OPENING PRAYER
Dear Heavenly Father, I stand on Psalm 23 that You are my Shepherd, I lack nothing.
You make me lie down in a Green Pasture.
You lead me beside the Still Waters,
You restore my Soul.
Even though I walk in the Valley of the Shadow of Death, I fear no evil.
For Your rod and staff comfort me.
You Prepare a Table in the Presence of my enemies.
You anointed my head, and my cup runs over.
Surely, Your Goodness and Mercy follow me and everyone in this room, including those reading now on the Label of DMC, all the days of our lives.
Father, as I speak to Your People, God, I ask that You’ll speak through me in the Name of Jesus.
I ask that lives shall be Transformed in the Name of Jesus.
I ask that we are not Permitted to leave here the same way we came, in the Name of Jesus.
Thank You Father, because I know You have heard me.
For in Jesus’ Name we have Prayed – Amen.
I just want to use this rare opportunity to thank our father-in-the-Lord, and our Mother in Israel – Daddy and Mummy G.O.
I Pray that the Lord will continue to Strengthen you day by day, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
I also want to use this opportunity to say Daddy, Happy 84th Birthday.
I Pray your days will be Prolonged, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
I also want to thank our father, Daddy Odesola – The Continental Overseer.
Thank you so much Daddy,! God Bless You.
I Stand on all existing Protocols, and I salute our Fathers and Mothers in the House, including those reading now on the Label of DMC.
And I Pray that the Lord continues to increase you all, and Strengthen you all day by day, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Can you look at your Neighbour and tell him or her: “I have the Seal of Excellence.”
Hallelujah!
My Bible Text would be taken from Daniel 6:3.
And it says:
Then this Daniel distinguished himself above the Governors and satraps because an Excellent Spirit was in him; and the King gave thought to setting him over the whole realm.
WHAT IS EXCELLENCE?
- Excellence is the consistent Pursuit of the highest Quality of anything.
Excellence does not only meet expectations, it surpasses them.
In Ephesians 3:20 God speaking there says:
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us.
So here, God was advertising Excellence.
- Another Definition I have here is that: Excellence is not only being the Best, but being so good it cannot be improved.
For example, in a School that has various Students, you would have some Students who scored 40%, 20% 10% in their Examination.
You can as well say that the Student who scored 40% is the best Student.
But I’ll tell you that the Student who scored 40% is the best failing Student; because that Student did not meet the required mark of Excellence.
And so that takes me to my second definition which says that Excellence is not just being good, but being the Best, that it can not be improved.
Hallelujah!
You can be the Best in whatever Field you find yourself in; but you might not be Excellent in it.
… And so that brings me to another Point.
TWO (2) LEVELS OF EXCELLENCE
There are several Levels of Excellence man has to attend; but I am going to stay on Two(2):
- Relative Excellence.
The first Level of Excellence is Relative Excellence.
Tell Somebody: “Relative Excellence!”
Relative Excellence shows that one can be Excellent in a Particular Level and be ignorant or limited in another.
So you can be Excellent in a Particular Level, but be limited in another.
The status of a King anywhere in the world is always Excellent.
But if you look at Daniel 2:37-40, Daniel here was telling the King what God has to say:
Thou, O king, art a King of kings: for the God of Heaven hath given thee a Kingdom, Power, and Strength, and Glory. And wheresoever the children of men dwell, the beasts of the field and the fowls of the Heaven hath he given into thine hand, and hath made thee ruler over them all. Thou art this head of gold. And after thee shall arise another Kingdom inferior to thee, and another third Kingdom of brass, which shall bear rule over all the earth. And the fourth Kingdom shall be Strong as iron: forasmuch as iron breaketh in pieces and subdueth all things: and as iron that breaketh all these, shall it break in pieces and bruise.
This Scripture is exploring virtues which King Nebuchadnezzar had here on Earth.
So we can say he had Earthly Excellence.
But if you look at Daniel 2:6, this same King had a Limitation: But if ye shew the Dream, and the interpretation thereof, ye shall receive of me Gifts and rewards and great honour: therefore shew me the Dream, and the interpretation thereof.
He had a Dream and he could not interpret it.
In fact, he was ready to give Gifts to whoever could interpret the Dream.
But guess what?
Daniel, through the Mind of God, was able to interpret that Dream.
So you can see, according to Daniel 2:37-40, that King Nebuchadnezzar: Even though he had Earthly Excellence, he had a limitation in Divine Excellence.
Hallelujah!
This brings me to Daddy’s example.
Daddy G.O gave an example in one of his Teachings – He said, “You can be the Best in Primary School; if they take you to go sit for an Examination in the Higher Institution, the Excellence you Portrayed in Primary School is going to become Substandard to the Higher Institution.”
… And so, Excellence differs in Life.
Excellence that is not Upgraded becomes limited when the Standard rises.
But we serve a God that is Limitless!
I Pray in the Name of Jesus, that any form of limitation that has been holding you back from entering the Level of Excellence that God desires for you is broken, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Can you shout a Bigger Amen – Amen!
… This takes me to the second Level of Excellence which is:
- Absolute Excellence.
It means Complete, Total, Perfect.
Matthew 5:48 says: Be ye therefore Perfect, even as your Father which is in Heaven is Perfect.
You know, when I was Studying, and I found out about the Hebrew meaning of Perfect.
It means Complete and Wholeness.
Meaning that nothing can be added to it.
So when you say something is Perfect, it means there is no addition to it.
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
And that is why I said earlier, that Excellence is not only being the Best; but being so good it can not be improved.
You can as well now say, “Be ye Excellent as your Father is Excellent.”
Tell Somebody: “Be ye Excellent as your Father is Excellent.”
James 1:4 says, But let Patience have her Perfect work, that ye may be Perfect and entire, wanting nothing.
Excellence as Children of God, is that we are Complete and we lack nothing.
In you bring your Mobile Phone to the Place where you need to charge it; the moment the Phone gets to 100% what do you see? “Charging Complete.” Or “Fully charged.”
So, it means nothing can be added to the fullness of that Phone.
And that is how Christ see us; when we are Perfect – it means there is no addition to it.
Tell Somebody: “Be ye Perfect as your Father is Perfect.”
And example of Absolute Excellence is seen in Jesus Christ.
In Colossians 1:19, the Bible says: For it Pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell.
What you can see here is that Jesus has the fullness of Excellence, and there was no Place for any other thing.
In fact the Bible says in John 14:30, Hereafter I will not talk much with you: for the Prince of this world cometh, and hath nothing in me.
So, when you have Absolute Excellence, it means you are full of God.
Tell Somebody: “I am full of God!”
HOW TO ATTAIN ABSOLUTE EXCELLENCE
How do you enter into the Absolute Level of Excellence?
- Accepting Jesus into your Life.
The first step into entering Absolute Excellence is to Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ.
And He will distinguish you from your Peers.
Daniel 6:3 says, Then this Daniel was Preferred above the Presidents and Princes, because an Excellent Spirit was in him; and the King thought to set him over the whole realm.
So Daniel here, even in the midst of Excellent People, he was still Preferred as the most Excellent.
Tell Somebody: “I am the most Excellent!”
And so, an Excellent Spirit upon a man would put him in alignment with God – That was why Daniel was always aligned with God.
So, when you accept Jesus Christ, He puts you in alignment with God.
- Desire the Sincere Milk of the Word of God.
Take in the Milk of the Word of God.
As mothers, what do you give your baby to consistently grow? Milk!
So, the next step to attaining Absolute Excellence is that you’ll begin to desire the Sincere Milk of the Word of God.
1 Peter 2:2-3 says:
As Newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
As you begin to take the Sincere Milk of the Word of God, your appetite will begin to change.
You cannot give a Newborn Baby milk and when he gets to the Toddler Stage you still give him milk.
His appetite must change.
- Come up Hither.
In the next Stage, God desires that you no longer take milk. He tells you to come up thither.
Tell Somebody: “Come up thither!”
Hebrews 5:13-14 says, For every one that useth milk is unskilful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe. But strong meat belongeth to those that are of full age, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.
So, at this Level, God desires that you don’t just take milk; but that you begin to eat solid food.
- You stay in the Word.
- You grow in the Word.
- When He tells you to Pray, you Pray.
- When He tells you to Fast, you Fast.
That way, the Lord is Equipping and Strengthening you to eat solid food.
But guess what?
That is not even the Level of Excellence that God requires of you.
- Move from Glory to Glory.
The next step is the Glory to Glory Level.
Tell Somebody: “The Glory to Glory Level!”
We have Perfect examples here on Earth; Our Parents-in-the-Lord, Daddy and Mummy G.O – They are God’s Gifts to us. And they are examples of how to walk in the Glory Realm.
- There was a time in their lives, they started from Ebute-Meta.
- God moved them to the Redemption Camp.
- And from Redemption Camp it became the Redemption City.
That is moving from Glory to Glory!
And even at 84 years, our Daddy ‘Enoch’ Adeboye is still walking with God.
Can we Celebrate God?
And so this Level of Excellence is the Glory to Glory stage
2 Corinthians 3:18 says, But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the Glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from Glory to Glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.
When God speaks to our father-in-the-Lord, we hear him say, “My Daddy says there’s Someone here…”
That’s a man who is beholding God.
Can you Celebrate the Grace of God in the Life of Daddy G.O?
When you behold God, you become more and more like Him.
He rip you of things that are not of Him because you are beholding Him – You now desire Strong bones.
Tell Somebody: “I’m moving from Glory to Glory.”
Can I hear you say, “I’m moving from Glory to Glory?”
Daddy G.O also told us the Story of a man who was so brilliant; he was a History Genius – Infact, anything called History, that man knew it.
But then the wind blew for some reason, and he became mad.
But guess what?
A man who was once a Professor of History became an Ex-Champion.
I Pray that you will never be an Ex-Champion, in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Matthew 7:14-27 says: Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock. And every one that heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them not, shall be likened unto a foolish man, which built his house upon the sand: And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell: and great was the fall of it.
The only way to remain Excellent is to have your Foundation wholly rooted in God.
So that even when the rain comes; the flood comes, and the wind blows; your house will remain solid upon the Rock of Ages.
I end with this: If the Foundation of the righteous man is faulty, what can he do? (DMC NOTES: Psalm 11:3)
My father (of Blessed Memory) would say: “The Righteous should go back to his Foundation and rebuild it.”
I am here to tell you sons and daughters of God, when Daddy gives the Altar Call tonight: for you to Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ or to Re-dedicate your Life back to God.
I beg you, run to the front like your Life depends on it – Because your Life depends on it!
Please, if you can; can we Stand Up,
Do so now.
PRAYER
I want you to lift your hand and say: Father, help me by the Spirit of the Lord not to be Irrelevant in Life, but exude Your Excellence.
Go ahead and Pray with Fire in your bones!
Thank You Father, because we know that You have heard us.
