If truly His Name is Wonderful in your life, I want you to open your mouth and Worship the Original ‘Kabiyesi’ (King) – The Everlasting Father, the King of Glory, the All Sufficient One, the One who was, the One who is and the One who will forever be!
The Only living God, the Only One that can part the Red Sea, the Only One that can turn situations around.
Open your mouth and tell Him: Father Divine I want to Worship You; I want to Honour You; I want to Adore You; I want to Celebrate You for who You Are. Lord I Bless Your Name (3c)!
Thank You because You are Excellent, You are Glorious, You are Powerful, You are Reliable; Thank You because You are my Redeemer, my Deliverer. Magnify Him!

OPENING PRAYER:
King of kings and the Lord of lords, the Almighty God, the All Powerful God, the All Sufficient God, we BOW down before Your Throne. Please, accept our THANKS in Jesus’ Name.
We are here tonight to hear Your voice; Father, send Your Words in the Name of Jesus!
Accomplish ALL that Your Word can do in our midst in the Name of Jesus!
Your Words can save; let there be Salvation. Your Words can heal; heal as many people that came with sicknesses, Your Words can deliver; set those under the oppression of enemies free.
Let there be JOY in the house in the Name of Jesus; May we never return the same. Thank You Blessed Redeemer; we Love and Appreciate You.
In Jesus’ Wonder Working Name we have Prayed -Amen!
All Glory be to the King of kings, and the Lord of lords, who has given me the privilege to be alive today.
And I want to celebrate my father and my mother in the Lord, for this Unique opportunity to stand here: I don’t take it for granted. May your Oil never run dry, in Jesus’ Name – Amen!
Tonight, we are continuing with the TOPIC: “LET THERE BE LIGHT”.
For as many as will PRAY tonight; for as many as will open up their hearts to God tonight, the Light of God will shine for you – Amen!
… It seems you didn’t hear me!
I said the Light of God will shine for you: There will be Light in your Lives, there will be Light in your Homes; there will be Light in your Ministries; there will be Light in your Businesses.
Everything around you will Command the Light of God, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
Tell Somebody: God is talking to me!
Say it very well – God is talking to me; there will be Light in my Life!
We are going to read
GENESIS 1:1-3;
1 In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.
2 And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters.
3 And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.
The same God is still speaking right now: LET THERE BE LIGHT!
All of us in Nigeria know NEPA, whenever there is Light out there is a common occurrence, people will begin to hiss!
There will be lost of Joy (particularly if it happens in the night); you are just glued to a spot – because any attempt to make Progress (to leave where you are) when there is Light out, can result to something fatal – You might injure yourself!
So nobody likes it when there is light out. The moment there is light out, everybody shouts “AH! NEPA” the whole environment become gloomy.
But the moment there is restoration of light, Joy is restored! You begin to hear “UP NEPA!” Everybody is happy – there is radiance.
… So what am I trying to say?
- Let There be Light means: LET THERE BE JOY (repeated!)
There will be JOY in your homes in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
The story of Hannah explains this for us in 1 Samuel 1:8-10;
8 Then said Elkanah her husband to her, Hannah, why weepest thou? and why eatest thou not? and why is thy heart grieved? am not I better to thee than ten sons?
9 So Hannah rose up after they had eaten in Shiloh, and after they had drunk. Now Eli the priest sat upon a seat by a post of the temple of the LORD.
10 And she was in bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the LORD, and wept sore.
I believed the Prayer Hannah was Praying that day (the Agonising Prayer); she was speaking to the heart of God:
“Let there be LIGHT; let me know JOY; let me CARRY Joy; let me EXPERIENCE Joy!”
I have been celebrating with others; let it be my turn to celebrate. Put an end to this sorrowful situation; put an end to this agony in my heart.
… Let there be LIGHT, let there be JOY for me!
No wonder in 1 Samuel 2:1; after the Lord has honoured her Prayer. After the Light of God has shone for her – she said in Verse 1 of Chapter 2;
“And Hannah Prayed and said my heart rejoiceth in the Lord mine horn is exalted in the Lord: my mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; because i rejoice in thy Salvation.”
The moment the Light of God shone for her, her story changed; she became a mother. Her coast was enlarged and her mouth could now sing for JOY.
Somebody under the sound of my voice tonight (or reading now); you will begin to KNOW Joy. You will begin to SING for Joy, in the Mighty Name of the Lord Jesus – Amen!
I Believe as she was Praying, agonizing, pouring her heart before God that day, she was saying: Let there be Light, let this reproach of barrenness be removed!
… Believe me honestly, Barrenness is a Reproach!
In Luke 1:25, after God had visited Elizabeth, she said that GOD has removed her reproach.
As many of you as are having reproaches in your life (particularly, that of child bearing) God of Heavens who attended to Hannah will attend to you tonight, in Jesus’ Name!
… I said GOD will attend to you tonight, in the Name of Jesus!
Let there be Light; I said it could mean LET THERE BE JOY!
In Matthew 15:22-28; we have the story of a woman whose daughter was being oppressed by demons.
And we mothers, we can explain that one better: anything that touches your child touches you MORE – when your child is in pain, you have MORE pain!
So this woman whose daughter was being tormented by demons went to the Lord Jesus Christ. And I believe all she was saying to Jesus that day was:
“Let there be LIGHT – so that the demons (Agents of Darkness) tormenting my daughter could leave her alone!
Enough is Enough! Am tired of going up and down; am tired of going from one Mountain to the other; am tired of seeing various Prophets (fake or genuine).
… LET THERE BE LIGHT!
Put an end to the activities of demons in the life of my daughter: let her be FREE.
She was so desperate to the extent that, at first Jesus ignored her. Jesus was not ready to attend to her. Jesus told her He was not sent to people like her.
… But she knew she had come to the last Bus Stop – no help can come elsewhere!
She stayed with God! And before the end of the day, her Light SHONE – and the demons left her daughter.
As many of you that are having challenges concerning your children: tonight, the LIGHT of God will SHINE for you – Amen!
I say: concerning those situations in the lives of your children, Let There Be LIGHT! Let there be FREEDOM, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
We have the story of Peter in Luke 5:1-7; the story of a man who worked very HARD.
The Bible recorded; he fished all night! But what was the result of his Fishing Activities? He caught NOTHING!
… You can say he experienced REPEATED FAILURES!
The first time he threw the Net, he caught nothing! Again, nothing! Again, until daybreak – so he gave up;
“Well, the situation today is bad, let me accept my lot and go home!”
But you know the story, you know how it ended: Jesus stepped into the situation; the LIGHT of the world stepped into the situation and he caught a lot of Fishes that his boat began to sink!
I don’t know who you are that is here tonight (or reading now); you have been experiencing repeated Failures; you have laid your hands on so many Businesses.
Because people are selling Sachet Water (and they are making it) you went into the business. Alas, the moment you started selling Sachet Water, nobody is buying it again.
Oh, you heard that they are selling Fruits; everybody loves to eat Fruits nowadays. You changed your Business, you started selling Fruits – The same Story!
… Several things you have laid hands on, you keep failing!
Or you are a student, you keep sitting for a particular exam several times over: you keep failing.
I have Good News for you: The Light of God will shine for you tonight and Failure will end in your life – Amen!
In Place of sorrow, you will have JOY! I say: you will have JOY (3ce)! In the Name of Jesus – Amen!
Peradventure, why you are not experiencing Joy is because you are STAGNANT.
We have said that Let there be Light could mean: Let there be JOY.
When someone is stagnant (you are not making Progress), you are just on the same spot; you cannot experience Joy.
As a matter of fact, you are Sorrowful – day in, day out as you see your colleagues making headway in life!
We all know the story of that Blind Man that was put at the Gate of the Temple called Beautiful, in Acts 3:1-9.
This man sat there everyday, watching others going excitedly into the Temple to Worship God; watching others Praising God. But he was on the same spot, he can’t join them.
Why? Because he was Lame! He saw things happening for others; nothing happened for him.
Until one day that Peter came, as the Representative of Light. grabbed this man, and the LIGHT of God flooded his life!
… And the sorrow of many years suddenly turned to JOY.
I think we should read that one quickly – Acts 3:1-9. It’s so interesting. And I will lay my emphasis on verses 7 and 8 of it. So let’s look at verses 7 and 8 quickly:
7 And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.
8 And he leaping up stood, and walked, and entered with them into the temple, walking, and leaping, and praising God.
… When the LIGHT shone for him, the Stagnancy came to an end!
As many that are Stagnant tonight; the Lord will cause His Light to shine for you – Amen.
I say the Lord will cause His Light to shine for you; you will begin to make PROGRESS (2ce) – Amen!
He LEAPED up, he walked, he entered the Temple with the rest people. He Praised God with the rest people.
As the Light will shine for you tonight; you will begin to walk with your equals!
… Somebody is not hearing me: You will begin to walk with your Equal, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
You will enter into your GLORY with the rest tonight; in the Mighty Name of Jesus – Amen!
You will enter into the realm of Glory, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
Also, maybe you are not experiencing Joy because YOU ARE LONELY.
Loneliness could be very bad; you don’t have somebody to share your life with. But I have Good News for you tonight: Jesus is the Best FRIEND you can have. When Jesus is with you, He will solve the problem of LONELINESS – Amen.
Are you a single Sister or single Brother in the house? You supposed to have even stopped child bearing. But no man is looking towards your side?
So your case is just like that man that we have his story recorded for us in John 5:1-9 (we all know the story).
The man at the Pool of Bethesda. He has been there for years. He has made several attempts, and had failed. The wife and children have deserted him, his siblings have left him alone.
He was alone in sorrow, in agony; as a matter of fact, in despair. He has lost hope – he never thought anything good can happen to him again.
That is the reason when Jesus approached him and said: Will you want to be made whole?
Instead of jumping at the offer – finally, somebody is coming to my aide!
He said, Ah! It’s like you don’t know my story? I’m lonely, I have no man!
But by the end of the day, the HELP of the helpless came through for him. Though he has lost hope, his hope was restored.
… Your Hope will be RESTORED – Amen!
Somebody is not hearing me; Whatever it is that has made you to lose hope; you think Ah! I’m forty (40) years old, who wants to marry me at age forty (40)?
Eh! I’m a man, am fifty (50) years old when my mates are already grandparents. Well, when next I come, I will choose it right!
… No! That is not the counsel of God!
In Jeremiah 32:27; it is written that there is NOTHING is too hard for God to do.
Because you are here tonight under the sound of my voice (or reading now): the LIGHT of God will Shine for you and the LONELINESS in your life will be terminated – AMEN!
God will remember you; you will be CELEBRATED; Wedding Bell will ring for you, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
… If you believe, say Amen – AMEN!
… That Amen is not Born Again!
Peradventure, your own source of sorrow is SICKNESS – Sickness that has refused to yield to any Medical aide.
You have used various medication, the problem remains the same!
Oh! You are told if you get to Dubai (United Arab Emirate, UAE); the problem will be over. You went there, No solution!
… Somebody said: you went to the wrong Place!
If you go to India, that your problem will be removed. You went there, No solution!
I want to announce to you that JESUS is in the house – the LIGHT of the world!
You will all remember the story of the woman in Luke 8:43-43; The woman with the Issues of Blood!
She has spent all that she had, but then, the Light of God SHONE upon her, and the problem was removed.
Everything that has been draining your Resources will come to an end tonight, in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
Maybe your own lack of Joy is due to POVERTY:
You are living from hand to mouth; you are eating and wearing the available not the DESIRABLE.
I have Good News for you: The One who intervened in the affairs of Jabez will do it for you – Amen!
In 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, Jabez called on the Name of the LORD. You will note his first request was: “God, Bless me INDEED!”
… That was what was uppermost in his heart.
If you are tired of POVERTY tonight, and you will call on the God of Heavens, your story will CHANGE; and abundance of Heaven will be your portion – Amen!
WHAT WILL I DO FOR THIS LIGHT TO BEGIN TO SHINE FOR ME TO EXPERIENCE JOY?
- Be ready to pour out your hearts to God in PRAYER, like Hannah.
You are not here to play; you are not here to watch. You are here to have an Encounter with God.
So when it is time for PRAYERS, pour out your hearts to Him to like Hannah did!
2. Refuse to take “NO” for an answer.
You have been coming to every Month: okay, maybe God will do it next Month. Okay, maybe during the Special Holy Ghost Service. If it doesn’t come through to me during the Special Holy Ghost Service, Convention is coming.
No! Why not tonight? – Tonight must be your Night!
I want you to SHOUT: “Let there be LIGHT” –
Let me begin to KNOW JOY.
Apart from refusing to take No for an answer like Jacob in Genesis 32:26;
3. You need to be OBEDIENT.
… Obedience is KEY, if you want the LIGHT of God to shine for you.
4. Finally, you need to be SPECIFIC in your request.
Jabez was so SPECIFIC concerning his request; he said: “Bless me Indeed, Enlarge my Coast, let Thine hand be with me, Keep me from evil.”
… And the Bible recorded: God granted him ALL his requests!
Hannah was not just asking for any child, Hannah was SPECIFIC, she said: give me a MAN CHILD.
Bartimeaus was SPECIFIC; when Jesus asked for what he wanted, he said: “That I might receive my SIGHT.”
Brethren, I want you to be up standing: It is your turn to KNOW JOY.
… Please, can we be up standing (2ce)? We want to PRAY!
We want to call on the God of Heaven to send His Light, so that our situations will turn; everything that has been causing us sorrows will give way and we will begin to experience JOY.
We want to say FATHER (I can’t hear you). FATHER; send Your LIGHT into my life; let Darkness give way, let me begin to experience JOY.
PRAY in the Name of Jesus: my Father and my God, send Your Light into my life; let darkness give way from tonight onwards. Oh God, let me begin to experience Joy – let there be Joy in my life.
I am TIRED of sorrow Lord. Sorrow has to do with darkness. I want Joy, I want JOY! Light of God shine upon me!
… In Jesus Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Be Specific; whatever it is that has made you to have sorrow, mention to Him now.
Maybe it is: POVERTY, BARRENNESS, LONELINESS, STAGNANCY, SICKNESS. Whatever it is, mention to Him;
Lord, send Your Light (2ce), let me have Joy on this Area. No more Sickness, no more Stagnancy, no more Loneliness. Settle me Lord.
In Jesus Name we have Prayed – Amen!
CLOSING PRAYER
Everlasting Father, the God of all flesh; with whom nothing shall be impossible.
We have cried tonight, LET THERE BE LIGHT: let every works of Darkness in our lives come to an end.
Let there be JOY, let there be Joy, in the Name of Jesus!
Thank You Blessed Redeemer, we Love and Appreciate You.
In Jesus’ Name we have Prayed – AMEN!
Let somebody shout Hallelujah – HALLELUJAH!!!
