OPENING PRAYER
The God of Baba Akindayomi, the God of our Daddy, Pastor E.A Adeboye, the God that led the Children of Israel to Cross the Red Sea; the One who was with us in January, the One who was with us in February, the One who was with us in March and the One who has brought us to the Month of April.
The God who did not allow any of us to be in the Mortuary by this Time,
The God who has delivered us from Prison,
The God who healed us and fed us,
The God who has fought all our battles for us.
We give You all the Glory.
Today, we have come to say Thank You.
Father, we Pray that You will accept our Praises,
That You will bless us beyond measures.
We Thank You for what Today represents – The Resurrection of Your Son Jesus Christ.
Because He lives, we know that we are going to live.
We Pray Lord that in Your Heavenly Kingdom, we will reign with You.
In our midst Today, do only what You alone can do.
And take all the Glory Father.

He would have loved to be here Today Physically with us, but he couldn’t be here this Morning.
So, he is saying: “Happy Easter to everyone”.
I want to thank my father-in-the-Lord for the opportunity and the Privilege given to me this Morning.
I Pray that the Lord who has kept our Daddy and Mummy, will keep on keeping them – Amen.
I Pray that they will finish well and finish Strong – Amen.
I Pray that in this Heavenly Kingdom, they will have their Rewards in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.
I also want to greet all our Daddies and Mummies who are here.
I want to thank our Royal Fathers.
We thank God over your Labour of Love over all of us.

This Morning, we are going to Pray for all those who are Creative Arts Practitioners, all those who are Regulatory Authorities and those who are in the Support Services.
Please if you are in any of those areas, Please Stand Up so that we can Pray for all of you.
Please let us Stretch our hands and Pray for all of them:
I. Those who are in Creative Arts:
Pray that God will give them uncommon Visions and Skills.
And that their Talents will make way for them not only in Nigeria but Outside the Country in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
II. Let us Pray for those who are in the Regulatory Authorities:
Pray that God will Protect them because they need Protection in what some of them do.
Pray that God will give them:
☆ The Boldness to do what is right all the time.
☆ The Wisdom to come up with Laws that will move the Country forward.
III. Let us Pray for those who are in Support Services:
Pray that God will give them the Grace not to let those who depends on them down.
SPECIAL PRAYERS
Father, we commit Your Children into Your Hands and their families:
We Pray that You will visit them Specially Today in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
That You will Perfect all that concerns them.
We Pray Father that this Year will not only be a Profitable Year for them in their various Ventures and what they do but Father, the uncommon Wisdom to excel and to succeed in all their endeavours; grant unto them in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
At the end of this Year when they look back, they will see that God has been Good to them.
When others are saying that there is a Casting down; their Song will be that there is a Lifting Up for them.

Those of you who are Celebrating their Birthday in the Month of April, kindly Stand so that we can Pray together.
Father, we want to Thank You for all Your Children who are Celebrating their Birthday in the Month of April.
April is the forth (4th) Month of the Year – And it is two (2) times two (2).
Father, I Pray that You will Double the Blessings of Your Children in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Father, Please bless them from all the four (4) Corners of the Earth in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Bless them from the North
Bless them from the South
Bless them from the East,
Bless them from the West
Everywhere they go, they will find Favour with You and with Men.
When we hear concerning them, let it be Good News.

WHY IS THE EASTER SUNDAY SERVICE SO IMPORTANT IN CHRISTENDOM
Today, (Sunday, 5th April, 2026) is Easter Sunday!
In most Churches, they greet themselves by saying: “He is risen”,
And the response will be: “He is risen indeed”.
You know that the Easter Sunday Service is a very Special Service.
From Statistics all over the world; the Easter Sunday Service is the one that is most attended in over ninety Percent (90%) of Churches worldwide.
Usually, there are three (3) Services that are well attended and there are some People who comes to Church in just those three (3) Sundays:
☆ You know Easter Sunday; they will be in Church.
☆ Christmas Eve Service or Christmas Service is another one that is well attended.
☆ if you are in the United States of America (USA), the third Service that is most attended is the Mother’s Day Service.
But in Nigeria, we should look at the Cross Over Service because there are many People who wants to be in Church when the Clock reaches Midnight.
The Question is: Why is the Easter Sunday Service that important?
It is important because Easter Sunday is Part of the core of Christianity.
On Good Friday, Jesus Christ was Crucified and then a lot of People gave up Hope that it was all over.
But He (Jesus Christ) told them that on the Third Day, He will rise from the dead.
So on Easter Sunday, Jesus Christ rose from the dead!
Romans 10:9, the Bible says that: If you confess with your mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord and believe in your Heart that God raised Him from the dead; you will be saved.
So we Preach this all the time.
The Question to ask is: What if Jesus Christ did not rise from the dead?
You know, I love Paul the Apostle – A Lawyer; he wrote very well in 1 Corinthians 15: 14-19:
- And if Christ be not risen, then is our Preaching vain, and your Faith is also vain.
- Yea, and we are found False Witnesses of God; because we have Testified of God that he raised up Christ: whom he raised not up, if so be that the dead rise not.
- For if the dead rise not, then is not Christ raised:
- And if Christ be not raised, your Faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.
- Then they also which are fallen asleep in Christ are Perished.
- If in this Life only we have Hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.
So Easter Sunday touches the core of Christianity!
Paul was arguing here that if Christ was not risen from the dead, then what we are Preaching to you is False – There is no Hope after here.
But thank God that Christ rose from the dead.
☆ Thank God for Easter Sunday,
☆ Thank God that Light Prevailed over Darkness.
☆ Thank God that Good Prevailed over Evil.
☆ Thank God that Death was swallowed up in Victory.
And because Jesus Christ lives, we can face tomorrow!

This Morning, the Theme that I have been given is: “Vessels of Light”.

Father Lord, let the words of my mouth and the Meditation of my Heart Oh Lord be Acceptable in thy sight my Lord and my Redeemer.
I Pray with Thanksgiving in Jesus Mighty Name – Amen.
Once again, Good Morning and Welcome to Easter Sunday Service with the Theme: “Vessels of Light”.
We need to start by defining the meaning of Vessel.
A Vessel is a hollow Container, especially one that is used to hold liquid such as a bowl.
So, a bowl is a Container.
People also referred to a Ship or a large boat as a Container.
For those who are Scientists, you know in Anatomy; a canal holding blood flows through a Vessel.
But when we are talking about Vessels in the Bible, Vessels refers to a Person who has a Particular Quality or who is used for a Particular Purpose.
So for our Purpose this Morning, a Vessel is a Person who has a Particular Quality or who is used for a Particular Purpose; a Container of God’s Spirit, Grace or Purpose.
When we mentioned the word Light, we are generally referring to the General/Natural Agent that stimulates sight and makes things Possible. A Source of illumination.
So when we talk about Light in the Bible, we are talking about God’s Presence, Holiness, Truth and Salvation acting as a direct contrast to the darkness of sin and evil.
In 1 John 1:5-7; the Bible says:
- This then is the Message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is Light, and in him is no Darkness at all.
- If we say that we have Fellowship with him, and walk in Darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:
- But if we walk in the Light, as he is in the Light, we have Fellowship one with another, and the Blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin.
… The Bible says that God is Light.
John 8:12, the Bible says: Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the Light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in Darkness, but shall have the Light of Life.
… Jesus Christ said that I am the Light of the world.
God cannot tolerate Darkness because God is Light!
If you go back to the beginning/origin in Genesis 1:1-4; the Bible says:
- In the beginning God created the Heaven and the Earth.
- And the Earth was without form, and void; and Darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
- And God said, Let there be Light: and there was Light
I am Prayimg here this Morning that there shall be Light in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen.
- And God saw the Light, that it was good: and God divided the Light from the Darkness.
You know when you put all of these things together; who are the Vessels of Light?
- Those who are the People who wants to be Carriers of the Light of God.
- Those who wants to live in Righteousness.
- Those who wants to live in Holiness.
- And they want to be in Fellowship with God, not here on Earth only but even in Heaven.
Our God is looking for Vessels of Light and He wants to make us Vessels of Light.
Why? So that the Vessels of Light can drive away the Darkness.
In Isaiah 60: 1-3, the Bible says:
- Arise, Shine; for thy Light is come, and the Glory of the LORD is risen upon thee.
- For, behold, the Darkness shall cover the Earth, and Gross Darkness the People: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his Glory shall be seen upon thee.
- And the Gentiles shall come to thy Light, and Kings to the Brightness of thy rising.
… God wants us to Shine and He wants Kings and Presidents to come to the Brightness of our rising.
There are so many Vessels of Light in the Bible:
- Joseph was a Vessel of Light.
Even when he was working as a Servant, Mrs Portiphar came to tempt him.
And the answer he gave to her in Genesis 39:9 – He says: “How can I do this Great Wickedness and sin against God?”
… He wasn’t looking at his Master Portiphar but he was looking at God.
Vessels of Light, they don’t want to sin against God.
And he was Promoted to be a Prime Minister even in a Foreign Land.
I Pray that will be your Testimony in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ – Amen!
- Daniel was a Vessel of Light.
He Purposed in his Heart that he will not defy himself – Daniel 1:8.
Vessels of Light don’t want to defy themselves.
No wonder that in Daniel 3:29, the Bible said that King Nebuchadnezzar said: Therefore I make a decree, That every People, Nation, and Language, which speak any thing amiss against the God of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, shall be cut in pieces, and their houses shall be made a dunghill: because there is no other God that can deliver after this sort.
… When he saw how God used them as Light, he made that decree.
People said that if all the Christians in Nigeria were to be Vessels of Light, that Nigeria will be a much better Place.
I think that is even asking for too much by asking for all the Christians in Nigeria to be Vessels of Light – You are asking for too many People.
I will cut it down and say: If all the People who are Christians in Nigeria and who are Members of The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) alone are Vessels of Light, Nigeria will be a better Place.
We don’t need all the Christians in Nigeria, as they are too many.
If all of us who are The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Members, where we are we are Vessels of Light then this Country will Change for the better.
But you say: Pastor, I am not the President, I am not a Politician and I am not the Governor; how can I Change Nigeria?
You can Change Nigeria where God has Placed you.
You know that about forty four (44) years ago, I was a Student at the University of Ibadan and United Africa Company (UAC) Company of Nigeria PLC was giving out Scholarship – They have a Policy that time and they give two (2) Scholarships a Year for one Student each Per Faculty in the School.
And they will Change the Faculty every Year – They may choose Pharmacy this Year and choose from another next Year.
So when I was in Year 1, it was Social Sciences (Economics) Faculty they wanted to give and so everybody applied for it but only one Person will win it.
At the end of the day, I understood that they could not decide between two (2) of us – I was one of the two.
And then we didn’t hear anything from them again.
About three (3) Months later, I went for Lectires and came back to my room at Keneth Mellanby Hall at UI; there was a Letter by my door written by the Head of Human Resources (HR) of UAC in Lagos.
DMC NOTES: Mellanby Hall holds the Distinguished title of being the first Residential Hall established at the University College of Ibadan which later became known as the University of Ibadan. The Hall was named in Honour of Kenneth Mellanby, the Institution’s Pioneering Principal who served from 1947 to 1953. The Hall was Officially inaugurated on 17th November 1952 (University of Ibadan Founder’s Day)
She said: Look Mr Pitan, we gave you Scholarship about three (3) Months ago, how come that you have not accepted it? I have a feeling that something is wrong that is why I wrote to you Personally. If you are interested in this Scholarship, come and see me in Lagos.
That was the first Day that I got to know that I got a Scholarship.
I went to Lagos, she Proccessed it and said: Don’t worry going forward, come and see me in Lagos and I will give you your Cheque.
By the way Mr Pitan every Vacation, I will make sure that you have a Vacation job in UAC until you Graduate.
And that was all the woman did – Mrs Odiah
Years later, I was invited to come and Preach at the Chapel of the Healing Cross in Surulere Lagos – I think it was a Father’s Day Service (DMC NOTES: Chapel of the Healing Cross is an Interdenominational Protestant and Ecumerical Chapel that was founded in 1963).
And I was talking about People who can be your father but who are not your Biological fathers. And I spoke in the same vein about mothers as well.
Unknown to me, I never knew that Mrs Odiah was in that Church.
And so after Service, she came with her husband, who was a Professor to see me in the Pastor’s Office.
And she said to me that I am happy to see you Mr Pitan; I knew that you will do well – That was about 20 years after the Scholarship.
Now fast tracked that one, the woman is dead now and she has been buried and I went for her Service of Songs. It was there that I found out that she has been a Christian for close to fifty (50) years.
So, she was just the Person in Charge of Scholarship but she took it to another Level.
She simply said that this is the boy that we will give the Scholarship – If his University will not inform him, I will do it. If I have to break Protocols, I will break Protocols.
By the way, the Year they gave me the Scholarship was also the same Year that they gave Okey Oramah – Okey Oramah was in the Faculty of Agriculture and he just retired a few Months ago as the Chairman and President of African Export/Import Bank, Afreximbank (DMC NOTES: His full name is Professor Benedict Okechukwu Oramah).
How did that woman picked us?
She did not only pick People, she was Praying for them.
By the way Okey Oramah when he finished a few Months ago, the President of Nigeria (President Bola Tinubu) gave him the Sevond Highest Honour in Nigeria for the Services he rendered for Nigeria

Let us talk about Lecturers:
You know that I lost my Parents somehow early in Life and so it was my Uncle who brought me up. And so I have an elder brother called Kunle – He was very smart. He has a PhD in Civil Engineering from the Imperial University in London and he has been in London for over forty (40) years and still there till now.
I was in his Apartment in Londoj and so we were talking and we started talking about Church matters – He attends another Church and not a Member of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
He said to me that I respect your General Overseer and that he can never forget him.
This is Somebody that we grew up together in the same house – It was his father that brought me up.
I was wondering: This Man didn’t come to RCCG, how did he know my General Overseer?
So I asked him what is the Story?
He smiled and said that when he was a Student at the University of Lagos in 1975, that your General Overseer was his Lecturer and he taught him Applied Mathematics.
He said that the first Day he came to the Class, he said that I am Dr Adeboye and I will be taking you Applied Mathematics.
He said that in my Class, I will want all of you to have A’s because I am going to teach you very well. And not only that, I will make sure that I give you very Good Notes.
He continued and said that if any of you get a B, I will be disappointed because I will want to teach you very well.
My brother got an A in the Applied Mathematics.
Then he said that he also took a Pure Mathematics Course as well.
He said that the first time the Lecturer came into the Class, he said to them: In my Course, Nobody gets an A. If you manage to get a B, then you have done very well.
He didn’t mention to them that he will teach them very well or talk about the Notes that he will give them.
Let me ask you: This my brother does not come to Redeem; fifty (50) years after, he was talking about a Man that taught him over fifty (50) years ago and he was talking about him so fondly as if he is still seeing him every week.
You don’t have to be President of Nigeria to Change Nigeria.
If all of us do what we are supposed to do, this Country will be better for all of us – That is what it means to be a Vessel of Light.
☆ If you are in Custom and you behave as a Vessel of Light, Nigeria will Change.
☆ If you are in the Police and you behave Properly and you carry Light; Nigeria will Change.
But the fact that you are carrying Light does not mean that if you don’t behave Propetly that the Person that gave you the Light cannot take it away:
I. You know that Saul began to misbehave and then God left him.
In 1 Samuel 16:14, the Bible says that: But the Spirit of the LORD departed from Saul, and an evil spirit from the LORD troubled him.
Before, he used to join the sons of the Prophet to Prophetise – God was helping him but then the Light left him.
II. Samson was a Vessel of Light.
But he began to sin but then like I told you, Darkness and Light cannot coexist. God does not want Darkness at all.
But then, Samson assumed that the Light was still there as in Judges 16:20 and one day he thought that he will be able to do what he used to do.
Judges 16:20: And she said, The Philistines be upon thee, Samson. And he awoke out of his sleep, and said, I will go out as at other times before, and shake myself. And he wist not that the LORD was departed from him.
III. David was Smarter.
The Light of God was upon him and he was a Vessel of Light.
It was the Light of God that made David to kill the Lion, to kill the Bear and to kill Goliath.
Have you ever wondered about this?
Many of us have seen dogs and we have gone to the Zoological Gardens before to see what the Lion looks like.
And then David said that a Lion took one of the Sheep and I went after the Lion and took the food out of his mouth.
Food out of the mouth of the Lion? What are you talking about?
That was not David fighting; it was something deeper in him.
So when David committed Adultery; David knew that Light was about to leave him and so he began to Pray.
In Psalm 51: 10-11, David said:
- Create in me a Clean Heart, O God; and renew a right Spirit within me.
- Cast me not away from thy Presence; and take not thy Holy Spirit from me.
David knew that if the Holy Spirit leaves him, he is a dead Man.
IV. Ask Paul what it means to be a Carrier of Lights?
Acts 19:11-12, the Bible says:
- And God wrought Special Miracles by the hands of Paul:
- So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.
Paul was a Vessel of Light – Look at the Exploits that he was able to do.
By the way, the fact that you are a Carrier of Light does not mean that you cannot desire to have more Lights.
1 Corinthians 15:41, the Bible says: There is one Glory of the Sun, and another Glory of the Moon, and another Glory of the Stars: for one Star differeth from another Star in Glory.
So, if you are carrying Light – Maybe the Light of the Stars or the Light of the Moon or the Light of the Sun; I want you to carry the Brightest Light.
Proverbs 4:18 says: But the Path of the Just is as the Shining Light, that shineth more and more unto the Perfect day.
In the Parable of the ten (10) Virgins, all of them were Virgins. They had Vessels of Light but some of them doesn’t have enough oil (DMC NOTES: Matthew 25: 1-13).
So, there are some Christians too who are not carrying enough oil.
You need to carry enough oil because the Christian race is not a dash but a Marathon.
And I am Praying for you that the Grace to run the race to the very end; God will grant it unto you in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!
There are those who are in Darkness and some of them are not even aware of it.
2 Corinthians 4:4, the Bible says: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the Light of the Glorious Gospel of Christ, who is the Image of God, should shine unto them.
Those of you who are not Carriers of Light, they are in Darkness!
Proverbs 4:19 says: The way of the Wicked is as Darkness: they know not at what they stumble.
Psalm 7:11, the Bible says: God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day.
If God is angry with you, then how are you going to make it in Life?
You know that our God wants all of us to be Carriers of Light.
But He will not force Himself on you but He will want you to invite Him to come in so that you can become Vessels of Light and so that you can bring Light to where there is Darkness.
Philippians 2:15, the Bible says: That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye shine as lights in the world.
God wants us to Shine as Lights in the world.
This Morning, God wants you to come out of Darkness and come into Light.
Those of you who are not Born Again, they are in Darkness and the Enemies wants them to remain in Darkness. But God wants to make you a Vessel of Light.
ALTAR CALL
Revelation 3:20, the Bible says: Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.
So all eyes close for a few Minutes.
So, if God is knocking on the door of your Heart and:
☆ He wants to make you a Vessel of Light.
☆ He wants to turn situation around for your Good.
☆ He wants Light to Shine to every Darkness that you might have.
And today is a very Good day to give your Life to Jesus Christ.
So, I am going to count from one (1) to seven (7) – If God has spoken to you and you like to accept Jesus Christ today as your Lord and Saviour; wherever you might be, you can begin to come forward now.
For the rest of us, Please let us Stsnd!
And we are going to Pray.
PERSONAL PRAYER REQUEST
That God will make us His Vessels of Light,
That everywhere we found ourselves, that let us be able to Shine for Him.
Either in the Police, Army, Bank, Customs, Lecturers, Corporate Persons; let me Shine for You.
And if you have been Shinning before, Pray that you will Shine Brighter.
Ask God to use you for His Glory.
Pray that the Holy Spirit will not depart from your Life and that God will keep on using you.
Pray that the Excellent Spirit of God will be your Portion in the Land of the Living.
Pray that the Excellent Spirit of God will distinguish you and make a way for you.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
FINAL CLOSING PRAYER
Our Father and our Lord, we Thank You.
The Word that You have for Your Children, I have shared it with them.
In Obedience to Your Words, these Your sons and daughters has come forward to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour as they want to be Vesseks of Light.
Father, Please forgive their sins and their trespasses in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
From today onwards Father, as they call upon You; Please hear and answer their Prayers in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
In Your Heavenly Kingdom when the Roll is called, let their names be written in the Book of Life in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
For the rest of Your Children, Father I Pray that You make them Vessels of Light in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Everywhere they work and in whatever they do; let them Shine for You in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
And I Pray Lord that the Easter Present that only You can give, that same Power that raises Jesus Christ from the dead; let it quicken their mortal bodies in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
For those that requires Healings, let Your Healing Virtues flow through their bodies from the Crown of their head to the sole of their feet in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Father, I Pray that You will break every Curse over the lives of Your Children in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Roll away every Stones Standing between them and their Breakthroughs in the Mighty Name of Jesus.
