OPENING PRAYER
Ancient of Days, King of Kings and Lord of Lords.
Immortal, Invincible, the Only Wise God.
The God who was, the God who is and the God who will forever be.
The Unchangeable Changer, the One that speaks and it is done.
We Celebrate Your Faithfulness and we Magnify You.
Thank You Oh God for this very Day,
Thank You for our mother,
Thank You for our father,
Thank You for The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG),
Thank Yiu for this Season of Joy in this Mission.
Accept our Thanks in the Name of Jesus.
Thank You because Your daughter, our mother is alive today – We give You Praise.
Father, take all the Glory.
Even as we go into Your Word briefly, we ask that, that Word of Life You will Minister to us in Jesus Name.
My Father and my God, all that Your Word can do in the Life of a Man, accomplish it in our midst Tonight in the Name of Jesus.
Let there be Salvation,
Let there be Healings,
Let there be Deliverance
Let there be Speedy answers to Prayers,
Let there be Mighty moves of Your Power
In the Mighty Name of Jesus.
Thank You Excellent Redeemer
We just want to say that we love You because You are the first to love us.
In Jesus Name we Pray – Amen.
I want to Thank the Almighty God and I am thanking my mother for this Unjque Privilege – I least deserve it and I am grateful that You have given me the Privilege.
I Pray that your Anointing will never run dry in Jesus Mighty Name – Amen!
God has just started with you – Moses started his Ministry at the age of 80 years Old and so you are just doing “Warm Up” as you are going to live long for us as the Lord lives in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
I Celebrate my father in absentia – I know that he will be watching the Screen now.
And I say: Daddy, more Grace and Anointing – Amen.
Thank you for taking good care of our mother as we can see your Handwriting on her – Thank you sir.
I am asked to speak briefly on the Topic: “Divine Priorities”.
Matthew 6:33 – I am reading from the Amplified Bible Version:
Matthew 6:33 in the Amplified Bible (AMP) says:”But first and most importantly seek (aim at, strive after) His kingdom and His righteousness [His way of doing and being right—the attitude and character of God], and all these things will be given to you also.”
The word Divine as we all know that it has to do with something with God.
Priority of course means the Number one (1) on your To-do list.
Those of us who are always working, we have so many things to attend to – Every day, you write out what you want to do in order of Priority.
What is it that is on that list? It may be one (1) or fifteen (15) things that you want to do in a day but there is one (1) that is the most crucial and there is one that comes first .
That is your Priority.
Divine Priority, it means that thing that comes first in the Heart of God for you and I – Those things that are Uppermost in His Heart for us,
Like on Thursday (2nd July 2026) during the RCCG July 2026 Holy Communion Service, Daddy told us that God wants us to be healed and be healthy,
And I want to say today that there are other things that are of Priority in the Heart of God for you and I,
And we have not just come to talk about it, there is a living Example of Someone who has understood what Divine Priorities for our lives are and she has been doing it.
And so, we are going to learn firsthand by His Grace.
Priority means that thing that comes first before any other thing.
That thing which receives your attention before others.
☆ To some of us, it is business that is our Priority in Life.
☆ To some of us, it is our Career that is Priority.
And that is why when such People wake up in the Morning, the first thing that they look for is their Phone to see Business News.
The first thing that they want to talk about is what is going on around them.
But those of us who has understood that God should be their Priority; before even knowing what God has in Mind for them, when they wake up in the Morning they reach out for the Word of God – They want to talk to God.
Tonight, I will just mention three (3) things that are important to God – And those are the Priorities in His Heart for you and I:
And like I said earlier, there is a Living Example in the House – I am talking of no other than our mother, Pastor (Mrs) Foluke Adenike Adeboye.
- When you look at a woman in General, we love to have children.
Why is it that we want to have children? It is simply because we want Fellowship.
The first reason is not to have Somebody to send on errands but you want Fellowship – You want a Child that you can carry. You look at the face of the Child and the Child looks at your face.
When your husband has gone to work, you have Somebody that is laying his/her head on your Chest and you have Somebody that you are going in and out with – You want Fellowship.
God our Father wants His Children to love Him and make Him their Priorities.
Unfortunately, some of us don’t make God our Priority – We have other Priorities in Life.
But when you look at where we read as Bible Text, the Bible says that we should seek first the Kingdom of God.
☆ The Priority should be God.
☆ The Priority should be Heaven.
☆ The Priority should be how to Please Him in all that we do.
But do we do that? What we find today is that we want to leave the Substance and we are Pursuing the Shadow.
Instead of making that Heaven our Priority and instead of making God our Priority (The One that we are living for and striving to Please); we make other things our Priority.
When you look at Deuteronomy 6:5 (Amplified Bible); the Bible says that: You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and mind and with all your soul and with all your strength [your entire being]
You are to love God Passionately with everything that makes you.
☆ God wants you to love Him Totally.
☆ God wants you to love Him Completely.
He is not going to take 50-50 from us – You are sharing His Love with something else, no way!
… If He is your Priority, you will love Him Passionately.
If you look at Mark 3:14, you will see that Jesus Christ our Lord and Saviour choose twelve (12) Disciples.
Why did He do that?
Looking at Divine Priorities, it is clear that it is because they should be with Him – That is the Number one (1) thing,
Like we use the example of a mother:
☆ He wants us closer to Him.
☆ He wants us to wake up in the Morning and lay our heads on His Chest and hear what He has in Stock for us.
☆ He wants us to come and talk to Him in Fellowship and be with Him.
Do you take time to be with Him?
☆ He wants us to stay in His Presence
Before running any errands for Him, the first thing that He wants is to be with Him and then He will send us out.
Those who understands Divine Priorities will do according to our Bible Text – They will make God their Number one (1) in everything that they do.
They will always start their Day with God through Prayers and the Word of God.
Why? It is in His Presence that they will know the Mind of God for them.
When you put God in His Right Place, everything will fall in Place in your Life.
God said in Psalm 32:8 (Amplified Bible) that: I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you [who are willing to learn] with My eye upon you.
He is willing to direct us – That is why He wants Fellowship with us and wants us to come to Him.
☆ He doesn’t want us to run helter-skelter.
☆ He doesn’t want us to beat about the bush.
☆ He doesn’t want us to burn our fingers before we learn.
Come to Him:
☆ Wake Up in the Morning
☆ Listen to Him
☆ Speak to Him
☆ Receive directions from Him.
When you don’t make listening to Him and talking to Him your Priority; you are likely to run ahead of him.
And when that happens, you will run into trouble.
Your “WALK” with God, is more important than your “WORK” for God.
Many of us are working for God but we are not walking with Him!
What is crucial and important to Him and what He wants from you and I is to walk with Him.
Let us learn to make Fellowshiping with Him our Priority.
I know that so many things demand our attention in Life but God wants us to make Him the first in our lives.
Isaiah 54:5 in the Amplified Bible (AMP) says:”For your husband is your Maker, The Lord of hosts is His name; And your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel, Who is called the God of the whole earth.”
This is the reason why the women in The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) are Celebrating a woman who understands Divine Priorities and she is living according to it.
☆ She understood what is Uppermost in the Heart of God for her and she strictly adhered to it.
☆ She is a woman who choose to make God her Number one (1).
☆ Fellowship with God is a Priority to her.
☆ And of course serving God; you will find her at the forefront.
☆ A rugged Missionary, a Committed Evangelist and a Prayer Champion who will never take No for an answer.
☆ She is so Passionate about Kingdom Assignment that she has to employ some People – Place them on Salary, buy Motorcycles for them so that they should go around and be Evangelising.
That is the woman that we are talking about – She understands the Priorities of God for her Life and that she is not sent here just for a Fashion Show but she is here to raise Disciples for God.
She is here to win many Souls to the Kingdom of God.
This woman who understood God and who makes God her Priority and her Number one (1); once shared with me by Divine Privilege that the first time Somebody blessed her with a Cheque of Fifty Million Naira (#50,000,000.00); because she has made God her Number one (1), she told herself: Father, this belongs to You. And she sowed it entirely to the work of God.
Do you love God to that extent?
Have you make God your Priority?
I. To seek the Kingdom of God first, it means: Your Phone, Career, cars, houses etc all placed side by side with God; you will choose God.
II. To seek the Kingdom of God first, is to seek the Giver above the Gifts.
Unfortunately some of us nowadays we choose the Gift above the Giver.
☆ When you have the Giver, you can be sure that the Gift will be yours.
☆ When you have the Substance, automatically the Shadow will follow.
☆ When you choose God above all other things, Naturally those things that others are running after will begin to run after you.
The Ephemeral of the world that they are chasing doesn’t worth it – Chase God and see that all the additions that He has Promised in this world, He will give it to you without Stress.
If you look at Genesis 27:20, Isaac asked his son: How come you come back quickly? And he said: Your God brought it to me.
When you make God your Priority, what others are running after; God will bring it to you on a Platter of God!
- Building a Godly Home is of Priority in the Heart of God.
And you can see a Living Example again in the Life of our mother.
It is among the Priority of God that His Children should build a Godly Home.
Hence He said is Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (Amplified Bible):
- These words, which I am commanding you today, shall be [written] on your heart and mind.
- You shall teach them diligently to your [a]children [impressing God’s precepts on their minds and penetrating their hearts with His truths] and shall speak of them when you sit in your house and when you walk on the road and when you lie down and when you get up.
Also in the Book of Proverbs 22:6 (Amplified Bible) says: “Train up a child in the way he should go [teaching him to seek God’s wisdom and will for his abilities and talents], Even when he is old he will not depart from it.”
Ephesians 5: 22-25, reveals the Mind of God concerning Christian Home.
It is among Divine Priorities that God-Centered Homes should be built.
This is why Husbands and Wives responsibilities are well spelt out in Ephesians 5: 22-25.
Ephesians 5: 22-25 (Amplified Bible) says:
- Wives, be subject [a]to your own husbands, as [a service] to the Lord.
- For the husband is head of the wife, as Christ is head of the church, Himself being the Savior of the body.
- But as the church is subject to Christ, so also wives should be subject to their husbands in everything [respecting both their position as protector and their responsibility to God as head of the house].
- Husbands, love your wives [seek the highest good for her and surround her with a caring, unselfish love], just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself up for her,
And of course, Children are not left out.
Ephesians 6:1: ‘Children, obey your parents in the Lord [that is, accept their guidance and discipline as His representatives], for this is right [for obedience teaches wisdom and self-discipline].”
After making God your Number one (1) and your Homes as well, searching the Scriptures should be a Priority as well.
The Children of Eli were a disgrace to God.
I believed that both him (DMC NOTES: Eli) and his wife failed to join hands in raising their children (DMC NOTES: Hophni and Phinehas)
Perhaps Prophet Eli was busy with the work of the Ministry and the woman was busy making money (DMC NOTES: The name of Eli’s wife not mentioned in the Bible).
1 Samuel 2:12 (Amplified Bible) says: “Children, obey your parents in the Lord [that is, accept their guidance and discipline as His representatives], for this is right [for obedience teaches wisdom and self-discipline].”
Learning from our mother, next to her Personal walk with God is her Obedience to God in being a Home Maker.
Proverbs 31:11 (Amplified Bible) says: “The heart of her husband trusts in her [with secure confidence], And he will have no lack of gain.”
We are all witnesses of Mama’s Support to our father-in-the-Lord:
☆ She is using everything within her Power to see her Man Standing.
☆ And her Children serving the Lord.
- Shinning is Part of the Divine Priorities of God for your Life – He wants you to Shine.
In Matthew 5:16 (Amplified Bible), God wants us to Shine.
He said that: “Let your light shine before men in such a way that they may see your good deeds and moral excellence, and [recognize and honor and] glorify your Father who is in Heaven.”
How do you Shine? It is by winning Souls.
Our Parents are Shinning all over the world because they are Soul Winners.
Daniel 12:3 (Amplified Bible) says: “Those who are [spiritually] wise will shine brightly like the brightness of the expanse of heaven, and those who lead many to righteousness, [will shine] like the stars forever and ever”
Now, you and I should ask ourselves Questions: “How many Souls have you led to Christ?”
Rather than winning Souls, we make empty Glory:
☆ By His Grace, I am thirty (30) years in the Lord.
☆ By His Grace I was there when Redeem started.
Thank God for you but where are your Fruits?
God wants you to Shine and the way to Shine is to be a Soul Winner – To bring People out of Darkness.
When you begin to win Souls, God will take your Life out of obscurity and bring it into Limelight.
Brethren, half of the Year is gone, how many Souls can you Point to that between January 1st and June 30th that you have won?
By His Grace at least I won five (5) Souls for the Lord – Is that true about you?
Let’s come home: Even between January 1st and today, mere inviting People to come to the Holy Ghost Service, how many People do you tell about the Love of God?
Paul made God his Priority, no wonder thousand of years after his death; his Life still Shine to People in the dark. And through his writings, many are surrendering their lives to God.
Philippians 3: 7-10 (Amplified Bible):
- But whatever former things were gains to me [as I thought then], these things [once regarded as advancements in merit] I have come to consider as loss [absolutely worthless] for the sake of Christ [and the purpose which He has given my life].
- But more than that, I count everything as loss compared to the priceless privilege and supreme advantage of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord [and of growing more deeply and thoroughly acquainted with Him—a joy unequaled]. For His sake I have lost everything, and I consider it all garbage, so that I may gain Christ,
- And may be found in Him [believing and relying on Him], not having any righteousness of my own derived from [my obedience to] the Law and its rituals, but [possessing] that [genuine righteousness] which comes through faith in Christ, the righteousness which comes from God on the basis of faith.
- And this, so that I may know Him [experientially, becoming more thoroughly acquainted with Him, understanding the remarkable wonders of His Person more completely] and [in that same way experience] the power of His resurrection [which overflows and is active in believers], and [that I may share] the fellowship of His sufferings, by being continually conformed [inwardly into His likeness even] to His death [dying as He did];
Is it your Priority to know Him?
Paul was begging to let everything go, only for him to know God more; so that he can have a sweet Relationship with God – He count everything but dung.
Today, what are we Striving for?
☆ Empty Titles – Instead of seeking for Mantles,
☆ Power and the Grace of God.
We seek empty Titles – We want People to know when we come in that we have arrived.
Let’s change our Mind tonight – Be like Paul so that after you have left this Planet Earth, you will still continue to Shine.
Only God knows how many Generations yet to be born – Maybe the 3rd and 4th Generations will still read about Daddy and Mummy’s Life and will still see their Handwritings on the wall and will still see their footprints on the Sand of History.
What of you and I? Instead of making God our Priority, we run after Ephemeral things of this world – We Glory in the number of cars we have and how many houses we have all over the world.
Change your Mind today.
God’s Priority is that you have Fellowship with Him:
☆ He wants you to be with Him – He doesn’t want you to be like Martha.
Martha was engaged with things of the world – Caring and Cooking, that she even told the Master: Why are you allowing Mary my Sister to sit at Your feet when she is supposed to be with me at the Kitchen.
Jesus Christ shut her up – He said that this one has set her Priority right; she knows what is Good for her and she has chosen it.
Let me talk to the women – Have you made God your Priority or the Fashions of the world is your Priority?
Instead of working for God and sowing into the Kingdom, what do we do? We go for the latest and vogue in town.
Let’s change our Mindset and make Jesus our Priority.
Look 10: 40-42 is what I will conclude with – It is the Story of Martha.
Luke 10: 40-42 (Amplified Bible):
- But Martha was very busy and distracted with all of her serving responsibilities; and she approached Him and said, “Lord, is it of no concern to You that my sister has left me to do the serving alone? Tell her to help me and do her part.”
- But the Lord replied to her, Martha, Martha, you are worried and bothered and anxious about so many things;
- But only one thing is necessary, for Mary has chosen the good part [that which is to her advantage], which will not be taken away from her.
Have you Chosen that one thing and Good thing:
☆ Having Fellowship with your Maker?
☆ Raising Godly Seeds for Him?
☆ Winning Souls for Him?
Fellowshipping with Him should be our Top Priority.
☆ Let us choose to appear before Him everyday before appearing before Men.
☆ Let us choose to talk to God first and settle the Day with God first.
☆ Let us desire Him more than Life – You have only one Life to live and it will be better you live that Life for God.
☆ Let us build a Home whereby God is Glorified.
☆ Let us make up our Mind to Shine through Soul Winning.
☆ Let us use every avenues to bring Souls to the Kingdom.
☆ And above all, don’t forget: “Seek the Mantle and not the Title”.
Shall we bow down our heads and Pray:
I don’t know what you have heard this Evening:
Talk to God that I want to make You my Priority, Father Please help me.
I have been distracted in the Past chasing the Shadows and running after Ephemeral things of this world; Lord I’m retracing my Steps – Baba restore me and restore my Fellowship with You.
I now realised that it is a Priority to You that I Fellowship with You – The Purpose for which You saved me and called me is so that I can Fellowship with You; Father help me.
I don’t want to be distracted any longer – I want to remain in Fellowship to You: Draw me closer to You and be my Priority as from today.
Lord, help me – Make me a Soul Winner:
☆ I want to Shine for You
☆ I don’t want my Life in Obscurity any longer.
I want to Shine for You – Help me to win Souls for You.
The same Grace that is upon my father and my mother in the Lord, let it come upon me.
Father, help me – You have helped our mother and she understood Divine Priorities, she understood what You want from her and she follows You so that You help her; help me also.
Thank You Father!
In Jesus Name we have Prayed – Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER
Almighty and Everlasting Father, we are before You tonight.
Thank You for the opportunity to hear Your Words.
We are saying Lord: You have helped our mother-in-the-Lord to understand Divine Priorities and to walk with it:
Help us in the Name of Jesus.
Thank You Everlasting Redeemer,
Glory be to Your Holy Name.
In Jesus Name we Pray – Amen!!!
