OPENING PRAYER
Ancient of Days, we Worship You.
King of Kings and Lord of Lords; the Alpha and the Omega, we Worship You.
We Thank You for January, we Thank You for February, we Thank You for March, we Thank You for April, we Thank You for May, we Thank You for June and now we Thank You for July.
Thank You for a New Beginning.
Thank You for bringing us to the Second Half of this Year.
My Father and my God, accept our Thanks in Jesus Name.
Father today we are Praying especially for Your Children – School Children in the Primary Schools, Secondary Schools and even Higher Institutions of Learning.
Father, we are Praying for their Teachers, we are Praying for their Lecturers, we are Praying for their Professors and we are Praying for all those who are involved in the Education Sector of our Nation.
We ask Lodd God Almighty that You will give them Divine Wisdom
That You will give them Divine Understanding
That You will help them
That You will Protect them
That no evil will come near them at all.
We Pray Lord God Almighty that You put an end to any form of Kidnapping in all our Schools in Jesus Name.
In our Nation Nigeria, Father we don’t want to hear Bad News anymore.
We Pray that You will help us Lord and You will take care of these People.
They are many but You are the Almighty God and You are everywhere Oh Lord:
Please Protect these Your Children, Protect their Teachers and just let it be well with all of them.
And Lord, we Pray for all Your Children who has been Faithful in the Payment of their Tithes and in the Giving of their Offerings:
Beginning from now, Your Promise of Supernatural Abundance; fulfill for them.
This very Month, open the Windows of Heaven upon them and bless them beyond measures.
And all Your Children who are here before You today inclusive all those who are reading this Message now on the Label of DMC: Wherever they may be, Please Lord bless them.
Give them a Brand New Year.
And let Your Name be Glorifiedl
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.

Shake hands with one (1) or two (2) People and say: “Good Morning, Happy New Year!^
And it shall be well with all of you in Jesus Name – Amen.
You can be seated.
I am sure that you can see that today, I am here at the Mount Carmel Prayer Village in Ifewara Osun State Nigeria.
I am here for a very Special Meeting with God.
And I will invite you, if you haven’t been to this Prayer Mountain that you should find time even if it is only one Weekend in a Year – That you come to this Mountain and spend some time with God.
I wil, advise you that you make it at least a 3-Days stay.
Why? Because when you get here, you will feel the Presence of God so much that you won’t want to go back in a hurry.
You are Welcome to the Great Prayer Mountain where the Almighty God answer Prayers by Fire.
So come and spend time with God here and you will have Great Testimonies to share – Amen!
This Morning, we have been asked to speak on: “ABOVE ONLY”.
Our Bible Text will actually be: Deuteronomy 28: 1-13 but I will read only Verses 1 and 13.
Deuteronomy 28:1-13:
- And it shall come to pass, if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the LORD thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the LORD thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth:
- And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the LORD thy God.
- Blessed shalt thou be in the city, and blessed shalt thou be in the field.
- Blessed shall be the fruit of thy body, and the fruit of thy ground, and the fruit of thy cattle, the increase of thy kine, and the flocks of thy sheep.
- Blessed shall be thy basket and thy store.
- Blessed shalt thou be when thou comest in, and blessed shalt thou be when thou goest out.
- The LORD shall cause thine enemies that rise up against thee to be smitten before thy face: they shall come out against thee one way, and flee before thee seven ways.
- The LORD shall command the blessing upon thee in thy storehouses, and in all that thou settest thine hand unto; and he shall bless thee in the land which the LORD thy God giveth thee.
- The LORD shall establish thee an holy people unto himself, as he hath sworn unto thee, if thou shalt keep the commandments of the LORD thy God, and walk in his ways.
- And all people of the earth shall see that thou art called by the name of the LORD; and they shall be afraid of thee.
- And the LORD shall make thee plenteous in goods, in the fruit of thy body, and in the fruit of thy cattle, and in the fruit of thy ground, in the land which the LORD sware unto thy fathers to give thee.
- The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow.
- And the LORD shall make thee the head, and not the tail; and thou shalt be above only, and thou shalt not be beneath; if that thou hearken unto the commandments of the LORD thy God, which I command thee this day, to observe and to do them:
As far as God is concerned, there are two (2) Categories of People:
☆ Head and Tail.
☆ Above and Beneath
☆ We put it in another way – When you read Proverbs 22:29, He talks about two (2) Categories of People: Kings and Mean Men.
Proverbs 22:29: Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
☆ And in Matthew 15: 21-28, He classified all the People into two (2) Categories: Children and Dogs.
So you have an opportunity this Morning to choose:
☆ Do you want to be Above or do you want to be beneath?
☆ Do you want to be the Head or do you want to be the Tail?
☆ Do you want to be Kings or do you want to be Mean Men?
☆ Do you want to be Children or do you want to be Dogs?
I am sure that you know that Physically speaking that if there are two (2) Groups of People living along a Riverbed – And some are living at the High Points of the River and the others are living in the Valley below and it is the only Source of water that they have.
It follows that it is the water into which the People at the Top of the River had washed in that the People in the Valley below will be drinking.
That will tell you that it is a serious matter – It is whatever that is left over from the Head that goes to the Tail.
It is from those Above that the People beneath continue to sustain themselves.
All you have to do is to take a look at what is happening in any Nation of the world and you will discovered that those People at the Top, they never lacked anything.
You won’t have Blackout in the house of the President – It doesn’t happen.
Why? Because there are so many Precautions made that things don’t go wrong there.
And if you find Someone who is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of a Big Company; you will never see them at the Filling Station queuing up for fuel.
As far as they are concerned, whatever the Price of Petrol, that is none of their business – They want to go anywhere, they just go into the car.
How the Driver go to the Filling Station, fuel up et cetera et cetera, doesn’t concern them – When it is time to move, they move.
For the People below, you know the situation.
Once upon a time in our Beloveth Nation Nigeria, I was living in a Place that when Power returns, we shout for Joy after three (3) days of Darkness. And Nobody will even care to say that we are sorry that Power failed.
… That is for those of you in the Valley.
Now you should Thank God that you have Power once in three (3) days.
But in the Name that is above every other names, Somebody is leaving the Valley today and never to return to it – Amen!
If not because of limited time, I could have talked more about the difference between those at the Top and those who are beneath.
I mean if you talk about Health for instance:
If Someone at the Top has a Problem that the Hospitals in the Country cannot handle, they send them Abroad.
I am sure that many of you had never heard of Special Planes called Air Ambulance that can ferry a Sick Man to Specialist Hospitals Abroad.
And I have heard of People who died because they were not able to pay the Deposit for Treatment in the Local Hospital available.
In the Name that is above every other name, you will leave the Valley today and go to the Top – Amen!
Now, Promotion comes from God according to Psalm 75: 5-7 – It is God who Promotes.
Because when I said that you are leaving the Valley today, some of you can be wondering: How is that going to happen?
Well, if you read 1 Samuel 2: 7-9; the Bible tells you that God is able to Pick Up a Beggar from the dunghill and lift him up until he is now residing with Kings.
There are certain things that are not Possible for Man but they are easy with God!
And my God will Promote you today – Amen!
Now, getting to the Top depends seriously on the Mercy of God.
Because according to Romans 9: 15-16; the Bible tells us: It is not really of him that willeth or of him that runneth but of God who shows Mercy.
So I am Praying for you today: You will obtain Mercy from God – Amen!
The important thing actually in our Topic of today is the word “ONLY” – Above Only.
You have already had an idea of what is it to be “Above”.
But what do we mean by being “Above Only”?
Do you know that it is better to remain at the Valley and never, never go to the Mountain Top than once upon a time to be Above and then return back to the Valley.
There is nothing as terrible as being an Ex-Champion.
There is nothing as Painful as having been to the Top and now to end up in the Valley.
I mean you can imagine Somebody who was once upon a time like everybody else; was catching a bus to go to work. Anytime the bus comes, he will have to join it.
If you are living in Mushin and working in Victoria Island (VI); you have to wake up very early to go and line up at the Bus Stop so that you can make it to work.
And then all of a sudden, you got Promoted and you have your own car; then you don’t have to wake up exactly at the same time the fellow who had to catch up with a bus.
And if you used to have a car before and then things happened (God forbid) and now you have to catch up with a bus again.
And while you are Struggling to go into the bus, Somebody trampled on your leg and you look at the fellow and say: Can’t you see my leg?
The fellow will look at you and say what are you talking about? You are in the Bus Stop? What are doing here if you don’t want to be trampled upon?
When you enter the bus that day, you are going to say: It is not your fault, Nobody trampled on my leg when I had my own car
I Prag for you: In the Name that is above every other name, you will be Above Only – Amen!
The sorrows of an Ex-Champion is in multiples.
You know that I used to be interested in Boxing – When you are a World Champion in Boxing, whenever you are going on the Streets, everybody will, be greeting you: Champ, Champ, Champ.
The day you become an Ex-Champion, the shame is not just the bruises on your face, but it is that those who used to cheer you up when they see you coming, they turn their faces.
Oh, you want to ask for an example? Why don’t you ask Samson?
When as a Universal Champion, when they saw him coming, they say: Here comes our Hero.
Then you read what happens in Judges 16: 18-end – And the Champion became a Slave of those who used to see him and run.
You remembered the time he was in an Harlot’s house and the People (Soldiers) learnt that he was in Town and they said: Let us surround the house and let us wait till he wakes up.
Why do you think that they did that?
Because they are sure that if this Man wakes up and begin to fight us, if we don’t run, we are the one who will die.
But after he became an Ex-Champion: After they plucked out his eyes, they bound him and they caused him to be dancing to their idols; the Story was different.
Many of us had always wondered in his Last Prayer when he asked God to Strengthen him one more time; he asked that he should die?
Simple, he didn’t want to become an Ex-Champion ever again – Let me be able to regaun my crown just one more time.
If you are interested in Boxing as I am, you will see People who has retired Gloriously and then after two (2) or three (3) years after, they say that they want to Stage a comeback.
They are older and they know that the fellow that they want to fight is Younger and may be Stronger and so more likely to win.
Many of them go for comeback because they are saying: If that Fellow is going to kill me, it is better to die than to be Ex-Champion.
I Pray for you: In the Name that is above every other name; you will be Above Only and be a Champion Permanently – Amen!
And so I just want to share with you for another few Minutes: “HOW DO I BECOME ABOVE ONLY AND NEVER BENEATH”.
How do I reach the Top and stay there?
- You must keep Climbing.
It doesn’t matter how high you are now, you must keep Climbing.
That is saying to my beloveth children that are still in Schools; you must keep on Studying – Every Year, you must keep on Studying.
The day you Graduate in the Primary School, your Parents came to rejoice with the “Little Graduand” but you better keep going because if you stop in Primary School, you won’t be a Champion next year.
That is why you go from Primary School year by year – They test you and keep Promoting you to Secondary School.
You finished Secondary School – You move on.
You go to the University and get your First Degree – You move on.
You get the Secomd Degree – You move on.
You get your PhD – You move on.
I think that I have shared with you before – I remembered very well that I was saying that I must get my PhD; and so I got it. And now I was glad because now I am a Doctor.
Because when you get your Masters (MSC), there is no much difference between you an a First Degree Holder (BSc) – They still address you as Mister (Mr).
So now, I have gotten my PhD and was happy as they can now call me Doctor; until I was driving along the road and I saw a Signboard beside a Shoe Maker: “Doctor of Shoes”.
Suddenly, I discovered that Doctor is different from Doctor.
I remembered my Head of Department of Blessed Memory, Professor Chike Obi – He was a Doctor of Mathematics and he was one of the best we ever had.
And he will be talkimg and looking at Doctor of Medicines and he will say: “Doctor of Wounds” but I am a “Doctor of Mathematics”.
Then you became a Professor – Now, People will know that you are different.
And suddenly it will become clear to you that Professor only have meaning only in the University Campus.
Maybe you have noticed this – If they ever want to raise funds in your Local Village, have you ever seen a Professor invited to a Fund Raising Program?
Go to the Academics Community, you will discovered that even after you became a Professor, you must keep on Publishing Papers, you must keep on Learning and you must keep on Pressing forward.
So those of you who are Students, remember that there is never an end to Learning – You must keep on Learning.
May I tell you: If you were where you are last year this year; you are a Backslider!
Because if Last year you are in Form 3 and this year you are still in Form 3; you have backsliden because:
☆ Your mates has gone to Form 4 while you are still in Form 3 – Meaning your equal has now become your Seniors.
☆ Those who used to call you Senior Last year when they are in Form 2 has not become your equal in Form 3.
That is why the Bibke says in Proverbs 22:29 – Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.
It takes more efforts to remain a Champion than to become a Champion.
I have been there: I know that when you are a First Contender for a Post in Boxing, you keep on Practicing – You wake up 5am, you go Gym, you run around, you do Shadow Boxing and many manners of things secretly because you are Planning for the day that you will meet the Champion.
The Champion hasn’t gotten too many friends – Everybody wants to take his Crown.
And then one day you become a Champion and every Boxer in the land will be waiting for the day they will come to knock off your head and take your Crown.
And so to keep Above Only, you must be diligent and keep on Pressing on.
- And then because God is the Promoter and He says in His Words that it is not of him that willeth nor of him that runneth but of God that showeth Mercy. And He added that I will show Mercy to whom I will show Mercy.
And then He says in His Words: Blessed are the Merciful for they shall obtain Mercy (DMC NOTES: Matthew 5:7).
☆ You want to obtain Mercy from God for your Promotion, then you must be Merciful.
☆ You want to remain on Top all the way, then you must learn to show Mercy unto others.
Blessed are the Merciful; what do you mean by that?
According to the Word of God in Jude 1: 20-23, it tells you: Out of Mercy, out of Compassion save Sinners.
Don’t say that I am already saved and I am on my way to Heaven; it doesn’t matter if others goes to Hell.
Have Mercy on them!
If you want to retain your Position where God out of Mercy is taking you, then you must keep on showing Mercy to others.
- And finally, this is where this Topic comes in on a Thanksgiving Sunday.
You want to remain the Head Permanently, Praise God continuously.
Remember Somebody who said: “Surely Goodness and Mercy shall follow me all the days of my Life” – That is David in Psalm 23:6.
In other words, he is saying: Hey, I am King and I am going to be a King forever.
He is the fellow who said in Psalm 34: 1-2 – I will bless the Lord at all times, His Praise shall continuously be in my mouth.
And you know the Story very well in 2 Samuel 6: 16-22 – When David was dancing before God and his “Flowing Gown” was blowing this way and that way so that his Stomach was showing.
And the wife saw him and say: Look at you? You are a King and you are dancing like an Ordinary Man.
He (David) said: You haven’t seen anything; I am going to dance more. I am dancing for the One who made me King and the One who took the Kingdom from your father.
And do you know what the Almighty God said?
He said that there will always be a King on your Throne.
And you know that David just kept going on:
☆ He was Anointed before his Brethrens.
☆ And then he was Anointed as King over Judah.
☆ And then he was Anointed as King over Israel.
☆ And long after he was dead; the King of Kings was passing by one day in Mark 10: 46-52 and a Blind Man asked who was passing by and they said Jesus Christ.
He said that I know how to get his attention: “Jesus, thou son of David”.
I know Your Father – Your Father is a King.
Jesus Christ said I see! You know that the King of Kings is still the son of David; I will wait and attend to you.
David was a King forever:
☆ He was a King before he died.
☆ And even after he died, he still remains a King.
I am believing God for you:
☆ You will be Above Permanently – Amen.
☆ You will never come beneath again – Amen.
ALTAR CALL
But since only Jesus Christ can Promote you, how can you be Promoted if you stay away from Him?
That is only if you have not Surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ and you are Struggling to reach the Top.
You may reach the Top without Him but will you be able to stay on Top?
And it is better never to leave the Valley than to leave the Valley, stay on Top for a while and crash again.
So, if you want to be Above Only, you want to just reach the Top and stay there; I will invite you now to come forward.
Come to the Altar and Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ – Your future depends on it.
So, I am going to count from one (1) to ten (10); so begin to move fast and come and Surrender your Life to the One who can Promote you.
Come quickly to the One who can sustain you at the very Top.
I am counting now!
Those of you before the Altar, you can now begin to Pray.
Begin to cry to God and say: Father, have Mercy on me, I don’t want to stay in the Valley; save my Soul out of Mercy and then I will serve You all the days of my Life. And I will show Mercy to those who are yet to be saved.
Save my Soul and then begin to Promote me – Become my Lord and Saviour and my Promoter.
And the rest of us, let us Stretch our hands towards these Brethrens that are in front – Pray and intercede for them that the Almighty God who Promoted you above Witches and Wizards will save their Souls too so that they too can begin to climb.
Thank You Father!

PRAYER FOR SALVATION
Our Father and our God, I want to Thank You very much for Your Words.
Thank You for speaking to us today and Thank You for these People who has come forward to Surrender their lives to You.
Please Lord: Receive them, have Mercy on them, save their Souls, let Your Blood wash away their sins and Lodd include them among the People who are Families of God.
And then as You are saving their Souls today, I Pray that anytime they call on you from now on, you will answer them by Fire.
And very soon, let them begin to enjoy Your Promotion.
And as they grow, let them keep on growing.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God, I want to Thank You very much for speaking to Your People today.
Thank You because You say in Your Word that You will heal them and deliver them out of their distresses.
Father, I Pray today for all Your Children who are Your “True Children”; Please Promote them:
Promote them out of the Valley of Sickness.
Promote them out of the Valley of Poverty.
Promote them out of the Valley of Sorrow.
Father, Promote them above Witches and Wizards.
Just keep them very, very High.
And help them to keep going Higher and Higher.
Let them remain Above Only.
And let them serve You till the End.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
PERSONAL PRAYER REQUEST
Now it is your turn to cry out to the Almighty God.
Lift your Hands to the Most High God and cry to Him and say: Father, the Great Promoter; Please keep on Promoting me until I will be at the very Top. And then keep me at the Toop forever!
Go ahead and talk to the Almighty God!!!
