I want to thank my father and mother in the Lord for this Special Privilege and also giving us the opportunity to have our own Convention this Year (Americas’ Convention 2021).
Psalms 48:1 says:
Great is the Lord
And greatly to be Praised
In the City of our God
In the Mountain of His Holiness
Beautiful for situation
The Joy of the whole Earth
Is Mount Zion on the sides of the North, the City of the Great King
Is Mount Zion on the sides of the North, the City of the Great King
… Repeat!
OPENING PRAYER
Our Father, we worshipped You.
That Great God, The Awesome God, The Powerful God, The Merciful God, The Gracious God, The Omnipotent God, The Omniscience God – You are Mightier than the mightiest, You are Greater than the greatest; Our Master, our God, our Succour, our Provider, our Salvation, our Sanctification, The Power that is inside of us; we Love You, we Praised You, we Honour You, we Celebrate You.
Thank You, Thank You, Thank You; for The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG); Thank You for The Americas; Thank You for our father and mother in the Lord; Thank You for the Program this afternoon (Day 2); Thank You for those who has Graduated, for those You have Ordained – We want to say Thank You.
Thank You Father for this Convention (Americas Convention 2021) – The 25th Convention of the American Continent. You deserved all the Glory, You deserved all the Honour, You deserved all the Adoration.
We know that we know that a Man can receive Nothing except God give it to him or her – Thank You, Thank You, Thank You.
Father Lord, as we go into Your Words; speak to our hearts in the Name of Jesus; set our hearts on Fire, set our bones on Fire, set us on Fire for You in the Name of Jesus; make us Instruments of Honour.
As I speak Your Words today Father, speak through me to bless Your People.
At the End of it all, let Your People be blessed and Father in the Name of Jesus, take all the Glory.
In Jesus Powerful Name we have Prayed – Amen!
If you know that God is going to give you a New Beginning, say Amen – Amen.
If your Miracle is going to be Greater than others, say three Powerful Amen – Amen, Amen, Amen.
… So, shall it be in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
As I delivered these short words; Please Pray for me – My Coach, my father is behind me, watching me and I hope that I’m not shaking too much.
I know that it shall be well in Jesus Name – Amen!
The Title for this Short Message is: “A MANTLE FOR THE TITLE”.
Turn with me to the Book of Acts of The Apostles 2: 1-4.
… And I read:
1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one Place.
2 And suddenly there came a Sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty Wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.
… May the Lord bless the reading of the Words in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
A Mantle is a Staff of Authority that empowers an Individual to operate in the Office he or she is assigned and to deal with every issues that may be connected to the Office he or she occupied.
It is an Important Role in responsibility that Passes from the Superior to the Inferior or to the Junior.
I Pray for you today (or as you read on the Label of DMC): In the Name of Jesus, that the Mantle that you have received this Day from the Ordination from our father in the Lord Praying for you, in you obeying the Word; may you not lose that Mantle in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
As for Jesus Christ our Senior Brother, as our Leader, as our Pastor, as our Saviour – When He was going away, He Passed the Mantle to the Disciples and He told them in John 14:12.
He said: Verily, Verily I say unto you; the works that I do, you shall do and Greater Works than these shall you also do because I go to the Father.
When the Lord wants to accomplish a task on Earth; He can use and He will use whosoever He chooses.
David saved but Cyrus unsaved but it does not matter to God!
DMC NOTES: Isaiah 45:1-25 – The Author of the Book of Isaiah says that, although Cyrus (the King of Persia) does not acknowledge the “One True God”, the LORD will use him to set the Jewish exiles in Babylonia free and re-build Jerusalem.
Even God can appoint a Donkey to do His works.
I Pray for you in the Name of Jesus Christ: That Anointing that you have received today; the Mantle that you have received today will be used for the Kingdom in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
When God called Saul – All the favours that he enjoyed, all the Blessings he enjoyed, all the recognition he enjoyed were just a beginning of what God wants him to do.
When you read the Book of 1 Samuel 9; you will see there that there were some benefits that this Man was given:
- He was made to sit where he or any of his Generation has never sat before – 1 Samuel 9:22.
It says: And Samuel took Saul and his Servant, and brought them into the Parlour (Hall), and made them sit in the Chiefest Place (of Honour) among them that were bidden, which were about thirty Persons.
As you Graduate today, as you are Ordained today – That “Seat of Honour” that God has Prepared for you; may no one take it from you in the Name of Jesus – Amen. May you sit where you have never sat before in the Name of Jesus – Amen
- Because of this Ordination, Guess another thing that he enjoyed: A Reserved Place for Saul.
When you read 1 Samuel 9:24 – And the Cook took up the shoulder, and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul.
… A Nobody, a Man that has failed in all ramifications.
He was looking for the Donkey his father lost and he went into almost four (4) or five (5) Nations, he couldn’t find it.
But when the Day of his New Beginning came; he was made to sit in the “Reserved Place”.
In that same Verse 24 (1 Samuel 9:24) – So he the Cook took the shoulder and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul. And Samuel said, Behold that which is left! Set it before thee, and eat: for unto this time hath it been kept for thee since I said, I have invited the People. So Saul did eat with Samuel that day.
Sir/Ma; there is a “Special Seat” reserved for you in the Kingdom!
… May you occupy that seat in Jesus Name – Amen.
And not that alone Sir/Ma – Do you know that the Servant of Saul (Saul was the one appointed) but he (Servant) enjoyed every Blessings that Saul enjoyed up to this Point (The Servant also Participated in it).
Look at 1 Samuel 9:24 – It says that: So the Cook took the shoulder and that which was upon it, and set it before Saul.
… They both ate together, they felicitated together, they were Congratulated together.
But when you turn with me to the Book of 1 Samuel 9:26; it says that: And they arose early: and it came to Pass about the Spring of the day, that Samuel called Saul to the Top of the house, saying, Up, that I may send thee away. And Saul arose, and they went out both of them, he and Samuel, abroad.
Please, look at that Bible Passage very well – That word “Up” there is not a Verb; it is an Action Word.
It is a Place (A Special Place) for those that are Ordained.*
It is important to Note that all the favours that Saul had enjoyed; all the Blessings that Saul and his Servant had enjoyed was allowed by the Almighty God
He has allowed the Path of Samuel and himself to cross but all the Blessings are not the reason.
Why? – The reason was why for a moment that is appointed unto him to have a New Beginning.
He was called to a “Upper Place” – That Place or “Up Place”; his Servant was not allowed, his wife is not allowed – Only him and Samuel: The one that is ordaining him was appointed.
Something has been kept aside for you today Sir/Ma and it is only you that is aware of it.
I Pray for you in the Name of Jesus – Especially for those of you that are being Ordained today: That thing that has been kept by God for today on your Ordination, may you not miss it by talking carelessly, by driving carelessly – Amen.
There is something that God has kept aside for you and you alone!
You remembered Sir/Ma that when we Ordained you today; we didn’t ordain you with your children, with your wife, or with your husband – Just only you!
So, God is calling all those that has been Ordained today to an “Up Place”. This is the Place you only can reach!
Turn with me to Mark 14:15 – It says: And he will show you a large Upper Room furnished and Prepared: there make ready for us.
May I say to you again – Those of you who are Graduating today, those of you who are Ordained today; that God will show you a “Large Place” an “Upper Place”, a “Furnished Place”, a “Prepared Place”; a Place made ready by the Almighty God – Amen.
May no Man take your Place in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Because every time that God Ordained you; every time God appoints you; every time God gives you a Mantle, He calls you to a “Special Place”.
Look at Revelation 4:1 – It says that: After this I looked, and, behold, a door was opened in Heaven.
May the door of Heaven be opened to you in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
A door was opened in Heaven and the first voice which I heard was as it were of a Trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither (Higher).
Tell your Neighbour: Today, on the 2nd Day of the Convention; God is Calling you where? – To come up hither (Higher).
And I will show thee things which must be hereafter.
What do I need the Mantle for? Why do I need the Mantle?
Very Simple: Romans 8:19 says: For the earnest expectation of the Creature waiteth for the manifestation of the sons of God.
Do you know Sir/Ma that:
I. Your Neighbours were waiting for you to be Ordained?
II. The City is waiting for you to receive the Anointing.
III. The Sicks are waiting for you to receive the Anointing.
IV. Those who are Possessed with demons are waiting for you.
V. The Sinners are there waiting for you to encourage and bring them to the Kingdom.
VI. The Backsliders are waiting there for you to bring them back to the Church.
… You will manifest in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Many People are now in their homes that they don’t want to come back. But by the Special Annointing that you have received today, by the Mantle that you have received today; you are going to bring many to the Kingdom of God in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Title is not enough; Ordination is not enough; Position is not enough – It must be backed up by a “Mantle of Fire”.
It is important to understand Sir/Ma that this Mantle is a “Mantle of Authority”; this Mantle is a “Mantle of Power”; this Mantle is a “Mantle of Protection” because it says: Touch Not My Anointed and do My Prophet No Harm.
Nobody can molest you again, Nobody can abuse you again – It is a “Mantle of Respect” in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Even in Acts 10:38; it says: Acts 10:38 – How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with Power: who went about doing Good, and Healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with Him.
Quickly, by the Special Grace of God, this Evening I want to look at this Topic in three (3) Sub Divisions:
- How do we Ignite the Fire? – How does the Mantle works for me?
- What is the Whole essence of Fire? What is the Whole essence of the Mantle?
- How do I keep the Fire Burning?
May the Fire that you received today be burning in your Souls, Spirit and Body in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
OUTLINE NO 1: HOW DO WE IGNITE THE FIRE?
One thing that is common to the Carriers of the Mantle, to the Carrier of the Fire is what I call Passion.
The Disciples and the Brethren were Passionately waiting on the Day of Pentecost.
The Bible made us to understand that they waited for fifty (50) days – Forty (40) days Jesus Christ was still with them on Earth and ten (10) days in the Upper Room.
What were they waiting for Passionately?
They were waiting in the Upper Room and when the Fire came, Nobody molested them – They began to conquer Kingdom for the Almighty God!
In Acts 2: 1-4; where we read in our Bible Text; there is always “A Waiting” before the Pouring of Fire – Passionately, they waited.
Do you know Sir/Ma; all Carriers of Fire are Men and Women of Passion – You cannot be Full of Passion and be empty of Power!
Take Note of the following Points on Passion that will fuel your Passion from now henceforth:
Elisha as an example – He was so Passionate of the “Double Portion” that when they went to Gilgal, sit down but he refused; they got to Bethel, sit down but he said No sir; they went to Jordan, sit down but he said No sir – Until I received Fire, until I received Power.
Raise your hands and say: Father, give me Passion for Your work in the Name of Jesus!
Because they were Passionately waiting – Acts 2:1; it says that when the Day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all Passionately in one Accord.
No wonder that Fire fell!
… Fire will fall on you today – Amen!
There are some Points I need you to Note about Passion:
- Passion Increases “Will Power”.
What we accomplished in Life is based less on what we want and more on how much you want it.
I. When you are Passionate about an Assignment, you don’t fall asleep.
II. When you are Passionate about a work; until the work is done; you don’t sit down.
- Passion Produces Energy.
No Passionate Person lacks Energy.
A Person that has No Energy has no Passion!
- Passion Generates Force of Breakthroughs.
Two Hundred (200) Executives were asked what was it that was needed most for Young People to be Successful?
The Number 1 Quality for us as an Executive to succeed is Enthusiasm and not Talent!
Eighty Percent (80%) of them recognised that they needed to be Fired within to achieve Success.
- Passion Creates a Contagious Fire.
Show me a Church that is Passionate about the work of God; show me a Church that is Passionate about Evangelism; show me a Church that is Passionate about Prayers – They don’t need to invite People, as People will come to the Church because Fire of Passion is Contagious.
Acts 2: 2-3:
- And suddenly there came a Sound from Heaven as of a rushing Mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting.
- And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them.
Without any Question; the Apostles were Men of Passion!
Raise up your hands and say: My Father, my Father; I need Passion – Ignite me, Set me on Fire for You Oh God in the Name of Jesus.
I need Passion for the work of God, for Holiness – As a Child of God to live Holy, to live Pure.
Father, create that Fire of Passion in me in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
OUTLINE NO 2: WHAT WAS THE WHOLE ESSENCE OF FIRE? WHY DO WE NEED THE FIRE?
Fire is not Idle – Fire is for Action. Fire is Aggressive, Fire doesn’t even know who sent it.
So, the essence of Fire is for “WAR,”.
W – Stands for “Witnessing”
A – Stands for “To Arrest every Opposition’s”
R – Resist every Demonic Powers, Demons from the Kingdom of Hell.
When we are talking about Witnessing; Acts 1:8 says: But ye shall receive Power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you (Those who Graduated today, those Ordained today, those Listening or Reading on the Label of DMC, Family Members): and ye shall be Witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost Part of the Earth.
First as a Witness because there are many things that happens when you Witness for the Almighty God.
What is it that happens?
I. As a Witness, you bring Glory to the Almighty God.
John 15:8 says: Herein is my Father Glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my Disciples.
What does it takes for me to be a Disciple? – Witness!
II. The Love of Christ Compels/Constraints/Pushes us to share our Faith.
How many of you Love Jesus Christ?
That Love will constraint you to Witness for the Almighty God.
III. Sharing your Faith is a Command by the Lord Jesus Christ.
He said: Follow me and I will make you Fishers of Men.
IV. People without Christ are Lost and you are an Ambassador.
Jesus says: I am The Way, I am The Truth and I am The Light.
How many of you wants your Relatives to be Lost? How many of you wants your Family Members to be damned in Hell?
What must you do?
Witness! So that when the Trumpet of God will sound; yourself, your wife, your children, your Family Members, everyone of them shall be saved.
By the Special Grace of God – In my family; I was the first to be saved. Every Brothers and, every Sisters of mine are now saved.
And for every Souls that they won to the Lord; a Star is added to my Crown because I brought all of them to the Kingdom.
Ask your Neighbour: Is your Brother saved? Is your Sister saved?
If they go through Hell Sir/Ma; and you are going to Heaven; they are going to drag you.
May their Blood never be required of your Hand in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
V. God wants us to Witness because of the benefits He offered to those who received Christ.
When you introduced Jesus Christ to Others; they become Children of God.
And the Bible says that there is rejoicing in Heaven when a Single Person gave their Life to the Lord Jesus Christ.
How many of you wants to make Heaven rejoice? – So Witness!
VI. God wants you to Witness because of the benefits to those who Witness.
Witnessing stimulates your Spiritual Growth.
When you think that you are down, your Spirit is down; get out of your house and go everywhere to Witness – By the time that you come back Sir/Ma, your Spirit will be Up.
And when you are Witnessing, it compels you to Pray for them because everybody you bring to the Kingdom will stay saved and make it to the Kingdom in Jesus Name – Amen!
VII. God wants you to Witness so as to experience the Tremendous Privilege and Honour.
The Bible says that: He that wineth Soul is Wise!
How many “Wise People” do we have in the House (or reading now on the Label of DMC)? – The DMC Family Members!
If you are Wise, then win Souls for God!
By the Special Grace of God, I thank my father in the Lord. I have been following him now for the Past forty five (45) Years.
If you take Daddy GO (Pastor E.A Adeboye) and you cut him into Pieces; every Piece of him will be telling you: Live Holy, win a Soul for the Kingdom of God and Plant Church for the Kingdom of God.
… That is what I have learnt and he has not deviated!
I remembered that there was a time he came to America – He said: My sons, my daughters, what are you doing?
We responded: Sir, the People we have in America are not Qualified.
And he laughed – He looked at us and say: You that you are talking to me, are you Qualified when God called you?
He Qualified those who are Called!
Are you Called? – He will Qualify you in the Name of Jesus – Amen. You will be a Soul Winner, a Church Planter in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
MAY I DIGRESS: If God is Calling you to Plant a Church and there are some Politics on the way; Please see me (Pastor James Fadel) – Because the Mandate from my father is that in the Continent of America, we must Double.
… There is No Excuse not to Plant Church!
VIII. In Witnessing, you must Arrest every Oppositions.
With the Fire comes, boldness to arrest every Oppositions comes.
Therefore, every Oppositions to the Gospel, every Antagonist to the Gospel shall be destroyed.
The Disciples of Old were not afraid of any Oppositions – They will lock them up today, the Angel of God will come and open the Door. The next day they go everywhere silencing every Oppositions.
By the reason of the Anointing over your Head; may every Oppositions be Silenced in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
“R” means that you must resist the devil.
In Acts 3: 1-7 – As soon as the Fire fell on the Apostles and they received Power; they received the Power to resist the devil.
But the Question is: What if you are the devil?
It is easy to cast out devil but if it is you that is fighting your Neighbour and you don’t forgive? What about if you are the one that has Anger in your heart and you refused to let go?
May you not be your own Enemy in the Name of Jesus – Amen.
Deliverance will come – The devil cannot Stand you if you have the Fire!
Raise up your hands and say: My Father, my Father; by the reason of the Fire, by the reason of the Mantle, by the reason of the Anointing; I resist every Power from Hell in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
OUTLINE NO 3: HOW DO I KEEP THE FIRE BURNING?
There is a Message our father in the Lord Preached about seven (7) Years to ten (10) Years ago and it is still trending on the Internet – About the fact that you must keep the Fire Burning.
The Message was Preached during “The Azusa Street Carnival”.
… The Fire should keep burning and it must never go out!

To keep the Fire Burning – Jude 1:20: But ye, beloved, building up yourselves on your Most Holy Faith, Praying in the Holy Ghost.
I. If you are a “Full Pastor”; minimum of 2 Hours everyday – Pray in the Spirit, Pray in Understanding, Pray in the Anointing.
II. If you are a Child of God, minimum 1 Hour – Pray in the Spirit, Pray in Understanding, Pray in the Anointing.
Sir/Ma; if you can do that, every Oppositions will be Silenced, every Enemies will bow, every Close Doors will Open in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
Raise your hands and say: My Father, my Father; give me Fire!
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen!
Classical Examples of those whose Fire went out and reasons
I. The Fire of Samson went out due to his Carelessness.
May you not lose your Fire – Amen; may you not be Careless about the work of the Lord – Amen.
II. The Fire of King Saul went out because of Disobedience.
Raise up your hands and say: My Father, my Father; every Spirits of Disobedience, I arrest you today in the Name of Jesus.
III. The Fire of Ananias and Sapphira went out because of Dishonesty.
Are you Paying your Tithe?
May you not be counted as a devil – Amen.
When your Obedience is Complete, Money will locate you – Amen!
In the Parable of the ten (10) Virgins; the Oil of the “Foolish Virgins” finished and so the Fire went out.
May your Fire never go out in the Name of Jesus – Amen!
So, what do I need to do so that my Fire will not go out?
Hebrews 1:9 – Thou hast loved Righteousness, and hated Iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the Oil of Gladness above thy fellows.
Two (2) Things that you need to do – LOVE RIGHTEOUSNESS AND HATE INIQUITIES.
It is not enough for God’s Children to Love Righteousness; you must also hate Evil – Run away from Evil.
Believers must Participate in God’s Anger against sin – Don’t embrace a Sinner.
I’m not saying you shouldn’t bring them to the Kingdom – Bring them into the Kingdom in a sincere Love of Righteousness but hatred for Wickedness.
For the Fire of your Soul not to go down; you must do what I call: “GEEEP”.
I. G – Get down Under. Every morning, lay flat on your face and say: Jesus, I don’t even deserve where I am now; but by your Grace, I am who I am.
If not for God’s Mercy, who am I – A Village Boy. A Village that is not even in the Map of Nigeria but the Mercy of God spoke for me.
If you are here today Sir/Ma; and you have not given your Life to Jesus Christ; there is a Net spread before you – A Net of Mercy.
The Grace of God is reaching out to you wherever you may be right now and asking you to come.
God wants to save you, wash you, transform you into a New Creature.
The Bible says if any Man be in Christ, He is New Creature; Old Things has Passed away, behold everything has become New.
II. E – Expect God to use you as “Ordinary Vessel” for “Extraordinary Works”.
III. E – Embrace the True Identity that God has given to you.
IV. E – Experience Jesus Presence in your Life.
V. P – Place your Confidence in God rather than Man.
The Bible says: Woe is that Man that Put his Trust in Man.
… Ignite the Fire!
So this Evening, we are going to Stand Up and Sing:
Give me Oil in my Lamp
Keep me Burning
Give me Oil in my Lamp
I Pray
Give me Oil in my Lamp
Keep me Burning
Keep me Burning till the End of Day.

If you are here today and you need a Mantle – The Mantle will not come except you become a Part of the Family of God.
I know that you came to celebrate with your family Members for their Graduation or Ordination.
But if you are here today and you have not given your Life to Jesus Christ; Acts 3:26 says: God has sent His Son Jesus Christ to come into the world to bless you and you departing from Iniquity.
If you are here today and you want to give your Life to Jesus Christ; may I see your hands raised?
Say: Jesus, I want to surrender my Life to You.
If you are not shy, come to the front – The Almighty God is about to save you today, Purge you today, write your name in the Book of Life, transform you, give you a New Name, a New Identity.
And if you are here and you are already saved – Raise Up your two (2) hands as you sing that Song again:
Give me Oil in my Lamp
Keep me Burning
Give me Oil in my Lamp
I Pray

If you are giving your Life to Jesus Christ; Please Place your Right Hand on your Chest and say: Jesus, come into my Life. I am sorry for my sins, I know that God has sent You to the world to save me, to bless me. Save me Oh God, make me Your Son/Daughter today. Write my name in the Book of Life, Transform my Life, fill me with Your Fire in the Name of Jesus.
As from today; help me to be able to Witness to Others. I confess with my Mouth and believe in my heart that God has raised Jesus Christ from the dead and I shall be saved. I received Your Salvation.
Thank You for saving me.
In Jesus Mighty Name we have Prayed – Amen.
