BIBLE TEXT: ACTS 6: 1-8
Let us Pray Please!
OPENING PRAYER
Father, we want to say Thank You sir:
Thank You sir for what You are doing for us,
Thank You sir for what You are doing through us,
We know that we can do absolutely nothing without You,
Father, Please accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
My Lord, bless us through Your Words this Morning,
At the end take all the Glory.
Lord, I Pray that You will empower everyone of us and through this Empowerment, we shall have better Stories to tell.
Thank You Father!
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
I will like to salute all our Daddies and all our Mummies.
All my Seniors in the house, I salute you all in the Name of Jesus.
I Pray that you will never have a better Yesterday, your tomorrow will be better and not bitter in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
The Lord will make you a Voice and not a Echo in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
I am asked to speak on: “FIRE BRAND DISCIPLES”.
☆ These are Disciples living a Spirit-Filled Life and Spirit-Led Life.
☆ They are Shinning Stars.
☆ While other Disciples watch things happen, the Fire Brand Disciples makes things happen.
☆ Running down the father’s of Faith or trying ti Outshine them doesn’t make one a Fire Brand Disciple.
☆ Speaking Big Grammars or quoting Scriptures offhand doesn’t make one a Fire Brand Disciple.
☆ Being an Orator doesn’t make one a Fire Brand Disciple.
As a matter of fact, Wise Men speaks because they have something to say but Fools speaks because they have to say something.
☆ While some Disciples are tired and they are retiring; the Fire Brand Disciples are refiring.
May God make you a Fire Brand Disciple in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
I will like to focus on Acts 6: 1-8 – And I Pray that through this Passage, God will bless everyone of us in Jesus Name – Amen.
Acts 6:1-8:
- And in those days, when the number of the Disciples was multiplied, there arose a murmuring of the Grecians against the Hebrews, because their widows were neglected in the daily ministration.
- Then the twelve called the multitude of the Disciples unto them, and said, It is not reason that we should leave the word of God, and serve tables.
- Wherefore, Brethren, look ye out among you seven men of honest report, full of the Holy Ghost and wisdom, whom we may appoint over this business.
- But we will give ourselves continually to Prayer, and to the ministry of the word.
- And the saying pleased the whole multitude: and they chose Stephen, a man full of faith and of the Holy Ghost, and Philip, and Prochorus, and Nicanor, and Timon, and Parmenas, and Nicolas a Proselyte of Antioch:
- Whom they set before the Apostles: and when they had Prayed, they laid their hands on them.
- And the word of God increased; and the number of the Disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the Faith.
- And Stephen, full of Faith and Power, did great wonders and Miracles among the People.
There was an Internal conflict in the Early Church.
The cause of the conflict was that some Widows were neglected in the daily distribution of food.
Recognising the seriousness of the situation, the twelve (12) Disciples needed to act decisively and so they called all the Disciples to what I called the first ever General Conference.
The Apostles Proposed to delegate the distribution of foods to seven (7) Men chosen by the Disciples so that they could focus on Prayers and the Ministry of the Word.
The criteria for selecting or appointing those seven (7) Men were stated in Acts 6:3:
- They must be Men of Honest Report.
Brethren, whosoever you come across in Life, if he is not a blessing to you; he must be a Lesson to you.
☆ Therefore, let us learn from the Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
☆ Let us learn from the Achievements of others.
☆ Let us learn from the mistakes of others.
I. What can People say about you as a Child of God or as a Disciple where you are living, you are working and even in the Church?
II. Are you Born Again? That’s the Language.
Don’t forget that you are a “Moving Bible” – People may not have the time to open their Bibles to read, but they will read you.
III. What kind of Report will People write about you?
IV. What can People say about you?
… They choose Men of Honest Report!
- They must be full of the Holy Spirit.
- They must be full of Wisdom.
- They were chosen to work and to serve.
A Committee without Commitment will commit Crime.
We are to serve irrespective of your Position.
They were not chosen based of Title but they were chosen based on the Mantle that they carried.
They were called Deacon/Deaconess and not Regional or Intercontinental Evangelist or any big Title.
There was not amendment to the Proposal – The Disciples simply depended on the leading of the Holy Spirit through the Apostles.
Of the seven (7) chosen Disciples was Stephen.
Remember that many are called but few are chosen.
- Stephen was chosen based on his Attributes and Qualities.
Can they choose you?
You fight, you quarrel et cetera et cetera.
What are the things Unbelievers are doing that we are doing?
And then you come out tomorrow to say that “I am not a Sinner”?
Are you sure?
If we ask Sinners to stand up, you will not stand up.
☆ But you know the number of People you don’t greet in the Church.
☆ Forgiving Spirit, you don’t have it.
Unfortunately, People come to you for Prayers – No wonder the Prayers had been going to the Voicemail.
When we were in Ebute Metta of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), there was no Single case of Cancer. But today, Cancer is the order of the day.
Where is that Fire?
People can come into the Church and steal, and nothing will happen to them – It is a Shame!
What is happening? What are you carrying?
I will show you what many of us are carrying.
A Man used to hold a Program on Sunday – He will say: “Awon eni epe ti ki se eni epe” (God didn’t call them, they called themselves).
Were you called by God?
I am sorry to be sounding like this but the truth must be said because it is that truth that will make us free.
Many of us need to be Born Again – We are not where God wants us to be at all.
Telling us to win five (5) Souls Per Year is just a Test of Faith – How can you win five (5) Souls Per Year?
What are you doing as a Disciple? And you cannot win even ten thousand (10,000) Souls Per Year?
Don’t tell that it is not Possible.
What made you a Disciple if you cannot serve?
The truth must be said sir/ma – I am sorry to sound this way.
Stephen was chosen – That was one of his Qualities.
- He was full of the Holy Spirit.
Many People carry “Olive Oil” Anointing but Stephen like David carry “Holy Oil” Anointing.
There is a difference between “Olive Oil” Anointing and “Holy Oil” Anointing.
Psalm 89:20, the Bible says that I have found David my servant, with my “Holy Oil” have I anointed him.
What do you carry?
- Stephen was full of Faith and Empowered.
No wonder he was able to do Great works Great Wonders and Miracles among the People – Acts 6:8 is my Witness.
He couldn’t have done it with “Carnal Power” but because he was full of Faith and Power, he was able to do Exploits.
- Stephen was full of Wisdom.
Psalm 111:10, the Bible says that: “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of Wisdom”.
Many of us have lost it – We don’t fear God again.
Acts 6:10, People who were disputing with Stephen were not able to resist the Wisdom and Spirit by which he spoke.
It is not enough to come to Church and you call yourself a Disciple – Show the Evidence!
Where two (2) or three (3) People are gathered, the Presence of the Lord was there (DMC NOTES: Matthew 18:20).
And we Pray and the Prayer go to the Voicemail and you are blaming the devil?
Now we are imitating some People that Pray 140 Prayer Points – What are they Praying?
Have you forgotten that what God has finished can no longer finish you?
Some Prayer Points are just Spiritual Exercise – Fall down and die.
Who is dying? What is dying?
Is it the Spirit of Poverty that is dying or the Spirit of Failure?
There is an Appointed Time for them to die and not now.
You are stepping on Satan everywhere and he is still going about stealing, killing and yet he is still succeeding.
He will fail over you and your Family Members in Jesus Name – Amen!
Wake Up? If you don’t arise, you can’t arrive – Enough is Enough.
I was Ministering to a King and one “Ogboni Man” (DMC NOTES: “Ogboni is the name of a Fraternity Cult Group in Nigeria) was there and the moment he got in; the King wants to change his Mind.
I said sir, as I was saying and the Man interrupted.
And I was Provoked and I said sir, I respected you because you are an Elderly Man and not because of your Position in that Kingdom. And if you don’t believe me, let us bet and see who will die before tomorrow Morning.
The Man couldn’t bet.
Sometimes, you have to be Aggressive when it comes to a matter like that – He bowed!
Wetin you carry? (DMC NOTES: Meaning: What do you carry?)
In the Kingdom of Darkness, they don’t mention the Name of Jesus.
Why then do we Celebrate Satan in the Church? Mentioning all the names of the demons when you have the names of Jesus?
They will just be happy that you are Celebrating them in your Churches.
I learnt from Daddy GO that when you Worship and Praise God, Miracles will happen – Not by calling the names of demons or whatever.
What business do you have with the Kingdom of Darkness?
One name is enough to destroy one million years of Preparation in the Kingdom of Darkness,
If you know that Name, shout it – JESUS!!!
Have you forgotten that you can do all things through Christ?
King Saul told David: This Goliath has been a Man of War from his Youth but you are a little boy and so you can’t fight him – He said that I can.
When Goliath saw David, the Bible says that he despised him and looked down on him and said that: Am I a dog that you come to me with a staff?
And David answered him: You come to me with weapons of war but I come to you in the Name of the Lord of Host.
And he said that today, God is going to deliver you into my hands.
And before you know it, Goliath was down.
Wetin you carry? (What do you carry?)
To be Fire Brand Disciple, you must be filled with the Holy Spirit – You don’t need to pay money!
Ephesians 5:18 says: And be not drunk with wine wherein in excess but be filled with the Spirit.
Why? No empty sac can stand upright.
Brethren, it is when you are loaded that you are needed.
You must be filled with the Holy Spirit.
Sister Dorcas died we were told in Acts Chapter 9 but they refused to bury her. Peter then was in Joppa and they sent for him.
When Peter got there, with little efforts the Lord used him to bring back Sister Dorcas.
Wetin you carry? (What did you carry?)
Don’t be satisfied with Title; go for the Mantle.
Sometimes you have to say No to Revenue but go for Revelation.
Haven’t been made a King, you don’t need to Prepare a “Lucky Charm” – What else do you want to become?
Forget about Grade but go for Grace.
You must be filled with the Holy Ghost Power.
Why? Mummy Hannah said in 1 Samuel 2:9 – She said that for by Strength shall no Man Prevail.
Human Ability is not enough to make things happen.
Spiritually Speaking, Zechariah 4:6(b) says: Not by Might, not by Power but by my Spirit says the Lord of Host.
Many People desire houses, they desire Money, they desire Position and they acquired them – Glory be to God!
I told my People to aspire – If you don’t aspire, you will expire.
In my house, I gave them four (4) things:
- CHARACTER:
Nobody that ever lived with me had anything to do with Police Station and we don’t Steal.
And all the People living with me, we no dey Steal o (We don’t Steal o) – Nothing concern me with Church Money by the Grace of God till I will die.
And because I made up my Mind never to steal, that is what brought me to the Knowledge of Salvation because I should have Compromised where I am working but I said No. And they wanted to deal with me and I quickly ran to Christ and Surrendered my Life to Christ.
If I had taken the Bribe that day, I wouldn’t have known Christ and Christ wouldn’t have known me.
… Character is very important.
- You must Study Academically.
You may not noticed it now, but wherever you go, you must Study.
Everybody in my house started having MBA (Master in Business Administration) and because I was their Teacher, I went further to have a PhD
- You must know Christ.
You can’t live with me without being Born Again – Everyone must be Born Again.
- No Friends.
You are not paying any friend a visit and no friend must come to my house to pay you a visit.
You see: In Prosperity our friends knows us but in Adversity we know our friends.
Many People desire houses, they desire Money, they desire Positions and they acquired them. But unfortunately, not many People desire the Holy Ghost Power.
In God’s Vineyard, there are Vessels and there are Disciples:
☆ Some of them are full
☆ Some of them are half loaded
☆ While some of them are Empty.
Nobody likes to be referred to as Empty Vessels.
Frankly speaking, many Disciples are empty Spiritually.
Today, God will fill you – Amen.
God will refill you – Amen.
God will overfill you – Amen.
With the Power of the Holy Ghost.
☆ This Power can work for you,
☆ This Power can work through you,
☆ This Power can work in you,
☆ And then it can work against your Enemies.
Somebody said: If I be a Man of God, let Fire come down. And fire descended immediately and work against his Enemies.
If they don’t see Signs and Wondees, they won’t believe.
Now, who needs the Power of the Holy Ghost?
Is there anyone here who needs the Power? The DMC Family Members!
To enable you to function and do Exploits for God, don’t be satisfied with how you are today.
I always tell People: Don’t write your Conclusion yet because your Present Location is not going to be your Final Destination.
Aspire, move – If you don’t move, you will be removed.
Move – If you are not current, you can’t be correct.
Who needs the Power of the Holy Ghost?
- People who are empty Spiritually – They need that Power.
So if you are empty, you have the Grace this Money to ask for Power.
- People who are not full yet and they want to be loaded.
- People who want an Overflow.
Trust God, He can make your cup run over.
David said in Psalm 23:5(b): He said that: Thou anointed my Head with Oil my cup runneth over.
- People who want to do Exploits, they are Fire Brand Disciples.
Before the Disciples receive the Power on the Day of Pentecost:
- They were together in the Right Place.
They were in one Place that I called “The Right Place”.
Brethren, whether you want to believe it or not; your Location sometimes determines your Allocation.
Therefore stay where God can locate you.
I Thank God today that you are in the Right Place.
And whether you believed it or not, this Place where you are: “Iyanu” (Miracle) will “sele” (Happen).
- The Disciples were Divinely connected.
Your Connection can determine your Collection.
In other words:
☆ Who you know can determine what you will get.
☆ And who you follow determines what follows you,
What do you know?
☆ Someone said that you may not know “Obasanjo” but you know “Arugbo Ojo” (DMC NOTES: “Arugbo Ojo” means “The Ancient of Days”).
☆ He says that you may not know “Atiku” but you know “Oba Aiku” (DMC NOTES: “Oba Aiku” means “The King who never dies”).
- They were in one Accord.
☆ There was no Racial Discrimination.
☆ There was no Class Distinction.
☆ There is nothing like “Little You” and “Big I”.
Daddy and Mummy, this is the Problem in the Church today.
An offence between you and your Neighbour will create a fence between you and God.
Someone said: Weak People revenge; some People forgive but Intelligent People ignore.
You don’t need to fight with Someone who has nothing to loose.
I Thank God for Elisha – That Man was focused.
He started the Journey from Gilgal with his Master Elijah to Bethel. From Bethel to Jericho and from Jericho to Jordan.
At every Bus Stop, the Sons of the Prophet met him and they wanted him to stop but the Man remained Unstoppable – He was focused.
Don’t you know that your Master will be taken away from you today?
He said that I know – Mind your own business and he kept on moving.
Brethren, he kept on moving until he made it to Jordan.
The Mantle that he got in Jordan, he couldn’t have gotten it if he didn’t make it to Jordan.
So to Elisha, Jordan was a Place of Reward.
He never got the Mantle in Gilgal, in Bethel or in Jericho; but it was when he got to Jordan that he got the Mantle.
I decree in the Name of Jesus: All of you listening to me right now or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC; you will make it to your Jordan – Amen.
- The Disciples were Expectant.
I want to believe that it is not over yet.
By the time that Mummy GO comes in – It could be through the Opening Prayer or through the Sermon or the Conclusion; that you suddenly discovered that you are no longer the same again.
Is it Possible today? Yes sir.
- They were Available.
Availability can Provoke Ability.
Luke 9: 1-2, one day Jesus Christ called the Disciples (Apostles) together – It means that they were Available.
And because they are available, He gave them responsibilities to go out there and Preach the Gospel and to heal the Sick.
Before they left He gave them Power and Authority.
Availability before Responsibilities, before Ability.
Sir/Ma, it is responsibility that determines Ability.
You want God to give you a Bungalow as a responsibility, then you will not need an Elevator because you don’t need it.
But if you tell God that I need this Mountain as a responsibility; He will Provide the Elevator.
I told God that I needed “Big Cars” – Maybe you don’t like it because you are “Too Holy”.
Why? Because I visit some People – The High and the Mighty to Preach to them.
They say: Dress the way you want to be Addressed.
They want to look at you first before they listen to you.
And God started answering.
I went to one “Very Mighty” – The High and the Mighty and we were there. I Parked somewhere that they put “No Parking” .
But when they saw “The Machine” that we took there, the Chairman of the Bank welcome me and ask my Driver to remain there where they put “No Parking”.
So when you want to Pray, you better Pray Right and forget about mentioning demons or whatever.
These days I just pity People who don’t know certain things – You know that Knowledge is Power: Witches or Wizards from my father and mother side.
Where are they? Do you think that they have time for you?
When last do you see Sacrifice on the Junction?
Food is now very costly o.
In those days, Witches and Wizards are bringing food to you in the Dream, when last did they bring food to you now that food items are very costly in your Dreams?
They don’t have time for you.
Many of them are even repenting.
I will tell you this Testimony before we Pray – And that thing reset my Brain because I didn’t know my Identity until this thing happened
One woman came to me and brought her daughter of around 12 years old.
And she said: Sir, I need Prayers – I used to be times three (3) of this size but my daughter is responsible for my Problem.
How? She said that her daughter was the one suckng her blood.
I didn’t believed her and so we went to the back of the Church (Children Church) and I took an elderly Pastor along.
So the mother sat by my right side, I was in the middle, the daughter was on my left side and the elderly Pastor sat after the girl.
So I laughed when the woman said what she said and she said that it was not a laughing matter and that I should ask her.
And I turned to the girl and I said: My daughter, do you hear what your mother said and she said yes.
Is it true? She said yes and that it was her Grandmother (Her mum’s mother) that gave her the Assignment to suck the blood of her mother.
I said that do you know what you are talking? She said yes.
So I rolled up my Sleeves – I gave her my hand and said that: Can you suck my blood?
Brethen, she made a Statement and I learnt from her – She started laughing.
Immediately she said yes and she was the one sucking her mother’s blood; the elderly Pastor shifted his chair.
I asked her to suck my blood and she said No.
I said why? She said can’t you see fire on your Head?
Brethren, I learnt something from a 12 years old girl.
I said: What do you mean that can’t I see the fire?
She started laughing again as she thought I was joking.
Many eyes look but few eyes see.
I said Please what do you mean? She said look at it – Fire!
She said that we have been warned that anyone who carries Fire or Blood on their forehead is untouchable.
So I asked her: Am I untouchable? She said yes, look at the fire.
We left the Subject and I wanted to know more
☆ So if that Fire is not there, God will put it this Morning – Amen.
☆ If it is not enough, God will add to it this Morning – Amen.
An Oodua People’s Congress (OPC) Man touched a Man and the Man fell.
So the Landlord gathered and they called me: Pastor, come as there is something here.
So when I got there, I asked the OPC Man what happened?
He said that the boy has been disturbing us on this Street, coming in very late and we want to show him that Power passes Power.
So I begged the Man and said you know what; just help me do it so that he will come up.
He said that we know you now? Are you not Pastor Kalejaiye? I said yes I am.
He said that you can do it – I said do what?
He said that you can raise him – I said Amen but help me do it.
And he bent down and touched the Man and the Man came back to Life.
And the Man rose up and said: Where is the Man? I will kill him.
I said that you are already a dead Man before I got here.
Now, why should the Man say that we know you? What did he see? Fire!!!
That fire, you will be a Carrier of that fire from this moment onwards in the Name of Jesus – Amen
Shall we Please rise!
GENERAL PRAYERS
- You want to say: Father, I Thank You for everything that You have done for me and for everything You have done through me.
Please take all the Glory in the Name of Jesus.
Let Gratitude be your Attitude.
In Jesus Name we have Prayed – Amen.
- You will say: Father, Plesse let Your Fire fall and Purify me and make me a Shinning Star.
Go ahead and Pray in the Name of Jesus.
So shall it be in Jesus Name – Amen.
- You will say: Father, Please empower me.
Empower me Spiritually, Financially, Physically in the Name of Jesus.
Thank You Father!
In Jesus Name we have Prayed – Amen.

CLOSING PRAYER
Father Almigthy, I Thank You for this Privilege.
I Thank You for the Wonderful Things that You have been doing in this School of Disciples (SOD) among Your Children.
What You have been doing for them and what You have been doing through them.
Father, we say a very Big Thank You sir.
I Pray that You will fill every vacuums in our lives.
You will help us dot our I’s and cross our T’s in the Name of Jesus.
I Pray for you Daddies and Mummies; my Brothers and Sisters, whatever the Enemies are Planning against you, they will carry their evil loads in the Name of Jesus.
The Lord will fill you and over fill you in the Name of Jesus.
Every Good Things you desire, you will acquire in the Name of Jesus.
I cover all of you with the Fire of the Holy Spirit:
No Evil Hands will touch you.
No Evil Eyes will see you
In the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Thank You Father for Answered Prayers.
