The Topic before us tonight says: “Divine Faithfulness”.

And my Anchor Scripture is 2 Timothy 4:7-10:

  1. I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:
  2. Henceforth there is laid up for me a Crown of Righteousness, which the Lord, the Righteous Judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.
  3. Do thy diligence to come shortly unto me:
  4. For Demas hath forsaken me, having loved this Present world, and departed unto Thessalonica; Crescens to Galatia, Titus unto Dalmatia.

Permit me to lay a quick Foundation:

  • By defining some Terms.
  • Share a few things the Lord will have me say.
  • And then we will Pray together.

The word ‘Divine’ refers to anything that relates to God.

The word ‘Faithfulness’ means Unfailing; remaining loyal to Someone or Something.

Faithfulness is the quality of being steadfast, loyal, and consistently reliable even when circumstances become difficult.

When I look at the Theme, Divine Faithfulness, I realize that it can be looked at from two (2) Perspectives:

It is either we look at it from the angle of;

  1. God’s Unchanging and Unfailing Commitment to His Children.

Or we look at it from the angle of;

  1. What God requires and expects from us His Children.

I trust the Lord to bring the two (2) together.

Divine Faithfulness is therefore, God’s expectations from us.

Because Faithfulness is one of the major yardsticks God uses to measure the level of our obedience to Him.

In every Generation, God is always looking for men and women to continue His Eternal Kingdom Mandate.

And one Major requirement that God seeks is Faithfulness.

2 Timothy 2:2 says, And the things that thou hast heard of me among many Witnesses, the same commit thou to Faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.

AREAS OF FAITHFULNESS

I would talk about three (3) areas God expect us to be Faithful out of many other areas.

  1. Faithfulness in our Love and Daily Fellowship with God.

In Mark 3:13-14, the Bible makes us to understand.

it says:,And he goeth up into a Mountain, and calleth unto him whom he would: and they came unto him. And he ordained twelve, that they should be with him, and that he might send them forth to Preach.

Let it register in your heart that every Christian has an Ordination.

And our first Ordination is with Him.

Luke 10:38-42 reveals to us two (2) sisters – Mary and Martha.

Jesus came visiting and then we see Mary at the feet of the Master, gazing at Him and listening to Him. And then the sister, Martha was cumbered about serving the Master.

By the way, there is nothing wrong with Service – And I am coming to that too.

But then Martha confronted Jesus.

The Bible says, But Martha was cumbered about much serving, and came to him, and said, Lord, dost thou not care that my sister hath left me to serve alone? bid her therefore that she help me.

And Jesus answered and said unto her, Martha, Martha, thou art careful and troubled about many things: But one thing is needful: and Mary hath chosen that good part, which shall not be taken away from her.

Can I say to you tonight that one thing is needful?

I’ve realized in my little walk with God that when you are Faithful in your Love and Daily Fellowship with God, there is something you must understand.

And it is that, staying around men always drains a man. But when you stay with God, you will always be filled.

  1. Faithfulness in our Service to God and in the Fulfilment of His Purpose for our lives.

One of the ways God measures Faithfulness is Fruitfulness; especially in the area of Soul Winning.

Matthew 25:13-14 reveals to us the Parable of the Talents:

Watch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh. For the Kingdom of Heaven is as a man travelling into a far Country, who called his own Servants, and delivered unto them his goods.

God gave one fellow five (5) Talents, to another He gave two (2) Talents and the last Person got one (1) Talent.

All God was looking for was just Faithfulness.

The fellow who received five (5) Talents came back with five (5) Talents more.

The one who received two (2) Talents came back with additional two (2) Talents.

All God was looking for from the Person who received one (1) Talent was just one (1) Talent extra but then he became an Unprofitable Servant and was unfaithful.

Let me say this: To serve Faithfully, you must learn to consciously and deliberately put on the cap of a Servant even though you are a Son.

To serve Faithfully, we must ensure that our Services to God is in alignment with His Purpose for our lives.

2 Timothy 4:7 says, I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the Faith.

… “I have finished my course.”

To serve Faithfully, we must find out our Individual Purpose and Place of Primary Assignment.

Permit me to say, especially to my Generation and the younger Generation that when you are serving, you must serve in alignment with God’s Purpose for your Life.

But let me say this: Your Purpose does not have to be Popular.

Every one is looking for Popular things to do.

Purpose is not about Popularity.

You have the various parts of the body, but you must understand that every part of the body is working toward the good of the entire body.

I will use a very quick Life example.

Every time we see our father-in-the-Lord comes to the Altar to teach us the Word of God but each time I sit at the back I always see a man joyful at what he is doing.

And I am not sure I have see him on this Altar before – When I asked who he is, I was told the man is the National Head Usher. He’s always joyfully doing his work.

My God! There’s nothing as Faithful as that.

Can I say this to you?

On the Last Day, our father-in-the-Lord will stand before God, the National Head Usher will stand before God. And God will say to our father-in-the-Lord, “Thou Good and Faithful Servant, Welcome!”

God will also say to the National Head Usher, “Thou Good and Faithful servant, Welcome!”

Why? Because he found his place of Primary Assignment.

Let me say this: To serve Faithfully, we must serve with a Mindset of Salt.

What do I mean by Salt? I mean, not serving to Please men but God.

Each time we want to cook, take for instance, rice; you don’t know the number of grains of the rice in the pot but you don’t pour all the salt inside the pot.

One thing is sure, after serving the rice and you ask, “How does the rice taste?” They would say, the rice tastes delicious.

The truth is that what made the rice taste delicious is the salt but you give the glory of the salt to the rice.

Yet the salt is not quarrelling with the rice.

Do you know why?

It’s because the salt knows, “I am only fulfilling my own Purpose.”

After the food is cooked you don’t see the salt; yet the salt is relevant.

Can I say this to you? Learn to be like the salt; not Pleasing men but just being Faithful to God.

What I am saying is this: What God rewards is Faithfulness.

And to be Faithful in our Service to God, we must die to Fame and Titles.

You know why? Not dying to Fame and Titles have a way of putting pressure on a man; and taking the man out of God’s Plan for his Life.

Fame, Titles, if you are not dead to it, you will not be able to serve Faithfully in alignment with God’s Purpose for your Life.

Before I go to the last Point, I remember some years back; I used to complain: “Why is it that every Invitation I get to Minister is always for a Retreat, Leadership or Worker’s Conference?”

I was telling God: What about all those “shouting” Programs. Sorry I used the word ‘shouting.’

God said to me: You were designed for such!

He asked me a Question: Between a Kingmaker and a King, who is more Influential?

At first you would say it’s the King, but He said, it’s the Kingmaker.

He said, I am raising you as one of the Armies I have Promised your father-in-the-Lord, Pastor E.A Adeboye, to be a Kingmaker.

So stay in your Lane.

That settled me for Life in Ministry – Not looking for Fame, not looking for Popularity because I am in my Lane.

TAKE OUT THE ASHES

If you are going to be Faithful in your Service to God, you must learn to take away Ashes from your Altar and put Fresh Woods.

Philippians 3:13-14 says, Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before, I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.

What are Ashes?

Ashes are the Achievements God is using you to Produce in the Kingdom.

  • When you focus on the Ashes, your Vision will be dimmed;
  • When you focus on the Ashes you will Celebrate too soon.

Hence, you need to take away the Ashes, and ensure that fresh woods are always on your Altar.

Lastly, where does God expect us to be Faithful?

  1. Faithfulness in our Trust in God and Personal Conviction about God.

What am I trying to say? I am saying have Faith in the Faithfulness of God.

One of the highest levels of Faith is having Faith in the Faithfulness of God.

Numbers 23:19 says, God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?

The three (3) Hebrew Boys were faced with a Challenge – They said to Nebuchadnezzar, we have a track record of the Faithfulness of God; and they are in two (2) Perspectives.

  1. We have a track record that our God is able to deliver us.

But if He decides that what He wants is to watch an horror movie; if He wants to watch us roast in the fire;

  1. We also have a track record of the Faithfulness of His Sovereignty.

And by the way, let me say this:

One of the Strong Characteristics of Faithful Men is that they are ready to die for their Faith.

Because to be Faithful is to be Full of Faith.

And to be Full of Faith is to Possess a Strong and Unwavering Conviction about God.

You are going to do me a favour, as I bring this Message to a close.

I want you to please join me as we rise together tonight.

The whole world is trying to look at our God as a God who is not caring, and as a God who is not Faithful.

But Jeremiah 32:27 says, Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there anything too hard for me?

And the Bible says: Call upon me in times of trouble, I will hear you, and you will Glorify me. (DMC NOTES: Jeremiah 33:3)

PRAYER POINTS

  1. Can you Please lift your voice in all humility to God as you cry unto Him.

The Ministry of Angels is still at work.

We are going to send Angels to the Camp of the Kidnappers

We are going to cry to the Lord: In Your infinite Mercy prove to the world that You are Faithful by delivering Your Children in Captivity.

Go ahead and Pray!

Father, in Your infinite Mercy, Prove to the world that You are a Faithful Father.

Not next Month, this very Month (June 2026). Please send Angels to deliver all Your Children in Captivity.

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

  1. One more Prayer.- When they are released that would not be the end. We need a Permanent intervention concerning what is happening in this Nation.

Lift your voice and cry to the Lord and say Father, we are helpless, send Your Divine Intervention to the situation of this Nation.

Go ahead and cry to the Lord!

In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Please, be seated!

BASIS OF OUR FAITHFULNESS

In conclusion, there are three (3) Major things that would form part of the basis of what God will use to examine our Faithfulness:

  1. Our Thoughts
  2. Our Motives
  3. Our Actions

You can never walk in Faithfulness without Possessing the DNA of Faithfulness.

ALTAR CALL

But as many as received him, to them gave He Power to become the Sons of God, even to them that believe on his Name: (DMC NOTES: John 1:12)

When our father-in-the-Lord comes up, if you know that your Life is not in alignment with God, make sure you come for the Altar Call.

One more Prayer (while you are seated) you’ll cry to the Lord…

Because, after all is said and done, we will all face our Master.

Matthew Chapter 25 talks about two (2) Categories of People;

  • The Wise Virgins
  • And the Foolish Virgins

But there is a last Category – Those that sold the oil.

How come they were selling the requirement to meet the Master? Yet the Master came and they were still selling oil?

Lift your voice and cry to the LORD: Help me to be found Faithful at the Glorious End.

Thank you so much for staying all through to read.
