OPENING PRAYER
Ancient of Days, we Your Children are saying Good Morning Lord: Thank You for watching over us while we slept.
Thank You for Your Mercy that is renewed every Morning.
Thank You for yesterday (Day 1 Holy Communion Service), Thank You in advance for today and Thank You because we know our tomorrow would be alright.
Please, accept our Worship, in Jesus’ Name – Amen.
Father, it is a New Day; for all of us let it be a New Beginning of Joy, of Victory, of Anointing, of Power, of Miracles, Signs and Wonders.
Let it be a New Beginning for us, for our homes, for Your Church and for Nigeria – Let it be a New Beginning!
At the end of it all, let Your Name be Glorified.
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
Well, let Somebody shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.

We go Straight to our Talk two (2):
2 Kings 2:9-15
9 And it came to pass, when they were gone over, that Elijah said unto Elisha, Ask what I shall do for thee, before I be taken away from thee. And Elisha said, I pray thee, let a double portion of thy spirit be upon me.
10 And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
11 And it came to pass, as they still went on, and talked, that, behold, there appeared a chariot of fire, and horses of fire, and parted them both asunder; and Elijah went up by a whirlwind into heaven.
12 And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the chariot of Israel, and the horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces.
13 He took up also the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and went back, and stood by the bank of Jordan;
14 And he took the mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? and when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over.
15 And when the sons of the prophets which were to view at Jericho saw him, they said, The spirit of Elijah doth rest on Elisha. And they came to meet him, and bowed themselves to the ground before him.
PROMOTED FOR A PURPOSE
We are discussing “Promoted for a Purpose.”
And the Bible says in Proverbs 13:20 – He that walketh with Wise Men shall be Wise: but a Companion of fools shall be destroyed.
When I became Born Again I decided to Study certain People in the Bible very, very intently because I wanted to be like them.
You want to be like a Wise Man? Then walk with the Wise.
You want to be Great? Study the Great and find out what makes him Great.
- MOSES:
So I Studied Moses, which we discussed briefly yesterday.
Of course you know the reason anybody would want to Study Moses is that, he was one of the Greatest People in the Bible – He is recognised among the Christians, among the Muslims (Anabi Musa) and of course among the Jews (DMC NOTES: Called Moishe).
Why did I Study Moses? Because I know that he is a Child of Destiny – You know the Story very well. If you read Exodus Chapters 1 and 2, before Moses was born, death was waiting for him.
And there are many of us like that here today or reading now on the Label of DMC – The very Ground on which we were delivered when we were born, germs of all types were waiting.
Like I said, some of us, there was no Doctor waiting, no Trained Midwife. When many of us arrived, it is one rusty knife that was used to cut our umbilical cord. It’s one dirty rag that they used to tie it. Tetanus would have killed us. But God Preserved us.
How many of you know what I am talking about?
When we were Young, if we were sick, say Malaria Fever for example; they poured you all kinds of concoction (without dosage). The more they gave you the thing, the better.
When your Temperature is boiling hot, your mother thinks the best thing to do is wrap you at her back – Wrapped with the thickest cloth she can get so that you can get hotter (laugher).
Many of us would have died from overheating;
Apart from the fact that we were born into a Compound that there were Witches and Wizards, and they had a glimpse of your future – A glimpse of what you are going to become; and yet God didn’t allow them to kill you.
How many Children of Destiny are here? Let me hear you shout Hallelujah – Hallelujah.
… I studied Moses.
- ELIJAH:
I Studied Elijah because, first of all I like his Power – You mess around with him he will call down Fire heavily upon you.
And if you are living in Nigeria, you need that kind of Power – Anybody tries to stop you on the way, you call down Fire (laugher).
But I love Elijah because he was a Nobody who became Somebody – 1 Kings 17:1 introduces Elijah to us: Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead,
They didn’t mention his father’s name. Even though they mentioned the name of the father of Bartimaeus – “Bartimaeus the son of Timaeus”; the father of a blind beggar was more important than the father of Elijah.
Elijah was a Nobody among Nobodies – He was a Nobody, yet God used him. Alright!
If there is a Prophet somebody should fall in love with, it is Elijah.
I mean, that man rode a Divine Chariot to Heaven.
How important can you be, that you come to Town and the President send his car to go and get you?
I Studied Elijah for three (3) solid years – Everything written about him I studied because I know God can make something out of a Nobody.
Maybe when you read Genesis 2:7, you’ll understand – And the LORD God formed Man of the dust of the Ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of Life; and man became a Living Soul.
It was God who breathed on an “Ordinary Dust” and dust became a Living Soul.
And what is the Price of a Soul? The Word of God makes it clear, all the Wealth in the world cannot buy a Soul.
“Ordinary Dust” became something so Precious, no amount of money can buy.
It was after Studying Elijah for Three (3) years that suddenly, I realised that maybe I should Study Elisha too: because he got a Double Portion of the Spirit of Elijah.
If Elijah was Great, then there is something about Elisha.
Why Elisha? Several reasons.
But when I Studied Moses, I discovered something about him – God said concerning Moses in Numbers 12:5-8;
And he said, Hear now my words: If there be a Prophet among you, I the LORD will make myself known unto him in a Vision, and will speak unto him in a Dream. My Servant Moses is not so, who is Faithful in all mine house. With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in Dark Speeches; and the similitude of the LORD shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my Servant Moses?
I wanted that if I ever become a Prophet, my Prophecies would not be “Guess Work” – I wanted to be able to hear directly from the mouth of God Himself, and repeat it the way.
He said it. I wanted to be able to say, “there’s someone here…” And then reveal a Secret Nobody can ever know.
Like it happened one day in Ibadan years ago – We had a Holy Ghost Service, just as we were Closing, God said, “there is a woman here, under her armpits are feathers.”
And you can’t guess that! You have to know that you know.
Then God told me that if the woman would come forward He would put an end to the Problem. Because, every night before Morning feathers would grow under armpits of the woman. And she would wake up and pluck them off very quickly before her husband wakes up, so that he won’t see it.
When God said that, I said Daddy, we have had a wonderful time, let’s go home now. Because I know, if we say somebody here has that Problem – Yes, the Person is there; but to ask the fellow to come out in the Stadium with full Light on, the fellow is not going to come out. And everybody is going to say I am a False Prophet.
Daddy said to me, do you want the woman to die with her Problem? I said No! I don’t want to be guilty of that. So I announced it.
Some of the People here today or reading now on the Label of DMC were there that day:
When the woman came forward I asked her: did you hear what I said? When she spoke, she spoke Queen’s English – She was not an illiterate.
Whatever Problem you are hiding under your dress, may my Father remove it today – Amen.
I didn’t want to be an Ordinary Prophet, that’s why I keep telling People, I am a Pastor; but that I hear from God once in a while.
And I love Moses because God revealed to him things that happened before he was born – Where was Moses when God said, “Let there be Light, and there was Light?”
How did he know? Who wrote the History? Who knew the History that started before God said, let there be Light? God told Moses everything in the Book of Genesis, Particularly Genesis Chapter 1.
And I like Elijah, like I’ve told you, I discovered something about Elijah: Elijah was what I would call “God’s Yes Man” – Whatever God said, Yes Lord!
- Go and speak to the King. Yes Lord!
- Come out of the Palace, go to Cherith I have Commanded birds to meet you there. Yes Lord!
- Leave Cherith, go to the house of a Widow with a little boy as the only fellow in the house. Yes Lord!
A Prophet to go and live in the house of a Widow? When People pass early in the Morning, they see you coming out of the house of a Widow and they ask, “is this early Morning visit?” No, I live here now (laugher) – Prophet of Holiness.
I discovered early in my Christian Life: You will reach the top if you just keep on saying Yes Lord, to God – Whatever He says, Yes Lord!
That is why I don’t argue with those who know the Bible from Greek, Hebrew, etc – Thank you very much: all I know is, if He asks me to sit down, I will sit down, if He asks me to jump, I would say, how high? I discovered that about Elijah.
- ELISHA:
Then I Studied Elisha.
If you are looking for an example of Someone who was Promoted for a Purpose, you can hardly find a better example then Elisha.
THINGS TO KNOW ABOUT ELISHA
… Maybe you too want to know a little bit about Elisha:
- He Loved Spiritual Things more than Material.
In 1 Kings 19:19-21, that is where we were first introduced to him – The son of a Farmer (like myself).
So he departed thence, and found Elisha the son of Shaphat, who was Plowing with twelve yoke of oxen before him, and he with the twelfth: and Elijah passed by him, and cast his Mantle upon him. And he left the oxen, and ran after Elijah, and said, Let me, I Pray thee, kiss my father and my mother, and then I will follow thee. And he said unto him, Go back again: for what have I done to thee?
He forsook all and followed this Man who didn’t have a house, and became his Servant.
- He was Loyal:
Not only to his Master that he called father; he was loyal to his God.
When God was going to take Elijah away, three (3) times his Master told him, you’ve done enough, you can stay here now. He said, No Sir: as long as you are still breathing, we are still together – He was loyal.
And the Bible says in Revelation 2:10 – Be thou Faithful unto death, and I will give thee a Crown of Life.
I discovered something about Elisha which I want to talk to you about: “The Greatest Secret of Elisha”.
Just like Elijah was “God’s Yes Man” and Moses was a man so Close to God that God spoke to him mouth to mouth;
The Greatest Secret of Elisha is “The Power of his Eyes” – He saw!
THE POWER OF YOUR EYES.
Your two (2) pair of eyes can determine your Future – Either for Good or for Bad.
So I decided to do a little bit of Study on:
- What the eyes can do.
- How the eyes can determine whether your Hardest Prayer will be answered or not.
Because his Master said, “if you can see me…”
And the Bible says, Elisha saw!
When you read Genesis 3:1-6, you would discovered that the “Original Sin” came because a woman saw.
The devil told Eve, eat the fruit my friend, and you will become like God. And the Bible says, Eve saw that the fruit was beautiful. And because it was beautiful and good to look at, she ate.
I Pray for you, that which you would see, that would bring Destruction upon you and your Generations; from today onwards, you won’t even see it – Amen.
In Genesis 13:5-11, when Abraham said to Lot, don’t let us quarrel: Is not the whole Land before thee? Separate thyself, I Pray thee, from me: if thou wilt take the left hand, then I will go to the right; or if thou depart to the right hand, then I will go to the left. And Lot lifted up his eyes, and beheld all the Plain of Jordan, that it was well watered every where, before the LORD destroyed Sodom and Gomorrah, even as the Garden of the LORD, like the Land of Egypt, as thou comest unto Zoar.
Lot chose Zoar, in the direction of the Cities of sin. And at the end of the day, when he was leaving Sodom and Gomorrah, he couldn’t take anything with him.
Joshua 7:1-end tells us the Story of the Man called Achan – The man who violated the Laws of God and brought calamity upon the whole Nation of Israel.
When they finally caught him and they said, Achan, what happened?
And Achan answered Joshua, and said, Indeed I have sinned against the LORD God of Israel, and thus and thus have I done: When I saw among the spoils a Goodly Babylonish Garment, and two hundred shekels of Silver, and a wedge of Gold of fifty shekels weight, then I coveted them, and took them; and, behold, they are hid in the Earth in the midst of my Tent, and the Silver under it – DMC NOTES: Joshua 7: 20-21.
You have to see before you covet.
Despite the fact that God said, Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour’s wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour’s – DMC NOTES: Exodus 20:7; many Pastors are in trouble today because they are coveting other Pastors.
One way or the other a Pastor had a Miracle from God – Let’s call it that Somebody brought a car for him and another Pastor saw it and said: We were Ordained the same day. Now this Man is driving a car. Okay, we would do something about it.
From now on I will report only 10% of the Tithes, 5% of Offering.
Wait till next year, when I am coming for the Ministers Conference, I will come in my own car.
… And the Anointing will go out through the Window.
You know what happened to Achan – They killed him, and killed every Members of his family:
And Joshua, and all Israel with him, took Achan the son of Zerah, and the silver, and the garment, and the wedge of gold, and his sons, and his daughters, and his oxen, and his asses, and his sheep, and his tent, and all that he had: and they brought them unto the valley of Achor. And they raised over him a great heap of stones unto this day. So the LORD turned from the fierceness of his anger. Wherefore the name of that place was called, The valley of Achor, unto this day – DMC NOTES: Joshua 7: 24-26
How can you burn somebody who is already dead? He died, and died again!
And of course, you know the Story of Samson – That Mighty Man, filled with the Holy Spirit from the mother’s womb.
What destroyed him? His eyes! He kept on seeing Strange women.
That’s why the when enemies finally caught him, the first thing they did was to pluck out his eyes – The eyes that were always seeing what should not be seen.
I was telling some People not too long ago when they said Delilah killed Samson. I said, Delilah only buried him – He was already dead.
A Man of God who was always going to another town to meet harlots: he was already dead.
What killed him? His eyes!
What about David?
When you read 2 Samuel Chapters 11 and 12, David that God said, I love this boy, he is a man after my heart: he will do everything I command him.
He saw a woman bathing and you know the rest of the Story. He used his Position, “I am the King go and bring that woman.” Before he knew it the woman was Pregnant. And then David went ahead, arranged for the husband to come back from the battle front, got him drunk.
When the man refused to compromise, he gave him a Letter (a Death Sentence). The man carried the Letter to the one who would execute it.
… All because he saw!
And God had to Pronounce a curse on David; that is still working till today – That is why you can’t find a whole year when there is no trouble in Israel.
But then, when you look at the eyes again, you would discover that they can be your Opener to Blessings.
In Genesis 13:14-18; God said to Abraham, after that Lot was separated from him, Lift up now thine eyes, and look from the Place where thou art Northward, and Southward, and Eastward, and Westward: For all the Land which thou seest, to thee will I give it, and to thy Seed for ever.
In 2 Kings 2:9-6, And he said, Thou hast asked a hard thing: nevertheless, if thou see me when I am taken from thee, it shall be so unto thee; but if not, it shall not be so.
It means that what happens to you depends on what you are focusing on.
After all the Bible says in Hebrews 12:2, Looking unto Jesus the Author and Finisher of our Faith;
Colossians 3:1-3, Set your affection on things above, not on things on the Earth.
… Your eyes!
That’s why in 1 John 2:15-17 the Bible says, Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.
Anything Material that you didn’t bring to the Earth, you are not going to take along with you when you leave this world.
Elisha teaches us a Lesson: Be careful what you focus on because that is what is going to determine how you’ll end up.
By the Grace of God I have never begged God for anything Material since I became Born Again – “Oh GOD help me get some new dress; let someone come and dash me a car.” Never!
Elisha was Promoted.
There were many Sons of the Prophets, so many Ministers who were so close to God, they could know what God was about to do.
Three (3) times they told Elisha:
I. “Papa’s son, everywhere Papa goes you go, as if you are the only one among us.
II. Papa is going today.
III. Then we will see what will happen to you.”
He told them, you think I don’t know? Mind your own business!
Out of the many Sons of the Prophets he was Promoted.
Let me ask a very difficult Question – Out of all of us here, inclusive those reading now on the Label of DMC; if God is to choose one (1) fellow out of all of us, who is that fellow going to be?
I know it’s a difficult Question.
Promotion comes from God, and when He decides that He is going to Promote somebody, Nobody can query Him.
But take Note of one thing: God does as He Pleases.
But God is not Arbitrary – He never does anything without a Purpose.
THE REASON WHY GOD PROMOTED ELISHA
The main reason is that Elisha had no Private Agenda.
And Elisha saw it, and he cried, My father, my father, the Chariot of Israel, and the Horsemen thereof. And he saw him no more: and he took hold of his own clothes, and rent them in two pieces – DMC NOTES: 2 Kings 2:12
He was consumed by whatever his father (Elijah) was consumed with.
When he was to cross the Jordan: And he took the Mantle of Elijah that fell from him, and smote the waters, and said, Where is the LORD God of Elijah? And when he also had smitten the waters, they parted hither and thither: and Elisha went over – DMC NOTES: 2 Kings 2:14
Some People like to criticize – One of the criticism about me is that, when People want to Testify and they say, “we called on the God of Adeboye and this and that happened.” They say to me, why don’t you silence them? They didn’t call on Adeboye! Adeboye is a Nobody.
Believe it or not, Adeboye is a man just like every man – I eat Pounded yam. Just make sure the soup is very good.
Because some funny People say, “the reason he is Performing Miracles is because he doesn’t eat.”
I said, is that so?
Invite me to your house, Prepare Pounded yam, make sure you have combination okra soup and get bush meat. Right there in your Dinning Room, the thing will become Valley, and you will see the Glory of God (Laughter).
I am a Nobody, I fall asleep even while Praying – In case you think this fellow must be somebody.
But I have a God – Hallelujah!
Elisha said, “Where is the LORD God of my father, Elijah?”
That’s why God answered him. He said, I am a farmer’s boy, but I am called to follow someone so important, that God could take him home by a Whirlwind.
Elisha had no Private Agenda – When his father Elijah was taken away, he tore his own Garment.
Meaning, whatever was mine is over! I grab that which belonged to my father.
Don’t be surprised, there might be somebody here today or reading now on the Label of DMC, this is their last time with RCCG because the fellow has already heard from God to go and start his own Ministry – We see them everyday.
And before they tell you, they’ve been Planning. And they are going to start the New Ministry with the money they stole.
That’s why I always Pray for them, so that whatever happens later on they won’t say I caused it.
Jesus said in Matthew 26:42, Thy Will be done.
And in John 5:30, He said, I seek not my own Will: I just want to do whatever my Father asks me to do.
That is one Major reason why Elisha was Promoted – He had no Private Agenda.
THE PURPOSE ELISHA WAS PROMOTED
Today before you go, God is going to Anoint your Specially – Amen.
One of the Major Purposes for which Elisha was Promoted was so that he can become Blessing.
A tree does not eat the fruit it Produces.
Is that correct?
Have you ever seen a Mango tree eating Mango? No! Trees don’t eat the fruits they Produce -They Produce fruits for others.
Elisha was Promoted so that with his Anointing he can begin to Destroy Yokes:
The Special Anointing God is going to release on you during this Ministers Conference, is so that you can go and begin to destroy Yokes – Amen.
- The Yoke of Curses:
Because, as soon as Elisha got back to Jericho in 2 Kings 2:19-21; the first thing the People said to him was, our City is beautiful but the water is not: There are lots of Sicknesses, and Deaths.
And he said, Bring me a new cruse, and put salt therein. And they brought it to him. And he went forth unto the Spring of the waters, and cast the salt in there, and said, Thus saith the LORD, I have healed these waters; there shall not be from thence any more death or barren Land – DMC NOTES: 2 Kings 2: 19-22.
Go back to your City, decree upon that City and say – In the Name of the One who made Heaven and Earth I decree: No more Sickness, no more Death, no more Failure!
Remember, I told you yesterday (Day 1 of the Conference) to be a man and a woman of Faith.
Is it not written in Job 22:28, Thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee?
And now you are being sent to do it anyway!
Jesus said, as my Father in Heaven has sent me, so send I you.
You’ve Probably heard the Testimony of one Great Minister of God – In his Village an important Person must die every year. He came to me and said, Daddy Please, you have to come to my Village. And one way or the other we managed to get to the Village.
The whole Village and all Neighbouring Villages gathered, and we decreed.
Oh! That’s all we did – We just decreed. It’s going to almost four (4) years now, no Single fellow has died in that town.
So I am decreeing through you that in your various towns and villages, No More Death – Amen.
That whatever has been running through the families over there shall be destroyed today – Amen.
That’s the first thing you must do when you get home, before you go to sleep – Decree upon your Town, Village, City. Let the Anointing destroy curses.
- The Yoke of Poverty:
The Anointing on Elisha was to destroy Yokes of Poverty.
You know the Story in 2 Kings 4:1-7 – There was a wife of one of the Sons of the Prophets who was so Poor that Creditors had come to sell her sons, because there was nothing else they could sell. And she ran to Elisha.
Elisha did not give her money but he released his Anointing to Multiply the Oil in the house of that Widow.
The Creditors threatened that, “if you don’t get our money ready by tomorrow, we will sell your children.”
Before the day was over, the Widow called the Creditors and said, come and take your money.
And she had enough to live on for the rest of her Life.
My Daddy is going to release Anointing on you that would destroy Poverty around you – Amen.
Your various Churches would begin to Prosper so Mightily, People will begin to ask you, “how do you do it?” – Amen!
A Great Man of this Land was talking to me not too long ago – He said Daddy, Pray for us, our People here are Poor: And because they are Poor, their Offering is Poor. He said, we want to do Great Things for God. And I decreed!
I am decreeing again now: Poverty will become a Stranger to you – Amen.
But then, you have to go back home and do what I taught you yesterday (Day 1 of the Conference) – Tell them the way out of Poverty.
- Yokes of Reproach:
You know 2 Kings 5:2-14 tells you the Story of Naaman.
Naaman was Successful, a Great General, Popular with his King. But he was a Leper! He had a Problem that could not be hidden.
There are many People in your Congregation with Problems they can’t hide:
I. There are Sisters who should be married by now, but there are no husbands.
II. There are those who have been working on the same Level all these years and there has been no Promotion.
III. There are those who for one reason or the other, People are beginning to ask: Where is this God that you are serving?
With the Anointing that the Almighty God would release on you, go and destroy the Yokes of Reproach – Amen.
- Yokes of Barrenness (in Particular):
In 2 Kings 4:8-27, you know about the Great Woman of Shunem.
When you Study that Story very well, you would discovered that if you serve God the way you should, He would bless you in such a manner that when the rich People ask you to come and eat, you would tell them, “I don’t need your food.”
I know a time s coming, when you go to anybody’s house to eat, the fellow would be dancing for Joy – Amen.
Why? Because they know it’s not you they are blessing; it’s themselves who are receiving the blessing.
They would look at you and say: This fellow doesn’t need anything that he comes to eat in my house; it is a great honour.
I remember one day some years ago in one of the Universities – I go to Universities regularly to Minister.
Of course, the University Community would arrange feeding.
Then one Professor one way or the other got Permission that I should come and eat in his house.
He was my former Vice Chancellor – The Period he was a Vice Chancellor, I was a Student in the University.
In those days, when a Vice Chancellor is coming Lecturers run; not to talk of Students – Not now a days!
And I got into his house to eat. I mean, he was old enough to be my father. Yet you could see him jumping up and down like a small school boy – “Ha!! Pastor Adeboye has come to my house to eat.” Glory be to God – Hallelujah!
I decree to somebody here today or reading now on the Label of DMC; from now on, any house you go to would be Blessed – Amen.
The Shunamite Woman compelled Elisha to come and eat – “Come and eat in my house Man of God.”
The Man of God said, the Lord is my Shepherd, I shall not want. I don’t need your food.
This woman was stubbornly good – She said to the Man of God, you are not going until you come to my house and eat. You know the Story.
Elisha went there, tasted the food, “this is different from the kind of food that ravens brought to my father (Elijah).
And everytime he was passing he would say Sister, how are you today? And Sister would say, Lunch is ready.
The Man of God was going so frequently, the woman said to her husband, let’s build him a house.
And one day the Spirit of God said to Elisha, you’ve been eating this woman’s food, sleeping on the bed that she made for you, and you have never asked her, “what is your Need?”
… Can this woman have a Need? Find out!
Then the Man of God discovered that she has no child.
Thank God, I can give her something money can’t buy – You know the rest of the Story.
I am Praying for you today that by the time you leave here, you will be able to say to anybody in need: “Silver and Gold I may not have, but I have something money cannot buy” – Amen.
So your Anointing is to make Great Greater!
She was a Great woman, but she was incomplete.
That is why you must not limit your Witnessing to only the Poor – We are to Preach the Gospel to the Poor, so that they will cease to be Poor. But you are also to Minister to the High and Mighty because they need your help.
Let me tell you the Truth: Many of these People you see who are rich and wealthy, they have Problems – They have the kind of Problems you don’t have.
I have told you this Story before: One day I went to Minister in one of my big friends’ house. And I had to spend the Night, because we went far into the Night Studying the Bible. So he asked me to wait for breakfast.
Well, it is good to eat breakfast in a rich man’s house – So let’s see how it would happen.
And then the Cook came to him and said Sir, what would you have for breakfast? And they began to go back and forth: when did I eat that one last?
Finally he settled for bread and egg, after about fifteen (15) Minutes.
Then came the Question: How do you want your egg fried: Omelette, Poshed, Sunny Side up, Medium boiled, rare? Finally he decided, Medium rare.
Then the Question: How many Minutes in boiling water?
And I was sitting down hungry (laughter).
After almost thirty (30) Minutes, the man finally decided what he would eat for breakfast because there’s so much!
Finally, the Cook turned to me and said Sir, what would eat? I said anything you have. He said bread and egg. I said, that’s wonderful. How do you want your egg? What about Spanish Pepper! I said Fine! What do you want with t? I said, everything! How many eggs? I said, how many can you afford?
I know there’s someone here or reading this Message now on the Label of DMC – You don’t have all the money yet, but you have appetite. Let me hear you shout hallelujah – Hallelujah.
These so called “Big People” have Problems – Minister to them. They need Jesus.
Most of them need Jesus more than the so called “Poor People”.
Many of us, as soon as we hit the bed, we are gone!
There are People like me – I can sleep Standing Up.
Some People would have to take all manners of drugs and even with that, they can’t sleep two (2) hours.
But the Bible says in Psalms 127:2 – It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep.
The ability to sleep is a blessing.
Minister not only to the Poor; Minister to the High and Mighty – They need your Anointing.
- To Help those in Authority:
Your Anointing is to help even your Rulers.
In 2 Kings 6:8-12, the Bible tells us how many times a King laid traps for the King of Israel; and Elisha would say to him, don’t pass that way, the enemy is laying an ambush for you.
The People in Authority need your Anointing – Pray for them.
I. There are some Problems that no Human Being can solve.
II. There are some Problems that you have and you need God to intervene.
And because you are God’s Minister, He hears you, and He will answer your Prayers.
- To Assist your Disciples:
As Ministers, you are Promoted to assist your Disciples (Your Workers).
In 2 Kings 6:15-17, when the King of Syria sent an Army to go and arrest Elisha and the Servant of Elisha saw that they were surrounded by an Army; he said Master, we are in trouble.
Elisha said to him, don’t worry, those who are with us are more than those who are with them.
The Young boy said Sir, you haven’t seen what I saw outside – There is an Army out there. And whichever way I count it: one, two. Or two, one; there are only two of us here.
The Man of God said, God Please open his eyes.
The Anointing you would receive is not for you alone, it must flow down to your Workers – The Choir Members, the Ushers, etc.
You must learn to Pray for these People:
- If your Choir is not Performing very well, Pray for them. And suddenly God will give them voices like that of Angels.
- If you are having Problems with your Workers, Pray for them, and they would become as loyal as Elisha was to Elijah.
- Pray for the Ushers, that God would give them Strong legs and make them very useful.
In John 17:1-9, when the Lord Jesus was Praying the Night before He died.
He said: I am not Praying for the world, I am Praying for these People You’ve given me.
Pray for your Disciples – Pray that God would open their eyes so that they would be seeing what you are seeing.
If they see what you see, you won’t have to beg them to help.
Several years ago, I shared some Visions with my children in the United Kingdom – And we were very small then.
I told them, one day the Royal Family would come and Worship with us.
Of course, they laughed!
We were very few; and Majority of us were illegal Immigrants – And you are saying the Royal Family will come and Worship in your Church.
I have said a lot of things that People have laughed about because they were “Too Big” to be believed.
But do you know that the Current King – The New one of the Throne now; when he turned Sixty (60) and they wanted to Celebrate his Birthday, he came to the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG). Out of all the Big Cathedrals he said, this is where I am going.
Several years ago, at the Redemption Camp when we were very small – I mean when we were still in the First Auditorium of 100 Meters by 50 Meters; I told my People God said that Presidents of Nigeria would be coming to our Camp to Worship.
They laughed! Because in those days, it was one Muslim Leader after the other – Military Government.
Those were the days when we held the Convention and throughout we would Slaughter ten (10) cows, and we would say we had a big Convention – Saying, we ate ten (10) cows!
Now, only God knows how many trailers bring cows before the Convention.
I told my People, let us build a house where Presidents can stay, because I know who told me.
Well, they could not disobey me – So we built what we call a Presidential Lodge; and it is still there.
Years followed, no President came – Not even a Governor or a Local Government Chairman. (Laughter).
And my close friends gathered together one day and said, we did understand: That house he asked us to build for Presidents, he is our President; he is the one who should be living there.
So they came to me Sir, so that the Presidential Lodge is not vacant, maybe you should move in now.
I told them, Presidents are coming.
… And now they have come – Hallelujah!
I don’t want you to bother a bit – If there is any Promise God has made you that has not been fulfilled yet; because today is marking a New Beginning (Amen).
… Assist your Disciples, let them see what you are seeing.
Some of you may think, now we have a Camp Ground in Jos (Plateau State) now; and then you hear we are buying more Land.
You say “what do we need more Land for?
Look at us now, even this Auditorium is not filled.
It is not for today – I am looking forward to that time when the Mass Choir alone would be more than all of us.
How many of you can see it happening? The DMC Family Members!
God will open your eyes to see – Amen.
Let me close, because with your Anointing, you are to:
- Prophesy the Future of your Nation:
By the time Elisha was about to die in 2 Kings 13:14-19, he was telling the King (who was calling him Daddy), this and that would happen.
By the way, Mighty People will call you Daddy and Mummy – Amen.
You should be able to Prophesy the future of Nigeria.
The devil has a rough idea of where God is taking Nigeria to – Now, the Nigeria Passport is one of the worse Passports in the world; but don’t worry;
A time is coming, when you go Abroad and you show the Green Passport, everybody would want to touch you – Amen.
Because they know if you are from Nigeria, you Probably would have had Contact with Somebody whose God answer Prayers – And so they would want to touch you.
I Prayed a Prayer I want you to Pray this Morning before I Pray for you.
You see, in 1 Corinthians 12:31, the Bible says: But covet earnestly the best Gifts:
One thing I love about Elisha was that he Prayed a hard Prayer – He said to his Master, I want a Double Portion of your Spirit.
That boy was greedy for Power.
Because a Single Portion of the Spirit of Elijah brought down Fire from Heaven three (3) times:
- On Mount Carmel he Prayed for less than two (2) Minutes, Fire fell.
- The Second time, Fifty (50) Soldiers and a Captain came, saw him sitting on a Mountain top enjoying himself, having Fellowship with God. They said, Man of God come down!
You know I am a Man of God and you say that to me? He said, if I be a Man of God, let Fire descend. And Fire came down.
When you talk about a Man who is Untouchable; a Man who is Unstoppable – That was Elijah.
- Another group of Fifty (50) Soldiers and a Captain came, he roasted them.
The Man who told the Heavens to be shut and it was shut for almost three and half (3½) years.
Yet this Boy Elisha said, “that is not enough for me, I want Double!”
That’s why Elijah said Boy, you’ve asked for a hard thing.
Some of you have heard me say that once upon a time I cried to God that I wanted Double Portion of the Spirit of: Elijah, of Elisha, of Peter and the Spirit of the Lord Jesus Christ when He was here on Earth;
Add everything together and double it.
That’s what I told God. And He said Son, you have asked for a hard thing.
I said, I covet earnestly the best Gifts. He said, they won’t let you rest. I said, I don’t care.
I should have been more careful then – That’s why I’m not yet resting at Eighty Two (82) years.
I am going to join my Faith with yours – But I want you to ask God for a hard thing.
Don’t ask for Material Things: Ask for Anointing, ask for Power.
I will give you five (5) Minutes to cry to the Almighty God and say: Lord God Almighty; I want that amount of Power and Anointing, so that I can shake the world for You Lord.
That’s what I am asking for today: I want to be doing Mighty Things for You, that when the world hear, they would shake.
Thank You Jesus. In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God, I Thank You for Your Word and Thank You for Your Children.
This Morning my Father, I hereby decree to everyone of you who are True Ministers of God:
That Anointing that would Destroy Yokes, receive now!
The Ability to decree an end to Curses, receive now!
The Ability to decree an end to Reproach, receive now!
The Ability to decree an end to Poverty, receive now!
The Ability to decree an end to Barrenness and all manners of Fruitless Efforts, receive now!
The Ability to make the Great Complete, receive now!
The Ability to become a Blessing to your Town, Village, State and Nation, receive now!
The Ability to have your “Hardest Prayer” answered, receive now!
So shall it be!
In Jesus’ Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
