OPENING PRAYER
Our Father and our God; the One who lives forever we worship You.
The Author and Finisher of our Faith, there is none like You.
We give You all the Glory – Please, accept our worship in Jesus Name.
Today Lord God Almighty here and everywhere in the world inclusive those reading now on the Label of DMC; show Yourself Mighty in Jesus Name.
In the lives of all Your Children, my Father and my God; show Yourself Mighty.
Even as a result of this Service, my Father and my God; let there be Mighty Testimonies.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Praise the Lord Hallelujah – Hallelujah!
We are continuing with our discussions on Going Higher.
And this time around, we will be looking at Part 4 in the Series.

And our Bible Text still remains 1 Kings 17:1.
“And Elijah the Tishbite, who was of the inhabitants of Gilead, said unto Ahab, As the LORD God of Israel liveth, before whom I Stand, there shall not be dew nor rain these Years but according to my word”.
Elijah the Tishbite; this Man was of the inhabitants of Gilead; this Man who was a Nobody; whose father’s name was not mentioned – Walked into the Presence of the King and said: Your Majesty, as the Lord God Almighty lives; I shut the Heavens over you – No more rain, no more dew until I call for it. And he walked straight out of the Palace.
The worst kind of attack of an enemy is to close the Heavens over the fellow.
In Amos 4: 7-8; God Himself said: When He want to really, really show His anger; He will allow rain to fall on a City and He will keep the Other Cities dry.
The result is: The City that got the rain will Prosper; the Cities without the rain will withered.
And then the Cities that had withered will go to the City that got the rain to even get water to drink.
All the forces of darkness that may be waging war against any of you my children; right now the Heavens will be shut over them – Amen.
But for you to go Higher; you need Open Heavens – Heaven must be opened over you if you ever wants to go Higher.
Because if the Heaven is shut; not only will you be able to go Higher, you will begin to wither – That is what the Passage says in Amos 4: 7-8.
Why is it that Open Heavens is so Crucial?
When the Heavens are opened to someone, the fellow could receive:
- Divine Visitations.
In Exodus 3: 1-15; you discovered that Moses has been in exile for forty (40) Years. He had become Practically a forgotten Man.
At the age of eighty (80) Years, he was at the backside of a desert looking after the flocks of Jethro his father in-law – Not his own flocks.
At eighty (80) Years old, when a man should be resting, happily retired; this Man was at the backside of a desert looking after another man’s flocks.
Then the Heaven opened and he got a Divine Visitation and the tides turned for the better.
From that day onwards, Moses was climbing steadily upwards.
- When the Heavens open for someone, he gets an affirmation from Heaven.
The Almighty said something about the fellow – Whatever God says about you; that is of course what you will be – Amen.
Or whatever He says about you, determines what you will be become.
Because according to Romans 4:17; the Bible says: God calls those things which be not as though they were.
In Judges 7: 15-25; there was a Young Man called Gideon.
He was hiding in a cave harvesting – Hiding from the enemies of Israel who come to take everything from him.
The Almighty God appeared unto him because the Heavens opened for him – And God said: Hello, Mighty Man of Valour!
And Gideon must have looked around and said: Is there somebody else here that you are talking to? Because if I be a Mighty Man of Valour, can I be hiding from the enemies?
But then you know the rest of the story.
Whatever God calls you that is what you will become – Amen.
I’m Praying for someone here today listening to me or reading now on the Label of DMC; that the Heavens will open – Amen. And the Almighty God Himself will call you a Mighty Man/Mighty Woman because God said that is what you will become – Amen.
In Luke 5: 1-11; when Peter had an encounter with Jesus Christ – Jesus called him “Fisher of Men”.
… A Man who has failed as a fisherman was called “Fisher of Men”.
And by the time Heaven opened unto him in Acts 2: 1-4; dramatic changes happened in the Life of Peter.
Because we discovered that by the time we get to Acts 5: 12-16; from the Ministry of a Man who was a failed fisherman; Multitudes of crowd so large nobody could number them came to the Kingdom of God.
- Because when the Heaven opens for a Man; the Destiny of the Man will become Activated.
If the Heaven opens for you, your Destiny will become Activated.
Like in the case Moses that we mentioned earlier on – Moses knew while in Egypt that he was to be Great.
Something within him told him: Hey, boy; you are the one who will deliver Israel out of Bondage – He knew it.
That is why when he went out in Exodus 2; to see his Brethren.
Because he knew he wasn’t an Egyptian and he saw an Egyptian ill treating a Jew. He sprang into Action and killed the Egyptian – Which of course led him to exile.
By the time, the Heavens opened unto him in Exodus 3; he has forgotten everything about being a Deliverer but his Destiny became Activated.
When you read about a Man called Elisha and I hope we will Study him sometimes in the future if the Holy Spirit allows.
In 1 Kings 19: 19-21; when he was busy as a farmer and Elijah Passed by and threw his Mantle upon him.
… Elisha knew what that meant – Oh, you mean I’m called to be a Prophet.
But he didn’t Prophesy anything at all until 2 Kings 2: 9-15 when the Heaven opened.
And Elijah went by Whirlwind to Heaven and all of a sudden Elisha became the Prophet.
When the Heaven opens, your Destiny become Activated.
In Galatians 1:15; Paul said: God has separated me to Himself from my mother’s womb.
… My Destiny right from my mother’s womb is that I will be a Mighty Vessel in God’s Hands.
But nothing happened while he was going to the Law School, while he was going about Persecuting Christians.
… Nothing happened – He was just going in the exact opposite direction of the Plan of God for his Life.
Until Acts 9: 1-21; when on the way to Damascus, the Heavens was opened unto him and his Destiny became Activated.
I Pray for you my Beloveth listening to me wherever in the world or reading now on the Label of DMC; today the Heaven will open for you – Amen. And whatever you are born to become will become Activated today – Amen.
- When the Heaven opens to somebody; it can make a difference between Life and Death.
Even if it looks as if death is about to swallow you up and suddenly the Heaven opened; death will lose his Victim.
If you read Genesis 32: 1-end – Beautiful Chapter.
Jacob was going home after he has been in exile for years.
He was going home but he was aware that his brother was at home and the last time they met, the brother has sworn – I’m just waiting for our father to die before I kill you.
So, Jacob sent ahead to his brother: I’m coming back home just to test the waters.
And the brother said: Yes sir, you are Most Welcome. I will meet you on the way and I will come with four hundred (400) Men with me.
… So, get ready!
But that night in Genesis 32 – If you begin reading from Verse 24; the Heavens opened to Jacob and an Angel of the Most High God Paid him a visit and they did a “Wrestling Bout”.
By the following morning as you read in Genesis 33: 1-5; death has been changed from death to Life for Jacob.
The Man who was coming to kill, came now to embrace him.
Why? – Because something has happened that night: The Heaven has opened, the name of Jacob has changed to Israel.
… Death was coming for Jacob but it was Life that met Israel.
I have shared the Testimony with you a long time ago – Some of have never heard it, some of you must have forgotten.
When I was a Lecturer at the University of Lagos and one of my students came to me one day crying.
What is the Problem?
She had a Dream – In the Dream, she was given a Lift in a car. As soon as she entered into the car; everybody in the car Pulled out guns to shoot her.
And she woke up screaming.
She knew this wasn’t an “Ordinary Dream”.
So, first she ran to one Herbalist – What is the meaning of this Dream? What am I going to do about it to get out of it?
There is nothing anybody can do to help you – On the 23rd of March you will die.
… He (Herbalist) gave her the exact date.
So, she ran away from that one and ran to a “Palm Reader” – Saying, maybe you will give me a better result.
That one read the Palm and say: Hey, your case is settled on the 23rd of March – Without any doubt you will die.
So, she decided maybe this Palm Reader and Herbalist are friends; so she ran to a Prophet by the Beach.
She came to him and ask Help him for Help.
That one rang his bell, lit his candle, rolled on the sand; came back to her and said: Ma, there is nothing any Man can do for you – 23rd of March, you will die.

And by the time she came to us; she was almost crazy – I mean you will be if three (3) different People gave you the date of your death.
But I laughed when she was telling the story and I wasn’t quite as wise as I am now because when she saw me laughing, she thought I was the one to execute the Judgement of death.
Sir, why are you laughing?
I said because I know somebody who can change Death to Life.
Surrender your Life to Jesus Christ and you will not die.
Of course, in that kind of situation; you don’t have to Preach long – She gave her Life to Jesus Christ and then finally 24th of March came and she came to my house.
Meanwhile, she has been coming everyday and I have been reassuring her that she won’t die.
24th of March came; she came to the office and she said I’m alive.
I said: I told you that you will be!
But she said something Strange happened in our Hostel last night.
I said: What was it?
She said: Not a Single girl in our Hostel was able to sleep. They were all complaining in the morning that they could not sleep. What do you think happened?
I said: The Angel of death came looking fir you but now you are a New Person.
If a Man is in Christ; he is a New Creature; Old Things has Passed away, behold all Things has become New.
So, they couldn’t find the Old Person and that is why you are still alive today.
May I decree to someone who has been destined to die soon; in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ; your appointment with death is cancelled – Amen.
- When the Heaven opens to someone; the fellow will begin to see Visions of God.
Ezekiel 1:1; Ezekiel said: The Heaven opens and I saw Visions of God.
You know that if you want to go Higher and Higher; how can you go Higher and Higher if you have no Vision? If you don’t know where the Higher you are talking about is?
Proverbs 29:18 says: Without Vision, the People Perish.
When the Heaven opens to you; you begin to see Visions of Greatness; you begin to see Visions of you doing Marvelous Things for God; you begin to see Visions of being so Mightily Blessed so that you can be a Blessing to others.
Which brings us to then the Big Question: How do I get the Heavens to Open for me?
Very Simple: If you read Deuteronomy 28: 1-13; you will see all the things listed there.
They are the things that can happen to someone for whom the Heaven is opened.
- When the Heavens is opened unto you; you will be Blessed Mightily – You will be running away from Blessings and Blessings will be Pursuing you and Overtaking you.
… That is a Sign that your Heavens are opened!
- Enemies will come against you one way and flee from you seven (7) ways.
Why? – Because the Heavens is opened for you and when they looked behind you, they will see you are surrounded by Angels – Divine Visitors.
- When the Heavens are opened unto you; you will suddenly discovered that you no longer borrow; you will be lending to Nations.
- When the Heavens opened to you; then you will see your Promotions being Accelerated and you begin to reach to the Top and staying there. You will be the Head and not Tail.
And the condition is Simple: It says if you will hearkened diligently to the Voice of the Lord your God; to obey, to serve and do all that He commands you; then the Heavens will open.
Interestingly, one of the conditions you will find in Malachi 3:10 – That Passage the enemies has tried hard to Persuade you against.
Where the Almighty God says: Bring ye all the Tithes into my House so that there might be food there. Test me thereby if I will not open the Windows of Heaven.
… That’s a Promise.
And that is why the enemies did not want you to hear anything like that at all.
That is why some People keep on telling you: That is Old Testament. They won’t tell you that you shall be the Head and not the Tail is Old Testament.
… No, they don’t refer that to you.
They don’t tell you that: No weapon fashioned against you shall not Prosper is in the Old Testament – But they claimed it.
… They don’t want you to link the two (2).
But there is a Bigger Question and the Question is: What do I do to avoid the Heavens being closed over me?
What do I do because I don’t want the Heaven to Close over me?
It’s very Simple:
Your Obedient must be Complete and not Half Way.
God has always said that: He Prefers that you are either Hot or Cold – Revelations 3: 15-16. That if you are neither Hot or Cold; He will spue you out of His mouth.
He will want you to be either Cold or Hot – Just make a Choice!
If you want to obey; obey completely or don’t obey at all.
I give you an example: 1 Samuel 15: 1-end.
God told King Saul: I remembered what the Amalekites did to my children when they were on their way to the Promised Land and I Promised them that I’m coming to wipe them out in one day.
I had waited until I have a King and you are the King now.
Go and carry out my Judgement – Don’t keep anything alive because that is what I Promised them.
King Saul went – He killed the Men, he killed the Women, killed the children, spared the King and saw all the fat animals and said: I think this will make some Good food.
When that happened; God closed the Heavens over King Saul.
How do I know that God closed the Heavens over him?
Oh, read 1 Samuel 28: 3-25 – The enemies came about to fight (The Philistines) and King Saul wanted to hear from God. He couldn’t hear by Dreams, he couldn’t hear by Visions, he couldn’t hear by any means at all because the Heavens had been shut.
So, he had to say: Help me look for a Witch. If I can’t get Help from Servants of God, let me go to Servants of the devil.
I Pray for you that the Heavens won’t ever close over you – Amen.
Because one of the Signs that the Heaven is closed is that a Problem will come and your Relatives that you have been Preaching to; that you are inviting: Get out of darkness, come to Light; will now say: Don’t you think we should use Native Methods? Don’t you think that your situation will require the attention of the Witch Doctors?
In the Name that is above every other names; I said one more time: The Heavens will never ever close over you – Amen!
But then the Question is; which is a Bigger Question still is: Suppose the Heaven is already Closed; is there a way I can convince the Almighty God that Please open the Heavens again?
Yes, there is a Passage in the Bible: 2 Chronicles 7: 13-14.
The Almighty God said: If I close the Heavens, if my People who are called by my Name will:
- Humble themselves.
- Turn from their wicked ways
- Seek the face of God.
Then I will hear from Heaven, I will hear their cry, I will open the Heavens and heal their Land.
Are you operating under “Closed Heavens? Is everything just going from bad to worst? Are you at a Stage when you don’t even know what next to do?
God said: Humble yourself.
Come to Him because you see in James 4:6; the Bible says: God resist the Proud and He gives Grace to the Humble.
You want to go Higher, learn from the Lord Jesus Christ Himself in Philippians 2: 5-12.
The Bible said that He humbled Himself and God lifted Him up.
As I taught you in the School of Disciples (SOD) for those of you who has been in the School. Those of you who has never been to; maybe you should enroll.
Jesus Christ took seven (7) Steps downwards and God took him seven (7) Steps Upwards until He has a Name that is above every other names – That at the mention of the Name of Jesus, all things shall be bow.
If the Heavens has been shut over you and you want It opened; today the first Step is: Humble Yourself.
Pride can shut the door of Heaven over a Man on a Permanent Basis.
I tell you one Story and allow you to Pray – You have heard me say it before and it’s for the benefit of those who are hearing it for the first time and it is a Good Reminder.
When I joined the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); I was the most highly Educated Person in the Church – I mean I was a Lecturer at the University.
It wasn’t long before I became an Interpreter for the General Supritendent himself.
And in those days, there were quite a few Interpreters in the Church – At least I can count about three (3) or four (4).
And the moment that they saw that the General Supritendent had taken Special interest on my interpretation, they left me alone to him and other Pastors when they want to Preach they will take another Interpreter.
And I was feeling Great – Special Interpreter for the General Supritendent
Then one day, one Pastor make a mistake and he invited me to come and interpret for him.
Hey, I was very upset – Who does he thinks he is? Asking me the Interpreter of the General Supritendent to interpret for him?
I interpreted for him because I have no choice but if he knew what was going on in my mind; he would have asked me to go and sit down and get someone else to interpret for him.
The Service was over; I was on my way to my car when God spoke to me loud and clear.
And one of the Blessings that I have was that almost immediately that I got Born Again – I began to hear from God.
God will tell me where there will be Go Slow in Lagos so I would avoid every Go Slow.
Before I come to Church; He will tell me who is going to Preach, even the Bible Passages they are going to use.
… God was telling me in those days!
But as I was going to my car that Sunday; God spoke and said: So, you are now too big to Interpret for my Servant.
… And immediately, everything went Silent.
And I’m telling you that for days after that time; I didn’t hear a Word from God.
I ran into every Possible Hold Up in Lagos – The devil must have known that he is not hearing from God again. So, he tormented me
I Prayed; I Cried, I did everything but God remained Silent until I was desperate!
And I said to God: Please forgive me this once, restore me this once and if I’m going to offend you again tomorrow, take me home today!
Some People don’t know that some of us learnt certain things from experience – We learnt the Hard Way!
As soon as I got to that Level, God knew that He got me now and He started talking to me again!
I can assure you that He still talks to me this morning and I have been hearing from Him ever since – The Heaven remained opened.
I’m begging you my children: Humble yourself.
Remain Humble – And the Higher you go; the Humbler you must become.
You cannot afford Closed Heavens if you ever want to get to where God wants you to get to.
ALTAR CALL
And so, those of you who are listening to me or reading now on the Label of DMC; who has not yet surrendered your Life to Jesus Christ; it is Pride that is Keeping you away from Open Heavens.
Humble yourself, surrender your Life to Jesus Christ today – He will save your Soul and suddenly Heaven will open before you.
So, if you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ; bow your head wherever you are – Cry to Him and say: I won’t struggle with You anymore. I surrender to You – Please, save my Soul and I will serve You for the rest of my Life.
Call on Him and I will Pray with you in a moment and you will begin to enjoy the benefits of Salvation and that of Open Heavens.
Thank You Father.

PRAYER OF SALVATION AND CLOSING PRAYER
My Father and my God; I want to bless Your Holy Name.
I want to Thank You very, very much for Your Words that has come forth to Your children today.
I want to Thank You for these People who are surrendering their lives to You now all over the world.
Please receive them, save their Souls, wash away their sins, receive them Lord into the Family of God.
As they continue to serve you in Humility, keep the Heavens wide open over them.
And for all Your children who has also heard this Message today or read on the Label of DMC; who will say bye-bye to Pride; who will make up their mind to obey you one hundred Percent (100%); Lord God Almighty open the Heavens over them and keep them forever open so that they can continue going Higher and Higher.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
