my husband, the Assistant General Overseer (AGO in Charge of Young Adult and Youth) Pastor Peter Amenkhienan; for the opportunity to Preach during this Convention.

And OF course, the Youth Executives! God Bless you for putting the Programme together – Amen.

Today, I will be speaking on: “GIVING HONOUR AND SERVICE TO PARENTS.”

HONOUR means holding something or someone in great respect; in very high esteem.

To honour someone is to VALUE him or her highly; to bestow Value on him or her.

And of course, most of us are familiar with the Ten (10) Commandments received by Moses and the People of Israel at Mount Sinai.

The Commandment tells us how to Honour and Worship God.

Without Complete and Genuine Honour to God, it will be impossible to honour anyone else.

Honour cannot be FAKED; it comes from the HEART.

The Fifth (5th) Commandment says: “Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee” – Exodus 20:12

The relationship with our Parents is so significant, that it is first (1st) earthly relationship addressed, in the Commandments and it is the only one to come with a Blessing from God.

So, when I speak about mothers or fathers; I refer to anyone who may have taken a “Parental Figure” in your Life.

The reality is: Not everyone is born to Parents who reflect the fatherly love of God.

… Yet, God calls us to HONOUR them, too.

WHY? – Because there is a connection between honouring our Parents and Honouring GOD.

When we treat our Parents respectfully (and with love), we take the opportunity to Honour God, with our Obedience.

Reflecting on the relationship our Heavenly Father seeks to have with us – No matter who your Parents are; God will always honour our Obedience. And He is Faithful, to make Himself known in ways we can’t imagine.

Mind you: HONOUR is a Gift that you freely give; not what is earned!

Not because it is deserving; but because it is the RIGHT THING TO DO.

Consider this; in the life of a child: The Parental relationship is the FIRST (1ST) and the MOST important relationship in such a life!

… It shapes all other relationships!

When you come across a very Kind, Considerate, Capable child or youth; or even an adult, who is very Hardworking – Conscientious, Responsible and Considerate – More often than not, it is alluded to the Person’s parentage.

In such a case, we always thank, not only those Parents; but Praise the Good Sense that he or she had to listen to them.

Likewise, we judge a Person by the way he or she behaves.

We say – Oh, she or he comes from a Good home or she/he has a Good Home Training.

But if that Person is acting NEGATIVELY; we say: This one LACKED Good Home Training.

And that is why in the Book of Proverbs 23:24-25, I quote:

“The father of the righteous shall greatly rejoice: and he that begetteth a wise child shall have joy of him. Thy father and thy mother shall be glad, and she that bare thee shall rejoice”.

So, when we have Good Parents, who impact Good behaviour in the life of their child; and the child that has sense to imbibe such Good Teachings, it is worth a great thing!

… Though we may have few exceptions to such: We can have Good Parents, and yet bad children; we can also have Bad Parents, with GOOD CHILDREN!

Permit me quickly to read some Bible verses – So that we know those Authorities that we need to HONOUR.

In the Book of Ephesians 6:1-3, we are told:

“Children, obey your Parents in the Lord: for this is right. Honour thy father and mother; which is the first commandment with Promise; That it may be well with thee, and thou mayest live long on the earth.”

Hebrews 13:7, I read:

“Remember them which have the rule over you, who have spoken unto you the Word of God: whose Faith follow, considering the end of their conversation.”

Then in 1 Peter 5:5:

“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with Humility: for God resisteth the Proud, and giveth Grace to the Humble.”

Finally, I am going to be reading 1 Peter 2:17:

“Honour all men. Love the brotherhood. Fear God. Honour the king.”

So from these, you will discovered that, it encompasses a lot!

Listen Youths out there: God has designed our relationship with our Parents in such a way that we learn what it means to have someone in Authority over us; to listen to People, to honour them, and to do the right things that with bring Glory to God.

We need to know, someone else has a say over us; we are going to trust that they know better.

Not only that; this is where we learn that there are Authority Structures in the world.

The Family is where you learn about Respect and Obedience; and hopefully, about Love and Protection.

We need to know that this Commandment is so important. The Book of Deuteronomy 21:18-21, I read:

“If a man have a stubborn and rebellious son, which will not obey the voice of his father, or the voice of his mother, and that, when they have chastened him, will not hearken unto them: Then shall his father and his mother lay hold on him, and bring him out unto the elders of his city, and unto the gate of his place; And they shall say unto the elders of his city, This our son is stubborn and rebellious, he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton, and a drunkard. And all the men of his City shall stone him with stones, that he die: so shalt thou put evil away from among you; and all Israel shall hear, and fear.”

So, in the Old Testament, we are being told that if a child refuses to honour his parents, then he is subject to DEATH.

But Thank God that we are in the New Testament; and we are under Grace!

… Grace is the MONEY we are spending now!

So, instead of being Punished with DEATH; in the New Testament we are told to discipline such a child.

And so, you discovered that in the Book of Hebrews 12:7-11, we are told that:

7 If ye endure chastening, God dealeth with you as with sons; for what son is he whom the father chasteneth not?

8 But if ye be without chastisement, whereof all are partakers, then are ye bastards, and not sons.

9 Furthermore we have had fathers of our flesh which corrected us, and we gave them reverence: shall we not much rather be in subjection unto the Father of spirits, and live?

10 For they verily for a few days chastened us after their own pleasure; but he for our profit, that we might be partakers of his holiness.

11 Now no chastening for the present seemeth to be joyous, but grievous: nevertheless afterward it yieldeth the peaceable fruit of righteousness unto them which are exercised thereby.

… This is very important!

But quickly, I will be looking at this subject from four (4) aspects.

We will look at:

1. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HONOUR PARENTS?
2. WHY SHOULD WE HONOUR PARENTS?
3. ARE THERE LIMITS TO HONOURING PARENTS?

… And then we are going to be rounding it up with:

4. PRACTICAL WAYS, OR SERVICE WE NEED TO RENDER TO PARENTS.

So, I will start with the first (1st) one:

1. WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO HONOUR PARENTS?

We need to know that Honour requires certain two (2) things:

I. The first (1st) is REFERENCE.

And Reference involves a humbling of the self, in respectful recognition of something Perceived to be greater than self.

This is not always because Parents are deserving (as I said before); but because of the Position of Authority that God has granted to Parents.

They have been given a Noble Title – MOTHER, FATHER!

And you discovered that in the Old Testament, the meaning of HONOUR (in Hebrew Language) means ‘Kevoid’ – Which means something that is Glorious, and something that has WEIGHT.

… So to be a Parent is a weighty thing!

To be given the Title ‘MOTHER’ or ‘FATHER’ is to be designated with office of great significance.

So we show Respect and Reference for that Position or Office.

God has given Parents Authority. Part of what they are helping you to learn is that you have come to a world in which there is: MORAL AUTHORITY and STRUCTURES OF ORDER – Showing Proper respect to everyone!

And it is so amazing (or is it sad?) that respect has become an Endangered Value over the past few decades.

Yet the Bible makes it clear that: Stable Families, and stable Societies are BUILT around Respect!

The Bible COMMANDS us to: Honour our Parents, Respect Civil Authorities; and respect Church Leaders.

And you discovered that, because God wants to make it clear and leaves no one out; the Bible also tells us to show Proper respect to EVERYONE.

… That was the last Bible Passage I read – That 1 Peter 2:17.

II. Now, the Second (2nd) thing about HONOUR is OBEDIENCE aspect of it.

OBEDIENCE is defined as: “Dutiful or Submissive Compliance to the commands of one in Authority.”

Which means that: We do that; we do what our Parents say while we are Part of their households!

Even when we have grown and left the home; we make efforts to do their wishes whenever we can!

Obedience of course, implies that Parents are giving Commands, and Passing Instructions along to us.

WHY? – Because Parents are the ones responsible to ensure that what children are doing, is Good and Right and it will help them to grow in Christ.

So, this brings to me:

2. WHY SHOULD WE HONOUR OUR PARENTS?

And you will see this in Ephesians (that we ready before) Ephesians 6:1.

It says that we are to obey our Parents in the Lord.

I am laying emphasis: ‘IN THE LORD’.

Listen, it is Part of your devotion to Jesus: To honour your father and your mother – Especially, Unbelieving Parents!

This is because our Obedience and Devotion to Christ, leads to OBEDIENCE and HONOUR for our Parents whether they are Believers or not!

And the Book of Colossians 3:20, we are told: Children, obey your Parents in EVERYTHING. – Not leaving anything out!

… For this PLEASES the Lord.

So, anytime you are not obeying your Parents, or not giving them Honour – That means you are displeasing the Lord.

And I know as many of us as are hearing me today, or reading on the Label of DMC: You are a Born Again child of God, and you want to Please the Lord.

So, if you want to PLEASE the Lord: You must HONOUR and RESPECT your Parents.

And, you can find a very Good Example in the Bible – Of our Lord Jesus Christ – You will discovered that Jesus Honoured and Obeyed His Earthly Parents even though the Parents are not perfect, and Jesus Christ is PERFECT.

But you discovered that in the Book of Luke 2:41-51; we are told that when Jesus Christ was still YOUNG (around 12 years old), he followed His Parents to Jerusalem to worship.

But when they were going back, Jesus Christ stayed behind and was listening to the Scribes.

And the Parents assumed that He must be Part of the company; and they had gone a day’s journey before they discovered that Jesus Christ was nowhere to be found!

And we are told that they looked for Jesus for three (3) days, before they found Him in the Temple.

And they said: Son, why did You treat us like this?

He said “Don’t you know that I should be about My Father’s Business?

But we are told in that Verse 51 (Luke 2:51) that He GOT UP, and followed them and was SUBJECT TO THEM.

… That is Jesus Christ!

And so, that shows us the importance honouring our Parents.

And in Ephesians 6:3, we are told that if you honour your father and mother, things will go well for you; and you will have a long Life on the Earth.

So, you discovered that Ephesians 6:1, and that Book of Colossians 3:20 are not talking about living just a long life like that; but it is actually telling us that we will live ABUNDANT LIFE.

If you want to enjoy to the FULL – the Blessings that God has for you in the Promised Land; then, you must LISTEN to your Parents.

And you discovered that, these Bible Verses we are reading can be seen in two (2) parts – That these Promises are actually a REWARD and a PROMISE.

In fact, the moment you think that you don’t need your parents anymore; that is the moment you really need them, MORE THAN ever before – To LOVE and to ENCOURAGE you!

Not only that: Even sometimes, to set appropriate boundaries for you which you wouldn’t think to set for yourself.

And to sometimes keep you from yourself and Protect you from things in the world which you might not necessarily see as being dangerous.

Parents should not expect the same obedience from grown children as they did when they were small.

And that takes me to the third (3rd) Aspect;

3. ARE THERE LIMITS TO HONOURING PARENTS?

Yes – Because Authority can be abused!

If the choice is between Obeying God, or obeying men; we need to obey God.

This is very, very important!

This is because the first (1st) Commandment takes Precedence OVER the fifth (5th).

But even in that situation, you must make sure that you show it in a respectful manner.

Even when what they are asking you to do is WRONG, the way you put it across to them will show that you respect and honour them.

But you will rather HONOUR God, OVER and ABOVE.

So, you need to know this that: Parental Authority is not ABSOLUTE.

But you need to know that, for those Parents that are Believers, they have gone farther along in Godliness and deserve our Respect and HONOUR.

So quickly I will be going to:

4. THE PRACTICAL WAYS TO HONOUR PARENTS; OR SERVICES TO RENDER TO OUR PARENTS.

We need to know that this Fifth (5th) Commandment is larger than just Parenting.

It is simply the bridge between the Vertical Relationship with God, to the Horizontal Relationship with Parents; and all other relationships with Authorities that we may have in our lives.

I. We must treat our Parents RESPECTFULLY and with LOVE; giving them PROMPT and cheerful OBEDIENCE.

When we do this, we are taking the opportunity to Honour God with our Obedience.

And we are reflecting the relationship with our Heavenly Father which He seeks to have with us!

No matter who our Parents are, God will honour our OBEDIENCE.

And He is Faithful to make Himself known, in ways we can’t imagine.

So, we need to pay attention to the Admirable and Honourable traits of Parents or Guidance; that embodied everything in their lives, as we were growing up – If they loved and Protected you, you must learn from their example. And you can also now learn to nurture others up.

So, they will see that you are carrying that innate relationship you have learnt from your Parents; and you are Passing it across to the Next Generation.

Not only that; you discovered that in the Book of 1 Corinthians 11:1, Paul said: “Be IMITATORS of me, as I am of Christ”‘

So, when we imitate our elders, when we imitate our parents in Good Ways, then we are showing from where we come from.

II. GRATITUDE is one (1) of the Chief ways we can Honour our Parents.

Showing GRATITUDE for the “Unseen Sacrifices”, they must have gone through when they were bringing us up.

Parents sacrificed a lot for their children;

… You need to know this!

They sacrificed their Rest and Resources – when you were small, and your were growing up and so when you are now growing up; you need to RECIPROCATE – by Honouring them.

So, I am advising you: Peradventure you know you have not really been honouring them; immediately after this Programme or after reading this on the Label of DMC: Pick you phone and call them – Just to say: Mummy/Daddy, I appreciate you. I thank you for how you brought me up.

… This is very, very Important!

III. And, we need to SPEAK WELL of them.

Whether in their Presence or their absence; we must learn to SPEAK WELL of them!

Consider the words you speak to your Parents: Carefully pick only the words that give Honour.

This is just showing us that wherever we may be, we must LEARN to speak WELL of our Parents and those that brought us up!

The Fourth (4th) way of giving Service to our Parents is that;

IV. We MUST HEED their Wisdom.

Our parents have many opportunities to gain the Wisdom of Experience through their life times.

They have likely Endured and Persevered in ways we did not notice (as children) but by listening to their insights and knowledge, we learn to make better choices as Youth.

Listen to Job, in the Book of Job 12:12, it says: “With the ancient is wisdom; and in length of days understanding.”

So, you discovered that Wisdom is recognized, and known among the aged – And that is the more reason for us to HEED their words of Wisdom.

And then in the Book of James 1:5, it says: “If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

So, we honour God and our parents, by asking for Wisdom and heeding to the Wisdom we received.

V. We also Honour our Parents by SUPPORTING them, ENCOURAGING them and LOOKING AFTER them.

Listen to David; David said in Psalms 71:9.

He said: “Cast me not off in the time of old age; forsake me not when my Strength faileth.”

You see here, that David feared the combination of AGE and ISOLATION; of being OLD and ALONE.

… Likewise our aged Parents!

So we must give them assurance regularly, that we will not abandon them in their OLD AGE.

We MUST HONOUR them and not FORSAKE them.

VI. We must PROVIDE for them.

In the Book of 1 Timothy 5:4 and 8;

4 But if any widow have children or nephews, let them learn first to shew piety at home, and to requite their parents: for that is good and acceptable before God.

8 But if any provide not for his own, and specially for those of his own house, he hath denied the faith, and is worse than an infidel.

So, it is saying here that God is WELL PLEASED, when you take GOOD CARE of your AGED ONES.

In conclusion;

VII. The most important way we can Honour our Parents is TO FORGIVE THEM.

WHY? -Because there are no Perfect Parents around.

All Parents have fallen far short of their children’s expectations and in all likelihood, even their own expectations!

Our Parents might have sinned against us through making of unwise decisions.

Maybe they have had unrealistic expectations concerning us, and had done things that have left us deeply wounded;

For that reason many children enter adulthood controlled by Anger and Bitterness. They find themselves unable to move Past their Parents’ mistakes, or their Parents’ sin.

I want to let you know that we Honour our Parents by extending Grace and Forgiveness to them.

… This is actually Possible.

So we honour our Parents by extending Grace and Forgiveness to them.

For Parents who are difficult to Love or to Forgive, putting this into Practice might seem impossible – However, God is able to work in their HEARTS, just as He has worked in yours.

Pray for God to transform their hearts – Amen.

You see, forgiveness does not excuse ungodly behaviour; but releases us from the grip of the resulting BITTERNESS.

ALTAR CALL:

Maybe you are here and you are listening to me or reading on the Label of DMC and do not know Christ; you have never given your life to Jesus Christ.

I am inviting you this Period to just invite Him into your life; so that you can live LONG and live WELL in Abundance.

You can say after me:

LORD JESUS, COME INTO MY LIFE, BECAUSE I WANT TO KNOW YOU MORE. I WANT TO LEARN TO HONOUR MY PARENTS.

WIPE AWAY MY SINS, AND WRITE MY NAME IN THE “BOOK OF LIFE.”

IN JESUS’ NAME WE PRAY – AMEN!

CLOSING PRAYER

And so King of Glory, we want to THANK YOU. Lord, we Love You!

We Thank You for being such a Good and Perfect Heavenly Father!

Father, we honour our Parents today – Whether they are living or dead.

You gave them to us, so that: They could Love, Nurture and Guide us into Maturity and independence as we know, and experience and receive your LOVE.

Lord, let us learn to Honour You and Please You – by Loving our Earthly Parents as well.

… Help us to return our love to them.

As we thoughtfully respond to their changing Needs, may they be able to depend on us, even as we have depended on them throughout the years.

Father may it go well with us; may we live long in the land, and enjoy all Blessings you have in store for us.

In Jesus’ Name – Amen!

Let us Thank God for our Parents (whether living or dead).

Tell God that You Thank Him through the Parent you have come into the world.

Ask God to show you how you can truly Honour your Parents; even those that might have caused you Pain in the Past!

Ask Him for the Grace to LOVE them in return.

Ask God to grant you the Spirit of Humility and Submission in honouring and obeying your Parents.

Ask God to deliver you from every spirit of stubbornness and Pride that may be operating in your life hitherto.

Pray that you will not live under the curse of disobedience – not honouring your Parents as you ought to.

Pray for Wisdom and Guidance on how you can be an example of Godly Love to those in Authority over you.

We begin a New Series – This Month, our focus is on “DIRECTION AND REST”.

So, we are going to read Psalms 23 – Which we all know and familiar with.

Psalms 23:1-6:

1. The Lord is my Shepherd; I shall not want.
2. He makes me to lie down in Green Pasture, He leads me beside the Still Water.
3. He restores my Soul; He leads me in the Paths of Righteousness for His names sake.
4. Yea, though I walk in the Valley of the Shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for you are with me; your rod and your staff they comfort me.
5. You Prepare a table before me in the Presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil, my cup runs over.
6. Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my life; and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

Direction and Rest is the title of our discussion today.

Okay, this is the time of lightened Anxiety, time of Uncertainty, a time of Decision Making.

For many of us, we have to make decisions – Some Simple decisions, some Complex decisions, some easy decisions, some difficult decisions.

I want to remind us that before we started this year, God gave us one word and the word is REST.

How could we all know that we would be compelled to stay at home? That Aircraft will be grounded, Airport grounded; that cars have to rest, that the road too have to rest.

Matthew 11:28-30 says:

28. Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on Religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you will recover your life. I will show you how to take a Real Rest.
29. Walk with me and work with me, watch how I do it. Learn the unforced Ryhthms of gyrace. Don’t lay anything heavy or I’ll – lifting on you.
30. Keep company with me and you will learn to live freely and lightly. (MSG Bible).

I Prophesy in the Name of Jesus Christ: This Year will turn out to be the “Best” you have lived until now – Amen.

We emphasized from the beginning of the Year that we enter into that “State of Rest” – “God’s Rest”, when we find alignment with the Plans and Purposes of God for our lives and for this world.

Remember Romans 8:28 that says: “And we know that all things work together for Good to those who love God, to those who are the Called according to his Purpose”.

So, we can quickly conclude that Divine Direction is the basic requirement for Rest.

… Divine Guidance, enjoying the Guidance of God, the Direction of God in our Decision Making – This is what guides us into the “State of Rest”.

Hear what Jesus says in Matthew 11:28-30 – He says: Come to Me, I will show you how to take a real Rest.

Learn the Unforced Rhythms of Grace – We struggle too much. Divine Direction is the basic requirement for this Rest.

To enjoy God’s Guidance in life, we must acknowledge Him as our Shepherd – Our Ultimate Guide, our Ultimate Helper.

Nobody knows you as intimately as God does:

1. Nobody knows your Future.
2. Nobody knows your Past.
3. Nobody knows the Potential that has been invested in you to deal with the circumstances of your life to fulfill God’s Plans and Purposes for your life.
4. Nobody knows all of those intricacies details like God does.

So, no one can really guide you into making the best Decision and making the best Investment of your Resources in life like God.

So, you have got to recognised His Voice – How is He leading you, how is He guiding you in the midst of everything going on in the world right now, in the midst of the noise.

In the midst of cacophony, God’s Voice is still there speaking to you, Providing Guidance’s for you.

Hear what Jesus said in John 10: 27-29 from the New Living Translation:

27. My sheep listens to my voice; I know them and they follow me.
28. I give them Eternal Life and they will never Perish. No one can snatch them away from me.
29. For my father had given them to me and He is more Powerful than anyone else. No one can snatch them from the Father’s hand.

So, to recognise God’s Voice, we need to know Him intimately.

He says that the People that belongs to Him knows Him and recognises His Voice.

So many voices speaking in our world right now everywhere but we have got to be able to recognise the Voice of our Shepherd.

In the mouth of the one that wrote Psalms 23, he recognised God’s Voice.

David cultivate an “Intimate Relationship” with God and that was why the Psalms affect us deeply until today – They help us to express the emotions, the feelings, the thoughts that many of us could not even articulate clearly.

It is the richness of the Relationship that David had with God that appears to us, that Pulls us into this Psalms that he wrote.

When you look at the circumstances of the life of this Young Man, they are not almost desirable.

How would it be that God will send Samuel the Prophet to the house of Jesse – David’s father; to anoint one (1) of his sons to be King.

Samuel would asked Jesse to bring out all his sons and Jesse would not bring David out.

How come he Presented David’s brother and one (1) by one (1) as they came to Samuel, God would say to Samuel not this one, not this one, till the last one.

And then Samuel would then say to Jesse: Do you have another son because I came here to anoint one of your sons to be King and God says it is not any of these?

So, you must have another one.

Before Jesse would open up and say: There is another one (1) boy – He is with the Sheep.

Doesn’t that tells you something?

I don’t know; People have suggested various reasons but at least if they ask you for your sons and most of them were Present and one is not, you should say that from the beginning not when you are now compelled to do so.

But this is what I want to Point out – That this Young Man David turns what is supposed to be a disadvantage to him to an advantage.

So, he is not here in the City, he is not at home to be with everybody else, he is out with the Sheep – He leverages his disadvantage to cultivate an “Intimate Relationship” with God.

… That is where I’m going.

The current situation we are going through in the world – This being locked in the house, stay away from other People, we must find some advantage to it.

If we cannot socialize with Human Being, why don’t we hang out with God?

That was what David did.

And then you find out that Human Being sometimes are the greatest sources of distraction.

As David grow Intimately with God, he enjoyed God’s Love,

God spoke to him, he developed the sense of Identity that only God would have developed. He got to see himself through God’s eye.

That is the “Greatest Gift” anybody can get on this Planet – Getting your sense of Identity from God because the truest things you will ever know about yourself are the things that God will tell you.

Of course, you know that as we grow, as we develop on this Planet; we are busy looking at Other People to find out what they think about us and then we form an image of ourselves from what People tells us they see of us.

That is where something begin to go wrong!

When you allowed Human Beings to label you in this Planet, they will “Mislabel you” and “Misdirect you”.

Once you get it wrong with your Identity; you have gotten it wrong.

Our time with God is not supposed to be a distraction from the important issues of life.

What are these important issues of life that are more important than staying in the Presence of the King of kings and the Lord of Lords?

That is what David discovered.

That is why he said: I longed for you, I thirst for this, I want you, I’m a God’s chaser.

I was reading recently the Story of Job and how Job would complain and complain believing it was God that was out to make his life uncomfortable because he knew that he was living right.

You need to know that challenges comes to Good People too sometimes.

But Job didn’t know it was God that was bragging on him even before Satan

But God would not allow a trial to come if it is not going to use it to create Promotion for you.

That is important.

So, learn how to be Intimate with God no matter the circumstances that comes your way.

One other thing I’m going to say is: Beware of Legalism because I think that is what is running People into trouble in a scenario like this.

We are not in the Old Testament where you have to obey all the commandments before you could enjoy all the blessings.

No – Jesus Christ Paid fully for your sins.

So, anybody that comes with any Rule and now making you feel Guilty and Unqualified before God; is giving you unnecessary loads and you have to drop those loads.

That was what Jesus Christ was talking about.

… I’m serious that is exactly what Jesus Christ was talking about.

When you go back to Matthew 11:28-30; Jesus Christ said: Are you burned out in Religion?

Drop this “Religious Load”.

Oh, because you didn’t Pray up to one (1) hour in the morning – Oh God cannot accept you.

Throw all that away.

Oh, because you did not fast, Oh because you didn’t do this and that – Just ask yourself: Is it in the Bible? Why will God not accept you now?

If Satan tells you God is focussing on your sin, tell him that Jesus Christ has Paid for your sins with His Blood.

And as long as God is looking at the Blood of Jesus Christ; all your sins has been forgiven.

Believe that God is your daddy: Approach Him, He loves you – Just believe it.

So, what I realised today is that: Many People knows Psalms 23 – The Lord is my Shepherd, but they don’t know the Shepherd.

It is time for us to know the Shepherd.

Use this Pandemic as an opportunity to get close to your daddy.

Please, bow down you head in Prayer now.

And say: Lord, I want you to be the Shepherd of my Soul, I want you to be the Shepherd of my life.

Your sheep knows Your Voice: I want to know Your Voice. I don’t want to follow the voice of a stranger and the stranger is Satan.

I want to know Your Voice, I want to be Close, I want to be Intimate with You.

I want to know You Intimately – Reveal Yourself to me.

I know you love me and I love you too.

Thank you Lord!

… Are you ready? – SAY WITH ME:

Out of Zion, the Perfection of Beauty, God shines forth. The Lord my God causes the Righteous to shine forth as the Sun.

Last week, I started talking about PUSH and the PULL factors of life and I am continuing my Message.

And today, my Message is titled: “WHAT ARE YOU RUNNING FOR?”

… It sounds better when it is spoken faster: “What are you Running for?”

It is a question I want to ask you and it is a question I want you to ask yourself: WHAT AM I RUNNING FOR?

What am I HUSTLING for? – Because I used the word RUNNING: to mean the efforts we make to move on in life.

… Some call it the hustle!

Each one of us runs – We do something!

There is a running around in our lives.

Just take a stand at any busy intersection in a City, and you will see people moving up and down. And sometimes you wonder: “Where are they going? And what are they trying to achieve?’

To go on with my Message, I want you to remember “The Legend of the Lion and the Gazelle” that I mentioned last week.

And I will repeat it.

And it says: Every morning in Africa – And I suppose in every Country where this takes Place; it may not be a Lion and a Gazelle but something in Particular takes Place!

“Every morning in Africa, a Gazelle wakes up and knows that it must run faster than the fastest Lion or it will be KILLED.

And every morning, a Lion wakes up, and knows that it must run faster than the slowest Gazelle, or it will STARVE to death.”

It doesn’t matter whether you are a Lion or a Gazelle; when the sun comes up, you better start RUNNING.

And that is how our life is: Sun up, to sun down, we are running!

We are either a Lion – trying to catch something, or a Gazelle – making sure nobody catches us.

But whichever you are; the PUSH Factor and the PULL Factor of life, affect us.

Last week we looked at four (4) kinds of Runners:

1. We talked about HAGAR, who was running from the Consequences of her Past.
2. We talked about JEPHTHAH, who was running from Rejection;
3. We talked about DAVID, who is running from Evil Conspiracies;
4. And we talked about JONAH, who is running from Responsibility and God’s Plan for his life.

It is important you figure out why you are running in life. And to determine whether the race you are on, is leading you in a Productive Direction or not.

And it is important to ask yourself:

1. Why am I in so much hurry?
2. Why am I doing all this hard work I am doing?
3. What am I Pushing for?
4. What am I trying to Achieve?

It is always a blessing to see God use our disadvantages to DRIVE us in life.

However, we could also be wrongly driven in different directions.

The Book of Ecclesiastes 9:11 has this to say. And the writer of Ecclesiastes says:

“I returned and saw under the sun that —
The race is not to the swift, Nor the battle to the strong, Nor bread to the wise, Nor riches to men of understanding, Nor favor to men of skill; But time and chance happen to them ALL.”

So, many times we are running, but TIMING is wrong! And many times you are running, but it is not our TURN to run!

And that is going to form the basis of my Message.

Because today we are going to look at two (2) kinds of Runners:

1. One who runs with a MISSION.
2. And the other who runs WITHOUT a Mission.

And my Passage is going to be from 2 Samuel 18.

The background to this Passage is about: David and his son, Absalom.

Absalom had led a revolt against his father David. And so a Civil War had ensued! And in the Process David has to leave Jerusalem, and Absalom temporary becomes King.

And in the Civil War that ensued, David’s son, Absalom was killed in Battle.

And now a Messenger has to go and deliver a Message to David – That his son (Absalom) who rebelled against him has just been killed in the battle.

So, who is the Messenger who is going to take this Message – Who will run with such a Message to David?

And you have to understand that: First, when King Saul was killed, the Messenger who carried the Message to David that King Saul had been killed, was killed by David!

And then Saul’s son Ish-bosh-eth, who tried to rebelled also against David – after Saul died, was also killed.

And the one who took the Message to David that Ish-bosh-eth had been killed, was also killed!

So, it looks like carrying Messages of these Nature can be very hazardous to your health.

So, who can give such a Message to David.

So, Absalom is dead in battle – One side it is a Good News! But knowing how David had responded in the Past; who is going to tell David that you have WON, but your son is dead?*

… Very delicate Message!

And that is the background to what we are going to read in 2 Samuel 18:19-23 (NKJV);

19 Then Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said, “Let me run now and take the News to the king, how the Lord has avenged him of his enemies.”

20 And Joab said to him, “You shall not take the News this day, for you shall take the News another day. But today you shall take no News, because the king’s son is dead.”

21 Then Joab said to the Cushite, “Go, tell the king what you have seen.” So the Cushite bowed himself to Joab and ran.

22 And Ahimaaz the son of Zadok said again to Joab, “But whatever happens, please let me also run after the Cushite.” So Joab said, “Why will you run, my son, since you have no News ready?”

23 “But whatever happens,” he said, “let me run.” So he said to him, “Run.” Then Ahimaaz ran by way of the plain, and outran the Cushite.

There are TWO (2) KINDS OF RUNNERS here:

1. The first (1st) one is called AHIMAAZ. That is his name!

His name actually in Hebrew means: My brother is rough’ or ‘my brother is angered’

… Whether his name indicates his Personality, or his not, is another story.

But it Publicly shows that he is highly tempered – Hot Tempered Driven Personality.

He is a Person you would call an “Action Man” – He is a Person who always wants to do something.

And the Passage describes Ahimaaz as a son of Zadok. Zadok is a Priestly Flock.

… If his father is a Priest, then he also is a Priest.

And in Israel, the Priestly Family is a very highly considered family.

So, you would say that he is from the right kind of family.

2. Secondly, he is a Faster Runner than the other fellow who is being sent the Message.

He is very, very Good Runner – He has got SPEED, he is SWIFT.

3. Thirdly, he is a Trusted Messenger of David.

Because if you read 2 Samuel 15:35-36; you realized that this was not the first time that he has carried Messages for David – It was something that he did!

In 2 Samuel 17, he carried Messages to David.

… So, this is a man with a trusted record of carrying Messages.

If you read 1 Samuel 17:15-17 (NKJV);

15 Then Hushai said to Zadok and Abiathar the priests, “Thus and so Ahithophel advised Absalom and the elders of Israel, and thus and so I have advised.

16 Now therefore, send quickly and tell David, saying, ‘Do not spend this night in the plains of the wilderness, but speedily cross over, lest the king and all the People who are with him be swallowed up.’”

17 Now Jonathan and Ahimaaz stayed at En Rogel, for they dared not be seen coming into the city; so a female servant would come and tell them, and they would go and tell King David.

So, this Ahimaaz – He is a Courier for David; so he is Smart, he is a Priest, he has got Speed, he is Trusted, he has got experience.

… He is the Right Man for the Job!

So, if you were assessing the situation at the moment; David has not heard the Message. It is a delicate Message. It has to get to him quickly!

This is a trusted Messenger – Ahimaaz. He has done it all the time. David knows him, his father is a Priest, he has got speed.

Everything seems to indicate that for this moment, Ahimaaz must go on this Mission.

… Yet, he is not sent, he is not Picked.

The race is not to the SWIFT all the time. Sometimes People who seems to have EVERYTHING together may be be JUMPED OVER!

And, there is Second (2nd) Runner!

The second (2nd) Runner is called THE CUSHITE.

… It is a description, it is not a name!

His name is not mentioned – He is just mentioned by his Tribe or by the way he looks: He is ‘The Cushite.’

Literary it means “A Black man – He is a man with no name.

He is supposedly Trusted, because he is around in the Corridors of Power.

So, there is a Crisis and this is the first (1st) time we are hearing him being called to Service.

“Then Joab said to the Cushite, “Go, tell the king what you have seen.” So the Cushite bowed himself to Joab and ran.” 2 Samuel 18:21

He has two (2) Things that Ahimaaz doesn’t have:

1. He has a MISSION,
2. And he has a MESSAGE.

… A Mission and a Message.

But he does not have SPEED, he does not come from a Royal Family, he does not come from the Priestly Flock, he does not even know the short cut of the terrain and he is not addressed by name.

So if you look at these two (2) People;

• AHIMAAZ: He is known by name. His Parenthood is right. He has got Speed, he has got Pedigree, he has got the Credentials.

… He should send the Message!

• THE CUSHITE: No Pedigree, no name, he does not have the speed, does not know the terrain so well.

… But he is called to do the Job!

The race is not always to the SWIFT; there will be an opportunity that comes, that does not favour the most Highly Qualified.

He (The Cushite) has the Message, he is the man for the hour.

There are those who run in life because they have a Message and a Mission.

And then there are those who run in life because they just can’t stand still – They needed to be seen. And Ahimaaz was like that! He is an Action Person. He can’t Stand Still.

And I want you to listen to Ahimaaz’ Statement. He says: “Let me run now…”

… This is the spirit of ENTITLEMENT.

Then he says: “But whatever happens, Please let me also run…”

… That is the spirit of COMPETITION.

This guy (Ahimaaz) says: The Message must be given, and I am going to give the Message.

Joan says: You will not give the Message, because it is above your PAY GRADE.

… It is beyond you.

Why? – Because the King’s son is DEAD!

And history shows: If you don’t have what it takes to carry this Message, you will get into trouble!

So, although you are qualified, you would not go!

But he says: Whether I have a Message or not, I would go!

There are People like Ahimaaz in our world – Those who runs because they just can’t accept that some races are not theirs to run.

They just feel: I must also be there! They are the ‘WANNA BEES’.

They want to be in the midst of things. They want to be where the action is.

So, when something is happening: Whether they are supposed to do it or not; they do it anyhow!

A lot of ‘Ahimaaz’ in this world – RUNNING simply because they want to be seen.

And Ahimaaz also represent those who run because they want to OUTRUN OTHERS.

Somebody is doing it, they say – I will BEAT him. I will do it better! I can be better.

And they will give you their Pedigree: I know this guy, when we were in school – when I was first (1st) he was LAST.

I come from a rich family, he is from a Poor family. I have done this before, he has never done it before. I can beat him.

The fact that you can BEAT somebody, doesn’t mean you are called to the FIGHT.

The race is not for the SWIFT, and the BATTLE is also not for the Strong!

There are those who run because they CAN’T allow others to SHINE. They always have to SPOIL IT for somebody else.

And there are People like that; and I hope you are not one (1) of them?

I hope you are not one (1) of those who RUN because:

1. You can’t stand that it is somebody’s turn.
2. You just can’t stand that somebody you think is inferior to you has got an opportunity you don’t have.
3. You can’t stand that somebody you think you are better than has a door opened.

And if you are Ahimaaz – you are running without a Mission and without a Message – Very fast and very talented but going nowhere!

… So this is how the race is Set Up!

And Joab, the General for David’s Army said: Listen Ahimaaz, we know everything about you.

But Ahimaaz said: Whether you like it or not, I am RUNNING.

So eventually Joan says, RUN!

It is those kinds of Permission when they give you, you don’t take it. You are forcing it and you are told: Okay, if you want to go, go ahead and do it.

… It is going to be a long time, great efforts but you are going to achieve NOTHING.

So, let me ask you a question – Between these two (2), for the race you are running now: Are you an Ahimaaz or the Cushite?

Are you running Purposely because you are supposed to run? Or you are running because you can’t stand the Person who is Winning?

You can’t stand the Person you think you are better than, who seems to be doing well – If he can do three (3) I can do ten (10). If he can do ten (10) I can do hundred (100)!

… I know him, I am better than him, I can beat him.

And there are many People running races like that – Life is an incessant competition!

Even when there is no competition, they will Invent one!

I. Somebody buys a pair of shoes, you must buy a better one.

II. Somebody buys a car, you must buy a nicer one.

III. Somebody builds a house, you must get more bedrooms than he has!

Your whole race in life is to say: I can’t allow the Cushite to RUN, I must also run!

There will come a time when there will be a Message for Ahimaaz – A time another message will come and you will be given the opportunity.

… But this Particular one, is not for you!

May God HELP YOU: not to run, because somebody else is Running!

… So let’s see the OUTCOME:

So, there are two (2) People running – If you look at it: When Ahimaaz is told to to RUN; although the Cushite took the lead. Ahimaaz knew the shortcut of the terrain.

… He has been doing it all his life!

And so he uses a shortcut, he runs faster, and he overtakes the Cushite.

So, you will think: Oh, he has overtaken, and this guy is going to win the Prize.

Let’s see the OUTCOME – 2 Samuel 18:24-29 (KNJV);

24 Now David was sitting between the two gates. And the watchman went up to the roof over the gate, to the wall, lifted his eyes and looked, and there was a man, running alone.

25 Then the watchman cried out and told the king. And the king said, “If he is alone, there is News in his mouth.” And he came rapidly and drew near.

26 Then the watchman saw another man running, and the watchman called to the gatekeeper and said, “There is another man, running alone!” And the king said, “He also brings News.”

27 So the watchman said, “I think the running of the first is like the running of Ahimaaz the son of Zadok.” And the king said, “He is a good man, and comes with Good News.”

28 So Ahimaaz called out and said to the king, “All is well!” Then he bowed down with his face to the earth before the king, and said, “Blessed be the Lord your God, who has delivered up the men who raised their hand against my lord the king!”

29 The king said, “Is the young man Absalom safe?” Ahimaaz answered, “When Joab sent the king’s servant and me your servant, I saw a great tumult, but I did not know what it was about.”

Can you imagine? – He said: I saw the crowd gathering, but I don’t know what it was all about. But I wanted to RUN!

It is like those days in Ghana when we used to queue up for everything.

Sometimes you go to a Place, and People have QUEUED UP!

And you don’t know what the queue is about, you join the line.

And then you get to the end, you realised that they are selling something you don’t need.

There are People joining line, and queue and running. And when you ask them: Why are you running? They say: I saw the crowd gathering, but I didn’t know what it was about.

David says: If you ran this FAST, and you have no MESSAGE, turn aside and stand here.

May that never be your Portion – That after you have run effectively in life, you are told: Stand aside, because you carry nothing – You were just competing with somebody.

… Alright! (Continue with 2 Samuel 18)

30 And the king said, “Turn aside and stand here.” So he turned aside and stood still.

31 Just then the Cushite came, and the Cushite said, “There is Good News, my lord the king! For the Lord has avenged you this day of all those who rose against you.”

32 And the king said to the Cushite, “Is the young man Absalom safe?”

So the Cushite answered: “May the enemies of my lord the king, and all who rise against you to do harm, be like that young man!”

33 Then the king was deeply moved, and went up to the chamber over the gate, and wept. And as he went, he said thus: “O my son Absalom—my son, my son Absalom—if only I had died in your Place! O Absalom my son, my son!”

I want you to note how the Cushuite delivered the Message to the King – He knows that those who have carried such Messages in the Past get in to trouble.

So, when he is asked: What is happening? Is the young man Absalom safe?

He did not say – The boy is killed. He did not say: I saw him with my own two (2) eyes – The boy has been killed. Because People who gives such direct Messages to David get into trouble.

He said: Oh King, may it happen to your enemies as it has happened to that BOY! – And the King got the coded Message.

He understood the delicateness of the moment and he gave the Right Message.

The King knew Absalom had died but death had not been mentioned.

… And that is why this guy was the Right for the Job!

He doesn’t have Speed, but he has the Wisdom for the hour, to deliver the Right Message.

When you see somebody running, don’t just run after them: They may operate at the Wisdom Level you don’t have!

They may not have your Certificates, they may not have your Degrees, they may not have your Pedigrees; but for this race, they have something that you don’t have!

Ahimaaz was told: Stand aside! He has run so long, he has run ahead. He has the best family, he has lots of Past Successes; yet, he is told: ‘Step Aside!’

But the Cushite: He ran, his life is spent. The King gets the Message, the deed is done! He came second (2nd) but he was FIRST (1ST)! He came behind, but he delivered the result.

That is why in life you don’t just struggle with People who are already running; because they may be running with the Message.

You RUN the Race that is set before you, and you finish it WELL.

And when you FINISH IT WELL, your Message would be delivered.

The Big Question is: WHY WAS “THE CUSHITE” CHOSEN?

• Was it a Set Up for his Failure?
• Was it a Set Up for his Death?

They just sent him because they know, this guy is going to be killed – Let’s send him!

… It is a Possibility!

Because sometimes People may Set you Up for Failure and Push you into a Zone where they think you may be destroyed.

But God can use that Set Up for His Appointed Time!

And do you know the number of times they wished you would fail?

… They think you will fail, you will not amount to anything.

I have lived a little bit of this life and I have seen People who were Set Up for Failure, being Appointed by God for Destiny.

I have seen People whose Bosses Set them Up: put them into the wrong office, into the wrong Department – Just to destroy them.

… And God turned it around!

Maybe that is what you meant for the Cushite.

They say, somebody is going to die today because by experience, David is going to kill the fellow.

Ahimaaz is too PRECIOUS; the Cushite is dispensable – He is a Black man. He is Dispensable!

. . But God used that Set Up to His Glory.

That is why, in life you don’t always complain about People Setting you Up – In their minds they would say: You are finished, we have got him! No way, this is the End.

But in God’s Mind: This is the Race that he must run; this is his Appointment! This is something he or she alone can do!

May God Set you Up for Success – Amen!

… I said: May God Set you Up for Success – AMEN!

You may not be running as fast as everybody; but you will deliver your Message – Amen. You will deliver your Mission – Amen!

Your Appointment, your Destiny shall Manifest – Amen!

In conclusion; the Message to every CUSHITE – And by Cushite! I mean People who are nameless. You haven’t done much:

But there will come a moment in your Life, when God will Pick you up for something UNIQUE.

… And when the time comes – Be like the Cushite.

When Joab said run, the Bible say: He (Cushite) bowed himself and ran! – He doesn’t have speed, but he RAN. He does not know the terrain well, but he RAN. He doesn’t come from the right family, but he RAN. People have Set him Up for failure, but he RAN.

Forget about People’s motives, forget about what they want to do, forget at their Agenda – Just RUN the race set before you because you going to RUN, and you are going to deliver the Message.

… Somebody say: I AM A CUSHITE!

And to the CUSHITE Nations of the world (Ghana and Nigeria included):

We may not have the speed of the other Nations.

We may not know and understand the terrain like the other People;

We may not have done this before!

But there will come a time in our Destiny, in our History; a moment of Destiny. It may look like a SET UP for Failure but it will be a Divine Appointment – Amen.

And I believed with all my heart, with everything within me; that: This Pandemic; which seems like a Set Up for destruction, is going to work for our Advantage – Amen.

Is it any wonder that those who said there will be dead bodies littered all over Africa cannot understand what is happening because it is CUSHITE TIME!!!!

And it may be a Set Up that was supposed to destroy us but it will be for our Divine Visitation, for our Glory – Amen.

We just have to run and keep running, and keep running – the RACE that is Set before us!

May the Lord grant us the Spirit that came upon this Cushite that made him he RAN!

Even when it seems like somebody was trying to send him on a wrong Mission – He RAN.

Even when it seems he did not now the terrain well and did not have the Speed.

Even when he was overtaken, he did not give up to say: Well, I am last. I am not going to run again. He kept running and running from behind.

… The first Person was told to stand behind.

If you not have a Message (as Ahimaaz); you are going to be told “STAND ASIDE:”

“You have done well to run FAST, but this race is not to the SWIFT; it is for those who have TIME and OPPORTUNITY working on their behalf.”

May the Lord give you the Wisdom to discern that your moment – IN TIME; and to go know when the Grace of God is upon you – to RUN THE RACE, to finish it well, to Glorify GOD.

… Just stand up and lift up your hands to God:

And I want you to talk to the Lord – And I want you to just ask the Lord to HELP YOU, in the Race that is Set before you! To Help you, to Help you!

It may seems like a Set Up for Failure, but it will turn into our ADVANTAGE, in the Name of Jesus -Amen!

Ask God to help you to SEIZE the Right moment:

I. Not to run other People’s races!

II. Not to be among those who ALSO run! – A wanna be! A copy cat.

But to do that which is Set before you, in the Name of Jesus!

CLOSING PRAYER:

Father we come to You, fully confident that You have Good Plans for our lives, and Destiny for our Assignment.

Although men may seek to manipulate the events of our lives; You will SET IT UP for our Glory!

Because Your Word says that: ALL things is going to walk together for our Good, because we Love You.

May this Season of our lives, Set us Up for SUCCESS; Set us Up for Message, set us Up for Achievement.

We may come from behind, but we will carry a Message!

We may not know the terrain well, but we will carry a Message!

May we run our Race EFFECTIVELY, to Your Glory Lord; in JESUS’ Name!

… And if you believe you are a CUSHITE for this moment, say: Amen – AMEN!!!!

Hallelujah! We give You Praise Lord and we give You Glory. In Jesus’ Name – Amen and AMEN!

We want to Thank the Almighty God for what He did yesterday; and we trust Him that He will do even better today.

Knowing our God for Who He is, that He always reserved the BEST till the last! So we are sure that everyday would be better than the one before.

Today, as we consider the Theme of the Convention, which is WONDERFUL;

We want to look at THE WONDERS OF CREATION.

And our Bible Text would be taken from Psalms 139:14.

“I will Praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.”

I will PRAISE Thee. why?

… For I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.

… EVERYTHING GOD CREATED IS GOOD.

When you read Genesis 1:4,10, 12,18, 21 and 25, each one says: Whenever God finish creating something, He will look at it and say – ‘THIS IS GOOD.’

And if the Almighty God says something is Good – That thing must be really, really Good.

But when it comes to Creation of man, (in Genesis 1:26-31); He looked at His LAST CREATION and said this is VERY GOOD.

… VERY GOOD!

And since you are Part of that “LAST CREATION”, it means in the opinion of God – not anybody else – In the opinion of God, you are WONDERFUL.

Oh, there might be People who may not think so. Don’t pay attention to them. Pay attention to the Almighty God:

The One Who CREATED YOU! He made you Wonderfully, He made you Fearfully Great. You are WONDERFUL.

But THE REAL WONDERS OF ALL CREATION (including you) is found in Revelations 4:11:

That is where the Bible tells us that: He created EVERYTHING for His PLEASURE.

WHO IS THAT GREAT WONDER?

Well, I will explain it to you, because that is the reason why I am sure that: By the Special Grace of the Most High God, you are going to be HEALED TODAY.

Let us Begin!

Let me take Parts of your body one by one; and you will see “HOW GOD CREATED YOU FOR HIS PLEASURES”.

… And that will lead to WONDERS FOE YOU!

1. Psalms 47:1 tells us that: HE MADE YOUR HANDS TO CLAP.

Because in Psalms 47:1, it says: “Clap your hands all ye people” – That is including you!

He made your hands to Produce Music for Him – By CLAPPING.

In other words, you might not be able to play the Guitar; you might not be able to play the Organ; you might not even be able to play the drum; but you can CLAP!

He says “ALL YE PEOPLE should CLAP their hands.*

Now, WHERE IS THE BEAUTY OF THAT?

The Beauty in that is that: If He sees your hands withered; if He sees your hands gone lame; He will be DISPLEASED.

WHY WILL HE BE DISPLEASED?

He will be DISPLEASED because the hand that is withered CANNOT CLAP.

And if it CANNOT CLAP, then it will not give Him PLEASURE.

That is why you find in Mark 3:1-5; when He entered into a Temple, and found a man there with a withered hand.

The man with the “Withered Hand” DID NOT PRAY. He did not say Lord Jesus Please, Heal my hand.

Jesus went ahead and RESTORED the hand to wholeness.

WHY? – So that he could CLAP.

That is why I can with Authority decree that: EVERY HANDS that is not functioning; in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, even before I finish Preaching – RECEIVE your Wholeness – Amen!

2. WHAT ABOUT YOUR LEGS?

He made YOUR LEGS TO DANCE!

Psalms 150:4 says that He expects you to Praise Him in the DANCE!

When you are DANCING, you are PLEASING Him.

And so you can reach the conclusion right away: If He sees your LEGS crippled, HE IS NOT PLEASED.

And if He speaks to your Legs: LEGS, why are you not Dancing? I made you for My Pleasure;

And the Leg says, I’m Weak – that’s why I’m not Dancing; I’m Paralyzed, that’s why I’m not dancing; I have suffered a Stroke, that’s why I’m not Dancing.

… The Almighty God would DO SOMETHING about it!

In Acts 3:2-8, the Bible tells us of a man born lame. They carried him daily to the front of the Temple.

Unfortunately, the Priests who were going in and coming out, did not realize that the situation of this man is NOT giving Pleasure to GOD.

Until one (1) day, a Man of God filled with the Holy Spirit, saw the man there. And he said: “Silver and Gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth RISE UP AND WALK.”

The man did not just RISE UP AND WALK; the Bible says he ROSE and started Leaping – walking and leaping, and PRAISING God.

The Legs said, we are WEAK; he said – Receive STRENGTH.

In the Name of the One Whose Name is WONDERFUL; I’m decreeing to ALL those LEGS (reading this Sermon now on the Label of DMC) – that are diseased: RISE UP, WALK, begin to DANCE – Amen!

3. He made you my Brothers and Sisters; HE MADE YOU TO PRAISE HIM ROBUSTLY.

That is His Purpose!

Like in 2 Samuel 6:14-16; the Bible says David was dancing, he was leaping, he was PRAISING GOD.

He was a King – he wasn’t “TOO BIG” to PRAISE GOD ROBUSTLY.

That is why you find us say: When you want to dance, Dance David’s DANCE.

That is why I feel uncomfortable when I see People who feel because they are ‘BIG’ they CANNOT PRAISE GOD ROBUSTLY.

I hope you would change that now, and begin to Dance; you will really dance before God in such a manner God will see you.

If others don’t appreciate you, don’t bother about them: God did not create you for them; He created you for His Pleasure.

So, when in Mark 2:1-13; Four (4) people brought a man in – Completely Helpless (through the Roof).

If you study that story very well, you will make some very, very INTERESTING DISCOVERIES:

I. The Bible says Jesus saw ‘THEIR’ FAITH;

… Not the Faith of the man who was carried in.

The man was was carried in, we are not even sure whether he had any Faith in him.

But Jesus SAW the Faith of those who carried him in.

The man who was carried in has not said a single word, when God jumped into action and said: Son, I forgive your SINS.

And when some People were grumbling, He said – You can grumble as much as you like.

He said to the man: Get up! Carry your bed, go home. I DID NOT MAKE YOU TO BE A BURDEN.

I hope you are listening to me tonight?

The Almighty God Who MADE YOU, did nor MAKE YOU to be a BURDEN to others – He made you so that you can stand up on your own; so you CAN DANCE ROBUSTLY.

4. Do you know that He made you TO INCREASE AND MULTIPLY?

… To PRODUCE after your own Kind?

In Genesis 1:28, the first (1st) words that He spoke to man is “You are BLESSED.”

The Bible says He has Pleasure in the Prosperity of His saints. (That will be Topic for another day!)

In other words, He has Pleasure in your being BLESSED; not in your just managing to Survive.

But then, He went further to say: INCREASE AND MULTIPLY.

When He sees your womb dying without fulfilling the Purpose He ordained; HE IS NOT PLEASED.

And so, He WILL CORRECT the situation.

You know the Story in Genesis 18:9-14.

And God has told Abraham: “THROUGH THY SEED I will BLESS the world.

And gave him a wife called Sarah – Sarah, your WOMB is to multiply the SEED that you will receive from Abraham that will fulfil my Purpose.

The Bible says, by the time God was speaking; Sarah’s womb was dead.

But because He made your WOMB for His Pleasure – He Resurrected the Womb!

I decree in the Name of the One Who sent me: Every dead womb would cone back to life – Amen!

Do you know that there are negative desires to fulfil the Purpose of God?

You find out that some wombs, when they wait and wait, and they couldn’t Produce a Child – They begin to Produce FIBROID because they know they were made for a Purpose!

That is why I decree: EVERY Fibroid will DRY UP NOW – Amen! And every WOMB will become PRODUCTIVE – Amen!

I want you to know that there is nothing called ‘TOO BIG’ for God.

As far as Fulfilling His Pleasure is concerned; NOBODY is TOO OLD.

5. Do you know He MADE YOUR MOUTH TO SING?

Everybody can Sing!

Oh, don’t mind the Choir Masters (God Bless them!)

They ask you to come for Auditioning and then you Sing.

They say – This one, maybe you should go and be an Usher. Your voice eeh!

Tell them: There is an Organ in Heaven that has my Voice Match because He created me to SING!

In Psalms 34:2, David said: “I will bless the LORD at all times: His Praise shall continually be in my mouth.”

He did not make your mouth to complain, not to murmur, not to backbite, not to query Him, not to challenge Him – BUT TO SING PRAISES UNTO THE LORD!

That is why He says Clearly in John 4:23-24; “I seek for Worshippers.

“But the Hour cometh, and now is, when the True Worshippers shall worship the Father in Spirit and in Truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in Spirit and in Truth.”

Do you know that He says that even if People don’t like your voice; if they say you can’t sing. He says – Make a Joyful NOISE!

At least, when it comes to Noise, they don’t check the Key. He says, open that MOUTH to make a NOISE that is JOYFUL.

When a NOISE is JOYFUL, it is MUSIC in the EARS of GOD.

And you know What? – If you read Matthew 12:22, you will will an Interesting Story there:

They brought to Jesus a man who was blind and dumb. When Jesus healed him; the Blind and Dumb, both SPAKE and SAW!

It should have been: “The Blind and Dumb, both SAW and SPAKE;”

But God is so anxious to HEAR the shouts of Joy; He caused him to SPEAK first (1st) before he could even See!

Let me hear somebody SHOUT Hallelujah – HALLELUJAH!

That is why I have Good News for those of you who have Problems with your Voice: If you are dumb or you are a Stammerer; in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ, before this Night is OUT (or you finish reading this Sermon on the Label of DMC): You will be Singing Melodiously to GOD – AMEN.

I have told you the Testimony of one (1) of my daughters – I have known her for as long as I know my wife. They were in School together.

And suddenly, she was sick. They said she had Cancer of the Vocal Cord.

Before we knew it, they said the only way to Preserve her life was to cut off the Vocal Cord.

By the time I went to visit her at the University College Hospital (UCH, is The Teaching Hospital of University of Ibadan, Oyo State Nigeria); they have already removed the Vocal Cord.

And you know the meaning of that? – She will NEVER to speak again!

I visited her, I comforted her – I Prayed. I know my God, my God can reverse the irreversible!

Months Passed, anytime you want to communicate with her, you Phone her and she will text back. Because she couldn’t talk!

Then one day – I travelled; I returned from the Journey. As I was coming out of the car, I saw a woman who was rolling on the Ground.

Ha! What is wrong with this woman?

I looked more closely, and she looked at me and said, It is I, Daddy. I can SPEAK AGAIN!

All of you who are dumb, my Father will open your mouth this Convention; and you will begin to SING unto the Lord – Amen!

6. You Know What? The Almighty God wants you to be A MAN OR WOMAN OF FAITH.

Faith Pleases Him!

Hebrews 11:6 says: But without Faith it is impossible to Please him:”

And He made you for His Pleasure; also you can Please Him!

As a matter of fact, in Romans 14:23, the Bible says: “Anything that is not Faith, is SIN.”

That is how much He is Pleased by Faith; and how much He hates Doubt.

But then, God knows, according to Romans 10:17, that: “FAITH comes by HEARING; and hearing by the Word of God.

MEANING WHAT? – If you are deaf, it Displeases God.

Because He knows if you can’t hear, then how is the Word going to come in?

And if the Word can’t come into you: Where will the Faith come from?

… And Faith Pleases Him!

So, in Mark 7:32-37, they brought someone to Him, who was deaf and dumb.

He healed the fellow, so the fellow can HEAR and SEE.

And if you read that story, you know what?

It is one of the few Places where everybody Present Praised God!

It says: “HE HAS DONE ALL THINGS well. He made the dumb to speak, and hear.

Are you Deaf?

Oh, Thank God for those who try to make Signs to tell you what is going on.

But most of the time, those of us who are watching them; we don’t even know whether they are interpreting correctly or not!

Wonderful People! – We just see their hands going up and down!

It’s just like in the olden days (in my Village) when only the Headmaster could Pretend to understand what the White man is saying (Laughs!)

Whenever a White man comes into the Village, they call the Headmaster to come and interpret. Whether he is saying the right thing or not, who knows?

I’m sure you know there is a lot of Problems when it comes to interpretation.

When somebody says: He is a big man.’

The interpreter might say: He is a fat man (Laughter!)

What am I saying?

In the Name that is above every other names, everyone of you that is Deaf – Tonight, God will open your ears -Amen!

7. And even if you are in the very “JAW OF DEATH” so much so that He Himself has confirmed it – Not just the Doctors saying there is nothing more we can do.

God Himself says there is hardly no Hope for this.

Your Pastors have come to Pray for you and they say: Well, Hope all your ways are already right? We hope you have written your Will? – Et cetera; et cetera

If you can remind God that Only the LIVING can Praise Him – ONLY the Living can Praise You!

…. You know, He will turn the TIDES.

Because in Isaiah 38:1-19; a King was sick, and God sent His Servant to go and tell him: Put your house in order, because you are going to die.

That is a confirmation from God!

And the King said: Ha! God, Only the Living can Praise You. You already a Mighty, Mighty Mass Choir in Heaven;

I’m here on this side of Eternity Praising You. If I die now, you will loose one (1) Praiser here!

God said, I give you another fifteen (15) Years.

All of you who are listening to me today or reading on the Label of DMC; in the Name that is above every other names, you will be MADE WHOLE.

Because the Bible says: “Let ALL that hath breadth Praise the LORD!”

8. Now it is not only that, what about your EYES?

I have already told you that when He sees the Blind, He will open their eyes; when He sees the Deaf, He will open their Ears; the Dumb, He will open their mouth; the “Withered Hand” will be made Whole; “Weak Legs” will receive Strength.

But there is something wonderful about the fact that He made EYES.

Psalms 94:9, it says – He Who formed the EYES, shall He not SEE?

Oh, you say well, that is talking about Him seeing – That’s important!

Until you see the WONDERS of the fact that He formed EYES.

In 2 Chronicles 16:9, it says: The One Who formed the EYES; His Own Eyes are RUNNING to and fro throughout the whole Earth, to show Himself STRONG on your behalf.

He sees ahead of your enemies – Your enemies can only walk.

The Bible says your adversary, the devil like a roaring lion is WALKING about.

But the EYES of the Almighty God are RUNNING to and fro.

When somebody is walking and another is running; the One Who is RUNNING will arrive first (1st)!

Because He formed the EYES, long before you get to the trap that the enemy has set for you; He will take care of the situation.

9. WHAT ABOUT THE EARS?

I have told you, if you are Deaf, He will open your deaf ears so that you can HEAR the Word of God.

… But there is an additional thing there.

And that is found in the same Psalms 94:9. It says: “He is the One Who PLANTED THE EARS; and so HE CAN HEAR.

As a result of that one, Jeremiah 33:3 says: “If you CALL on Me in the day of trouble, I will answer you.”

HE WILL HEAR your Prayers tonight – Amen!

When you read Mark 10:46-52; do you know there was a beggar by the roadside. And there was a Great Multitude following Jesus Christ.

.., And A lot of Multitude means a lot of NOISE.

Because all those People; I mean, nobody told them to keep quiet – So, they were as noisy as they could be.

And a beggar CRIED and the Lord HEARD him!

I’m encouraging you tonight, God us going to hear your Prayers – Tonight is the Night for your Healing – AMEN.

If you CRY unto Him He is going to HEAR. And when He hears, HE WILL ANSWER!

He said, not only will He answer; He said, I will show you Great and Mighty Things that you have NEVER SEEN BEFORE.

There are Wonders waiting for you: From the TOP of your head to the SOLE of your feet – There are WONDERS about to Happen!

… Because He made you for His PLEASURE.

That is why, any Part of your Body that is not functioning well: Receive a CORRECTIVE Touch from Him TODAY.

Let me conclude!

There can be only one (1) Problem;

Orly one (1) Problem, which you have to deal with straight away.

Because according to Isaiah 59:1-2, it says:

“Behold, the Lord’s hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear.”

It’s ONLY YOUR SIN that can create a Problem – ONLY YOUR SIN!

And so if you know yourself; you know you are doing things contrary to His Will; why don’t you stop it?

If there is a Particular sin that is standing between you and your Healing, why don’t you cry to God;

And say Lord: If I don’t know what sin it is, show me so that I can make Restitution. So that the way will be clear for my Healing to come

… Because this is your Night of Healing.

I will tell you two (2) short stories and I will allow you to go and cry to God.

So, that even as I’m speaking – the Power of God is already working in your Body.

1. I have told you the story of one of my students – He was my student when I was at the University of Lagos.

Then he was on Youth Service by the time I transferred to the University of Ilorin.

And he was passing by – Going to his Station; when he suddenly fell sick.

He was going to the North: and so he told the People – Please take me to my Pastor in Ilorin.

He wasn’t a Member of the Church. You know we were together in the University of Lagos.

Anytime he ate rice, that is when the Problem begins! The Doctors would say he is allergic to Rice (Laughs!)

Can you imagine being ALLERGIC to Food: the Food that the Almighty God says we should receive with Thanksgiving?

So, they brought him! And I was about to Pray for him, when the Almighty God said: before you Pray.

Because in those days, we were much fewer. I was ready to lay hands on anybody – If your Dog is sick, I will lay hands on the dog; your Car is not working, I will lay hands on the car!

“Before you lay hands on him, he has a Restitution to make.

And after a little bit of investigation, I discovered that when he was in Secondary School, he went home to collect School Fees – the father had no money.

But he had a neighbour who had a Bicycle. So the father stole the Bicycle, sold it and used the money to Pay the School Fees of the son.

The Owner of the Bicycle woke up in the morning to discovered that his Bicycle was gone! So he Pronounced a Curse!

… Because his Bicycle was his Royce Rolls (laughter!)

He Pronounced a curse: Unless the one who stole my Bicycle does not eat Rice – that is when he will not be sick.

And then, the Curse must be on him and his family forever!

The old man who stole the Bicycle didn’t know that there was already a Curse placed on him. He kept on eating Rice and he died!

… And the Curse flowed over to the son.

When he told me the story, I said that’s simple!

Is the old man whose Bicycle was stolen alive? – No, he is dead!

Has he a son? He said Yes, I know one (1) of his son who is already in Secondary School.

I said, that is Good!

Now you have some money, could you go and buy a Bicycle for the young fellow?

He said, with all Pleasure, I will do so, as soon as I get well.

I said, No Problem!

As I was about to Pray – God said, the matter has been solved.

So, we just Prayed a Simple Prayer and suddenly, my friend said I’m hungry.

And I said: Go ahead, my food is on the table – And the food on the table is Rice!

The Boy went and just finished my food (laughter!) My wife had to Prepare something else for me.

As soon as what was causing the trouble was moved out of the way, the Healing Power of God flowed.

Whatever is causing your trouble, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ; God will REVEAL it to you, tonight – Amen.

2. One (1) more Story, before you Pray!

You have heard it before – At least the old ones among you.

There was a family, very, very close to my family – We are almost like one.

And the wife was sick. The husband took her to the hospital; and the Doctors said there is nothing more we can do, take your wife home!

So, he brought the wife here (to Redemption Camp) she was in Comma.

When I saw her, I said Daddy, You have to heal this one. I mean, this is Part and Parcel of my family – You have to heal this one. Perform Your Special Miracle.

I laid my hands on her: I Prayed, and I felt the Anointing of God flowing like warm Oil down my hand down to the head of the woman. When my hand touched her head, the Anointing withdrew – flowed back!

I ran to the Altar, lied on my face; and the Almighty God said: Don’t waste your time, she is going to die!

Why? – God said,: “I have warned her again and again, she has refused to stop sinning.”

It will embarrass you to hear that she was the wife of a Pastor.

Ha, Please Lord, help me: and I began to quote the Bible to God – “You are Rich in Mercy; You don’t want the death of a sinner.”

… Let her become conscious so that I can try again.

I came back, laid my hands on her. The same Process: the Anointing flowed like warm Oil down my hand, reached the top of her head – STOPPED and reversed.

I ran back to the Altar, began to quote the Bible to the One Who wrote it. By the time I returned, she was DEAD!

Oh, the Bible says in Proverbs 29:1: “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”

Let’s Bow our head!

God created you for His Pleasure: and that is the Greatest WONDER OF CREATION.

He wanted every Parts of you to bring Pleasures to Him.

If there Is any Part of your body that is not Pleasing Him: He wants to REPAIR, He wants to PUT RIGHT, He wants to give you SPARE PARTS – where need be.

What is it that is standing between you and your HEALING?

Child of God, ask God: Please Lord, reveal it to me, so I can Restitute my ways and my HEALING CAN COME.

ALTAR CALL

And those of you who have not given your life to Jesus Christ before: Why are you Punishing yourself?

Now, you have heard the Truth, surrender your life to Jesus now!

Ask Him to save your soul, ask Him to wash you clean with His Powerful Blood!

He will save your Soul and then HEALING will come.

Talk to Him if you are just surrendering your life to Jesus – Ask Him to Please have Mercy on you. Ask Him to save your soul. Promise Him you will serve Him from now till the end.

And those of you who are already Children of God, cry unto Him: What is hindering my Healing? Lord reveal it to me, so I can Restitute my ways; so that my healing can flow.

Thank You Father; in Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!

CLOSING PRAYER

Saviour, I Bless Your Holy Name for Your Word once again.

I Thank You from the bottom of my heart for the Word You have made Plain to us.

I know we were ALL made for Your Pleasures – And if anything is wrong with our body, you have More than SUFFICIENT ABILITY to do everything right.

First and foremost, I’m committing into Your Hands ALL those who are seeking for Salvation today; Please Father, save their Souls; Let Your Blood wash away their sins; Write their names in the “Book of Life” And answer their Prayers by Fire.

And Lord God Almighty, everyone of Your children who is sick in any form whatsoever; who is incomplete in any form whatsoever; tonight, if there is anything that is standing between them and the answers to their Prayers: Father Reveal to them give them the Grace to RESTITUTE.

And Father, let Your Healing Power flow through them.

… Let this day be a day they will never forget.

Please Lord, very soon, let there be Millions of Testimonies, that we will be able to PRAISE You MORE.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – AMEN!

Let somebody shout Hallelujah – HALLELUJAH!

Oh, the Doctors would tell you it is old age: but the Bible says Moses was a hundred and twenty (120) years old, he was Strong.

There are very few of us who are one hundred and twenty (120) yet.

Let us cry to the Almighty God: I’m not just asking to be Healed, I want to be Whole and Strong.

Let’s go ahead and cry unto the Almighty God.

APPRECIATION

Let’s appreciate the Region that just finished Ministering – What a Powerful Ministration.

It is our Prayer that God who has given you the Talent that you are using for Him; that Talent and Gifting will make room for you in the Name of Jesus – Amen.

OPENING PRAYER
Let us Pray:

Our dear Father in Heaven we want to say Thank You.

We Thank You because this is the Day, the Week, the Month, the Season that you have made and we your children shall rejoice and be glad in it.

We have this confidence in You that all things work together for our Good because we have been called and chosen by you.

So, therefore we believed that before this Convention is over; we shall have reasons to rejoice.

So, we ask God Almighty that in advance take all Glory, take all Honour, take all Adoration.

Speak to us Oh Lord.

And we Pray that we will not just be the Hearers of Your Word but there shall be a Performance of Your Word in our lives.

Thank You Heavenly Father. Blessed be Your Holy Name.

Let the Redeemed of the Most High God shout a loud Hallelujah – Hallelujah!

MESSAGE

The Topic before us this Hour is: WONDERFUL

Isaiah 9:6 – For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the Government shall be upon His Shoulder and his Name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The Mighty God, The Everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace.

When you read Isaiah 9:6, the Scripture tells us that Christ was given to us, a child was born and He was given to us in the world and the Government shall be upon His shoulder.

And the first Name mentioned to us about the Lord Jesus Christ is WONDERFUL.

I am sure you know that there is something that is called the LAW OF FIRST MENTION.

Which means whatever was mentioned or is mentioned first is the most important.

So, therefore Wonderful among the Names of the Lord Jesus Christ is the most important.

So therefore you begin to ask: What is wonderful? – What does it mean?

And I begin to think to myself as I was given this Topic to speak upon it this Hour.

1. I want you to know my Brothers and Sisters; Young Adults and the Youth of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) all over the world: Wonderful is both a Happening and a Person.

I. As a “Happening” it manifested as a Miracle, as a Sign and as a Wonder of Transformation that usually/often leave Spectators or Observers lost for words.

II. But Wonderful as a “Person” or as an “Entity” obviously as we can see manifested itself as our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

So, therefore it is important to note that Wonderful can be Personified for you and I.

For example: As it Pertains to me as a Young Adult – Born Again Christian, a child of God in Psalms 40:1-6 (AMP); especially verses 5 and 6 as it pertains to us, it says

5. Many, O Lord my God, are the wonderful works which you have done, And your thoughts towards us; There is none to compare with you. If I would declare and speak of your wonders, they would be too many to count.
6. Sacrifice and meal offering you do not desire, nor do you delight in them. You have opened the ears and given me capacity to hear (and obey your word); burnt offering and sin offering you do not require.

That is a Young Adult and Youth name David, Personifying Wonderful as it pertains to him.

And if there is any Young Adult and Youth who ought to know what Wonderful pertains, it is this Young man David.

He was a Product of a “One Night Stand”; found himself in Sambisa Forest (The name of a Large Area Forest Reserve in the Northern Part of Nigeria); Fellowshipping with Boko Haram (Terrorist Group), ISIS (Terrorist Group) and the rest.

But yet in that Jungle; Wonderful was Personified to him.

Can I Pray for every Young Adults and Youth under my voice – Who is a Castaway? Who has been forgotten? Who has been Pushed aside?

If you believe you are the one God is speaking to let your Amen be loud and clear – Amen.

2. How can wonderful be Personified to me?

As a Youth Pastor, as a Man of God; it can be Personified using the example of Jesus Christ.

In Act 10:38 (AMP);

38. How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with great Power; and He went about doing Good and Healing all who were oppressed by the devil, because God was with Him. 

Because He carries the anointing, He went about doing Wonderful Things.

And because we are Representatives of the Lord Most High – Our Lord Jesus Christ; we are also meant to go about in our Ministry doing Wonderful Things.

That is why the Bible tells us in the Book of Romans 15:18 and 19 (AMP).

This is Apostle Paul speaking here – He says:

18. For I will not [even] presume to speak of anything except what Christ has done through me [as an instrument in His hands], resulting in the obedience of the Gentiles [to the gospel], by word and deed,
19. with the power of signs and wonders, [and all of it] in the power of the Spirit. So [starting] from Jerusalem and as far away as Illyricum, I have fully preached the gospel [faithfully preaching the good news] of Christ [where it had not before been preached]. 

Apostle Paul who was destined for hell, who came into the Salvation of the Lord Most High when he had an encounter with God on the way.

And he became the foremost Youth Pastor, the foremost Young Adult and Youth Pastor, the foremost Young Adult and Youth Apostle of his time – And he went about doing Good.

Can I Pray for every Young Adults, every Youth Pastor, every Youth – Wherever you may be, and every Singles in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); wherever you may be listening to me, watching this broadcast right now or reading on the Label of DMC: From today henceforth, you shall begin to experience Wonderful Things in your Ministry – Amen.

If you believe you are the one God is speaking to; let God hear your Amen loud and clear – AMEN!

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to go and Minister at a Young Adult and Youth Church in an inner Village in Kaduna State (Nigeria).

It was a Ministration for three (3) days and I went there, asking God to use me for His Glory.

When I got there, the Pastor said, Oh, we did not believe you were going to come – We have invited many other Big Men of God, but they didn’t come.

I said well the first difference is: I’m not a Big Man of God. I’m a small boy of God.

Number two (2) is that Young Adults and Youth, that is my Passion.

… That is why God has asked me to come.

After we finished Ministering for three (3) days we left.

The following week the Pastor called us and said: Sir, you will not believe what happened to us.

I said what happened?

He said after you left; a family came carrying their dying and sick mother. She was dying of HIV.

The doctors had given up on her and they said take her home, let her go and die in her own bed – So, that you can have a few more hours with her before she Passes away.

They said then we rushed her to the Church.

When they rushed her to the Church; the Pastor said: Well, there was a Young Man that came to Minister not too long ago. Go and lay your mother on that Altar and just Praise God, don’t ask for anything – Just Praise God and then take your mother home.

They did so for one (1) Hour. They took the mother home.

And by Sunday morning things had changed.

When they came back they went to the Pastor to come and share their Testimony that our mother who should have died over the weekend is still alive.

The Pastor said: Take her to the Hospital.

On Monday morning, they took her to the Hospital the doctors ran all the tests on her – And there was no more trace of HIV virus.

They ran the test again there was no more trace of HIV virus.

They ran back to the Church to share their Testimony and everybody who heard the Testimony began to open their mouth in Wonder.

Did it have to do with me? – No!

It has to do with the God who has Called and Sent me!

Can i Pray once again for every Young Adults and Youth Pastor in the Ministry all over the world in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – From this day henceforth; you will begin to experience Wonderful Things in your Ministry in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.

If you believe so: Let God hear your Amen loud and clear – AMEN.

What does Wonderful mean to be – As a son, as a brother or a husband and as a father?

Well, the Bible tells us in the Book of 1 John 5:4 (AMP) that: For  everyone born of God is Victorious and Overcomes the world; and this is the Victory that has conquered and overcome the world — our [continuing, persistent] Faith [in Jesus the Son of God].

So, therefore If Jesus who is Wonderful is Victorious:

I. It means as a son, i ought to be a Victorious and a Wonderful son.

II. It means as a husband, I am a Wonderful husband.

III. It means of a father, I am a Wonderful father.

IV. It means as a sibling, I am a Wonderful sibling.

Why? – Because I am Joint Heirs with Christ.

I don’t know who God is speaking to – Any Young Adult and Youth that have been labeled a “Black Sheep” in their family. I have come backed by the Grace and Anointed of God from Heaven to decree and declare over you – From this day henceforth, you will no longer be the “Black Sheep” – Amen. You will no longer be the Failure – Amen. You will no longer be the Victim but you shall become a source of Wonder in your family, in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Jesus.

What does Wonderful Pertain to me?

As a Personify – Well it Pertains to mean just as simply as a Human Being who appreciates the work of God all around me.

That is why Job 37:1-16 (AMP) and we will focus on verses 14 to 16.

14. “Listen to this, Job; Stand still and consider the wonders of God.
15. “Do you know how God establishes  and commands them, And makes the lightning of His [storm] cloud shine?
16. “Do you know about the layers of thick clouds [and how they are balanced and poised in the heavens]. The wonderful works of Him who is perfect in knowledge

Do you know Job was going through a tough time?

He was experiencing Pandemic, just like we are right now.

But in the midst of that Pandemic; God spoke to him and said look around you – You can see Wonders all around you. You can see Wonderful Things that I have created all around you.

If I can do that, then I can take care of your situation.

*I don’t know who God is speaking to at this moment – Wherever you may be located, whatever situation you find yourself at the moment. I hereby decree the God who admits the Wonderful Things around you; He will make your life Wonderful – Amen. He will make your Destiny Wonderful – Amen. He will make your Story Wonderful – Amen.

If you believe so, let God hear your Amen loud and clear – AMEN.

Please take note, my dear Brothers and Sisters, that the word Wonderful is a “Tri-Syllabic Word”.

Tri-Syllabic word means it contains three (3) Syllables.

I. “WON” is the first (1st) Syllable.

II. “WONDER” is the second (2nd) Syllable.

III. “WONDERFUL” is the third (3rd) Syllable.

Just like Trinity, which means this name, Wonderful has to do with the Trinity in Heaven.

How do I notice?

I. Well, the first (1st) Syllable “WON” is the Past Tense of Win.

Which means that Victory has already taken Place. Not that you have to fight for it, somebody already fought for it.

Somebody already Assured the Victory; Somebody already Guaranteed the Victory.

That is why when Jesus Christ spoke on the Cross, when He was about to give up the Ghost – And He said: It is Finished.

What He was simply saying is that: The Victory has been Won.

When the devil and demons heard Jesus Christ speak, they miss heard – They thought Jesus Christ was saying: “I am Finished”, but they were mistaken.

When they heard those words in Hell, they began to rejoice.

They were throwing a Party and they were dancing “Shoki” and all manners of dances.

But when Jesus entered hell, shock cut them – Their “Shoki” turn to “Shock”.

Can I Pray for somebody under the sound of my voice or reading on the Label of DMC – Every battles of life raging against you; whatever it may be; wherever it may be coming from either in your father’s house or in your mother’s house. Wherever it may be coming from; i want you to know that Victory is Guaranteed – Amen.

Why? – Because 1 Corinthians 15:57 (AMP) tells us: But thanks be to God, who gives us the Victory [as conquerors] through our Lord Jesus Christ.

… Victory is Assured!

Wherever you are if you believe Victory is yours declare it – Victory is Mine!

II. The Second (2nd) Syllable of the word wonderful is “WONDER”.

And I want you to know that everything about God is Wonder – Everything.

That is why the Scripture tells us in Psalms 72:18 (AMP) it says and I read: Blessed be the  Lord  God, the God of Israel, who alone does wonderful things.

So, when you are thinking of the word “Wonder”; it is all about God.

And because you and I are children of the Most High God and because this is a Ministry, whose surname is God – The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

It thereby means that only things that should be happening in this Mission are Wonderful things – Amen.

So, if you believe wherever you are listening to this broadcast or you are reading this on the Label of DMC and you are a Member of this family – the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), I have come with Good News for you and Bad News for all your enemies. In the Name of the Lord of Host, all throughout your life you shall experience Wonder – Amen.

If you believe that you are the one God is speaking to, let him hear your Amen loud and clear – AMEN.

III. The third (3rd) Syllable in the word ‘WONDERFUL’ is Full.

Full simply means it is full to Overflowing – It is not Empty; it is not Half Empty.

That is why when you read the Book of Psalms 23:1-6 (AMP) – You see David, a Young Adult and Youth begin to talk about God.

And it says when you get to verse five (5), it says: …You have anointed and refreshed my head with oil; my cup overflows.

He is talking about “Full to Overflowing” because he knows as a Young Adult and Youth, who does not have Experience, who does not have a lots of money – God can still make everything Wonderful to Overflowing.

I hereby Pray for every Young Adult and Youth wherever you are located or reading this now on the Label of DMC – Who is seeking the face of God for one Breakthrough or the other. By the time you leave this Convention, in the Name of the Lord of Host, that buckets that you came here empty with; that bucket that you came here half full; in the Name of the Lord of Host;it shall begin to flow to Overflowing – Amen.

If you believe you are the one God is speaking to let your Amen overshadow that of your Neighbour – Amen.

1. Now, Wonders can be Performed around you and you can be a Spectator.

That is why in John 5:1-7; there was a man who was a Spectator for thirty eight (38) Years – Wonders were taking Place around him every Year, every Season, every Month, every Week.

Miracles were happening, Wonderful Things were happening to other People but he was just a Spectator until a day like today, when God decided to change his story.

You may have come here all these years for seventy (70) years, eighty (80) years, ninety (90) years, and you have not experienced Wonder quite yet; I have come with Good News for you – Today, your Season of being a Spectator has come to an end – Amen.

If you believe you are the one God is speaking to let your God hear your Amen loud and clear – Amen.

2. Wonders can be Performed in you or to you and Others around you are now the Spectators.

How do we know these?

In Mark 10:46-52 – There was a Young Man, a Young Adult and Youth named Bartimaeus – That the whole world have labelled “Blind the Bathemus”.

That was not the name the father gave him; that was not the name the mother calls him – It is the world that labelled him “Blind the Bartimaeus”.

Even till today, many people still refer to him as “Blind by Bartimaeus”.

But for many years, he was not even a Spectator because he had no eyes to see.

But on a day like today; his story changed and he became the source of Wonder, and all around him became Spectators.

I hereby decree by the Anointing of God that is upon this Commission – In the Name of the Lord of Host, Wonders will begin to take Place in your life, in your home, in your family, in your finances, in your business, in your career, in your academics, and all around you will observe the Wonder of God over your life – Amen.

If you believe you are the one God is speaking to let him hear your Amen loud and clear – Amen!

3. And then finally, do you know that Wonders can be Performed through you?

Not that it happened to somebody else and you were a Spectator; not that it happened to you and Others were Spectators because that just simply means that you are Blessed.

But Wonders can be Performed through you and the whole earth, even Hell and Heaven will acknowledge the Glory of God all over you.

It is Possible my Brothers and Sisters – That God can use you as a “Channel of Blessings” in your Generation – Amen.

That is why God has brought you here to this Convention or made you to be reading now on the Label of DMC!

And that was a case of Esther.

Esther was a house girl in a Strange land but somehow through the Wonders of God, she became a Queen.

And the Bible says God put her there for such a time as this!

Do you know that it is in the “Darkest Hour” that Light shines the brightest?

The whole world is going through a Pandemic right now but it is Possible that God can use you to be a Vessel, to be a Shining Light, to be an Agent of Change in your Generation – Amen.

I don’t know who God is speaking to, but I believe it is one Young Adult, in addition to myself, listening to me right now or reading now on the Label of DMC – In the Name of the Lord of Host, all the days of your life from now on, the Wonders of God will be Performed through you – Amen.

If you believe so let your Amen be loud and clear – Amen.

In conclusion, 2 Corinthians 7:1 (AMP) says: Therefore, since we have these [great and wonderful] Promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from everything that contaminates body and spirit, completing holiness [living a consecrated life—a life set apart for God’s Purpose] in the fear of God.

ALTAR CALL

My Brothers and Sisters, we have all these Wonderful Promises – Wonderful Promises of Victory; Wonderful Promises of being Agents and Vessels of Wonders.

But all of these things can only happens:

I. If we are no longer living a life of sin.

II. If we are no longer entangled with the unrighteousness of this world.

III. If we are no longer blemished by all the atrocities that is taking Place in our Generation.

So therefore, wherever you are – I want you to bow your heads and talk to God.

You know, even if your Pastor does not know, even if your Neighbour does not know; you know that God knows the kind of life you have been living.

Yes, you want a Wonderful Life, but it cannot happened for you if you are living in sin.

So, the first (1st) Thing you should do is to ask God for forgiveness of sins – Ask Him to cleanse you, ask Him to make you Pure as white as snow, ask Him to give you a Brand New Beginning. That Old Things will Pass away and all Things will become New.

Ask him to give you a Good Name, a Wonderful Name like Wonderful.

And then commit your entire Destiny into His Hands, that He will bless you and make you Wonderful in your Generation and beyond.

Thank you Father. Blessed be Your Holy Name.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Pray – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER

For every request you have put before God this Hour, I stand here as a Mouthpiece of the Most High God and I decree and declare over you that it shall be done.

Your Salvation shall be secured – Your sins shall be washed away, you shall receive a Brand New Beginning (A New Beginning of Wonderful).

You will not only see Wonderful Things Happening, you will experience Wonderful Things.

You will not only experience Wonderful Things, through you, Others will experience Wonderful Things.

So shall it be – In the Name of God the Father, in the Name of God the Son, in the Name of God the Holy Spirit.

Thank you Lord, for in Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen

IGNITE YOUTH SUMMIT 2020 CONFERENCE – THE DOMINION MINDSET has been a Program that I know will remain Indelible in the memories of many Young People – Not just in Nigeria but all over the world.

INTRODUCING THE SPEAKER:

And now, to bring the Word of God to us before we close the Program today is:

One of our fathers, a much sort after Speaker (among Young People).

He is the Assistant General Overseer (AGO) in Charge of Administration and Personnel, Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).

And also the Pastor in Charge of Region 1 of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – Pastor Johnson Folorunsho Odesola.

SPEAKER’S MESSAGE:

Thank you very much, Dr. (Pastor) Ayo Bello.

He has put me under very, very intense stress – He wants me to sit down and do as all the other Speakers have done.

But I told him: “A Soldier will always remain a Soldier!”

I am sure that God has been blessing all of you as you watch across the Globe (or reading now on the Label of DMC).

I Thank God for all the Speakers – for what they have done.

The Almighty God will Bless them – Amen.

And I want to appreciate the Assistant General Overseer (AGO) in Charge of Youths and Young Adults – Pastor Peter Oma Amenkhienan – Who has allowed me to come and cap it up.

I’m not supposed to be the one to round it up, but the Assistant General Overseer (AGO) Youths (because it’s their Program).

And Thank God I am Part and Parcel of them.

Let me just add something, because of the few minutes left.

Because after listening to Evangelists, to Teachers and other Great Speakers; I said, all I need to do is PRAY!

So I want to Pray and say some few words.

OPENING PRAYER:

Father in Heaven, Thank You as we come together in this Capping Up Session.

We want to say THANK YOU!

I Pray that the few things I want to add will bring BLESSINGS to the People of God.

We Thank You!

Lord, I Pray that this man: That his focus will disappear and God will appear.

Holy Spirit will take Possession of my mouth; that the few minutes I have, will not be wasted minutes.

And the People who are connected or reading now on the Label of DMC, will not see it as “Wasted Period” in the Name of Jesus.

Thank You Father; in Jesus’ Mighty Name we Pray – Amen!

Now, I want to just re-echo, because we are looking at DOMINION MINDSET.

Now let us start from the beginning!

From the beginning of time, in Genesis 1:26-28; God called the Council of Heaven and said:

Let us make Man in our Image; and let them have Authority, DOMINION. And let them RULE over what We have created.

And the Bible said: He blessed them, and He gave them Five (5) Fold Commission.

… That is what God did from the beginning.

But it is important that you RESET YOUR MIND to be able to capture what God said.

Now, God said to the man called Jeremiah in Jeremiah 1:4-5; He said:

“I have lifted you, I ORDAINED you as a Prophet to Nations.

But after God said that, He looked back to check whether Jeremiah actually captured it.

And He asked him: What exactly did you see?

And Jeremiah replied that he saw exactly what God was showing him -Jeremiah 1:11-12.

… And he said: I SAW IT!

So, you need to SEE it, and you need to PROGRAM your life to be able to know it and get yourself into what God has done.

Because the way you see yourself is the way God will relate with you!

That is why the Bible says in the Book of Proverbs 23:7: “For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:”

… Whatsoever you think, you can!

If those things God Said can come to your mind, then it is done!

Let us read what God said when He was giving instructions in Deuteronomy 28:1 and 13:

1 And it shall come to Pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee THIS DAY, that the LORD thy God will set thee on High above all Nations of the Earth:

… You are not meant to be a Personality, you are meant to be an Institution – Blessing Nations!

13 And the LORD shall make thee the Head, and not the Tail; and thou shalt be Above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to OBSERVE and to DO them:

There are People in life, who have never discovered themselves.

There are People who don’t really know what is happening to them.

There are those who discovered but they don’t discover fully.

There are People satisfied with “JUST ENOUGH’.

But God says: “You will be the Head and the Tail.”

1. You can make Impacts, if you decide to – You can make Positive or Negative Impact.

But let me say this and I will say few other things after that.

Now, I will like you to know, and I have said it on many occasions (severally) that:

God is the Original Creator – But He is in the ONLY Creator; you are a Co-Creator.

He said: Let them have DOMINION; whatsoever is not there, you can DO IT!

Nobody created for us an Aircraft; we created it – That is the Invention of man.

You are reading this Message on your Phone, iPad, etc. Those were not created by God – Men invented them!

Because you are a Co-Creator; and whatever you created around you is what you will see.

“You will live in the world that you create!”

If you create sorrows around you, that is where you will live!

So, you are not a CONSUMER – No!

You are not a Consumer, you are a Contributor – You must have that in mind!

… That’s No. 1.

2. You can DO anything you determined to do – YOU ARE IN CHRIST.

Now, the Book of Philippians 4:13 says: I can DO ALL THINGS!

I am not an English Major but I have a “Common Sense” English.

The way Dr. Ayo is speaking his English, you know, is different from the way I speak – You know, all those kind of British English and all that.

But I am happy that with my clouded accent, Thank God I am Unique.

You are also Unique!

You know you don’t speak like me and I don’t speak like you!

So, my Uniqueness is what makes me different – I’m not your Photocopy, and you are not my Photocopy.

So you can DO all things through Christ that STRENGTHENS you!

Otherwise, People like Caleb (at age eighty five, 85) could not have said: “Give me this Mountain.”

… He was able to DO IT!

People like David, in 1 Samuel 17:32, he said: “Let no man be afraid….”

What you are afraid of; you are capable of handling it!

Sometimes, when I think about David, I believed God favoured him Specially.

I mean, he will tell his father: Daddy, while attending to the sheep today, a lion attacked me.

And the father will say: Is that so?

The next day, he came back from the field, he said: Today, a bear attacked me.

And the father said: Is that so?

Then after he was Anointed King, he was sent to the battlefield to take food to his brothers; and God favoured him there!

… You can DO anything you set your Mind to do!

3. You are not supposed to be an Echo – YOU ARE A VOICE!

… You are a VOICE (and not an Echo!)

And this is where I fault all of you who say: You know Politics is a dirty Game.

Who will Wash it?

You sing: “This world is not my home…”

No wonder you are now begging for crumbs: lobbying all the People in Government.

You need to believe God created you for a Purpose, and put you here to FULFILL that Purpose.

… And that is he essence of what we are doing today.

To be able to OVERHAUL our hearts; to be able to think CORRECTLY.

You know, when we speak about DOMINION MINDSETS; there are Archaic Mindsets – Negative Mindsets, Defeated Mindsets, and all kinds of Mindsets which exists.

But what we are saying today, is for you to be able to make IMPACT with all God has deposited in you; not just age!

Some People are Proud of their age today – I am advanced in age.

Thank God for your age – You are Methuselah.

You know how old he was.

So, you can DO MUCH MORE than you are doing now.

… You can do much More!

And let me cap it all – listen:

4. YOUR WORD IS STRONG ON THE EARTH.

Everyone that is Born Again, the Spirit of God dwells in you. The Bible says in 1John 4:4:

“Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because GREATER is HE that is in you, than he that is in the world.”

So, you can do much more than you are doing now; and you have the AUTHORITY to do the needful.

Because in the Book of 1 Peter 2:9, it says: *”But ye are a Chosen Generation, a Royal Priesthood, an Holy Nation, a Peculiar People; that ye should shew forth the Praises of Him who hath called you out of darkness into his Marvellous Light:”

And Ecclesiastes 8:4A, it says: Where the Word of a King is, there is Power:”

… You are a King, and your WORD is STRONG!

You were born a Star and you must SHINE!

He says in Isaiah 60:1: “Arise, Shine; for thy light is come, and the Glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.”

… That is WHO your ARE!

Your Impact is what the world is waiting for and that is why it is very CRUCIAL that this Season: Your Voice will be LOUD and CLEAR.

Thank God for this IGNITE Program (by the Youth) – You are to take your Position in Politics!

You won’t start today and then become a Governor; start from the Grassroots.

You are to take your Position in Sports, in the Entertainment Industry, etc.

Can you see all the nonsense going on in the Social Media?

Where are You?

Some of you have been empowered with Good Brain – We need THE DOMINION MINDSET!

If anybody needs to RULE and DOMINATE the Earth – YOU ARE!

The Bible says in Genesis 1:28: “And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be FRUITFUL, and MULTIPLY, and REPLENISH the Earth, and SUBDUE IT: and have DOMINION”.

… And these are what you are called to do!

It is your world versus theirs!

… And darkness CANNOT comprehend Light, anyday – God is always in Charge.

Enough is enough, of looking on the four (4) walls – Let our Vision go beyond that!

If you just live for YOURSELF, you have not lived – For you live is to make IMPACTS!

That is why we don’t refer to Jesus as Late (of course He is in Heaven).

The Saints (Peter, Paul); we don’t call them Late Apostles.

And tell the Lord: Lord, I have Played Church enough – I’m not talking about People going to Church.

Quite a number of People go to Church, but the GOD of the Church is not in them.

I’m not talking about People bearing Christian names (John, Mary) – No!

That is not what I’m saying – Is the God of Heaven dwelling in you?

When God is in you, you will have DOMINION.

Father, we Thank You!

King of Glory, we are Grateful to You for this IGNITE SUMMIT 2020.

Thank You Almighty God for the People who are surrendering their lives to You today.

Wherever they are reading this Message now (on the Label of DMC): And we know Prayer had no distance limitations.

So I Pray for all of them who are Sincerely and Genuinely abandoning SIN and are confessing; even while I am still Praying – Forgive their sins, in the Name of Jesus!

I Pray that the Power of God that Rejuvenate, Transform, Regenerate: will enter into their lives, in the Name of Jesus!

My Father, I don’t have Strength to save anyone; Your Blood was shed – You are the One Who Suffered; You are the One they Punished; You are the One Who was Crucified; You are the One Who cried in Agony.

Lord let the Spirit of the Lord today, work on those individuals, and let them be Born Again.

OPENING PRAYER

King of Glory; the Ancient of Days; the Most High God; the Almighty – We worship You.

We give You all the Glory and Honour for everything that You have done for us as Individuals, as Families, as Your Church.

We give You all the Glory and Honour because without You; we won’t be alive today – So, we bless Your Holy Name.

Please, accept our worship in Jesus Name.

And even as we Proceed Lord God Almighty into Your Words; we Pray that You will send Your Words to us Your children.

And as it goes forth Lord, let it bring Healings Power to us – Physically Heal us; Mentally Heal us; Spiritually Heal us.

We will be continuing our Series: From Lockdown to Leaping Up – Part 5

Our Foundational Bible Text as you all know is in Acts of Apostles Chapter 3 Verse 1 to 8.

We won’t read that again since we have read it several times.

But we will want to read a Supporting Bible Text in Genesis 28: 10-22.

BIBLE TEXT: GENESIS 28: 10-22

10 And Jacob went out from Beersheba, and went toward Haran.

11 And he lighted upon a certain place, and tarried there all night, because the sun was set; and he took of the stones of that place, and put them for his pillows, and lay down in that place to sleep.

12 And he dreamed, and behold a ladder set up on the earth, and the top of it reached to heaven: and behold the angels of God ascending and descending on it.

13 And, behold, the LORD stood above it, and said, I am the LORD God of Abraham thy father, and the God of Isaac: the land whereon thou liest, to thee will I give it, and to thy seed;

14 And thy seed shall be as the dust of the earth, and thou shalt spread abroad to the west, and to the east, and to the north, and to the south: and in thee and in thy seed shall all the families of the earth be blessed.

15 And, behold, I am with thee, and will keep thee in all places whither thou goest, and will bring thee again into this land; for I will not leave thee, until I have done that which I have spoken to thee of.

16 And Jacob awaked out of his sleep, and he said, Surely the LORD is in this place; and I knew it not.

17 And he was afraid, and said, How dreadful is this place! this is none other but the house of God, and this is the gate of heaven.

18 And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and took the stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it.

19 And he called the name of that place Bethel: but the name of that city was called Luz at the first.

20 And Jacob vowed a vow, saying, If God will be with me, and will keep me in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat, and raiment to put on,

21 So that I come again to my father’s house in peace; then shall the LORD be my God:

22 And this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s house: and of all that thou shalt give me I will surely give the tenth unto thee.

The last time that we spoke about Leaping Up from Lockdown (Specifically: From Lockdown to Leaping Up – Part 4); we discussed that the issue of our High can I leap.

And we told you that: If it is the Almighty God that is lifting you up; the Sky does not have to be your Limit; it is Heaven itself that will be your Limit.

I’m sure that by now; you will be wondering: What has this Passage got to do with Leaping Up from Lockdown?

Well, I will go straight to the Point:

1. Before you Take Off; you must consider the Landing.

If you are going to fly an Aeroplane; it is very easy to Take Off – Ask the Pilot.

They will tell you that Taking Off is not a Big Deal – You land the Plane on the Run Way; Start the Engine, Put the Engine into Full Force, Set the Ball Rolling and when the Plane gets to a Particular Speed; you put certain things, they put the Pedal or whatever is it, Joystick or whatever and the Plane will Take Off.

But Landing is an entirely different Story.

And before you Take Off; before you begin to Leap; you must consider Landing.

Why? – Ecclesiastes 7:8 says that: Better is the End of a thing than the Beginning thereof.

It is far, far better to remain Ordinary than to become an Ex-Successful.

If you will just stay in your quiet corner, an “Ordinary Person”; nobody knows you; you have made no Impact anywhere – That is better than to “Used to be Successful”.

Never owing a car, joining buses when you want to move from one (1) Place to the other; Thanking God for Life is better than to used to have your own car, to used to have a Driver driving you and then all of a sudden to have no more Vehicle(s) to be called your own.

When you go to the Bus Stop and they stepped on you and you say: Ha, ha; can’t you see that you are stepping on me?

They will say: You don’t want to be stepped on; what are you doing at the Bus Stop?

You will say: It is not your fault.

It is my Prayer for everyone of you listening to me today or reading on the Label of DMC now: You will never be an Ex-Champion – Amen!

Now, why must you settle the issue of Landing before you Take Off?

There is a Popular Saying that says: One of the Most Dangerous Things that can ever happened to a Man is to be Successful before they are ready!

The Bible is Full of Examples – Let me take one (1) or two (2).

1. In 2 Chronicles 26: 3-21; the Bible tells us the Story of a boy who became a King at the age of sixteen (16) – He was sixteen (16) years old when he became a King.

And things was going on very well – Prosperity here, Power here and everything.

But because he wasn’t ready before he succeeded; he ended up a Leper!

2. I will take another example that I’m sure that you are familiar with – The Story of Ephraim and Manasseh found in Genesis 48: 8-20.

When Joseph brought his two (2) sons – That is Ephraim and Manasseh to his father for a father’s blessing. And he Placed Manasseh the first (1st) born where the Right Hand of the father will land; Ephraim the second (2nd) born where the Left Hand will land because Manasseh was the first (1st) born.

The father crossed his hands – Placed his Right Hand on the head of the Younger (Ephraim) and the Left Hand on the Older (Manasseh).

When Joseph tried to intervened; the father said: I know what I’m doing – The Younger (Ephraim) is going to be far, far Greater than the Elder (Manasseh). And he blessed them.

By the time we get to Deuteronomy 33:17; the Bible tells us that Ephraim has Prospered ten (10) Times more than his brother Manasseh.

But the Prosperity entered into his head – The Prosperity became an Idol to him!

So, by the time we get to Hosea 4:17; the Almighty God said: Ephraim has joined himself to Idols; leave him alone.

But then God said in Hosea 5:9 that: Ephraim shall be Desolate.

The Bible says in Luke 14: 28-30 that: Before you build a House; you should sit down and count the Cost.

The Taller the Tower is going to be; the deeper must be the Foundation!

Before you begin to Leap; before you begin to Plan for Great Things, Mighty Things that will come to you after this Lockdown; Please Think!

Why I’m I saying this now?

As a matter of fact; if there is a way of Preaching this Sermon just to my “Own Children” alone; that is what I should have done.

Not because I’m Selfish but occasionally; there are things you say only to your children that annoyed Outsiders.

And you keep saying: I’m not talking to you; I’m talking to my children. But now Lockdown has made the door open to everybody.

My Beloveth Children; Success is Coming your Way – Amen!

… And I mean Big One – Amen!

You say: How do you know sir?

Well, Isaiah 3:10 says: Say ye to the Righteous, it shall be well with them.

Colossians 1:27 says: Christ in you, the Hope of Glory!

And then a Prophesy came through one of my sons that I have known for a long time to be without any doubt a Prophet of the Most High God.

And the Prophesy is based on Judges 14: 5-14.

It is the Story of Samson who wanted to take one of the daughter of the Philistines for a wife.

As he was going, he was attacked by a lion. He tore the lion into two (2) and he went to the In-laws house.

Some days later, when he was Passing by; he saw that some bees had already made a house inside the lion and they have Produced some Honey. So, he took some Honey from the carcass of the Lion and ate it.

When he got to the In-laws house this time around; he threw a Riddle to those who came to rejoice with him.

And said: Could you tell me the meaning of the Riddle? – OUT OF THE EATER, FOOD HAS COME!

The Almighty God spoke to this my son and said: Out of the Lockdown; Mighty Breakthroughs will come to His Children – Amen!

Now, let us now go back to our Bible Text in Genesis 28: 10-22.

Jacob was running away from home after receiving the Blessings from his father.

And some People will say: How can now God meet somebody like that on the Way and Promise him tremendous Blessings?

They will say: How can God bless a thief who has just stolen his brother’s Blessings?

1. Well to start with: God said: I am talking to you as the God of your father Abraham!

… God took him all the way back to the root.

WHO IS ABRAHAM?

Now Genesis 12: 1-3 says:

I. That is a Man that God called.

II. That is a Man that God Promised that: I will bless you, I will make your name Great, I will bless all those who bless you et cetera et cetera.

So, God says to this Young Man who was worn out from running from his brother and say: Hey, I am the God of your father Abraham.

… He (God) didn’t even start with Isaac.

He said: The Promise that I made to Abraham; I hand it over to you.

Now, Thank God that in Galatians 3: 13-14; the Bible says: Those of us who are Christians are also of the “Seed of Abraham” and the Blessings of Abraham will be ours!

2. Jacob didn’t Steal – He bought his brother’s Blessings.

You need to Pay attention to that because it is very important!

You see; in the Olden Days there is what they called: TRADE BY BARTER

In those days; they didn’t have what we call Currency – So, if you have Potato and I have Lamb.

You want meat and I want Potato; we will just Exchange – You will give me Potato and I will give you my Lamb.

… It is called Trade by Barter!

In Genesis 25: 29-34; Esau said: I want food, Jacob said I want the Birthright of the first (1st) Born.

Is it ok by you?

Esau said: No Problem; who cares about Birthright? Just give me food!

… So, this man didn’t Steal, he bought.

And the Word of God is clear on the issue of Trade by Barter:

I. Luke 6:38 says: You Give, you shall be Given.

II. Proverbs 11: 24-25 says: There is he that scattereth and yet increaseth

It says: The Liberal Soul shall be made fat.

… You Trade by Barter!

III. Ecclesiastes 11:3 says: If you load the Cloud, finally it will give you back rain.

IV. John 3:16 says: For God so love the world; He gave His Only Begotten Son. That whoever believeth in Him will not Perish but will have Everlasting Life.

… God has Only One Begotten Son, He wants many more children.

So, by Trade by Barter, He released His Only Begotten Son to the world and today according to Romans 8:29; the Only Begotten Son has become the first (1st) Born of many Brethren.

So, where is the Trade by Barter here?

God said to this Young Man (Jacob): I want to be your Partner; I will be with you; I will Prosper you and you will be Great.

What do you say Young Man (Jacob)?

The Young Man (Jacob) says: You offer me that? – I Promise You everything that You give me; I will Pay my Tithe; I will be like my dad because I know from my dad that in Genesis 14: 17-20; my dad Paid Tithe to the King of Salem.

So, when you hear People talking about Tithe being the Law; Moses wasn’t born when Abraham gave Tithe; he wasn’t born when Jacob made a Vow.

I WILL PAY MY TITHE!

Now, there are those who will say: Of course everything that is in Malachi 3: 8-11 – They will tell you that: No, No; they are under the Law. God was speaking only to the “Seeds of Abraham”.

No Argument!

Except that when you now read Galatians 3:29; the Bible says that: If you are a Christian then you are of the “Seed of Abraham”!

So, Jacob said to God: Let us be Partners; I agree with Your Offer.

If You will just be with me, You do what You said – You Prospered me, You take me High; I also will be a very “Good Boy”.

And then what happened to Jacob?

Let us see the results of that little discussion:

When you read Genesis 32: 9-10 – When he (Jacob) was Praying on his way back home; he said to God: When I was Crossing this Place – The Last Time I was Crossing this Place; I had only my Staff with me. That was all I had!

Now, I’m returning with two (2) Bands!

I have Good News for someone listening to me today or reading now on the Label of DMC: You entered this Lockdown with Nothing. By this time Next Year; as my God lives; you won’t even be able to recognise yourself – Amen!

How did it happened?

Well, in Genesis 30: 27-43 – Laban who was the Number One (1) “419 Man” said to Jacob after he had dribbled him here and there over who is to marry and who not to marry.

The boy wanted to marry one (1); Laban made sure he ended up with four (4) – Funny fellow Laban!

DMC NOTES: Below are the Full details of the Names of the four (4) wives that Jacob ended up with the full names of the twelve (12) children from the four (4) wives:

Jacob is said to have had twelve (12) sons by four (4) women – His wives are Leah and Rachel and his concubines are Bilhah and Zilpah – Who were, in order of their birth: Reuben, Simeon, Levi, Judah, Dan, Naphtali, Gad, Asher, Issachar, Zebulun, Joseph, and Benjamin – All of whom became the heads of their own family groups, later known.

He now said to Jacob: What do you want to be your Wages? Just tell me what you want me to Pay you for serving me?

Because since you came; things has been Picking up Mightily here.

Jacob said: Let us reach an Agreement:

1. Every Animals that is born that is either Speckled or Ringstraked or Spotted – Let that be my Salary.
2. The one that comes out normal – He said we will leave that for you.

He (Laban) said I agreed!

What he (Laban) didn’t know according to Genesis 31: 1-13 is that God has already shown something to Jacob in a Dream.

He said that anytime the animals conceived; he will have a Dream and he will see that the Male Animals Fertilising the Females are either Spotted or Speckled or Ringstraked.

… God showed him (Jacob) that in a Vision.

And so the boy Practicalised what God showed him in a Vision.

Anytime the animals come to drink and he knows that they are about to be Pregnant; he will get some Popular Trees, make Spots and Sprays and then everything and laid it before the animals.

Do you know that: If you make God your Partner; every Night that you sleep He will show you in a Dream the Business that will baffled the world!

He will show you what not to do – All you need do is to wake up and begin to do it!

Practical Life Experience:

1. I’m sure that you have heard the Story of s man who was a Manager in his Place of work.

And he says: Almighty God, for how long will I continue to say Yes sir, Yes sir? – I Pay my Tithe!

And God said: No Problem; I will give you just one (1) Idea.

I want you to begin to roast Peanut.

But when you are roasting your own Peanut; add Honey.

Nobody did it before him – He could have asked God: Honey with Peanut?

Some years later; when the President of America was being Sworn-In and they had a Party for the President – It was the roasted Peanut of this Man that they served there.

By the Last Time that I heard about him; he already has two (2) Private Jets.

… Just one (1) Idea.

2. Oh, you say that is far off – I know one (1) Young Man; you have heard me say this before.

He had his Qualifications but couldn’t get a Job.

And God gave him an Idea – This boy was s very “Good Cook”.

So, he put some money together, got one little corner on the Street of Lagos and began to roast Akara (Beans Cake).

Out of curiosity, People will stop and say: What is going on here?

They will buy the Akara (Beans Cake) and say this is serious and they began to tell their friends.

From the money he made – He bought one (1) Motorcycle. After sometimes, he bought the Second (2nd) Motorcycle.

The fellow who has no Job become an Employer of Labours!

I can tell you other Stories of People who choose to make God their Partners and they get “Divine Inspirations” that turned them to something entirely different.

Consider Jacob before I begin to round up.

When Jacob came to Egypt in Genesis 46: 26-27; the Bible says: He came to Egypt with seventy (70) Souls including the children of Joseph that were already there.

By the time he left Egypt – He was Lockdown in Egypt for quite a while.

By the time his children left Egypt; in Exodus 12:37; there were six hundred thousand (600,000) Men – Nothing counting Women and Children.

I don’t know how Great you are now? – But you can become a Nation – Amen.

God can Multiply you so Mightily that the world will say: We have never seen this kind before!

However, I need to warn you before you say: Alright I understand – I will make God my Partner.

You need to understand that if you make God your Partner; He will not be a “Junior Partner” – He will be your “Senior Partner”.

If you allow Him to step into your Boat; He will become the CEO (Chief Executive Officer).

… If you don’t believed me: Ask Peter in Luke 5: 1-11.

You allow Him to step into your Boat; not only will He Prospered you to such an extent that you will be frightened; He will move you to a Higher Ground!

I will close with just one (1) Story that you have heard before:

Several Years ago; I was visiting America; attending a Conference.

And on the Particular Night in the Conference that the Organisers want to raise money.

And before they started; there was this Young Man who called his wife forward and they went to the Altar and he asked the Organisers to give him Permission to speak.

And he announced to us and said: Brethren, Please I want you to do something today.

There are about seventeen thousand (17,000) of us there.

I want you to give generously and the reason is because whatever all of you give that is what my wife and I will give.

And we said: What are you saying?

He said: I will Match everything you give Dollar for Dollar.

And we all said that this Man is finished.

Those who don’t want to give before now said we will give to make sure we get him into trouble.

God have Mercy on Christians – Amen!

Seventeen Thousand (17,000) People gave beyond their “Normal Giving Ability”.

At the end, he says we should Please wait because he wanted the whole money counted.

They counted it and they counted Three Million, Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($3,500,000).

We said that: You are in trouble now!

He took the Microphone and said: Brethren, is this all you can do?

So, I said this Man must know something that I don’t know!

At the end of the Program, I made sure that I cornered him: Sir, what is your Secret?

And he said: Five (5) Years ago; I started a Business with Five Hundred Dollars ($500) and I said to God: You will be my “Senior Partner” – I will not insult You with ten Percent (10%). I will take ten Percent (10%); You will take Ninety Percent (90%).

.. But it is up to You – it is Your Business!

He said that Last Year, my Company made a Turnover of Fifty Million Dollars ($50,000,000).

… He said that I know what I’m doing!

I said Thank You very much – I don’t need to say more than that!

BECAUSE SOME OF YOU SEE THE GLORY, WE DON’T KNOW THE STORY!

Some People see how the Almighty God has been Gracious to me and they like to open their mouth and say all kinds of things.

… It is none of my Business. I don’t need to answer you!

I just need to be riding High with my King!

I’m talking to my children o. So, others should not be angry with me.

SO, BEFORE YOU TAKE OFF, CONSIDER YOUR LANDING – WHO WILL BE YOUR PARTNER?

ALTAR CALL

Like I said; if you want to invite Him into your Business; He will not be your “Junior Partner” – He will be your “Senior Partner”. As soon as He comes in; He will take over!

Those of you who has not even surrendered your Life to Him; before you ask Him to come and be your “Senior Partner”; you better surrender to Him now.

When you called on Him to be your Lord and Saviour, He won’t be Lord at all unless He will be the Lord of All.

If you say: Save my Soul, take over my Life – He will take over everything.

You will be coming under an entirely New Management; His Words will become your Law and whatever He says; you must begin to do it.

So, think deeply before you say: Lord I surrender to You!

Let me assure you: You surrender to Him; you will never regret it!

So, those of you who are Listening to me or reading now on the Label of DMC and you want to surrender your Lives to Jesus Christ; Please go ahead and call on Him now.

And say: Please Lord, Come and be my Lord; Come and be my Saviour – I agree to serve you for the rest of my Life.

And the rest of us; let us intercede for these People for just one (1) minute – That the Almighty God will receive them; He will save their Souls and bring them into the Family of God and give them a New Beginning.

Intercede for them for one (1) minute and then call on the Almighty God for yourself and say: Father, I surrender All – Be my “Senior Partner”; Control everything that I shall do from now (Every Project, every Business).

Everything that I shall do from now; be my “Senior Partner”.

Thank You Father.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

PRAYER FOR SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER.

My Father and my God; I want to Thank You once again for Your Words and I want to Thank You for all Your Children who have heard the Words and have made up their minds concerning You.

I’m asking that for those who are just surrendering their Lives to You today; that You will Please receive them; Save their Souls; Let Your Blood wash away their sins; be the Lord of All in their Lives; give them a Brand New Beginning.

And Please Lord God Almighty; as many that will say: Lord be my “Senior Partner”; within a Year – Embarrass them with Your Blessings.

And I Pray Lord that the Higher they go; let them be drawn closer to You.

In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

PRAISE THE LORD – HALLELUJAH!!!
