Thank You for the Conventions that have gone Past.
Thank You for this One (DMC NOTES: RCCG Annual Convention 2026)
And Thank You in advance for what You are about to do this week.
Father, accept our Thanks, in Jesus’ Name.
Beginning from now Father, do what You alone can do.
Mountains we know about and the ones we do not know about, Father move them all.
Let the Miracles begin right now.
And before today is over, let Your Name be Glorified.

BIRTH REPORT
- I have Good News for you about the Number of Children born on this Campground since the Convention began, up to 6:00pm today (DMC NOTES: 6pm on Tuesday 4th August 2026).
As at today, twenty nine (29) babies have been born – Fifteen (15) boys and fourteen (14) girls.
Let the boys shout Praise the LORD.
And let the girls shout Halleluyah!!!
- Alright! Make sure you keep your surroundings absolutely clean.
Please take note of that, it is very important.
- Take Note: by tomorrow (Day 3 of the Convention) the 3 by 3 kilometers Auditorium will be open. As you can see this place is already filled up. We will still be ministering from here. That place will be open to us.
Tonight I have a very serious Assignment. And that has to do with a Topic called, “From Grass to Grace.”
Our Bible Text will be Daniel 4:28-37:
28 All this came upon the king Nebuchadnezzar.
29 At the end of twelve months he walked in the palace of the kingdom of Babylon.
30 The king spake, and said, Is not this great Babylon, that I have built for the house of the kingdom by the might of my power, and for the honour of my majesty?
31 While the word was in the king’s mouth, there fell a voice from heaven, saying, O king Nebuchadnezzar, to thee it is spoken; The kingdom is departed from thee.
32 And they shall drive thee from men, and thy dwelling shall be with the beasts of the field: they shall make thee to eat grass as oxen, and seven times shall pass over thee, until thou know that the most High ruleth in the kingdom of men, and giveth it to whomsoever he will.
33 The same hour was the thing fulfilled upon Nebuchadnezzar: and he was driven from men, and did eat grass as oxen, and his body was wet with the dew of heaven, till his hairs were grown like eagles’ feathers, and his nails like birds’ claws.
34 And at the end of the days I Nebuchadnezzar lifted up mine eyes unto heaven, and mine understanding returned unto me, and I blessed the most High, and I praised and honoured him that liveth for ever, whose dominion is an everlasting dominion, and his kingdom is from generation to generation:
35 And all the inhabitants of the earth are reputed as nothing: and he doeth according to his will in the army of heaven, and among the inhabitants of the earth: and none can stay his hand, or say unto him, What doest thou?
36 At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the glory of my kingdom, mine honour and brightness returned unto me; and my counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my kingdom, and excellent majesty was added unto me.
37 Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase.
MOUNTAIN OF PRIDE
You say, Daddy how come you pick a Topic like this when we are talking about Mountain Movers?
There are all manner of Mountains; all manner of Enemies, and all manner of Problems.
When you have a Mountain and you don’t even know you have it, it can become the most dangerous of Mountains.
So I appeal to you to listen to me carefully tonight – Pride is a Mountain we must get rid of right away before we proceed with the rest of the Convention.
GRASS
Grass refers to the bottom – The lowest level.
GLORY (GRACE)
Glory refers to the top – it is the Highest Level.
- When we talk about Grass, it means that is lowest Level in Life.
- When we talk about Glory (Grace), it means the level that is very, very high level in Life.
The Bible says in 1 Samuel 2:7-9, The LORD maketh poor, and maketh rich: he bringeth low, and lifteth up. He raiseth up the poor out of the dust, and lifteth up the beggar from the dunghill, to set them among Princes, and to make them inherit the Throne of Glory: for the Pillars of the Earth are the LORD’s, and he hath set the world upon them. He will keep the feet of his Saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by Strength shall no man Prevail.
It tells us about how God can take someone from the dunghill (Grass) set him among princes and cause him to begin to dine with Kings (Grace).
And we’ve chosen this Particular Passage (Daniel 4:28-37) because it shows us clearly the difference between the two: Grass and Grace.
I mean, if all of a sudden a King becomes a Madman, you have a rough idea of Grace to Grass – Like in the Story in our Bible Text.
The thing about Grace to Grass or Grass to Grace, whichever way you want to talk about first:
- In the Grass level there is something very spectacular, and this is Shame.
And I Pray in the Name that’s above every other name, you will never know shame again – Amen.
I Pray that even before this Convention comes to an end, anything that causes shame would have disappeared from your Life – Amen.
This Passage is what would help us to know about this terrible Mountain we must get ride of tonight – Pride: even before we Proceed in the Convention.
At the Grass level you find a King becoming an animal. You find him walking about naked.
Just like it happened in the beginning when Adam and Eve sinned – The Bible tells us that when God created Adam and Eve, they were naked but they were not ashamed.
Genesis 2:25 says, And they were both naked, the man and his wife, and were not ashamed.
Because at that time they were clothed with the Glory of God.
When they sinned, suddenly their eyes were opened – They became aware of their Nakedness, and began to look for leaves to cover themselves.
The King (Nebuchadnezzar) left the Palace and began to keep the company of animals.
Unless this Particular Mountain called Pride is removed, one will still be keeping the wrong Company.
What is a King doing keeping the Company of animals?
Because the Bible says in Proverbs 21:16, The man that wandereth out of the way of understanding shall remain in the Congregation of the dead.
These Congregation of the dead belong to those who have deviated from the way of the Lord.
I am Praying for those of you who have deviated, that no matter how ‘slightly’ you have gone from the way of the Lord, you will return back to God tonight – Amen.
Now, the journey from Grace to Grass always starts with Pride.
The Bible says Proverbs 11:2 When Pride cometh, then cometh shame: but with the lowly is Wisdom.
That’s why you have to be careful. Because you may begin to think, “After all this Topic is not for me, it is for those who have not yet known the LORD.”
But Proverbs 16:18 says, Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.
PRIDE MANIFESTS IN VARIOUS WAYS
- Some say “There is no God.”
So, I am going to use as an example, what used to happen when I was in the University.
When we go to the Staff Club, and after a bottle of beer, we began to talk about God.
Some of us would say there is no God.
Psalms 14:1 says, The fool hath said in his heart, there is no God. They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good.
And Proverbs 3:35 says, The wise shall inherit Glory: but shame shall be the Promotion of fools.
So, if you feel you are highly educated and you begin to think as many of us thought back then, that there is no God. I mean to the extent that when we were told God is the One who created us, we replied, “you want to know how we were born? My Daddy met with my Mummy, that’s how I was born.”
… You say, “I am not in that Category.” Are you sure?
Because some of us don’t say God is dead with our mouth but we say it with our actions.
And God wants that to Change today.
In the University we would say, this world is so organized to have just existed; you know, there are some Theories in the world that there was a Big Bang! One big explosion and we have the world.
- Some say, maybe God is dead.
Some People say maybe there was God once upon a time. But now He is dead.
And I am sure it can’t be true, according to Job 19:25 which says: For I know that my Redeemer liveth, and that he shall stand at the latter day upon the Earth:
I am sure you know that one!
But some of us say that with our actions; that is why we believe He doesn’t see us.
I mean, if He is ‘dead’ can He see? And yet the Bible says in Psalms 94:9, He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?
Because if we know that He sees our actions and hears our conversations:
- How will our conversations and actions be?
- If we know that everything we say is being recorded, how many jokes will we stop sharing?
- How many things will we be saying, that are not true about our Brothers and Sisters?
You see, when you do certain things, you are feeling: God, I know You can’t see or hear me, because You are dead.
He is not dead, He is Alive!
It is a very serious Bible Study, so pay close attention.
At least you remember the case of a Pastor who took a Member of the Choir (not our Choir) to an Hotel far from home). They looked right, looked left, Nobody around knew them.
Then they got to the Hotel room, the girl said Sir, we have looked right, left, everywhere Nobody saw us but we didn’t look up!
There’s Somebody up there who can see and can hear us – Remember that in all your activities God can see you and He hears all your Conversations.
- Some say: He can do His own thing while I mind my own Business.
Even those days in the University we said, there may be God; He might be alive, but He is minding His own business, and I am minding my own business, so I don’t need Him because I am a ‘god’ by myself.
Like in Daniel 3:1-15, that King (Nebuchadnezzar) said to those three (3) Hebrew Boys:
Nebuchadnezzar spake and said unto them, Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, do not ye serve my gods, nor worship the golden image which I have set up? Now if ye be ready that at what time ye hear the sound of the cornet, flute, harp, sackbut, psaltery, and dulcimer, and all kinds of musick, ye fall down and worship the image which I have made; well: but if ye worship not, ye shall be cast the same hour into the midst of a burning fiery furnace; and who is that God that shall deliver you out of my hands?
He was saying, if you have a God fine, He is God minding His own business. I am a ‘god’ by myself as well.
We tend to believe that there are certain things we can do without the help of God.
John 15:5 makes it clear: “Without Him we can do Nothing” – “I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing.”
- So, there are those who say there’s no God.
- There are those who say, maybe He is alive, but that was once upon a time. Now He is dead.
- There are those who say, He can do His own thing, while I mind my own business.
And all these are Signs of Pride! And you need to deal with that Mountain before you can talk about moving any other Mountain.
You see, the journey from Grass to Grace begins with getting rid of Pride.
This King who became mad said, I came to my senses and I’ve discovered who the God I have been toying with really is:
At the same time my reason returned unto me; and for the Glory of my Kingdom, mine Honour and Brightness returned unto me; and my Counsellors and my lords sought unto me; and I was established in my Kingdom, and Excellent Majesty was added unto me. Now I Nebuchadnezzar praise and extol and honour the King of Heaven, all whose works are truth, and his ways judgment: and those that walk in pride he is able to abase – Daniel 4:36-37
- He said, I came back to my senses and became clothed again.
- I was restored to me my Kingdom.
- And my Life became Glorious again.
HOW TO MOVE THE MOUNTAIN OF PRIDE?
- When you encounter Crisis
Usually, the Mountain of Pride is moved when you find yourself in a crisis beyond your abilities to handle
And I am Praying for every one of you here, including those of you reading the Message now on the Label of DMC: Because this is going to be a Convention you have never experienced before; the kind of crisis that will be far, far beyond your control will never come to you again – Amen!
- When you humble yourself
The Bible makes it abundantly clear in 1 Peter 5:6 Humble yourselves therefore under the Mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time:
- When you Submit to God
In James 4:6-7 the Bible says, But he giveth more Grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the Proud, but giveth Grace unto the humble. Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.
EXAMPLES OF THREE (3) PEOPLE WHO SAID THEY DON’T NEED GOD.
I am going to give you Three (3) examples of People who said they don’t need God – People who believed tbat there’s nothing coming anywhere that they can’t handle. Saying they have enough.
I am not sure there’s someone that rich here or reading this Message now on the Lsbel of DMC.
STORY NO. 1:
But some People feel that they don’t need God Financially.
There was a very wealthy Businessman and a big Contractor.
We’ve been asking him to surrender his life to Jesus Christ and he would laugh – “Talk to the Poor who need your Sermon.”
And then crisis came! A crisis that he saw clearly that unless God steps in he would be finished.
He had a little quarrel with his wife and she told him, by the time I am finished with you, you will trek in Lagos.
And he laughed! “What are you talking about? With all these vehicles in the house.”
I don’t know all the details, but every Contract he had executed, that he had bided for years past, the Government began to call him back, claiming the money they paid him because something went wrong.
Until he had only one (1) car left.
He had shall we call it five hundred (500) Naira left. And he was hungry, and the fuel was running low.
And he had to decide:
- If I use this money to buy food, then I will trek, because I’ll have no money to buy fuel.
- If I buy fuel, what will I eat?
That was the level when he came back to our headquarters at Ebute-Meta and said, I want to to surrender my Life to that your Jesus; because He is the One who can bail me out of this crisis.
STORY NO. 2:
The second example is about someone who feels that he himself is a ‘god.’
Years ago I used to send our Disciples (Young People) out in two’s to go out and Preach – “Go to any house and Preach there.” And don’t argue with them too long.
Somebody feels he doesn’t need Jesus Christ ask him or her a question: “Have you a Problem you can’t solve?”
If he says, Yes! Tell him or her, “Bring that Problem, we will Pray for it in the Name of Jesus.
If the Problem is solved, then you will surrender to Jesus.”
And these two, one boy , one girl went to a house, in a town not far from here that is well known as the Headquarters of witchcraft, at least in Yorubaland.
And these children went in to the house of an Herbalist to go and Preach to him.
Because they were talking about Jesus, he laughed! He said, “Don’t you know the house you have entered into?
He told them he is the Leader of all the Herbalists in the town – He said, look around you.
But because you are little children I will let you go because you are in the house of a ‘god.’
So the children asked him the question I said they should ask: “Have you a Problem you can’t solve?” He said he has one.
You see, he was getting his Powers from the witches, and they were always coming for their Prey – Any time he got married and the wife becomes Pregnant, she will begin to bleed until death.
And now finally he has married a Lady, and has fallen in love with her.
And then the witches have come to collect their salary. And the woman had been bleeding nonstop.
He had used all his charms, and it hasn’t worked.
So, when the children asked him, have you a Problem you can’t solve? He said well, I think I have one.
They Prayed for the Lady and left the house.
They haven’t gone beyond one street when they heard somebody calling them, and they looked back it was the Herbalist, “My children come back!
They came back and found, the bleeding had stopped – Hallelujah!
And he gave his Life to Jesus Christ.
I am appealing to you, don’t wait for a crisis before you surrender to Jesus Christ;
Don’t wait for a crisis before you say bye bye to Pride!
STORY NO. 3:
There’s a third one that said well, God may be there. He may be alive, but He is managing Himself and I am managing myself.
… And that brings me to the third (3rd) Story – The Story of my Conversion (DMC NOTES: Pastor E.A Adeboye).
As you are aware, I was a Mathematician, by the Grace of God – A very good one; at least so I thought.
And then I had a Problem that Mathematics couldn’t solve.
Someone introduced me to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) – I had seen the Church before, by a Lagoon at Ebute-Meta.
I mean, in those days if I went to Church, it has to be either a Cathedral or the University Chapel – It has to be you know, up there!
And then I came to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). And I was the most Educated Person among the People – Majority of the People were either market women or People in similar category.
When I got there and they asked me to surrender my Life to Jesus Christ, I laughed! “Tell me how much I must pay for you to Pray and get my Problems solved; My friends should not even see me here.”
Until one day, like a day like this;
when God decided at long last, let’s put an end to the sorrows, the headaches, the burden of this stupid Academia.
And I came to my senses – These People are illiterates, they don’t know Greek, they don’t know anything. I looked at their faces and there was Peace.
And it came to my mind: they are not asking me to surrender to the Church, they are asking me to surrender to God.
And as ‘stupid’ as I was then, I still believed that it’s God who made me.
I came to my senses, I surrendered my Life to Jesus Christ.
That happened in 1973; and as a result of that – saying bye bye to my Pride, that’s why we are still here today. Halleluyah!
That is why I feel that I must appeal to you today to also surrender your Life Genuinely to Jesus Christ.
Because this Convention is going to be different – Amen!
☆ Mountains are going to be moved – Amen.
☆ Incredible things are going to begin to happen – Amen!
But won’t it be a shame if you came and you are here from Opening Night and you begin to hear Testimonies, even as from tomorrow (Day 3). And at the end of it all, you look at yourself and you say, what happened? Did God lie?
Because there’s one thing about Pride: Proud People never know that they are Proud – They never even believe.
But if God has been talking to you tonight through the little bit that I have shared with you.
You might have noticed that there are still little areas of Pride left in your Life. And yet God wants to move you from Grass to Grace.
So the Choice is yours!
ALTAR CALL
I. If you have not yet surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ, do so tonight.
II. If you believe you are already a Child of God but you know that if you are not going to deceive yourself, you are still Proud in one area or the other; you need to cry to God tonight and get rid of that Mountain before we begin to talk of moving other Mountains.
And I am sure, even if you don’t remember any other Message throughout this Convention, you would be grateful to God that at least you have heard this one or read this Message now on the Label of DMC.
So if have not yet given your Life to Jesus Christ; you have never even surrendered to Him at all, come now!
Come to the Altar – Let’s cry to the Almighty God, that Jesus Christ will come and take over your Life completely; and every other thing will follow.
If you have given your Life to Him and now you are realizing there are areas of Pride that you need to deal with; it might be a good idea – You may even stay where you are in your seat and talk to Him about Pride.
So those of you who want to give your Life to Jesus Christ, begin to come now.
I’m going to count from one (1) to twenty (20).
Come quickly so we can Pray to together and so that God can save your Soul and things can Change.
I’m counting now….
Do you know it is Pride that does not allow you to clap? You feel you are too ‘Big’ to do so.
Alright! Cry to the Almighty God and say LORD; I surrender my Life to You completely.
From now on whatever You want me to do, that’s what I will do.
Forgive all my sins, take over completely.
Come and be my LORD, come and be my Saviour and I will do Your Will from this moment onwarfs.
And the rest of us, Please stretch your hands towards these People, and Pray that the One who saved your Soul would save their own Souls also.
Go ahead, Pray for them!
Hallelujah.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
PRAYER FOR SALVATION
Almighty God, I want to Thank You very much for Your Word.
I want to Thank You for all these People who have surrendered their lives to You tonight.
They have humbled themselves tonight to surrender to You.
Please, receive them in Jesus’ Name.
Have Mercy on them, in Jesus’ Name.
Let Your Blood wash away their sins.
Save their Souls O LORD.
Let them become true Children of God.
Write their names in the Book of Life.
And Lord God Almighty, beginning from now whenever they cry on to You, answer them by Fire.
Everything they need so that when they ask any Mountain to move the Mountain will move; give unto them!
And let them serve You till the end.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Okay! Those of you who have just surrendered your Life to Jesus, let me hear you shout Halleluyah – Halleluyah.
I rejoice with you for being the First Fruits of this Convention.
The Almighty God will take Special Pleasure in you, in Jesus’ Name.
And I can assure you that from now on, by the Grace of God, I’ll be Praying for you.
So I’ll need your names, your Address and your Prayer Requests.
Congratulations!
One more time, shout Halleluyah – Halleluyah!
PERSONAL PRAYER
Now, the rest of us, between you and God; I want you to go to Him in Prayer and say:
Lord, help me: Every area of Pride in my Life, help me deal with it tonight. So that I can move from Grass to Grace for the rest of my Life.
Shall we go ahead and Pray!
Just talk to God quietly.
Open your mouth and tell Him: I know I have a Problem in this area of my Life; when it comes to Pride I still have some Problems.
I have some Problems, thinking I can do anything without You.
I have some Problems thinking that I am not quite sure that You can see; I am not quite sure that You can hear.
I seem to have some Problems Lord, when I cry out for Your Mercy You answered my Prayers:
It is not because I know how to Pray.
*That Mountain called Pride, put an end to it in my Life – Move that Mountain of Pride away;
So that I can have Your full backing, Your full support in every areas of my Life.
Thank You Father.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
… I am about to Pray for you now.
Will you kindly stand up on your feet?
CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God I want to Thank You.
I want to Thank You for Your Word.
And I want to Thank You for Your Precious People who have heard that Message, inclusive all those reading now on the Label of DMC – and are taking it very seriously;
Father, help us! Help us to see ourselves.
It is when Isaiah saw You that he realized that he who thought he was a great National Prophet even had unclean lips.
Please Lord, reveal ourselves to us tonight!
And send help to us.
That Mountain called Pride, get rid of it, in Jesus’ Name.
Your Children will be Praying in a while.
They will be Praying with Humility like they have never done before;
As they Pray, let Fire Fall!
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
PERSONAL PRAYER REQUEST
Now, you are going to go to the Almighty God with boldness.
I’m believing God that the Mountain of Pride has been moved.
So you will go to Him on the basis of His Word, that if you surrender completely to God, you would resist the devil and the devil would run away from you.
So you would lift your voice to the Almighty God and say: Father, I decree in Your Name; that Mountain called Pride, you will never come near me again.
Go ahead, talk to the Almighty God.
And He will grant your Request.
