At this point in time we want to listen to The Visioner himself – Pastor E.A Adeboye. (The Principal of the School of Disciples and Our Father-In-The-Lord).
And while he is coming in, we shall be singing the Disciple’s Anthem (RCCG School of Disciple’s Anthem).
THE RCCG SCHOOL OF DISCIPLES (SOD) ANTHEM
The School of Disciples (SOD) School Anthem which was composed by Pastor E.A Adeboye in 1985 is to be sung at School of Disciples (SOD) gatherings only. It is not to be used during other occasions even if these are General Christian Gatherings such as your Parish Sunday worship.

Ancient of days we love You!
We appreciate You Lord of Host – The One Who has chosen us even from the Foundations of the world to be His Disciples.
Blessed be Your Name forever, in Jesus’ Name!
Your Word made it clear that whatever may be happening, God will have His remnant. Thank You that we are Part of the remnant.
Thank You because by Your Grace, we will remain Solid and Stable forever.
Please, accept our Thanks in Jesus’ Name!
During this Year’s Convention – Part of which will be Virtual, Part of which will be Physical; we asked Lord God Almighty, that You will reach out to all Your Disciples and revive us all.
Remind us that the End is near; that our King is coming soon.
And when He Returns, Father we Pray that He will not meet any of us Sleeping.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Well, the few Disciples that are here Physically, let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
And those of you who are listening to us all over the world and/or reading now on the Label of DMC, I wish you too shout your own Hallelujah there – Hallelujah!
… I am sure God will hear you – Amen!

We want to talk for a few minutes on the Theme of the Convention this Year – And that is: PERFECT BLESSINGS.
Our Bible Text will be taking from – Matthew 13:10-17:
10 And the Disciples came, and said unto Him, Why speakest thou unto them in Parables?
11 He answered and said unto them, Because it is given unto you to know the Mysteries of the Kingdom of Heaven, but to them it is not given.
12 For whosoever hath, to him shall be given, and he shall have more Abundance: but whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken away even that he hath.
13 Therefore speak I to them in Parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the Prophecy of Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not Perceive:
15 For this People’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
16 But blessed are your eyes, for they see: and your ears, for they hear.
17 For verily I say unto you, That many Prophets and Righteous Men have desired to see those things which ye see, and have not seen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, and have not heard them.
We are talking about PERFECT BLESSINGS.
There are all manners of Blessings that the Almighty God can release on People.
But the Perfect One – The One that is Complete and Absolute; is reserved for the Disciples alone.
He said, the others may hear, but they may not Understand. The others may see and not Perceive. But for you (as a Disciple of Jesus Christ): You have eyes, you can see; you have ears, you can hear.
He could talk in Parables to others; but to you, He will speak Plainly.
.. You are Blessed – Amen!
Disciples are not just Free – John 8:32: “You shall know the Truth and the Truth shall make you free.”
… But they are Free Indeed – John 8:36
There is a difference between being free and being free Indeed.
In 1960, Nigeria became Independent:
I. We were free from our Colonial Masters.
II. We were free from those who came from Abroad and took over our land and had dominion over us;
III. We were free from those who, at the beginning; if they want to travel, they will get a chair, put some rods in the chair, and get four (4) strong men to carry them: Uphill, Downhill, Day or Night
We were free from our Colonial Masters, but we were not free from ourselves – We merely exchanged one Master for another.
… And the New Master; Lord have Mercy!
We have been free for sixty one (61) Years, but we are not Free Indeed!
Not long ago, I was talking to some of my children and I told them of a time in this Lagos (A State in the Federal Republic of Nigeria); when we will finish the Vigil at Ebute-metta (The National Headquarters of RCCG located in Lagos Nigeria) around 2am. And I will drive home to my house in Surulere (Another City in Lagos State Nigeria).
And I will see some People sitting by the Bar; enjoying their bottle of beer.
… No Problem – Peace.
I told them of a time when a thief wants to check whether you are asleep or not; they want to find out whether they can break in quietly, they knock at your door first. And if you hear them knocking and you say: ‘Who is there?’ – You hear them running away!
They asked me and said ‘how long ago was that?’ Was that in Nigeria?
… We were Free, but we are not Free Indeed!
… Now, even if you are a Governor, you are afraid to travel alone.
But by the Special Grace of God, because there are Disciples, because there will always be a remnant who can Pray, who can hold on to God; we shall be Free Indeed – Amen!
- According to Luke 10:17, The devils are to be Subject to the Disciples.
- According to Mark 16:17, we (The Disciples) are to cast them (Devil) out, not fear them.
By the Special Grace of God, as a Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, you shall be Free Indeed – Amen.
- More than that; according to Mark 10:28-30, the Disciples are not only to be rewarded here, they are to be rewarded in the life to come.
- According to Matthew 19:28, we are going to sit with Jesus Christ on His Throne.
… I will see you there in Jesus’ Name Amen
- According to Ephesians 1:19-23, we are to sit Far Above Principalities and Power.
… Far Above!
- We have Mansions reserved for us in Heaven.
… Your house might not be the biggest house in this world. But I can assure you: As a True Disciple of the Lord Jesus Christ, your house in Heaven is going to be a “BIG ONE” – Amen!
Jesus Himself said so in John 14:1-3.
I am saying all these so that you would understand that the Blessings available to the Disciple is a Tremendous one.
And so you can imagine the loss of Judas Iscariot in Acts 1:15-20 – He was a Disciple, but he lost his Position.
He sat down and thought about all the Blessings that were where he is before; and the only way he could handle the Agony of his loss was to hang himself!
I Pray for those of you who are Disciples – You that is listening to me wherever you are now or reading now on the Label of DMC; that nothing will take you away from the Lord Jesus Christ – Amen.
You can imagine the Blessings of Apostle Paul, who started as the Chief of Sinners – 1 Timothy 1:15. But he ended up as a chief Apostle – 2 Corinthians 1:5.
What Judas Iscariot lost, Paul the Apostle regained.
I Pray for you who are here today and those of you are listening to me and/or reading now on the Label of DMC that: That Perfect Blessing that God has reserved for His Disciples, nobody will take your own from you – Amen.
When Paul took the Place of Judas Iscariot, and realised what that unfortunate Fellow lost; he said in Philippians 3:7-11 – He said: “I am happy to lose all in order to win Christ. If I can only win Christ, my Blessing is full.”
I have a Little Advice for you Disciples; and that little advice is in Revelations 3:11 – And that is: “HOLD FAST that which you have, let no man take your Crown.”
It has Pleased the Almighty God not only to save your Soul; it has Pleased the Almighty God to take you to the School of Disciples (SOD) if you have finished.
Or at least, it has Pleased Him to bring you into the School of Disciples (SOD) if you just enrolled now.
Among the Blessings waiting for you is a Crown of Glory.
But we are at the End Times: Hold Fast that which you have, let no man take your Crown.
In my little sojourn in this world, in this my little time of walking with Jesus Christ; I have seen Disciples who were HOT for the Lord; who became lukewarm and they are now Cold.
I. I see some of them now, I weep!
II. I see some of them and my heart is troubled.
I remembered those days when the Redemption camp ended with Holiness Road – We were so small then.
I remembered those days when at night, when the Moon is on; a few of us will be walking this Campground at Night – Singing, Praying and Worshipping God. Interceding, Fasting more than we ate!
But I see some of those my colleagues then today and I wondered: ‘What happened?’
How come a Disciple of Jesus Christ who deliberately chose to come to the Jungle so that we will have time, we would not be troubled by anybody, we can sing, we can shout!
If anybody should come to us and say: Why are you making a noise? We will say, what are you doing in the Jungle?
Now, they don’t even Fast anymore, they can’t even shout Hallelujah.
Beloved Disciples – No Blessing is Perfect if you are separated from Christ.
All over the world today there are Doctrines, Subtle attacks of the Enemies, trying to weaken you; trying to lure you away from the One you choose to follow.
… Telling you: Yes, you are a Christian, but you can do what you like!
The One Who is our Commander-in-chief suffered and left us an example, that we should follow in His Steps.
I taught you in the School of Disciples (SOD), that we are to follow Him regimentally – We watch Him Step-by-Step and follow Him Step-by-Step.
Paul said: “I suffer the lost of all things but I count them as dung that I may win Christ.”
During this Convention, you the Disciples, your Major Prayer is that: I may never lose Christ.
The Greatest Blessing you can ever have is to win Christ and to hold on to Him till the very End.
I wish that during your Convention, that our time is not so brief a Period like this – Maybe in the future somehow (I don’t know how we will get it done); maybe one way or the other, all Disciples will come together – Arrive on Thursday, spend the Whole Night Praying, before they get ready for whatever they are going to do on Friday.
And then the Holy Ghost Night – Thank God, the Holy Ghost Service!
But the Holy Ghost Service is an Outreach to bring in the crowd, to get Souls save, get the Sick healed, advertise Jesus, etc.
The School of Disciples (SOD) is to put Strength in your bones, make you Strong – So that even if the whole Christiandom is falling away, you will be able to Stand.
Remember the Lord turned to Peter and Co – When all those who were following Him for Bread deserted Him.
He turned to the Disciples and said: Will you too go away?
Remember what Peter said? – “To whom shall we go? We already have You.”
I want to encourage you my beloved children, during this your Convention (RCCG SOD CONVENTION 2021); it doesn’t matter how few you are here physically; there are hundreds of thousands all over the world – Some of them might be listening to me right now or reading now on the label of DMC; we have reached that Stage in our Journey; you need to hold fast to your Crown, so that nobody will take away your Crown.
I will leave you now; give you an opportunity to cry to the Almighty God: Thanking Him for making you His Disciples.
And I Pray that He will give you the Grace to Faithfully follow till the End; so that you don’t lose your Crown – Amen.
