GENERAL PRAYERS
- Well, let’s go ahead and give God Glory.
Praise Him, and Thank Him for what He has done for you since the beginning of the Year (2025).
Praise Him for January, for February, for March, for April and now for May.
Give Him all Glory, give Him all Honour and give Him all Adoration for keeping you alive till this moment.
Bless His Holy Name – He is Worthy to be Praised.
Thank You Father!
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Worshipped – Amen.
- Now, I want you to cry to the Almighty God and say: Father, since it has Pleased You to bring me to the Month of May 2026; show me Favour.
Go ahead and talk to God.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
- Then let us Pray Specially for all our Brothers and Sisters who are involved with the Media – Whether Print Media or Electronic Media and so on and so forth.
Let us ask that the Almighty God will be with them, He will Protect them, He will guide them, He will Support them and He will Prosper them.
Let’s go ahead and Pray for these our Brothers and Sisters.

King of Kings and Lord of Lords; the Ancient of Days, the Unchangeable Changer, the One who has no Beginning and has no Ending, the One who speaks and it is done.
Glory be to Your Holy Name.
Thank You for January, Thank You for February, Thank You for March, Thank You for April and now Father, Thank You for May.
Accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
Father, since You brought us to the Month of May; all Your Children all over the world wherever they may be inclusive those reading now on the Label of DMC; show us Favour this Month (May).
Give us Special Grace, Special Favour, Special Anointing and Special Help.
As for Your Children who are involved in the Media in any way whatsoever; my Lord and my Saviour, help them, Support them, Strengthen them, guide them, Protect them and let it be well with them.
In every areas of their lives my Father and my God; show them Favour.
As for Your Children Lord, who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings; this Month (May) like never before, surprise them.
Bless them Specially,
Don’t let them ever lack,
Open the Windows of Heaven over them and bless them Mightily.
Today my Father and my God, in Your own Miraculous way; the very Purpose for which we are created, Father release to us.
And help us to fulfill Purpose.
In Jesus Marvellous Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Well, let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
Shake hands with two (2) or three (3) People and tell him/her: “God will show you Favour today” – Amen!

We are speaking on: “Created for Great Impact”.
Jeremiah 1:4-5:
- Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,
- Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the Nations.
When I became Born Again in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) on the 29th of July 1973, I was the most Learned Person (Quote and unquote) in the Church.
I was a Lecturer at the Prestigious University of Lagos (Unilag).
I was surrounded by many People – Market Women et cetera et cetera.
My Pastors then, not many of them went to Secondary School.
And here I came – A Mathematian, my head full of worldly Wisdom and always asking questions being a Mathematian.
I had several questions that I want to ask that I knew and was wise enough to know that if I ask my Pastors these questions; they will throw me out of the Church because they will say: Ha, ha; “Alakowe” (DMC NOTES: Meaning Educated Fellow) has come to spoil the Church.
I had questions like:
I. Is it true that God knows the end from the Beginning?
II. If the answer is Yes, then did He know that Adam and Eve will eat the forbidden fruit?
Because He knows the End from the Beginning.
III. If the answer is Yes, why did He Plant the tree that He said that they shouldn’t eat?
Because He knows that they are going to eat it.
IV. If He knew that they are going to eat it and yet He Planted it and then they ate it and did what He knew that they are going to do.
Why quarrel with them for doing what He knew that they are going to do?
That is the kind of questions on my little crazy head!
As stupid as those questions may be; I think that they were legitimate questions for an Academics to ask.
And since I knew that I can’t ask my Pastors, so I turned to God – Almighty God, You know all things.
You know that I am now Your son and I am a baby Christian; I am not querying You but I just want to know the Truth.
Can you Please explain.
And you know what? He answered me!
And He will answer you too this Morning – Amen!
He told me that everything that is happening in the world is part of a “Big Play” written by the Almighty God Himself, with everybody who comes into this world Playing a Part.
He told me that the Man who got closest to the truth is a Man called Shakespeare.
He was the one who said that the whole Earth is a Stage and that everybody is an Actor/Actress.
So, you are an Actor/Actress Playing a Part in a Play written before you were born.
He told Jeremiah in the Bible Passage that I read to you – He said that before I formed you, I knew you; before your father met your mother, I knew everything about you. I have the Blueprint already settled before you ever come out of the womb.
Tell your Neighbour that: You are not an Accident – You didn’t come to the world by Accident but you came by the Plan of God.
That was why I was telling some of my Children who are close to me – When they are asking me: Daddy, what is going to happen in Year 2027.
I said: Ha, whatever will happen in Year 2027 has been Settled before the world began.
You will be Stupid to think that the Almighty God is sitting in Heaven, scratching His Mighty Head with His Everlasting Arm saying by the way: Who should rule Nigeria in Year 2027?
Come here Jesus, what is your Advice?
It has been Settled before the world began
That is why I know that whether anybody believes it or not, my tomorrow is going to be alright – Amen!
- You have a role to Play in that Mighty Play of the Almighty God.
- And there is a Specific Time for you to show up in the Play.
You read Ecclesiastes 3: 1-8, the Bible made it abundantly clear: God has Timetable for everything.
Just like in a Play, there is Act 1, Scene 1; Act 2, Scene 10 and so on and so forth.
- And there is a Set Time for you.
Psalm 102:13 says: Hey, thou will arise and have Mercy on Zion.
Why? Because the Time to Favour her, yea the Set Time has come.
There is always a Time when you as one of the Actors/Actresses; there is a Section that you will come in and Play your Part.
- And you can’t do it before God is ready.
When you read Exodus Chapter 2 – You can read the whole Chapter; an interesting reading.
Something told Moses that you are created to be a Deliverer of Israel and he knew this within himself.
And one day, He went out and he saw some Egyptians ill-treating the Jews.
He knew that I was born to be a Deliverer and so he killed the Egyptian.
And God said: Ha, you are going to be a Deliverer? But there is a Time and the Set Time hasn’t come.
So, He put him (Moses) in the Wilderness for another forty (40) years – Don’t interfere with my Plan until I am ready.
How serious is this Timimg Business?
In Luke 2: 42-52, when Jesus Christ was twelve (12) years old, He was in the Temple and He was showing those People who thought that they were Professor of Theology that they don’t know much.
He was so involved with it that His Parents had to look for Him for three (3) days before they can find Him.
And they found Him and they said: What is going on? Why are you doing this?
He said that I am going about my Father’s business.
And His Father (God) said: Thank You very much, Your Time has not yet come.
He had to go with His Parents and for another eighteen (18) years; God kept Him somewhere.
When the Time now come; God brought Him out and said: This is my Beloved Son in whom I am well Pleased.
I Pray for Someone: May your Time of Favour come Today – Amen!
- If you are acting a Play and God has a Time for everything; we need also to know that the Playwriter reserves the right to alter the Play.
As they say: The White Man made the Pencil and he also made the Eraser.
In 1 Samuel 2:30, the Almighty God said to Eli – He said that I said indeed (It is ne who said so) that you and your father’s house will stand before me forever. He said but I Change my Mind.
The Good Plan that God has for your Life will not be altered – Amen!
- Do you know that it was written in the Play that when the Time comes, Somebody will betray the Lord Jesus Christ.
And for the Play to be really enjoyable, the one who will betray Him has to be Somebody who is very close to Him.
Psalm 41:9 – The one who is going to betray me will be my bossom friend; the one that I trust and the one who eats with me from the same Plate.
And the Plan was that the devil will be free to choose whosoever he wants.
The devil looked around and saw among the twelve (12) Disciples that the one who has shown tremendous Love for Jesus Christ was Peter.
I mean that you go through the Scriptures, you will find Peter saying when Jesus Christ said that I am going to be betrayed and crucified – Peter said: No way, not when I am around.
When you strike the Shepherd, the Sheep will be scattered? He said: “Not me, Peter the rock”.
And Jesus Christ told him but you are going to deny me three (3) times before the cock crows twice.
He said that if I have to die with You, then I will die.
But Jesus Christ went to His Father and said that I know what is in the Play but this fellow called Peter, he has become too close to me and I don’t want him to be the one that devil will use.
So Jesus Christ told him (Peter) in Luke 22: 31-32 – He said: Hey Simon, Satan wants you but I have Prayed for you.
In the Name that is above every other name; I cry to God on your behalf: Whatever may be the Plan of the devil concerning you; may the Almighty God Pray for you – Amen.
Jesus Christ went to the Father and said: Can we alter the Play a little? Let Satan take Somebody else but not Peter.
So Satan said, if I can’t have Peter, then I will take Judas Iscariot.
Do you know that Judas Iscariot was so close to Jesus Christ that he was the Treasurer? He was trusted.
And when Satan said that I will take Judas Iscariot, it will amazed you that Jesus Christ didn’t Pray for him?
If you read John 13: 21-30; even though He (Jesus Christ) warned him (Judas Iscariot) again and again – What are you about to do?
It would have been better that the fellow had not been born?
When the Time come, He (Jesus Christ) said: Judas, that which you want to do, do it quickly.
… He was already a thief anyway, so let him finish the job.
You see because the Topic of Today is a very heavy Topic, that is why I am taking this approach.
What you will do that will cause God to hand you over to Satan to do whatever He wants to do with you; may you not do it – Amen!
So God created you for a Purpose – It doesn’t matter who you are now or what you are doing now; He created you for a Purpose.
Believe me honestly: “It was a Good Purpose”.
Jeremiah 29:11 – He said: I know the Purpose for which I created you, Good one not a bad one. That you might have an Expected End.
Let me take one Example in 2 Kings 5: 1-19.
There was this small girl – As a little girl just Playing and having fun in her Parent’s home.
When all of a sudden, the Army of the Syrian came – They invaded the Land, saw this little girl and said why are we going to kill this one? Let us take her as a Slave.
They took her as a Slave to Naaman’s house.
I am sure that the girl would have been wondering from time to time: What have I done now? Why am I a Slave?
But the Purpose for her Life became clear when one day she summoned enough courage to tell the wife of the Master – Hey, Oga is a Leper; but in my Country, there is a Prophet. If only Oga can get to that Prophet, he will be healed.
… That was the Purpose of the birth of that child.
And Someone Passed on the information – The Good News was Passed on to Naaman.
At the end of the day, Naaman got healed.
But the Story didn’t end there:
When Naaman got healed and came to the Man of God and said Thank You I am healed now. I have Plenty of money that I can give you.
And the Man of God said: No, I am not the one who healed you but it is God. The Power to heal you I got it free and so I give it to you free.
Then the General said: Help me, let me take some soil from this Ground and go home and built an Altar to your God.
Through that little girl, the Gospel reached Syria.
She was an househelp but God created her to bring the Worship of the Most High to Heathen Nations.
That was a Great Impact that she created!
- Occasionally, Somebody may be created to do something Great for God but before he/she could do it; Satan will move him/her.
Don’t you ever think that the devil does not know a little bit about your future – He may not know it all, but he knew a little bit.
Whenever Somebody is born, there is a Star in Heaven.
And it is not only the Angels that sees the Star; the devil sees it too.
He knows where God is taking you.
Some of you can Testify – Particularly those of you who had managed to reach certain Level of Greatness.
You can tell Stories of how many times the devil tried to kill you,
And when he cannot kill you, you know how far he had taken you far away from God.
But there is Good News – That the Almighty God can always step in and turn the Tides in your Favour!
I will give you another Example in Mark 5: 2-19:
There was this Man that was so Mad that he became a Good Advertiser of Satan.
You bind him with fetters of iron, he will just blow it aside.
He tells everybody – You don’t know what you are talking about? You are dealing with the devil?
When Somebody goes Mad, he has an energy that you cannot describe.
But the Almighty God said that I didn’t create this fellow to advertise Satan; I created him so that he could advertise me.
So one day, Jesus Christ came by and drove out all the demons.
And that same Man became an Evangelist for God.
It doesn’t matter how far gone you are with the devil; if you will allow Jesus Christ into your Life; He will turn the Tides for you Today – Amen!
One day we went to Preach in Ilorin in the Prison there and we distributed tracts to them
And one of the People that got the tracts said thank you very much for something that I can use to wrap my next round of Indian hemp.
He took the tracts and after we had gone he said, let me read what is there before I smoke it.
And he read the tracts and became Born Again.
His Character changed so radically that they released him from Prison and he traced the Church.
Today, he is still an Elder in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG).
He was so far gone that he himself didn’t have any hope that he will leave the Prison but God brought him out.
I don’t know how much more that I need to say other than share one or two Stories with you and then let you decide how you are going to Pray.
Because God has a Great Purpose for your Life, I will use examples of two (2) People you know in this Church and who are still alive.
STORY NO 1:
There is this young boy who is very, very Good with the Saxophone – You have a rough idea of who that fellow is.
He was so good even when he was very, very young.
And one day, one of General Overseer of one Church called him – And the Church of that Man then was called “The Church of the Millionaires”.
The Man called this Young boy and told him that I want you to come and be blowing this Saxophone for me in my Church. I will pay you ten thousand dollars ($10,000) every Month.
Hey, ten thousand dollars ($10,000) in those days to a small child? And we don’t pay Musicians anything – They just Play to Worship God.
And something in that boy told him – That is not my Plan for your Life.
So he told the Man: Thank You very much for the offer; but I can’t leave my father.
That Church, I am Praying that the Almighty God will continue to help them.
But it wasn’t long after that, that the Founder died and things were not as Prosperous as it used to be.
Today because that boy said that I can’t leave my father; anywhere in the world where I had gone; that boy has visited there.
There is no where in the world that I had gone in the world that, that boy had not gone to.
There is no where in the world that I had Preached where he has not blown the Saxophone.
Somehow in his early days, he knew the Purpose of God for his Life.
May God show you your own Purpose in Life – Amen.
STORY NO 2:
There was this time that we were having Finance Houses in Nigeria.
When Somebody will just come and start a Finance House – Collect your Money and Promise you Interest.
It got to a Stage that they were Paying you Interest on your Money even before – Advance Interest.
And so, everybody was pumping their Money to them.
And in those days it became very difficult to retain a Driver because every Driver wants to go and work for them in the Finance House.
So all of a sudden, my Driver then came to me and said: Daddy, I want to go for further Studies.
Ha, okay I can’t say no.
I didn’t know that he was going to work for Finance House.
Suddenly I woke up one Morning and I have no Driver.
And you know – If you know the number of kilometres that I have travelled in this Nigeria, it will frightened you.
So what am I going to do?
So my wife says: You travel more than I, take my Driver and I will look for another one.
So I called my wife’s Driver – Look, do you want to be my Driver or my son?
Ha, that is an insane question – He said that I will be your son.
I said think o – Because if you will be my son, you can’t resign. And it doesn’t matter what you do, I can’t sack you.
So have you made up your Mind? I said that will you be my son or Driver?
He said that I will be your son!
That was a time when the total number of Official Drivers in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) will be Probably be two (2) or three (3).
Today in the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); we have hundreds of Official Drivers – He is the Chairman of them all.
One day I was Preaching and I say: As soon as my Driver brings me here, he has done his own job. Ii will be Preaching and he will be resting.
When I got back to the car, he said: Daddy, that is not true o. My Assignment is to carry you to where you will do the Preaching. But as you are Preaching, I will be Praying.
Because I can see clearly: When God is rewarding you for what you are doing, He will reward me for carrying you there.
I am going to ask you to Pray today – And the Prayer of today is not an Ordinary Prayer:
- Pray that: God, show me the Purpose for which You created me. Let me discover it quickly.
- You will say: Father, help me to achieve my Purpose in Life.
- Then add: If I am about to go wrong, Please Pray for me and let me fulfill my Destiny.
ALTAR CALL
And finally, those of you who has not given your Life to Jesus Christ and you think that it doesn’t matter as I am doing well.
What is the meaning of doing “Well” if you are not going in the direction that God is sending you?
The only Person who knows your future and who can guarantee that you will arrive is Jesus Christ.
Surrender your Life to Him and let Him take over your Life from this moment onwards.
I mean: If God wants you to go to Ibadan and you get to Sagamu Junction and you turned to the right.
And you say that the road is good and you are speeding and saying that I am doing fine.
You are doing fine on the wrong direction.
By the time you should be in Ibadan, you will already pass Ijebu Ode – Doing fine in the wrong direction.
Enough is enough – Half a word is enough for the Wise.
If you want to Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ and if you want God to take you from now on and guide you for the rest of your Journey in Life so that you will arrive at the right Place at the end of your Life; come and give your Life to Jesus Christ now.
I am going to count from one (1) to ten (10) – If you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ; it is between you and God. So don’t worry what your friend will say.
This is a Special Day in your Life.
If you want to Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ and ask Him to be your Lord and Saviour; come before I count up to ten (10).
I am counting now!
Those of you infront of the Altar, let us cry to the Lord and say: Lord, have Mercy on me, save my Soul, forgive all my sins, become my Lord and Savioue, take over my Life and I will serve You and do Your Will.
Go ahead and cry unto Him.
And the rest of us, let us Stretch our hands to our new Brothers and Sisters and intercede for them:
Pray that the Lord will saved your Soul and the Lord who is the Controller of your Life; will save them also and He will continue to take care of them.
Thank You Father.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
PRAYER FOR SALVATION
And so my Father and my God, I want to say Thank You very much.
Thank You for Your Words and Thank You for these People who has responded to the Call.
Please receive them in Jesus Name.
Have Mercy on them, save their Souls, forgive all their sins, let Your Blood wash them Clean and become their Lord and their Saviour.
And Please Lord, write their names in the Book of Life.
From now on, whenever they call on You, answer them by Fire.
And let their future be alright.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
Well, if you believe that God wants to do something Special in your Life today; let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.
CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God, I want to Thank You.
Thank You for Your Word.
As for these Your Children, my Father and my God, Please Pray for them.
Let them reach their Goal.
Let Your Purpose for their lives be fulfilled.
Don’t let them go astray
If they are already going astray, my Father and my God, reverse them.
If they are not doing what you want them to be doing, this very day; Please correct them.
Let them end well.
And don’t let them fail You
They will be crying to You in a moment; Please answer their Prayers.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Praise the Lord – Hallelujah!
PERSONAL PRAYER REQUEST
Now, I want each and everyone of us to cry to the Almighty God and say:
Father, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ; let me fulfill Your Purpose for my Life,
The Purpose for which You created me, let me fulfill it
